Summary: A New Player joins the Alien Force Squad on Day One; does this change affect the Timeline of Ben 10 Alien Force?

We begin the story with a pair of individuals.

"Yo, Tennyson!" each of them were male. "Nice catch; great to see those practice sessions finally paying off."

And with a mane of sunny blond, gravity defying, spiky hair, a pair of cerulean blue eyes, a trio of thin lines on each sides of his cheek that looked like whiskers, a muscular, lean build and a light skin tone, this young male was garbed in a pair of orange baggy pants, a long sleeve, black, form fitting undershirt, with a singular scarlet flame design in its centre, a short sleeve, orange, turtleneck jacket with its collars and zippers black, a pair of black sneakers with blue shoelaces, and finally, a necklace with a green gem in its centre.

This was Naruto Uzumaki.

"Last I checked, I practised with my team." and as for the one who replied? "You only decided to join in when you were bored."

He was also a male, but with a neatly dressed mane of brown hair, a pair of green eyes, a light skin and a slender build that was garbed in a pair of green shorts, a pair of soccer shoes and green knee-length socks, a white t-shirt with a grey stripe in the middle, and the number 10 on the back, a pair of gloves, an inner, long sleeve shirt, and finally, a gold medal which hung from his neck.

This was none other than Ben Tennyson.

"But I helped," and together, the duo were in the school's parking lot. "And that counts."

Ben got up from unfastening his bike that was attached to the safe guard.

"If that's what you think." he got up on the seat of his bike. "As for me, I'm heading off to my grandpa's to tell him the good news; you're welcome to come if you want."

"Only if we head out to the Arcade after." Naruto suggested and Ben shrugged. "Cool. Just let me go grab my skateboard so that we can ride there together; meet you by the gates in a few?"

"Sure." Ben smirked. "But don't be surprised if I'm gone because you ended up taking too long."

"Go ahead and do that." Naruto grinned. "But remember: I'm way better than you at pranks."

With that, the blond left to retrieve his items.

…Chapter One: Formation 10…

Eventually, the two (after leaving the school and riding on their skateboard, and bicycle) rolled up to the trailer park and up to the R.V. that Ben's Grandfather resided in and despite the fact that it looked worse for wear, somewhat, the two stepped in after Ben found the key that was hidden under a small rock.

"Looks like this place's been abandoned for months." Naruto looked around while following his friend. "When was the last time you said you saw your Grandpa again?"

"Physically? About a month ago." Ben frowned at the mess with a worried expression. "But I spoke with him last week, and he didn't seem to be in any trouble; maybe he got himself a new R.V. and abandoned this one?"

"Possibly?" Naruto shrugged. "Or maybe it's something else?"

Ben, meanwhile, stepped away from his friend and towards the door with the white lights shining behind it and opened it... "Grandpa?" …to find nothing but an empty toilet, much to his ever growing disappointment.

"Why don't you try calling him?" Naruto suggested from his spot. "Just to, y' know, make sure he's okay?"

"Good point." Ben agreed, reaching for his phone. "I think I'll do that."

However, before he could even begin calling said grandfather in question, the curtains covering the beds were suddenly drawn open; and as the startled pair quickly drew their attention to the unexplained occurrence, their eyes widened...

"Huh," Naruto commented. "Now there's something you don't see every day."

…because standing on the other side of the curtains, and more than a few inches taller than the duo, was what could only be described as an entity only seen in nightmares - with its light brown, humanoid-like body that had black hands and feet, and a head with a singular eye containing a red pupil, a small black slit iris and green sclera, a visible brain and a black line that runs down the centre.

When it roared, its entire chest split apart to reveal wiggling tentacles and before Naruto or Ben could process this any further, the tentacles extended to attack them causing the pair to dive and roll away for cover, and Ben to instinctively slap his wrist.

"Hah!" but as he felt his palm slap his wrist, the green eyed male blinked and groaned. "Aww man!"

He dove away as more tentacles struck at him and as Naruto saw this, he shouted for his friend in concern.

"Ben-" then he looked around for an item to use, and once his eyes spotted a fire extinguisher, he reached out for it and tossed it to the alien attacking the slimmer male. "-let go off my friend, you creep!"

The tentacles pulled back to the alien's chest, and once it was 'normal' again it snarled and charged at Naruto with its claws but thinking quickly, the whisker faced blond opened the top door of the standing refrigerator causing it to slam into it, and Naruto to push away from it, and towards Ben and helped him up.

"You okay?" and after Ben nodded at his friend, Naruto turned to look back at the stunned creature who quickly recovered and ripped the top door of the freezer and threw it at the duo who ducked away from the projectile. "So, any idea what that thing is?"

Then they ducked away from the creature as it charged at them, with Naruto ducking under the table, and Ben by the driver's seat of the R.V.

"Why're you asking me?" and in response, the creature jumped on the table the blond was hiding. "What makes you think I know what this is?"

"Because you're the one who used to be able to change into aliens?" Naruto shuffled away from the creature and moved towards the bedside, where the fire extinguisher lay. "If anyone has a clue as to what this is, it's you!"

"That was five years ago." Ben rolled under the swipe of the alien as it moved to slash him once it saw that Naruto wasn't around. "And even if I could do that, I've never transformed to something like this so I don't know how to take it out."

The blond, meanwhile, frowned.

"Maybe I do." and as the alien once more charged at the duo, Naruto pushed Ben behind him, aimed his right hand at the alien, and clenched it into a fist. "Just try to keep this between us, okay?"

Then, a second later, a bright beam of yellow light shot out of the stretch hand and into the angry alien, causing it to screech in pain; and when Naruto swung his stretched hand toward the window, the creature, now knocked out and suspended in the air, while covered in a golden outline, was sent flying away from the two.

"Phew." Naruto then pulled his hand back as the gold light dimmed down and turned to Ben who looked at his friend with wide eyes, and an expression of shock. "What?"

"What? WHAT!?" Ben motioned to the window and to his friend. "What the heck was that!?"

"That was me using my powers to take out that monster." the blond explained as a matter of fact. "I didn't know how else to take it out. Why're you so surprised? Judging from what you told me about your adventures, it's not like you haven't seen a meta-human before."

"So all this time I've known you…" the former shapeshifter was sending his friend a searching look. "You've had powers and you didn't tell me? Why? How long? And what can you do aside from, well, what I saw?"

"Yes, 'cause you didn't ask, and since I was born-" and the said friend in question was dismissive of Ben's inquisition. "-also, is finding out what I can do more important than finding out what that thing was doing here in the first place?" he glanced around. "'Cause I'm starting to think this place was a lot nicer before it came along…"

"Good point." Ben walked towards the dashboard of the R.V. and flicked a few switches. He'll ask his friend about his powers later. "Maybe my Grandpa left something behind to clue us in? Maybe that's what it was after?"

"And if that's the case, how exactly is what you're doing gonna help us find out?" and from his spot with his shoulder resting on the refrigerator, and his head near the clock, Naruto was wondering what his friend was doing until a capsule sprung out from where he was resting and struck the side of his face. "Wha-hey!"

"Whoops." Ben stated, smirking at his friend whose scorching glare was ignored as he walked by the downed form and reached for a disk-shaped object. "Huh… looks like I was right."

"I'll get you back for that, y' know." Naruto muttered, meanwhile, as he got up from the ground and rubbed the side of his face, walked up to his friend, and spotted what was being held up. He frowned in confusion… "Well is that it? Is that what that thing was looking for?"

"Let's find out." Ben felt the sides of the disk, pressed the button that was there and flinched back at the 3-D Holographic Image of none other than Maxwell 'Max' Tennyson that popped up. "Grandpa-"

"Hello Ben…" but the Holographic Image cut off the brown haired male before he could say anything more; and, sensing that the recording was important, he listened to what was said until it ended with a- "...Max Out."

Naruto spoke, however, before Ben could gather his thoughts and start muttering to himself.

"Hey this thing can rewind and pause, right?" and at the curious look he received, he rolled his eyes and repeated, "This thing can rewind right?" he frowned. "I think I saw something at the end of that message. Can you play it again so that I can make sure my eyes aren't playing tricks on me?" Ben did as requested and when the message played again, Naruto's eyes snapped wide in alert at what he noticed. "There, at the end. Did you see that? It looked like your grandfather's image flickered to that thing we just fought a while ago."

"Really?" Ben blinked. He then rewound the video and then played it again and when he saw what his friend meant, his eyes widened in recognition. "Okay, yeah, you're right.. I noticed it at that time but trust me-" he gained a look of concern. "-I know this is my Grandpa; it couldn't have come from anyone else."

"So what was with that whole thing at the end, then?" Naruto wondered. "Maybe some form of shape shifting like you used to do?"

"It won't surprise me if he had some sort of tech that allows him to do just that, and considering how tough and scary that thing we fought was, maybe he needed it to find out why it and any like it are here and stop it?" Ben's eyes narrowed. "But that just leaves me with more questions, like why didn't he tell me when he knows we've been through a lot together to know I'm more than capable to help out? And why does he think he has the Omnitrix when I'm pretty sure it's still in my room?"

"And the Omnitrix is…"

"The thing that lets me shape shift into all those aliens." Ben explained. "And like I said, it's in my bedroom, I'm sure of it… maybe."

"Um, yeah…" Naruto frowned. "That doesn't sound like what a sure person would say."

"I need to make a quick stop to make sure I'm right." Ben got up where he was sitting, and tucked the recording disk in his pocket. "After that, I think I'll be seeing my cousin for a quick chat. Coming?"

"Well, I'm in deep already so sure; why not?" Naruto shrugged, following his friend out of the R.V. "Though we'll need to switch our wheels 'cause I can't see myself boarding all the way there."

With that the two left the 'seen better times' motor home.

Now in a car, with Naruto driving, the two stopped at the gates of the only other high school in Bellwood.

"...I still can't believe I never noticed that your entire family is a family of Meta-Humans." And now, while the driver's outfit remained the same, Ben switched from his soccer uniform and into a more casual outfit.… "And that you're an actual alien. My best friend's a literal alien."

"Why do you sound so surprised? You used to deal with this stuff back when you had that changing watch on." Naruto stated, locking his car doors as he stepped on the stairs leading to the school. "Speaking of which, if that stuff's as powerful as you told me then what the heck was it doing in a plain old box you could find easily in your room? Especially if there are people after it? That was a stupid idea."

"Except it wasn't." Ben rebutted. "Because of how powerful the Omnitrix is, the bad guys would think that I would probably keep it locked up in a secure place very hard to get to if they saw that I wasn't wearing it. My closet at home is the last place they'd think to look."

"I guess you have a point there." Naruto agreed. "But then here's my counter point: You're not wearing the Omnitrix and they know your secret identity. At any point they could have just kidnapped you and used whatever form of torture to find out where the watch is and without you to protect them, if they're not at home, you've officially put your entire family at risk."

"Well I…" Ben frowned as he thought of his friends words. "Huh."

"Yeah." Now, it was Naruto's turn to frown. "Didn't think about that did you?"

"Well I'm still here safe and sound and my family's okay." Ben shot back, a bit miffed that he didn't really think of this whole 'omnitrix security' thing through. "And if anyone's stupid, it's the bad guys who didn't get to me when they had the chance to."

"I guess so." Naruto scratched his chin in thought. "I wonder why though. For people whose goal is world domination, that's a pretty stupid move."

"What can you do?" Ben shrugged. "Most times, bad guys are usually very stupid."

Anyways…

You see, after making sure that the Omnitrix was still where he left it, and changing out of his soccer outfit, Ben followed Naruto to his home and, as he'd humored his friend by answering his questions, demanded his own questions be answered and after they reached the said friends home, he, Naruto, did that by explaining how while his father was a normal human who got powers from exposure to cosmic rays in space, his mother and younger sister were magical beings called Anodite and, until he was 9 years old, he thought he was just like his father, except without powers until he accidentally activated a teleportation device that sent him to a planet that was next to a Violet Sun whose Solar Rays bathed his Cells and Super Charged it, granting him access to the powers he had now and got used to until his mother arrived to save him by sensing his mana across the Universe and Teleporting to it the second she found him.

Ben was in awe when he heard that and was even more impressed at the demonstration of power control he saw with his friend's family now that they knew they didn't have to hide any longer from a very frequent guest - he was even more surprised when his friends mother and sister shifted from their human form into a form of pure energy - but unfortunately, and due to the fact that he recalled why he was here, his awe and excitement was cut short as he left his friends place in order to head to his cousin's school - as he found out from his aunt, her mother, that she was still there - he promised himself to visit a bit more often than he usually did.

And now, he and Naruto were in his cousin's school searching for the said cousin in question.

Now back to the story…

"Speaking of Cousins," Naruto continued. "I don't think I've actually met yours since I've known you."

"Really?" Ben blinked. "I could've sworn you two have actually met before." he frowned. "Huh. Weird."

"So…" Naruto grinned. "Is she hot?"

"Dude," Ben deadpanned. "That's like me asking you to tell me if your sister is hot."

"Of course she is." Naruto replied. "She gets that from mom."

Eventually, the two arrived at the library of the school and, as they stepped inside with Ben taking the lead, the two looked around until they spotted the only other person around, sitting behind a computer with headphones in her ear.

"Is that her?" Naruto pleaded. "Please tell me that's her."

And with a fiery mane of straight long hair that extended past her shoulder blades, a pair of familiar green eyes that was covered by the transparent glare of a blue lens belonging to the thin, rectangular glasses she wore, a light skin, and a slender yet hourglass build that was garbed in a form fitting, short sleeve, sea blue shirt, midriff-length that had a cat stylishly drawn on it, a pair of black, form fitting trousers that had a thick belt along its waistline accessorized with a pendant in the shape of a cat head, a pair of high-heeled, ankle length, silver boots, and finally, an equally shaded pair of wrist-length gloves.

"If that is her, I swear to you I'll owe you a huge favor if you put in a good word for me," Naruto continued, walking beside his friend. "And you know you can trust me when it comes to promises; right Ben? Ben? It's because I didn't tell you my powers, isn't it?"

Ben ignored his friend's obnoxiousness as he walked up to the busy redhead.

He slammed his hand in front of the computer, snapping the one behind it out of her trance and causing her to jump back.

"Hey-what th-" and angrily, she looked up at the cause; but then she blinked. "Ben? Ben!" She quickly got up from her seat and threw her arms around him, pulling the green eyed male in a tight hug. "It's been too long; why didn't you tell me you were coming?"

"That'll ruin the whole point of the surprise-" Ben replied, wrapping his own arms around the redhead, and pulling her in. "-which involved convincing your mom to keep me coming here from you; trust me, that was really tough."

"Well it's worth it." The female pulled back from Ben and looked up at him. "Huh… didn't think you'd end up being taller than me, dofus."

"Surprised me too, dweeb." Ben stated, smiling down at Gwen. "But it adds to my overall charm so I'm definitely not complaining."

"Is that what you call it?" the female raised an eyebrow with a curious look. "Charm?"

"What else can it be?" Ben shot back, and as he saw that he was about to get a response, he quickly cut in. "On second thought, don't answer that-" he looked to his side and said to himself in a quiet mutter… "-I don't know what I was thinking asking that." he shook his head mentally and returned his gaze to the redhead. "So how's my most favorite, ass kicking, Magic wielding cousin been?"

"You only have one ass kicking, magic wielding cousin." the female rolled her eyes, before she smiled. "But I've been good. The quiet life's been treating me well. You?"

"It's a bit boring for me." Ben shrugged. "But, I guess I expected something like that when I decided to have Azmuth help me take it off." The sound of a throat clearing caused the two to remember, and realize, that there was someone else around. "Oh right. Gwen, this is Naruto-" he motioned to the blond after pulling away from his now identified cousin. "-he's-"

"-delighted to finally meet you!" Naruto grinned, after shoving Ben behind him to stand in front of the redhead. He bowed, grabbed her hand and kissed it's back. "Honestly, I don't know what that idiot was thinking by not introducing me to a delightfully perfect 'specimen' of the human race sooner."

"Flattered," Gwen deadpanned. "And I'm sure… Ben had his reasons." and with an uncomfortable expression, she pulled her hand away from the blond grabbing it, and turned to her cousin. "Speaking of reasons…"

"Why am I here?" Ben asked, knowing what his cousin was going to ask, and from the nod he received, he was right. "Well… I received a message from Grandpa and I decided that I'd need some advice before I move on." Gwen raised an eyebrow at Ben, then gazed at Naruto. "Oh, don't worry about him. He's in the loop about everything; plus he helped me take out this alien that was looking for something in Grandpa's R.V."

"That's… a lot to take in." Gwen stated. "Mind giving me a few minutes to wrap up a Class Project I'm working on and lock up? I promise I'll hear you out."

"Sure." Ben stated. "Naruto and I'll wait for you in the gym."

"Got it." Gwen smiled. "I'll see you there." she glanced at the blond. "And, um… it's nice to meet you… Naruto."

"Trust me-" Naruto's grin never left his face. "-no one's more appreciative of this than I am."

Ben grabbed the collar of his friend and pulled him out.

"Try not to keep us waiting too long Gwen."

And with that, before Naruto could give a cheesy, departing line, the two left the redhead alone to finish her work.

Eventually, Ben and Naruto reached the Gym; and a few minutes after making themselves comfortable on the bleachers, Gwen arrived to see them in the middle of a conversation that was put on hold at the notice of her appearance and once the three settled down, with Naruto apologizing to the redhead if he came on to her too strong, and Gwen waving off Naruto's concern, they got onto the business of why he and Ben were here even in the first place.

"So let me get this straight…" Gwen started. "After you went to the motor park to see him, you encountered and fought an alien in Grandpa's R.V, drove it away, and watched Grandpa's holo-message that said you didn't have the Omnitrix, even if you did?"

"That's pretty much the entire gist." Ben nodded. "If you leave out me heading home to see the Omnitrix was still in my closet, and then stopping by to see you."

"Plus stopping by at my place," Naruto added. "You can't forget that if you wanna get literal."

"Not exactly the point here." Gwen muttered. She then shook her head and looked at her cousin. "Anyway, why did you need to see me again? You haven't exactly gotten to that part of the story."

"I need advice." Ben stated, before pulling out a white and black, gauntlet-looking object and showing it to the redhead. Gwen instantly recognized what she was looking at. "Grandpa's message is what made me even consider looking for the Omnitrix in the first place; and with that alien me and Naruto fought, which happens to be the same kind that Grandpa's image switched into before it went off… is he trying to tell me something? Does he want me to put it on?"

"Are you sure that's what you want? Remember how much trouble we went through to get Azmuth to take it off?" Gwen stated. "Besides… despite his advanced age, we both know that Grandpa can take care of himself. It's always been like that since we were kids."

"Well I know; but what if this time he knows he's in over his head, and needs our help?" Ben asked, looking down at the object in his hand. "Then that'll mean that me not putting on the Omnitrix could mean that if something bad happens, and I could've stopped it, it would be my fault."

"Don't think like that, Ben." Gwen frowned. "And speaking of Grandpa, have you tried calling him to find out what he really wants? Sometimes it helps to hear directly from the source."

"The first thing I did when I got home and found the Omnitrix." Ben replied. "But I couldn't get him and that just makes me more worried."

"You wanna know what I think?" Gwen and Ben turned to Naruto. "I say you put it on. Today I was around to help you take out that alien and from what I understand, there's probably a lot more out there and from our interference, chances are your family's gonna be targeted. If not for your Grandpa, do it for the sake of protecting your family at least until whatever this is dies down. You could always take it off later, right?"

"He has a point." Gwen agreed with the blond. "But it all comes down to you, Ben. What do you think?"

Ben frowned. "I…"

Unfortunately, before the Tennyson male could reply, the door to the gym was violently pushed open, catching the attention of the three.

"The Omnitrix isn't yours…" and the reason for that action was a large male silhouette wearing a trench coat, and pants. The lack of lighting of the gym made it difficult to make out the appearance of the new arrival. "So I suggest you hand it over… before things get ugly."

"Oh yeah? Well last I checked, you're outnumbered 3 - 1." Ben slipped the Omnitrix around his wrist. "And that was a few seconds ago. Your chances just got worse; so if I were you I'd rethink messing with me and my friends."

"Kid," the man reached up to his face and ripped out what looked like a mask. In response to that, and a few seconds later, his figure shifted from a human garbed in a trench coat, to a gilled, humanoid-looking alien garbed in a white Armour. He was also aiming a gun-like weapon at the three of them with his left hand. "You just made a huge mistake."

And with Ben, Gwen and Naruto all settling into a fighting stance at the new threat, we bring this chapter to a close.

Author's Note: For those familiar with Alien Force Episode 01, you'll already notice the few changes Naruto's presence brings, which includes a change of outfits and if you need a visual representation, Ben and Gwen are wearing what you see as the 'book cover' of the chapter. I don't have one for Naruto. Speaking of which, yes, Naruto is an alien in this story who got his powers unlocked, and boosted, under the glare of a blue sun after an unintended Teleportation. More on his backstory will be revealed in the story as to what kind of powers he's got, and what species of alien he's from and if it'll affect the story.

Naruto's Role: He'll serve as an outside voice to the story, pointing out things that would usually escape the characters. An example would be one of the Trivia's in Episode 01 of Alien Force where Max's image switched to a DNAlien briefly. Read on to find out what else Naruto's role would change.
