Chapter 9: Trained into Reserves

Disclaimer: I do not own Beastars, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, Star Wars the Clone Wars, Star Wars expanded universe, or Hazbin Hotel, or the Seven Deadly Sins Anime.

Gouhin was about to pick up Legoshi and put him onto a sleeping mat he materialized into existence with his angelic powers but was approached by the 12 other destroyers who all collectively asked him through the first one to ask:

"How the hell did Legoshi achieve that? What did you train him with in order to accomplish this!?" Giin shouted in almost accusingly at Gouhin.

The destroyers, like the angels, knew that The Grand Priest does not throw pity victories or pull any punches towards the end of any spare, thus this sheer disbelief of what had happened.

"If I could train him to accomplish this then how did I lose or why I'm not grand priest… think before you ask dumbass questions. And no, I don't know how Legoshi accomplished that." Gouhin retorted and dismissed Giin.

Seeing that they would get no more answers or information from Gouhin, the destroyers dispersed and decided to just ask Legoshi himself when they could.

"That was so AWESOME! I never thought that I would see the grand priest lose…How Exciting! Is he going to be ok?" Came the omni king as he approached Gouhin.

"He will be fine sir." He answered while levitating the bed matter off the ground and moved to his side.

"That's great! Can you bring him to my palace? I think The priest will have something to say to him when they both wake up."

"Yes sir." He answered while hiding his slight surprise at the request.

2 hours later:

Legoshi slowly opened his exhausted eyes as his stamina had recovered enough for him to regain consciousness. The "room" he was in was a massively long and tall hallway where you could not see the end in any direction. The floor was lined with white, marble pillars that marked the only visible path in the infinite expanse that seemed to express an entire universe around and in the room. There were rainbow beams of light that shown from a unknown source above him. It looked like he was floating in a brilliant array of colors in deep space, even though it felt like a solid floor.

Legoshi squinted and rubbed his eyes for a few seconds before sitting up and looking around at his surroundings. His attention was soon pulled into focus on his left as he saw, sitting on a small white and gold marble throne chair with stars as a design that arched on top of it, The Omni King Zeno and the grand priest standing next to him on his right.

Legoshi comically and quickly got up two his feet and took a deep bow towards both the omni king and The grand priest

"Hello Zeno. It's a pleasure to finally meet you and I'm sorry for taking so long to wake up if you were waiting on me." He says as he bows to Zeno

"And I'm sorry for punching you so hard Grand Priest. I just got caught up in the moment and lost myself in it because I really wanted to win!" He said as he bowed to the grand priest with some sweat dripping from the back of his neck in nervous anxiety.

"It is alright Legoshi. I would have been more insulted if you didn't give it your all against me. Besides, that was the most in battle that I have ever been pushed and excited…so I thank you for that." He calmly assured with his right hand raised and a calm smile on his face.

"Thank you… but still… I hit you pretty hard then." Legoshi said will standing straight up while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Think nothing of it. As you can see, I am good as new." The priest said as he pointed to his head.

"So…why have I been brought here?... if you don't mind me asking?" Legoshi asked while slightly fidgeting with his hands.

The omni king floated out of his throne and landed in front of Legoshi.

"Thank you for such an amazing fight! It was so much fun watching you fight! I might do this again sometime…. Maybe with the mortals next." He thanked.

"Thank you sir and I'm glad you enjoyed the performance." Legoshi nodded while holding out his hand for a handshake.

Zeno stared at Legoshi's for a few seconds before grabbing it and floating up to Legoshi's height and shook his hand.

"Was there something else you wanted Grand Zeno?" Legoshi politely asked.

The Grand Priest approached the both of them.

"I can answer that Legoshi. Me and his highness Zeno have been discussing what to offer you for your victory and for the unprecedented accomplishment you have achieved. We have decided that the position of destroyer no longer suits a being of your caliber; therefore, you are to be trained as an angel by me starting tomorrow." The grand priest announced.

Legoshi was greatly honored and a little bit embarrassed that he was being complimented and praised by the grand priest and by extension the Omni King himself. A realization quickly dawned on Legoshi before he could thank the grand priest for this…"promotion".

"I know this will probably seem obvious to you, but what will happen in my universe if I'm not destroyer of it?" He asked with concern.

"Your former position will be filled by another destroyer candidate of course. If you were wondering what will happen to you… You will be held in reserves, once your training is complete, until another universe comes into existence, or another angel is relieved of duty." The grand priest calmly answered

"o…. but there is no such candidate for our universe. Will Gouhin have to search for another one?"

"Yes… although since it seems unlikely a position will be open for you, maybe we could have you find one at the end of your training as a part of your training. This will make it easy for you to find one again once a position opens for you."

Legoshi mulled this over in his head before slowly nodding in acceptance a few seconds later.

"Great! Now could you perhaps play a game with my majesty while I get things ready for you?" The grand priest gestured to a holoprojector that projected a part of a universe, consisting of multiple planets and galaxies in the background.

Zeno floated his throne over to the board one the right side while a similar throne chair manifested itself to the left of the board. Legoshi took the seat and played a strange game that the omni king had to explain to him.

Legoshi played this and several other games with Zeno until Zeno retired to his chambers and left Legoshi to sleep in his mat in the throne room.

The next day:

The grand priest escorted Legoshi to a far more open room of the palace where the pillars were spread apart by miles.

"Now Legoshi… Before we begin, I have a question for you."

Legoshi was taken off guard a little by that

"What is it sir?" He nervously asked.

"I noticed during our fight yesterday that my stamina somehow vanished and my barrier was destroyed. I did not see an outside force from you destroy either one and I have lived long enough to know when something is amiss. Tell me Legoshi… did you cheat somehow?" He asked with a small bit of intensity in his eyes.

"No sir. I had no help defeating you if that is what you meant. I also didn't use any tools, weapons, or wishes in order to defeat you. I used all I knew how to do with my own power to defeat you…honest!" Legoshi defended himself.

The grand priest staired directly into Legoshi's eyes for a few seconds.

"Good… just covering bases. Second, did you learn to do something that could upset the balance of the cosmos."

"…What do you mean by that?" Legoshi nervously asked.

"As you and I both know, the power of Hakai does not work on those of equal or greater power than the wielder. The way my stamina and barrier were removed was reminiscent of Hakai, but our power was relatively equal at that time so that could not be the case for how that happened. This indicates that something else was employed against me that is similar to hakai but cannot be defended against….. which would be stepping into the territory of Grand Zeno himself… which is a serious issue and potential crime."

Sensing where this line of questioning was going, Legoshi decided to use the very ability/understanding that the grand priest was hinting at to protect himself.

"Hakai the grand priest's line of questions and understanding of how his stamina and barrier was destroyed." He thought to himself.

The grand priest suddenly went into a daze for a moment before shaking himself back into focus.

"What were we talking about?...huh… I can't seem to recall." The grand priest asked.

"We were talking about the first thing about my training as an angel." He convincingly lied.

"O yes that… We should probably get started with your new robes and staff."

"I'm sorry Grand priest, but you can understand that I did that out of self-preservation… but you do bring up a point about balance…. Perhaps I should take precautions about this. Who knows what could happen if this ability fell into the hands of someone truly selfish or worse, nihilistic." Legoshi thought to himself.

"Now Legoshi…What do you want the colors of your new robes to be?"

"Wait… I get to choose that?"

"Yes you do."

Legoshi pondered on this for half a minute.

"Can my colors be light green and deep blue like the reflective surface of an insect carapace?"

"Oddly specific but of course you can. Now, what do you want your symbol to be?"

Legoshi took a few minutes to decide on this.

"Can I have 2 circles above two equilateral triangles facing down and two more triangles facing up just below the other triangles."

The grand priest pondered on this for a moment.

"You mean like the rough shape of an insect face I take it?"

Legoshi nodded.

"Good! Now lastly, what color do you want the middle of your staff to be?"

"Silver"

"interesting… would be the first to choose a metal for a color, but that is acceptable."

With a snap with his left hand, he manifested the robes that Legoshi specified in color into his right hand and the staff into his left.

"Here you go" He said handing over the robes and staff.

"Is there somewhere to change into this?" Legoshi asked with an embarrassed blush.

The grand priest simply snapped his fingers and manifested simple screen doors to hide Legoshi's form behind them.

"Thank you."

Legoshi changed into his new "Uniform" and officially began his training.

Legoshi learned how to use his staff as a tool to channel his ki into angelic qualities to perform feats that mortals would consider miracles and other gods could mistake for what Kais should be able to do in the form of materializing object out of nowhere.

Legoshi also decided to use his unique understanding to destroy the possible understanding the omni king had of how he defeated the grand priest. He also tested to see if his ability had sway over the dragon god by destroying "his" ability to grant the wish for anyone to know how Legoshi defeated the grand priest and how one could learn such an ability. He went to the 6th and 7th universes and collected the super dragon balls and tried to wish for what he had thought of destroyed and found that even the dragon god could not grant that wish. This knowledge that his understanding even had influence over the second strongest being in creation was both a cause of relief that now he could prevent others from learning of such devastating knowledge and ability, but also frightened him in what such a ability could do and if even had any kind of limits.

Legoshi's angel training took around 20,000 years to complete, though the grand priest had one final test for Legoshi before he formally completed his training and that is to find a destroyer candidate in universe 13 for the benefit of both Legoshi and Gouhin.

Author's note: I apologize that this chapter was so short. Now I have a question/opportunity for you the reader. Legoshi will be traveling to many worlds to try and find the destroyer candidate to replace his former position and I want to hear your suggestions to what anime, cartoon, comic world that he should/could visit to find such a being. I already have a few things in mind but I would like to hear your suggestions since these next chapters will be involving Legoshi traveling to different worlds.
