"Do you know what happened on their date?" Huelene asked
"No, I wasn't there to watch," Ebony answered.
"Did she tell you how the date went?" Huey asked.
"Yes!" Ebony answered.
She arrived in front of the house at 8:20 pm.
I was peaking at them through the curtains to see what was happening. I had nothing better to do since Nicole went to sleep.
And I was trying to make sure Jazmine made it inside safely.
I couldn't see inside his car since it was dark outside. I waited for around five minutes until Tyrone got out of his car and jogged around to open the door for Jazmine.
He opened the passenger door for her and helped her out. Jazmine was then revealed and she smiled at him.
He closed the passenger door and then they both started walking to the front door. I ran away from the curtains and propped myself on the couch to look as I was watching tv.
I heard the door start to unlock and it slightly revealed Jazmine and Tyrone.
"I'll see you on Monday," Jazmine told him before leaning in to give him a kiss.
"You too, bye!" I heard him say before he departed from her. Jazmine had come inside the house then she closed the door and leaned against it smiling.
"How was your date?" I asked as she sat up from the door.
"It was nice, he took me out to eat at Olive Garden, and then afterward we took a walk at the park," she said still smiling.
"Was he being a gentleman?" I stupidly asked.
"Yes, he didn't let me touch a single handle, he had me walk on the inside of him when we were walking on the sidewalk, he paid for my dinner, complimented me, and we just had good conversations at the restaurant, the park, and on the way home," she said.
"Well that's good you had a good day with him," I said.
"Yeah," she sadly spoke.
"It was nice!" she said before shedding a few tears.
"What's wrong, why are you crying?" I asked concerned.
"I miss him," she said wiping her tears.
"Who, Huey?" I asked in disbelief.
"Yeah, it's hard to move on from someone you love," she answered.
She walked past me and sat down on one of the chairs in the living room. I followed and sat down close to her on the couch.
"Oh my, I didn't think you were really in love with him," I said still in disbelief.
"I am still in love with him, I've always been in love with him," she said.
"If you don't mind me asking, why are you in love with someone like him? I just don't see a type of person like you and him clashing together," I asked her.
"It's kind of hard to explain, I guess it's just the feeling of finding your soulmate," she said laughing.
"When I first met Huey I thought he was a weird and mean kid," she said.
"How old were you when you met him?" I asked her.
"We were both 10 years old and he lived across the street from me. I met him when my family had dinner with his family," she said.
"So was he like a childhood crush?" I asked as she nodded.
"A lot of people knew I liked him but I hate how slow he was because he could never seem to notice," she said as I giggled a little.
"You thought he was slow?" I asked still laughing.
"Yes, when it came to human emotions, but in other departments he was smart," she corrected.
"What did you like about him that made him attractive?" I asked.
"I liked that he was smart, tall, bold, and he was nice to only me, and I had a bit of a taste for the chocolate side," she said feeling no shame.
"So you didn't mind when he was mean to others?" I asked confused. I thought she liked nice guys.
"No, I didn't mind when he was mean to others. I would pretend I care, but I didn't. It kept the girls away on most occasions," she said smiling.
"You know how hard it is to find a guy that's mean to everybody else but has a soft spot for you?" she rhetorically asked.
"I'm guessing it's hard, but did you not like anything about him?" I asked.
"I didn't like how he smoked weed 24/7, I didn't like how he made himself easy for girls to fuck him, and I sometimes didn't like his boldness," she exclaimed.
"There were times I wanted to shove that cigarette so far down his fucking throat that it would burn his lungs," she cursed.
"And when it came to him and females, I wonder how he can fuck so many and not get AIDS, but I sleep with one person and I get it. I hated how most girls would come up to me and brag about him fucking them, and most of them did it to mess with me. Then when he felt like he could say anything I would catch off guard and slap him across the face," she fussed.
It seemed like he did enough for her to want to kill him.
"Did you ever feel like he was cheating on you when you were together?" I asked.
"Surprisingly, no, because even though he was a slut, I would have known if he was cheating. A lot of females are not afraid to come up to your face and tell you what your man did to them," she said.
"Wait, so how did you get with him in the first place if there was a lot of competition?" I asked confused.
"I think he always liked me but I was always with someone. I made the first move at a party and I was a little high because a lot of people were smoking in the backyard and I had no choice but to inhale the smoke in the air. I remember he was giving me some weird looks and he was paying no amount of attention to a girl I disliked at school. I took him away from her and made my move from there," she explained as I started laughing.
"It seems like you're the bold one in the relationship," I said.
"You'd be surprised," she said.
"So you feel like Tyrone will ever be able to replace Huey?" I asked.
"Honestly, no, I don't think anybody will ever be able to replace Huey. He has my heart and I surprisingly don't want that to go away," she said.
"Is his love different from the others?" I asked as she nodded.
"He might not be perfect but he's my type of perfect. I'm glad I was able to freely express myself with him. I loved that we could laugh and joke around with each other, I love that we argued, I loved that he would treat me right, and I loved the idea of him being my soulmate," she sadly spoke.
"A lot of guys that are good for me come along but they're too perfect. It's like they're putting up an act for me and not being able to be their true selves. I loved how Huey wasn't afraid to be himself around me. Sometimes it irritated me with some of the things he would do but he wasn't afraid to express it. I'm able to feel other emotions with Huey other than forced happiness or an image of myself I can't even recognize. He just makes me feel complete about myself," she expressed.
"I know every guy wants to make a girl feel complete about themselves but I'm complete when I'm with him. The day he asked me to marry him I felt like my future was set and we could do all things we planned for the future," she smiled.
"Like?" I asked.
"Like have five kids, move around so we could see the world, and at the end when we got done parenting, we could move to Oklahoma when we retired and grow old together," she sadly spoke almost shedding a tear.
"Do you ever think about seeing him?" I asked.
"Yes, all the time, but I don't want to invade his life," she said.
"Jazmine, I don't think you would be invading Huey's life, it seemed like he really wanted to know where you were at when I called him," Ebony disagreed.
"Yeah but he has a girlfriend," Jazmine exclaimed.
"Who cares, she could be a side piece he could careless about. It doesn't hurt to make a call," I surprisingly said.
"Yeah, but I don't want to do it," she said.
"Why?" I asked.
"He's going to try and come and get me, and I don't want to go back home. I love him but I don't think I should be involved in his future. I made sure to put enough money on him to go to college," she said as I looked at her funny.
"Money?" I asked.
"Where did you put all the money you earned from Dr. Anderson?" I asked curiously. I knew the doctor was rich so he had to have given her a lot of money.
"I gave half of it to Huey so he could go to college and move on with his life, and I kept the other half for myself," she said.
"I thought you were poor," I said misguided.
"I was more homeless than poor," she corrected.
"How come you didn't buy a house?" I asked because everybody needs a roof over their heads.
"I didn't buy a house because I had to be very smart with my money and use resources that society has provided. So instead of buying a house and paying rent and bills which burn quickly, I stayed at a women's shelter that is free and wouldn't burn money," she said as I thought about it and she wasn't wrong.
That was smart!
"Also, since Huey and I were kind of married at one point, he could see my bank statements, and I didn't want him or my family tracking where I was at so I made sure to rarely go to the bank to deposit money," she added.
That is also smart!
Jeez, no one thinks of ways to save money and not get caught.
"So what were you going to use the money for on your part?" I asked out of curiosity.
"There were a lot of ways I was going to use the money. I could use it to go to school, pay for my AIDS medication, ultrasound checkups, my hospital bill when the baby was born, invest in my business idea, maintenance, food, clothes, and items for me and the baby," she said.
"Okay, and what did you have to eliminate?" I wondered.
"I immediately eliminated school because I wasn't gonna live long enough to finish school. I thought about starting a business but I would need a place to make the products," she said.
"What was your business idea?" I asked. There are not too many women out there that would start their business idea and try to go through with it.
"I was going to make hair products for all types of hair because I know a lot of people struggle with trying to maintain their hair," she said.
"Okay, that's not a bad idea, but how would you have your product working on all types of hair?" I asked.
"It's a family recipe on my mom's side of the family that we've been using for generations on our hair and other people's hair. It would make your hair grow longer and shiny, and your scalp would stay hydrated. I thought it only worked on my and my family's hair, but it works on other types of hair as well. And I know a lot of people who recover from cancer want their hair back so the product is supposed to assist," she explained.
"Plus I don't like how most hair products now are filled with chemicals that slowly damage our hair. My family had found the trick to making your hair healthy is to use natural items. Almost everybody on my mom's side of the family has healthy hair so the ingredient works," she said.
"What made you realize it worked on other types of hair?" I asked.
"My husband, well, Huey was already looking for ways to grow his hair, and he would use the products from the store but he realized it would damage his hair and make his scalp irritated. So, he decided to make his own product but he put a bunch of chemicals in it and it caused some of his hair to go away. Not a lot, but enough for him to see the difference. I decided to take matters into my own hands and use my family recipe and he had his natural size back in no time, and I would use it on my friends when I did their hair," she explained.
"Oh wow, that's amazing, it makes me want to buy your product," I said smiling.
"Yeah it would work on your hair," she said.
"Is that all you were going to use the money for?" I asked as she nodded.
"Or, I was going to try and get in contact with other doctors so I could find a cure for my AIDS," she said.
"But there are no doctors around here that have the cure for AIDS," I said in disbelief.
"I know there are doctors that have the cure for AIDS," she said.
"Wouldn't Dr. Anderson be the only one to have the cure for AIDS since he got rid of his own AIDS?" I asked confused.
"Yes, but the thing is that he stole it," she stated.
"Stole what?" I asked.
"He stole AIDS from someone else," she said.
"You mean he got AIDS from someone else and then gave it to you?" I asked.
"Yes, but he also stole something else," she stated once again.
"Like, what did he steal?" I asked confused at this point.
"He stole the cure for AIDS from another doctor, along with other cures," she exposed.
"What!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah," she said nodding her head.
"Does he know, you know?" I asked to be sure.
"Yes, he knows, I know because I threatened to expose him," she assured.
"Then why didn't you expose this to the other doctors or the public?" I asked confused.
"I didn't do it because he would expose me and place a bad name on me and my family. Plus, I didn't have any proof that he stole the cures from other doctors," she explained.
"Then if you couldn't expose him, how come the other doctors never exposed him?" I asked.
"Because the doctors are dead, he made sure to get rid of them so they wouldn't ruin his name," she said.
"Like any white man he steals others' ideas and passes it as his own," she said.
"How did you find this out?" I wondered.
"I found out because when he was mad he told me everything and basically exposed himself," she said.
"Oh wow!" I said shocked.
"Yeah, and it's one of the reasons I don't want him taking custody of my baby when he or she is born," she added.
"Makes sense, but Jazmine... I promise you that I will not let Dr. Anderson take your baby away," I seriously spoke.
"No man like that should ever be around an innocent baby. It would be heartbreaking if she or he comes to find out that their own dad killed their mother," I sternly spoke.
"Thank you, Ebony, at least when the baby gets here I'll rest in peace because he or she will have you and Nicole to protect them," she said relieved.
"So not only did the man purposefully affect her with the disease but he also stole it from other doctors and killed them," Ebony exposed.
"Oh my, that's terrible," Huelene said stunned.
"He's probably still doing it since he's getting more popular with his cures," Huey stated.
"Ain't no telling what that man is still doing," Ebony shook her head.
Huey pulled his phone out to text Cairo about another assignment he had for him to do.
He was going to get proof on Dr. Anderson.
