3rd Person POV with Nat

The group that was sent back to 2014 and had landed on the planet Morag was made of Nat, Clint, Rhodey, and Nebula with Nat and Clint going after the Soul Stone and Rhodey and Nebula going after the Power Stone.

Rhodey was guiding the pod that he and Nebula would take out of the Benetar,

"Alright. Bring it down low. Right on that line. That's it. Down, down."

When Clint and Nat spoke respectively,

"Hey, can we hurry it up?"

"Guys, chop-chop. Come on. We're on a clock."

Nebula coming out from the ship after having set the autopilot to Vormir as Rhodey told the two of them with a hint of sarcasm,

"All that is really helpful."

After the pod had been fully lowered, Rhodey gave Nat a hug as he told her,

"Take care, okay?"

"Yeah."

"Take that stone and come back. No messing around."

"Hey. You got this." Clint told Rhodey as they fist bumped before bro-hugging as Rhodey answered,

"Let's get it done. Yes, sir."

"See you back." Nat told them as she and Clint walked back into the Benatar before Rhodey called out,

"You guys watch each other's six!"

The two of them looked back with smiles as Clint replied,

"Yeah."

After they boarded the ship, the hatch closed behind them so that autopilot could take over and direct the ship off Morag in the direction of Vormir.

As the ship begins to jump through space in a blinding tunnel of stars, Nat and Clint looked at each other in awe as he awed,

"It's a long way from Budapest."

Natasha just laughs before her face fell a bit and Clint noticed before realizing what might be up and told her,

"Hey, just cause she doesn't call you 'Mom' yet doesn't mean she doesn't love you like one. She's made that very clear over the years."

"Yeah I know but.. It just feels weird that I'm hoping for her to call me that when I already know she had a mom and that maybe she's not ready to move on but… I don't know…" Nat trailed off trying to focus on the blinding display of zooming stars instead and the dashboard beeped to inform them they were about to arrive at their destination so Clint told her,

"Talk to her about it."

Right before they halted to a stop outside of the planet's atmosphere, the autopilot directed the ship to land on the surface and the two of them disembarked to take in their surroundings.

"Wow… Under different circumstances, this would be totally awesome." Clint spoke up before they started heading toward the mountain in the distance and had managed to climb up towards the top when they stopped and Nat complained,

"I bet the raccoon didn't have to climb a mountain."

"Technically, he's not a raccoon, you know." Clint pointed out but Nat rebutted,

"Whatever. He eats garbage."

"Welcome." They heard a voice behind them and they immediately drew their weapons to see a spectral form of Red Skull from the stories Steve had told them as well as known history videos

"Natasha, daughter of Ivan. Clint, son of Edith." Red Skull greeted them but Nat demanded,

"Who are you?"

"Consider me a guide. To you, and to all who seek the Soul Stone."

"Oh, good. You tell us where it is. Then we'll be on our way." Nat spoke with faux sweetness in her voice but Red Skull chuckled and told her,

"Ah, liebchen, if only it were that easy."

They were led through the mountain archway to the edge of a cliff that overlooked a large drop.

"What you seek lies in front of you... as does what you fear." Red Skull explained motioning to the cliff.

"The stone is down there?" Nat questioned looking over the edge.

"For one of you. For the other... In order to take the stone, you must lose that which you love. An everlasting exchange. A soul, for a soul."

The gravity of the exchange finally sank in and a few seconds later Nat is sitting on a rock nearby with Clint watching Red Skull as he spoke with fake nonchalance,

"How's it going? Jesus… Maybe he's making this shit up." Clint whispered the last part to Nat and she argued,

"No. I don't think so."

"Why, 'cause he knows your Daddy's name?"

"I didn't... Thanos left here with the stone without his daughter... It's not a coincidence…"

"Yeah…"

"Whatever it takes..."

"Whatever it takes…"

Nat stood up and stood in front of Clint as reminded told him,

"If we don't get that stone, billions of people stay dead."

"Then I guess we both know who it's gotta be…"

"I guess we do…"

Clint grabbed a hold of Nat's hand and she gripped it as they looked at each other before Clint trailed out,

"I'm starting to think.. we mean different people here, Natasha."

"For the last five years I've been trying to do one thing; Get to right here. That's all it's been about. Bringing everybody back."

"Oh, don't you get all decent on me now."

"What, you think I wanna do it? I'm trying to save your life, you idiot."

"Yeah, well, I don't want you to, because I– Natasha, you know what I've done. You know what I've become."

"I don't judge people on their worst mistakes."

"Maybe you should."

"You didn't."

There was a moment of silence before Clint broke it with a whispered,

"You're a pain in my ass, you know that?"

They leaned their foreheads against each other and stayed that way for a few seconds before Clint "relented,"

"Okay. You win."

Before he smiled and knocked Nat to the ground telling her,

"Tell my family I love them."

Nat pulled him down to the ground before getting up herself to ready her Widow's Bite and retort,

"You tell them yourself."

Shooting Clint to electrocute him as she made a run for the cliff until Clint shook off the device and bolted up to shoot an explosive arrow in front of Nat to knock her down so Clint could make the run for the cliff, tossing aside his bow to do so.

However, just as Clint jumped off the edge of the cliff, Nat managed to tackle him midair, attach a grappling hook to his belt, and tried to let herself fall but he managed to grab her wrist at the last second leaving them both dangling above the ground hundreds of feet up in the air.

"Damn you!" Clint told Nat as he held the wire with one hand and her hand in the other leaving him dangling in the middle unable to grab Nat's hand with his other one or else he'd either doom them both… or just Nat…

"Let me go…" Nat whispered gently.

"No.. you've got a kid to talk to…"

"She's who I'm doing this for… it's what parents do for their kids… you should know this… just.. tell her I love her.. please…"

"No... Please, no…" Clint started to beg but Nat remained scary calm as she spoke softly,

"It's okay…"

"Please–" Clint's plea was cut off as Nat kicked the wall forcing Clint to let go of her and she fell to the ground as Clint yelled, "NO!"

Just as Nat collided with the ground, back in their present, Ash put a hand on her core as she felt a sharp tug on her core for a split second.

Meanwhile back with Clint, he had caught a glimpse of Nat's body on the ground that sent his heart shattering before a light was sent up into the clouds above and a flash of light forced him to pass out.

When he came to, he was lying half submerged in a large pool of water under the starry sky far away from the mountain and after he got up he realized the Soul stone was in his hand.

Realizing that meant Nat was truly gone, he hit the ground out of sorrow for his friend and dreaded how he was going to tell the others… especially Ash…

Once he activated his Quantum Suit and made it back to the Quantum Realm where the others all reunited they all materialized back on the Platform and looked around at each other.

"Did we get them all?" Bruce asked everyone.

"Defin'ly feels like it." JJ held up her hands as they sparked up and she and Ash seemed to come back to life more with the power of the Infinity Stones within existence near them again but Ash still had her hand on her core with a worried expression on her face.

"You telling me this'll actually work?" Rhodey asked excitedly as he held the Power Stone orb in his hand but the moment of excitement was snuffed out when Clint dropped to his knees and the thud echoed making everyone quiet down before they realized someone was missing,

"Clint, where's Nat?" Bruce questioned and Clint just looked down at the ground with tears starting to come back up, a few falling out when Ash asked, her voice wobbling and sounding close to the edge of desperation,

"Where is she?"

He looked Ash in the eyes before he shook his head and Ash's gaze broke away as she stared ahead at nothing in particular and everyone else got the unspoken message; Nat had sacrificed herself for the mission.

Everyone stayed quiet before Bruce fell to his knees as well and punched the floor in grief as Ash hid her face in her hands and started to sob quietly, her cries stabbing the hearts of everyone around her…

AN- On that sad note, guess who turned 20 today! I had this chapter finished up since last week but I wanted to hold off on posting it till today as my gift to you all who actually read my story and to thank you for sticking with me all these years I've been writing this fanfic.
