It was another day and another week since the dance, and I couldn't stop wishing that I had told Danny how I felt in that moment as we danced together. I swear, I can be so stupid sometimes. But in a way, I'm glad I didn't. I'm not sure how he would take it and it could ruin our friendship. So in some ways, I just might not tell him.
Anyway, speaking of Danny, I was sitting in the kitchen at Danny's house this fine Saturday morning. Watching Mrs. Fenton work on ghost equipment was interesting since my mom was just a researcher now. My dad was the inventor of the two.
"Oh, my; gosh!" I perked up and looked to the doorway as Jazz jumped in. "They said yes!" We all just looked at her confused.
"Who said yes?" Danny asked sarcastically. "The person you asked if you were a conceded snob?!" I stifled a giggle as I saw him smile at me.
"No," Jazz retorted angrily, but soon went back to being excited. "Genius Magazine said yes! They got my letter and want to put mom on the cover!" She squealed as if she couldn't hold in the excitement. So much for being considered an "adult".
"Genius Magazine?" Mrs. Fenton spoke with a smile as Mr. Fenton grabbed the magazine and looked at it.
"Genius Magazine!?" He then got serious. "Is it the swim suit issue?"
"Dad, Genius Magazine is for woman geniuses, by woman geniuses, and about woman geniuses!" Jazz retorted, making me look at Danny for a moment and then back to the family before me.
"So it is the swim suit issue!" Danny exclaimed as he smile fell. "Oh, gross! Mom's gonna be in the swim suit issue!?"
"It's not the swim suit issue!" Jazz yelled annoyed. "But it is the perfect magazine to show that I have normal parents instead of a couple ghost hunting freaks!"
"They're not ghost hunting freaks," Danny said, sounding bored. I giggled as I ate my apple. I've been eating a lot of those lately. Good thing, too, because I need all the strength I can get for fighting off ghosts.
"Hey, Danny and Briar, speaking of ghost hunting," Mr. Fenton began as he snatched something from Mrs. Fenton. "Check out the latest in ghost hunting technology. The Ghost Gabber!"
"The ghost what-er?" I mumbled to myself, making Danny chuckle.
"Genius Magazine has to be interested in this," Mr. Fenton said again before looking back at us. "It takes the mysterious sound that ghosts make and translates them into words that you and I use everyday. Here!" He then shoved it into Danny's face. "Try it!"
"Uh...uh..." Danny was stammering, making me slap my forehead when he finally said boo.
"I am a ghost...fear me," The device said, making me go on high alert (though I hid it from Mr. and Mrs. Fenton, and Jazz). They all just looked at Danny confused. That had to mean they were all too stupid to realize what the device said was actually true.
"We better get to school!" I said as I hooked my arm with Danny's.
"We better get to school...fear me," The device said, making us both smile as we raced out the door.
"I got a D!?" Danny yelled in shock as he was looking at his test. We were in the library as I looked at my A+ on my own test, but hearing about Danny getting a D kind of put a damper on my mood. "All this ghost hunting is taking away from my study time!"
"So much for the Fentons being a family of geniuses," Tucker retorted, making Danny glare at him.
"I can't get a D in Biology! My parents will kill me!"
"I know the pain," I said with a sigh.
"Not if you pull your grade up by doing an extra credit Biology assignment," Sam started as she turned to the computer and typed in the search bar, bringing up an article about a purple back gorilla named Sampson, "on this magnificent creature!"
"A purple back gorilla?" Danny asked as he looked at the image on the screen.
"Yep. Extremely rare. Only two left. Both male," Sam said as she smiled. "After this, they're gone forever. Which is why you are going to prove that he should be set free."
"Sam," I said with a hand on my forehead. "I totally get the whole saving wild life, but I don't think "setting the gorilla free" is going to fly well with Lancer."
"And I don't have time for extra credit...or your agendas," Danny retorted, making me grin. Glad he agreed with me.
"Actually, you do," Tucker spoke, making me glare at him. Unfortunately he didn't see that. "You just need to learn how to manage it better. I decided to become your time manager! It's the least I can do since Sam made me let all those ghosts out." I heard about that. Danny told me this morning when I showed up for breakfast. And the look on Sam's face was not happy.
Danny sighed. "I don't know," He said.
"It'll be my job to keep you on schedule so you can-"
"How about this!" I exclaimed, making them look at me as I stood up. "Why don't I get the Fenton Thermos and catch the ghosts while you three help Danny! I sometimes feel like you forget I have ghost powers, too."
"I kind of did for a moment there," Sam said with a nervous chuckle.
"Oh, Briar, I don't-"
"Danny, you've always had my back when we were younger," I stated with a smile now. "The least I can do is have your back now when you need it most." Danny grinned over at me before I looked over at Tucker. "And the ghosts that Sam let loose? I thought I was told that you let them out." I smirked as I grabbed bag and threw it over my shoulder. Tucker just growled before looking at his PDA again.
"Yeah! Remember when I let you handle the thermos?" Danny said with his arms crossed.
"Which is why I already made a remember: never let Tucker handle the thermos," He said, showing off that reminder while I slapped my forehead. I'm surprised I'm out not cold yet from all the slaps to the forehead.
"I guess we could have a trial period," Danny said reluctantly. I looked at him like he was nuts, only to receive a shrug from him.
"I also scheduled some zoo time to check out that gorilla!" Tucker said. "Let's go!" He then raced out of the library with Sam following after him. Danny tossed me the thermos, which I caught expertly and stuck it in my bag with a smile.
"You be careful, okay?" He said with worry. "I'd hate to hear that you got hurt because of all this."
"Danny," I began, "that ship has sailed 4 years ago. But I appreciate the concern. I'll do my best." I winked at him before running the opposite way that Sam and Tucker went. I hid in the girl's restroom and changed into my ghost form before taking flight through the ceiling and outside. I immediately saw one of the ghosts Tucker let loose and caught it in the thermos.
"That one was easy," I said with a smirk as I clipped the thermos to my hip. "Now I just need to-" I stopped mid-sentence as my ghost sense went off. "Find the others, which I'm sure just showed up." I turned around and gasped when saw a heavily armored ghost fly out of the school. He had a green Mohawk and a lot of weapons on him.
"Oh, no...not good," I said as I went invisible, hoping this ghost didn't see me. I knew this ghost. I had some run-ins with him back in Ohio. He was looking for rare ghosts to capture and most likely torture. He knows about half-ghosts and what they can do, meaning he wanted to capture me and learn about my abilities.
Here's hoping he thinks I'm still the only one.
"Now which way is the zoo?" He said before looking directly at me and towards the sign that said Amity Park Zoo that I knew was behind me. Well there goes my hope of him not knowing about Danny's powers. This ghost must have seen him the other night. I can't let him get to Danny!
"Hey!" I yelled, getting his attention as I make myself visible. I glared at him with a smirk dressing my lips. "I thought it was me you wanted, Skulker!"
"You! What are you doing here?!" He called angrily.
"I live here! And there's no way I'm letting you hurt that ghost boy!" I quickly formed a ball of blue ectoplasm in my right hand.
"You know, I always thought you were the only half-ghost," Skulker stated as he aimed one of his wrist guns at me. "But it is YOU that is the most rare." I just floated there confused. "However, I'd rather the boy. You are just a pain in the metal now!"
I was still confused. What was that supposed to mean? How was I, who is equal to Danny (by 4 years), rarer than my crush and best friend? I don't have any special powers other than the ecto-rays and...THE MICROPHONE! Could there be something about that microphone that I don't know about? Or could it just be a new power that my ghost form got?
Either way, I just shook off the confusion and threw the ectoplasm ball towards Skulker at the same as he shot his gun at me. My shot hit him in the shoulder while I got hit in the stomach and fell to the ground. I sat up slowly and looked to see that Skulker wasn't there anymore. I looked behind me, but he wasn't there either.
"Great," I remarked as I stood up quickly. "Now a ghost that wanted me is after Danny. Can my 14-year-old life get any weirder?" I took to the sky and flew as fast as I could to the zoo, looking around to see if I can find Danny, Tucker, Sam, or even Skulker. I couldn't let him get Danny. I couldn't let him get hurt! It didn't take long until I noticed Danny closing the cage to the gorilla exhibit while in his ghost form.
"Danny, I meant to tell you," I heard Sam start. "There was a gho-"
"I wonder who let the gorilla go...Sam!" Danny exclaimed as he glared at her.
"Yeah! Wait until we tell everyone at school that you let out a 400-pound gorilla!" Tucker exclaimed with a mischievous smirk. But it didn't last long since Sam held up a Polaroid picture, showing that Tucker and Danny fell asleep and were snuggling. I couldn't help but giggle at that.
"Or we just keep it our little secret," Danny retorted.
"Yeah. We don't have any real proof she did it," Tucker said as Danny agreed with a no.
"Danny!" I called as I raced down to my friends and wrapped my arms around his torso. I'm sure I surprised him with this gesture. But I didn't care at this moment. I just needed to be in his arms.
"Briar, what is it?" Danny asked worried as he pulled me away and placed a hand on my cheek. "What's wrong? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," I said before grinning at him. "I'm just glad you're okay."
"Why wouldn't he be okay?" Tucker asked as I heard Sam slap her forehead. Welcome to my world, Sam. Welcome to my world.
"Did you guys not hear all the commotion up there?!" Sam yelled. "A ghost was here!"
"What?!" Danny exclaimed. "I thought I felt my ghost sense go off."
"I'm just glad he didn't get to you!" I yelled. "He told me himself he was after the ghost boy! That's you!"
"Great...another thing keeping me from studying and homework," Danny said dejectedly.
We made it back to Danny's house early the next morning, seeing the journalist from Genius Magazine talking to Mrs. Fenton. She took one look at Danny and didn't seem too happy.
"Danny, look at you!" She exclaimed. "I'm not so sure I like this overnight zoo research."
"Mom, come on! We're just a bunch of kids...in the zoo...at night...alone," Danny retorted, making them all look at us with wonder. "We'll be in my room." He then headed up the stairs with Sam and Tucker following behind.
"We'll be in my room...fear me," The Ghost Gabber echoed, making me giggle as Jazz took and hid it under a pillow. I was about to follow my friends up the stairs when my ghost sense went off. How Danny's didn't is beyond me. But if something was in this house, I had to go ghost to protect Danny.
I quickly smiled over at Mr. and Mrs. Fenton, even Jazz and that reporter, before rushing into the bathroom and closing the door behind me. I know this was a bad idea as I changed into my ghost form, but where else could I go to transform?
I quickly went intangible and phased through the ceiling. I went invisible right after when I saw Danny, Tucker, and Sam walking towards Danny's room. I flew passed them quickly before phasing through the door to the teen's room and stood my ground. I went visible again as I looked around, waiting for something to show it's self.
And Skulker did.
"How did you get here so fast?!" He asked as he shot a net at me, but I dodged it quickly and threw an ectoplasm frisbee at him, hitting him and sending him flying.
"I'm his friend," I stated. "Of course I'd be here when you'd show up!"
"You know," Skulker began as he stood up, "that knowledge just might be of use right now." He threw an ectoplasmic boomerang at me, making me duck quickly and stand up...only to have it hit me in the back of the head and knock me out.
~DANNY'S POV~
"Here we go, Danny," Tucker began as I just looked at my door with exhaustion, "Home in time for some well deserved rest." His PDA went off right at this moment, making him look at it to see what it said. "But, keep it quick. Because you've got 13 minutes."
"Uh, where's Briar? Wasn't she with us?" Sam asked as I looked behind us. She could have gone home, or maybe she's in the bathroom downstairs. But I didn't have time to think of where she was since my ghost sense went off. I turned to my room, opening the door slowly as I looked around for a bit.
That's when the ghost appeared before me in my doorway.
"Hello, ghost child," He said before catching me in a net and pulling me into my room, before closing the door behind us.
"The human ghost child in his natural habitat," The metal ghost said.
"Who are you?!" I asked.
"I am Skulker," He began, "a collector of things rare and unique. And you, ghost child, are that and more." He laughed evilly as I heard a groan from the side. This made me look over to see Briar on the ground and out cold. She must have sensed him before I did. She was in her ghost form and looked to have been doing her best to recover.
"Briar," I mumbled her name before looking up at Skulker. I watched as he stomped on my model rocket.
"Hey! My rocket! I built that!" I yelled out of anger.
"Pity," Skulker began, "I expected you and your ghostly companion to put up more of a fight."
"She can't right now," I began, as I changed into my ghost form and got out of the net with ease, "but I will!" I flew at him at full speed and punched him into my wall. He growled with a smile as he shot some of his weapons at me. I managed to dodge some but one was going right towards Briar. I quickly scooped her up bridal style and flew out of the way, right as the missile hit the spot she was in.
I held her close as I looked at her face, seeing how peaceful she looked while she slept. I don't know when she would wake up, but I couldn't fight with her in my arms. So I flew to my bed and placed her there gently, right as she reverted back to her human form.
"Oh, man...that can't be good." Right then, I got grabbed was sent through the floor into the kitchen, breaking the table in the process.
"Come, ghost boy," Skulker began, "time to see your new home." He then grabbed me and went through the floor to the lab. He held me up by the neck as I tried to struggle out of his grasp.
"What are you doing?!" I yelled with anger, but mostly worry for Briar's state. She might be hurt pretty bad.
"Bringing you back to my world so I can put you on display," He answered with a wicked smile before pressing a button on his arm to open the portal.
"What?!"
"At last! Time to put you in your cage," Skulker exclaimed as I struggled more to get free.
"NOOOOO!" I screamed right as Sam raced in and was in front of the portal now.
"No is right, Danny!" She yelled. "Cages are wrong! How do you think Sampson feels being in a cage?!"
"But-"
"He's a beautiful animal and deserves to roam free!"
"I-"
"Should be ashamed!" This was the perfect distraction as I was able to kick Skulker away and break free from his grasp. He almost landed on Tucker who lost his glasses and PDA.
"Thanks for that, Sam," I said quietly.
"No problem, Danny," She returned before I noticed Skulker grabbing Tucker's PDA and looking it over.
"That technology is so sleek, so advanced," He said before looking at something on his wrist and smirking. "I wonder." He took off his old equipment and put Tucker's PDA on in it's place.
"Hey! I had 3 more payments on that!" Tucker yelled as Skulker just swatted him away. I had to stop him. I did my best to fly in and take that PDA away from him, but he pointed it at me and shot a green stream from it. It ended up hitting me and making me hit the wall beside the portal. And when I opened my eyes, there were two green glowing cuffs that were binding my hands and feet together.
"Way to go, Tucker," Sam began, "you just made the bad guy more bad!"
"How was I supposed to know my PDA was ghost compatible?" Tucker said as Skulker walked closer to me.
"Say goodbye to this world, child!" He yelled as I braced for impact...but it never came. I looked up confused as I saw Skulker looking at Tucker's PDA. "What? Fly to library? Get a book on the eating habits of the purple back gorilla?" That's when his wings came out and he took off. "No, stop! The hunt is not over!" He yelled before going intangible and leaving the house. It didn't take long after for my restraints to disappear as well.
"What happened?" Sam asked as she helped me stand up.
"Who cares?!" I retorted. "At least I got a minute to relax and figure this out."
"Danny, where are you?!" Mom called. "Somebody here wants to meet you."
"GAH! My room!" I quickly went intangible and flew through the ceiling, finding myself in my room again and quickly reverted back to my human form.
"Danny," Mom began as she opened my door, "this is Connie, from Genius Magazine!"
"Don't you people ever knock?!" I exclaimed as I slammed the door in front of them and quickly turned around. "Jazz is going to kill me for that." I then perked up when I noticed Briar still on my bed and passed out from her fight with Skulker.
"Briar!" I raced on over to my bed and sat beside her, worry clearly present on my face. "Briar, can you hear me?" I took her hand into mine, hoping that maybe my touch would jolt her awake. I am pretty cold now that I'm part ghost. But sadly, it didn't.
"Briar, come on. Wake up!" I heard someone knock on my door at this and looked to see that Sam and Tucker rushed on up.
"Oh, my; gosh! Briar!" Sam yelled as she raced on over and checked her wrist for a pulse I'm guessing. Her sigh of relief told me it was still there. But also the sound of Briar groaning made me look back at her.
Her brown eyes fluttered open as she saw us all around her. "Danny?" She spoke as she grabbed her head.
"Yeah, I'm right here. Are you okay?" I asked as she sat up some.
"Yeah, I should be. Man, what's with me and hitting my head?!" She exclaimed, making me chuckle. Yep...same old Briar. "Only this time, it was a ecto-rang from Skulker!"
"You know Skulker?" Sam asked with surprise.
"Yeah," Briar answered. "Ran into him back in Ohio. He tried to capture me back then but gave up when he never could."
"That doesn't sound like Skulker," Tucker said with caution.
"Tucker," I began to scold when I felt Briar squeeze my hand to stop me.
"He gave up quickly back then. Not so sure he will now, though," Briar retorted, making me sigh as I watched her grab her head.
"Maybe we should get you home so you can rest," I said as I helped her stand up from my bed.
"Danny, I'm fine," She tried to reassure. "I'm stronger than I look."
"Please...for me," I watched as we stared at each other for a moment, brown eyes meeting my blue ones. I could feel my cheeks warm up as I scratched the back of my neck nervously. I have to admit, she's becoming a pretty...no...beautiful girl. I almost think she could put Paulina to shame. And I think I might be forming a small crush on her.
But I don't want to ruin our friendship.
Briar's giggle brought me back from my thoughts as I watched her nod her head, saying that she would get some rest after this battle.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow, then," She said before changing into her ghost form and flying out the window.
~BRIAR'S POV~
The next day I felt like a brand new girl, ready to take on any sort of problems that come my way. And the one problem I was focused on was protecting Danny from Skulker. He may have had the upper hand the other day, but I was sure as heck ready for when he attacked again.
"Any sign of him?" Danny whispered as I walked on over.
"Nope," Tucker retorted. "He hasn't bothered you for 38 minutes. Maybe he's hunting somebody else now."
"How many of those things do you have?" Sam asked as I just stood there, waiting to be noticed.
"Just two," Tucker answered. "Good thing I beamed all your info in here and backed it up. Global thinking, Danny! The sign of a quality time manager!"
"Oh, yes. What a great time manager," I said with sarcasm, finally getting Danny's attention.
"Briar! How are you feeling today?" He asked, making me smile at him.
"I'm fine," I said. "Took an aspirin and I'm ready to go." It was this moment that Tucker's PDA went off, saying to go to class.
"Come on! You're late!" Tucker said as he pushed Danny into the school, making me roll my eyes as I walked into the school as well, stopping in the doorway and looking behind me. I had to keep my eyes open.
Danny meant everything to me.
Class had just ended and we were heading over to our lockers (mine was not that far down the line from Danny's). I went over to mine and opened it, setting my text book inside right as I heard Danny yell. I spun around to see Danny chained up with ghostly chains.
"Danny!" Sam, Tucker and I yelled as I changed into my ghost form and flew towards Skulker who was right there now.
"I have you now, chi-" I slammed right into him, making him fly back away from Danny and landed not far from my friend.
"Forgetting someone again, Skulker?" I quipped with a smirk. Skulker looked at me growling before Tucker's old PDA went off on his suit. I watched as he looked at it and read out loud what the alert was.
"Go to newstand and purchase magazine with article about purple back gorillas?" He then flew away without a word, making me look on confused.
"What just happened?" I asked as I looked over at Danny and watched as the green chains around him disappeared.
"Hm, I have the same thing on mine," Tucker said as he looked at his new PDA.
"I think we'll blow that one off," I said as I changed back to my human self.
"Danny, eat something," Sam said as we sat on the bleachers during lunch. I could see why Sam was worried since Skulker was still going after Danny. And to be honest, I wasn't eating anything either. I knew how ruthless Skulker was. Though he did give up quite easily back then, I'm surprised he was willing to do anything to capture Danny.
And I was willing to do anything to stop Skulker.
"Hey! This food was scheduled to be eaten!" Tucker exclaimed as he grabbed the carton of milk and opened it. A glowing blue electrical ball came out and attached itself to Danny's face, making me jump into action as Skulker appeared behind us.
"Now, boy," He began as I got into a fighting stance, "once again, I, Skulker, shall-" I'm sensing a pattern here as the PDA on Skulker's suit go off once more. "Take photos of gorilla?" He was off once more as the blue sphere disappeared from Danny.
"Well, that time I didn't need to transform," I said with surprise.
"At least he's regular," Sam stated.
"Yeah," Danny agreed. "Almost like a schedule. What's the next thing you have scheduled for me, Tucker?"
"Gym. Why?" I noticed that look on Danny's face and knew immediately what he was thinking.
I was walking out of the locker room in the gym when I got grabbed by the arm by Danny. Tucker had Sam. "Whoa! Stop! Where's the fire?!"
"No time to explain!" Danny yelled. "Come on! We're going to the zoo!"
"What happened?" I asked Tucker who just smiled at me.
"Skulker almost got Danny in the locker room just now," He answered, making me look on with concern. "But he had Dash open the locker instead and he got trapped instead."
"Nice thinking," I said with a smile to Danny, earning a smile back. "So, what's the plan to stop Skulker?"
Danny and I were hiding off in the viewing tower in our ghost forms, waiting for Skulker while Sam and Tucker wore a disquise to draw him out. Danny was watching with binoculars while I leaned against the window, back to it, arms crossed. I couldn't help the beating of my heart in my ears as I stood there. It was the first time since I first came back that I was alone with Danny. Yeah, we live across the street from each other, but that doesn't mean we spend every hour together unless we're at school or fighting ghosts.
Oh, wait...that is every hour of every day.
But that's usually when Sam and Tucker are around. And yeah, they are around now, but further down in the zoo. So this is just me and Danny in a room alone together. This could be my chance to tell him how I feel. I looked at him from my spot, seeing how tensed up he was right now.
Or maybe not.
I sighed as I looked away and decided to wait for the right moment to attack when...
"There!" Danny yelled as he made me turn around and look to see Skulker in the tree above Sam and Tucker. "You ready to fight?"
"Always!" I exclaimed, making myself seem more enthusiastic than I was. Hiding your feelings takes a toll on a person, you know! We flew through the window and stopped close by to get ourselves ready just in case.
"You were supposed to be the bait, you stupid animal!" Skulker yelled, making Sam and Tucker turn around to yell at him.
"Sampson is not stupid!" Sam yelled.
"He's also not here," Tucker said as well. "May I take a message?"
"You two! You'll pay for this!" Skulker went to shot Sam and Tucker with his weapons when Tucker pressed the send button on his PDA, making the on on Skulker's suit go off.
He looked at it. "Time for push-ups?" His weapons went back to their spots and he started doing push-ups on his own. He kept yelling for it to stop when Danny and I flew in together.
"We can help with that!" Danny yelled as we flew in and Danny punched Skulker away, making him hit the cage wall. I flew up and kept punching his face and letting some bolts fly.
"That's for almost hurting my friend!" I yelled with anger as Skulker hit me away and made me roll on the ground away from him.
"Br...I mean, Stardust!" Danny yelled as he raced over to me and stood in front of me to protect me.
"No, Danny," I said as I sat up.
"You've been protecting me the whole day," He said. "It's my turn to return the favor." I grinned before hearing one of Skulker's weapons get aimed at us. I looked over with worry and I noticed Danny just looked angry at him. It didn't take long for two fuzzy brushes pop out and start polishing Skulker's armor. You can probably guess that I slapped my forehead because of this.
"Stop fooling around, Tucker!" Sam yelled as Danny helped me up.
"Power him down already," He yelled.
"NOW!" I yelled myself.
"Relax! Everything is totally under-" Just then, one of Skulker's arrows shot out and hit Tucker's PDA away from him, sticking it to a tree. "-control? Ah man! I had four more payments on this one!"
"Tucker...you're fired," Danny said making me sigh with relief. Any more of Tucker being Danny's time manager and I was going to strangle the kid.
"Very well," Skulker said. "I planned on simply capturing you and letting you live the rest of your life in a cage. But now, I will rest your pelt and the foot of my bed!" I almost gagged at that.
"EW!" I yelled.
"Yeah, that's just gross," Sam said in agreement.
"Well, ghost boy? Any last words?" Skulker asked.
"Just this," Danny said before standing straight. He pat his head, did a peek-a-boo motion, banged his chest and...
"What are you doing?" Skulker asked confused...as Danny scratched his butt.
"I'd like to know that, too," I mumbled to myself.
"Calling a friend!" He said right as Sampson the Gorilla came in and started pummeling Skulker.
"You learned his language?" Sam asked impressed.
"Well, sure," Danny answered. "All he does is this." He continued to scratch his butt.
"Okay, that's enough," I said a bit weirded out. "Man, the things you miss when you're on your own mission."
The gorilla was pulling apart the battle suit one by one before the head landed in Danny's hands, with little green legs sticking out from under it. "Let me go! I'm the Skulker! THE SKULKER! Do you hear me?! Fear me!" Danny pulled out the little green ghost and we all gasped in surprise. Skulker was actually just a little booger.
"I am the greatest hunter in all of ghost world! You will all fear me!" He yelled, as Danny just smirked.
"Thermos please," Danny said as I handed opened the thermos and let him the blue beam suck Skulker up.
"You haven't seen the last of me!" He yelled before getting sucked into the thermos and I capped it.
"Cool," Danny said as he landed on the ground as human self. I reverted back as well as I held the thermos for him. "Let's go home."
"But you didn't get anything you could use for your report!" Sam exclaimed. "You're still going to get a D!"
"Ah, that's okay," Danny stated. "We stopped the bad guy, saved the gorilla. If that's all that I got done, then that's...OH MY GOSH!" He exclaimed shocked as I looked at the gorilla myself.
I was looking at the magazine while sitting outside the classroom, reading over the article of Danny. It turns out that Sampson was actually a girl and no one in that zoo never dared to look. How weird is that!? But because I had a free period at this point, I figured I'd wait in the hall for my friends. It was better than going to the library right now.
I closed the magazine as the bell rang and stood up, hearing Danny was angry about something. So I raced in to see him fighting the Box Ghost (Tucker told me about him) getting his butt handed to him thanks to Danny's anger.
"What happened?" I asked with worry.
"Danny got a C, even after all he's done to get this report done," Sam answered with a sigh. I sighed as well as I watched Danny.
The Box Ghost flew past me as Danny followed it, stopping when he saw me. I grin at him as I place a hand on his arm. "It's alright," I said. "There's always the next report."
~THE END – END OF CHAPTER 3~
