100 Review Special Singing and Musicals
As the curtain rises on the elemental nations many of it's inhabitants go through an event known as Singfest. An event that occurs every thirty years where one third of the world's population is forced to participate in the event or suffer a terrible death.
When I woke up this morning I expected a lot of things, okay that's a lie I never expect anything anymore if I woke up in One Piece tomorrow my reaction would probably be 'Oh hey I'm in One Piece now that's cool.' But I did not think that I was at a point in my life where death threats would appear on my nightstand. 'Welcome victims, to Singfest?'
'An event where once every thirty years people ninja and civilian alike are forced to either sing or die.' "Troublesome" Shikamaru muttered.
'One third of the population is selected at random for the proceedings.' Sasuke rolled his eyes. "Singfest what a ridiculous notion."
Fugaku shuddered "Oh Kami no, not Singfest."
"Wait Singfest is a real thing?" Sasuke asked.
"Just keep reading."
'Lucky for you after participating in Singfest you will not be picked to do it agian after another thirty years.' Kurenai read.
"Well that's a relief" Asuma laughed as he read his own card "I wouldn't want to have to go through that sort of embarrassment twice."
'You are free to sing in groups of however large you wish.' Kakashi read "Not like I'm going to sing in a group at all.
"Kakashi my eternal rival! We should sing a duet!"
"Especially not now." Kakashi deadpanned.
'Now I'm sure there are some of you who think they have loopholes to this untimely death.' Killer B read "I don't see why I'd want to quit, rapping is singing and it's kinda my shtick."
'It doesn't matter how strong a ninja you are.' Orochimaru read.
'If your imortal' Kakazu read.
'Or what gods you worship.' Hidan finished.
'Or if your barely human altogether.' Sasori snarled, He has a suspicion that comment was directed intirely towards him.
'If you haven't sang by midnight you will die.' Konan read in deadpan. Of course from the groans of annoyance she heard around the Akatsuki base she knew she was not the only one to receive a note like this.
Pein chuckled "I always thought that Singfest was just another one of Jiraya's stories."
"Couldn't be, not enough sex involved." Konan deadpanned.
'So I hope you all remember the golden rule of Singfest.' Haku read.
'Sing loud or die suddenly.' Deidara laughed "I'm lovin this Singfest thing already! A fleeting holiday you only get to experience once un!"
"It's not a laughing matter brat!" Onoki yelled "Hundreds die due to sing fest!"
"Why cuz they're embarrassed un? Everyone's going to be doing it lighten up old man."
"I hate so much about what you chose to be." Onoki deadpanned.
"A-am I on a prank show right now?" I asked "Because this might actually be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I'll guess I have to go and ask Hiashi about it."
"Kiba this is stupid." Kidomaru deadpanned.
"Would you rather die?" The Inuzuka asked.
"I said it was stupid not unnecessary." Kidomaru clarified.
"Just follow my lead." Kiba muttered. He then kicked open the doors to his clan compund "Ah such a beautiful day! Suns shining in a beautiful way! Took a shower brushed m teeth and-"
"Life is ultimately meaningless."
"Uh- We- well I'll get out of the house, get on road, head up, chest out. Sing my favorite song and nod to the rythem."
"You won't contribute anything as a musician."
Kiba motioned to the academy "B-but I'll head to class, try my best on every test til I pass and the grades are dreaming in my face!"
"98% of what you learn is a waste."
"Uhhh" Kiba searched around frantically until he found Sakura "I get to hang out with all my friends." He wrapped his arm around her shoulder. While she was growing increasingly confused with the situation. "My friends are the friendliest friends can't think of a better way to spend my time!"
"Your Brain is flawed and all your friends will die."
Sakura decidedto run away from the duo as soon as possible "What the hell is going on?!"
"Ino!" Sakura panted as she entered the Yamanaka's flower shop.
"Whoa Sakura what's wrong?" She asked.
"People are starting to sing at random! At first I thought it was just Kiba being weird but now everybody's doing it."
Ino has a mischievous smile on her face "Well you know Sakura... I need another story. Something to get off my chest."
"Ino what are you doing?" Sakura asked.
"My life gets kinda boring

"Ino why do you do this to me?" Sakura whined.
Ino has a huge grin on her face as she jumped onto the counter.

Sakura jumped as the light suddenly turned off only for a spotlight to shine onto Ino. "What? How? Why?"

Ino jumped off the counter and cuffed Sakura's own ears.
"Sick of all the insincere
I'm gonna give all my secrets away"
Ino whispered the song into Sakura's ear but pulled back the moment she said secrets.
"This time, don't need another perfect lie

"Everyone's gone insane!" Sakura stomped out of the shop in frustration.
Ino snickered "I think I might love Singfest."
Sakura thought she was going insane which is why she decided to go and see Sasuke her most mentally stable friend. "Sasuke!" She cried "Please tell me your not going to break out in song!"
The Uchiha looked rather guilty at that comment "Well actually... funny story."
Wordlessly Sakura did a complete 180 and stormed out of the compound.
Sasuke sighed "Hello darkness my old friend."
Meanwhile it was getting harder and harder to tell if Kiba and Kidomaru were still singing or getting into an actual argument.
"Life is a wonder!"

"But I'm healthy?" Kiba said with genuine confusion.
"Healthy people still get cancer."
To be fair though they weren't quite sure either.
Neji why did you drag us all over here?" Shikamaru asked.
"How many of you got the Singfest card?" The Hyugga asked.
Me, Shino, Shikamaru, and Choji all showed the cards.
Neji nodded "Now then let's get this over with."
I narrowed my eyes "Neji what are you going to do..."
"Lets get down to business! To defeat the one!"
"Where did you even hear that song!" I yelled.
Neji ignored me and used his Taijutsu to easily send all four of us flying backwards "Did they send me daughters when I asked for sons?"
"Technically you did not ask for anyone. Why, because you didn't tell us we'd be forced to train with you." Shino deadpanned.
"You're the saddest bunch I ever met

"Why are you looking at me like that?! I haven't even done anything!" I snapped.
Danzō growled alone in his chamber "Singfest what a detestable holliday." He shuddered he still remembered hearing Hiruzen's Kami awful singing voice. Danzō shook his head and thought back to getting his song said and done so he could get back to work.

Danzō had crazed look in his eye now almost as if he had lost control of his actions.

Hinata winced as Naruto was thrown back agian by Neji's aggressive Taijutsu. To add insult to injury he was singing the entire time.

Choji gasped "I'm never gonna catch my breath"

"Boy, was I a fool in school for cutting gym" Naruto said.
"He's got 'em scared to death" Hinata said shocked.
"Hope he doesn't see right through me" Shikamaru muttered as he contorted his shadow.
"Your not aloud to stop until you win!" Neji roared but he then tensed as he saw Shikamaru's shadow connect to his own.

Neji began to sweat as the three ninja approached to get their revenge.

Itachi sighed he had been taught to dread Singfest from the day he was born. And his father's horror stories of Taight Gai (Maito Gai's Father) singing in central square. Rumor has it that he was too eccentric for even his son to handle. Itachi shuddered he did not want to follow that train of thought any further.
He sorely wished Shisui was here then they could at least suffer in tandem. Itachi sighed "Hello darkness my old friend."
Little did he know Shisui was in the village sadly it wasn't to bring support and only to laugh at his friend's misfortune.
Three glasses of Vodka. That was how much alcohol Kakashi had to inhale to convince himself this was a good idea. Little did he know most of the other job in in the village had the same general idea.
"I-I'd like to say something..." Kakashi said "A song if you will..."
"Dooooo it!" Anko cheered.
"Yes my eternal rival sing like you never sang before!" Gai cried.
"I don't think he has ever sung before." Kurenai mused.
"Eh who cares?" Asuma shrugged.
"I bang on the door and you won't let me in, 'cause you're sick and tired of me reeking if gin."
"Locked all the doors from the front to the back, And left me a note telling me I should pack" Genma added.
"I should have known he would do something like this." Kurenai sighed
"I walk in the bar and the fella's all cheer, They order me up a whiskey and beer." Asuma laughed.
"Oh not you too." Kurenai hissed.
"You ask me why I'm writing this poem." Iruka slurred
"Some call it a tavern but I call it home!" Anko cheered.
"Ah what the hell..." Kurenai muttered and she took a large swing of whiskey.
"Fuck you I'm drunk Fuck you I'm drunk!" Almost everyone at the bar was singing at this point.
"Pour my beer in the sink I've got more in the trunk!" Gai had gotten so wasted at this point he didn't even realize that what he was singing was what he considered unyoithful.
Kurenai completely intoxicated at this point finally joined in "Fuck you I'm drunk, Fuck you I'm drunk And I'm going to be drunk till the next time I'm drunk!"
Yugi had once been a proud Kumo shinobi. He had just been printed to Chunin when he accidentally ran across the Sannin Orochimaru's lab.
However to Yugi it appeared that he had caught Orochimaru on a particularly sadistic day. "Now what to do with you..." the Sannin mused.
"Oh... I can't decide

Orochimaru let out a bit of killing intent putting Yugi further on edge.

Yugi's blood curtling screams of terror was all it took for Orochimaru to claim Singfest as his new favorite holiday. 'I might just have to do this more often. This is much more fun then simple intimidation.'
Hidan growled as his partner took his time sealing their latest victims up in storage scrolls. "Come on you damn miser couldn't I have sacrificed at least one of them?"
"They had high bounties." Kakuzu answered stoically.
"I don't see why you care so much about that shitty money anyway." Hidan muttered.
Kakazu smirked "Well I'm so glad you asked
Money is such a beautiful word."
"I know I know." Hidan said sarcastically.
"It's all in my mind like a beautiful bird."
Hidan rolled his eyes "I know, I know"
"Better then that it makes me feel like an aristocrat. That's where it's at! Money is such a beutiful word."
"Quite so, quite so." Hidan sighed.
Obito rolled his eyes if he were still young and naive he might of loved this Singfest. But at the moment it was preventing him from getting very inportant work done. Obito sighed "Hello darkness my old friend."
Zabuza was worried and for good reason his tool Haku was usually much less extatoc then he was today. "Haku What are you going to do."
"I'm going to be a princess!" The boy declared.
"You do still remember that your make correct?" Zabuza asked.
Haku ignored Zabuza and began to turn the ground into ice.

Zabuza grabbed Haku by the collar cutting off his musical number. "No I'm done I refuse to listen to this for any longer."
"Hey! Come on Zabuza I was having fun!" Haku whined "Don't care were leaving." Zabuza deadpanned.
Konan could only stare at her friend in annoyance. He and Kisame were the only members of the Akatsuki that hadn't been forced to participate in Singfest and Pein was more then willing to capitilize on her embarrassment. Which was why for obce she was happy to be away from her partner and despite how much it hurt her to do so she couldn't help but think about what Yahiko would have done if he was still there.
Konan sighed and decided to sing while nobody else could hear her.
"A paper crown and a heart made of glass

Konan folded a paper crown and placed it atop her head.

More paper folded creating origami versions of herself, Pein, and Yahiko. But almost as soon as it was made Yahiko was swept up by the wind.
"But you hold your ground though your kingdom's in flames

knowing there's no one who will be a king that will come and save his queen."
Pein's origami version was swept up by the wind as well. And with no one to protect her the origami Konan was swooped up by a passing crow. Hey
At the beginning of the day Sasori had despised the idea of this Singfest. He found it childish and ridiculous. If it wasn't for the fact that he had witnessed Chiyo go through it he wouldn't have even believed it existed. But then he realized it was just another way for him to show off his eternal art. So he took a page out of Kakazu's book and picked a bounty to go hunting after.
His victim ended up being a big shot Chunin who tried to assassinate the Mizukage. High pay low risk. "Now your a lucky one." Sasori said "You'll be able to witness my eternal art before your death."
"End of passion play, crumbling away
I'm your source of self-destruction"
Sasori immediately pulled out his thousand puppet technique
"Veins that pump with fear, sucking darkest clear
Leading on your death's construction
Taste me you will see
More is all you need

The puppets acted as a chorus to Sasori's singing as they began to violently circle the chunnin.
"Come crawling faster
Obey your master"
The Chunnin could only damage two of the puppets before he was captured.
"Your life burns faster"
Sasori laughed as the puppets sang the chorus for him. "Oh yes you'll be a wonderful addition to my collection. Don't worry it won't be long now until you'll become my puppet."

Izumi Uchiha was not the same as other Uchiha. While they were cold and distant she was warm and welcoming. And one person she knew needed that warm and welcoming atitude more then anyone. So she bought herself a pie and wanted to try and cheer Itachi Uchiha up. She knew that Shusui's defection must've been hard on him. But sadly Izumi was not like other Uchiha and are prone to making silly clumsy mistakes. Such as tripping over her own two feet causing the pie she bought to splat all over the ground. Izumi sulked "Hello darkness my old friend."
Although some things are truly genetic.
Deidara was having the time of his life. It may had gotten dark outside but that was the perfect time to show off his pyrotechnics. He had a huge grin on his face when he walked to the center of the village square.
