Iceland couldn't help but to stare up the mountain wall in front of them with a a sense of dread steadily growing in his stomach.
"How exactly are we getting up this mountain?"
They could all see the top from where they were standing - but their side of the mountain was too steep. Anyone could see it would be too dangerous to climb it unless you had a lot of experience; the kind of experience Iceland knew only Norway and Sweden actually had within their group. Obviously they could always just walk around the mountain to see if there was an easier side to climb, but that would likely add at least a few extra days of travels. Still, their current mountain side was still too steep, dangerous and nothing any sensible person would want to climb. Naturally, however, this also meant Denmark decided the best thing to do was to turn towards Sweden with a grin on his face and smug challenge on his tongue.
"Bet I can climb this faster than you."
"Denmark, don't," Finland sighed, likely already knowing it was too late.
"Last time you climbed you fell down from a pine and broke your thumb," Sweden retorted back to Denmark with a snort.
"Sounds like someone is being a chicken."
"Fine, don't come crying to me when you fall down," Sweden shrugged.
"Guuuys, this is stupid!" Finland complained.
"Guys, seriously?" Iceland couldn't help but snap.
"This is a stupid idea," Norway commented blandly.
"No worries, we have had worse!" Denmark laughed.
Denmark's comment and thumbs up made nothing to calm Iceland's temper or nerves. They had already been walking and climbing for the past few days, but to Iceland's annoyance Norway only shrugged and made no further attempts at stopping them. A climbing contest to the top was the last thing they needed, but sadly enough Iceland's and Finland's words seemed to fall on deaf ears as Denmark and Sweden posed themselves to start the race. Honestly, Sweden's stupidity could be just as bad as Denmark sometimes.
"Ready?"
"Steady."
"GO!"
Denmark and Sweden set off towards the mountain wall and soon started to climb it at a rapid pace, and in response Iceland could only sigh tiredly and turn towards Norway in annoyance.
"Why didn't you stop them? You're the only one these two idiots actually listen to once they start with their idiocy."
"You could actually have stopped them and let us all find an actual good side to climb," Finland complained in agreement.
Norway had the audacity to just shrug in response.
"And risk missing these idiots make fools out of themselves? Not a chance."
"Really?" Finland groaned.
"Feel free to join their climb if you want, or I could just teleport the three of us to the top to wait for these idiots to catch up."
Deciding it was best to just leave Denmark and Sweden alone to their fate and idiocy, Iceland gave Norway a nod for himself and Finland.
"Just get us up already."
Just as Norway's spell started to take hold, Denmark let out a loud yelp, which was then quickly followed by Sweden angrily yelling at Denmark to get his ass out of Sweden's face.
Iceland decided he didn't want to know.
