Garfield walks into the room and approaches Jon, who is sitting on the couch reading a newspaper.
Garfield (carrying a suitcase): "I want to broaden my horizons, Jon. I feel trapped; my life is spiralling downwards and I need to just break away – see the world!"
Jon blinks.
He blinks again.
Jon (in sudden realisation): "GOOD GOD! A TALKING CAT!"
Garfield (to the audience): It only took him 12 years to notice. That's got to be a record.
