On the doomed planet of Krypton, a lone spaceship was prepared for Kara Zor-El, the cousin of Earth's most destructive hero. "Your pod's coordinates are interlocked with that of Kal-El," her father said.

"I don't understand a word you're telling me," Kara said confused.

"Just follow Kal-El to Earth," her father said impatiently.

"The trip is long, but you'll sleep most of the way. We will both be with you in your dreams," her mother told her.

"Wait, you're not going with me?" Kara asked surprised.

"We've been over this a thousand times, Kara," her mother said frustrated. "Look after your baby cousin Kal-El. You will have great powers on this planet."

"So, I have to be a babysitter for Kal-El. That sucks!" Kara said obnoxiously.

"I love you, Kara. Now, you must go," her mother said urgently as the planet was about to explode.

"Where am I going?" Kara wondered.

"Just get your ass in that pod," her father said losing patience.

"Fine," Kara said as she got in the pod.

The pod lifted off the planet just as its surface was exploding. "I'm more worried for her than Kal-El," her mother said.

"That's why I changed the calculation, so she would arrive later than him," her father rolled his eyes.

The planet Krypton then exploded leaving behind a baby brat and a dumb blond as its legacy.

2004-Midvale

A Kryptonian ship with a crystal outer shell entered Earth's atmosphere and went straight for Metropolis at a speed that would have annihilated the entire city. Superman flew up to meet the ship and tried to slow it down as it approached. As he did, radioactive Kryptonite on the ship's hull weakened him. Realizing he was losing strength, Superman punched the pod away from the city.

The Earth's atmosphere and Superman's punch started to break off pieces of the ship's hull creating a trail of meteorite fragments across New England and in particular the state of Maine. The outer protective casing of the ship was ripped off creating a meteor shower of deadly debris that pounded the town of Midvale.

Superman quickly recovered and went after the Kryptonian pod as it hit the ground hard creating a crater in a cornfield. Landing near the ship, he saw a Kryptonian ship the size of a car with its outer hull stripped off giving it a smooth surface. Cautiously approaching the ship, he saw a young Kara sleeping peacefully inside the ship. There was a Kryptonian "S" symbol on the pod.

Concerned for her well-being, Superman removed the protective hatch. Kara then woke up and stared at Superman. "Statistically speaking, flying is still the safest way to travel," he told her.

"Seriously?" Kara replied.

"Since you landed on American soil that makes you an American!" Superman said.

"Great. What's an American?" Kara wondered.

"Stay here. I'm going to get some help," Superman said warmly and flew off.

Kara got out of the pod and looked over the new planet. She began to hear screams and shouting in the distance as her ship had caused mass casualties in Midvale. She looked at her hand and saw her bones and tissues as if they were translucent. Kara then stared at the cornfield around her and burned it all down with her heat vision. She blew it out with frost breath before it consumed the entire field. She then floated above the ground amused. Looking back at her pod, she lifted it off the ground with one hand and then gently put it back down. Within a few minutes, she had perfect control over her powers.

"Nice," Kara said amused with herself.

Superman then came back with a truck and trailer behind him. Jeremiah and Eliza Danvers got out of the truck and found the pod but Kara was already gone.

"Shoot," Superman realized looking around.

"Put the pod in my truck. You can then look for the girl," Jeremiah suggested.

"Right," Superman agreed and then picked up the heavy ship putting it on the trailer and then covering it with a tarp.

"You think your truck can handle it?" Superman asked Jeremiah.

"It's not like it's a Ford," Jeremiah told him and drove off in his Dodge Ram.

Superman then flew off to go find Kara finding her running quickly through the fields. Superman landed in front of her startling her. Kara instinctively punched him hard. Superman shot backward as fast as a bullet blasting apart two concrete farm silos on impact, through a 7/11 convenience store, and into gasoline fuelers with enough force to ignite the fuel. The explosion tossed cars and completely destroyed the gas station. Superman was on the pavement stunned unable to comprehend how that little girl could punch him so hard.

In the field, Kara waited patiently for Superman to come back. "Sorry, you startled me," Kara apologize to him. "Who are you?"

"I go by Superman here on Earth but my Kryptonian name is Kal-El," he revealed.

Kara simply stared at the grown man. She saw her family crest on his uniform. Realizing the truth, she began to cry. "What's wrong?" Superman asked her.

"I was supposed to be your guardian. I was sent to protect you as a baby. Now, you're older than me," Kara realized sadly.

Superman gave her a sympathetic look. "I'll be looking after you from now on," he told her.

"I'll be living with you?" Kara wondered.

"Metropolis isn't a place for someone...like you," Superman said looking at the destruction she had just caused. "I know some good people that can take you. You can find a new purpose and a new life here on Earth."

"Okay," Kara agreed.

"Follow me," Superman said and the rest is history.

2007-Midvale

Kara entered the basement and found her ship acting up again. It was glowing and vibrating intensely. Kara gave the ship an annoyed look. It had been causing her all sorts of trouble for the last several months. "So...how can I help you?" Kara asked the ship in Kryptonian.

"Kara Zor-El, I am the computer simulation that is your father, Zor-El. I am his memory, his will," the ship said to her.

"Great, so you can remind me how disappointed you are in me all over again," Kara frowned.

"I am to fulfill his promise and guide you all the days of your life. You are the last daughter of Krypton. When you traveled the cosmos, you carried with you the hopes and dreams of your people. They now live within you, Kara," Zor-El said to her.

"I guess I win by default," Kara said bitterly.

"It is time," Zor-El said vaguely.

"Time to conquer this world? It's about time. Time for Kara to rule!" Kara said enthusiastically.

"You have now reached maturity and are now ready to have offspring in order to begin again our race," Zor-El said.

"Excuse me?" Kara thought she misheard.

"It is your destiny, Kara. You will create a new Kryptonian colony on this world and in time create a new civilization. You will be the mother of New Krypton," Zor-El said.

"Yeah? With whom?" Kara asked not taking him seriously.

"With Kal-El, of course," Zor-El replied.

"You've got to be shitting me. I'm not into that incest nonsense," Kara objected.

"Do not fear, Kara. Within the cells of Kal-El is the codex. He has within himself the DNA strands of millions of Kryptonians giving you the genetic diversity you need to restart our race," Zor-El said to her.

Kara couldn't refute his logic but wasn't inclined to follow it. "Wait, I thought I was mentally unstable. Isn't that what you called me? Why the fuck would you want that unstable element in a new colony?"

"The unstable element you are referring to will dissipate over a few generations. I wish I didn't have to put this burden on you, Kara. But there is no other choice," Zor-El said.

Kara then eyed the holograms of Eliza, Alex, and Lex behind her. "Your thoughts are not a mystery to me, Kara. But these people have served their purpose. It is time to leave them," Zor-El said to her.

Kara saw the holograms fade from her. "You must let go of your past. I will guide you to your future," Zor-El said.

"Yeah, fuck that. I don't need your guidance. I'm creating my own future," Kara insisted.

"You have no choice, Kara," Zor-El replied.

"Oh really?" Kara scoffed.

The ship then glowed intensely before shutting off leaving Kara in the dark. "That was...weird as fuck," Kara muttered as she went back up the stairs.

The next morning, Kara was outside on the porch. Eliza came out and noticed her. "You're up early for a change."

"The ship activated a voice computer simulation of my father. It gave me instructions," Kara said.

"What kind of instructions?" Eliza asked worriedly.

"To basically be a Kryptonian baby factory and create a new colony on Earth," Kara said.

"That's impossible. You can't get pregnant by humans," Eliza said.

"There is...one other Kryptonian on this planet," Kara reminded her.

"You can't be serious," Eliza said stunned.

"If neither of us has children, the Kryptonian race ends," Kara said reflectively.

"Maybe...it is time for your race to end...like the dinosaurs," Eliza suggested.

"Thanks," Kara sighed.

"Well, I don't know what to say, Kara. It's up to you. On one hand, Superman goes around the world helping people. On the other hand, you have those like Zod that nearly destroyed the world. Then there's you, a girl that sits on the couch watching TV and eating Cheetos all day," Eliza said.

Kara chuckled at that. "You just turned eighteen. You don't have to worry about this for a while," Eliza assured her.

"Alright," Kara agreed. "Destiny can wait."

2012-Metropolis

Kara watched slightly disturbed as Alex got sloshed in short order and began making out with random guys. "What will you have, Miss?" the bartender asked Kara.

"Vodka martini, shaken, not stirred," Kara ordered.

The guys encouraged Alex and some other girl to kiss in front of them. They were more than willing to oblige but Alex felt a painful sensation from the "persuader" powers keeping her from doing so. She proceeded to throw up in the women's restroom. Kara ignored Alex and drank her martini. "I like you, Loyd. I always liked you. You were always the best God damn bartender from here to Portland, Maine," Kara complimented.

"Thank you for saying so," Loyd smiled.

"Here's to three years of college and all the irreparable harm it has caused me," Kara said bitterly.

"How are things going, Miss Danvers?" Loyd asked conversationally.

"Things could be better, Loyd. Things could be a hell of a lot better," Kara admitted.

"I hope it's not something serious," Loyd said sympathetically.

"Nah, nothing serious. Just a little problem with the sister. Nothing I can't handle, Loyd," Kara said as Alex came out of the restroom and continued to drink more cheap beers.

"Sisters," Loyd shook his head. "Can't live with them, can't live without them."

"Words of wisdom, Loyd," Kara agreed. "Don't get me wrong. I love the bitch and I would do anything for her, any fucking thing for her. But as long as I live, she won't let me forget what happened in Midvale."

Kara paused as she took another sip of her drink. "Okay, I did kill people but they were accidents, completely unintentional. Could have happened to anybody," Kara lied. "And it was three God damn years ago," Kara pointed out.

"I completely understand," Loyd said having gotten used to her insane rants.

Kara nodded appreciating her bartender's loyalty and discretion. She turned back to Alex who was about to join a gang bang at someone's frat house. "Okay, I have to deal with this bullshit."

Kara grabbed Alex and forced her out of the bar. "What the fuck, Kara?" Alex asked outraged.

"Time to go home," Kara told her.

"I'm perfectly fine to drive and have consensual sex," she told Kara barely able to stand.

"Of course you are," Kara mocked.

"Fuck you and your Kryptonian DNA. You can drink as much as you like and get sober in seconds. I hate you and all your ridiculous powers," Alex spat.

"I know you do," Kara rolled her eyes.

"This is all your fucking fault," Alex accused.

"Say what?" Kara thought she misheard.

"All the things that happened in Midvale. I get nightmares all the time. The only way I can sleep is to drink," Alex told her. "My God, Kara, I've killed a few people."

"In self-defense," Kara recalled.

"It doesn't matter. I still see them in my classes, in the crowds, and even in the bars. I feel haunted by all the people we killed," Alex admitted.

"Alcohol isn't going to make it better. How about you take some time off to unfuck yourself, talk to a shrink, take some pills," Kara suggested.

"No, fuck you. You did all you could to graduate faster than me despite my headstart. You wanted to embarrass me so I started taking twenty credits a semester and labs. You never had to do one God damn lab like I had to," Alex accused.

"I wanted to graduate with you. That's all," Kara downplayed.

"I'm not going to slow down. I'm going to go to Standford, become a medical researcher, and cure cancer. I'm going to be the fucking hero of this story," Alex told her.

"It's not a competition. Because...if it were...," Kara trailed off.

"You...and your smart mouth. When I go to Stanford, I will finally be free of you. And you better not try to follow me there," Alex said angrily.

2013-Metropolis

Kara walked the streets of Metropolis looking at classified ads. She didn't particularly care if she ran into anyone and didn't bother to look when she crossed the street. She hesitated upon hearing of a car crash. She always felt an orgasmic thrill upon witnessing them. Kara waited for the cars to impact and then nothing. "The fuck?" she wondered.

Crowds of people rushed over to the scene of the accident. "Did you see that shit!" one onlooker asked Kara as he ran past her.

"See what?" Kara rolled her eyes.

"Superman just saved a kid from getting killed by a car. He then flew up into the sky like a bird or a plane. Isn't it so amazing!" a woman said to Kara.

"Was he wearing his underwear over his tights?" Kara mocked.

"Yea, yea, yea," the woman confirmed.

"He's not that awesome," Kara said snidely and continued walking in the other direction.

Kara exited the elevator and entered the Catco office for the first time. While looking around, she ran into Winn. "I'm sorry," he said lamely and then stared at Kara.

"Oops," Kara said as she went past him.

"That's okay. My name is Winn Schott...Junior," he said awkwardly. "And who are you?"

"Kara Danvers," Kara replied politely.

"Nice handshake you got there," Winn said as his hand was nearly crushed.

"I know, right?" Kara smirked.

"Do you work out?" Winn wondered.

"Never," Kara smiled.

"So, what are you here for?" Winn asked curiously.

"An interview with Ms. Grant to be her new assistant," Kara said as a weeping woman ran out of the office.

"Next!" Cat yelled.

"Good luck," Winn said.

"I don't really give a shit if I land the job. The state of New York requires that I do interviews to keep my unemployment payments going. The trick is applying for jobs you can never get," Kara smirked.

"Wow, well, that's clever," Winn said.

"I know," Kara said walking past him into Cat's office. "Hi, Ms. Grant," Kara said cheerfully hoping to get kicked out within five seconds.

"I told them not to send any more millennials," Cat said displeased.

"Counting my thirty-year coma, I'm actually in my fifties," Kara said brightly.

"You're a funny one. You must have high self-esteem to think you can come in here and joke with me," Cat said annoyed. "You think you're special," Cat added.

"Well, I kind of am," Kara said knowingly.

"You all have opinions and think you deserve to be heard and yet the truth is that you need to earn the right to have an opinion in the first place," Cat lectured.

"Twitter would say otherwise," Kara said skeptically.

"So, my 10:15, why are you so special?" Cat asked.

"I'm a Kryptonian, the same kind of alien as Superman. I'm his cousin," Kara said nonchalantly.

"You fucking with me?" Cat asked.

"No, like, I know that you have pharmacy pills under your papers. I know your pen is out of ink. I know your face is full of plastic," Kara said boldly.

"Oh really? Turn this into a ball," Cat said of her pen box made of metal.

Kara took the box and crushed it into a ball. "Satisfied?" Kara asked.

"And why should someone like you come to me?" Cat asked slightly spooked.

"To be honest, I didn't expect to get this far. I have to do all of these interviews to continue my unemployment insurance. My next interview is with the Daily Planet," Kara said smirking.

"What experience do you have being a special assistant?" Cat asked.

"Zip," Kara replied.

"So, you think you can bargain for this job because of who you are?" Cat asked.

"Yep," Kara agreed.

"You will provide me insights on alien activity on the planet, natural disasters, celebrity gossip, and whatever I want to know. You will use your powers in the service to Catco. You will never reveal your identity to my competition. You will be mine and mine alone," Cat told her.

"Yeah, sure," Kara said not taking her seriously.

"My own superhero," Cat realized.

"I don't know about the hero part," Kara objected and then became memorized with the forest fire on the TV screen behind Cat.

"Something caught your interest?" Cat asked sarcastically.

"Yeah, so much death and destruction," Kara said intrigued.

"You start today," Cat ordered.

"Yeah, if you could just sign this form saying I was here that would be great," Kara said taking out a form.

"No, if you don't take this job, I will call up the New York state unemployment office and tell them you refused a job I so generously bequeathed to you," Cat threatened.

"Who the fuck do you think you are?" Kara asked standing up to Cat.

"Either your boss or a glorious media martyr. There will be no in between, so kill me or do your job," Cat said to her.

"You got balls, lady," Kara complimented.

"Balls of steel," Cat confirmed.

2015-Season 1

After a few months of solid reporting involving a wall full of pictures, dozens of interviews, pictures, and forensic evidence, Lois and Clark were about to break the story on the identity of a masked neo-Nazi supervillain that was terrorizing minorities. At the same time, Cat brought up the issue in casual conversation.

"Now that you're Supergirl, take this guy out, publicly," Cat ordered.

"I have better things to do with my free time like watch Seinfeld reruns in the comfort of my own apartment while eating crullers. This is small fry," Kara said dismissively. "I kill ugly alien mother-fuckers these days."

"Far-right extremist terrorism is not small fry," Cat told her.

"What does that even mean? Like, why isn't far-left extremist terrorism being reported on?" Kara argued.

"Because there's no such thing," Cat said.

"I beg to differ. Every time a cop gets killed by a criminal, that's left-wing," Kara pointed out.

"I don't have time for your bullshit. This is pretty damn black-and-white," Cat said.

"Alright, let me hack into the Daily Planet and see what they got," Kara said and then worked on her laptop. "And I've got all of their files on it. The target is Henry Miller."

"So, what are you waiting for? Take him out, do your stuff," Cat ordered.

In the slums of Metropolis, Henry Miller was pissed off wearing a helmet, flame thrower, and body armor with the SS lightning bolt symbol on his chest so everyone knew he was a total racist asshole. Supergirl slammed onto the ground, breaking the pavement. "These people stole my neighborhood," Henry said to her. "Why am I the bad guy? I'm the fucking hero."

"Preaching to the choir," Kara nodded.

"Wait...what?" Henry wondered.

"Keep going, I believe in you," Kara mocked.

"Oh, you're just fucking with me, aren't you, bitch?" Henry figured it out.

"Damn, you got me," Kara rolled her eyes.

Henry blasted her with fire from his flame thrower. Kara breathed frost on him ending the flames and freezing his gun. Henry then put his hands behind his head in surrender. Kara used her X-ray vision to see through his helmet, his skull, his brain, the other side of his skull, the other side of his helmet, and then two grenades in his hands. As he appeared to be surrendering to her, Kara incinerated him with heat vision.

"Who's the hero now?" Kara asked rhetorically to the horrified crowd. Kara looked around as everyone gawked at her in fear. For all they knew, she just executed someone that was surrendering to her. "It's not how it looks. He had grenades in his hands. You know what...fuck it," Kara said and then flew off into the air.

"Kara! My office!" Cat shouted as Kara came in.

Kara sighed and entered her boss's office. She waited for the doors to close. "I want an exclusive with Supergirl."

"Why is it Supergirl? I'm in my twenties. Technically, I'm older than Superman. This is sexist," Kara protested.

"No one gives a shit. You could pass for a girl scout," Cat pointed out. "I want pictures. I want video," Cat demanded.

"With or without clothes?" Kara asked sarcastically.

"Don't get smart with me," Cat threatened. "I want you to tell me everything you can about yourself and you are to tell no one else."

"I want a raise," Kara said flatly.

"No," Cat replied.

At the Catco studio, Cat interviewed Supergirl in a taped interview. "Welcome, this is Catco. I'm your host, Cat Grant. With me, for her first on-camera interview, is Supergirl. So, Supergirl, I appreciate you agreeing to be here."

"Thanks for having me," Kara said smugly.

"The world has been captivated by you since your first appearance saving that jetliner in the bay. How long have you been on Earth before then?" Cat asked.

Kara counted on her fingers. "Since 2004," Kara replied after giving up. "When Krypton was destroyed, my pod took a little longer to arrive on Earth."

"Where exactly on Earth?" Cat pressed.

"With all due respect, I don't think that's any of your business," Kara said snarkily.

"The assumption is that it was somewhere in the US," Cat said.

"Why? Because I speak English? I could be Canadian from Vancouver for all you know," Kara said snidely. "Check this shit out: The cake is a lie," Kara said in Chinese.

"Is speaking different languages a superpower?" Cat asked.

"No, I'm just really intelligent. I know all the human languages," Kara lied.

"What do you stand for?" Cat asked.

"Truth, justice, and the American Way," Kara replied.

"So, you were raised in the US?" Cat pressed.

"You don't have to be raised in America to know the American Way is the only way," Kara said argumentatively.

"As I recall, there was a suspicious meteor shower in the New England area ten years ago. Just admit that this was your pod," Cat forced the issue.

"No, go fuck yourself," Kara refused.

"Cut," Cat ordered her cameraman.

"What the fuck is this?" Kara asked displeased.

"I have a reputation to keep as a hard-hitting reporter. I can't give you favorable treatment," Cat said obviously. "Don't worry about it. Stop scowling. After we edit the shit out of this, we'll both look great."

"I apologize. I'm being completely unprofessional," Kara said with false sincerity.

"In the next take, I'm not going to go easy on you," Cat threatened.

"I actually prefer it when it's hard," Kara mocked.

2016-Season 2

Kara wore an old-fashioned dress and hairstyle as she heated up a turkey with her heat vision. "I will never get tired of watching you do that," Eliza said amazed.

The rest of the gang was on the couch watching the Steelers' game. There was a knock on the door. Eliza opened the door to see Mon with large cases of beer in both arms. He was wearing an Amish-looking suit and hat.

"Why do both of you look Amish?" Eliza asked.

"I decided to give Mon a tour of their society," Kara said.

"I told them that if they use their Ki they don't need electricity," Mon said helpfully.

"But why?" Eliza wondered.

"Kara, stop fucking with the Amish...again," Alex scolded.

"Alex: language," Eliza scolded her. "So, you're the Insane friend Kara has told me all about."

"I would say more than just friends," Mon smirked.

"Mon, shut up," Kara hissed.

"I mean, we're comrades in the fight against the forces of evil," Mon clarified.

"This is my adopted mother, Eliza Danvers," Kara introduced to him.

"I hear you're a scientist. That is quite an accomplishment for a woman," Mon complimented. "Can you tell me more about this science?"

Alex went over to Kara as Eliza and Mon hit it off. "I think Mon's hitting on my mom," Alex said concernedly.

"Well, she is a MILF," Kara allowed.

"Kara, how can you talk about my mom like that?" Alex asked shocked.

"Oh, if you thought that was bad, you should hear what I say about your dad," Kara smiled reflectively. "Speaking of which, you going to let him out anytime soon?" Kara asked.

"He's still raving like a lunatic about the End Times and some alien invasion," Alex shook her head sadly.

Kara then walked over to Eliza. "You and Mon seem to be hitting it off."

"Oh, he's just doing that to get in your pants," Eliza scoffed.

"That is the way to do it," Kara nodded.

"He likes you," Eliza detected.

"Like is a strong word," Kara denied.

3017

The Metropolis Cathedral was packed with future humans and curious aliens that had never seen an Insane-Kryptonian wedding before. Kara was in a white dress with a long train while Mon was in shiny Insane armor. The presiding minister was Pope Barney. The rings were blessed by Brainiac 5 and Kara and Mon exchanged their rings on their fingers three times to signify the weakness of one will be compensated by the other.

Kara and Mon then held a lit candle in their left hands while holding hands with their right. Brainiac 5 then placed crowns on both their heads only to swap them between them three times to indicate their interchangeable nature. Kara and Mon then took three sips from the same wine chalice signifying that they would share in each other's glories and divide their suffering.

"The crowns you wear are crowns of martyrdom. Kara Zor-El, you relinquish your life in the service of your husband. Mon-El, you relinquish your life in the service of your wife. You are no longer two but one. What God has brought together, let no man separate," Brainiac 5 declared.

"Do you accept this teaching of the church?" Brainiac 5 asked them.

Kara and Mon gave each other looks. "I do," they both said together.

At the Fortress of Solitude, Kara addressed a hologram of Alura. "I wish I could have seen the look on your face," Kara smirked at her after she had told her all about the wedding.

"Get out of here now!" Alura shouted at her.

"God damn. I knew this would piss you off but...damn," Kara said taken aback.

2020-Season 5

On the Leviathan ship, Brainiac 5 looked for Mon and found a sudden radiation spike at Chernobyl. "He's there," he said to Kara.

"Take us there," Kara ordered.

"I'm getting a transmission," Brainiac 5 said and then activated the hologram. The two saw Mon sitting on the floor looking burned and sickly.

"He's suffering from acute radiation sickness. I doubt he can use his instant transmission in that condition," Brainiac 5 said.

"Go to him now," Kara said urgently.

"Kara, he's dead, already," Brainiac 5 said somberly.

Kara gave him a look of disbelief and then focused on Mon's hologram. "Mon!" she shouted at him.

Mon suddenly became alert, stood up, and faced her. "Planet...out of danger?" he asked weakly.

"Yes," Kara answered.

"Don't grieve, Kara. It's the Insane way...for a man to protect and sacrifice for his family, to slay the enemy," Mon said to her. "What did you think of my solution?" he asked showing the liquid remains of Captain Planet.

"Not bad," Kara said softly.

Mon then fell to a knee as he weakened. "I am and always shall be your prince. Live long and gloriously, Kara. Don't reset the timeline, don't risk the multiverse for me. I will not deny...your victory over the Anti-Monitor," he said as he was about to pass out.

"Mon! I'm with child, your child! I never told you...because I was scared I would fail. I was scared my body wouldn't take and what you would think of me if it did. I was scared to tell you...because it was a girl and I know you would have wanted a boy," Kara said tearfully.

Mon gave her a blank look, his eyes already blinded. "Dig deep and come back to me, Mon. Your unborn daughter needs you. I need you!" Kara shouted at him.

"These last several years...I have witnessed great strength in the female members of my family. My mother had it, you have it, and Mara has it. Our daughter will have that same strength," Mon said to her.

Kara looked upon him with amazement not expecting this reaction from him. "Mon...I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. Please forgive me," Kara sobbed in front of the hologram emitter.

"Apology...accepted, Kara," Mon said and then took a green bean from his belt.

Kara simply stared as he ate the bean restoring his health to normal. He then instantly transported away. The transmission then abruptly ended. Kara stared off into space as she struggled to focus her emotions. She wiped away her tears and looked at Brainiac 5.

"Well played, assholes," she glared at him.

Brainiac 5 smiled at her. "It would behoove you next time to share critical information with all Vindicator members including your husband."

"You bastard!" Kara spat.

"Calm yourself down, Kara. We still have work to do," Brainiac 5 said to her.

Kara did just that and realized she had been played the same way she had played so many others before. "How does it feel?" Brainiac 5 asked her.

"It feels...good. It feels like someone cared enough to fuck with me. I feel loved," Kara smiled.

2020-Season 5.5

Finally, Kara gave birth to her daughter named Kameron. Unlike Kon and Mara, her hair was blond and her eyes blue like her mother. Brainiac 5 analyzed the crying baby. "Her power level is already Super Insane as if it were her base form," he said surprised.

"I'll be damned," Mon said enviously.

"She must have taken considerable power from Kara in the womb," Brainiac 5 theorized.

Kameron suddenly unleashed heat vision into the ceiling that went through the roof and into the air. Mon quickly placed his hand over her eyes. He hissed in pain as the heat vision burned his hand. The baby frailed her arms about firing fireballs into the room creating a fire.

"Fascinating," Brainiac 5 said and then placed a Kryptonite wristband on Kameron's wrist powering her down.

The flames in the room were suddenly put out by Kara's frost breath; she was already out of bed. She centered herself, healing herself and evaporating her pregnancy bump. She looked at her flat stomach pleased. "What is the risk of long-term Kryptonite exposure?" she asked.

"Possibly radiation poisoning and cancer," Brainiac 5 said grimly. "However, the alternative is the complete destruction of everything around her."

"Perhaps we can drain the power out of her," Mon suggested.

"Lillian Luthor designed a prototype helmet that can absorb heat vision beams. I can improve on the model by placing the infant in a special cell," Brainiac 5 offered.

As Mon and Brainiac 5 discussed the situation further, Kara walked away from the baby and exited the room. "This isn't real," she realized.

"Nothing can be more real than being a mother again," Morgan Edge said to her in his Kryptonian outfit.

"Did you find it amusing to see me in pain?" Kara asked knowingly.

"Yes, yes I did. Kameron-El, the daughter of Supergirl and Mon-El," Morgan said of her as she lay in a protective case.

"You mess with my baby, I'll skin you alive," Kara threatened.

"Oh, Kara, I would never threaten a newborn. Now, teenage twins. That's a different matter entirely," Morgan said menacingly.

"They can handle themselves," Kara said confidently.

Present Day

Kara woke up with a metal headband on her forehead in the Fortress of Solitude. "The fuck is this?" she wondered looking at it.

"It's good you're awake, Kara Zor-El. Now, we can discuss the terms of your surrender," Morgan said to her.

"You're fucking high if you think I'll surrender to you," Kara said dismissively.

"This device was created by one of Krypton's scientists. It allows one to navigate the memories of another," Morgan revealed.

"Well played, asshole," Kara said genuinely impressed.

"I followed you here, waited for you to sleep, and then went through your precious memories," Morgan said.

"For what reason? To find out how completely fucked you are?" Kara asked.

"No, to understand you, Kara. To understand what possible reason you may have to betray your heritage. First, you belittle and undermine your cousin, Kal-El. Then, you betray and murder your fellow Kryptonians. You married a sworn enemy of Krypton, an Insane. You then went to Argo where you oppressed your own people making yourself a queen. In all the years you have been on Earth, your mother has never visited you. You have made a complete mockery of the House of El in every way possible," Morgan accused.

"You know nothing of how I feel about my own people," Kara glared.

"Instead of being a true daughter of Krypton, you remain the village reject," Morgan said.

"You're not Kryptonian. You're just a metahuman that's being controlled by an AI," Kara accused.

"You are the greatest power in the universe and you choose to be less, a gossip writer and a tool for shady government organizations," Morgan said to her.

"Whatever it is you want, threatening me and my family isn't going to help you get it," Kara told him off.

"I'll expose your secret to the world," Morgan threatened.

"Do I look like I give a shit?" Kara asked with a perfect poker face.

"You have friends and family that are not super," Morgan pointed out. "You have betrayed your Kryptonian heritage and destroyed everything I have built."

"He's not wrong," Alura-the-hologram interjected.

"Stay out of this," Kara pointed at her.

"Your Insane prince has corrupted you," Morgan said to her.

"He's done far worse than that," Kara smirked.

"Join me, of your own free will," Morgan beseeched her.

"You're going to have to wait a thousand years from now," Kara told him.

"Then, I will make you suffer," Morgan promised.

"It's not like this is my house," Kara said unconcernedly.

Morgan grabbed a hold of Kara and the fight was on as they slammed into the walls of the fortress. The fortress then glowed green as Morgan activated the Kryptonite controls. Kara became weaker than Morgan as a result and was slammed repeatedly to the floor where she was knocked out cold. "You disappointed me, Kara Zor-El," Morgan said as he walked off.

Smallville

Mon, Kon, and Mara hung out with the Cushing family. "My head is pounding worse than ten whiskey chasers," Kyle complained.

"Have a beer," Mon said handing him one.

"It should go away in a day or two," Lana said to him.

"So, what happened?" Kyle asked confused.

"We think a Kryptonian AI infected your minds and gave you powers using Morgan Edge as a conduit," Mon said.

"That's really fucked up," Kyle remarked.

"The people of this town are going to want answers," Lana said.

"Well, that's too bad," Mon shrugged.

"Yeah, well, they're going to be blaming me for sure," Kyle said bitterly.

"You didn't even get to fight," Mon said sympathetically.

"It's just my stubborn head of mine refused to listen when everyone said Morgan Edge was up to no good," Kyle said.

"Speaking of which, does anyone know where he went?" Lana asked.

"No idea," Mon said obliviously.

In another room, Kon, Mara, and Sara talked about the situation. "It's like a war zone with all the soldiers patrolling about the town," Sara remarked.

"You should see a real war zone," Kon smirked.

"General Lane said the troops will be leaving soon," Mara assured her.

"My dad's an asshole but that was just weird," Sara said.

"It was definitely queer," Kon agreed.

"I just expected the worst about him but it wasn't all his fault," Sara said.

"Parents don't always tell the truth," Kon said knowingly.

"It's probably the same way they feel about us. I mean, kids lie to their parents all the time. Families lying to each other is pretty messed up," Sara said bitterly. "So, thank you for being honest to me about everything."

"No problem," Kon smiled. "At least we know the truth now."

"Is it okay if I talk to Kon alone?" Sara asked Mara.

"Yeah, sure," Mara said getting up. She could overhear the conversation from any room in the house.

"I'm sorry about everything. I didn't know what the fuck was going on," Kon lied.

Sara gave him a kiss silencing him. "I don't want to be just friends anymore," she admitted.

"Shall we shag now or shag later?" Kon asked her.

"Wait...what?" Sara thought she misheard.

"You're being a tease," Kon accused.

"I was just thinking first base, you know, kisses and stuff," Sara said lamely.

"I suppose," Kon said without enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, Kyle was getting sloshed as Mon kept giving him beer after beer. "Tell Kara I'm sorry for the way I've been treating her," Kyle said.

"It's okay," Mon said unconcernedly.

"No, I was wrong about but damn near everything," Kyle admitted.

"You can't blame yourself, Kyle. Who knew Morgan Edge was using mines in Smallville to dig up X-Kryptonite to give the residents superpowers while being under the control of a Kryptonian AI?" Mon excused.

"Well, I was wrong about Kara. At first, I thought she was being an overly competitive bitch that was treating this town like a chess game. But now I realize she's a real badass," Kyle said drunkenly.

"Those two things are not mutually exclusive," Mon said knowingly.

Mon took Kon and Mara home. "So, is it official now?" Mon asked.

"I guess so," Kon said proudly.

"I expect her to be the first of many," Mon said to his son.

"She will be, dad," Kon assured him.

Morgan Edge then landed next to them. "Your mother won't be returning anytime soon. Which is why Uncle Morgan has decided to pay a visit."

"Creepy as fuck," Mon remarked.

"So, this is the life Kara chose for herself. It looks poor," Morgan said disappointedly.

"You're not welcome here. Don't make me kick your ass," Mon threatened.

"Where's mother?" Mara demanded.

"When I last saw her, she was knocked the fuck out in the fortress under Kryptonite rays," Morgan said victoriously.

Mon fired on Morgan but he countered with his own heat vision quickly overpowering him. "This is all your fault, Mon-El. You made Kara turn her back on her own people," Morgan accused.

"Dude, that ship sailed long ago before I even got here," Mon said getting back up.

"Pledge that you will submit to me," Morgan ordered.

"I don't swing that way," Mon mocked.

"Take a good look at your Insane father. It may be your last," Morgan taunted the kids.

Mon then received a transmission from Brainiac 5. "One of my drones was destroyed by Leslie Larr. She has Kameron."

"Well played, asshole," Mon glared at Morgan.

"Come with me or your daughter dies," Morgan ordered.

The two flew off to the southwest desert. There, Morgan brought Mon inside his own Fortress of Solitude. A hologram of Brainiac then appeared. "Here he is," Morgan said to him.

"Prince Mon-El of the Jin-Saiyan," Brainiac identified.

"You don't have to do this," Mon told him.

"Is that weakness I sense from you? Destroy one of my ships or one of my drones, I just create another. Destroy one of my collections, I simply collect more. But you would do anything to protect your own spawn," Brainiac mocked.

A red beam of light hit Mon forcing him to his knees. "You've trained all of your muscles except for the one that truly matters," Brainiac mocked. "You are now mine."

Smallville

With Kara and Mon both defeated, Kon and Mara gave anxious looks. "Hey, John, we have a problem," Mara said dryly.
