Harry panted as he ran through the hallways, his long brown curls bouncing over his shoulders. Students watched him with confusion, never having seen 'Hermione' sprinting so hard before.

Harry bounded through the portrait door and darted up the stairs to the boys' dormitory. Inside, Ron took one look at him and cried, "Hermione, you can't just barge in here!"

Harry wheezed as he rushed over to his bed and fell onto it. He rolled over and choked out, "I'm Harry—not Mione."

"Harry? Did you Polyjuice yourself to look like Mione?" Ron asked, for once astute in his observation. When Harry nodded, Ron frowned. "Why?"

"Thought… she was… in trouble," Harry panted, closing his eyes to rest for a bit. Once he'd caught his breath, he sat upright and said, "I wanted to find out why she was acting so weird—she's been spending less time with us; she says she's in the library, but I checked the Map once and she wasn't there!"

"So, what did you find out?" Ron hurried over to sit on Harry's bed, curious about Harry's findings.

"Malfoy tried to make a move on me—her!" Harry cried, his voice shrill and high-pitched. "Fortunately, I decked him and kneed him in the balls for good measure."

"Great job, mate!" Ron high-fived him with a huge grin. "But… why would Malfoy try something like that?"

"No idea, but at least, he won't do something so stupid again."

Meanwhile, Draco stumbled into the Room of Requirement, where he found Hermione swaying to the soft music playing through a Muggle record player. The smile on her face turned into a frown.

"Draco? What happened?" She hurried over to his side to help him, but Draco pushed her away.

"Don't pretend you're innocent, Granger! How dare you insult me in front of so many people?" Grimacing at the pain in his groin, he hobbled towards the lone couch in the room.

"I… don't know what happened." Hermione sounded confused by his accusation.

"You punched me and kneed me in the groin, you daft bint!"

"No, I didn't! Why would you say that?" she cried, confused but ready to fight him tooth and nail.

"You left me there humiliated!"

They'd been secretly dating, and though Hermione had said she wasn't opposed to going public, Draco had had his worries about the hullabaloo their relationship would cause. Today, on their six months' anniversary, he'd decided to surprise her by kissing her in public, but she'd violently attacked him instead. The pain and humiliation was nothing compared to the heartbreak her actions had caused.

"I did nothing of the sort! You're going mad, Draco!"

"I was mad to think you weren't ashamed of us… I was wrong." He stood up, but Hermione lunged, knocking him down and kissing him fiercely, distracting him from his anger.

"I. Did. No. Such. Thing," she snarled in between kisses, and though Draco wondered what the reality was, he was rather inclined to accept her kisses as an apology.
