Hey everybody TheAwesomeCoolJay FINALLY returns! Yeah finally... sorry. So college started backed up in August and I pretty much focused all on that, but taking higher level classes require your attention plus, I need to update my other story and it was stupid long. Funny thing is that it is still a part! Anyway posting this on the beginning of all my stories I'm late on.
Actually intro, what's happening my peeps, it's good to be back and even better to not leave this story on a cliffhanger. Seriously that would be the worst thing I could possibly do to all of you. Three things before we start. One, I had to return, a lot crazy things happened in this community ranging from authors doing very questionable things, no names will brought up but I think you know. Two, season 4's special episode set a bad taste in most of your mouths, I was more mixed to negative about it but whatever, this story takes place all the way to season 3, so those events haven't even happen yet. Three, were not even at the end, feels real stupid to stop now, lets get it!
The Loud House is owned by Nickelodeon
"How did I get into this mess?" Lincoln talking to the readers about his most recent problem.
The mess he was referring to was the fact that he was currently hanging from a skyscraper building. The only thing that was keeping him safe was the fact that his claws helped him keep a good grip on the building.
"Okay I just need-"
Suddenly the areas where Lincoln kept his grip broke off and soon the boy began to plummet to the ground. At first he panicked, but quickly remembered he had bat powers, which meant flight but for some odd reason his abilities didn't seem to work. He flapped his arms desperately to fly but to no avail, to make matters worse he looked down to see was about to hit the ground.
"Wait, wait, WAI-"
Thud, it was all over... so why wasn't he in greater pain and more importantly why wasn't he dead? Lincoln opened his eyes and saw that his surroundings changed, he didn't fall from a skyscraper, he fell from a couch. Everything that previously happen was just a dream, one horrible dream.
"Wow this superhero life really is pumping out some nightmares." The boy said as he wiped the sweat off of his head from that terrible ordeal. "What happen last night?"
"That's what I want to know too."
Lincoln turned his head to see who said that and to his surprise he found out it that it was Mr. Grouse who had said that and he was in his neighbor's house. Before he could say anything, Lincoln saw that his neighbor offered him an ice pack.
"This for your head Lincoln."
At first he was about to take it but this moment just made the boy realize something, Mr. Grouse called him Lincoln. Lincoln felt what he was wearing and confirmed it was still his Bat Boy costume, so how did Mr. Grouse figure out his secret?
"Actually sir, it's Bat Boy." Lincoln awkwardly trying to keep his cover.
"Is it with or without the mask?" Mr. Grouse asked picking up said mask from a small table.
That was indeed his mask and to make matters worse once he placed hands on his face he felt that nothing was covering it.
"Dang it."
"Don't feel too bad about it kid, I've known for a while."
"Wait when and how?"
"Ever since the Super Mart incident." The elderly man said as he got ready to explain.
Flashback
It was early in the morning, so early that the sun didn't even shine yet, but Mr. Grouse was currently up in his kitchen. Waking up early in the morning, Grouse figured a quick snack will help him get to sleep. Before he could take a bite, the old man stopped when he heard something outside, to be more specific, next door. It came from the Loud House and Mr. Grouse was not having their shenanigans at this time of the day.
TheAwesomeCoolJay: I won't lie, it's 3 in the morning and your keeping me up, best believe we're going to have problems.
When he made it to his window, Mr. Grouse got ready to complain, but stopped when he noticed somebody was actually climbing the house. Taking a better look at the individual, Mr. Grouse noticed it was Bat Boy from the news. At first he was going question what he was doing at his neighbors' house, but remembered that their is one boy that lives over there.
End of Flashback
"And that's when I expected you to be Bat Boy." Mr. Grouse finishing his story.
"Oh, I didn't expect anyone to see me at that time." Lincoln said, a bit embarrassed by actions.
"You need to get better at it, cause I saw you again when you left yesterday from that window and now you're sleeping out in the open!"
"Mistakes were made I... wait, get better?"
"Yeah get better, can't always save you."
"Does this mean you're not telling my family my secret?"
"Look Loud, I don't care how you got these powers, I just want to know are you going to keep on doing the good that you do and do you realize how much your life is going to change once you commit to this?
"I was raised well enough and from all the comics I have read, I think I can always make good choices." The boy answering the first question. "As for the changes, well I won't lie, it's going to take some getting used to, but it's like you said I have to commit."
"Well said, now get home." Mr. Grouse told him as the man gave the boy his mask. "You need to get ready for school."
As he grabbed the mask, Lincoln spotted a blue journal in Mr. Grouse's bookshelf and remembered another problem he has. Thinking ahead Lincoln asked for permission to borrow it and sure enough Mr. Grouse agreed. Having everything he needs, Lincoln quickly ran up the stairs until he spotted the window that is parallel to his room.
"I questioned at some point in my life about if I could make that jump, now I can finally get that answer."
TheAwesomeCoolJay: Do not try this at home. I'm serious!
Lincoln opened the window and eyed his destination, to make sure he gets it right he backed up a bit to get more running speed. Having enough space, Lincoln dashed towards the window and made a clean jumped to the outside and towards his house. Just right under his window, Lincoln quickly climbed to his room and the moment he entered, Lincoln focused with his enhanced hearing.
"Nobody's up right now, good." He says with relief as he now checks his phone for the time. "Good 5 minutes before we all start the day, time to set my plan in motion."
5 minutes later
"Kids time for school!" The mother of Louds called out.
As the girls got out of their rooms, all of them noticed that the blue journal Lincoln was guarding was right there in the hallway. Wasting no time, all of them immediately dogpiled to obtain it, after that Lincoln casually came out of his room.
"Ha, we got it Lincoln!" Lola says in a victorious tone.
"More like I gave it to you." Lincoln counters back. "Don't get me wrong I like to win against you guys a lot, but the thought of me doing so much is a waste of my time."
"Yeah right we totally beat you." Lynn speaking up.
"Okay sure, now take a look at your prize."
Once he said that the girls immediately had the journal open and skim everything that was readable. After a few seconds of reading, the girls had enough because what they read didn't relate to them or Lincoln at all.
"What the heck Lincoln, you don't go night fishing." His princess sister said to him.
"And dude, when have you ever own classic ice cream truck jingles?" Luna asked.
"Never, this journal is a replacement for Mr. Grouse."
"Why does Mr. Grouse want you to replace his journal?" The eldest sister asked.
"He doesn't, I'm doing him favor because I found it by accident outside, long story short, it got messed up and I'm making him a new one." Lincoln finishing his explanation. "The only reason I didn't want you all to see it because, I didn't want to add anything he doesn't do in here."
"You could of kept it less secret then Lincoln." Lola telling her brother as she hands him the journal back. "Sorry for being so nosy."
"And sorry for not letting you all know ahead of time."
After the apologies the kids got back to getting ready for school. When they finally got ready the Loud children made their way to the door. Everything was fine until, Lincoln's hearing picked up something on the T.V., it was the voice of Griffin. Turning his head to the television Lincoln noticed that the cop was being interviewed about the most recent arrest.
"Thanks again Ms. Mulligan for having me, but I'm going to have to keep things short, I got some friends I need to go visit in the hospital." Griffin referring to his partners.
"Officer the public just want to know how on earth did you stop 4 men?" Ms. Mulligan asked.
"With the help of Bat Boy."
"Bat Boy, out of people helped you?"
"Yeah, at the end of the day people could view him good or bad, but in this cop's eyes he is a hero."
Once he heard that, Lincoln smiled, the boy really wanted to enjoy this moment, but the honk from Vanzilla had brought him back to reality.
"Hurry up Lincoln!" Lori calls out from the van.
Rushing towards the van, Lincoln got in and stared out the window. His future looking a little more bright, the only boy in the Loud House smiled for what he has face next.
SHAZAM! And I don't mean the hero, but yeah. So not an action packed chapter, but more of story progressing, but hey next chapter is going to get wild and crazy. I promise I won't take as long to update next time, I really mean it. Enough of my talk, what's to come next?
The Bat Boy and the Griffin feud is over, all is well right? Wrong! One person actually used their feud for attention, but now that it is over what is the next step this person will take get such attention? And just how will Bat Boy be affected?
