So I've been meaning to do this ever since I looked back on my very first chapter. In the origins chapter the three bats mentioned are the common Vampire bat, the, Microbat, and the Ghost bat. The three main bats right? Well not quite one's chows on blood, the chooses insects, and one... well I want that one to be a surprise as you read. Anyway, the one bat that was missing was a fruit bat, so read and enjoy this dark part of the story.

Takes place at the end of chapter 8
As Lincoln was about to leave Lily and Lisa's room, a certain question was floating around the boy's head. Ever since the day he told Clyde about his powers and the moment he did that crazy test to determine what kind of bat he was more like, the boy just wanted a better confirmation.
"So Lisa, about those bats?" Lincoln nervously bringing up the previous conversation.
"Like I said before older brother, I removed the enhancer from their bodies, there is nothing to be fearful about." She said keeping her head in her notes, before peeking her head back up. "By the way don't tell Lucy, I don't believe in curses or hexes, but I believe in Lucy's wrath if she ever finds out I was experimenting on bats."
"Noted, but about the bats, was one of them a fruit bat?"
"The Pteropus vampyrus?"
"The what?"
"The large flying fox?"
"Lisa I want to know about a bat, not a fox." Her brother replied still confused.
"The struggle is real being the residence genius." The science prodigy said as she smacked her own head to her brother's ignorance. "Those are both names to the fruit bat I had."
"Oh, so wait you had four, where was the fruit bat?"
"Funny story about that, do you remember the ghost bat?"
"Yeah."
"So that bat was a tad bit carnivorous."
"Wait!" Lincoln said getting a little alarmed because he knew what that word meant. "That means it eats other bats right?"
"Indeed, and apparently I didn't have both cages of the ghost bat and fruit bat as secure as I thought."
"So you're telling me it ate it!"
"Most likely, but hey don't worry about it too much older sibling." Lisa trying to calm her brother down. "Both had already consumed the enhancer."
"Lisa how is that good?"
"I hypothesize the energy the ghost bat received from devouring the flying fox mixed it's DNA, thus creating a hybrid between the two species." She explained as that creepy smile began to form on her face. "I'm making combinations older brother, this is scientific genius!"
"Or madness." Lincoln said under his breath.
And that's the end everybody, hope you all enjoyed this little short of mine. Yeah major save on my part here and before you look it up(I did it too) I saw that the microbat has some that eat fruit, but I look at a majority and it said their species mostly eat insect.
