Summary: this takes place a year after the events of Mlp:Make Your Mark, it is also a Zipp x hitch. I love there chemistry throughout make your mark Thats how I started to ship them. So I hope you all enjoy this fic it's my first time doing one so sit back relax and enjoy.

Chapter 1

Maretime Bay

"Ahh, the sea of Maretime bay it's funny that the Magic crystals of Equestria are here." The pony with the black mane, blue scars, and his henchmen arrived.

One of the henchmen came up to the pony in charge to question him."Um, sir are you sure this is a great idea? I mean it's not that I question it, it's just they got magic back like a year ago and the magic glitches sometimes so are you sure about this?"

The pony walked up to the henchmen and leaned to him."Do you think this is important right now for you to question me?" He looks at him with anger. "Tomorrow is Maretime Bay day so." He looks back at his henchmen "let's make them remember what happens when they lose the magic and remember make sure you ponies dress normally and not mobsters ok." They all nodded and headed toward their positions.

Maretime bay day

All the ponies are ready for the special day of maretime bay day. When all the ponies of Equestria united together, it's a tradition for earth ponies, pegasus, and unicorns to come together in harmony.

"Beep beep beep."The sound of the alarm clock as the stallion woke up at the noise. He stares at the clock that's said 6:00 am. Hitch trailblazer the sheriff in town.

He stretched out with his hoofs stretched out "Yes, today is Maretime Bay day and it's sparkys first Maretime Bay day as well." He then looks at the deputy desk where it says nothing on the name stand. He remembers when sprout left his position of deputy and left maretime bay.

Flashback

"You're leaving why?" Hitch said to sprout "Because of magic Hitch, Maretime bay is not the same when you guys brought magic, and if your wondering I told my mom already."

As he opens the doors looks out his home and looks back at him. "Look Hitch thank you for being like a brother to me, but it's time for me to find out what I can be. Maybe meet some pony of my dreams out there. she's waiting for me or finding someplace that likes my expertise at the building. Perhaps you too can find that special somepony to Hitch here in Maretime Bay. You never know when you meet a special mare." Hitch looks at him and maybe he might "Yeah maybe I can try to find that lucky mare."

He went up to him and place a hoof on his shoulder."Good luck brother I hope you find what you are looking for." with a smile

Flashback ended

Ever since then hitch tried to look for a new deputy but had no luck. He also has to take care of a baby dragon but Zipp has been helping a lot lately. Some say too much but he doesn't mind for some reason he likes her near but he shook that thought.

The door opened which he didn't hear because he was still stuck in thought "Hey hitch is this a good time." Hitch didn't respond he still staring at the empty deputy's desk, Zipp got closer to him and place a hoof on his shoulder which got his attention."Are you ok?"

Zipp asked and he looked back, he was startled.

"Oh, Zipp?! I didn't hear you come in, sorry." Zipp put her hoof down "No problem sheriff, now come on its Maretime Bay day." He nodded at her "So your bringing sparky I don't mind helping if you're busy with him." Hitch thought about that but he doesn't mind. "Sure Zipp I don't mind your always welcome to help." He said with a smile as he picks up sparky with his bag. "Now come on we have a celebration to go to." He said with a smile.

Hours later.

The ponies of maretime bay setting up for today's event. "Alright, this year's maretime bay day is going to be amazing." Sunny said looking at the decorations of maretime bay as well as the food. "As you can see ponies of Equestria this year of maretime bay is going to be stunning!!! So come on down and enjoy this special day." Pipp said Izzy was next to Pipp "Yep make sure to have enough glitter for everypony." She said jumping around with pipps phone "Now Tonight is going to be amazing for Maretime Bay!!" Pipp said.

Sunny came up to them. "They're going to love it you guys besides it's not like last year when the crystals glitch and as long as every pony is getting along, then everything should be fine and well. while you guys are finishing decorating I'm going to look for Hitch."

As all three of them were getting ready Sunny went to look for hitch, as she tries to find him she wonders to herself what will happen if magic leaves again will the ponies of Equestria will hate each other once again, or will it be even worse.

Later

It's been a while but she can't find Hitch anywhere and crazy enough she can't find Zipp either she wasn't in her bed this morning when they woke up.

"Oh, my pony Sunny, where are my sister and Hitch, are they going to help." Sunny ease her up."Relax Pipp, maybe Hitch still trying to make sure everything is perfect for today." Pipp nodded in agreement."Ok well, I'm going back to the Brighthouse to find my lucky microphone that Zipp brought me last year."

As Pipp flew her way to the lighthouse as she lands on the roof of the lighthouse to find her lucky microphone "Now where is it?" As she looks around In their rooms she found her microphone in her room "Ah there it is." As she picked it up from pipps desk, she notice something else. "Mmm, what's this?" She looks down underneath her desk and found her sister's diary of all things.

She picked it up, analyze it and it is hers. "Why is her dairy here I thought it was back at Zephyr Heights." She looked at it for a while. "Maybe it's best to put it away." She was about to but her Curiosity got the best of her.

"Well, it's not hard to look at it at least a couple of pages."So she sat on her sister's bed to read what she wrote in her diary but later on the read. "Well, it's all just her routine on things like going to the marathon, talking to friends, and huh hanging out with Hitch?" That got her interest "That's interesting usually hmm?" She was continuing reading until stumbled upon something unexpected. "My crush? Zipp storm my sister has a crush somepony?!" She flip to the next page and was shocked to see "*gasp* no way!!"

Later

Pipp got back from the BrightHouse to see Sunny, really quickly while everyone in Equestria is coming over for Maretime Bay day and enjoying their time. "Hello everypony this year is going to be a blast. So I hope enjoy yourselves." Sunny said on stage, Pipp rushed to her quickly when she got off the stage.

"Sunny can We talk in private." As she looks around and sees her sister with Hitch. "Now!" Sunny looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "why-" Pipp dragged her to her smoothie stand.

She quickly closes the smoothie stand ceiling."Pipp this better be a good reason for you to drag me to my smoothie stand." Pipp waste no time at all. "Oh, my pony Sunny while I was getting my special microphone that Zipp brought to me last year and I found this!" Right in front of her face is zipps diary! "Pipp, why do you have that?" Pipp got to the point. "Sunny let's just say that I found out something that's so surprising!" As she closed the doors and stand at the smoothie stand. "Read!" Sunny took the dairy and notice what Pipp noticed.

"Zipp's crush?" As she reads the next page that shocked her as she reads. "Hitch trailblazer what is there not to like? He is so kind, sweet, and brave. It's what every mare would dream about having and it's hard not to fall in love with him. I love hanging out with him and I hope someday I'll tell him how I feel."

Sunny stopped reading was shocked still and looked back at pipp "I know right, my sister has a crush on Hitch!" As she jumps around. "I can't believe that she likes him and I always wondered why she likes to hang out with him." Sunny though cut to the case. "Pipp we need to keep this to ourselves and not tell anypony."Pipp nod but realize something. "But what about Izzy should we tell her to?" Sunny thought about it but she know that she can't keep a secret. "No, not yet anyway just us ok." Pipp nodded.

Elsewhere at the BrightHouse

As the henchmen get ready to steal the crystals of Equestria they successfully sneak their way to the lighthouse "Get ready to steal the crystal, you guys." With a phone on his hoof. "Are you sure about this boss?" As he looks at him again. "Yes, I'm sure?! there will be no more magic." As he smiles at that thought "ok sir."

As they sneak into the lighthouse which was a long story let's just say it is their way of sneaking into the crowd of distracted ponies they made there inside to find the crystals. "Ohh wow look at this, they have a lot of stuff here." As the henchmen were playing around with the boss when the elevator-like plant formed and saw the crystals floating in the Air.

"Such beauty to behold but too dangerous in the wrong hands." As the henchmen heard what he said, he proceed to tell him that the airship is coming in five minutes.

"Umm, sir the boat is coming soon so what do we do?" The boss looks at him and the crystals at the same time. "Equestria will see what will happen when magic falls again and how too much magic is needed.

They will remember the day it was stolen by me Gladus Orfee."Staring at the crystals.

Meanwhile Hitch and Zipp

Zipp has been with Hitch for while having a cute conversation and such. They both sat on a bench for them to see the sea and the sunset. Luckily Izzy was kind enough to make a stroller for sparky. "Well, it looks like everypony is enjoying Maretime Bay day. so far it hasn't been night yet." Hitch said while playing with sparky. "Yeah it's a good thing, you sure did a lot, Hitch," Zipp said sitting right next to him and playing with sparky too.

"Sooo Hitch did you finally find a new deputy?" Zipp asked, Hitch was surprised that Zipp is still asking that question every time. "Uhh no actually I haven't had the chance to find a new deputy." As he looks down.

Zipp caught him looking down as she was done playing with sparky. "What about me Hitch I can be your deputy." She said with a smile. "After all, I do have a detective badge, so why not have a deputy badge to help you out, Hitch." Hitch thought about it and to be honest she has a good reputation and a good skill set but there's that thought of princess hood or soon-to-be queen stuff that she had to deal with and it might be too much for her too.

"I'll think about it Zipp but to be honest are you sure?" Zipp nodded instantly. "Yes, hitch I would love to help you." But in reality, the real reason why she wants to is that she wants to be near him. Ever since they first met she always wants to hang out with him in truth she has a crush but doesn't know if she's ready to tell him or not. She looks down at that thought 'when am I going to tell him?'

Hitch took notice of her looking down. Hitch got closer to her. "Look Zipp you're a princess what if your mom won't go through with that," Hitch said while he was putting sparky in a stroller. Hitch places his hoof on her shoulder. "Zipp is everything ok?" Hitch asked. "To be honest Hitch I just don't know what to do. My mom is still thinking that I should go back to Zephyr Heights to train to become a queen but I don't want to leave here. I belong here with my friends."

Hitch thought about it and for some reason, he was scared of losing her. Sure he is not afraid of danger or anything but afraid of losing Zipp that's something that he's never thought of before so why did he feel this way? But without thinking, he said something that unexpected. "Zipp if you want me to help you with anything I'm here for you." He thought 'Where did that come from?' His Mind was not the same after that.

Zipp was ready to say it once and for all to tell him how she feels for him. Her heart beating like crazy, she took a deep breath. "Hitch there's something I want to tell you." She said "Yeah Zipp?" She took a deep breath " I .."

glitch glitch*

Zipp looks at her wings and Hitch noticed, sparky got scared and hides under his covers. They both recognize it as they both look at the BrightHouse they both ran towards Sunny to find out what's happening.

Sunny sees all the Pegasus and unicorns magic glitching like it did last year.

The alicorn magic Sunny has is beginning to disappear "What's happening the magic is glitching?!" She looks at the rainbow lighthouse glitching and blinking. "What's going on!?" Izzy said as she can't do her magic by lifting her glitter box. "OH MY PONY SUNNY?! What's going on I suddenly can't fly!!" She said in a panic."SUNNY!" She heard a voice from a distance, it came from Hitch she saw him and Zipp running towards her direction."Sunny what's going on!?"

Sunny was about to say something but she look at the lighthouse and it was blinking like crazy. "Guys look the lighthouse is glitching." They all ran towards the lighthouse to find out what was going on.

Meanwhile at the BrightHouse

"I TOLD YOU TO BE CAREFUL!" As he stared at the crystals still trying to stay put. "I'm sorry boss but we are having a tough time."As he watches them trying to get the crystal out of the middle of the lighthouse, he sees the mane 5 coming this way. He looks back at them. "MOVE YOU IDIOTS! I'll do it myself!" As gets close staring at the crystal with anger. "This ends NOW!" As blue magic starts to form from his hoof glowing to form a giant crystal underneath the lighthouse comes up breaking the magic and separating the crystal of Equestria.

"Woah!!do you think that was a bit much?!"Gladius looks at the henchmen. "Grab the crystals and get to the airship NOW!!"Gladius walked at the broken window and sees the mane five coming this way.

Sunny and the others see the lighthouse crumbling down before their eyes. "Oh no!!" As part of the lighthouse collapsing and there stands Gladius the one who is responsible for all this destruction. Sunny and her friends looked at him for what he's done.

As the blue magic disappears the stallion looks at them in anger as he speaks. "Well, well if isn't the mane five that brought magic back to Equestria." The cold angry sentence form out of his mouth. "You all made a terrible mistake in bringing magic back. Now you will all suffer the consequences." He narrows his eyes with a dark voice.
