Prologue:

Yoda sighed, "Hope I do, that resolve this, they can."

Mace Windu nodded, "Indeed, I ho…"

Yoda looked at his fellow Council Member in concern, "Master Windu, stopped why have you?"

It was strange, his dark-skinned friend looked like the world had been put on pause in the middle of his sentence. Yoda's eyes widened when he realized that is exactly what had happened from looking at all the others that had been passing them in the corridor. Some people were stuck with their feet suspended in the air in such a way that would ensure that they would fall over if this phenomenon was anything less than a full time stop or something similar.

He watched as a blue portal with green highlights formed underneath him and he fell through. It felt similar to entering hyperspace, but the place he had entered was well… not quite alive with the Force, but deeply connected to it to a degree that he had never felt before.

Yoda looked around himself in confusion, "In a strange place, I am. Why here, am I?"

All around him was a massive room, similar to many out of the way parts of the Temple. It was dark, yet somehow lit enough that he could see where he was going. The multitude of gears on the wall made him think he was inside some sort of ancient machine. He shuffled over to the middle of the room and looked at some of the things in detail. One thing that immediately caught his eye was a small canister in an alcove off to the side that was radiating the dark side.

He wandered over to it and saw that it had dents in it going from the inside out, and one of those was shaped like a face. The amount of darkness radiating from it though was like if someone had decided to turn a part of the world into a black hole and then douse that thing in some sort of blood that wouldn't get sucked in. The evil within was both powerful and totally bent towards the destruction of anything in its path. What was more, he could sense it observing him in curiosity. The being imprisoned within was wondering what exactly he was, and how he could be killed.

He shivered as he turned his back on the sinister container, and saw a sort of flat viewing screen showing a young man that was similar to a human with white hair and glowing green eyes throwing himself against a massive being with a face that almost seemed chiseled from stone. He watched as they flew through the sky at high speeds, launching blasts of green and red energy at one another, rather obviously trying to bring each other down.

"They are putting on quite the spectacle aren't they?"

Yoda whirled around and saw a being in a purple cloak with blue skin and red eyes smiling at him, and the feeling of it in the force was one of unparalleled power that was aligned with neither the light or the dark, "Who…?"

The being bowed, "Greetings to you Grandmaster Yoda of the Jedi Order." The being changed into in old man form, "I am Clockwork, Master of Time."

Yoda realized that this was most definitely not a being he was willing to pick a fight against, "Know who I am, do you?"

Clockwork chuckled as he turned into a small child form, "I know everything there is to know about you, but I did not bring you here to discuss who you are."

Yoda motioned to the screen, "Bring me here you did. Talking about this is the reason, yes?"

Clockwork nodded as he shifted to his young man form, "Indeed, this fight you are watching will have ramifications in your own universe. The young man and his close friends and family that are still alive will end up in your world very soon, as well as his greatest enemy."

Yoda scratched his head, "Cause this, why have you?"

Clockwork sighed sadly as he shifted to his old man form, "In simple terms, I haven't, and yet at the same time, I have. As the being that presides over time it is very difficult to say what has and has not been caused by me directly or indirectly. The simple fact of the matter is that a courageous young man is about to lose most of his world, and I am asking you to take him in. He will be of great help to you and your order if you allow him to be."

Yoda raised an eyebrow, "Too old he i…"

Clockwork took his finger off of Yoda's forehead and switched to his young form, "Special Exceptions Clause 12 in the Ruusan Reformation Act under the Jedi Order Guidelines would seem to apply based on all I just showed you."

Yoda blinked and rubbed his head, "Hrmmm… Seem so, it would. Yes, worthy of being a Master is he."

Clockwork smiled, "Also, do not disclose to him how it was you obtained this knowledge. It is for the best if he integrates himself and his friends into the new world."

Yoda nodded, "Yes… What of…?"

"…pe so as well… Master Yoda, is everything all right?"

Yoda was amazed at how seamlessly he had been transitioned back into the Jedi Temple, "Yes. Alright, everything is. Just a vision, I had."

Mace Windu gave him a look, "Is it anything we need to be concerned about?"

Yoda thought about it for a second and then shook his head, "Need to know, you do not, until right the time is."

Mace Windu raised an eyebrow at him, "And when will that be, may I ask?"

Yoda grinned, "Soon enough. Soon enough."
