The whole Domus Flau was enveloped in a deafening silence. Everyone was simply astounded by the performance of both fighters, who demonstrated such competence that lead to a tie. However, it was the people who know the dragon slayer who was left wondering about the strength he showed for the whole arena to see. They were confused because the usual flames they always associate with him was absent all throughout the fight.

It was without question that the twin dragon slayers of Sabertooth asked several questions inside their heads.

"How? Natsu-san was a Fire Dragon Slayer. So why is he able to use other forms of magic and still somehow keep up with a Wizard Saint?" Sting asked to himself. "Have I really surpassed him?"

Rogue also has the same questions with the white dragon slayer. "Is he really the Salamander of Fairy Tail?"

The questions of other people were as typical as why a normal mage able to keep up with a Wizard Saint, and other things that clearly just showed their underestimation of Natsu, to as much as wondering if there were still some more that he have not showed yet.

People such as Yajima and other people that are knowledgeable of the Magic Council's signature weapon Etherion questioned how Natsu acquired the power of what was supposed to be a mix of powerful magic energies. There are the question about the power of the magic he demonstrated if its full power is as strong as the weapon itself.

Finally, the silence was broken by announcer who just lost his wig from the intensity of the fight. "Everyone, what a great performance from both teams that it resulted in a tie! Let's give it up for Lamia Scale's Jura Neekis and Fairy Tail B's Natsu Dragneel!"

Soon after, the crowd erupted in cheers even though Fairy Tail has almost half of the crowd as their haters. The main purpose of the spectators here are simply to witness an epic and flashy battle of strength and magic. And seeing a fight that leads to a tie just proves how great of a matchup the fight was.

"It's unfortunate that there's a time limit. I personally wanted to see who's the better mage from the two of them."

"I agree with you, Yajima-san. However, we have to abide the time limit rule of the games. So there you go, everyone. Both Lamia Scale and Fairy Tail B will get five points."

Natsu and Jura went to their respective teams, they are both greeted with a surprised expression of their teammates' faces. However, Natsu's team and the whole Fairy Tail's astonishment of his performance.

"So, how did I do?" he asked his guildmates with his signature grin plastered on his face.

"How did you do? You just tied with a Wizard Saint for god's sake!" a member blurted out, along with other members saying things of similar thought.

"Hehe! Too bad I can't beat him at the time limit though."

This time its Makarov who congratulated him for his spectacular performance on the arena. "To be honest, my boy, even though you have all our support, we actually thought you would lose to him. But you didn't. And for that, we're thankful for proving us wrong."

"Ahaha, we still haven't won yet. So save those words when we finally win the games and become the number one guild again!"

This short speech made the Fairy Tail cheer loudly. Even if what happened to the Team A is a bit unfortunate, it did not stop them from having the confidence and determination to conquer tomorrow's games.

The first day of the Grand Magic Games ended with Sabertooth being on the lead. It was followed by Blue Pegasus, Fairy Tail B, Raven Tail, Mermaid Heel, Fairy Tail A, with Quatro Cerberus at the last place.

Although Fairy Tail's performance was far from excellent as far as rankings are concerned, in the spectator's eyes, it was already a massive improvement considering that the Fairy Tail they know was always at the last place. What they didn't know is that they have not yet seen the best this guild has to offer, especially from the two mages who has an opposite magic elements.

The sun was still far from setting. With the events for this day now over, the people gathered at Domus Flau now having their way towards the exit. Some went to their homes and lodgings while some enjoyed the rest of the attractions offered by the capital city.

On a bench near a grilled seafood stall, Natsu, Happy, and Juvia are found sitting there while eating various seafoods on a stick. Because of their whole three months of training near the sea, they grew accustomed to the taste of seafoods, and eating them here reminds them of the fun times they spent at the sea.

"Mmm, raw fish really is the best!" Happy exclaimed while munching down a whole fish in just a few seconds.

"Is that why you told the vendor not to cook yours? Happy-kun is weird." Juvia commented.

"Eh, what's so weird about that? I only like cooked fish when you're the one cooking it."

"Juvia wonders if it was a compliment to her or an insult to other cooks."

This time, it was Natsu who replied. "Don't worry, Juvia. Happy meant it as a compliment. He sometimes like it raw even if Mira was the one serving him."

It is true. Mirajane was known as a very good be cook, possibly the best in the entire guild. That is why most guild members choose to eat at the guild rather than cooking for themselves at their homes or going to some other restaurants. Even Juvia seeks her out for some cooking advise, thinking that it would help her win the heart of Gray back then.

However, Happy and Natsu somehow preferred Juvia's cooking over the others. This made Juvia feel special and has been thankful ever since they asked her to join them on that job.

Looking back on his previous match, Natsu grew irritated of the outcome which is a tie. He got carried away by trying to show off his secondary magics that he failed to finish the fight in his victory. What is worse is that he knew fully well that Jura was also holding back in response to him doing so.

"Gah! I really wanted to beat that potato head!" Natsu shouted, flailing his arms around while still holding a bunch of grilled squids.

"Juvia feels the same way. At least we are not at the last place."

"I guess you could say that. I feel bad for Lucy though, she's the only one who didn't scored."

Upon the mention of her "Love Rival" in the past, Juvia once again felt jealous of her. Back then, her jealousy was kind of unjustified because she always consider all girls that went near Gray as a Love Rival. But now, she felt that Lucy did become her Love Rival for real this time.

Yes, during their last month of training, Juvia realized that she was slowly falling for the dragon slayer. At the first month, she just disregarded the feeling because she thought that she was just getting close to Natsu as friends. However, after spending a lot of time with him, she started wanting his care more and more whenever they became injured from their everyday training. She also noticed herself having that strange feeling in her chest whenever he compliments her cooking.

However, what made her realize her feelings is that she becomes jealous whenever Natsu mentions other girls in his stories, especially when he was talking about either Lucy or Lisanna. This is the feeling that she knew too well that is associated with love.

"You're really an idiot, Natsu. Could you be sensitive for once?" Happy asked his partner.

"Huh? What's with you all of a sudden?"

"You still haven't congratulated Juvia on her performance at the first event. She scored more points than you, you know?"

Natsu being, well, Natsu, it took him a few seconds before realizing that he in fact haven't said anything about how she did at the first event. "Ah! Sorry about that. You did great, Juvia! That counterattack of yours against the smug face of that Sabertooth guy was very satisfying to watch!"

Juvia just turned away from him with a *Hmph!* while Natsu was left confused by her actions. He is aware that he did something wrong to her based on her reaction but he did not know what is it.

"Come on, Juvia. Whatever it is, I'm sorry. You can have this squid as my apology." he apologized while handing a stick of grilled squid to her.

Juvia instanly recognized this kind of behavior. No wonder Happy always offers fish whenever he wanted to cheer someone up or to apologize to them, he got it from his adoptive father Natsu. Sthen realized that she made a fuss over something so trivial. "Ah no. Juvia is sorry for being angry for no reason."

"I really mean it though. That Sabertooth guy was so full of himself so that last attack of yours was a slap to his face."

"Hmm, Juvia admits that it felt good doing it."

She then smiled at him to further assure him that he did not do something wrong to her.

Natsu saw this and immediately felt his cheeks heating up. This always happen whenever he stares at her face for a few seconds. This slightly bothered him during their training as he always leaves himself wide open to her attacks whenever this happens. However, he actually likes the feeling he gets from staring at her.

What they did not know is that there are Fairy Tail members who happened to see them. They were the Team Shadow Gear and other mages who did not participate in the games.

Some of them wondered who was that light blue mid-length haired boy around Wendy's age with a pair of cat ears that was hanging out with both Natsu and Juvia. That boy was Happy in his battle form because it is easier for him to eat a large number of fishes while in the form.

However, what confuses them the most is about Juvia and why was she casually hanging out with Natsu. For all they know, she tends to avoid spending time alone with a boy because she was afraid that Gray will misunderstand something, ruining her chances of winning his heart.

They greeted the three of them, who happily greeted back to their guildmates. From Natsu and Juvia's reaction to them being seen, it does not look like they have interrupted a 'precious' moment that the thought is the case. Thinking that the three of them hanging out was just a mere coincidence knowing that Natsu always grabs the nearest friend he has when he thought of something fun to do, the Fairy Tail mages just left them to go ahead to the bar reserved for them.

But before the Fairy Tail mages managed to leave, Natsu wondered why he have not seen Wendy yet.

"Everyone, have you seen Wendy? She's supposed to be a contestant, right?" Due to his question, everyone suddenly had a downed look on their face. The three took notice of this and asked further. "Hey, you're making us worried here, you know?"

"Wendy is currently recovering from a sudden loss of magic. Porlyusica is currently with her to aid with her recovery so there's no need to worry." Levy replied.

The three were relieved upon hearing that Wendy is now away from danger. However, the fact remains that someone actually harmed her, angering Natsu greater than the rest of them. And from the way some of the contestants acted at the games earlier, he might just have a good idea who did it.

Levy and the other mages went ahead of them at the bar the guild decided to party for the night. Natsu, Juvia and Happy decided not to go with them because they were still processing what they just heard.

"Happy, Juvia, we'll go visit Wendy and Carla right now." Natsu said, which elicited an "Aye, sir!" from the two.

And thus, they went back to Domus Flau where the infirmary for the contestants are located. They hurried too much that Happy just carried both Natsu and Juvia to the infrastructure in a single flight. Now with all his training, It is not a deal at all for him to fly while carrying two persons at once as long as he could have a good grip of them.

They did not even bother asking the front desk about the room Wendy is located because of Natsu's enhanced sense of smell.

"So, this is the room. I can smell Wendy and Carla from here." Natsu confirmed as they looked at the unlabeled door of her room.

"Aye, let's open up!"

As they open the door of the room, they were immediately greeted by the sight of Wendy who was still lying on her bed, a pink haired woman who refused to even take a glance at them, and a scowling white cat who was probably angered by the sudden opening of the door.

After the visitors greeted Porlyusica and Carla, the younger dragon slayer heard familiar voices from her visitors, causing her to wake up from her sleep.

"H-Hello, Natsu-san, Juvia-san, and... Happy?" She wan not sure because the boy's smell and voice were definitely from Happy yet his appearance is not.

"Aye!" the blue haired boy replied.

"Hi Wendy. Sorry about visiting you here late because we just found out about it. How are you feeling?" Natsu asked even though they already have a fair knowledge of what she is feeling right now.

"Just extremely tired. Other than that, I'm now fine."

"That's not true." Porlyusica immediately interjected. "She wasn't just tired because the magic necessary for her body's normal functioning haven't circulated enough yet. She still needs to recover that magic naturally before she could proceed to curing her tiredness by eating air."

They remembered that this happens to them a bit frequently while they were on their training, although it was not to the point of completely draining even the normal magic on their bodies, thus avoiding the same danger that Wendy is facing right now.

To save the trouble of them recovering naturally, Happy decided to explore a bit of using magic as a support because he know fully well how reckless his partner can get. And by that, he learned how to tap to his magic reserves and transfer a bit of them to his target just enough so that they will be away from danger. It was not easy though because it took a huge toll on him on the first month of him using it.

Realizing that he does have the means to help her right now, Happy decided to step in. "I think I can help with his condition."

"If you're talking about giving her a fish, then my answer would be no." Carla said.

"Well, I can give a fish to her later but what I'm going to do right now is to directly transfer some of my magic to her body."

Upon hearing the Exceed's suggestion, Porlyusica thought that it is indeed a solution to Wendy's condition. It was only a shame she could not do it herself because she does not have a natural magic inside of her due to being a human from Edolas. However, as harmless as it is, she knows how difficult is the procedure is and may only lead to his efforts in vain.

"Are you certain you can do it?" she asked the cat in human form.

"Aye! It worked perfectly with Natsu and Juvia so it should also work on her."

After receiving the permission, Wendy was assisted in sitting up so that Happy can put his palm on her back. He then began concentrating, looking for where his magic could safely enter her body. After finding it, he immediately collected his magic and let them flow through his palm to Wendy's back. As expected from a dragon slayer, her body needed a bit more ethernano particles that he turned off his humanoid battle form to supply the necessary magic for Wendy's body.

The procedure went for about ten minutes because the ethernano particles must be transferred to her slowly. Both Porlyusica and Carla were amazed on Happy's new abilities. However, they immediately understood the necessity of him learning the ability due to how his partner Natsu is. As for Natsu and Juvia, they already gotten used to seeing Happy doing it but they still love watching the sparkling yellowish light from the magic that illuminated the room.

"I thought it was only when doing it to Natsu but I guess it's a dragon slayer thing." Happy, now in his normal cat form, said as he sat at Wendy's bed, exhausted from transferring his magic to her.

Juvia immediately took charge of his needs as she handed him a raw fish on a stick because she knows how much he loves it. "Here, Happy-kun. This should help you recover."

"Thanks, Juvia!" he replied then immediately munched on the fish that has been handed to him.

Meanwhile, Porlyusica checked Wendy if the procedure was successful. And successful, it was. Wendy's body is now filled with the necessary magic to function properly. All she needs to do now is to eat air and replenish her normal magic reserves to get back to full health.

"Impressive, the procedure was successful." she commented.

"Really?" both Wendy and Carla asked which received a nod of confirmation from the elder woman. "Thank you, Happy!"

Overjoyed by the well-being of her partner, Carla instantly tackled Happy to a hug, much to the surprise and pleasure of the latter. Wendy also repeatedly expressed her gratitude to the blue Exceed. Seeing the action of the people in front of them, both Natsu and Juvia formed a silly grin on their faces.

"Sheeee liiiiikes yoooou!" they both said in unison.

Rather that their desired reaction, Happy just beamed upon hearing them. "Really? Carla likes me?"

Out of embarrassment, Carla instantly shoved Happy from her arms, much to his disappointment. "Don't push it. Still, I'm thankful for what you did to Wendy."

Now that Wendy is in good health, Juvia remembered that they still have to find out who did this to her. She in particular have suspected a guild that is way too hostile to them than a competitor should.

Yes, she is suspecting the Raven Tail guild. During the first event, the purple blob Nullpuding was so fixated on attacking both Gray and her even though there are other more exposed contestants nearby, an opponent she was glad that she managed to knock him unconscious for the rest of the game. The other display of hostility is when the child of Bisca and Alzack, Asuka was secretly being held hostage by Flare during her fight with Lucy. Luckily Natsu was there to save the child.

However, what really gave it away is that Lucy's magic suddenly vanished while casting Urano Metria, something that is similar to what happened here on Wendy but on a lower scale.

"So, now that you're healed, would you tell us who did this to you." Juvia asked.

"Um, all I know is that it looks like scarecrow with a small monkey-like being on its shoulder."

With that, they immediately recognized the appearance of the said person. He is a Raven Tail contestant Obra. The same person must be also responsible for Lucy's defeat.

"Hm, Raven Tail." Natsu muttered.

"Are you certain of that?" Carla asked.

This time, it was Juvia who replied. "Yes. There is a member of Raven Tail that looks like a strange puppet and he has small black being on his shoulders."

"Even with this new knowledge of yours, don't even try to have revenge on the opposing guild. You know that will only lead to further conflict if you do so." Porlyusica specifically aimed her words to the participants of the games.

Of course, other Fairy Tail mages already knew about the involvement of Raven Tail but they did not specifically told the participating mages because they might lose their temper and try to completely beat up the Raven Tail members that they will encounter, which may lead to their disqualification.

Natsu just smirked and replied. "No, I'm not planning on revenge. I'll just make sure to beat them fair and square in front of everyone at the arena!"

"Hehe, Juvia beat one already. She's on the lead, Natsu-kun!" Juvia added, remembering the spiked blob that went down with just a single hit from her.

"Hey, that's not fair! I haven't faced one of them at the games!"

"Well, it's not Juvia's fault that you didn't participate in the first event."

Their banter did not go unnoticed by the rest of the people inside. Both Wendy and Carla were surprised by the closeness of Natsu and Juvia based on the interactions they have seen from the two. Same as the other guild member's reactions, they are both confused why was Juvia acting this way towards Natsu when she was previously so obsessed with her love interest Gray that she almost avoided all interactions with the opposite gender just so that he would not mistook her flirting with other men.

Well, they were aware of the last time Juvia was rejected by Gray but they wondered what really happened that leads to this development. For all they know, Juvia have not been unfazed by rejection before.

However, there is still the possibility that she just decided to open up more to her guildmates and she started with Natsu and Happy. To be fair, despite his troublemaker exterior, Wendy considered Natsu to be the most approachable and caring person in the whole guild. Maybe Juvia also saw this from him that is why she befriended him.

"That's it, I'm going to volunteer for tomorrow's first event! That way, I could beat a Raven Tail member there!" Natsu said.

With that, another thing was added to Wendy's confusion. She thought that Erza and her teammates assigned by Master Makarov were the participants. They also cannot be her replacement because there are two of them who also participant, not to mention their black attire in comparison to the team's purple ones.

"Um, Natsu-san and Juvia-san, are you both also a contestant for the games?" she asked the two who immediately stopped their bickering to hear her out.

"Yeah, were from the B team!" Natsu replied with a proud look on his face.

"Eh, there's a B team?"

"Yes. Jellal-san wanted to infiltrate the games so that he can investigate about the strange evil magic that they felt. He needs a team so he disguised as Mystogan then we formed a team together with Laxus-san and Mira-san." Juvia explained.

Wendy remembered about their meeting with the Crime Sorciere and about how they felt a strange magic similar to Zeref manifesting during the annual Grand Magic Games.

"So now that you're all healed, I'm going to take my leave." Porlyusica said while getting off her seat. "Hopefully you troublesome bunch won't get this injured again."

"Thank you for helping me, Gra- Porlyusica-san." Wendy expressed her gratitude.

She nodded then left the room, hoping that these humans will not get injured severely and bother her again. However, she knows that was just a wishful thinking of hers so she just sighed in defeat.
