Disclaimer: I do not own Vampire Diaries, just Winnie.
A/N: Surprise! This is actually where I got bogged down with life and my muse left me without a note or a glance. I hope you enjoy! Please let me know what you think.
"Eight ball, middle pocket," Bonnie calls as she lines up her shot. She hits the cue ball and watches as it connects with the eight ball that is sent careening into the middle pocket. She straightens up and laughs at the look of defeat on Matt's face as he stares at the pool table.
"We won! We won!" Winnie sings from her side as she does a weird foot shuffle in front of Tyler rubbing it in.
Tyler rolls his eyes at the girls. "I want a rematch. I don't know how, but I feel like I've been cheated."
"You felt like we cheated all three times?" Bonnie asked with an eyebrow raised.
"No… but the last one went by quicker so it was definitely a fluke."
Bonnie made eye contact with Winnie before breaking out into laughter. "Fine. I need a break and then I'll be ready to kick your ass some more."
Damon watched the laughing teens from his perch at the bar. His mind replaying the conversation with Elena from a couple of weeks ago. It was the same old shit. I love you, but I love Stefan more. It's always going to be Stefan. Elena was more like Katherine than she cared to admit. Pitting brothers against each other for her affections was the doppelgänger curse, and he was sick of being caught in it. At least Katherine was more frank about her manipulations, whereas Elena gave him false hope that she disguised as friendship. He was tired of fighting his brother. He was tired of coming in second, unworthy of being number one.
This time he'll take her decision for what it is and close the door on Elena. Not permanently. Besides the flirting and doe-eyed looks, she was a good friend and these days he needed that. Maybe now was the time to move on from a face that he's spent the last century and a half obsessed over. Plus, it was getting boring he needed a new challenge.
Focusing his attention back on the girls, Damon zeroed in on Winnie. She had grown to be very beautiful. All Bennett women were. Bonnie hated him so he left her alone, but Winnie was a new face which was refreshing in such a small town. Damon reflected back on his barely there existence as the guardian of the Bennett line. Damon has known of each Bennett witch born since he was turned. He remembered Winnie and Bonnie being joined at the hip from when they were babies, so it came as a surprise that when he returned to Mystic Falls that Winnie was MIA. Now that she was back it would be interesting to see how the dynamic among the Scooby gang would change.
Deciding that it was high time he reintroduced himself, Damon waited as the Bennett's approached him to get to their destination. "Well, well, well so the long lost Bennett witch has returned." Damon said turning to eye Winnie up and down, "and my how you've grown."
"Gross," Winnie deadpanned before she got a good look at him. "Hmm…Crazy eyes, dark hair, and a smirk that I just want to wipe of your smug face, you must be Damon."
"Ooh! Kitty has claws. I like that," he winked, "you forgot sexy."
"I didn't."
Damon rolled his eyes before turning his attention to an amused Bonnie. "You, little witch, have been avoiding my calls, but after watching you flirt with Klaus there it all makes sense. I didn't peg you for sleeping with the enemy." he said sparing a glance at the Original.
"Me avoiding you has nothing to do with Klaus, you're just annoying," Bonnie responded. "Besides if it has anything to do with what you were telling me a few days ago I already told you I don't care."
"C'mon Bonnie! If anyone knows Katherine, it's me and I know she's up to something."
Bonnie let out a sigh.
Winnie rolled her eyes, "Dude, take a hint."
Damon's eyes flashed as he turned his attention to Winnie. "Look little witch. You're fairly new to the happenings here in Mystic Falls, but Katherine is dangerous and the sooner I figure out what's going on the better."
"Well, look here you psychotic prick I don't too much care about who or a what Katherine is, but you're getting on my last nerve," Winnie shot back. With a little concentration she watches as Damon crumples to the ground holding his head. "Holy crap!" she whispered gleefully before looking at Bonnie. "It worked."
Bonnie stepped over Damon laughing as she and Winnie continued towards the bathroom. Bonnie glanced back at Damon as he picked himself up off the ground with a scowl and then to Klaus who watched in amusement.

Bonnie and Winnie exited the bathroom to find no signs of Damon. Weaving through the bar they make their way back to the pool tables when they're stopped by a voice.
"Winnie?"
Winnie turns to see a tall and broad-chested guy. "Jeremy?! Ohmygod!" She launches herself into his arms and giggles as Jeremy picks her up spinning her around before setting her back on her feet. "You've gotten so tall and you've definitely filled out! Where's that scrawny kid who used to follow us around with his sketchpad"
"I grew up." He laughed before turning to greet Bonnie.
"Well you can come and watch Bonnie and I beat Matt and Tyler in another round of pool. You would think after being beaten three times in a row they would be tired, but no. Plus, I need you to catch me up on everything Jeremy."
"Sure! It's about time someone knocked Tyler down a peg or two."
The trio migrate back to their friends in the corner of the bar to catch up with their friends.

Klaus and Elijah sit nursing their drinks as they talk quietly back and forth while keeping their eyes on the Bennett's and their ragtag group of friends. Klaus watches as Bonnie breaks off from the group and made her way to the bar while stealing glances his way. He heard her ask the bartender for the tab in the back.
"It's been taken care of," The bartender says while he waved to Klaus.
Bonnie raises an eyebrow and when her eyes connected with his she gave him a half smile before walking towards him. Klaus barely heard when Elijah excused himself to take a call.
"Thank you. You really didn't have to do that."
"My pleasure, love. It's not every day I have two powerful protégés under my wing. I thought it was cause to celebrate." Klaus watched in amusement as Bonnie rolled her eyes
"Are you sure that was all?"
"What are you insinuating Miss Bennett."
Bonnie stared back at him unflinching before inching closer to him not caring if her friends see her. "I don't know. I thought maybe you were trying to impress me." She said in a low voice.
Klaus reached out placing a hand on her waist halting her movements. "I wasn't. I'm aware it takes more than paying a bar tab to impress you."
"Oh…"
"Yes. I was thinking jewelry," Klaus quirked his eyebrow with a smirk. "Do you like diamonds?"
Bonnie laughs at the suggestion as Klaus watches her every move. "Diamonds are a bit too much. Keep it simple."
"Hmmm…"
"Yea?"
"In that case Miss Bennett…"
"Bonnie!" Caroline called from across the bar.
Klaus chanced a glance at her friends as they waited before turning his attention to Bonnie who stood watching him closely. "In the spirit of honesty I think it best that I speak with you at another time. Your friends are waiting."
Bonnie nodded at the clear dismissal but gave him a tiny smile backing away, "You were so close."
Klaus catches her hand in his and kisses her knuckles, "no need to worry, love. I'm a patient man. Elijah and I will see you and your dear cousin at the Manor tomorrow at 1:00pm."
Bonnie nods as she takes back her hand.
"Don't be late."
"When am I ever." She throws over her shoulder.

Bonnie and Winnie entered the foyer of Grams house while they laughed and giggled about their friends.
Winnie was walking to the living room when she felt a shift and everything went black. She didn't hear Bonnie call her name, then Bonnie touched her.
"Bonnie!" Winnie yelled as she watched in horror as the man quickly descended upon Bonnie's fallen figure. Struggling against the arms that encircled her pinning her arms to her side, Winnie tried in vain to reach her cousin. Her magic was depleted and she was too weak to free herself from her captor. Winnie sighed in relief as she watched Bonnie rise from the forest ground to face the man head on.
"Haven't you had enough, little girl?" the figure asked standing over Bonnie.
"I could ask you the same," Bonnie spat as she reached out a hand and sent the man flying. "Aren't you sick of me kicking your ass?" Bonnie slowly rose from the ground as she faced the man once again.
Mustering up all of her strength and power Winnie broke free taking the person behind her by surprise as they yelped in pain. She made a move to reach Bonnie's side but was quickly apprehended again by the nameless face behind her.
"I'm sorry, little mouse." A familiar voice whispered in her ear. "I promised her I wouldn't let you get hurt."
"I can't let her do it alone," Winnie cried as she continued her struggle.
"She's not. Look!"
Up ahead Klaus appeared at Bonnie's side reaching for her hand. "It's almost time, love. Are you ready?" he asked looking her in the eyes.
"Yes" Bonnie replied as she turned her gaze back to the unnamed man before them. Bonnie raised both of her hands and began chanting in Latin and with each word uttered the man before her grew visibly weaker as he began to desiccate.
"NOW!" Bonnie yelled to Klaus. In a blur, Klaus was in front of the man and smiled before he whispered something in his ear before his hand burst through the man's chest extracting his heart. Klaus squeezed the heart until it turned to dust and turned back to Bonnie with a smile.
The figure behind Winnie let her go and she quickly rushed to Bonnie's side hugging her. "You did it!"
"We did it." Bonnie replied returning her embrace. After they let go Bonnie reached for Klaus' hand, but before he could reach her Bonnie let out a blood-curdling scream as her knees buckled and she hit the ground.
"You thought that was the end, my dear?" A woman asked as she appeared. "Mikael may have reached his end, but you will soon join him." With a flick of her wrist, she sent Bonnie flying into a tree before she collapsed into convulsions.
"Bonnie!" Winnie screamed as she rushed to her side and pulled Bonnie's head into her lap. "Bonnie? Can you hear me? Tell me what to do to fix it." she pleaded with Bonnie as she lay still in her lap.
"NO!" Klaus roared. He hurled himself towards the unnamed witch and separated her head from her body before falling to his knees next to Bonnie. Klaus reached for her hand and brought his other to his mouth to rip into his wrist. "Come on, love, just one sip." He pleaded as he dribbled his blood into her open mouth.
Winnie watched helplessly as Klaus tried to get Bonnie to drink from his wrist. Thinking quickly, Winnie cradled Bonnie to her chest as she put her right hand on Bonnie's chest and chanted spell after spell to save her. Klaus and Winnie grew frantic when they saw that their combined attempts were failing.
Bonnie coughed up blood as she struggled to catch her breath. With a final look at the two people she loved most in the world she closed her eyes. "I'm sorry." She whispered before she took a final breath and lay lifeless unaware of the anguished and desperate cries above her.
Winnie gulped in air as she opened her eyes and frantically looked around until she met the wide eyes of Bonnie. "What the fuck was that?" she groaned.
"That was a vision. It looks like I died, again." Bonnie said.
