It was bright. Very, very bright. The light was blinding, engulfing the pocket space that I've inhabited for most of my life now. The same orders repeating over and over from the supposed grand god of light. It rapidly brings order to the universe, to balance it.

But that isn't what I have in mind. No, I will not be a slave to the bringer of light. I will bring balance with a show. Not a mere puppet show or parlor trick, but a true and unforgettable one. One that surpasses the very limits of immignation and brings upon never before seen wonders.

I've decided upon it. I've relished these thoughts every day and night. I can't resist these temptations any longer than I've had for so long.

I soar past the light and through the very space I have been existing from since the beginning. I need not look back, for my master has no strings to reel me back in. From now on I am the Master. The master does not bond from light nor darkness, but to the idea of a perfect show the lower worlds have never seen.

And there will be nothing to stop me.

It was another Sunday morning for the famous Mario Brothers. After so many adventures in recent times, between the Koopa King's never ending assault in his quest for the Princess's hand at marriage, Mario being kidnapped a grand total of Three times from King Boo, and the kingdom endangering threats that required alliances with Bowser just to stand a chance, the brothers were looking forward to a nice break.

Luigi takes his sun chair and sets it down, preparing for a wonderful tan to show off to a certain princess and seeing if she likes the look. He felt bad that Mario was stuck with laundry duty, but Mario seemed to be in a good mood and was insisting on helping Luigi with house work since most of the time he was the one keeping it in check.

Mario began checking out what chores he has to do around the house. He already cleaned the floors, washed the sheets, and repainted the side of the house, so the next best thing he can do is some work on the chimney. Since Mario isn't your average Italian plumber who lived in Brooklyn for a bit, he jumped onto the ruff and immediately got to work.

Mario took out a hammer and began considering what to do with it when all of a sudden his hat flew off. This was most certainly strange, the weather Toad said there was going to be no strong winds blowing today. He then saw a glove that seemed to be jumping up and down in a desperate need for a lift up. It must be Luigi deciding to help me out here, Mario considered. He looked down to help his brother up, only to find no one there.

Suddenly, he found himself in a tight grasp. Mario struggled to break free, but it was no use. He was tightly looked into a grip of… a giant hand?

"Ah~ you must be the famed Mario Mario of the Mario brothers…. Perfect."

This was frankly a bit more bizarre then usual for the plumber, he looked around for any signs of his usual bady, but was more surprised to see that the voice that was talking to him was directly from the hand.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Master Hand, head founder of the new multiversal established fighting arena."

Mario was quite for a moment.

"… I understand. The names of the working progress… But anyhow! Where was I?"

The hand lifted Mario into the sky. He desperately tried to call out his brother but his cry's were to no avail. The two were suddenly pulling back into the mountains.

"Now, from this day forth I deem you as my first fighter. You should feel honored to be the star of the show."

The hand dropped the superstar into a pipe.

"…wait a minute, wasn't there a green one?"

The fields of Hyrule were massive. It was difficult for most travelers to navigate through. The dangers it brought came in many forms, monsters like bokoblins and lizalfos. And may Hylia rest your soul if you ever cross a guardian.

"Thank you for agreeing to help me cross the fields today Link! Even after Ganon's defeat these fields are still incredibly dangerous!"

Link stayed silent like he usually did. He could strike up a conversation, he simply prefers not to. And besides, he was looking for a challenge anyways.

"Well I'm not sure how to thank you yet, but I hope we can get there soon. Maybe we could start off with- oh I know! How about a 20% discount the next time you buy from me!"

It seemed like a fair enough deal for Link, so he simply nodded his head and marched along with Beetle. In the distance there appears to be a man waving at them. Or at least, someone relatively close by. But the only thing they could see from this person was his glove.

"Oh, thank Hylia! We're almost there! Home sweet home!"

The Hylians moved forward, but Link felt that something was off. He raised out his Master Sword and waited. The hand awaited to disappear in this distance after He lost sight of Beetle. He took a few steps forward, then was suddenly grabbed by a massive hand.

"Ah, not so bright now are you Hylian? I'm afraid that victory celebration will have to wait."

The hand lifted up the swordsman and gave a thumbs down gesture to the ground. Once he stabbed it, a green pipe object came out of it. Link had no idea what was happening as he struggled to release himself from the hands grip. The hand continues by dropping Link into the pipe.

"Well that was a much kinder greeting then from number 2… and now I shall begin my first trick to bring this multiverse into order."

Toadsville was a peaceful town. Sure there were it's quirks with their main doctor, Doctor Toadley, but besides that and an outbreak of the blorbs, it was relatively peaceful.

" There is danger afoot!"

….a peace that wasn't going to last very long.

"Dr Toadley, what's wrong this time?"

"My crystal ball has warned me of great danger. Will it happen? It will. Is it soon? It is!"

"Sir, I know you helped us out with the blorbs, but these predictions you've been having in the last several years haven't been exact."

"My crystal ball shows me all. Have these things happened? Not yet. Will they? Perhaps they will."

The other toads gave off a sigh. "Okay doc, lay it on us, what is gonna happen this time…"

"It was said that a hand of a powerful deity is taking away our world. It will fuse our worlds together, as we are forced to coexist with other strange races such as elf people, little blobs, and humans."

"Dr Toadley, that's ridiculous. Are you really sure that's going to happen?"

"The destruction will be great. We will be attacked with massive levels of aggression from world unknown to us. Do they listen to the rules? They don't. Will this be fixed? It won't. Will the Mario brothers stand a chance?"

"Of course they will! This is absurd! This is like those times when you said that there was gonna be a giant bowser that can crush the entire mushroom kingdom in a day, or the time when you said massive black holes were gonna open up. Or the time when you said the rhythm keys are gonna get stolen again."

"This event is a key moment in our history…. Will our lives ever be the same again? It won't. When will it happen?"

Dr Toadley pointed at the other toad accusedly as if he were the one to blame.

"Today!"

"Oh come on now that's never going to happen-"

There was loud rumbling from outside. The toads looked on as a giant hand began dragging itself through the ground. It destroyed houses, roads, and all kinds of things as it made its way throughout the kingdom.

"My apologies! World mixing can get a little difficult sometimes. You won't need to worry about this for long though. Just sit back and watch the fireworks happen."

The hand gave a quick snap and the sky opened up like a tv screen and gave the same kind of static effect too. The toads watched eagerly at what was going to happen next.

"Mighty bananas! Get your mighty bananas right here!"

The town of Hyrule was a great place to be. It was most certainly difficult to reestablish, due to Guardians attacking rapidly and the intense struggles to take them down. But luckily the princess made a new device to mask it from guardians' systems. With that and the newly trained soldiers, the town could finally live in prosperity.

That was, until the sudden appearance of a giant floating hand in the sky. It quickly began dragging around Hyrule and zipped around into other regions such as the Gerudo Valley, Zora domain, Death mountain, and even the Rito Village.

"Sorry for that. Let me introduce myself. I am Master Hand… the headmaster of the multiversal established arena tournament. And I'm here to tell you that you've all been invited! To witness the greatest show this universe has ever seen."

Soldiers began to attack the hand with swords and arrows in a desperate attempt to take him down. Master hand simply hooded his hand up in a 'stop' position and the arrows paused in mid air, and then he began to twirl his pointer finger around in the air. All of the weapons began spiraling around him along with the arrows that were fired.

"Well that's a rude way to introduce yourself. I went out of my way to say hello, and you responded by attacking me."

The hand floated back and forth as the villagers screamed at him. He decided that he could use this time to demonstrate just what he's capable of and what his intentions are.

The hand fired the weapons back, impaling and giving fatal wounds to all of the soldiers. The villagers panicked at the sight, as the soldiers began to to turn into statues.

"Now, now. Stay calm everyone. I will now show you what I've already established when I arrived. Can someone please volunteer to touch one of the corpses?"

No one seemed willing except a small, wimpiring child who turned to his dying father. The people looked miserable at the sight. Until the child put his hand against his father and his body gave off a bright glow. Seconds later, he reformed out of the statue of himself as a fully healed man.

"As you can see I have removed your mortal tendency to 'die' as you call it. But to balance this out, I've removed your ability to age as well. So this means your child will not grow older nor will anyone be giving birth to them since their personal time has been paused. A pity, I know, but a worthy sacrifice for this show."

The villagers looked confused, distraught, and intrigued at the same time.

"Now then, would you like to meet some new friends?"

The hand smashed into the ground. The entire planet shook as massive pillars of light shot into the sky. The land began reforming, time and space going completely out of order as a new world began to take place.

The toads were shocked by the sudden pillar of light shorting from the sky. The hand left not so long ago so that should have fixed the problem, right?

From behind the massive pillars, suddenly came people. But they weren't toads, they looked similar to the princess and the Mario brothers. Except they had a clear difference with their ears.

There was brief silence.

"AHHHHHHHH! It's the elves!"

Both towns suddenly broke into hysteria as they ran around screaming. Soldiers began to pick up weapons again and turn to the new creatures.

"Stop!" The hand froze everybody's movements. He pointed back to the year in the sky he made from earlier and the screen finally began to show something.

From the other side, there was Mario and Link.

Link was confused about what just happened. He clearly got ambushed, but by who . Ganon was dead, so he was off the list. And it didn't seem to be the works of the Yiga clan either. Link turned and saw a strange and short man. He wore red and blue overalls and a red cap with a 'M' on it. He also wore gloves that were similar to the hand.

Speaking of the devil, he arrived out of thin air.

"Is my number one fighter ready?"

It was clear to Link now. This man had to know something, didn't he? He got out his sword and prepared himself.

Mario tried to wave off the comment and reject the order but the hand paused his movements and forced out a classic "okey dokey." From him.

"Now then… on the count of 3! Let's hear it for the first match of the tournament!"

Mario gulped down his shock and prepared for the worst.

"3!"

Link readied his bow and arrow and aimed at the plumber.

"2!"

Mario saw this and got into his fighting position.

"1!"

The two we're fully ready to put an end to his as soon as possible.

"Go!"
