Recently, I randomly remembered SwarmX's YouTube video where he cut and edited together clips of Chase and Skye to the Taylor Swift song "Love Story", and I had the urge to watch it again (and, if you enjoy that ship and haven't seen it yet, I suggest you watch it too). Upon doing so I remembered not only how much I liked the job he did with the video, but also how much I enjoyed the song's coherent story with the twist proposal at the end.

Considering I'd never really heard it outside of the Chase x Skye tribute video in question, I decided to give it a proper listen-to on Friday night, the 15th, and loved it so much that I listened to it non-stop for essentially the next 48 hours. I'm not even a fan of the rest of her music; that one song just sticks out to me, so after missing SwarmX and the great writings he brought to this community, and after being doped up on Love Story for 2 days straight, I decided to log back into this account for the first time in, well, I'm not sure how long.

When I did so, I went to my messages, and I was greeted by a reminder: a reminder from a determined supporter of mine, GBThundaII, to finish something I'd started nearly 2 years ago and had completely forgotten about.

A few days after I published Friendship Day Feelings, he left a review giving praise and offering story ideas if I needed any, which I was happy to receive since the plot of FDF was simply something I'd come up with purely in my head as I was falling asleep over a number of nights. In a private message, I thanked him for his words and told him I couldn't guarantee a second story but I would gladly accept ideas for a Marshall x Everest fic to change things up. He provided me with 3 idea summaries and when I'd found the one I liked most, I actually started writing it fairly soon after; but by November, after I'd already been facing some indecision related to how I was going about writing the story, something came up that easily drained my free time to write as well as my motivation to, so I kept the document on my iPad but didn't know when or even if I'd return to it. At that point I'd already written almost 4,000 words.

Months passed, and more months passed. Sometimes I'd see it sitting there, collecting dust in my Notes, and other times something might've reminded me of it; but I just hadn't had any boost in motivation to finish writing it. I was planning to leave it alone for good and just accept that I wasn't going to finish it, and I said as much to GBThundaII when he messaged me again in January 2021 to ask about news on a second story. As time went on and I progressively thought less and less about this unfinished story, eventually forgetting it entirely, he messaged me two more times, one in July 2021 which I recall reading and just not responding to, and again 8 months later in March 2022, which I don't even remember if I'd seen. At first I wished he'd just understand that I wasn't planning to continue the story, but once I logged back in recently and saw that he wanted to read my fanfiction badly enough to ask me about it over a year since I'd last even proven that I used the account, that was the main thing that gave me the boost that I needed. I went into Notes, found the file, and picked up where I left off.

Since then I've reread the full thing a couple of times and added/tweaked some things throughout it here and there either for the plot's sake or just for the writing to sound better, but, here it is. I give you my second and last fanfiction (or, who knows, maybe give it two years), Always There for You, with credit to GBThundaII for the title and basic plot/idea. I hope you enjoy!
