Harry smiled as he felt the warm rays of the sun touch his body as he lay on his back, hands behind his head, and let himself relax as much as it was possible for him to do so while listening to music from his phone.

It had been a few days since the group of multiversal travelers had become guests of the Hellsing Organization, and for the moment they were settling in. There hadn't been any calls or emergencies during that time, allowing the now expanded team to get used to working together.

The Remnant group had mostly stuck together, still trying to cope with the fact that they weren't on their own world anymore. However they'd begun to work and train with the others thanks to Ruby, Penny and Nora taking the initiative and spurring the others forward.

Integra had attended several of their training sessions, studying her new guests and nominal assets, no doubt doing her best to come up with the best way to make use of their abilities, something Harry couldn't fault her for. She was still wary around them, but she wasn't stupid. She could easily see how powerful and useful they were, assuming they weren't the types to bite the hand that fed them.

She was undoubtedly surprised when Alucard vouched for them. It was rather out of character, but she trusted the vampire, so she took his word for it.

Thinking about the things they were doing to settle in Harry considered what came next. The problem was that without any real information there was only so much he could come up with. Cortana reported that the lance would be fully charged for another jump in little over two weeks, which meant he couldn't plan beyond that. Once again he wished it hadn't been damaged, so he'd be able to choose their destination, but unfortunately that wasn't an option. Integra had assigned a few staff to research any such items, but prospects weren't good. It seemed he'd simply have to hope that one of their jumps would lead to some place that had the means to make purposeful jumps.

The research into the increasing vampire attacks was going well enough, though the information they'd been given made Harry shake his head in disbelief.

Nazi vampires with no actual goal other than causing mayhem was a bit out there, even for him. Though he kind of looked forward to fighting them. He really, really hated supremacists of any stripe after his experiences with the blood purists of his own world.

Once the concept of nazis had been explained to the Remnant crowd they understood the importance of fighting them when they inevitably made their move. Blake was especially passionate about it, the nazi dogma hitting her a bit too close to home. Though she did express how depressing she found the idea that racism and bigotry seemed to be a universal constant.

The members of the team who weren't from Remnant had privately discussed whether to allow the teens join in the fight, since it wouldn't be a relatively bloodless battle against soulless monsters. These versions of them hadn't been through the fall of Beacon, hadn't fought in large scale combat like that, and had rarely had to deal with actual people dying, the Breach being an exception.

In the end it had been decided, mostly by Alice, that they should share their concerns with the teens and let them decide what they'd do. Unsurprisingly, all of them had agreed to fight. Even so, Alice was preparing herself to deal with the inevitable aftermath.

To help prepare them the Chief had begun training everyone in squad tactics and sign language, to help supplement their teamwork. They had no idea when those skills would come in handy after all, despite everybody's eccentric combat styles, compared to what the lifelong soldier was used to.

"Harry, do you mind coming back? Garfield said he has something to discuss with you." Cortana's voice suddenly said from his earphones.

Harry let out a small sigh, mourning the loss of his relaxation time. "I'll be right in." He responded quickly before turning off the music and stretching.

Turning around he looked down at the Hellsing Manor, barely visible through the clouds below him. Smiling lightly he shot towards the ground, letting out a whoop of excitement.

As the music played over the credits of Volume Five of the RWBY animated show, the Remnant teens simply sat on the couch of the room they'd taken over, feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted.

They'd spent most of the day watching the show, and after the initial freakout of their lives being a show (something they'd been assured by Cortana all the others who'd had a similar experience had gone through) they'd been on a rollercoaster of emotions.

They'd taken a break after the third volume, mostly to have another freakout over seeing two of their own die and the people they'd been fighting win.

Team JNPR was holding onto Pyrrha and not letting go for an instant, tears in their eyes after seeing her turn to ash, even if it was an animated version. Ruby was doing the same with Penny, remembering that horrible moment at the end of the tournament in their own world, when she thought the cheerful android was dead. Having her there, rubbing a hand on her back, kept her from breaking down completely.

Yang was constantly rubbing her right arm, looking pained, unable to really imagine what she'd feel if she lost it, no matter what she'd seen. Blake sat beside her, looking stricken by what Adam had done in the show, though seeing herself unite the faunus of Menagerie to save Haven had given her a sense of pride that brought a small, brief smile to her face. Though the revelation that her old friend Illya had feelings for her was shocking, and she knew that Yang would be using that as ammunition to tease her once her shock at everything had worn off.

Weiss was frowning heavily. She felt some pride in herself for standing up to her father and helping her friends at the end, but that didn't stop the irritation she felt at seeing her asshole little brother take advantage of the circumstances. He truly was his father's son, and she promised herself that she'd kick his ass up and down the Schnee Manor the next time she saw him.

After the credits ended and the screen was blank Alice and Lara walked into the room, trays of tea in hand.

"Cortana let us know you'd finished watching the show." The younger of the two said, setting her tray down before beginning to pour. "We figured you could use a drink and someone to talk to."

The instant she was sure that she wouldn't spill tea everywhere doing so, Ruby pulled the two girls into a hug, crying softly. "Thank you." She whispered. "Thank you for saving my friends."

The older girls blinked in surprise before smiling softly, patting her back. "We couldn't exactly let things stand." Lara said gently. "Trust me, we know how it feels."

"You do?" Pyrrha asked as she enjoyed being held by her team after the trauma of what she'd seen.

"Apparently I'm a popular children's story on Harry's world." Alice said, pulling a small book with the title Alice's Adventures in Wonderland from her pocket, handing it over to Ruby, who looked it over curiously. "At least up to a certain point in my life, that is. Harry and Garfield came across me one day and took me under their wing." She said with a small smile.

Lara continued serving the tea. "And I'm an apparently rather well known video game character." She said with a smile, sitting down once everybody was served and pouring herself some tea as well. "Harry and Beast Boy had played the games, so they were aware of things I wasn't, which let them save my best friend's life." She took a sip. "So yes, we're well aware of what you're going through."

Everybody drank some tea as they thought that over. Finally Blake was the one to end the silence. "How do you cope with knowing you're fictional?" She asked, a soft frown on her face.

"Are we?" Alice asked, surprised. She turned to Lara, a smile on her face. "I wasn't aware I wasn't real. Did you?"

Lara chuckled. "Cogito, Ergo Sum. I Think, Therefore I Am." She explained patiently at her audience's confused looks. "We're not sure how exactly the mechanics of it all work, and we likely never will, but if our stories were predetermined or directed by somebody else, then Harry and Beast Boy wouldn't have been able to upend them so completely. Or their own, for that matter. It's best to think of what you've just seen as the path your stories could have taken, for want of a nail. Anything going forward is completely up to you."

"That does make me feel better." Weiss murmured, petting Zwei after the corgi jumped onto her lap..

"Take advantage of the opportunity to learn from what you've seen. For example, you now know you're indeed able to summon like your sister, Weiss." Alice said. "That should help you get over whatever mental block you may have." She smiled as she saw the white haired girl visibly brighten.

Any further conversation was interrupted by a scream of pain echoing throughout the manor. "What the hell was that!?" Nora yelped as she practically fell off of the sofa in her surprise, her tea spilling all over the place..

Everybody looked at each other for a brief moment before they all rushed out of the room towards the origin of the ghastly sound.

"Are you absolutely sure about this?"

"For the last time, yes! We don't know what we'll face in the future. I want to have the option in reserve."

"There's every chance I'll break something that can't be fixed."

"I know, I know! You know what they say dude, no risk, no reward."

"...Fine. Ready?"

"As I'll ever be."

Screams began to ring out in the room, the door being broken down shortly thereafter, Lara and Alice in the doorway. "Harry! What the bloody hell are you doing!?"

Harry looked up from where he stood over Beast Boy, Elder Wand pointed at the changeling's head, a beam of light aimed at him as he thrashed and screamed from where he lay strapped to a bed. A bead of sweat trailed down his brow as he focused on what he was doing.

"I'm almost done…" Harry muttered, ignoring his growing audience in order to focus on Beast Boy.

Lara hurried over but hesitated, not wanting to stop whatever Harry was doing prematurely in case that made things worse. Thankfully she didn't have to wait long, the beam cutting out a few seconds later and Beast Boy stopping his thrashing, panting and sweating heavily.

Harry got rid of the bindings holding his green friend down with a wave of his wand, stepping back as he let Alice fuss over the boy.

Lara rounded on him. "What did you do?"

"BB asked me not to tell." Harry said as he stowed his wand before holding his hands up, warding her off. "It was all his idea though. I tried to talk him out of it."

Alice gently tried to rouse Beast Boy. "Garfield, are you alright? What did you do?"

Beast Boy slowly opened his eyes, showing that they were bloodshot and slightly hazy. "Hey Alice… I just… wanted to improve… my combat capabilities… Night…" He let his head fall back and closed his eyes, beginning to snore.

Alice blinked before turning to Harry with a glare that made him take a nervous step backwards. "Exactly what harebrained idea did you two fools come up with?" The mindwalker asked dangerously.

Harry cringed and continued backing away slowly and carefully, wary of the look in the girl's eyes. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you…"

Her eyes narrowed. "Try me."

Harry let out a gulp, and inwardly cursed Beast Boy's insane schemes as he began spilling his guts.

A few days after Harry and Garfield went through their idiotic idea to improve the changeling's combat capabilities Alice let out a shuddering, nervous breath as she arranged things in the room she'd converted into her consulting office. It was time for her first day as the team's therapist, and to say she was nervous was the understatement of the millenium.

She'd been surprised when Harry had brought the idea up during dinner not too long before to have Alice begin putting the skills she was learning to use. She'd immediately protested that she was nowhere near ready for such a responsibility, her skills not even at the level of being amateurish despite the fact that she studied everything she could regarding psychology and psychiatry constantly.

Harry and surprisingly Lara had argued that beginning now would help her skills improve that much faster, and that it wasn't like they had anybody else that realistically could do the job, considering they weren't going to be staying in one place for any decent amount of time, and that their issues and circumstances were so unbelievable to most.

She'd tried arguing with them about the possibility for nearly an hour in which the other members of the team chimed in for and against before she finally folded, agreeing to take over the responsibility only if her 'patients' came to her of their own free will and weren't forcefully pressured into it.

Now, after a few days to center herself and prepare, she was fidgeting nervously as she waited for her first appointment, dressed in a simple yet stylish blue skirt suit Beast Boy and Lara had gotten her as a gift to celebrate her new position in the group. She bit her lip, constantly looking at the clock on the wall, worrying about everything from the look of the room to what she'd say to begin the session.

"Calm yourself, Alice." Cheshire said in her mind, sounding slightly soothing below his habitual amusement. "There is nothing to worry about. You are not going into battle, and your friends will not hate you if you make a mistake or two. This is a learning experience. Use it to make yourself stronger just as you have all other challenges before it."

"Easy for you to say, Cat." She responded as she let out a shaking, almost whimpering breath.

"Relax." Lara said with a smile, looking slightly amused from the door, making Alice jump slightly in her chair at the realization that she'd been so preoccupied that she hadn't realized the older woman had opened it.

"Oh, Lara, you're here…" She said before berating herself for stating the obvious.

"Well, it is time for my appointment." The brunette said with a smile as she closed the door and walked over to the nice, plush couch Harry had transfigured for the office, taking a seat. She looked her new therapist over before smiling ruefully. "You can relax, Alice. We can start out slow to ease you into the job."

Alice let out another deep, shuddering breath. "I don't think the patient is the one that's supposed to calm the doctor down…"

Lara chuckled. "Well, of the two of us, I am the one that's done this sort of thing before. That's why I volunteered to be your first patient, so you can take your time and adjust."

"Thank you." Alice said with a nod and a small, nervous smile. "I do appreciate it."

"Of course." Lara said, smiling as she relaxed in her seat.

After almost a minute of silence Alice cleared her throat, bringing up her notepad and pen. "Yes, well… How have you been coping with our newest circumstances?"

Lara smiled and began to speak, Alice listening intently and taking notes as she asked the occasional question, slowly relaxing. It seemed like a good start, which was hopefully an omen of things to come.

While that was happening, Harry was setting up an extra large 4K television he'd bought in Lara's world for when he wanted to be able to watch videos from his collection with friends. Once he plugged his laptop in he turned it on, checking that everything was working correctly. Then, after pulling up his video library, he checked that the snacks and drinks he'd set out were all in order.

He was nervous, and he was obsessively double checking everything to make sure nothing would go wrong. He felt like a boy going on a first date, just worse, since his actual first date hadn't brought about jitters anywhere near as severe.

Then again, that debacle had gone so catastrophically wrong it was a truly awe inspiring display of teenage stupidity on all sides.

In the end he couldn't put things off any further and he took a deep breath, trying to gather his Gryffindor courage before reaching for the Resurrection Stone and turning it three times.

"This is nice." Teleute said a moment later, smiling as she looked around at the setup. "I'm glad you took my last words seriously, but you didn't need to go so far."

Harry shrugged. "Yeah, well, I didn't want half ass it." He motioned to the couch in invitation, the goth beauty smiling and sitting down, slipping her feet out of her boots and bringing them underneath herself. When Harry sat down next to her she surprised him by leaning slightly against him, making him tense up nervously.

"So, what are we watching?" She asked as she reached over and grabbed a corn chip, bringing it up to her mouth and acting like she didn't notice his jitters.

"That's up to you. I've got mystery, comedy, action, some Disney movies…" He said as he did his best to relax while having a beautiful being of power pressed against him.

"I haven't gotten around to seeing Frozen…" She said slowly.

"Neither have I." Harry said as he reached for the computer. "Though even at Hogwarts it was impossible to get away from the song."

Teleute chuckled as she got comfortable when the movies opening began, the two proceeding to enjoy a relaxing movie night together.

Fun fact, I haven't seen Frozen yet either.

Another setup chapter. Don't worry though, things will get interesting in the next chapter. This is all set before Hellsing Ultimate IV. *grin*

I meant to have this out on Saturday, but once again real life decided to be a bitch, since that very day we ended up putting the family dog to sleep due to a fungal infection that was too far along. I'm not afraid to say it messed me up a bit. *sigh*

So here's to Felipe, a crazy little rescue dog that was around too short a time yet still made us happy. *take a shot*

In any case, I hope to have something else updated by this Saturday.

As always, I'd like to remind you all that you can have a say in what I update by donating to my Pat A Ron. Every dollar equals a vote in that month's poll. And since next month is Holiday Time I'm doing a special poll where the two stories with the most votes will be updated instead of just one. So that's Pat A Ron dotcom /athanmortis.

Thanks again for reading, please review, and see you next time.
