As Legoshi handed off Ventress to some clone troopers approaching him, he requested that he "speak" with her in the interrogation room they were bringing her to.
Legoshi thought that since Dooku was a Sith and Ventress is also a Sith, he could study her Ki and be able to use it as a reference to find Dooku.
While normally you would need to be a high ranking official or have permission from one to speak with a prisoner, especially a high priority one like Ventress, none of the troopers wanted to impede someone like Legoshi, who caught her with ease in the first place, from his requests.
Ventress was brought into a small room with a desk and two chairs. The room was bare of color or any other distinguishing features that was bared off by a energy screen that acts as a door. Legoshi entered the room behind her and sat across from her.
Legoshi held up his head with the backs of his hands underneath his mouth as he just stared intensely at Ventress.
"Are you attracted to me or something? I'm sorry but I'm not into dogs, especially ones that bite as hard as you do." Ventress mocked after a minute of being stared at.
Legoshi was startled by the comment, but quickly regained his composure.
"No. I'm studying your life force since you are a Sith. Dooku is also a Sith, I have been told. So, if I study your life force, or Ki as I call it, then I should be able to quickly track him down and capture him. I am actually almost done taking in your measure and committing it to memory."
Ventress was confused at first, then concerned for her master's safety, since even he could not make her be as helpless as this being in front of her did.
"What are you? You are certainly no Jedi. What do you have to gain from all of this? Did they pay you with credits?"
"What's credits?" Legoshi asked confused.
"Money… is that what you are after? I'm sure that the Separatists can offer you more for your services if that's all you want."
"What use is money to me? I certainly don't have any use for it. As to what I am, I have no reason to tell you other than I was hired to end this war. And yes, I am not a Jedi."
"Then what is it that you want from them?!"
"Training mostly. You could possibly offer me the same thing, but in all honesty… I don't agree your ethics and morality if your life force is anything to go by."
Ventress looked confused and curious at Legoshi
"What training could the Jedi offer someone as powerful as you?" She asked with genuine curiosity.
"Training of the mind and body that I currently cannot do and that is all you need to know."
Ventress leaned back in her chair as Legoshi closed his eyes for a few seconds before opening them back up and smiling.
"Thank you Ventress. You have been a great help to me in achieving my goals in a quick manner. Now let's see…" Legoshi thanked as he closed his eyes again.
Legoshi lifted his right hand up and extended his pointer finger.
"One." He said as he pointed up and to the left.
"Two, though this one feels broken." He said as he points down and further left.
"Three." He said as he points directly behind himself.
"And… Four?" He said as he opens his eyes, looks at Ventress and points to the right and up.
"What?" She asked as Legoshi stares at her for a few moments.
"Do you have any siblings who are also Sith?"
"What are you talking ab…" Ventress was about to answer.
At first, she didn't understand what it was he could be sensing that felt close enough to her that he thought she had a sibling, but her mind soon brought up images of Dathomir and Mother Talzin.
"They have nothing to do with this war. Leave them out of this!" She warned in a low growl.
Legoshi was impressed by her bravery to talk to a destroyer like that. This also meant she was most likely telling the truth and trying to protect something dear to her.
"I'll tell you what. If you promise that you will behave and not make my job any harder by escaping or helping your allies in this war escape, then I will promise you that they will be left alone even if I must use my power to make it happen."
Ventress could not sense anything in the Force about Legoshi and therefor could not tell if he was lying or not, but given the circumstances, what choice did she really have.
"Very well. I agree to your terms. I will be a good prisoner if you ensure their safety." She agreed with her head lowered in defeat and small desperation.
Legoshi smiled at her and held out his right hand.
"It's a deal then."
Ventress took his hand with her shackled hands and shook it once before letting go and sitting back down.
Legoshi stood up and left the room. He turned to the trooper that was standing to the left of the door.
"She has been of great help to me. Make sure she is well tended to for her cooperation."
"Yes sir." The trooper nodded.
Legoshi then left the building and flew out of the star system.
On Serenno, less than a minute later:
Dooku was sitting on a grey tall chair with a split in the middle of it reaching the top. The room he was in was long and tall that was dimly lit in a dark green light coming from a large, green window behind him. A large, acute angle shaped desk/computer terminal was in front of him.
Dooku was speaking to an old, robed man through a hologram projected through the terminal in front of him.
"My master… both Grievous and Ventress have both been captured."
"Yes, I have been told as much. This places the plan in great peril. I have not acquired enough emergency powers yet. Strange that I could not sense what captured them." The old man answered.
Dooku pondered for a moment.
"Master, I have a guess as to what, or who did this… It was most likely the anomaly I told you before… This Le.." Dooku was about to speculate.
Suddenly the front door of the room flew past his head and through the window, shattering it into pieces on the moment of contact. As Dooku got back up from under his desk, both he and his master saw Legoshi standing a foot in front of the desk.
"I was knocking on your door, but you didn't let me in, so I decided to let myself in." Legoshi stated.
Neither Dooku or his master could sense Legoshi even as he stood in front of them.
"Legoshi!?" Dooku said in utter and hushed surprise.
"So this is the anomaly that is getting in our way… how interesting." The robed man said.
"So Dooku… care to introduce me to your friend here?" Legoshi asked, gesturing to the hologram.
Dooku pushed the main screen on the console and terminated the connection.
"Nothing you need to know. How the Hell are you here?!" He asked in surprise with a bit of anger.
"Easy… I sensed you. I can guess that the old man I saw you talking to is one of the others I felt as well… so I guess I will go visit him next and very soon… but you don't need to worry about that." Legoshi answered.
Dooku used the Force to throw his chair at Legoshi as a distraction. Legoshi easily caught the chair and sat it behind Dooku and sat in it before Dooku fully turned around to run out the broken window.
"This is a good chair. Why would you go and waste it?" Legoshi asked sincerely.
Dooku was startled for a moment, but his fight or flight response kept him focused on trying to escape. Dooku shot lightning out of his hands at Legoshi. The lightning struck Legoshi and bounced off him harmlessly like light off a mirror. Legoshi slowly walked towards Dooku in a casual way as if to insult Dooku's pitiful attempt to harm him.
"You are not being very hospitable to your guest." Legoshi criticized Dooku.
Dooku kept shooting lightning from his left hand and grabbed his lightsaber with his right, ignited it, and stabbed at Legoshi. Legoshi blocked the blade with the palm of his hand and pressed his palm onto the top of the lightsaber, effectively shutting off the saber even though it was still ignited.
With just a tap of his pointer finger, Legoshi reduced Dooku's Lightsaber to ashes instantly.
"Ready to surrender?... please say yes." Legoshi asked, not wanting to draw this out.
Dooku was sweating in fear now as he was quickly running out of options. He is loyal to his master, which he considers a black hole in the Force, but this being, this Legoshi, was proving to be beyond that with how effortlessly he was countering him.
In a last-ditch effort, Dooku tried to force push Legoshi out the window, but his hand was grabbed and pointed to the side, making him miss his target. A gold aura began to surround Dooku that was not his own. The aura forced Dooku onto his knees and paralyzed his arms as Legoshi still held him by his right wrist.
"Now you can either surrender in a dignified way or I can just knock you out or bind your limbs together." Legoshi pointed out.
"*Heavy breathing* what are you." Dooku asked.
Not even Darth Sidious himself made him feel this helpless, even though Legoshi was not torturing him like his master has.
"Simply put… I am a being on a world you will never know." Answered in a neutral tone.
"I…*Heavy breathing* yield" He groveled.
"That wasn't so hard… was it?" Legoshi said with a smile.
The gold aura condensed into circular bindings around Dooku's hands that pulled themselves together.
"Now don't go trying to run away now… it will do you no good for yourself." Legoshi warned in a weirdly friendly tone of voice.
Legoshi brought Dooku outside and placed him in a blue sphere of energy.
"This will protect you from the ravages of deep space… no need to thank me." He said as he took off and out of the planet.
Dooku was in awe at Legoshi's display of abilities, being able to fly at speeds faster than any hyperdrives with just his power alone, along with flying in deep space with no protection with ease. He thought that he had made the best choice for himself by surrendering rather than keep resisting a being this clearly powerful.
Legoshi returned to Kamino and to Ventress' cell. The troopers that saw Legoshi all stopped what they were doing and turned to look at him as he casually walked with Dooku, the leader of the separatists, in toe behind him to the detention center. Legoshi stood in front of the cell next to Ventress.
"Master?!" Ventress said in stunned confusion.
Dooku did not answer or look at her, but she saw how defeated yet curious he looked.
"Do keep an eye on him. I don't want to hear that you lost him when I get back." Legoshi told the troopers that had followed behind him.
"We will have a full battalion of troops on this level sir." One of the troopers assured him.
"Wait… where are you going? Is capturing Dooku not enough?" one of the troopers
"There are two others like them that I must attend to….. Let's just call it… extra credit." Legoshi told him.
Legoshi gave the troopers a two-finger salute as he left the detention center and flew out of the star system.
Meanwhile on Coruscant a couple minutes later.
Palpatine just finished receiving the report that Dooku has been captured. Turning off the holoterminal, he growled loudly in frustration.
"Damnit! All my hard work. All the planning centuries in the making… ruined in less than a day! How can this Legoshi cause so much disruption so quickly." He raged as he pounded his desk.
Moments later, Palpatine heard commotion outside his office. It was his guards denying someone entry when suddenly their talking was interrupted, and he could hear two thuds to the ground. He could not sense what was on the other side of that door, but Palpatine instinctually turned off the security cameras in the room. He then heard a knock on the door.
Palpatine tried to flee for one of the emergency exits, but found that his way was blocked by a barrier of blue energy that he could not breach. He turned around and saw out his window that the energy surrounded the entire outside of the room.
Seeing that he could not escape, he decided to play the role of Palpatine and hide his true identity as he currently has for the past decades.
Palpatine locked down the room and activated an alarm to alert republic forces. A moment later, the red front doors were sent flying out the back and through the blast screens over the window and shattered both them and the window behind it.
"You know you Sith are really lacking in manners." Can the familiar voice of the anomaly he saw just minutes ago at Serenno.
"Coming from an intruder who knocked out my guards and blasted security doors open and could have killed me? And who are you calling Sith? Is this some kind of ill-informed excuse to barge in here and threaten me?!" Palpatine tried to angerly bluff.
Legoshi stepped into the room and in front of the red desk that now had shattered glass and bits of metal on and in it.
"O really? So, I'm mistaken? You know that you spoke to Dooku when I was present there right? Did you think I could not hear your voice? And match it to you?" Legoshi pointed out.
Palpatine was at an impasse and was not sure how to proceed. His options were now two: try to fight his way to freedom or twist this situation to make Legoshi into an enemy of the republic by this intrusion.
"I have no idea what you are talking about. Me in league with Dooku?! Preposterous! You know that the Republic does not take kindly to threats or terrorists!"
"Says the Sith in a position of power. Do you think that you could hide the darkness of your Ki… your life force from me? Some would consider that an insult to one's abilities. Let's cut the crap shall we? I know what you are and since I have placed this barrier around this room, no one is getting in or out without my permission. I bet I can find some evidence in this very room with some searching…. Or I could just search you!" Legoshi said as he teleports behind Palpatine and grabs his right hand before he could react.
Legoshi used his free hand to search Palpatine's right arm and found a lump underneath his sleeve that felt like a metal cylinder. Palpatine tried to escape with all his might, even using a force repulse, but found that it had no effect On Legoshi.
Palpatine felt that Legoshi had found his lightsaber, he used force lightning in a desperate attempt to escape his grip, but like Dooku, his lightning bounced harmlessly off of Legoshi.
"And what is this I found?!" Legoshi mockingly states.
Legoshi pulled out a chrome and gold colored lightsaber. He pressed a button on the cylinder and ignited a red blade.
"I have seen both jedi and Sith using these, but the two Sith I have captured so far had red sabers. I have found this saber on your person and its color is also red….. care to explain?" Legoshi asked with a smug, knowing smile.
Palpatine tried in vain to frantically escape almost like a wild animal as he was getting more and more desperate.
A few moments later, both of them could hear pounding and blasting on the barrier as they could see clone troopers outside where the doors once stood. Legoshi decided to keep the barrier up until he could see jedi at the other side since they would believe his case better.
Knowing that struggling might make him look guilty in some way, Palpatine stopped resisting and tried to play the role of helpless hostage.
A minute later, Mace Windu and Yoda could be seen outside the barrier. Legoshi dismissed the barrier and let the troopers and two jedi masters into the room.
"Legoshi?! Release the chancellor and explain this!" Mace Windu demanded.
Legoshi bowed respectfully before pulling Palpatine by the hand up to Windu.
"I believe I have found a hidden enemy in your mist." He said gesturing to Palpatine.
"Explain?" Yoda asked
"I found this on his person" Legoshi states as he holds out Palpatine's lightsaber and ignites it.
Yoda and Windu were startled for a moment before turning to the chancellor to for an answer.
"That is clearly his lightsaber! He used it to get in here and threaten me! He is the Sith." Palpatine.
Windu crossed his arms over his chest like an angry/disappointed parent
"uhhu? Not once have I seen or heard reports Legoshi using a lightsaber in combat. Besides, why would he need one with the power I have seen from him." Windu countered.
He looks to the back and front of the room.
"There are no scorch marks from a lightsaber anywhere in this room. The door looks like it was blown off by kinetic force. Care to explain that?" Windu accusingly looked at Palpatine.
"He must have used the force to blow the doors off then!" Palpatine lied in a last-ditch effort to deflect blame.
"Then claim why lightsaber used against you used?" Yoda pointed out.
Palpatine was mentally sweating as he is now in a corner.
"Maybe if I searched him some more, we could find something. I found this on his right arm, let me try the left." Legoshi suggested as he then searched Palpatine's left arm.
Legoshi pulled out one other lightsaber of the same design as the other. He ignited it and it turned red as well
The clones were now turning their blasters at Palpatine.
Palpatine was now officially exposed as he could not explain away another lightsaber that was pulled from his person in front of their eyes. Fight or flight or surrender was his only options know, but his pride and anger would not allow him to just submit.
"I guess I have no choice then." Palpatine muttered.
"Execute order…" was about to command.
Before Palpatine could give order 66 to the clones in the room, Legoshi saw the murderous aggression on Palpatine's face and concerned for the others in the room, he chopped Palpatine on the back of the neck and knocking him out.
"I think I just saved you a headache to deal with." Legoshi said as he caught and carried the now unconscious Palpatine.
As he is knocked out, the masking effect on his presence fell away and Mace Windu and Yoda could now sense that Palpatine was indeed a Sith and based on the strength of his darkness, was probably the real Sith master they have been looking for.
The clone troopers shook their heads as if they were in a haze for a moment and went up to Legoshi to offer to take the chancellor but were stopped by Yoda.
"Take the chancellor we will. Plan to destroy the jedi with you he had, but his mask fallen it has and plan revealed." Yoda said.
"Indeed. We will take those sabers as evidence and any security footage in this room." Windu says.
Legoshi nods and hands over the sabers to Windu and places them on his belt while carrying the chancellor over his shoulder.
"You have done us a service this day that I believe we could never truly repair. With the capture of the master, I know that this war is finally over for good and the Sith defeated at least for now."
"Indeed, you have." Yoda agreed.
Legoshi nodded in thanks.
"There is actually one more Sith I sensed that I should probably take care of first before I accept any real praise. I don't want this mess I helped to clean up coming back."
"*closes eyes* hmmmm… Yes.. Lose ends tie you should." Yoda agrees.
"I will be back shortly to your temple on this planet." Legoshi says as he turns around and waves before flying out of the system.
On the Junkyard world of Lotho Minor a couple minutes later.
A part of his destroyer's training made Legoshi wanted to destroy this world since all that it seemed to serve is a trash can for other worlds, but he reasoned that it would reflect negatively on him if he did so and thus lose his chance at training. He felt the broken Sith presence under "ground" and cut a path through the junk.
When he reached the Sith presence, he found a horned man with red and black skin with a crudely made robot spider parts as his legs. He was gibbering absolute nonsense while also moaning and screaming in a clear case of madness. The man was not even startled by his presence, but instead lunged at him like an animal.
Legoshi pitied him as he saw what terrible shape this man's life had become and the suffering he is clearly enduring. Legoshi destroyed his legs with a single swipe of his left hand and caught the upper body in his arms and embraced him even though the man was flailing his arms madly to attack and escape the embrace.
"I'm sorry you lived like this. But at least now you can be granted peace. Tell Bill when you see him that Legoshi sent you and for you to be taken care for." Legoshi whispered into the mad Sith's left ear.
With a deep sigh and slight hesitation, Legoshi held out the still flailing Sith.
"You will feel no pain…Rest now." He calmly said as he placed his right pointer finger on the Sith's forehead.
As soon as his finger touched Sith's forehead, the Sith's brain instantly turned to ashes before any pain could have possibly been registered. The Sith slumped over and stopped moving as he had died instantly. Legoshi closed the mad man's eyes and carried him, bridal style.
"You deserve to be buried somewhere familiar to you. Not in a dump like this." He said, looking at the still, and yet somehow peaceful body.
Sensing that his Ki before he died was like the other dark Ki that he agreed to protect for Ventress, Legoshi travel to the world of Dathomir.
The world of Dathomir, that Legoshi arrived to a minute later, was a world shrouded in a red mist on its surface. He could sense people that felt like the dead Sith in his arms surrounding him.
Suddenly a large troop of women wearing red cloth, wielding swords and energy bows, that resemble Ventress surrounded him.
"I have come to lay this man to rest. I see that you are not fond of strangers so I will give him to you." He says as he lays down the body.
"Kill him!" one of them said as she brandished, her sword towards him.
Legoshi bowed in respect towards them before vanishing and leaving the system before they could even strike.
Legoshi returned to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant a couple minutes later.
"Finished already, have you?" Yoda asked as Legoshi entered the council chambers.
"Yes… where did you put the chancellor?" He asked, seeing that he was not with him.
"He is currently being held prisoner here and will be on trail for his numerous crimes against the galaxy within a few hours of now. We are also holding an award ceremony tomorrow for the end of the war. You are to be given the highest honor of the Republic for your role in single handedly capturing Dooku, Grievous, Ventress, and the Sith that was hiding in plain sight…Palpatine… I believe that medal is the Cross of Glory." Kenobi said.
"I also laid a Sith, that had gone mad, to rest. He seemed to have suffered for a long time."
"Thank you for that. Can we have his description for our records?" Plo Koon asked
"He was a humanoid with red and black skin with horns on his head. He looked like he had been cut in half at some point and replaced his legs with robot spider legs."
"Darth Maul was alive?!" Kenobi said to himself.
"He isn't anymore." Legoshi stated.
"I believe you. Thank you for making sure that he is one with the Force." Kenobi thanked.
"And what of my training?"
"You can start immediately after the ceremony if you want, though you can also celebrate the end of this horrible war with us if you wish as well." Kenobi offered.
"Thank you for the offer… but I'm good." Legoshi declined as he was not a fan of large, loud crowds.
Legoshi was offered to sleep in one of the jedi chamber rooms in the temple. He accepted and slept well that night.
"Don't worry Gouhin… I will soon make you proud." He thought to himself as he drifted off to sleep.
The next day, Palpatine was put on trial for hundreds of war crimes and dozens of accounts of high treason for planning on overthrowing the Republic from within. He was soon found guilty and was sentenced to execution by lightsaber to the neck. The following evening, Legoshi was brought to a staging platform in front of the senate building where he was awarded the Cross of Glory by senator Padme.
A few hours later, Legoshi was escorted to the Jedi temple and asked to stand in a grid scanner.
"What is this for?" Legoshi asked.
"This is to take your bodies measurements for your robes. The robes of a jedi a customary and traditional to wear for all those trained to be one. Though you did not request to be one, consider this as an honorary membership into the order, non-binding of course. This is also to get you a training helmet that fits, though not many in the galaxy have your face shape." An old woman known as the Librarian said.
Legoshi looked down at his cloths.
"Can't I just wear my own cloths?"
"While no one would stop you from wearing them in training. It is our tradition to wear robes and would help not distract the others in their training." She admitted.
"*Sigh* Very well." Legoshi says as he takes off his cloth, chest piece.
The librarian looks away and blushes slightly in embarrassment.
"There is a changing room down the hallway and wait there for your robes to put on." She interrupted Legoshi
Legoshi put his chest piece back on and waited for the scan to be complete.
"I want this back at the end of every training day." He awkwardly demands as he taps his chest piece.
"Rest assured that your clothing will be taken care of. The Jedi do not steal from allies. We will have your cloths stored in one of the security lockers in your temple accommodations." The Librarian assured.
"Good. I don't want to lose what is essentially my symbol of office besides the memory of my master." Legoshi stated.
"Hmmm.. perhaps we will just give you a strong lock that you can set the combination to for your security locker if that is better for you." She offered in consideration of his concern.
"I will go with that option. But I think I will keep these on." Legoshi nodded while pointing to his earrings.
"That will be fine. The scan is now complete. If you just follow this service droid, it will take you to the changing rooms." She said while pointing at the droid behind Legoshi.
Legoshi nodded and followed the droid to the changing rooms.
Once in the rooms. Legoshi noticed that the room was more like a giant closet filled with all different sizes of robes.
"Let me see… Your measurements are 192cm tall, chest 128cm, waist 126cm, leg 86cm." The droid stated as it searched the larger sized robes.
For some reason, Legoshi could not help but feel that the droid just called him fat somehow, but quickly shrugged it off since he was confident in his training regiments.
"Try these on." The droid suggested as it handed Legoshi a tan undergarment and brown overgarment that make up a jedi's robes.
Legoshi took them and was about to change when he noticed the droid was staring right at him.
"Aren't you going to turn around at least?" Legoshi nervously asked.
"I'm a droid sir. I have no societal judgements or stigmas on anyone's hardware, especially that of non-droids."
"I would still like my privacy!" Legoshi stated with a little more assertiveness.
"Very well sir." The droid answered in an unemotional tone of voice as it turned around.
Legoshi sighed in contented defeat as he took off his destroyer's cloths and was going to place them on a changing bench when the droid stopped him.
"I will take those for you sir." The droid offered.
"Nothing against you, but I would rather put my own cloths away." Legoshi refused.
"Very good sir."
It took Legoshi a few minutes to put on the robes as he had worn nothing but his destroyer's cloths, a bath towel, and pajamas for millions of years. The droid had to assist him with adjusting some of the undergarments. It then realized that Legoshi's tail was going to be a problem, but quickly corrected the problem by cutting a hole in the back of the garments for his tail.
"All done sir!" The droid stated.
Legoshi walked up to the mirror in the middle back of the room and looked at himself. He liked the style but was so used to looking profound that seeing himself in more humble clothing made him feel a little weird in a way he could not quite put a finger on.
"Your clothing sir." The droid said as it picked up Legoshi's destroyer cloths off the floor and held them up to Legoshi.
"Thank you" Legoshi nodded.
"Follow me to the training room sir." The droid motioned.
Legoshi followed the droid to a room that looked like the council chambers but was smaller with no chairs. In the room was Yoda, Kenobi, and Ashoka, who all turned to greet him.
"Greetings Legoshi. Ready are you for training?" Yoda asked.
"Yes… will the three of you be teaching me?" Legoshi asked, looking to the three of them.
"Yes. I believe that with my firsthand experience of your memories, Yoda's centuries of teaching all manner of Jedi, and Ashoka for a more… younger perspective, will be teaching you how to use your feelings and instincts rather than thought to guide your actions." Kenobi stated.
Ashoka stared at Kenobi and wanted to pout at him for that slight but decided to keep it to herself.
"*laughs to himself* odd it is to train someone elder to me…offence to you not." Yoda joked.
"Non-taken." Legoshi waved one of his hands.
"Given your unique situation and prior training in combat by your original master, we may have to form a hybrid system for you, and you may have to train with younglings from time to time. Is that alright for you?" Kenobi asked.
"So long as the end result is the same then I don't mind." Legoshi assured.
"Sorry if the robes don't feel comfortable. They take some getting used to." Kenobi commented.
"I have trained with weights that could destroyer this whole temple if placed on it, and that's just one, on all my limbs… including my tail." Legoshi trailed off in a mix of nostalgia and joy.
Legoshi quickly noticed that he was trailing off and normalized his posture with a slight blush of embarrassment on his face, although no one could see it due to his fur.
"Sorry… even though I don't really age, I can still trail off sometimes or add unnecessary details." Legoshi apologized.
"You are better at spotting it than some of the other masters I know." Kenobi commented.
Ashoka went into a darker corner of the room and picked up a large, egg shaped, helmet and gave it to Legoshi.
"We'll begin your training with this." She said as she handed him the helmet.
"Looks like a tight fit… what is this for?" Legoshi said as he picked up and inspected the helmet.
"We need a base line for what you know in conjunction with what we know, so we are giving you a simple test/training exercise. Go to the center of the room and put on the helmet."
"Alright." Legoshi answered.
Legoshi did as he was instructed and walked to the center of the room and put on the helmet.
"If this is about trying to sense others with your other senses blocked… I can already do that." Legoshi commented.
"Sensing others this is not. Your body's instincts are we testing." Yoda corrected.
"Fair enough." Legoshi nodded as he turned to face Yoda.
"What happens now?" Legoshi asked.
"Normally we would give a youngling a training saber for this, but since we are not focused on your saber skills and that we are confident you don't need one, we will skip ahead to the exercise. Ashoka answered.
"Although you have more than earned the right to be given that training if you wish." Kenobi offered.
"I will pass on that… I'm ready whenever you are."
"Very well. We will start with a simple training droid." Kenobi said as he pressed a button at the bottom of one of the room's windows.
A small, ball shaped droid floated from a hole that opened in the ceiling and hovered a few feet in front of Legoshi.
"Your job is simple. Deflect the bolts shot from the droid in front of you with your hands before they touch your body. Even if you were not a god, these bolts are non-lethal as the energy output of them is weak."
Legoshi nodded towards Kenobi.
"You may begin." Kenobi said to both Legoshi and the droid.
Legoshi held out his right arm in front of him with his hand stretched out and turned to the side, palm facing the left.
Legoshi deflected the first dozen bolts but started to miss a few in the second as they bounced harmlessly off his chest. This went on with deflecting most but missing a few in each set of 10 sets.
"Stop." Kenobi calmly commanded the droid. The droid stopped firing and floated a few feet higher in the air.
"You can take the helmet off." Ashoka stated.
Legoshi did so and looked to Kenobi for input.
"Believe the issue found have I. come… Follow." Yoda motioned to Legoshi to follow.
Legoshi followed Yoda into a dimly light room with circular stools near one wall of the room.
Yoda sat on one of the stools.
"Come…sit." Yoda motioned to a stool.
Legoshi sat cross legged like Yoda was.
"Lots on your mind, have you?" Yoda asked
"not really, though I can't help but have stray thoughts enter my mind like a nat that won't go away."
"hmmm yes… second guess yourself you do?"
"Considering my duties and moralities, it takes me a while to come to peace with it or to learn from possible mistakes. My every action could have the potential to affect this entire universe after all."
"Understandable that is. Great responsibility you carry. Come to face the consequence of power through the Force every Jedi has. In yourself and the balance in all things you should trust."
"I try."
"Try not! Do or do not! There is no try! Doubts of the mind, slow the body it does. Clouds your judgement it does. Learn to follow your instincts you should. Guide you they will."
"*Sigh* easier said than done."
"Of course, it is! If easy it was, be here you would not."
"By the way, how did you come to this conclusion? You are unable to read my mind due to my divinity."
"Read your mind I did not need to. Watch your movements I did. Watch the twitches and sways of your body I did. A story of you your body told."
"kind of sounds like something my master would do."
"Interesting that is…Eons apart may we be, but similar methods we may have."
"I…. Will reflect on this and do my best to incorporate it." Legoshi said as he bowed."
"Continue training today you can. Ask Ashoka for advice and perspective you can. However, retire to my quarters I will. Tomorrow, the youngling you will train with." Yoda says as he gets up and leaves.
The next day, Legoshi trained with the younglings on deflection practice. Some of them commented on how tall he was or why he was training with them when clearly, he was an adult. Some wanted to touch his ears as they looked soft to them and Legoshi let them since they could not possibly hurt him.
Legoshi also went to the meditation chambers and tried to quiet his mind but found that hard to do as his mind would try to fill whatever void, he tried to make in it.
A week later of little success, Legoshi sought out Ashoka for some advice. He found her in a large chamber with droids surrounding her for her saber training. Legoshi watched as she skillfully cut them down. While most of his…. stature would find this uninteresting and unimpressive; he could at least find enjoyment in the swordsmanship she was displaying. Once she was done a minute later, she wiped some sweat off her brow and turned around.
"O Legoshi! I didn't see you come in. Sorry if I kept you waiting on something. I was keeping my skills sharp since the war has officially ended." Ahsoka greeted.
"No need to worry. I just wanted to ask you something."
"Ask me? What about?"
"Some advice or training trick/technique you may have developed over the years when it comes to quieting the mind."
" O that… yeah I know that can be very difficult to do. I think I can help you a little bit. If this place wasn't littered with droids, I would have offered to do this here, but let's go somewhere else." She said as she motioned for him to follow.
"I take it the masters have been vague and telling you what you need to do and not how to do it?" she asked while on the way to the meditation chambers.
"Yep."
"Yeah, masters like it when learners find their own way of getting to the answer and not teaching them methods of accomplishing things. I guess they think it will expand on the knowledge and methods of Jedi training as a whole or to just have the student follow "The Force" and let their personal style sink in."
"That seems like it would not work for everyone." Legoshi criticized.
"Exactly!" She said as if she finally had someone that agreed with her.
Once they were in the meditation chamber. Ashoka told Legoshi wait on one of the stools as she went out of the room. Ten minutes later, she came back in with a large tub of water into the room that was large enough to fit a person into. Legoshi looked very confused and looked to her to explain.
"This is to help you get a "feeling" for this technique I learned years ago." Ashoka stated.
"How will this help?" Legoshi asked with his head cocked slightly to one side.
"You lay in it… sometimes the answers we are looking for come from the most mundane of sources."
"How will laying in water give me the answer I'm looking for?"
"It can give you an idea for it, but without perspective, it probably won't, but this will help with the technique. I promise."
"Ok…" Legoshi answered with some doubts about this.
"Do I need to get naked for this?" Legoshi asked as he investigated the water.
"What!? NONONONO!... I mean no, you don't have to, but If you want to then I can leave the room." She quickly said in embarrassment and blushing before quickly regaining her composure.
"Ok… can you leave the room then? I don't bathe in clothing."
"Fair enough… I'll be back in…let's say 20 minutes, I'll knock first of course. All you need to do for this is relax as much as you can and let yourself just drift away with the water." Ashoka advised as she left the room.
Legoshi slowly and carefully took off his robes and entered the tube. He laid down and tried to relax as much as possible.
Ashoka came back 20 minutes later and let Legoshi know that she was back. Legoshi got out of the tube, shook himself dry as best he could, and put his robes back on.
"Alright! You can come in!" He shouted.
Ashoka entered and noticed the water everywhere. She face palmed herself.
"Crap… forgot to get you a towel… sorry." She apologized
"I guess I'm going to have to clean this up later." She thought to herself.
"It's no big deal. I'm sorry for getting this room wet." He said while scratching the back of his head in embarrassment.
"It's fine… it's just water after all. Anyway, Let's sit back down."
"I still could not clear my mind completely in the tub."
"That's ok. It was meant to be a sensory reference for you."
They sat back down on the stools in cross legged postures.
"Now… just relax and close your eyes."
Legoshi closed his eyes and loosened the tension in his muscles.
"Good. Now, recall how that tub felt. The water brushing over and through your fur as it gently touches your skin underneath. Recall with your body the feeling in your body as you were suspended in the water like the void of space." She calmly almost seemed to chant.
Legoshi replayed into his body the feeling of the cold, wet, water on his dampening fur. The feeling of his fur being brushed aside and onto his skin as he floats on nothing.
"recall the feeling of your hearing being clogged and your head filling up with that water."
As he made his body recall the sensation, he could barely hear what Ashoka was saying next.
"Now let that feeling spread out as if all of creation is that water, and all that water is connected to you as you drift endlessly in it."
Legoshi let himself get completely lost in that feeling as his mind finally went quiet. He opened his eyes as his mind remained clear.
An aura slowly began to emanate from Legoshi as he tapped into his divinity, but instead of a purple aura, it was white and blue with streams of orbs of light flowing upwards from random positions. His hair turned completely white as he looked down at himself.
He looked at his body closely, turning his hands back and forth in front of his face.
"How did this work?" Legoshi asked out loud in quiet astonishment.
Ashoka smiled and looked up at him.
"it's feeling, not thinking. You can use feeling to distract and muffle your thoughts. I was taught to feel, not think. To use my instincts. I came up with this mind set when I was taking a bath one day…. Funny how things can get solved like that."
Legoshi looked back to his hands some more before returning a smile of his own to her.
Legoshi practiced this technique for the next five months before it became second nature to him. He had his training with his master and the simplicity of Ashoka's technique for mastering this method of mastering Ultra Instinct.
A month after mastering Ultra instinct, Legoshi was about to leave the galaxy after saying his thanks and goodbyes but stopped himself when he felt a familiar Ki to that of the deities from before in the outer rim area called "The Maw".
"I hope whoever is there is not related to the ones I destroyed before. I guess I should make sure and apologize if they are." He thought to himself with a small bit of guilt of not finding another way or giving them more of his time to change their minds.
