Hey everybody TheAwesomeCoolJay returns and is in good health! So you know what has taken over the world right now, did not see that coming, but what I want to see is people doing the right thing and keep themselves clean and safe out there. Wow we 100 reviews for this story, I am truly grateful that many people actually enjoy the series so far. Now before we actually begin, you all will get a short next and it's kind of important to Lincoln's origin. I thought I made a mistake, but I found a way to capitalize on this situation. Stay tuned for that short and enjoy this chapter.
The Loud House is owned by Nickelodeon
At one of Royal Woods' many television stations, Officer Griffin was there thanking the people who were in charge of letting him on air again. Everyone seemed to be happy for the man and the well-being of his friends, but one person was a bit mixed about the whole situation.
"There goes the best story we've ever had."
The person who said that was Katherine Mulligan and she was by a corner with her crew watching Griffin leave the building. In her crew there was Todd, the man who wore the hat, had the ear gauges, and was wearing the Nirvana smiley face shirt and there was Stan, the bald man, rocking the horseshoe mustache and beard.
TheAwesomeCoolJay: Currently these guys have no name so I looked at them and just decided like that. And yes they are actually in the show.
"There'll be other stories Katherine." Todd trying to calm the reporter down.
"Yeah, how's about we cover one of the local school sport teams." Stan suggested.
"That small time stuff isn't going to cut it for Katherine Mulligan or the public, we want drama!" Mulligan explained to her crew. "The cop vs. the kid was the talk, but now their all buddy-buddy now and that will make the people walk."
"Well you're not wrong, but how I see it this story was only juicy because of Bat Boy." The cameraman brought up. "Little guy is on a roll right now."
"You can say that again Todd, the minute the kid is in the news or mentioned in social media it's an instant attention grabber." Stan agreeing with his friend. "I'm telling ya, anyone who can get an interview with that kid will be the talk."
After he said that, the opportunity of a lifetime seemed available to Katherine Mulligan. The idea of securing an interview with Bat Boy seemed like a golden ticket to fame and recognition, two things Mulligan craved for.
"Then we will be those ones to do it."
"Uh, Kat I know I said that but how in the world are we even going to find the kid?"
"Yeah, kid is a superhero, I think saving people is a higher priority than letting the news interview him."
"Who's to say he can't do both." Katherine replies as she brings them together to explain the plan.
Royal Woods Elementary
The end of another school day saw all of the kids exiting the building and going home either by car ride or walk. Lincoln and Clyde decided to walk home together, only because the former wanted to talk to Clyde about the new power he now possesses.
"You have a sonic scream now!" Clyde said thrilled to hear about the new power.
"Yeah, guess my last name has a whole new meaning now."
TheAwesomeCoolJay: Get it? Because screams are Loud... I'll stop with the jokes if anyone asks.
"So the day is saved and the feud with you and the cop is over with, now what's next for Bat Boy?"
"Don't know, but you can expect nothing but good things for him." The son of the Loud family happily replies as he continued to walk forward.
As the children continued their walk, a cry for help was picked up by Lincoln's enhanced hearing. There seemed to be trouble on the other side of town and it looked like it was time for the boy to hero up again.
"Sorry to cut things short Clyde but duty calls."
"No need to explain, just be safe out there man."
Looking at his surroundings, Lincoln ducked in some bushes and changed into his costume. Taking flight, Bat Boy began tracking the person and was planning ahead on how to stop whatever was happening. In the air, the young hero spotted the crime going on, it appeared to be a woman in a red dress being harassed by two men wearing ski masks at a bus stop.
"Doesn't seem too hard, takeout the two stooges and rescue the damsel." Bat Boy confidently says to himself.
Diving down, Bat Boy landed in between the lady and the two thugs, catching all three of them by surprise. Taking advantage of that, Bat Boy put the bigger man down with a punch to the gut and kicked the other in the shin. With them dealt with, Bat Boy walked over to the woman to see if she was okay.
"Are you okay lady, can I get you anything?"
"I'm fine, but an interview with you will do just fine!"
Now that caught Bat Boy really off guard because once she said that, the woman pulled off the red dress and underneath it revealed her actually wearing a yellow coat and skirt. After her reveal, the two thugs got up and took off their masks and walked over to the woman's side, one with a camera in hand and the other making sure no civilians come and ruin the shop.
"Wait, this was a setup?"
"And we are live." Mulligan talking to her cameraman, as she now turns her attention to Bat Boy. "Hello there Bat Boy, I'm-"
"Wasting my time!" The young hero interrupting the reporter. "Listen whatever your name is, don't go wasting my time like that, if somebody was actually in trouble you would be to blame for me not being there!"
"I-I just wanted an-"
"Interview, well I hate to break it to you but superheroes don't do interviews!" He said as he walked away and prepared to fly off, the hero looked back at the reporter. "And scene!"
Later that day in the Loud house
Lincoln found himself sitting on the couch watching some Ace Savvy, while the rest of his family were doing their usual activities. Nothing was too bad on patrol, so it was nice for Lincoln to come home and relax.
"Even though there was no real heroing today, it's nice to know that my actions haven't caused anything bad to happen to me." Lincoln telling the audience.
At that very moment Lincoln's cellphone began to ring and when he looked at it he saw that it was Clyde calling him.
"What's up Clyde?"
"I think you might want to see the news." The young McBride said a bit worried.
Grabbing the remote, Lincoln turned to the news channel and saw that reporter he met earlier and she seemed to be with News Man Tucker. The scene was the two of them and over them was the clip of Bat Boy's last words of the recording.
"Probably not the scoop you wanted Mulligan, but everyone seems to find it funny that an adult like you was scolded by a child." Tucker informs her. "How does that make you feel?"
"I'm fine, nothing like that brings down Katherine Mulligan."
"Oh good." The boy sighed in relief. "Thought she was the type to hold a grudge."
"But this reporter will feel even greater when she meets the lucky person who hands me the photo of an unmasked Bat Boy!" Katherine telling Tucker and the viewers.
TheAwesomeCoolJay: There it is.
"Maybe I was a little harsh, but no way is anyone going to actually-"
"And to the lucky person who can give this reporter that picture, you will receive a $1 million dollar cash prize!"
Once that was said, Lincoln was soon joined by the rest of his sisters, who definitely heard the part about the money.
"Do it." Lincoln finishing his sentence, now a bit nervous about his predicament.
And there you go with the end, hope you all enjoyed. So real quick, was Lincoln to hard, was Mulligan all in the wrong, or a mix of both? Keep on eye out for the short, I really want to fix that error people. And I also want to reintroduce Lincoln's strength, in a future chapter. Only because in my mind he is a lot stronger than I realized. Okay preview time.
Money can really affect people and Bat Boy is feeling those effects when the people go after him! Not only that, but the reward money is a little sketchy when the person who announced it is trying to catch Bat Boy just as fast and even faster than the others.
All the answers are next time, so make sure to stay tuned and remember to R.F.F. (Reviewing, Favoriting, Following) PEACE!
