Just something I typed up the night before the Phantom Movie was released. I posted it on a message board and just found it again recently.

Nothing great, but I think it's cute. Hope you like it.

I can't believe it's been two years...

The Night Before Phantom

T'was the night before Phantom,
when all phans on the boards
Everyone was excited, --though also a bit bored;
The posters were hung to cover their entire walls with care,
In hopes that the Phantom Movie soon would be there.
The phans were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Ballet Girls danced in their heads;

And Gerard in his kilt, and Emmy in her cute little tee,
Where just retiring from the set of their new movie to be,
When out on the lot there arose such a clatter,
That Patrick sprung from his trailer to see what was the matter.
Away to Set 5 they flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters, while Gerry cursed, tripping on the trash .
The stars reflecting off the broken chandelier thing-a-ma-jig
Gave the illusion of a silhouette on Minnie's 30 pound wig,
When, what then their wondering eyes should see,
But a small music box, with a persian monkey,

Then all of a sudden, it seemed magically,
The small music box played a soft melody.
They began to panic, thought of calling the cops,
But Patrick simply covered it with the wig of the fop;
"Come now, don't freak out! It is simply a prop."
But Gerard just tsked saying, "Shows what you know, you fop."
Gerry pointed to the mirror, beggining to glimmer galore
While Emmy stated "That wasn't there before"

Then the notes that the managers used in their scene,
Blew into the mirror, which continued to gleam
And from out of the mirror, a masked figure flew,
Leaving behind two confused hunks, and pretty Emmy too.
And then, in a twinkling, one phan heard, expression aloof
The slight scratching of a punjab lasso being dragged on the roof.
The phan drew in their hand, and was turning around,
Down the chimney the shadow came with a bound.
He was dressed all in black, as black as the night,
Except for his mask which was a pure white;
He said "The world hates me for my hideous face!",
Then brandished his lasso from a hidden briefcase.

His eyes -- pleading eyes! Both threatened and adored!
Said he "Now all shall die, because by Christine I'm abhorred!"
His mishapen mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the back of his cape was all covered in snow;
When the shocked phan ran foward and wrapped their arms around,
The even more shocked Phantom, who fell the the ground;
The phan said "I love you Erik! I think you're grand!",
The incrudelous phantom thought he was going mad.

"But I'm so ugly, here, look at me face!",
He said pulling off his mask, the phan gave him some space.
The phantom replaced his mask and shook his head,
The phan had drawn back, just as he had dread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to the door,
He was ready to leave; thinking he was loved no more,
When, running after him, the phan arose
And handed him an internet ordered phantom plastic rose;
The Phantom was touched when the phan said "I still love you",
And the now crying Phantom could only say "Thank you".
So he sang the phan to sleep, tucking him or her in tight
And dissapeared in a flash, he had other phans to visit that night
