"Tara, can you teach me how to make pancakes?"
Tara smiled warmly at Dawn. "Sure. Ca…ca…can you grab the milk from the fridge, oh and the eggs?"
"What next?"
"A bowl, the chocolate chips, and the batter box."
"Batter box?"
She gave a shy grin. "They ar…ar…aren't from scratch."
Dawn passed her the box and let out a disappointed sigh. "I always thought they were."
Tara steadily mixed the ingredients together in a bowl till it was just right. "No, just doctored up to taste like it."
"Well that's cool too I guess."
"Pass the non-stick spray please."
"Sure thing."
