Previously, on Soulmates:
Lector shook his head as we stepped into the shadow of a large building. He looked up and smiled, "We're here! See Frosch, we didn't get lost! Do you think Sting and Rogue are back?"
Frosch hopped out of my arms and landed on the ground, and Lector followed suit. I looked towards LeeAnna and smiled slightly at her as I whispered, "Least we'll have time to prepare ourselves. I'm totally getting a new outfit."
"Me too. I don't think a letter sweater is going to cut it here."
"You just want to look good for you know who!"
"So do you!" I gave up as LeeAnna looked towards the two Exceeds, who were looking at us. She quickly spoke to them, "We'll be inside shortly, alright? My dear sister and I need to talk."
Lector nodded at us, "Alright!" Lector waved at us as he tried to open the door. Unfortunately, the cat couldn't open it, despite its best effort.
LeeAnna shrugged and sighed, "So much for preparation." She then handed me the flowers and cracked her knuckles as she approached the door, "Here, I'll help you out!" Just with her effort alone, the doors opened!
Frosch and I both gasped as the doors opened. Frosch jumped up and grabbed my hand, and started to run into the guild hall, myself tumbling alongside him. I turned to LeeAnna and mouthed out, "Recruitment time face!"
I managed to stumble into the guild hall, Frosch leading me in. The little Exceed shouted out, "Rogue! Fro is back safe and sound thanks to kind Dragon Slayers!"
"There's more Dragon Slayers than Rogue and I?" I looked around and saw a blonde-haired man approach me. Oh, I was dead meat now to LeeAnna. I met her crush before she did.
I quickly let go of Frosch's hand and stood up to my full height...and Sting Eucliffe still towered over me. I hated being short, but I had to speak up, "Yes, and my sister and I would like to join your guild."
"Is that so? First, you'll both have to pass a little test." He smirked at me, "I'm sure it won't be hard for the two of you-"
Lector came running in at that moment, and cried out, "Sting! I found two more Dragon Slayers! They saved Frosch from thieves!" LeeAnna was right behind him, shaking her head. She was trying to keep the cat quiet, but it didn't work.
When I looked back at where Sting and Frosch were, I noticed that the frog was nowhere to be seen! I looked back at LeeAnna and she pointed in front of me, smirking. I turned my head around and saw the cutest sight! Frosch was in Rogue's arms, and the two seemed happy to be reunited!
Yet, Rogue was still looking at LeeAnna and me. Did we just mess up our chance of getting some help? However, our savior came in the form of a little red cat running its mouth.
Lector jumped to get Sting's attention and cried out, "One has darkness, while the other has light! They roared those thieves into fleeing! It was great!"
Rogue quietly spoke out, "Is this true?"
LeeAnna nodded back, glancing at both men, "Yes. Myself and my sister couldn't help but step in when we saw Frosch in trouble."
Sting nodded at us, "And who are you?"
LeeAnna approached me and put her hand on my shoulder, "I'm LeeAnna Winchester, and this is Shannon Singer. We both wish to join Sabertooth, and since we saved your fellow members, we have already passed a test."
"Fair enough. Master Jiemma is at a guild master's meeting, so you two will get in as payment for saving these two." Sting then walked over to a throne like structure and grabbed a stamp.
I turned towards LeeAnna and smiled softly at her, giving her a thumbs up. At least we're partially there to getting back home! He approached us and nodded, "Where would you like your mark at?
LeeAnna looked at me, while I looked at her. Neither of us had thought this far ahead. She put her thumb in the crook of her neck and measured the finger lengths down. I quickly took the stamp away from Sting and smiled at her as I whispered, "Where our badges are, right?"
She pulled down her shirt a bit and I stamped her. This was the proudest moment for this Little right here! I removed the stamp and saw a black mark in the shape of Sabertooth's logo! Before I could realize it, LeeAnna took the stamp from me and smiled, "Who would have thought our first tattoos would have been together?" I put my hand in the crook of my neck, just like she did, and she placed the stamp right where my pinky ended.
I felt a warm sensation as the stamp was placed on me, and couldn't help but smile. She took it away, and as I fixed my shirt, I saw a bright white Sabertooth emblem on me. I was officially marked by a guild. Well, time for us to jump into the unknown!
A/N: Hello Everyone! Thank you so much for reading this story of mine! I apologize for the strange spacing of chapters, but initially, these past few chapters were all one large chapter! I'll make sure to do a better job of that next time! Also, Sting and Rogue may be OOC, just as a heads up! Enjoy the rest of the story, and please let me know if you want something to happen to LeeAnna, Shannon, and the gang at Sabertooth!
