Chapter 16
Lilith sighed as she had a distant gaze in her eyes as she recalled the past events that lead to the downfall of the clan. "It happened eighteen years ago, just a month after Shiro was born actually, when the massacre happened." Lilith sighed as she sat herself down on the chair while Rias and Asia joined Shiro on the couch with Kuroka sitting in Shiro's lap in her cat form, much to Rias' annoyance.
[A much younger Lilith walked through the streets of the Katsura village. The village itself located in the centre of forest within the Gremory territory. Lilith walked with a smile on her face as she carried a bag filled with groceries and baby food.
"Well someone's happy today." Lilith paused when she heard a feminine voice behind her.
Lilith turned around to see another woman with black hair and green eyes. She wore a black dress and blue jeans with stiletto heels, she also had a large stomach revealing that she was pregnant. "Oh hello Nisha. How are you?" Lilith asked the woman.
"Oh I'm fine, just finished my visit for the Doctors." She replied as she craddled her belly. "They say I'm two weeks away until I give birth." She cheerful said.
Lilith gasped in joy and quickly walked over to Nisha. "That's great to hear! So have you thought of a name for her?" Lilith asked as she placed a hand on Nisha's belly with a smile.
Nisha smiled down at Lilith and nodded. "Yep, we've decided on calling her Synara."
"Synara...that's a great name for her." Lilith giggled as she removed her hand as she felt her shopping start to slip from her grasp.
"Yep but enough about that. How's your little one doing?" Nisha asked. "If I recall, you gave birth to Shiro a week ago right?" She asked as she placed her finger on her chin in thought.
Lilith smiled and nodded as she felt joy in heart. "Shiro's doing well. He's been such a quiet boy sometimes I worry, not that I'm complaining of course. I know that's every Mother's bane, a loud child." She giggled. "And Artemis, bless him, he's doing so well. Between his duties as Village leader, wielder of the Boosted gear and now a Father, he's doing an amazing job." She sighed as she thought back to how frightened her Husband was when he learned he was a Father.
"He's such an amazing man Lilith. You're lucky you met him." Nisha replied with a sigh. "It's crazy to think that an outsider was chosen to receive the Boosted gear and then became leader of the clan." She said before looking around and leaned in close. "Although I do prefer Artemis over Keizer." She whispered before chuckling. "Well I should hurry on back before the hubby worries. I'll see you in a week Lilith." Nisha said as she waved goodbye.
"Byyyyyeeee~" Lilith called back as she waved goodbye before continuing on her way. It took Lilith another half-an-hour to reach her home, which was basically a mansion since it also served as the town hall of the village. "I'm hoooooome~" She called out as she opened the front door of her home before she smiled as she saw her husband slouched in his chair, rubbing his eyes, and her new born baby fast asleep in his arms.
Artemis stopped rubbing his eyes when he heard his wife's voices before he smiled when he saw her. Artemis had medium length silver-hair that was tied in a ponytail and red eyes. He wore a black tank-top underneath and black dresspants with black boots. He also had a wolftooth necklace. "Heya sweetheart." He softly said as he sat up straight as she walked over to him and the sleeping Shiro.
"How are my two favourite men doing?" Lilith asked as she passionately kissed Artemis before gently tickling Shiro's stomach. Said baby-Shiro started to rouse from his sleep and upon seeing his mother, he started to giggle and raise his arms to her. "You want to be picked up?" Lilith smiled as she placed her bags on the ground and picked up her baby. "Alley oop~" Lilith cooed as she craddled her baby.
Artemis watched his wife hold their child before yawning. "We've been okay. I just managed to get him to sleep but of course, a mother's touch doesn't even make him cry." Artemis chuckled.
Lilith would laugh alongside him. "He knows which one between us has the gentler touch." She smiled before placing Shiro back in Artemis' arms...who started crying when he left his mother's arms. "See~" She chuckled as she picked him back up. "Now could you put the shopping away please~"
Artemis rolled his eyes before standing up and flicked Lilith in her forehead. "Don't get cocky cause you can stop his crying. I'm determained for his first word to be 'Daddy' or 'Dada' or some varient of the word." He cackled as he grabbed Lilith's shopping and walked towards the furthest door on the right, which lead into their actual home since the room they were in was a large and empty room with two chairs at the furthest end of the room.
Lilith rolled her eyes and sat down in the chair that was next to Artemis' and Shiro's crib. "Your first word won't be Dada, it'll be mommy won't it." She cooed as she tickled Shiro's stomach. "Can you say 'Mommy'? Come on, Mom-me."
"Hey that's cheating."
Lilith turned her head towards the door Artemis walked out of while sticking her tongue out at him. "Early bird gets the worm~" She chuckled before going wide eyed as there was a loud boom from outside followed by the building shaking, which made Shiro start to cry. "What was that?" Lilith questioned as she stood up.
Artemis narrowed his eyes and glared out the window as he walked up to his wife and child. "I'm...not sure." He said and was about to walk towards the door when a man with ginger hair burst through the door. "Kaelem!" Artemis yelled as he ran over to help the man.
"Ar-Artemis..." The man coughed up blood. "The-The village...it's under attack." He gasped, shocking both Artemis and Lilith. "F-Fallen Angels are attacking the village." He murmered before his body slumpped in Artemis' arms.
Artemis' gently laid Kaelem down before noticing the hole in his stomach. "How the hell did Fallen Angels get through the barrier?" Lilith asked her husband.
"I'm not sure...the only way through the barrier is if someone...someone let them in." Artemis trailed off before his lips curled into a snarl and he stood up. "Lilith...take Shiro to our room and call Sirzechs and Zeoticus, tell them what's happening. I'm going to see what's happening and see if I can help as many people I can." He said before he was suddenly clad in the Scale mail and before Lilith could get a word in, the jet's on his back burst into life and he shot out the door and into the skies.
Once he was high above the village, Artemis' eyes narrowed as he saw multiple fires blazing through different parts of the village while Fallen Angels were throwing spears of light at the people below. 'Ddraig, Ddraig wake the hell up.'
[Hmm? What's going on?] Ddraig asked before he saw what was happening through Artemis' eyes. [How is this happening!]
'I don't know but I intend to find out.' Artemis said as he shot towards the closest Fallen Angel. Artemis slammed into the Fallen Angel and continued until they both slammed into the ground and once the dust cleared, the Fallen Angel's head was nothing more then a red paste. "Quickly, get out of here." Artemis yelled to the two Katsura's he saved.
"Thank you Artemis." The first one thanked, a woman with short brown hair. "But what's going on? How did Fallen Angel's get through the barrier?" She asked as she slowly climbed to her feet before wincing as her ankle was twisted at an awkward angle.
"I'm not sure...but I intend to find out." He told her before looking towards the man that was next to her. "Get yourselves out of here. You, help her out."
The man looked at the dead Fallen Angel before nodding. "Got it Artemis and I think there's more survivours down the street." He said as he picked the woman in a bridal carry before he started to run towards the town hall, as that was were the designated evacuation teleportation circle was.
Artemis turned away from the two and prepared to launch into the skies before freezing as he heard a bloodcurdling scream come from behind him. He turned around in time to see a Spear of Light, that was thrown in front of them, blow up and the following explosion disintegrated their bodies.
"How pathetic." A suave and bored sounding voice came from above Artemis and when he looked up, his eyes went wide as he saw a Fallen Angel with long, black hair and 10-black wings.
"Kokabiel." Artemis snarled as he flew into the air before hovering face to face with the Fallen Angel. "Is this your doing? Are you the one that's behind this?" Aretmis questioned angrily.
Kokabiel threw his head back and roared with laughted. "Ahhh Artemis, are you sure you have time to be worrying about that when your Kinsmen are dying all around you?" Kokabiel questioned before snapping his fingers. A second later did dozens upon dozens of spears of light appear in the sky. "Tell me Artemis, do you think you can save them all?" Kokabiel asked with a savage smirk before letting the spears drop and hurtle towards the ground.
'Shit, Ddraig I need a max boost to the jets.' Artemis quickly said to Ddraig as the jet's on his back burst to life.
[DRAGON BOOSTER 10x! MAX JET!]
"RED METEOR!" Artemis roared as his body was coated in a crimson glow before he became a blur that danced through the skies, intercepting any spears of light that he could...but he couldn't destroy them all as some of them managed to hit the ground, exploding on contact or impaling the fleeing Katsura's below. 'Shit there's still too many of them, not to mention the other Fallen Angels.' Artemis growled as he suddenly appeared behind Kokabiel. "In that case, I'll take out the leader!" Artemis roared as he soared towards Kokabiel with his arm pulled back.
"Mirror world..." A voice droned followed by a full body mirror appearing behind Kokabiel and a second later, a shadowy version of Artemis shot out of the mirror and intercepted him.
Once Artemis collided with the clone, he froze in the air and glanced towards the ground as he saw a man with dark brown hair and hetrochromatic eyes, his right eye was blue and his left eye was brown. "What the, Kaizer what the hell do you think you're doing?" Artemis asked as he watched the man stand there. "Well answer me?" Artemis demanded before quickly dashing to the side to dodge a spear of light.
The man called Kaizer, huffed before glaring up at Artemis. "And here I thought you were smart." He grolwed before pointing a finger at him. "I've come to reclaim what you stole." He shouted.
"Are you...YOU BETRAYED THE CLAN FOR SOMETHING SO PETTY!" Artemis roared in anger.
"PETTY!" Kaizer roared back. "THE BOOSTED GEAR IS MY BIRTHRIGHT AND SO WAS LILITH! THEY WERE BOTH MEANT TO BE MINE!" Kaizer roared as multiple fireballs appeared in the air around him. "YOU HAD NO RIGHT TO STEAL THEM BOTH! INFERNO BARRAGE!" Kaizer roared as thrusted his arms towards Artemis and sent the hundreds of fireballs towards the man.
"LAIR OF THE WELSH DRAGON!" A large red aura suddenly appeared around Artemis which took shape of a large Welsh Dragon and used it's wing to block the incoming fireballs, each one exploading on contact. Once all the fireballs had been expelled and the dust cleared, the aura surrounding Artemis vanished. "If I'd known you would betray the clan...I would've killed you that day without hesitation." Artemis sneered.
Kaizer, angered at how Artemis didn't have a scratch on him. "Enough of this Artemis. It's time to end it." Kaizer growled as he held out his hand to the side and summoned a large magic circle, on that radiated Demonic energy.
Artemis eyed the magic circle before his eyes went wide. "Kaizer you didn't." He breathed before growling. "THAT'S A FORBIDDEN TECHNIQUE! HOW THE HELL DID YOU LEARN IT!" Artemis roared as he shot towards Kaizer...but it was already too late as Kaizer had finished the magic circle.
"Forbidden technique: Soul tap..." Kaizer declaired as he aimed the Magic circle at Artemis. "I'm taking what's mine." He said, his voice cold and emotionless.
Blackish-purple tendrils shot out of the magic circle and raced towards Artemis, who stopped middair and began flying about, dodging any tendrils that came towards him but Artemis knew he wouldn't be able to dodge them forever. The Soul tap was a spell created by the first Katsura and his wife to seal away souls in people and items and once it was cast and a target was selected by the user...the spell wouldn't stop until the target's soul was sealed.
The one downside to using the spell was that it could only be used by the same person once.
Artemis soared through the air as the tendrils followed close behind him. 'Shit I can't keep going forever.' He thought before stopping middair and quickly dived down as spears of light appeared in front of him. 'Plus there's Kokabiel and the other Fallen Angels...' Artemis quickly turned around as what resembled missile pods appeared on his shoulders. "DRACO-MISSILES!" Artemis yelled as the pods started to glow a bright red before dozens of balls of Red energy shot out and intercepted the tendrils, destroying most of them.
However, for each one Artemis destroyed, another would quickly take it's place. "You can't run Artemis." Kaizer called up to him. "Sooner or later you will be caught and the Boosted gear will be mine and after I'm done with you, I'll kill both Lilith and the kid."
Artemis went wide eyed as he heard Kaizer declaration before his gaze quickly travelled to where Lilith and Shiro were hiding. 'Shit...I hope they're okay. I need to finish this up soon and get back to them.' Artemis thought before cursing as he was almost touched by a tendril. 'Come on Sirzechs, Zeoticus. Where the hell are you?'
With Lilith...
Lilith watched as he husband equipped the Scale mail before shooting out of the door and into the skies. 'Stay safe Artemis...' Lilith thought before her gaze went down to her child as he suddenly started crying. "Shh shh shh. It's okay Shiro, It's okay. Your father is going to be fine. We're going to be fine." She cooed as she quickly turned and ran towards the chairs at the end of the room.
Once reaching the chairs, Lilith quickly placed Shiro in his cot before she walked past them and traced a large magic circle in the ground. Once the circle was complete, part of the floor split apart and opened up to reveal an underground passage. Quickly grabbing Shiro, Lilith would make her way down the stairs, closing up the passage behind her as only she or Artemis could open it.
Lilith rapidly descended down the stairs into a large room with a sliver and black magic circle drawn on the floor. 'Okay, time to call Sirzechs and Zeoticus.' Lilith thought as she placed Shiro in the spare cot that was there and gently rocked him as he refused to stop crying. Lilith quickly summoned a small golden disc, about the size of a pocket watch, and pumped her magic into it. "Hello, Hello? Sirzechs, Zeoticus can you hear me?" Lilith desperately said. "The village is under attack by Fallen Angels, we need help. Artemis has gone out to fight them alone and I'm with Shiro. We need help." She said but only got static and white noise in return.
"Hello, Sirzechs, Zeoticus we need help." She pleaded once more. "Can anyone hear me?"
"Lil-happen-hear..." Suddenly, Venelana's distorted voice came through the device but there was too much static for Lilith to understand her.
'Why is this happening? I should be able to use this no matter where I am.' She thought before trying again, this time increasing her magic output. "Venelana, I need you to tell Sirzechs or Zeoticus or even Grayfia. The village is under attack by Fallen Angels. Artemis has gone to fight them but he won't last long. Please, we need help."
"Calm down-Understand-attack?" Venelana questioned but again there was too much static. Suddenly the connection was cut leaving Lilith only with her own thoughts and a quiet Shiro.
Lilith's eyes went wide as she turned to look at Shiro as he suddenly went quiet before sighing in relief as Shiro was only sleeping. "Good boy." Lilith cooed as she gently ran her fingers across Shiro's cheek before she turned around as she heard someone coming down the stairs. Facing the stairs, Lilith held out her hands to the sides and conjured up twin fireballs before gasping in horror as she saw that it was Artemis, except his was missing his left arm and was bleeding from his abdomen. "Oh my Satan, Artemis what happened?" Lilith asked as she ran up to him and gently helped over to Shiro.
"Lilith...the village is lost." Artemis admitted through gritted teeth. "The Fallen Angels...Kokabiel was leading them." He sneered before wincing as Lilith gently set him down before slowly healing him.
"W-What! Why would Kokabiel be here?" Lilith asked her Husband as she tried to stop his bleeding but she couldn't. 'Why aren't his wounds closing? These aren't natural wounds...' She thought before her eyes widened as Artemis placed his hand atop hers.
"Lilith...we were betrayed." He told her with a grunt of pain as he slowly stood up. "Kokabiel and the other Fallen Angels...they were let in by Kaizer." He told her as he turned to face Shiro. "Kaizer...he used the Soul tap on me...he tried to steal the Boosted gear but I managed to cut off my arm in time so he only stole part of it." He said as he placed a clawed finger on Shiro's chest. "I'm giving Shiro the Boosted gear...and then I want you and Shiro to get out of here." He said as a soft green glow covered Shiro before the energy of the Boosted gear started to be absorbed by Shiro.
"Artemis what are you saying?" Lilith asked as she watched her husband give Shiro the Boosted gear. "Without the Boosted gear there's no way you'll be able to hold off against a Leader class Fallen Angel and Kaizer alone...at least let me help you." She said as Artemis picked Shiro up and placed him in her arms.
"Lilith please." He said as he placed his forehead against her's. "I've failed to protect the village...I can't lose you or Shiro." He said as he gently moved her into the magic circle just as there was a loud explosion upstairs. "Shit...should've known they would get here so soon." He sighed as he turned to face the stairs as sounds of rushing footsteps approached, growing louder by the second. "Lilith...I love you." He smiled at her before smiling as he snapped his fingers.
"Artemis wait!" Lilith called out before her vision blurred. After a second, her vision returned and she saw the house she used to live at before returning to the Katsura village in the underworld. Lilith would slowly drop to her knees, still craddling a sleeping Shiro, before she slowly started to sob and clutch Shiro tighter to her chest.]
"And...And that's it." Lilith hiccuped as she felt a lump in her throat. She coughed to clear her throat and wiped her eyes with her thumb. "That's the last time I saw you're father and how the Massacre happened." She sighed
After Lilith recounted the tragic events that happened eighteen years ago, the room was filled with an uncomfortable silence. Shiro's hair was shadowing his eyes, Rias was biting her lip and had her gaze averted and Asia was close to tears, covering her mouth in horror.
"I...I see why you kept this from me..." Shiro quietly muttered as he clenched his hands tight, his nails digging into his thighs. "Kokabiel and Kaizer...if I ever meet them...I'm gonna kill them for what they did." Shiro declared with anger in his eyes.
Lilith stared at Shiro before she shook her head. "Shiro...no." She told him. "Without the balance breaker...you don't stand a chance against Kokabiel or Kaizer." She sternly told him before standing up. "I'm not even sure if I could take them now...I've certainly gotten weaker in the past eighteen years."
"Mum." Shiro quickly stood up. "There's a chance we'll meet Kokabiel anyways since he's involved in all this and...and a few days ago Ddraig told me that both the White one has awoken and also Kaizer." He told her causing Lilith to narrow her eyes at her child.
Just as she was about to demand why he didn't tell her this, she paused before chuckling and sat back down, covering her face with a hand. "I have no room to judge you for keeping secrets..." Lilith muttered before her eyes went wide and the blood drained from her face.
The same thing happened to all the Devils in the room before Shiro ran out the room and slammed the front door open. "Who's there?" He called out as he felt an ominous presences outside the house.
"Yoooo-hooooo~ Little Devil Scum~" Freed's voice rang out from across the road as he stood there, waving about an Excalibur.
Upon seeing the Exorcist, Shiro's eyes narrowed and he summoned up the Boosted gear. "What do you want Freed?" He questioned just as the others joined him outside, all except Lilith.
"Well well~ If it isn't that traitores Witch Asia~ How are you doing my dear?" Freed questioned the moment his eyes fell upon Asia, who cowered and hid behind Shiro. "Anyways, now that the gang is all here. THERE'S SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO SAY HIIIIII~" He sang before pointing towards the skies just as an even more ominous and worse presence appeared.
Everyone slowly gazed up before anger filled everyone, even Kuroka, as they saw a Fallen Angel above them with 10-wings floating above. "Hello, Daughter of the Gremorys...my what splendid red-hair you have...it reminds me of your Brothers...it sickens me to look at." Kokabiel sneered, his piercing red eyes staring at Rias before they moved to Shiro for a split glance before he returned them to Rias.
"You must be Kokabiel, one of the leaders to the Fallen Angels?" Rias questioned as she narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms under her breasts.
Kokabiel smiled down at Rias and opened his mouth to say something before he quickly closed it and scowled before summoning ten spears of light that circled around him. He suddenly launched the spears out to intercept shards of ice that shot towards him. "Kokabiel..." Lilith's voice, filled with malice and venom, came from the rooftop. "You dare show your disgusting face at this house." She spat. Lilith knew her Son and Rias mentioned that Kokabiel was involved but she didn't expect the bastard himself to show up at her home.
Kokabiel glanced towards Lilith before smirking. "Ahhh if it isn't the last matriarch of that pathetic clan." He sneered before holding up a finger. "Ah ah, I would advise against that. Wouldn't want to hurt this one now would we?" He questioned as he held up a bloodied and bruised Irina by her neck.
"You bastard!" Shiro snarled, while he didn't care much for the ginger-haired Excalibur user he hated to see her manhandled by Kokabiel. "Let her go now." He yelled up, summoning the Boosted gear.
[BOOST!]
"Stop Shiro." Lilith growled through clenched teeth as she hopped down in front of the group. "If you do anything then he'll kill the girl...what do you want Kokabiel?" Lilith asked with a harsh glare.
Kokabiel smirked before gesturning to Rias. "Simple, if I attack your headquarters and the surrounding area...would your brother come help?" He questioned as his smirk grew wider.
Rias' eyes narrowed at the prospect of the Fallen Angel leader attacking her territory. "If you do that, you'll start another war between the three factions."
Kokabiel started to cackle at Rias' observation. "I hoped that Michael would come after me when I stole the Excaliburs but he only sent pathetic Exorcists and two children with Holy Swords." He said, lifting Irina up and tightened his hold on her neck. "I've been so bored ever since the last war ended, I've been plucking my wings for fun." He sighed. "Azazel and Shemhaza don't want another war. In fact Azazel couldn't care less since he's been collecting Sacred gears to study and research." He groaned in annoyance. "The Fallen Angels, Gods and the Devils are on the brink of all out war. All it would take is one little spark."
Everyone's eyes widened when they realised Kokabiel was actually going to start a new war between the four factions, but what he said next angered both Shiro and Lilith.
"I'm going to have the Devils start this war...in fact I tried to start this eighteen years ago."
"You...YOU BASTARD!" Shiro roared in anger before he was held back by Lilith and Kuroka. "YOU DESTROYED MY FAMILY. MY HOME. JUST TO TRY AND START A PETTY WAR!"
Kokabiel started to cackle. "I wouldn't call it petty." He shrugged before smiling down at Rias. "Sister of Lucifer, Rias Gremory and the last survivours of the Katsura clan." He sneered down at the group. "And there's also the sister of Leviathan, Sona Sitri, in this city. Your place of learning is chock full of magical power, ready to be released and cause total choas." He said before throwing his head back in laughter. "It's the perfect place to start the war!" He smiled down at the all before throwing Irina at them. "Oh and you can have this one back."
Shiro quickly scrambled to catch Irina's unconsciouss body with Asia by his side as she started to heal him before the silver haired teen looked up with rage in his eyes as Kokabiel had vanished along with Freed but his voice lingered. "Let's start a war!"
After the Fallen Angel and Exorcist had left, leaving the group alone with the only sounds being the soft humming coming from Asia's scared gear. Lilith sharply exhaled. "Kuroka...take Irina inside, restore her energy as best you can then join us at Kuoh academy but stick to the shadows until you're called upon." Lilith said, causing everyone to glance her way before their eyes went wide as her clothes started to vanish before they were replaced.
What she wore now was an azure-blue dress that went to her ankles with a slit in the right side of her leg, starting from her hip. Black roses and thorns wrapped around her legs which were attached to black stiletto-heels. "Rias, call your brother. Tell him what's happening." She stern ordered. "It's time to prevent a war kiddos."
Shiro stared up at his mother, eyes widened at her drastic change, before his eyes narrowed and he nodded as Kuroka took Irina off him. "As the last heir to the Katsura clan." Shiro suddenly said as he stood up and faced where Kuoh Academy was. "I will protect this city and my family." Suddenly, a beam of holy light shot up into the sky.
Within ten mintues of the beam appearing, Sona's peerage had already erected a barrier around the school and shortly after did Rias' group arrive accompanied by Lilith. "Rias." Sona greeted as she turned to face the group. "We've erected a barrier around the school...do you know what's happening?" She asked, oblivious to the situation.
"Kokabiel is planning on starting a new year." Lilith said as she walked past the shocked Sona and up to the barrier where she placed her hand on it and narrowed her eyes.
"Did you say Kokabiel!" Sona parroted before turning to Rias for confirmation, who nodded in response. "Have you called your brother Rias?" Sona asked causing Rias to sigh.
"I have...but he said he wouldn't arrive for another hour." She replied before smirking at Sona. "Shouldn't you at least call your Sister too?" Rias asked only to earn a scoff in return.
"Please Rias, be reasonable...Sirzechs will be more then enough and my sister will cause more harm then good."
"This barrier." Lilith's voice cut in sharply as everyone turned to look at her. "This won't be enough to hold back the power of a Fallen Angel leader." She said before a blackish-silver magic circle appeared spanning the entire height of the barrier. "Void Dimension." She chanted as the barrier started to shimmer slightly before it slowly started to become a deep blackish-purple and opaque. "There, that should enough to withstand whatever the hell Kokabiel is planning." She sneered as she removed her hand before aiming it at the floor and conjured up a magic circle.
"Wait Mum what did you just do?" Shiro asked with a raised eyebrow.
Lilith turned to her child before glancing at the barrier. "I used Sona's barrier as a guide and added my own spell which turned the inside into it's own pocket dimension. In short, no spells will break free." She grinned before taking a deep breath. "Alright kiddos, once we step on this magic circle." She gestured to the magic circle she created. "You'll be in for the fight for your lives. This fight will be harder then the match against Riser. You're lives will be on the line...but I promise that I will make sure each one of you kids come back alive." She declaired.
Smiles plastered the faces of everyone gathered, as such words lit a fire within them. "You heard her everyone." Rias spoke as she walked onto the magic circle with an air of confidence. "Let's make sure we all come back so we can continue living as a family." She said before looking over to Shiro. "Shiro, I want you on support if that's alright."
Shiro stared at both Rias and his Mother before joining them on the magic circle and smirked. "Heh, I'm guessing you want me to transfer power to you all?" He questioned before summoning the Boosted gear.
[BOOST!]
"That's okay with me." He smirked as he punched his fist into his palm. "Let's end this thing."
After that, and once everyone was in Lilith's magic circle, they were all teleported into the pocket dimension and were stood in the school field facing the giant beam of light, which originated from the four Excaliburs as they were all hovering under a large golden magic circle, each one at the four compass points. "What the hell is he trying to pull?" Shiro questioned as he eyed the magic circle in the sky.
"I heard he's been trying to fuse the four Excalibur fragments into one." Everyone quickly turned around when they heard Kokabiel's voice before spotting him in the sky sat on an extravagant looking chair. "Hmm so I'm guess this alternate dimension is your doing Katsura?" He questioned as he stared at the blackish-purple barrier with a bored expression.
"And if it is?"
"...It will be taken down post-haste." Kokabiel replied before grinning down at Rias. "So is Sirzechs coming? Or will it be Serafall?" He asked.
Rias narrowed her eyes at he Fallen Angel Leader. "Neither, you're dealing with us for the moment." She resonded and crossed her arms underneath her breasts as she continued to glare at Kokabiel.
Kokabiel clicked his tongue before snapping his fingers and summoned up a single spear of light and with a lazy flick of his fingers, he threw the spear towards the gym. The second the spear pierced the roof of the gym, there was a blinding flash followed by a deafening boom. What was left in place of the school gym was nothing more then a crater and dust.
'H-Holy shit...all that power from a single spear.' Shiro thought as he just stared, slack jawed in awe and horror, at the damage Kokabiel caused with a single spear.
[What's the matter Whelp? Scared?] Ddraig asked Shiro with a wide smirk.
'Heh you know it.' Shiro replied with a shakey smirk as his body trembled under the extremem Holy pressure. 'Hey Ddraig, no matter what happens...promise me you'll beat this guy for me.'
Ddraig stared at Shiro when he made his declaration before smirking and chuckled. [I'll beat him even if I have to turn your entire body into a Dragon.] The Dragon chuckled before he froze and his chuckle turned into a snarl and flames licked the sides of his mouth. [He's here.] The Dragon snarled.
It seemed like Lilith noticed the same thing Ddraig notice as he her hands balled into fists and her lips curled in a snarl. "Where is he?" She spoke up, making everyone raise their eyebrows in question...all except Kokabiel, who still wore his smirk.
"Ahhh seems like he's arrived right on time."
Shiro walked up to his mother and placed his hand on her shoulder. "Mum, what's wrong? Where is who? Why are you and Ddraig freaking out?"
Suddenly, the second Shiro questioned his mother there was a loud shattering noise, almost like glass being broken, as Lilith's Void Dimension was broken not only that, but the barrier that the School Council put up also shattered. "Hmph, you've gotten weaker Lilith." A male voice suddenly spoke up from nowhere, but it was a voice Lilith and Ddraig recognised all too well.
"Kaizer." Lilith snarled as two black magic circles appeared in each of her open hands. "Show yourself you damn snake." She snarled before her eyes locked onto a single space underneath Kokabiel.
Suddenly, a light blue portal appeared beneath Kokabiel and stepped out was a man wearing a tattered brown clock that covered his body and right arm. "Hmph..." The man's hetrochromatic eyes scanned over the group before landing on Shiro then Lilith. "You've gotten weaker Lilith...but I guess that's what happens when you give birth." He sighed before staring at Shiro. "Your magical abilities are transferred to the baby during the pregnancy...such a shame he seems so pathetically weak." He sneered at Shiro. "I've come to take what belongs to me boy."
Shiro stared at the man who his mother called Kaizer before his eyes turned to slits and his teeth sharpened into fangs. "So you're the bastard that betrayed the clan." He snarled.
[BOOST!]
"I'll make you pay for everything that you've done you bastard." He growled and aimed the Boosted Gear at Kaizer before his eyes went wide and he suddenly gripped his wrist in pain and fell to his knees. "W-What the hell is this?" He mumbled as he was suddenly comforted by Rias and his Mother, as well as Asia.
"Shiro? Shiro what's happening?" Lilith asked before her eyes went wide and she turned to face Kaizer, who was smirking and laughing. "What did you do you bastard!"
Kaizer continued to laugh before he gripped his cloak and tore it off his body to reveal his right arm which was nothing more then managled and deformed flesh that was a deep crimson and had a pulsating green gem in the middle of his hand. "It's clear he's reacting to this." He sneered, raising his arm so everyone could see it. "This is all thanks to that bastard you call a Husband." He snarled as he gripped the deformed Boosted gear. "If he just gave up what he stole, then I would've spare some of the Katsuras...obviously that brat wouldn't of been allowed to live but I would've given you a much stronger child."
"Shut up." Lilith snarled as she stood up and allowed her aura to fully leak out of her body. There was so much magical energy and pressure coming from Lilith that her hair would almost float on nothing and the ground would shake with each step she took. "I've had enough of you running your mouth. It's time to finish this."
"I couldn't agree more." Kaizer replied, his voice void of any emotions, as he held out his left hand to the side. An obsidian coloured magic circle appeared in the air before Kaizer shoved his hand into the magic circle and started to pull out a katana. The sword had a black handle and an even blacker blade, the light around the blade seemed to warp and be absorbed by the sword.
Lilith's eyes widened when she saw the katana and she lowered her hands. "Th-That blade...it's-" She started to say but was cut of when Kaizer appeared in front of her, grabbing her face with his warped hand.
Shiro watched, wide eyed in horror and was too stunned to move, as Kaizer would slice the air behind Lilith, creating a tear in the air, before throwing the woman into the tear and shortly followed after her. "M-Mum...MUM! NO!" He yelled as he suddenly leapt forwards, his hand outstretched as he tried to leap through the tear but he just passed through the air as it vanished. "No no no no no! FUCK!" Shiro roared in anger as started to punch and grasp the air.
[BOOST!]
[Shiro enough!] Ddraig roared, but the teen didn't stop. [There's nothing more you can do.]
'The hell I can't Ddraig.' He retorted.
"Hmph you shouldn't worry about her brat." Kokabiel smirked, amused at Shiro's desperate attempts to reach his mother and Kaizer.
[He's right Shiro...] Ddraig huffed, hating that fact he had to agree with Kokabiel. [That blade is one of a kind. It was a peace project between the Katsura's and Pendragon's... The sword was forged by the Pendragon's and infused with magic from the Katsura's, your Mother's magic.] Ddraig explained. [Not only can that sword create dimensions, it can also cut through them.]
'So...that's how he destroyed Mother's spell...' He questioned, his teeth gritted and his fists clenched. "Then we just have to hope she can beat that bastard." He sighed loudly as he turned to face the others, each one had concerned expressions. "As much as I hate to admit it, Kokabiel is right. We don't have time to worry about my Mother, she can handle herself."
Kokabiel suddenly started to laugh and clapped his hands. "The Katsura brat is right." The Fallen Angel leader smirked as he snapped his fingers. The group prepared for another spear of light but instead of that, Kokabiel summoned up a large red magic circle. A second later did a pillar of fire spew out of the magic circle and turned into a swirling vortex of flames. "Why don't you play with my pets instead."
Suddenly, a shadowy figure with three heads appeared in the centre of the flaming vortex and an ominous howl echoed through the area as the flames vanished to reveal Cerberus.
"Wait, how the hell did Kokabiel manage to snag Cerberus?" Shiro questioned as he stared at the guardian of the underworld.
"I'm not sure." Rias spoke up as she stood at the ready. "But since he summoned it to the Human realm we cannot allow that creature remain. Akeno, Koneko get ready." Rias called out as Akeno and Koneko stood at her side while Shiro hopped back and stood in front of Asia.
The three girls would charge at Cerberus, with Akeno changing into her Shrine-maiden outfit and Koneko bringing out her tail and ears. Rias would be the first one to chrage towards Cerberus but she had to quickly flap her wings to soar into the skies as one of the Cerberus heads turned towards her and started to spew flames from it's mouth. Rias demonstrated just how much control she has over her wings by easily dodging the jets of flames.
However, one stray shot nearly hit Rias but Akeno quickly swooped in to defend her 'King' by summoning up a gust of sub-zero air which managed to freeze the flame on contact which swiftly shattered. Rias would summon four magic circles, which intersected with each other, before crossing her arms. With a yell she would swiftly uncross her arms and fire out multiple blasts of her Destruction magic, which would do little more then stun the beast giving Koneko an opening to leap into the air, her left leg raised above her head, before she slammed it down on the middle-head of Cerberus.
A sickening crunch echoed out as blood sprayed from the middle-head's mouth before the beast realed back in pain. "TAKE THIS!" Akeno roared as she pointed her open palm to Cerberus and launched a bolt of lightning at the beast. Either Cerberus' hide was too thick or the beast was too powerful, but Akeno's attack did little except knock it to the ground.
Cerberus rose to it's feet and howled at Rias and Akeno, Koneko covered her ears and winced in clear pain, before there was a second pillar of flames before a second Cerberus appeared. "Fucking seriously?" Shiro growled in annoyance as he stared at the two Cerberuses. "There's two of them now? And the first one doesn't even look winded."
[BOOST!]
"AHHHHHH!"
Shiro quickly spun around when he heard Asia scream before his eyes went wide as a third Cerberus appeared behind them, it's paw raised as it went to crush Asia. Shiro quickly wrapped his arms around his sister before a light-green magic circle appeared at his feet followed by a strong gust of wind that sent him and Asia flying into the air and towards the tennis court. "A third one! How many of these fucking things are there?" He thought as he carefully landed on the ground and set Asia down. 'Dammit how the hell are we gonna take down three of them? I can't call on Kuroka for help, not yet at least, and what's worse, Kiba and Xenovia still haven't appeared.' He thought as he stood in front of Asia. "Shit..." He cursed as he quickly conjured a light-blue magic circle. A sudden bolt of lightning struck the circle before Tiberus appeared from it.
The blue beast shook itself awake before turning to face the third Cerberus and snarled, arcs of electricity jumping off it's body. "Easy Tiberus." Shiro said, calming his familiar. "I need you to protect Asia for me." He told Tiberus, who looked at him like he was crazy before quickly turned around and wrapped his body around Asia, shielding her. "Good boy." He praised, petting the beast's neck as he stepped forwards.
"What are you going to do?" Asia asked Shiro, concern in her voice.
Shiro took a glance back before returning his gaze back to the third Cerberus. "The others are occupied with the other Cerberuses? Cerberusi? Whatever, point is they can't help out with this one." He told her as he cracked his knuckles. "Which means I have to keep this one occupied until they deal with them." He said before he sprinted away from Asia and Tiberus. "HEY YOU DUMB MUTT! COME AND GET ME!" He yelled out as he aimed a finger gun at the Cerberus. "RED DRAGON PISTOL!" He then fired off a smaller, weaker version of his Red Dragon Railgun.
The weak shot hit Cerberus in the face, exploding on contact, and caused the Demonic creature to turn all three heads to Shiro and each one snarled at him. 'That's it you dumb Mutt, come after me.' Shiro thought as he stared at the slowly approaching Cerberus. The Cerberus would continue to snarl at Shiro, drool dripping from it's mouths, before it bent its legs and leapt towards Shiro, mouths open and claws outstretched ready to tear him apart.
Shiro quickly dove away at the last second, landing on his hands and flipped to land back on his feet. As he flipped, he would create a magic circle on the ground, this one the same colour as his eyes. "ICE GLACIER!" He casted, a large and jagged shard of ice appeared in front of him just in time to black a blast of flames. Once the flames melted the ice, Shiro was already ready with another magic circle. "RAZER WIND!" He sent fourth a blast of compressed air towards Cerberus. Blood spewed from cuts that appeared across it's body as Shiro's spell washed over it's body.
Cerberus howled in pain and rage before it's six red-eyes all focused on Shiro, who taunted the creature by making a 'come hither' gesture. Cerberus reared it's heads back, flames licking at the side of it's mouths, before unleashing jets of flames at Shiro, the three heads combining their flames into one.
"TOWERING TORNADO!" Shiro quickly conjured up a tornado to block the flames of Cerberus, the flames combining with the tornado to make a fire whirl. Shiro's winced before quickly dispelling the tornado, getting rid of the flames at the same time, before his eyes went wide as the Cerberus had used it's attack as a faint and had leapt at Shiro.
However, as the creature was in midair a sudden shadow dashed over Shiro and landed behind the Cerberus. A second later did the creature's body split in half. "You're a sight for sore eyes Xenovia." Shiro called out to the blue-haired Swordswoman, actually glad to see the woman for once.
Xenovia glanced over her head and smirked at Shiro. "Seems like I made it on time." She said before dashing towards the school building, leapt onto the roof and dashed towards the Cerberus that Koneko was dealing with. The Swordswoman would leap off the roof and land on Cerberus' back, her sword raised above her head, before she stabbed the Demon in the back, killing it instantly.
[BOOST!]
Suddenly, the gem on the Boosted gear began glowing brightly. Shiro looked down before smirking and clenched his fist. "Alright, show time." He muttered before turning his gaze towards Rias and Akeno. "Hey ladies, got a power boost coming your way." He said as he summoned his wings and raced towards the two.
"Much appriciated~"
"Thank's love."
Shiro smirked as he flew past the two, as they met him halfway, and as he did he tapped both of them on their shoudlers. "Boosted gear gift: Transfer!"
Upon that decleration, both Rias and Akeno's bodies gained a soft green glow and both girls moaned in pleasure as power surged through their bodies. "You ready Akeno?" Rias asked her oldest friend.
"Always." Akeno smiled as she raised her hand to the skies. "THUNDER! SHAKE THE EARTH!" She yelled as the largest bolt of lightning Shiro had ever seen her summon strike the yellow magic circle that appeared above her head.
For once, Cerberus' survival instincts seemed to kick in as it faced Akeno and Rias before whimpering and turned tail to flee. However, it wouldn't get far as a dozen swords shot up from the ground and pierced it's body, locking it in place. A second later, Kiba appeared in front of Asia and Tiberus. "Bout time you showed up, Pretty Boy." Shiro sighed in relief as he dove down towards the blonde 'Knight' before turning around in time to see Akeno's lightning bolt combine with Rias' magic circle to create a spell of Unholy destruction. "That...That should be illegal." He mumbled as he felt a slight sweat from on his head.
"Hmph, that was quite amusing." That's when Kokabiel's voice reminded the group of the dangers that still persisted.
Rias turned and scowled at Kokabiel before spreading her arms wide and created a magic circle. "TAKE THIS!" She roared as she gathered up all of the power Shiro gave her and put it into this spell. A bolt of Destruction magic burst out from the magic circle, gaining shape and form of a dragon head, and roared towards Kokabiel.
The Fallen Angel merely smirked and swatted the blast away with ease, sending it racing past Rias and into the sprint track that was behind her. "Interesting, the power from the Red Dragon made you this powerful." He muttered, crossing his legs and rubbing his chin in thought.
Rias continued to scowl at Kokabiel before her eyes went wide in horror and she shivered in fear and it wasn't just her. In fact, every Devil there shivered in fear and Shiro had to quickly run up to Koneko and gently comfort the Nekoshou as she dropped to her knees and would shiver uncontrollably and would start to breath quite heavily. "Koneko what's the matter?" Shiro asked her as he held onto her.
"It's complete!" Valper exclaimed in joy. Everyone looked over to the man in time to see a pillar of pure holy energy shoot up into the sky. Valper would began to maniacally laugh as the four Excalibur fragments were absorbed into the beam. A second later would the beam of holy light vanish before a new sword slowly decended from the skies.
"Upon fusing the Excalibur fragments." Kokabiel started. "I will take the holy energy that would be produced. That was our deal."
Rias' eyes narrowed before they went wide as she realised what he planned to do. "You put that energy into an Earth-breaker spell, didn't you?" She questioned the Fallen Angel leader as her attention returned to the fused Excalibur.
"Shit." Shiro cursed as he picked up Koneko and jumped back as the magic circle that served as the catalyst to fuse the Excaliburs began to expand, he also made Tiberus carry Asia over. "How the hell are we gonna stop this." He muttered as he set the young Nekoshou down.
Valper would turn to the group, a manic smile across his face as his lifes work was finally complete. "You should all flee little Devils. Within twenty minutes, this town will be nothing more then a dot on the map." He smirked.
Kiba and Xenovia would both raise their blades before Kokabiel's voice stopped them. "To stop it, you would need to defeat me." He said before he stood up and expanded his wings. "What are you going to do now, Rias Gremory?" He questioned with a wide smirk as his throne vanished, leaving him hovering in the air.
Rias' eyes would narrow and she crossed her arms over her chest. "DESTORY YOU!" She yelled as she uncrossed her arms and sent fourth a blast of destruction magic.
Instead of deflecting Rias spell, he merely caught it and gathered it in his palm. He then glanced behind him as Akeno flew up and fired a bolt of lightning at him, which he also caught. The Fallen Angel would then bring his hands together and combine both Rias and Akeno's spells before launching it towards Rias. "Pathetic!" He roared, almost like he was insulted by Rias' power.
The blast would race towards Rias but Akeno quickly dove in front of Rias and created a barrier to protect them. However, Akeno's barrier did little to as their returned spells easily broke through her barrier causing her to cry out in pain. Akeno would quickly fall from the skies but before she hit the ground, Shiro ran over to her and caught her in a bridle style. "You alright Akeno?" He asked as he held her in his arms.
Akeno looked at Shiro, a heavy blush forming across her cheeks, and slowly nodded. "I-I'm fine thank you..." She muttered as Shiro would set her on the ground while Asia ran up to her and started to heal any injuries she recieved with Rias joining them a second later. "I hate to say it...but I don't think we'll last until Sirzechs gets here."
"Yeah..." Shiro nodded as he stood in front of the three. 'Plus my Mum still hasn't appeared from that dimension...I hope she's doing okay.' He thought before his gaze was drawn over to the courtyard as he noticed that Kiba was making his way over to Valper and the fused Excalibur. "Don't do anything reckless Kiba!" Shiro yelled, but the blonde 'Knight' continued on.
"Valper Galilei..." Kiba spat through gritted teeth. "I am a survivour of the Holy Sword Project." He said before he chuckled darkly. "Truthfully, you did kill me...but I was able to continue living thanks to being reborn as a Devil." He said before pinning Valper with a vicious glare. "I will not die until I avenge my comrades that you killed." He declaired as he raised his sword and dashed towards Valper.
However, Kokabiel would summon up a spear of light and toss it at Kiba. "KIBA LOOK OUT!" Shiro yelled as he suddenly dashed towards the 'Knight' to intercept the spear of light. However, he wouldn't make it in time as the spear collided with the ground and exploded outwards, blasting him away. Once the dust settled, Valper was surrounded by a barrier of holy energy and Kiba was laid on the ground. "KIBA!" Shiro cried out in panic only to sigh in relief as Kiba's body twitched, giving away that he was still alive.
"Hmph, so he avoided a direct impact." Kokabiel chuckled in amusment. "Nimble little Devile. Freed!" He yelled out to the stray Exorcist. "Take the Excalibur and destroy the Devils." Kokabiel ordered.
"Hehehe it'll be my pleasure." Freed cackled as he leapt towards the fused Excalibur before grabbing the sword. "Oh what a wonderful gift~ Now then, who's first." He smirked as he licked his lips and smiled at Shiro. The Silver haired teen clicked his tongue and raised his fists only to pause when Xenovia would leap over him and land in between him and Freed. Xenovia would then dash forwards, her sword positioned behind her back, before she swung it towards Freed with a roar of effort. "Hehe too slow~" He cackled as he suddenly vanished only to appear behind Xenovia. "You remember Excalibur Rapid riiiiiight~" He cooed as he slashed at Xenovia.
The blue-haired swordswoman would show off an impressive display of flexibility as she would flip onto her hands, pivot around and bring her left leg into Freed's face, creating distance between them.
Freed would hiss in pain, cupping his cheek, before glaring at Xenovia and swung his sword towards her. The sword would suddenly extend and race towards her. Xenovia would jump over the blade and would raise her sword to deflect another strike as the fused Excalibur's blade would quickly turn and follow her into the air. Once Xenovia landed on the ground, the blade would split into four and attempt to skewer her, which she deflected.
"This is going to be your Nightmare." Freed said as multiple copies of him appeared. "Along with a vanishing sword~ HOW COOL IS THAT!" Freed laughed as he charged at Xenovia.
Xenovia scowled as she blocked, parried and deflected each strike despite Freed's sword being invisible. "He's using each of the Excalibur's powers." She scowled as she sliced through a Freed which turned out to be a clone as it faded into the air.
"And not even Senjutsu can tell which is the real one." Shiro spoke up as he stood behind Xenovia.
[BOOST!]
"Tch, can't believe I only just restarted the boosts." He scowled before his eyebrow raised at the fact that all the Freeds merged back into one and his sword became visible again. 'So it seems like he can only use each Excalibur's power for a few seconds...' Shiro thought as he suddenly dashed forwards and slammed his foot into Freed's stomach sending him flying back. Shiro then landed besides Xenovia with his fists raised.
That's when they heard Kiba grunt and groan as he forced himself to stand.
"Don't push yourself Kiba." Shiro called out to his friend.
"Hmm I did hear about one subject that escaped now that I think about it." Valper said as he slowly approached Kiba. "But to think you became a Devil...oh don't get me wrong, I am grateful for your contributions to my project." He smirked. "If it wasn't for you brats, I would've never learned that while each of you didn't have enough power to wield an Excalibur...all of you combined was more then enough." He said as he pulled out a glowing blue gem. "I found a way to crystalise the Holy Energy that you generouslydonated." He explained as he held the crystal up to the sky.
That's when Freed threw his head back and began cackling. "The others died cause they couldn't handle the power but I managed to handle it. In fact I managed to handle three of them!" He yelled as he dashed towards Shiro and Xenovia and began to swing widly. "Makes you think that I'm super awesome and special huh!"
"Special is one word." Shiro commented as he leapt back and away from the wild Freed.
Xenovia would then glance over to before her eyes went wide as she recognised the crystal Valper was holding. "Wait but that...that's what Irina had implated into her when she recieved the blessing to wield Exclaibur." She said. "It was to make up for the power she lacked." She exclaimed making Valper click his tongue.
"Tch those hypocrites." He sneered, glancing at Xenovia. "They called me a Heratic and yet they keep using my research...but that bastard Micheal probably found a way to extract the Holy Energy without killing anyone."
"Th-There was no need to kill us..." Kiba weakly muttered as he slowly stood up, knuckles turning white from how tightly he was clenching his sword. "Then why?"
"Hmm?" Valper turned to Kiba before shrugging his shoulders. "You were all nothing more then materials to be used. What else was I meant to do with you after you all outlived your usefulness?"
Kiba, upon hearing that, would start to shake and grit his teeth. "We...We believed we were serving the Lord." He spat, tears forming in his eyes. "We suffered excruciating pain only for you to treat us like materials...like we weren't even human." He softly spoke before the crystal that Valper was holding was thrown to his feet.
"Take it. We have the means to mass produce them now." Valper casually explained.
Kiba stared at the crystal before he desummoned his sword, bent down and picked up the crystal. "How many?" Kiba softly asked as he held the crystal close to his chest. "How many lives were wasted because of your selfish ambitions?" He asked as he stood up, still holding the crystal to his chest. That's when several blue wisps began to softly glow around the 'Knight' before they formed into shapes of people.
"Wait are those...are those spirits?" Shiro questioned as he would quickly join the others as they all stared at the silhouettes.
"In all likelyhood, they are the result of all the magical energy that has been gathered here...along with Kiba's heart releasing the souls of his companions from the crystal." Akeno theorised as she too was mesmerised by the phenomana that was happening.
"I...I always wondered." Kiba's voice rang out among the silence of the battlefield. "Why I was the one chosen to live. Why I had to be the only survivour...some of the others, they had much grander dreams then me." He softly spoke as he held the crystal tighter to his chest, tears slowly streaming down his face. That's when a soft and mellow song began to echo all around them. A song that came from the spirits.
All the spirits suddenly turned back into wisps and would swirl around Kiba as voices rang out.

"As one..." Kiba finished as he quietly sobbed.
He wasn't the only. Asia, Rias, Akeno, Koneko and even Shiro, they all had tears streaming down their faces as they witnessed the beautiful display that was happening before them. "Damn..." Was all Shiro could say as he wiped his eyes.
[The 'Knight' has peaked...] Ddraig's voice cut through the somber air like a knife.
'Huh? What are you talking about Ddraig? Can't you see we're having a moment here.' Shiro scowled at the Dragon.
Ddraig merely rolled his eyes and continued. [When a Sacred Gear user's hopes and dreams conflict with the natural order of the world, the Sacred gear will exceed it's limits and create-]
"The Balance breaker..." Shiro muttered, going wide eyed as the souls of Kiba's dead comrades were absorbed into his body. "Holy shit..."
Once the souls were absorbed into Kiba's body, he would pin Valper with a glare. "I see now. My comrades didn't want me to waste my life exacting vengence." He stated as he slowly walked towards Valper, who took a step back in fear. "However, I must slay the evil that stands before me." He growled as he continued to approach the frightened Valper.
"F-FREED!" Valper called out.
"Coming~" Freed cooed as he leapt in front of Valper and held his sword towards Kiba, who also summoned his own blade.
Once Freed was between him and Kiba, Valper gained a cocky smirk. "You fool. You should've died when you had the chance." Valper taunted.
Kiba said nothing as he simply glared at Valper before he glanced over to Rias who had shouted his name. "Kiba...you are a member of this Familia. An Excalibur should be nothing for my 'Knight'." She confidently told him as she smiled warmly and nodded her head.
"Ughhh enough with this crap already." Freed groaned in annoyance. "I just wanna get to slicing you all up!"
Kiba would turn his gaze back to Freed before sighing softly. "I will become a sword. My comrades, now one with my soul, let us fulfill our regrets and our dreams of those days." The swordsman chanted as he held his sword to the skies, which gained a blue glow around it. Suddenly, black and white beams shot out of the cross guard and swirled around the blade. "I will become the sword of the President and my comrades. SWORD BIRTH!" He roared as the two beams of energy angrily swirled before being absorbed into the blade.
Once the beams had been absorbed by the blade, what Kiba was holding was nothing short then a thing of beauty. The sword had the regular golden cross guard and hand but the blade itself was a white-ish silver with the centre being an onyx black. "BEHOLD THE SWORD OF THE BETRAYER!" He yelled as he grabbed the handle with both hands. "A SWORD THAT'S INFUSED WITH BOTH HOLY AND DEMONIC ENERGY!"
"Holy shit..." Shiro breathed out as he stared at Kiba's new sword. "That's fucking badass."
"What?" Rias questioned with a raised eyebrow when she heard Shiro exclaim about Kiba's sword.
"Kiba's sword...Ddraig told me that he'd reached his peak." Shiro explained. "That's his balance breaker."
Kiba would slowly walk towards Freed, who merely rocked back and fourth on his heels, before Xenovia walked alongside the 'Knight'. "Knight of Rias Gremory, do we still stand as allies?" She asked him, making Kiba raise his eyebrow at her.
"I hope so." He nodded.
"Then let us destroy that...abomination of a sword." She scowled before stopping and stabbed her Excalibur into the ground before holding out her left hand. She would then close her eyes and start to chant. "Petra, Basilius, Dionysus and Mary the virgin mother. Hear my prayers." She chanted as a golden magic circle formed beside her outstretched hand. That's when an hilt would emerge from the magic circle with chains wrapped around it. Xenovia would then reach out to grab the sword. "In the name of the Saint that resides within this blade, I hereby set you free. Durandal!"
"Hold up, did she just call that thing Durandal?" Shiro questioned as he stared at the large broadsword. "As in the Holy Sword Durandal?"
"Durandal...it's said that this sword can cut through anything in this world." Xenovia stated before glancing over to Shiro. "And I do mean this world, it cannot cut through dimensions before you get your hopes up." She said, making Shiro scowl, before her attention turned to Valper and Freed.
"I-Impossible!" Valper stammered. "My research never went into how to wield Durandal!" He excalimed, shocked to see someone capable to weild a sword as legendary as Excalibur and just as destructive.
Xenovia smirked upon hearing how frieghtend Valper was before she pointed her sword at him. "Unlike him or Irina. I'm a natural born." She then smirked as her arm started to twitch and shake. "This bad boy doesn't like to listen to me so we have to keep him sealed in another dimension." She spoke as her arm stopped shuddering.
Freed clicked his tongue as his deformed Excalibur started to shine with Holy energy. "Ain't that a bit cheap?" He questioned before the Mutated Excalibur extended and raced towards Xenovia, who merely swatted the blade away like it was nothing. As Xenovia deflected the blade, it would split into four smaller blades and would change directions in mid-air to race back towards Xenovia.
"While Xenovia and Kiba are dealing with that psycho." Shiro suddenly spoke up as he pried his eyes away from the dancing of blades to glare at Kokabiel. "Let's deal with this fallen Angel Prick." He snarled as he punched his fist into his palm.
[BOOST!]
Kokabiel's eyebrow would raise as he stared down at the group of Devil's before a wide and savage smirk crossed his face. "I think you're forgetting something brat...or someone for that matter." He smirked.
The group would raise their eyebrows for a second before the blood vanished from Shiro's face and he turned as pale as a ghost as the sound of glass shattering echoed through the field as a blue and black blur whizzed past Shiro. The silver haired teen would slowly turn to where the blur landed, fearing for what he was about to see, and his breathing quicked as he saw Lilith laying on the floor.
She had small cuts and burns and other injuries littering her body. Her dress was in tatters, exposing parts of her body, and her hair was deshevled and she just laid there while blood had slowly stared to pool beneath her body.
"M...MOTHER!" Shiro yelled in fear as another tear in space appeared behind Lilith.
