He looked down at the buffet table, content with his efforts. A freshly prepared cut of ham, a collection of homemade fried chicken, and a various assortment of side dishes to pick and choose from. Weiss would be departing soon for Beacon and Winter for her headquarters in Vale. Tonight needed to be perfect or he would never forgive himself.

The entertainment room had been meticulously prepared to ensure he had everything they could possibly want on hand. Near the buffet table rested a mini-fridge filled with a variety of soft drinks. A folded table in the corner of the room contained a plugged in coffee maker, a hot chocolate filled slow cooker, and a countertop popcorn machine. A newly purchased video game rested next to the console by the television.

Jaune had done his research on party based games. The type of game he needed was rather specific. He needed to find a game simple enough for someone unfamiliar with video games. The game also needed to offer up to six player support with a mix of local and online play. Last time Winter saw them playing games in the entertainment room together, she mentioned she knew someone who would be thrilled to participate. Weiss also seemed to have made some online acquaintance she wished to invite to a game night.

Only one title managed to fit all the necessary requirements for their game night. The console released "Pumpkin Pete's Party Extravaganza!" managed to meet the needs of the group. From what he could gather, the point of the game was to gather ten golden pumpkins before anyone else. Golden pumpkins could be earned through mini-games or through interactions with the board game style environment of the game. Enough ideas seemed to be blended into the game that he was sure everyone would find at least one aspect to enjoy.

Jaune booted up the game console in preparation for their festivities. The Pumpkin Pete jingle blared through the speakers, sung by a chocolate bunny, as he opened up the console menu interface to the friends tab. Only two usernames filled the sparse list. He sent a quick reminder message for when the party would start to Winter's friend, P3NN4, before messaging Weiss's friend Firecracker. With that out of the way, he pulled out the other three controllers and four wireless headsets. With his preparations made, Jaune made himself a cup of coffee before lounging on the L-shaped couch.

Whitley was the first to arrive, "What on earth is that racket? Have you taken a leave of your senses, Jaune? What possessed you to put the Pumpkin Pete jingle on repeat?"

Jaune sat up from the couch, "Sorry, it's the title screen repeating. You don't watch much television, do you? The commercial plays once nearly every advertisement break. You learn to embrace the madness. Accept Pumpkin Pete as your chocolatey deity!"

Whitley grabbed the television controller from the coffee table, muting the jingle, "I would rather huff fire dust, thank you. The only reason their dull mascot is relevant is because of their massive marketing push. Speaking of said marketing push, please tell me the reviews for the game were at least acceptable."

"Ah, define acceptable? The usual places gave it a solid five at least."

Whitley's face morphed into confusion as he took a seat on the couch, "Are you telling me this game got a full five stars in reviews?"

"An entire five out of ten! Don't worry, it's going to be great fun. I got everything set up already. Food is on the table if you want to grab anything to eat before things begin," he was grinning.

"I truly worry about you sometimes. I will go see what you have prepared, keep my seat for me."

Jaune placed his controller on the couch next to him to save Whitely's spot. As he placed the controller down, Weiss and Winter entered the entertainment room speaking together.

"I would appreciate it if you tried to make friends with Penny during today's festivities. I hardly have time to invest in this hobby, but you seem taken with it. See if she seems like someone you would enjoy playing future games with," Winter spoke at Weiss's side.

"I'll try to make her feel welcomed. Firecracker and I have been looking for a third person to include in our three versus three 'Distorted Treeline' matches," Weiss responded.

Jaune waved at the two from the couch, "Food is on the table. Let me know if you would like anything else. I'll brew up more coffee in a few minutes. I let your online friends know to join our console linked group chat in around ten minutes or so. Would recommend muting everyone in this room when we get on call or you might go just a little crazy from the echo."

Winter nodded, "Thank you for reminding Penny for me. One of you will have to show me how to mute others in the call. The headsets are meant to be connected to our scrolls, correct?"

Weiss was the one to answer her, "Yes, I will help you sync your headset to your scroll after we eat. Muting is relatively simple in the console application. You will simply have to click on our account avatars and select to mute us in the group call."

Whitley spoke up from the buffet table, "Is your avatar still the Edelweiss flower, Weiss? I must say, I have absolutely no idea how you came up with such a unique decision. Absolutely astoundingly creative!"

"Shut up, Whitley! At least my avatar isn't a boring picture of some robot. You and Jaune have zero taste when it comes to profile pictures."

"Please, Weiss. The Atlesian Knight is the best part of 'Remnant Defense Force' there is no better profile picture for me to select."

Jaune scoffed from the couch, "Wow, Whitley. That's a strange way of saying Valean Wyvern. We all know it is the superior choice."

Winter interrupted their conversation, "Calm down now children. Weiss has a right to pick a beautiful flower as her profile picture just as much as you two have the right to have your nerdy pictures."

Whitley turned from the buffet table to stare at Winter, "Nerdy? At least we are not dull enough to select a snow cloud as a profile picture. An image of winter for your profile picture, really now?"

"It is a beautiful photo. How can I turn down having such wonderful art as my picture? It represents me well enough."

Weiss walked towards the buffet table as she commented, "It is a little…boring."

Winter followed behind her, "It seems my little sister is a traitor. I dare cover for your profile picture only for you to repay me by calling mine boring? For shame, Weiss. For shame."

The Schnee siblings grabbed their plates of food before coming back over to the couch. Whitley sat next to Jaune, while Winer and Weiss took seats at the two recliners near the L-shaped couch. While the siblings ate, Jaune finished off his cup of coffee before heading over to brew up a fresh batch of coffee.

Jaune called out, "Her, Winter! Do you want coffee or hot chocolate instead? I already know what Weiss and Whitley want."

"Coffee sounds wonderful, thank you."

He poured a mug of coffee for her before filling up a mug of hot chocolate for Weiss and Whitley, "It's a shame we couldn't invite your friends out here to hang out with us. Guess it's too soon right?"

Winter responded as he handed her the mug of coffee, "Penny's father is very strict when it comes to her leaving her home. I'm afraid this is the best we can do to include her for the time being."

Weiss received her hot chocolate, "Firecracker avoids real life talk. She told me she has had some bad experiences with creeps trying to stalk her between her online accounts before. She mentioned she lived somewhere in Vale to me though. I might try to reach out to her more when I'm in Vale for Beacon."

Jaune headed back to the table to grab Whitley's mug and his own, "We'll have to see what the future holds then. Feel free to call them up when you guys are done eating. The game is fully set up. You bought those two a digital copy of the game already, right?"

Both sisters nodded. Jaune turned his attention back to his mug of coffee as he waited for the siblings to finish their meals. Maybe he should have avoided eating before they arrived? It was way too tempting to make a side plate of some of the food back in the kitchen. He couldn't stop himself from eating his meal before bringing the food to the entertainment room.

When everyone finished their meals, Jaune tossed their paper plates in a trash bag in the back of the room. With their meals out of the way, Jaune passed around a controller and a headset to everyone. He sent a group chat invite to both P3NN4 and Firecracker before taking a few moments to mute the voices of those in the room from playing in his headset.

P3NN4 joined near immediately after he sent her an invite, "Salutations friends! This unit is gaming ready! Thank you for inviting me, Winter! You may all call me Penny for the duration of this operation."

Winter's eye twitched as she muted her mic to speak to those within the room, "Forgive Penny if she comes off as a bit odd. Her father is a former work associate within the Atlas military. She's a little sheltered and took a very deep interest in the military. I believe she spends a decent amount of her freetime playing military simulation games."

Whitley spoke in his mic, "Greetings to you as well, Penny. Winter told us you were a fan of military simulation titles. Do you prefer full simulation titles or something arcadey, such as 'Remnant Defense Force'?"

"Father has tasked me with sampling a large variety of interactive entertainment media. I emulated 'Remnant Defense Force' two months ago with a controller. My records indicate 100% completion with the majority of time spent using the Atlesian Cleric class mech."

Whitley had a smug grin on his face, "Wonderful taste. The Atlesian faction has very visually appealing mechs in RDF."

Jaune spoke into his mic, "Well, nice to hear we have a fellow RDF player in the party here. Disappointed I'm the only one who has seen the light and realized the Valean Wyvern is the right choice."

"Negative. Valean Wyvern is not the optimal choice for Aerial class solo play. The Valean Wyvern has 2.2453% less armor value than the Atlesian Cleric. The only reason to select the Wyvern over the Cleric is the 1.524% faster gravity dash boosts. The increased boost speed is irrelevant compared to avoiding armor breakpoints in underground deployments."

Jaune and Whitley stared at one another before shifting their gazes over to Winter. She looked away from both of them with a shrug. Right as Jaune was about to dive back into the RDF discussion, the sound of someone else joining the chat interrupted him.

A cheery female voice played through his mic, "Hello everyone! Thanks for gifting me the game, Edelweiss. Looking forward to playing with everyone else. Apologies in advance if I piss anyone off. I can get competitive sometimes."

Penny responded, "Greetings, Firecracker! You can call me Penny!"

"Feel free to call me Jaune."

"You have my permission to call me Winter."

"Whitley is acceptable."

Weiss spoke into her mic, "Ah, you don't have to worry too much. Most of us here can be as equally as competitive. Since everyone has already given you their first names, you may call me Weiss."

"I figured. Your profile name isn't very subtle, Weiss. Hope it doesn't end up causing you any trouble. Since everyone else is going by first names, I don't really want to be the odd one out. You guys can call me, Yang."

Jaune clapped his hands together once before speaking, "Alright, now that we're all introduced I think it's time for me to go over our game of the night. We will be playing the critically acclaimed 'Pumpkin Pete's Party Extravaganza!' in teams of two, so-."

Penny interrupted him, "Average review scores for 'Pumpkin Pete's Party Extravaganza!' fall into the 4.7 range out of a scale of ten. Critically acclaimed is not an accurate statement."

He laughed, "Penny is absolutely right. The game is hot garbage and I'm going to force all of you into suffering through it with me. Think it's pretty obvious who will be partnering with who, so let me send you two invites to our lobby."

Yang spoke, "Ready to kick some butt, Weiss? I don't mean to brag, but we make a pretty great team. I'm sure we'll have no trouble figuring this stuff out."

"I will be relying on you to cover my weaknesses, Penny," Winter leaned further into her recliner as she awkwardly held her game controller.

"That's the spirit guys! Well now, let me explain how the game actually works. The majority of the game takes place on a gameboard. At the start of your turn, you roll dice to see how far you get to move. Different squares cause different outcomes. We normally are forced into a mini-game at the end of the turn sequence. Don't worry though, the mini-games show you their controls and an example of the mini-game before it actually makes us compete. Team to get ten golden pumpkins wins first," Jaune lightly tapped Whitley's side with his elbow as he nodded towards the screen.

Jaune set the board to be randomized as they loaded into the game. A top down camera view of the board overworld allowed the group to see the theme of the stage. A chocolatey nightmare of various candies, fudges, and other sweets. Placed at the very center of the map was an extremely large chocolate bunny, the mascot of Pumpkin Pete.

Whitley scoffed as the camera continued to pan around the map, "How boorish. I counted at least six advertisement placements within the stage. Do they believe themselves to be subtle with those candy wrappings?"

Yang groaned into her mic, "Oh no. Please tell me they aren't going to interrupt us with ads mid game."

Penny helpfully spoke up, "Negative, friend Yang. Digital advertisement interruptions are unique to the sports genre."

Jaune rolled his starting dice as he spoke, "Huh, the negative reviews were mostly based on the game just playing poorly. They didn't even really mention the advertising."

When his turn finished uneventfully, the others took their turns. A few chocolate candy pickups later, the giant talking bunny statue in the center of the stage threw them into the first mini-game of the night. The group was given a title, a simple tutorial screen featuring a single button prompt, and an example video.

Jaune read the prompt out loud, "Invincible Girl Javelin Throw! Tap the 'A' button to build up as much momentum as possible for your toss before the timer runs out. Team with the highest combined score wins."

The tutorial video showed a chibi model of a girl with a red ponytail wearing gold trimmed armor. The single button prompt flashed rapidly on screen as the model pulled her arm back further and further. A sixty second timer counted down rapidly before the javelin went flying off screen.

Weiss frowned, "I am shocked to see Pyrrha Nikos having a role in such a mediocre title. I wonder if her agent regrets their association with such a poorly reviewed product?"

Yang laughed, "Doubt her wallet does. I would let a garbage game use my pretty face if it got me a few thousand Lien for zero effort."

Winter looked bewildered as she mumbled into the mic, "Tap a button for sixty entire seconds? Where is the skill expression in such a menial task?"

Everyone pressed the confirm button to ready themselves for the start of the mini-game. The screen began to count down from five. Each person in the room prepared themselves to mash the single button required for the mini-game. As soon as the countdown finished, the sound of rapid mashing filled the room.

Five seconds, ten seconds, fifteen seconds.

Whitley yelled out as he tapped his controller at a decent pace, "This is absolutely horrendous! Please tell me not all of the activities are like this."

Jaune grinned as he kept mashing, "You're in luck. I think only ten out of the forty mini-games have single prompt button mashing as their gimmick."

Winter tapped her button at a snail's pace, "A fourth of the entire video game? Is this normal in the games industry? This is a strange hobby."

Weiss was violently tapping her button, "No, it's absolutely not."

Twenty seconds, twenty five seconds, thirty seconds.

"Great introduction to the mini-games," Yang snarked.

Penny's cheerful voice filled the mic, "Correct, friend Yang! This is a wonderful introduction!"

Sixty seconds.

Six chibi avatars of the Invincible Girl released their javelins at the same time. The javelins flew by point markers as they sailed through the air. A few moments passed before the first javelin landed on the floor.

Jaune sighed as he stretched his arms, "Team RDF, final distance score of 426."

Whitley groaned, "How dreadful. Perhaps, we should have put in more effort?"

The second javelin struck the floor. A distance score of 742 popped up on screen.

Yang spoke, "Icy Hot gets the 742! Not horrible for such a garbage mini-game. I'll be honest though, I held back trying to not bust my controller."

"I understand, Yang. I don't blame you for doing so. At least we did not come in last place," Weiss leaned further into her recliner.

The final javelin continued to sail through the air. It kept going and going. It soared past the one thousand marker before going further. A few more moments later, it settled exactly at the 2000 points marker. Jaune, Weiss, and Whitley turned their gazes to Winter.

Winter smiled, "Nicely done, Penny. I hope I was not too much of a burden."

Penny was quick to respond, "Task complete! Team OP4 successfully completes objective one!"

Yang sounded bewildered over the mic, "Are you using a modded controller or something? You're insane if you're tapping that fast on a normal controller."

"Negative, this unit is very skilled with her fingers."

Yang's laughter filled the mic, "I-I'm sure you are!"

Winter spoke with a frown, "I appreciate your effort, Penny. However, you may relax. I do not require us to win."

"Understood!"

The golden pumpkin counter for team OP4 moved up one point as the group was kicked back to the game board. Another round of dice rolls sent each team to different positions on the board. More chocolate candy pickups later, the mini-game screen appeared once more.

Yang read her customized version of the prompt out loud, "Pumpkin Pete Treats, blah blah. Main button is 'A' again. You use it to select the ingredients for the orders you get. Teams are assigned to completing a drink and main entree each. One player focuses on the drink, the other the entree. First team to complete three orders correctly wins."

The tutorial video showed a chocolate bunny sitty at a dining table with a speech bubble above its head. Within the speech bubble, a picture of a milkshake and a hamburger. A moment later, the images faded to show a brief picture of four ingredients for each of the missing items. After ten seconds, the camera panned away from the bunny to show a counter with a blender and a bunch of spread out ingredients. Another camera angle showed a similar counter, except it was filled with main entree ingredients.

Jaune spoke, "Seems like we have a memory game here. Doesn't look too bad. At least it's not button mashing again."

"A simple enough concept. I am prepared to begin if everyone else is," Whitley held his controller at the ready.

The group confirmed they were ready to begin. A five second countdown began before the image of the chocolate bunny sitting at a dining table appeared for each team. A brief flash later, the teams were tasked with completing a unique order each.

Yang yelled into her mic, "No! I'm telling you, Weiss. It was two slices of tomato and one slice of lettuce!"

"You're wrong! I'm sure it was two slices of lettuce and one slice of tomato on the hamburger!" Weiss yelled back into the mic.

Jaune and Whitley were whispering to one another as they went about completing what they believed to be a correct version of their order. Winter quietly took her time completing the milkshake she was assigned while Penny worked silently on the main entree. When all the teams were finished submitting their completed meals, the meals appeared in front of the chocolate bunny on each of their portions of the screen.

The chocolate bunny looked down at team RDF's meal, "I'm very hungry!"

A moment later, the bunny picked up the hotdog and took a single bite. The bunny smiled as a +1 displayed on screen. The same scene repeated for team OP4, giving them a 1/3 towards the mini-game win requirement.

When the Icy Hot meal was placed before the chocolate rabbit, it gave it a single glance before yelling, "No! I don't want that!"

The meal was shoved aside as their progress remained a 0/3. No further information was provided by the game to show what exactly was wrong with the order.

Weiss grumbled, "Such nonsense. Where did we go wrong?"

Yang sounded irritated, "We just need to pay more attention next round."

The camera panned back away from the bunny before starting another five second countdown. Soon enough, the mini-game repeated its loop. Each team scored a +1 to their completion of the mini-game in the second round. The third round began with two teams at ⅔ and one team at ⅓.

Once the third round finished, the point total for RDF and OP4 displayed a 3/3. Surprisingly, the mini-game did not stop in a draw. A small text screen displayed informing the two teams the tie would be broken through a final round based on who could complete their order the fastest. Team Icy Hot's section of the screen remained faded out as the other two teams prepared themselves.

Penny spoke, "I am ready! Do your best, Winter!"

Winter looked resigned as she stared at the screen, "I shall try my best to not disappoint you."

The speed round began with a short countdown. Penny completed her drink order within the first fifteen seconds of the round. Winter lagged behind as she fiddled with the controller to select the right main entree ingredients. Right before she placed the final ingredient, the round ended.

Jaune held his hand out for Whitley to high five as they claimed their first mini-game win of the night, "Good job, Whitley."

He shook his head in denial, "We were slow. We would have lost if Winter was more comfortable with the controller. I am ashamed at how slowly I completed my order. We did not deserve the win."

Winter denied his statement, "You two won because of my inexperience. I am the one at fault for not having the experience necessary for completing my task in time. There is a lesson to be learned here."

Yang helpfully chimed, "Put more hours into gaming!~"

Winter sighed, "You're not wrong. Rather, I believe it is beneficial to plan ahead. I should have spent extra time familiarizing myself with the controller before we began today's activities. I admit, I was put off by my lack of talent for that racing game I attempted once."

Weiss spoke, "You don't have to be perfect at everything, Winter. No reason to punish yourself for not having the same hobby as us."

"A fair enough point. I shall still try my best to learn the layout of the controller to not further make a fool out of myself," Winter was looking back down at the controller in her hands.

The mini-game screen faded back out to the chocolate board game overworld. A new round started, followed by another mini-game. The teams fell into the rhythm of the game. Board game rounds were spent collecting chocolate candies to spend on power-ups. Most of said power-ups were used offensively against other teams while on the board.

When the teams were not messing with each other using the power-ups, they spent time completing a variety of mini-games at the end of the round. The quality of the mini-games heavily varied. Some were as terrible as the initial "Invincible Girl Javelin Throw!" while others were tolerable. Two hours went by as the teams spent time on both the board game overworld and the mini-games.

Jaune glanced up at the team scoreboard while they were on the overworld screen. Team OP4 was in the lead with nine out of the ten golden pumpkins needed for a victory. Icy Hot had a total of eight golden pumpkins. Team RDF were in last with seven out of the needed ten golden pumpkins.

He grinned as he looked at the power-up they finally managed to purchase with the last of the candies they picked up on the chocolate board. The image of the power-up was a large hand reaching out towards the right. A quick glance at the power description showed the purpose of the power was to steal a golden pumpkin from a team to give it to any other team in the game. He had a brilliant idea.

He smiled as his turn began, "Five-Finger discount time."

Nearly everyone involved groaned at the prospect of team RDF taking a golden pumpkin from OP4. It would mean every team would be tied at eight out of the needed ten golden pumpkins. It would mean having to continue playing "Pumpkin Pete's Party Extravaganza."

The golden pumpkin selection screen appeared as his power-up activated. He smugly looked around the room as he moved the cursor down to select Icy Hot as the team he would be stealing a pumpkin from.

Yang was confused, "Why bother taking a pumpkin from us? That doesn't make any sense!"

Jaune smiled widely, "I'm simply ending the game."

With the Icy Hot pumpkin selected, he hovered the cursor over to the OP4 inventory. The OP4 score tally ticked up to ten golden pumpkins, causing the game to immediately go into a final cutscene.

Whitley laughed next to him, "You fiend."

Penny cheered, "We completed our mission!"

Weiss put her controller down on the coffee table, "Wow, what an incredibly unsatisfying ending. I'm torn on how to feel about this. At least we are finally finished."

Yang agreed, "Yeah, they really did earn those reviews. Man, that was exhausting. You're a scumbag for ending the game like that, Jaune, but I can't be mad at finally being done. I had fun, even if that game wasn't the best."

Jaune placed his own controller down, "Sorry guys. I couldn't take it anymore. We were so close to being done and I really didn't want to end up doing another awful mini-game."

Winter placed her controller down, "I'm happy you decided to put an end to this. I admit, I enjoyed my experience even if the product was not the best. I feel drained. I have no idea how any of you can play video games in sessions longer than two hours."

Penny answered her, "Stimulation! The interactivity of the medium stimulates your processing center!"

"Weird way to put it, but she's right. You kind of get caught up into the rhythm of the game. It's easier if you play multiplayer with others. I don't really play games much outside of online multiplayer or local play with my sister. Speaking of my sister, I should probably go. Have to give her a call to check on her. She's having a sleepover at a friend's house," Yang rambled.

"Thank you for playing with us tonight, Yang. I'll be on tomorrow for a little while if you want to play something. You're welcome to join us too, Penny," Weiss smiled as she spoke.

"I'll probably take you up on that offer. Definitely join us, Penny. Night everyone!" Yang left the call.

Penny spoke next, "This unit shall disconnect as well. Father has assigned me more homework to complete tonight. I will be available for activities tomorrow."

Winter said her goodbyes, "Goodnight, Penny. Remember, you can message me at any point or call me if you need someone to speak to. I am available to you should you need me."

"Thank you, Winter! I will do so. Have a satisfying night everyone! Signing out." Penny disconnected from the call.

Jaune pulled his headset off, "That seemed to go well. I know the game may not have been the best, but I think things went alright."

Whitley shrugged, "I enjoyed tonight. We even learned my dear oldest sister was hiding a fellow 'Remnant Defense Force' fanatic. Winter, you really should introduce her to us at some point. It seems she might need a few friends."

Winter sat up from her chair, avoiding Whitley's gaze, "We shall have to wait and see. I have already informed you, her father is strict on who she can interact with. I can make no promises, especially since I will not always be in Atlas."

"An acceptable enough answer, I suppose. When it is possible, I still would like to meet her myself. I wish to see her compete with Jaune to see who is the better Aerial class player."

Jaune lightly tapped him with his elbow, "I'd welcome the opportunity to prove Valean Wyvern superiority. Yang, seemed nice too."

Weiss nodded, "She has been. I met her while practicing that racing game we have. We have been playing near daily when I haven't been busy with my practice. She's really sensitive about her online privacy. I hope she didn't feel forced into giving us her name."

Winter made her way towards the popcorn machine, "Paranoia normally results from bad previous experiences. Has she mentioned any incidents to you?"

"I mentioned she had trouble with creeps earlier. From what I could gather, someone once looked up her username and used it to find her social media accounts to mass message her. I'm guessing she had to start fresh on all of her accounts to shake off the creep."

Winter froze midway filling up a small bowl of popcorn, "Weiss, do you use different usernames for your accounts?"

Weiss glared at Winter, "I'm not foolish to mess that up! I know what I'm doing. Edelweiss is just my username for the console social application. I only have people I'm close to added to it as well."

Winter breathed out a sigh of relief, "Good! Does anyone want popcorn while I'm over here? I am more than willing to watch a movie tonight if everyone else wants to."

Whitley raised one hand as he spoke, "I approve of spending the rest of tonight on a movie. Genre?"

Weiss blurted out, "Romance."

Jaune grinned, "Horror."

"Action," Whitley elbowed Jaune's side.

Winter brought over two small bowls of popcorn before going back to grab a large serving bowl to place on the center of the coffee table, "Action romance it is."

Jaune put away the game controllers and headsets as he mocked the trio, "Is it too late at night for you three to watch something scary? Shall I tuck you children in?"

"Be quiet, Jaune," Whitley flicked a piece of popcorn towards him as he went to take his seat back on the couch.

He caught the piece of popcorn as Weiss glared at him, "Shut up, Jaune."

Winter nodded her head as she picked up the TV controller, "I must agree with my siblings. You should hold your tongue, Jaune."

He halfway raised his hands in mock surrender, "Fine, fine. An action romance sounds good too. I'll leave the decision of what to watch in your capable hands, Winter."

She did not respond back as he put the piece of popcorn in his mouth. He relaxed on the couch as he waited for Winter to start the movie. He enjoyed himself so far. He needed this, he knew Whitley needed this. One final gathering to spend time together before Weiss went to Beacon and Winter returned to her base in Vale.
