The sun shone down on an empty stretch of Tennessee road as a lizard wandered along it, heading towards a gas station that stood waiting for customers not far from the sign welcoming visitors to town. The reptile moved with seeming unconcern through the overgrown grass by the side of the road, enjoying the feeling of the sunlight hitting his back.
Beast Boy was happy that he was finally close to his target. He'd been dropped about half a mile away to avoid detection, but his current size meant that it had taken him a lot longer to cover the distance than it would have been for a human, much less one of the faster moving forms he could have chosen. Still, stealth was what was required on this mission, not speed.
Since he hadn't had much to do as he travelled, the changeling had let his mind wander, pondering his current situation and how things had changed for him since that fateful day at Stonehenge.
Honestly, even for him the current path his life had taken was insane. Yes, he'd fought hyper lethal assassins, megalomaniacs, alien warlords and demonic gods, but he had never expected to be taking a tour through the multiverse like he was.
He'd actually found the journey mostly pretty fun. He'd gotten the chance to see some amazing things and meet some great people. He'd done what he'd always tried to do and helped people, even if his methods were a bit more decisive than they had been before he'd left his own world behind. Unfortunately some threats simply couldn't be met in any other fashion with resources at hand. After all, it takes more effort to subdue than kill, and many times that simply wasn't an option.
And then there were groups like the damn Nazis of Millenium. He would never regret putting an end to those sick fucks.
Still, he missed the rest of the Titans terribly, even if he was managing to distract himself from that. It was hard to believe it had only been six months or so since he'd left them. Considering all he'd done, all he'd seen, it seemed so much longer.
He wondered how things would have gone if the rest of his team had travelled with him and Harry. No doubt they would have each been a huge help, and would have also mostly enjoyed the journey, in their own ways.
Still, he did wonder if they'd have been able to bring themselves to take lethal action as quickly as he had. While their help would have probably improved things a lot, he wasn't sure how well they would have handled the Battle of London. BB didn't kid himself, he was well aware he was in the lower tier when it came to his place among the Titans. His greatest asset was his versatility, which he'd been forced to explore more and more during this journey. But in situations like that… Well, perhaps his experience in a harder team had served him well. The mere thought of how London would have affected Starfire made him more than glad she hadn't come along.
It was odd, though. For all that he was a low tier Titan, he was now one of the guys in charge of the Unbound, which was a fact that still caught him for a loop often. He was one of the members with the most combat and real world experience, oddly enough. He obviously couldn't even hope to match John and Chief, but the team listened to him when he spoke, and his input was valued. The Remnant teens looked up to him, which just made him squirm when he realized it.
That wasn't to say that the Titans had neglected or ignored him, but that didn't change the fact that the experience gap that gave him his position in the Unbound didn't exist in the Titans, despite his days with the Doom Patrol. Robin had been Batman's protege for years. You couldn't match that kind of experience and training easily.
And he didn't want to disappoint them, any of them. The younger members of the Unbound looked to him as an experienced fighter and hero. They listened to his advice, and often actively looked for it. It had forced him to grow up a bit, being less of a jokester and more of a thinker.
Not that he'd ever want to become as serious as, say, Chief. As far as he was concerned there was no point in living if you didn't enjoy it. So he'd relax, joke around, and hold on to who he was during his downtime, and step up when it was time to.
He wondered how the Titans would take his new attitude and position. Would they be proud? They'd probably be a bit weirded out, at least at first.
He wondered what Terra would think…
The young hero shook the melancholy thought out of his head and focused on his job. He was about to reach his target, and he needed to have his head in the game if he wanted to keep from getting killed.
As he approached the empty gas station he took note of the discrepancies. It looked well cared for and in service, but there was no sign anybody was in there. For that matter, there wasn't any sign of animal life other than him anywhere near it, and he could feel the instincts of his current form scream at him that this place was dangerous and he should run as fast as he could.
He suppressed those instincts with the ease of long experience and continued advancing towards the currently ajar door. A window next to it had a sticker that proclaimed the station to have free wifi, which was a relief. It would make things a hell of a lot easier.
Walking into the building without a care in the world he felt a shiver crawl up his reptilian spine. There was no sound in the building other than the humming of electricity in the various machines, and that was far more than creepy enough, but there was something that was hammering every button in his brain with a mallet. Indistinct movement, a wrongness in the superstructure, things the conscious mind doesn't notice but the instincts do. And Beast Boy had a lot of experience when it came to instincts.
Moving through the gas station towards the counter he could tell he was being watched, and considering the briefing he read on his current assignment that wasn't a good thing. If he messed this up he'd likely be very, very dead very, very quickly, but he was the best choice for the job, which was why he had volunteered.
Moving around the counter, well aware that any wrong move would have him swarmed, he approached the station's modem and router. Strictly speaking he didn't need to get this close to them, hell, it likely wasn't necessary at all, but it upped the chances of the mission succeeding, and considering the fact that success would keep him in one piece, he was very invested in improving his odds as much as possible.
Pausing next to his targets Beast Boy took a deep breath, spotting movements in the shadows in his peripheral vision, small green lights turning on and moving. Then he shifted back to human and scrambled for the device clipped to his belt.
The instant he shifted there was a response, a flurry of metal emerging from every part of the building, thousands of machines ranging in sizes from ants to medium sized dogs rushing him, determined to take him down. Thankfully he was faster, his experience in situations like this coming to the fore, and he immediately hit the button on the small machine on his belt.
There was no obvious response to his action for half an instant, and Beast Boy was sure he was dead even as he instinctively took up a fighting stance to try to protect himself against the onrushing tide of metal death, since he couldn't shift into another form because doing so would interrupt his device's function, and he couldn't afford that if he wanted to survive.
Thankfully he only had to stare his imminent demise in the face for a moment before all the machines stopped, green lights shutting off as Cortana asserted control and made them all collapse. Beast Boy didn't even think about his next action, ripping the device off his belt and leaving it behind to allow Cortana continued access before shifting into a Eurasian lynx and getting the hell out of the deathtrap of a building as quickly as he could.
He'd had more than enough near death experiences for the week, thank you very much. Time to head home, grab an extra large veggie burger, perhaps some of John's expensive bourbon, and collapse in his room.
He didn't even think to look back as he passed the large 'Welcome to Eagleton, TN' sign, just wanting out.
Harry made his way over to Cortana's holotable with a soda and a plate with a particularly large sandwich on it in hand, wanting to have a meal and relax after the rather tiring mission he'd just undertaken. However, Cortana had compiled a briefing about Coil and was preparing plans for them to go over in order to deal with the dickhead, and being leader of the Unbound, he should be there, so this was going to be a working lunch.
He glanced over at the entertainment section of the base, where Alice, Dinah and the team's teens with the exception of Tattletale, Beast Boy, Blake and Harry himself were preparing to watch a movie. Moana, by the looks of it.
When he reached the holotable he found Cortana speaking with Chief and Tattletale, or Lisa, as she'd told them to call her. The now former villain wasn't wearing a mask, allowing her pretty, freckled face to be visible.
Setting his food down on the edge of the table he took a sip of his drink. Before he could speak and begin the meeting, however, the door to the dormitories that had been set up for the teams burst open, making everybody turn to see Blake standing there, face blank but for a worrying twitch in her eye.
"Uh, Shadowcat?" Ruby asked from where she was setting an enormous bowl of popcorn down on the coffee table that sat between the couches and their huge TV.
Blake ignored her team leader and stomped over to the kitchen, opening the cupboards and pulling out a box of matches, then making her way to the small bar they had set up mainly for John's use and grabbing the highest proof alcohol she could find, and finally a solid steel wastebasket that sat nearby. She set the basket away from any furniture, dumped the entire contents of the bottle of alcohol into it, then marched back into her room.
Everybody who had witnessed this glanced at each other, mystified, but Lisa and Taylor surprisingly let out sounds of understanding when the faunus exited her room again, a paperback book with a greyscale image of a necktie on the cover clutched tightly in her hand. When she reached the basket full of booze she dumped the book into it, lit a match, and set the entire thing alight, an unholy glint in her amber eyes that matched the rather disturbing smile that spread across her face.
Everybody in the base was silent as they stared at the sight of Blake, of all people, burning a book, before Lisa shrugged. "That's about the appropriate reaction for a bibliophile to have toward that… thing."
Taylor nodded quickly behind the enchanted domino mask she wore that hid her features from the teenage villains among the group. "Yeah. I should have done something like that to my copy. Instead I just ripped it to shreds and trashed the remains."
When Blake started to chuckle in a slightly unhinged manner Yang made her way over to her and took hold of her shoulders, gently guiding the catgirl to the couches. "Alright Bla-Shadowcat, you've burned… Whatever that was." She said in the tone of someone dealing with a ticking time bomb. "Now come sit down and watch a wholesome family film with the rest of us."
Blake blinked, apparently not comprehending the words, before she nodded and sat down. "I guess…"
Harry shook his head and waved a hand towards the burning can, extinguishing the flames, banishing the ashes of the book, and repairing the thing before making it move back to where it had originally been. Then he turned back to Cortana and the others. "Make a note to replace that bottle when we have a chance, would you?"
"Way ahead of you, boss." The AI said, making a show of projecting a sentence stating just that before putting a checkmark next to it. "It'll be on our next list of required supplies."
"Right. Now then, what have you come up with, Cortana?" He asked before taking a bite of his sandwich.
"Right." Her avatar faded from view, replaced by a map of Brockton Bay, several locations highlighted in red. "I managed to pinpoint Coil's strongholds and infiltrate the systems. He must have hired a coding Tinker to set up his security, because I had a surprising amount of trouble with the software. Kept me out for a full minute and change, which is impressive as hell." She said, sounding honestly impressed.
"I figure Coil's main base is this one." Lisa added, pointing to one near the downtown area of the city. "It gives him access to multiple secondary locations through the tunnels Cortana pinpointed in case he needs to escape or slip into his civilian identity to establish an alibi."
Harry swallowed the latest bite of his sandwich. "And what is his civilian identity?"
Cortana brought up the image of an exceptionally thin african-american man with close cropped, coarse hair, trimmed eyebrows, thin lips and a cleft chin. In the picture he wore the body portion of a PRT uniform with an insignia stitched onto his sleeve. "Meet Thomas Calvert. He used to be part of the PRT's special forces and was a member of the team that was sent in alongside some capes to deal with Nilbog's initial rampage in Ellisburg. Out of the entire force only he and Emily Piggot, the current head of the ENE PRT, survived, no thanks to the capes turning tail and running to save themselves from the monsters Nilbog'd created using the town's residents, leaving the PRT troopers to die." Cortana's voice was cold when she delivered those last details, obviously disapproving, seeing as she was a military AI. Chief didn't look at all happy either, his eyes narrowed and a frown on his face.
Lisa, for her part, was glaring at Calvert's picture with such intensity that it was a surprise that the very air hadn't burst into flame. The sheer amount of killing intent she was giving off would have likely made an S Class cape start running very, very quickly.
"After being honorably discharged Calvert has worked for the PRT as a paid consultant in parahuman affairs for New York, Brockton Bay and Boston, and later started serving as a field commander for the PRT strike squads." Cortana continued. "As you can imagine, this made it easy for him to plant moles and surveillance systems in their network. There's also the fact that he uses his parahuman power to play the stock market, making him very wealthy without needing to have an actual, steady job, which means he can dedicate more time to his cape activities."
"And what is his power?" Harry asked as he took a sip of his drink.
"From what I have been able to determine it is a complex form of corcognition, meaning he can model different timelines and choose the one that is to his advantage. It makes him seem omniscient to his underlings and, even without direct combat applications, is an exceptionally potent ability in the hands of a skilled and intelligent user." Cortana explained.
Harry took another bite of his sandwich as he studied the image of the man that had press ganged Lisa and intended to essentially enslave Dinah. "What can you tell us about him, Lisa?"
"He's very careful." She said, still glaring at Calvert's face. "And I mean careful as in paranoid beyond conventional reason. He made sure that any meeting between us was short and he only focused on what he needed to, to keep me from getting too much information on him or his powers. He's also a smug asshole. He's always convinced he has the upperhand, though he doesn't let it get in the way of his paranoia, paradoxical as that is. And he's ambitious, even though I don't know what his endgame is."
Harry nodded thoughtfully before turning to Chief. "What is your assessment, Chief?"
Chief was standing at parade rest as he studied the display. "Cortana, do you have a blueprint of his base?" When the map disappeared to be replaced by what he requested he studied it for several moments before nodding slowly. "According to what Cortana and Tattletale have said, Coil should only have a team of mercenaries with Tinkertech laser rifles on them. I should be enough to deal with them and then secure Calvert if Cortana can cut off his escape routes." He looked up at Harry. "Are we attempting to capture or eliminate him?"
Harry considered the question before turning his attention back to the blonde teenager. "In your opinion, without letting your hatred of him influence your decision, is he too dangerous to let run free?"
Lisa opened her mouth before closing it, appearing to give it serious thought for a few seconds. Then she made to speak again…
Hannah, or as she was much better known, the Protectorate Hero Miss Militia, opened the door to Piggot's office to find the PRT Director and Armsmaster waiting for her. "I'm sorry for not getting here earlier." She said as she made her way to her customary seat. "What was so urgent?"
"This isn't exactly urgent." Piggot said as she adjusted herself in her seat, trying to get comfortable. "But from the details I've seen it is something we definitely need to go over as soon as possible. Dragon, if you would? I have to meet with the Mayor soon regarding his niece's kidnapping, so we need to make this quick."
Dragon's avatar appeared on one of the screens that hung against one of the walls near the director's desk, usually used for teleconferences and meetings with the rest of the PRT. "Of course, Director. Thankfully this seems to all be good news so far." She then showed some pictures displaying what Hannah knew to be a number of known A rank threats on the other screens, and not just ones based in the Americas. "For the last few days all of these threats have been captured or, in the case of those with Kill Orders, eliminated. For those with bounties on their heads, such as the Dragonslayers…" And if she said those last words with more than a bit of relish she could be forgiven. Saint and his group had been a pain in Dragon's backside for far too long, and Hannah was happy to hear he'd been brought in. "...a card was delivered with them which had a bank account number for the money to be deposited in printed on it. It should be noted that the account is the same one provided for Heartbreaker's bounty."
Hannah's eyebrows rose at the information as she took in the sheer amount of highly dangerous villains that had been dealt with in a short amount of time. "It seems like we have a very competent person or group out making waves." She said with approval. Some of the displayed threats were nothing to sneeze at, and while perhaps not on the level of the Slaughterhouse Nine, were still menaces to society responsible for a lot of death and destruction.
Piggot grunted in agreement, obviously annoyed that it wasn't their people dealing the damage and getting the credit, but otherwise content with the situation. Armsmaster then spoke. "They have become of much greater interest, especially among the Tinker community, after what they managed this morning, which is why we're having this meeting."
"Indeed." Dragon said with a nod. "Whoever they are must have a much better Tinker than me to manage what we just found out they did."
Hannah's eyebrows rose far higher than she thought they could. For Dragon to say that must mean that whoever this was must have managed a very remarkable feat. Even Piggot was looking interested.
"Approximately two hours ago the agents tasked with maintaining the quarantine of Eagleton received an email informing them that the Machine Army had been dealt with and it was safe to enter the town. The email included that same bank account number."
If Hannah was surprised before, there were no words for how she was feeling now.
A few of years ago some unknown Tinker created what would come to be known as the Machine Army of Eagleton, a group of self-replicating, self-enhancing AI machines, which quickly took over the town of Eagleton, TN, beginning to spread out further by infecting and consuming anything metallic they find to make more of themselves. This would be bad enough, but they tended to convert buildings and leave them looking untouched in order to draw in prey they would kill and then use for some unknown reason. Nuclear weapons had been considered for use against the Machine Army in order to stop them, but then it was discovered that they also had interdimensional technology, meaning they could simply flee into a dimensional pocket and ride out the blast and EMP before popping back out to resume their attack.
In the end it had been decided to cordon the area around Eagleton off and station capes that wouldn't mind blasting an enemy on sight to patrol in order to keep the machines from escaping. The fact that said capes tended to be troublemakers with disciplinary records meant it was generally a winning proposition for everybody involved.
"The PRT sent in an unmanned scout to go into the town to see if there was any truth to the message's claims." Dragon continued, removing the still displayed pictures of the various threats which had been dealt with and replacing them with images that actually made Hannah's jaw drop.
The pictures showed multiple collapsed buildings, apparently unable to support themselves anymore. The reason for that became obvious when she saw pictures of a multitude of machines laying still in the streets, having spilled out from where they'd been hiding in the makeup of the structures, many more than the buildings should have been able to hold, no doubt due to their dimensional technology. Then Dragon played a video of the scout approaching one of the larger machines, one the size of a tiger or other large cat, and poking it to provoke a response, as the Machine Army shouldn't be able to hold itself from trying to convert the thing. There was no response.
"Their next step was to send in a small force of volunteer capes to confirm that the Machine Army had actually been deactivated." Dragon continued, showing a new video from what was likely a helmet mounted camera that showed the task force Dragon had been talking about warily wandering through the eerie streets of Eagleton. "There was still no response, even when the capes attacked the machines. It appears that the Machine Army has truly been dealt with, likely by a Tinker made virus which infected their network and shut them all down at once. I'm already devising ways to safely test one of the samples that were gathered to confirm, but as far as I can tell, this is one less threat that we have to worry about." She said with a smile.
Hannah's brows furrowed as she stared at one of the pictures, showing one of the capes holding one of the machines up by a limb, as though it was some game animal that they had just hunted.
"Whoever this person or group is, they are very dangerous, capable, and secretive, since they have not provided any information on their identities beyond the bank account, which we can't look into by law." Armsmaster said, sitting stiffly in his chair, obviously looking over something in his helmet's HUD. "I recommend caution, Director, though we should try to make contact as soon as possible."
Piggot nodded in agreement. "Yes. Watchdog is already working on finding out what their next target might be, since they have a large sample size to get the information from." Before she could say anything further, Dragon interrupted.
"Director! Priority message from Ellisburg!" She said, sounding surprised and urgent. Which wasn't surprising, considering the subject and the person she was delivering it to. Hannah turned to the director, worried about what this could be and what the woman's reaction would be.
The obese woman had stiffened in her seat, a brief look of panic and fury appearing on her face before disappearing just as quickly. Her hands gripped the arms of her chair in a death grip as she turned to Dragon. "What is it?" She asked, obviously trying to remain calm.
Dragon immediately linked all the screens to show a live feed from what was likely a UAV, which showed an aerial view of an extremely wide and deep crater, if the trees on the edges of the image were any indication. The sides of the crater were surprisingly smooth, from what was visible. "This is… what used to be Ellisburg, Director. It's just... gone."
Piggot stared at the image for a few seconds before speaking somewhat raspily. "Any sighting of Nilbog, his… things, or whatever did this?"
"No, Director, just-Wait." The feed zoomed into a corner of the crater, magnifying it to show a series of numbers.
Numbers to the bank account belonging to the group they had just been discussing.
"Son of a bitch…" Piggot whispered, unable to tear her eyes away from what she was seeing. It wasn't hard for Hannah to see the mixture of wariness, cautious hope, and elation in her gaze. "Armsmaster, you better find whoever these people are soon, if only so I can buy them a year's salary worth of drinks." She said, just as quietly.
Before he could respond the entire building was rocked by a massive explosion that almost sent all three of them tumbling from their seats, and Hannah could easily hear more ringing out further out into the city.
Quickly getting to her feet she ran for the window, the green handgun holstered at her hip quickly shifting into multiple other forms in a display of her agitation. When she reached the window and looked outside she couldn't help but gasp. "Oh my god…"
There were plumes of smoke rising from multiple locations of the city just in the direction that the window was facing, and even as she watched another explosion went off at the base of a ten story building down the street from where she was looking. Except it wasn't fire that burst free, but a shockwave that turned everything in an area tens of feet across into glass. The building immediately started to groan and lean, beginning to collapse.
Harry regained his feet after almost falling when the building shook after an explosion that was likely exceptionally close. "Report!" He barked at Cortana, who's holotable had turned into a map of the city, red dots appearing at several locations.
"Multiple explosions throughout the city!" Cortana reported grimly as the team started to gather, the movie forgotten in the background as John and Beast Boy raced out of their rooms, the Undersiders hanging back but watching. "Seven, no, make that ten, wait, thirteen so far!"
Harry studied the map before snapping out his orders. "Everyone, suit up and gather with your partners so I can port you around the city. Search and rescue is a priority, but if you find whoever is responsible, take them down non-lethally. We need to find out where any other bombs are located. Move it!" The team immediately scattered, rushing to grab their gear. Harry then turned to the Undersiders. "Tattletale, stay and coordinate with Cortana. The rest of you, stay put. We don't need Coil grabbing you. That goes double for you, Dinah." He told the girl, who was looking a bit frightened. She nodded and took Alice's offered hand as she was led back to the TV in order to distract her, Zwei and Pax joining her to keep her company..
Grue hesitated before stepping forward. "I get it's not a priority, but could you be on the lookout for my sister? Her name is Aisha. Aisha Laborne. She's thirteen."
Harry nodded, smiling reassuringly at the older teen. "Give Cortana her details and she'll keep an eye out through any security cameras she can get her hands on." His smile widened a bit as he saw Grue relax slightly, pleased he was so concerned about his family. Then he turned serious again and began to create portals to different locations in the city, only for his attention to be drawn back by Cortana.
"There is a large ABB force led by Oni Lee headed for the PRT holding cells. Odds are their mission is to free Lung." Her tone became a bit confused. "Something's not right, though…"
"What is it, Cortana?" Chief asked as he finished putting his helmet on.
"These don't look like regular ABB gangers. I'm seeing several people over sixty, some that look like regular salarymen, and teens only a little older than Dinah. Even if they were part of the ABB, they aren't the kinds of people you'd send out on a mission like this."
"Coercion?" John asked as he walked out of his room, adjusting his armored suit jacket as he made his way back over to the holotable.
"Maybe." Harry said as he created another portal. "John, you and Chief head in that direction. You're best used for direct confrontation rather than search and rescue, and should be able to hand that crowd. Non-lethal rounds for now. We can't go lethal until we have more information."
John and Chief nodded as the former slipped on a simple pair of glasses that were enchanted to keep people from being able to remember his identity.
Within a few minutes of the first explosions the Unbound were gathered and ready to get to work. "Alright people, head to your portal and head out! We don't have time to waste."
Nothing more needed to be said as each pair of teammates rushed through the portal that had their names over it, disappearing into them and getting to work.
Harry let out a sigh as he created one of his own. "Never a boring day in this job…" He murmured before launching himself through.
Yay new chapter!
So Bakuda's bombing has begun. Coil has earned a stay of execution, for now.
I'm glad that most of those who have reviewed have liked the direction I'm going in so far. We are still sticking close to canon Worm, but by the terms of the Worm timeline it is still early days yet. We are going to see some serious divergences start to show up after Leviathan shows up in what I call the Benevolent Show of Force, and its aftermath, which will be a mess for the Unbound to deal with.
Next chapter we will be seeing the Unbound get busy saving people and stopping Lung before the hunt for Bakuda begins. Look forward to that!
I think I've said all that needs to be said, so let's get to the usual notices:
The first is that you can have a say in what I write when you donate to my Pat A Ron. Every dollar donated equals a vote in my monthly poll, and now I've made it so that the votes for the things that don't win in a given month roll over into the next, which is why some fics that haven't gotten much love for a while have been updated recently. So if you want to donate and see your favorite stories of mine updated more often, go to Pat A Ron dotcom /athanmortis. The current poll closes on June 1st, and is a bit special, as you will be voting for three stories instead of just one: A current story poll, a poll to update a fic that's been dormant for a while, and a poll to decide which unwritten story idea of mine gets a first chapter. So get over there and vote!
The next two reminders are more important to me, however. First is that my best friend has a Pat A Ron for their original fiction. Donate any amount you want and get access to some objectively excellent writing (far better than mine, if I'm being completely honest). Their first story, which is a supernatural steampunk detective thriller that I very much enjoy called 'The Curious Investigations of Mister Jonathan Scott', is currently at 18 chapters, the first of which is free, so you can see what his style is like. So if you like, say, The Dresden Files, but want it more steampunk, this is for you. And they've now started another story that will be updated while they build up more Jonathan Scott chapters, this one being a cyberpunk (the genre, not the game) story called 'Tales of Luminous City', the first chapter of which is now also free. And they're working on a third story, this one a space opera (at least from the prologue I've read. Might be wrong). You can find their stuff by searching for Grimm Tales in Pat A Ron. Unfortunately their updates might be a bit delayed seeing as their computer suddenly went kaput, making them lose all their stuff.
I would appreciate it a lot if you could help them out, as unlike me they've had employment trouble due to some disabilities, which this pandemic hasn't helped. Even a dollar to read what they've currently done would be a huge help at this point, cause they're in real need. Hell, if you were thinking of donating to me, give it to them instead. I would honestly appreciate it a lot more.
In fact, if you donate to them instead of me, send me a message through Pat A Ron informing me and telling me how much you donated, and once I confirm with Grimm, I'll take your vote through the messaging system.
Second, my sister has also begun a Pat A Ron. She recently got her Bachelor's in Digital Animation. She's trying to make her own series to post on Youtube, but needs money, so she's making art and plans on accepting commissions. She primarily does tokusatsu themed fanart (Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Power Rangers, etc.), and she plans to let people have a say in what she makes, much like I do. That's at Pat A Ron dotcom /linduarte. (Oh no, now you know my last name! The horror!)
Please keep in mind though that we've been made aware of a bug with the site that makes it seem like you can't donate less than $5. If you don't want to donate that much, to any of us, just put a zero before the number you want to donate, such as 03. That should get you going.
Thank you all for the support, even through the dry spells I've gone through. I promise to try to improve. Till next time!
