This is my second chapter of Blacksad: Under the Skin
Pairings: Blacksad/Smirnov (Slash)
Rated: M
Smirnov was at a diner owned by La Lguana; he cleaned a mug until he saw the Shepherd. "What would you like, good sir? He asked. "Whiskey, nothing extra" The dog gave his answer. "Eugene" straight Whiskey," He said. "On it," The rhino shouted, and as they were making it, another customer walked in, making Smirnov head turned, a horse named Gill. Smirnov smiled, his eyes scanned over him and quickly took an interest. "I wonder if he's into men? He thought in his head while still waiting. The horse was getting a lighter out as well as a box of cigarettes out of his pocket. He scanned the place out to make sure he wasn't eliciting suspension. "Hey, you coming it or continue to piss me off? La Lguana asked, irritated by him standing at the entrance. Smirnov saw an open seat and didn't want that horse to cause a scene, so he did the logical thing and walked over to him. "Allow me to offer you a spot at the bar," the dog said, putting his arm around his shoulder. He looks at the arm around him, but ignored him and went to dit down. "Thank you, I was about to lose my shit," The Iguana said. "Happy to help" He smiled until he returned to his seat only to see that the horse had taken it. "Ha, best of luck getting it back," La Lguana said, laughing at the shocked dog.
Smirnov adjusted his glasses and walked over as he cleared his throat. The horse was smoking and dumping the ashes on the trey. 'Excuse me, mind if I take a seat there? The dog calmly said, not wanting to trigger his cause from the looks of him, he's got an impressive build. The horse took one look at him, pulled up another chair, then went silent. "You going to finish that? Smirnov saw that he was referring to and was about to tell him to get him own, but he witnessed a gun handle sticking out, so he decided to pass him the drink. Or course, he didn't say anything, took it and started drinking way. The dog just stared at him and looked at La Lguana, who gave him a wink. That was an indication that the horse is a well-known hit-man, and it's best to get to know him quickly. Smirnov knew the cleverness of their bloodline and him being a detective; he had to go about this carefully; one wrong move could seal his fate.
He started by politely introducing himself. The horse took a big gulp and slammed the bottle down. "I am known as Gill; the name strikes fear into people's hearts. Smirnov never figured that it'd be this problematic *he asked for another whiskey* Gill was now eyeing him and gave half a smile. Smirnov paid no attention to him, just focused on drinking. "That look doesn't fool me," He said. "what are you talking about? The dog asked, giving him a side-glance. "Humph," Gill scoffed and got up, then smoked a little, but kept his eye on him. "Interesting fellow," The horse thought. When Smirnov finished, he got up and insisted on paying.
He felt a hand on his shoulder; he turned to see that Gill would pay for them. It wasn't his own money, though, cause Smirnov noticed as he was pulling it out that it belonged to a guy named Jimmy. Gill laid the money on the counter and winked at him then walked out without saying a word. Smirnov was stunned, he intended to do the right thing, but maybe he was too petrified that he just went along with it. La Lguana asked for the dog to come over, so he did. "I am predicting you are having an affair with your wife, correct? He asked while cleaning a mug. When he heard this and remembered his late wife, Eugene cleaned the tables, accidentally shot in the head when he was sneaking out in the dark. The rhino also recalled her position as she died. "I still visit her grave," He thought before shaking it off and getting back to work. Smirnov scoffed and implied he was doing a particular investigation. "yeah, sure...that's what they all say," The Iguana said to him before focusing back on his priority.
Back in the apartment, Alma Mayer was very tired, so she decided to head back to bed. John was sitting on the couch, thinking about his recent rudeness. "What was I thinking? He said while he buried his face in his hands. They were partners for a long time; it tore him apart from the way he treated him. "I don't get it, what drew my usefulness to him? He asked himself. The black cat looked on the table and saw some wine; he smiled cause he figured it would clear his head. He took it and took a couple of gulps down. This was a depressing moment for him since his late wife died in a car accident. "Hmmm, it seems bitter," He said, stirring it up. Suddenly, a silhouette of his supposed lover was standing at his feel. John looked up is was shocked by what he saw, so he rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn't dreaming.
The silhouette reached out to touch him, but John ended up pulling away then smelled something that made him wonder. Believe it or not, it was Smirnov and got calm; the dog tried to touch him again, only to made it easier cause John allowed him too. "Was this a test of my sexuality or a test of commitment? He asked himself. The cat felt its fingers run through his whiskers, making him smile before another silhouette came up behind him.
It was now that he started to feel like this was a mind trick to distract him, so he reached into his pocket to grab his gun until the silhouette in front of him told him to relax and submit, which he did. He was still suspicious, so they allowed him to get up scan the area. "It's clear? He said as a surprised look on his face. He looked up and saw no one, but when he turned around towards the couch, he witnessed that the silhouette was sitting on the couch.
He motioned for John to come and was going to, but he was having a conversation with himself and froze. "I've always been fascinated by women; it comes naturally in most people, gets married, trying to hide their sexual orientation. Some vehemently opposed to the idea, even turning to violence, harming their children, driving them to suicide by homophobic parents, throwing them out. "Was he really considering giving up his heterosexuality for the sake of uncovering this newly found trait? All of this was happening while the first silhouette took off his overcoat, unbuttoning his shirt after loosening the tie. Another silhouette came out of nowhere and immediately started working on his pants. John wasn't sure he this was what he wanted, but he for sure wanted Smirnov. The two silhouettes escorted him to the main one. It got up and looked him over. "Hmm, nice perfect toned ass you got," it said, before smacking it. John smiled
"Smirnov," He said lustfully, now fully naked. He stopped, wrapped his arms around his neck as well as his right leg. The black cat started moaning when he started humping him. The other silhouettes were grinding on his back, their dicks rubbing along the thickness of his butt. John noticed that Smirnov was licking close to his mouth and groped him. He tensed up but was calm by Smirnov guiding him down onto the couch. "This isn't cheating, is it?" He thought as he sat on his knees while the dog was undressed. After that, John didn't have time to admire his build cause; he was pulled into a deep kiss. "No, this can't be real," He said in his mind until he felt a pain on his back. He couldn't see, but it was assumed it was the other silhouettes since no one else was present.
They licked their lips as one got to bareback him. The other just disappeared, but reappeared under John and played with his nipples. John grounds his teeth as he started to feel the pressure.
I love what I did with this chapter, and I hope this makes homophobes understand, and this is directed towards them. John loves his wife but thinks that he'll have none left cause of his obsession with Smirnov. He's going through so much right now, so please be considerate. Since John's rejection, or so he thought, Smirnov took it upon himself to have a drink, but while there, he encounters a hit-man and a handsome one at that, later will form an unlikely relationship.
