Summary: An old enemy makes an appearance.

Super easy, barely an inconvenience.

If one was looking for a way to describe the fight that just happened, then those words would be the first thing that came to mind.

You see, when the stranger took off his mask and started to attack the trio after Ben slipped on the Omnitrix, with a burst of super speed that surprised both Gwen and Ben - as flashes of a certain speedy alien came to mind - Naruto appeared behind the unknown male, grabbed his hands, causing him to drop the gun that was pulled out before it could fire a blast out of its muzzle, and forced the said captured male to his knees with a surprising show of strength.

Of course the bound man tried to escape but because of the surprising amount of strength from the grip, and the hold he was on, he couldn't move from his uncomfortable spot and, as for Naruto, Gwen and Ben, well, after they saw that they had their attacker restrained, they knew it was time to get some answers.

"Alright, start talking..." Ben was the one who took charge of the interrogation. "Who are you? Why are you after us? And how do you know about the Omnitrix?" he paused. "Do keep in mind that my friend can easily snap your limbs off on the off chance that you don't cooperate and give us the answers we're looking for."

"It'll be very easy-" Naruto agreed, slowly bending the arms in his grasp a bit to show that he was serious. "-because I doubt your limbs are any stronger than Tungsten, and I can easily snap that; so if I were you, I'd answer my friends questions and not lie while doing so because, I'll know if you do. Trust me."

"He's not kidding." Ben added, crossing his hands over his chest. "Believe me; it's something that he's got a natural talent for."

"And while you're doing that," the bound male grunted. "I'll be adding more to the charges already compiled to your file when I get out of this and arrest you."

"Um, guys…" Naruto paled as looked at the two cousins. "He's not lying."

"Wait…" Gwen shared the blond's worry. "You're a cop?"

"A Plumber." the bound man replied. "A Magister, to be exact, who you just attacked after he caught you stealing an object that does not belong to you."

"And again," Naruto added, loosening his grip. "He's not lying."

"Well then if what you're saying is really true and you're actually a Plumber-" Ben purposefully ignored the look that Naruto sent him and forced down the initial bout of nervousness he felt. "-then why'd you attack me? My Grandpa Max was a Plumber too."

"Max? As in Max Tennyson?" Ben and Gwen nodded in confirmation at the words of the Plumber. "Wait, you're the Legendary Ben Tennyson? I thought you were just some random kid who somehow managed to get his hand on the Omnitrix with his friend."

"How'd you even know we had it?" Naruto asked after letting go of the man he bound. "I mean, it's not exactly something we were advertising."

"I've been tracking the two of you the minute you left the Trailer Park." the Plumber stated. He eyed Naruto. "Which is something I'm surprised you didn't pick up on… you know, seeing as you're the one with the 'Enhanced Hearing'."

Naruto blushed and looked away from the space cop. "Shut up."

"I guess my friends and I owe you an apology then." Ben stated, helping the man up. "What did you say your name was again?"

"I didn't. And it's Labrid." the man massaged his sore wrist. "Magister Labrid." Then, as he got up, Labrid put on the mask he dropped on the ground and in response, his entire form was encased in a shine of green light that died down to reveal the form he came into the gym with. "And mistakes were made on both sides, so I'll let your infractions slide, for now…"

Naruto's blush returned as he said that.

"By the way, Labrid," Ben stated, bringing up something that's been on his mind for a while now. "That mask you just put on…"

"I/D mask; standard issue." Labrid explained, now in his human disguise. "I'm surprised you don't know what it is, considering that as a plumber, your grandfather has one just like this."

"Huh." Gwen mused, resting her shin on her palm. "I guess that explains what we saw in that message."

"Message?" Labrid asked with a frown, and when he was given the message Max recorded, and saw what they were talking about, he understood what the teens were getting at. "Ah, that. Well, considering that we were working on an undercover case together - which I suspect that he was in the middle of during that recording - then I would say that was indeed an I/D Mask; the place he's in must be really dangerous for him to consider putting one on."

"And from what I'm guessing…" Naruto added with a frown. "It's probably filled with that creature Ben and I fought. What his form shifted to for a brief second. Yeah, I can see why he'd want to be in deep cover."

"Speaking of which…" Ben stated. "Magister Labrid, do you have a way to contact Grandpa Max? You said you're his partner in an undercover case; you must have a way to reach him if you ever plan on exchanging notes."

"I would've if he hadn't gone off line a few weeks ago; sorry Ben." Labrid stated to the teen apologetically. "But he did give me a tip on a shipment involving illegal alien tech. Maybe the dealers might have an idea on where he is? If you help me take them out, we can find out together."

Ben didn't hesitate. "Deal."

And at that quick decision, Naruto and Gwen couldn't help but share a quick glance.

Eventually, after everything was cleared up, using Naruto's car, the formerly warring group headed out to where the weapons deal was supposed to take place but because no one was there, the group of Naruto, Ben, Gwen and Labrid decided to watch, and wait behind some creates where they had a really good view of the entrance of the spot.

"Ugh." Ben groaned. "And here I thought StakeOuts were as awesome as I saw on T.V."

"StakeOuts aren't supposed to be fun." Labrid explained to the annoyed teenage male. "They're important parts of any information gathering missions as this one is and require all your focus because the slightest missing detail could mean life and death for those involved. In this case…"

"Grandpa Max." Ben frowned. "Yeah, I know. I just wish we didn't have to sit around and do nothing while we wait."

"Well, the rest of us can do the StakeOut." Gwen offered. "Why don't you go back to the car and make sure the Omnitrix is working as smoothly as you remember? At least that'll keep you busy for a while."

"Hey, you're right!" Ben grinned at his cousin. "Good idea Gwen; I'll do that right now! I knew there was a reason I liked you."

And as Ben quickly walked away, and started fiddling with the device on his hand, Naruto stared at the redhead.

"You didn't want to deal with his whining, did you?" Knowingly, he smirked. "Not exactly how I'd have handled it, but not bad."

"I don't have to answer that but I have a question of my own." Gwen stated. "How'd you and Ben meet and become friends?"

"It's nothing epic, I'll tell you." Naruto replied, before turning around, leaning back on the crate, and then looking up at the night sky. "But as I recall, it was three years ago, shortly after moving to Bellwood, when I was in the middle of a morning run and happened to bump into him doing the same and after making our little jog a competition, which I easily won despite him knowing short cuts, we ended up becoming friends, and then best friends."

"Best friends, huh?" Gwen replied. "I'm surprised he never really mentioned anything about you whenever we talked or sent emails to each other."

"Probably slipped his mind." Naruto side glanced at the redheaded female. "And concerning him? That tends to happen a lot."

"No argument there." Gwen snorted. "Did he tell you anything about me?"

"Yeah," Naruto replied. "But only when prompted. Dunno why though." he grinned. "Wish I'd met you sooner." then the grin shifted to a frown. "By the way, sorry if the way I acted earlier creeped you out."

"It's cool." Gwen dismissed the blond's concern. "If anything, it amused me. I've definitely not been hit on like that… in a long time."

"Seriously?" Naruto blinked. "No way; someone like you should have guys eating out of the palm of her hands."

"As flattering as that is," Gwen stated, managing to force the blush that formed on her cheek away. "I rather like the lack of attention. It gives me time to focus on what's more important like my studies."

"School?" Naruto asked. "Or magic?"

"Both." Gwen raised her hand, clenched it into a fist, and formed a transparent blue sphere around it. "And as you can tell, it helps."

"Huh." Naruto blinked, as he saw the orb, and then smiled. "Neat."

"As much as I would hate to interrupt whatever it is the two of you are doing," Labrid stated, reminding the two that he was around. "We have company."

"The Buyers?" Gwen asked, as she and Naruto turned around from their leaning position to get a better view. "Of the supplier?"

"Either or, as far as I know." Labrid stated, watching as trucks started pulling up one after the other. He looked at Gwen. "You better go get your cousin, though. We might need his help if things go south."

"Agreed." Gwen said. "I'll be right back."

And as she got up to go and get Ben, Naruto's eyes narrowed at the four trucks that pulled up.

"The black and green." Labrid looked at the blond next to him in confusion. "They're the ones with the weapons which seem to look like some kind of lance-shaped gun? I couldn't really make it out but from the circuitry it's really high-tech, and they're about 4 dozen of them."

"How can you tell?" he, the plumber, wondered. "As far as I recall, there hasn't even been a hint to suggest what may be inside those trucks."

"X-ray Vision..." Naruto replied with a shrug. "One of the few awesome things I can do with my eyes. Comes in handy from time to time-" he frowned. "-I can't seem to get it to work with lead though."

"Hmm," Labrid stared at Naruto for a while longer, mentally adding that ability to the things he decided that the blond was capable of doing, before looking back at the trucks and noted those who stepped out of it. "So we know who the buyers and suppliers are; now all we have to do is wait for the one brokering the deal."

And thankfully, they didn't wait too long because right as the disguised plumber finished his sentence, a dark green muscle car that had a pair of black stripes running across its middle, pulled up and stopped between the trucks.

Naruto and Labrid watched as the door opened and a figure stepped out - a muscular male with a slicked back, neck-length mane of black hair, a pair of coal eyes, and a light skin that garbed in a pair of balck pants (with a green knee-pad on each leg) tucked into laced, dark brown, combat boots, and under a long sleeve, hooded, silver shirt and finally, a black, short sleeve shirt that was worn over the hoodie - and as they took note of the said figure in question, the pair frowned.

"I don't know why…" he, the blond, stated. "But for some reason that guy… feels familiar."

"He should." and of course, it was at that moment that Ben and Gwen returned. Naruto picked up their approach a while ago so he wasn't surprised as opposed to Magister Labrid who was surprised at first before it died down once he saw who stopped by. "He's Kevin Eleven. He's the guy who tried to take the powers of my aliens when we were kids."

"Except what you described to me about his appearance was that he looked basically like an even worse version of Frankenstein's monster-" Naruto stated, remembering the time Ben told him the story of this Kevin. "-but I'm not seeing any of that right now."

"Trust me, he was as every bit as Ben described back then." Gwen answered for her cousin. "I guess between then and now, he found a way to shed his monstrous exterior. 5 years is a long time, no matter how you look at it."

"Ah…" and Naruto nodded in understanding. "Good point."

"I thought he was stuck in the Null Void." Ben looked at Labrid. "And the Null Void was supposed to be impenetrable."

"No Prison is inescapable, kid." the plumber stated in response to the green eyed male's unasked question. "As long as there's a way in, there's always a way out. Now then, in case all of you have forgotten, we're in the middle of an important mission."

The trio nodded and, with Labrid, watched and listened as the male identified as 'Kevin Eleven' was addressing those around with what, the watchers assumed, is a sales pitch after he made sure that the money was legit.

"As promised," Kevin started, reaching for one of the pulled out crates and taking out a weapon. "4 Dozen new factory Laser Lances." and, like Naruto stated earlier, it looked like a mix between a lance, and a gun, and it looked really hi-tech. "Ether Point Energy Modules, Antenna Focus Emitter, and…" everyone watched as Kevin walked away from his audience and aimed the weapon in a random direction. "It's good for 35 Minutes of continuous fire at 0.6 Terawatts. Is that good?" and, along with those hidden, the buyers and suppliers watched as a red stream of energy shot out of the weapons mouth and hit its designated target and as there was nothing left of it seconds later, Kevin turned around to his audience with a smirk on his face. "You tell me."

Labrid's eyes widened at this.

"Those Lances are Level 5 technology, Planet Earth is only Level two!" He ignored the looks he got from the trio, got up from his hiding place, and walked up to those involved with the sale while taking off his I/D mask, tossing it away, reaching for his weapon and aiming it - along with what could only be described as a badge - at those in front of him who were in the process of transferring the weapons to the empty trucks. "Hands above your heads air breathers. By the authority of the Plumbers, you're all busted."

And by the time Ben, Gwen and Naruto stopped behind Labrid, half of the truckers removed I/D masks of their own to reveal their true selves - which turned out to be an exact copy of the same Alien Naruto and Ben fought in the R.V - as they approached the group…

"Back off." In response to this, Labrid fired his weapon on the ground, creating a wall of fire that halted the aliens in their tracks. "Unless you wanna get fried, then by all means: be my guest."

"Not bad, Magister." Ben, obviously, liked what he saw. "But what now?"

And when the plumber replied with- "Stand off." -Naruto, who was behind the group, voiced his opinion.

"Um, I don't think so." His words caused the others to turn around. "The other guys are behind us."

…and as for the other half of the truckers? Well, as the aliens revealed their masks, they pulled off their robes to reveal the kightly-type armour that lay underneath and was engraved with a symbol that had both Ben and Gwen frowning in recognition.

"The Forever Knights." the Tennyson male groused. "I should've known they'd be involved in this considering that it's illegal alien tech."

But before the Knights could fire at Ben, and while the unknown aliens remained behind the wall of fire, Kevin Eleven leapt from where he was, and landed, in a crouch, between Ben's group, and the Forever Knights, halting the approach of the said Knights in question.

"I thought that stink was familiar." he got up from said kneed crouch with a smirk. "But I couldn't be sure until I found out by myself..." then he punched his right fist in his left palm. "Sup Tennyson; it's been a while. I see you've upgraded your look."

"Wish I could say the same about you, Elevin." Ben settled in a fighting stance. "Seeing as your monster form was the upgrade in your case."

"True." Kevin agreed, but for different reasons. "I did have more power in that. Shame I lost a few of them when I figured out how to turn back."

"Wait…" Gwen frowned. "Only a few?"

"Yup…" and with a flick of his right wrist, a ball of fire formed on Kevin's palm, much to the shock of the Tennyson pair. "But I can't complain… considering the half-dozen ones I got to keep."

"Well-" Ben gulped visibly. "-that's new."

"Now I recognize you!" Naruto pounded the side of his fist in his palm, shifting the attention to him. "You're the jackass dating my little sister!"

And with that, a strong air of silence washed over the group.

A few seconds after Naruto's statements were made, a transparent, golden yellow dome formed around Gwen, Ben, Labrid and the said blond in question; and it was a good thing too because a second later, fire beams, laser shots, and slime attacks were fired from all sides of the shields and were it not for the efforts of the blond - who had his hands spread above his heads - the team would've been not alive at the moment.

"Seriously." Gwen shot the whisker faced blond a pointed, annoyed look. "Did you have to bring something like that up right now?"

"Blame my mouth." Naruto replied, showing no strain as the various blasts hit his barrier. "Sometimes, it just spews things out of my control." he grinned at the redhead. "But I've always managed to get out of the trouble it gets me into. I doubt this'll be any different so I wouldn't worry."

"I doubt this trouble compares to whatever you've dealt with in the past." Gwen deadpanned then, as transparent orbs formed around her hands, she looked at her cousin and raised an eyebrow. "And you, what are you waiting for? Anytime now!"

"Huh? Oh, right." and, as for the said cousin in question? Well, once he was snapped back to reality, he quickly pulled his right sleeve to reveal a watch with black straps, faceplate with a green hourglass symbol and finally, an inch-long, cylindrical button on each of its sides sitting in the place of the Omnitrix. "Ugh.." and after staring at the item on his wrist, he pressed the buttons on the sides and watched as what looked like a 3-D Holographic Display of a Silhouette flashed. "I guess this is what I get for dumping and forgetting about you."

"Is that the Omnitrix?" Labrid was the first to notice this amidst the onslaught. "It looks different from what I remember."

"What's he talking ab-" Gwen, finally, turned to look at the device on her cousin's wrist and easily noted the difference. "Ben, what did you do?"

"Nothing!" Ben exclaimed in annoyance. "It went into Reboot Mode when I activated it earlier; and then once it was done, it turned into this and as if that wasn't bad enough-" he aimed the faceplate at Gwen and Labrid showing them the silhouette that was present. "-my old playlist of available transformations got swapped with new ones that'll take a lot of time getting used to."

"Worry about that later, Ben." Naruto stated, grunting while he was continuously fixing the cracks forming around his dome shield. "Focus on the now; can you transform? 'Cause I can't keep this up forever, y' know."

"I think I can." the Tennyson male replied. "Just give me a second to pick one that doesn't look like it'll screw us up."

"You have less." Naruto told Ben as he hovered off the ground and looked at Gwen and Labrid. "I'll go for Kevin; can you guys handle the aliens and the Forever Knights?" and at their nod, he nodded. "Then get ready. I'll try and give us as much of a headstart as possible."

With that, he curved himself into a foetal position, and pushed out his arms and legs, causing his shield to explosively push back and knock the trio of attacking forces off their feet as a flash of green light briefly encased the dome.

"Big Chill."

And as the light died down, the ones left standing were Naruto, Ben, Gwen and Labrid except standing in Ben's place was a humanoid, moth-like alien creature that was hovering in the air with its wings spread out and this sight, made those who saw it pause.

Author's Note: Kevin's appearance is based on the image I have representing this story, as are both Ben and Gwens; and as for his abilities, well, unlike his cannon self, he managed to retain some of the DNA he absorbed after losing his monster form and, as you can see, the Pyronite DNA is one of them. I made him like Rouge in that regard. As for Naruto, more of his abilities were shown in this chapter so in addition to Energy Projection and Super Strength (powerful enough to easily snap Tungsten) he's shown the ability to create Energy Constructs, Fly, utilise Super Hearing and finally, X-Ray Vision. Does this get us closer to reveal what he truly is? Find out in later chapters. And finally, as for Gwen, in this story, her Mana is still Blue rather than Pink. She's still an Anodite, I just feel like they should have different colour types based on their level of maturity in strength.
