Chapter 17
Dimensions are defined as a measurable extent of a particular kind, such as length, breadth, depth, or height; or can be used to refer to a plane of existance seperate to our own.
These separate dimensions can be as different or as similar to our own plane of existance and normally, they are inaccessible to most people. However, there a some people and items that can penetrate the vail that separates the dimensions. One such person is the matriarch of the Katsura clan, Lilith Katsura. Lilith was, in all of human history, the only human blessed with Dimension magic powerful enough to create her own dimensional plane, see through the vail to other dimensions and travel through what is known as the Dimensonial gap, although she has never used this ability in respect and fear of the beings that reside in said Dimensional gap.
However, there is emphasis on was as she has lost most of her magical prowess after she gave birth to her child Shiro Katsura.
Before Lilith gave birth to Shiro, even before she met her Husband, she was sent to England with her Father to meet with the clan that ruled over the land, the Pendragons. The Pendragons were, like the Katsura's, a clan that alligned themselves with one of the three factions and were blessed with special abilities. As they alligned with Angles, they were blessed with the knowledge to create Holy Swords to be used against the Devils and Fallen Angels.
The reason as to why Lilith and her Father went to meet with the leader of the Pendragons was to secure a peace treaty between them, due to the three faction war nearing a stalemate. In an effort for peace between the two clans, a plan was set in motion. A sword was to be created by the Pendragons and infused with magic from a Katsura...Lilith was the chosen Katsura.
She was to take the sword and infuse her Dimension magic into the blade. She did as she was told. She infused the blade with her magic and as a result, the blade itself turned as dark as space, so much so it seemed like the light around it became warped and sucked into the blade, and the sword granted the wielder to cut through dimensions and create it's own dimensional space with limitations of course.
And such dimensional space is where Lilith found herself being tossed into by the man that murdered her Husband and destroyed her clan.
Once Lilith was in the dimensional space created by the sword, she flipped in the air and landed on her feet and skidded back a few feet. She glanced up with an ugly scowl as she stared at the tear in the air before standing up straight as Kaizer walked through, the rift closing behind him. "How did you get your hands on Gearradair Meud?" Lilith question as she quickly glanced around at the space she was in.
Purple. That was the best way to explain the dimension she was in. While she could see what was on the otherside, she saw her child frustratingly attack the air in a desperate attempt to reach her, it was like the entire world had a purple filter placed over it.
Her attention then snapped back to Kazier when the man began to chuckle softly. "Ahhh right, I almost forgot that you helped forged my sword." He chuckled as he ran a warped finger along the back of the blade. "How I acquired it is of no importance...what is important is that I'm going to use it to kill that bastard chi-" He started to say but cut himself off as he swung the blade upwards and split a Fire ball in half.
"Over my dead body." Lilith snarled as he she held up an open palm towards Kaizer with remnents of a magic circle dissapaiting in her hand. "That sword was never yours and if you want to kill Shiro, then you'll have to kill me first." She growled as another magic circle appeared in her hand.
Kaizer stared at the woman before a demented smirk crossed his face. "I plan to." Was all he said before dashing towards Lilith, becoming a blur, before leaping at her with his stolen blade raised over his left shoulder.
Liltih's eyes narrowed as she shifted her stance so she was in the recognisable archer stance. She raised her left arm as her finger tips began to glow a soft red before sharply pulling her arm back, drawing on the bow string she created with her other hand, and create five red arrows. Her eyes narrowed as she saw Kaizer skid to a stop just as she released her arrows.
The arrows raced towards Kaizer, becoming red streaks in the air, and moved in unnatural, zig-zag patterns. Kaizer would block the first two arrows before leaping to the side as the other three would shoot straight up before arching back down and penetrated the ground Kaizer where Kaizer was stood. Wasting no time, Lilith repeated this move, her finger tips glowing, pulling back on the bow's string and released the arrows.
Kaizer clicked his tongue and began darting around the area, deflecting any arrows that got too close. He then skidded across the ground and leapt into the air as a sheet of ice raced across the ground. The Katsura killer would grab Gearradair with both hands and raise the sword above his head and with a grunt, swung the blade down.
The air around the blade would ripple slightly and Lilith would quickly conjure up four two walls of ice, one in front and one behind her. A second passed and nothing happened, then in the next second, the walls of ice would shatter into pieces as sword slashes appeared in the ice. Lilith would then wave her hand and gather all the loose shards of ice in her magic, shattered the remains of the walls and sent the shards at Kaizer.
Due to the sheer amount of jagged Ice shards, Kaizer was unable to block all of them and dodging was out of the question leaving him to take most of the attack head on. Once Lilith's attack had stopped, Kaizer found himself chuckle as he crossed his arms over his body. "Hahahahaha!" He laughed as he uncrossed his arms and rolled his neck, cracking it. "You've definitely gotten weaker Lilith...but you've still got the skill." He commented with a blissful sigh. "I'm surprised you blocked those two strikes I set up."
Lilith scoffed at Kaizer and narrowed her eyes. "You think I wouldn't know Gearradair's abilites. I know that blade allows you to cut through dimensions...in those two instances, I was stood right where you cut and when you swung that blade, that was the trigger." She growled before smirking. "I also know that this dimension only lasts for ten minutes and while inside it, you can't create any more dimensions nor can you affect the outside world. If you could've...you would've killed Shiro before he even realised what had happened."
Kaizer stared at Lilith before smirking and nodded. "Yes you're right...but you should know that the sword has gained some new...abilities in the time I've had it." He said causing Lilith to raise her eyebrow.
"Like wh-!" She cut herself off with a gasp when she felt something pierce her abdomen. Glancing down, she saw the tip of Gearradair poking out of her abdomen and was coated in her blood.
"Like giving the ability to appear from other Dimensions." Kaizer said from behind her while the Kaizer stood in front of her smirked. "Granted this ability can only be used in this Dimensional space and I can't use it too many times unless I wanna tear myself apart...but I think the pros outweigh the cons, no?" The Kaizer in front of her said as the one behind her yanked the blade out of her back before vanishing back through a dimensional rift.
Lilith clutched her bleeding stomach, stumbled a little. "Tch, of co-course you would make an ability like that." Lilith scoffed and winced as her wound began to freeze over. "Always needing help from someone else." She spat before smirking. "Yeah...you needed help to destroy the Katsura's." She said before chuckle despite the pain. "You even needed help killing Artemis...that's how pathetic you really are. You even needed help to wound me." She laughed, much to Kaizer's anger.
"You bitch." Kazier snarled as his grip on the sword tightened. "I didn't need help to destroy that pathetic clan. I merely used the Fallen Angels as a means to an end." He justified.
Lilith merely laughed at his declaration. "If that's true, then why didn't you destroy the clan on your own? If you used the Fallen Angels, then why are you acting like Kokabiels' bitch?" She questioned with a smirk.
Kaizer's blood was boiling at this point as Lilith belittled him. "Shut. You're. Whore. Mouth." He snarled as he gritted his teeth and his lips curled in a scowl. "I'm done with this farce. I'm giving you one chance to give up and I might let you become mine." He savagely smirked and aimed the blade at Lilith.
Lilith stared at Kaizer for a minute before closing her eyes and took a deep breath. Her eyes then snapped open and two magic circles appeared in her hands, one a pure white and the other an icy blue. "Go to hell." She said as she slammed both her hands together and combined the magic circles. The duel magic cirlces appeared in front of her, one layered over the other. "Absolute Zero." She declared.
The two magic circles would rapidly spiral in opposite directions before a wave of sub-zero air blasted out of the magic cirlces. The wave of cold air would race towards Kaizer and whatever it passed over would freeze instantly. Kaizer stared at the wave of air before slicing at the air. "Banish." He said as a rift appeared and Lilith's spell would be absorbed into the rift.
Once Lilith's spell had been safetly absorbed, the woman's left arm was covered in a thin layer of frost, Kaizer would race towards her with the sword at the ready. Lilith wouldn't flinch nor move from the spot as she held an open palm towards Kaizer. She would the summon a dirty brown magic circle beneath Kaizer and flipped her hand with her palm facing the sky before clenching her hand. "Basalt spear."
A jagged piece of rock in the shape of a spear head would shot out from the magic circle only to be sliced in half by Kaizer. Kaizer would mimic Lilith's previous action and held out his deformed arm towards her and conjured a fire-orange magic circle. "Heat wave." Just like Lilith's spell, a wave of flames would race towards Lilith.
The black haired woman cross her arms over her chest as a dome of ice swiftly covered her. The flames slammed against Lilith's protective dome, dispelling instantly, but that attack was merely a faint as Kaizer used the cover of the flames to get in close to Lilith after her ice dome melted. However, Kaizer wasn't expecting Lilith to dash forwards, into his strike range.
Sharply stopping, Lilith would thrust her left arm forwards and slam her palm into Kaizer's stomach. Kaizer's eyes went wide and he coughed up a mouthful of blood as he felt his internal organs be crushed from Lilith's strike as the woman had sent a condensed blast of wind directly into his body. However, a smirk crossed Kaizer's face as he quickly reached down and grabbed Lilith's wrist and yanked it up.
Lilith hissed in slight pain as her arm was roughly yanked before her eyes went wide in horror as she felt a sudden sting across her chest. Glancing down, she would see an unhealthy amount of blood spurt out of a fresh cut that went from her right shoulder to her right hip. She felt Kaizer release her wrist before her her cheeks bulged and she coughed up bile and blood as Kaizer had lashed out with a harsh kick into her stomach sending her soaring back.
It was also at this point that the Dimensonial Rift she and Kaizer were trapped in ran out of time as she saw that she was sent soaring past Shiro.
"M-MOTHER!" She heard her child scream out in panic causing her to weakly look up at him.
Lilith gave she a weak smile just as Kazier appeared above her, his sword aimed and her back.
'Th-This can't be happening.' Shiro thought as time seemed to slow down as Kazier went to stab his Mother in her back. "GET AWAY FROM HER YOU BASTARD!" Shiro roared.
[BOOST!]
Before charging towards him, causing a small crater and kicked up dust and debris from the ground as desperately tried to stop the man from killing his Mother.
Kaizer only just glanced towards Shiro before scowling. "I'll get to you in a second boy." He said as he flipped the sword in his hand and swung it towards Shiro.
Shiro's eyes went wide and he tumbled to the ground as his shoulder sprayed blood from a cut that had suddenly appeared.
"Shiro!" Asia and Rias cried out in shock and panic as they both rushed towards him, Asia to heal him and Rias to make sure he was okay.
"ROAR, THUNDER!" Akeno yelled as she raised her arms above her head before swinging it down at Kaizer, in an attempt to get him to retreat.
Kaizer merely clicked his tongue and snapped his fingers as a full body mirror appeared above his head and a lightning bolt shot out from it, colliding with Akeno's attack in an explosion of sparks. "Mirror world." He said before raising his sword to block a flaming kick from Koneko. Kaizer would reach up to grab Koneko's leg but the Nekoshou would kick off his sword and backflip away from him before he could. "If you all insit in getting in my way...then I'll kill you all." He growled as a magic circle appeared in his hand.
Everyone tensed up, apart from Kiba and Xenovia as they were still dealing with a Excalibur toting Freed but he was losing badly. "I shall deal with them." Kokabiel suddenly spoke up from his position from the sky. "You hurry up and tie up your loose ends." He sighed, growing increasingly bored. Kokabiel would then glance over to where Valpa was as the Priest was on his knees and was muttering something under his breath.
"I see I see...everything now makes sense." He muttered, a demented smile etched across his face and a quick glance would show that Freed had been defeated and was laying on the ground, bleeding from his shoulder. "If the line between Holy and Demonic powers has been skewered then that would mean that not only Satan but God was also-!" Valper was then cut off from his ranting when a spear of Light impaled his stomach and then reduced him to ash which was blown away by the wind.
Every was shocked at this sudden, but seeable, betrayal before all eyes were on Kokabiel. "Ahh Valper, you were too smart for you're own good if you came to that conclusion so...quickly."
Rias took her eyes off Shiro, as Asia had finished healing his wounds and the teen was slowly standing and was still glaring at Kaizer. "What is the meaning of this Kokabiel?" She spat and she gently took ahold of Shiro's hand.
Kokabiel stared down at Rias before smirking savagely. "I'm going to start a war soon so It's only natural that you should know." He spoke. "During the last war, not only did Satan perish...but so did God!" He cackled, throwing his head back and arms wide.
Everyone's eyes went wide in shock as they processed this new information but non felt the shock more then Asia and Xenovia. The two Ex-Church girls were shaking in horror as their eyes were wide and pupils dilated. "I-Impossible." Asia muttered as tears filled her eyes.
"G-God is dead..." Rias muttered. "You're crazy! Nothing like that has ever happened!" She yelled out.
Kokabiel continued to laugh manically. "The war brought an end to all Satans and many High Class Devils as well as lower ranking Angels and Fallen Angels. The Pure Angels could no longer reproduce! All the three factions required Humans to survive, so the Devils, Fallen Angels and Angels all kept God's death a secret to ensure that the Humans that believed in God survived." He laughed before rapidly decending to the ground.
There was a soft thud as Xenovia fell to her knees, trembling as she struggled to deal with the news she had just heard. "L-Liar..." She muttered as she just stared at the ground in horror.
Kokabiel continued. "But I couldn't care less about that. What I can't bear is that after the death of God and the Satans, they called off the war. That bastard Azazel told us all to lower our fists and retreat! Just as we were winning! If we kept on fighting, then we could've wipped out the Angels and Devils!" He roared in anger as his whole body trembled in anger.
"I-If the Lord is gone..." Asia weakly said as she slowly rose to her feet.
"A-Asia..." Shiro finally pried his eyes away from his Mother and looked over to his sister in concern. "Asia are you okay?" He asked, but she shook her head and continued with what she was saying.
"If he truely is gone, then where is his love coming from?" She asked.
Kokabiel simply smirked. "It seems like Micheal is doing a good job no?" He smirked and shrugged his shoulders. "He took over God's role in leading both the Angels and Humans and as long as the system God put in place still works, then prayers, miracles, excorsims and blessings should still work...to some extent." He replied.
Asia stared at Kokabiel for a second before her eyes closed and she fell unconscious as the mental strain became too much for her. "Asia!" Shiro panicked as he swiftly caught her and gently laid her down. 'Dammit dammit...everything is going down hill too fast.' He thought with gritted teeth as he turned his attention to Kokabiel and then to Kaizer, who had a bored and distant expression.
"I'm not surprised she fainted." Xenovia said as she glanced over to them. "I'm struggling to stay conscious myself." She spoke through gritted teeth as she steadied herself with Durandal.
"This is all well and good...but it's time to speed things along." Kaizer spoke up as he grew tired of listening to Kokabiel's ranting. "Say goodbye to your Mother boy...but you'll be joining her soon after." He spoke as he held the sword in a reverse grip and raised it above his head.
Shiro's eyes went wide and he scrambled to race towards him before he heard Kokabiel speak. "Either save your mother...or save your friends." He smirked as he summoned a spear of light. "Such a tough choice for the Red Dragon Emperor." He said as he launched the spear towards Rias.
Shiro slowly came to a stop and turned to see Rias quickly put up a barrier but the engery raidiating from the spear...it would easily break her barrier and then impale her. Time slowed to a crawl as Shiro watched the spear head towards Rias and then he saw Kaizer's blade race towards his Mother's neck. 'N-No...it can't end like this.' Shiro thought as he struggled on what to do. 'I-I have to save them both...b-but I can't...' He thought...and that's when he acted. Eyes clenched and teeth gritted, he turned around and started to head towards Rias.
[DOUBLE BOOSTER!]
A new callout came from the Boosted Gear as Shiro felt his strength increase two fold, even more then the standard Boost. That was also when Shiro cried out. "KUROKA! PLEASE SAVE MY MOTHER!" He yelled out, much to the shock of Akeno, Kiba and especially Koneko. Shiro managed to reach Rias and quickly place his Boosted gear over her hand.
[TRANSFER!]
And transfered the strength into Rias and caused her defensive barrier to increase in power. "OBELISK PILLER!" He called out as a piller of Earth and rock shot out from the ground and in the path of Kokabiel's spear. The piller didn't stand a chance but it did enough to decrease the force and power behind the spear so that it shattered upon contact with Rias and Shiro's barrier but the force of the explosion was enough to send them flying back, with Shiro holding Rias.
The two Devils slammed into the ground and skidded to a stop before Shiro looked over to where Kaizer and his mother was and sighed in relief to see Kuroka standing in front of his Mother's still alive body with an extremely pissed expression. Kuroka would then create a large, octagonal purple magic circle beneath her and Lilith before teleporting them both to Shiro's side.
"Thank you Kuroka." Shiro sighed in relief as he released Rias and got up to stand beside Kuroka.
"Don't thank me just yet Shiro." She replied, not taking her gaze off Kaizer but for a split second, she would spare a single glance to her little sister who was staring at her with wide eyes. Eyes that were filled with shock, horror, hatred and, surprisingly, relief. Kuroka then jolted slightly when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"We'll deal with that bridge later, Kuroka." Shiro told the Nekoshou with a soft and comforting smile. "For now, let's make sure that everyone survives this." He said before turning to causticly glare at Kazier, who's chest had smoke wafting from it. "And let's make sure he doesn't." Shiro spat and glanced over his shoulder to Rias. "Rias...I hate to ask this but...could you all deal with Kokabiel for a little bit."
Rias stared up at Shiro for a second before glancing to Kuroka and nodded slowly. "Do what you have to love." She said as she stood up and turned her back to Shiro. "You better keep him alive Kuroka...or I'll kill you myself." She spat with narrowed eyes, not even glancing at the SS-class criminal.
Kuroka merely chuckled at Rias' statement. "If Shiro dies...it'll be because I died first. Don't you worry you pretty little red head." She said as she held out her hand towards Kaizer and created a octagonal magic circle, blue flames appearing at the eight points. The flames then started to slowly spin, speeding up, before firing the flaming disk at Kaizer, who sliced it in half.
Rias, who thought that her answer was acceptable enough, looked towards her other servants. "Everyone, while Shiro and...and Kuroka." She had to force herself to say her name again. "Deal with Kaizer, we shall hold off Kokabiel...I know that I'm asking a lot from you all but I have faith that we will survive this and that we all can attend this school together." She yelled, hoping her speech was enough to rouse everyone's spirits...even if it didn't raise her own.
Despite her confident exterior...Rias was terrified. She was terrified that her brother wouldn't make it in time. She was terrified of losing her servants...no, not servants, her family. She was afraid of losing even a single one of them but most of all, she was afraid of bringing shame to the Gremory name.
"We're with you Rias."
"I failed as your 'Knight' before...but I won't ever fail again. I promise on my honour as a 'Knight' of Gremory."
"I...I'm still with you Rias...de-despite her being here."
"I may not be a member of your familia but I shall help you all as you've helped me."
However, said fears were promptly crushed as one by one did her family, although not by blood, stand besides her...even Xenovia.
"Thank you...thank you all." Rias softly said as she held her hands over her chest.
"Heh...guess now would be a good time as any to try out this new ability." All eyes were on Shiro when they heard him chuckle. Just before they could ask what he meant, he held up his Boosted gear and snapped his fingers.
[BOOST! WELSH DRAGON CLOAK!]
A pulse of red-aura would burst out from Shiro and wash over them all. A second later did everyone gasp as they felt a surge of strength rush through them. "That was a multi-transfer ability...but it won't last long." Shiro told them all as he crouched down low. "Kuroka...could you heal my Mother and Asia. If Asia wakes can you ask her to heal my mother." Shiro said and, without waiting for an answer, charged at Kaizer.
Kaizer clicked his tongue as he watched Shiro charge at him. "You just don't learn brat." He growled as he swiped at Shiro. However, Shiro quickly dug his feet in the ground to kill his momentum as a slash in the air suddenly appeared.
"I ain't falling for the same trick twice asshole." He spat as he aimed a finger pistol at Kaizer. "RED DRAGON RAILGUN!" He roared as he fired off the condensed beam of magic at Kaizer.
Kaizer simply stared at the rapidly approaching beam before slashing lazily at the air, creating a rift between him and the beam. "Banish." He said as Shiro attack was absorbed into the rift.
"RED DRAGON CRUSH CLAW!" Only for a crimson fist to be slammed into his stomach. There was a sickening crunching sound as Kaizer's internal organs were, once again, crushed and he coughed up more blood before he was sent flying back. Shiro chased after Kaizer and leapt into the air with his leg raised above his head. "RED DRAGON CRUSHING TALON!"
Kaizer's eyes narrowed and a scowl crossed his face as he raised his blade to block Shiro's axe-kick but the momentum sent him crashing into the ground. "Damn brat. STONE FANG!" Kaizer roared as jagged pieces of rock shot out of the ground and curved around to impale Shiro, who dodged with a flap of his wing. Kaizer quickly leapt to his feet and slashed his sword towards Shiro. "Dimension slash." He growled.
Shiro would cross his arms over his body as he had no idea where Kaizer's strike would be coming from. He winced as he felt a sharp sting on his Boosted gear and he lowered his arms to see a thin cut across the gauntlet which slowly healed. 'That was a fluke dodging his attack before...how the hell am I supposed to defend against something that comes from another dimension.' Shiro thought as he stared down at Kaizer.
Shiro's eyes went wide and he cried out in pain as blood spurted out of a fresh wound that appeared on his shoulder. Quickly decending to the ground, Shiro held a hand over the wound and began to slowly heal it with senjutsu. 'I...I didn't even see him swing that sword. How did he cut me?' Shiro thought as he leapt back just as a jagged spear of rock jutted from the ground. He would skid to a stop just as three blue fire balls shot past him.
Kaizer would slice through each fire ball before sending a glare towards Kuroka, who's palm was held out towards him. "Stay out of this Cat...unless you also wish death."
Kuroka wouldn't respond and instead glanced down at Shiro who had just finished healing his wound. "Both your mother and Asia are stable...but neither of them has woken up yet." She told him before returning her attention back to Kaizer, who had slowly started walking towards them.
"Dammit...I was hoping Ma would wake up and tell us how we can beat this bastard...but I guess we'll just have to experiment." Shiro grumbled.
[BOOST!]
After that boost, Shiro would race towards Kaizer once more as Kuroka conjured up her magic circle, and fired off another flaming wheel. Kaizer would raise his hand. "Mirror world." And create a full body mirror as another Shiro shot out from the mirror and collided with the teen while he sliced Kuroka's spell in half.
Shiro would power through his 'clone' and continue towards Kaizer where he pulled his fist back and attemtped to punch Kaizer. The man would raise his sword to block Shiro before he parried Shiro's punch and knocked him off balance. Kaizer then pulled the sword back in a thrusting motion however he was forced to retreat as flames exploded in front of him.
Shiro also leapt back and landed besides Kuroka. "Dammit, this is going nowhere." Shiro scowled. 'How did mother beat him? How...How did my father beat him? How am I going to beat him.' Shiro thought before his eyes went wide and he raised an eyebrow as he watched Kaizer scowl, turn around and retreat into a dimension. 'The hell?'
"RRRAAAAAA! I GROW TIRED OF THIS!" Kokabiel roared in anger as he suddenly shot up into the skies. Shiro and Kuroka turned around to see that Kokabiel had a cut across his nose, his clothing had tears and burns and his hair seemed to stand on end. "ALL OF YOU. PERISH!" He roared as he held his hands above his hand and conjured up a single spear of light. A spear that was much larger then the one he used to destroy the gym with. A spear that radiated death.
Shiro and Kuroka's eyes went wide and they both raced towards the others just as Kokabiel tossed the spear towards the ground.
[LAIR OF THE WELSH DRAGON! RESET!]
"Shirone!"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Two cries.
That was all that was heard as Kokabiel's spear impacted with the ground with a deafening explosion and created a shockwave that rocked the school grounds and a few blocks away, the people feeling the shockwave ducked under tables in typical earthquake fashion. The explosion also created an unholy amount of dust and displaced more then a few tons of dirt.
After a minute had past, a scowl crossed Kokabiel's face as he saw that, once the dust had settled, all of the pests had survived.
Each member was unconscious and scattered. Kuroka was covering Koneko with her body, Kiba and Xenovia were laying face first in the ground with their swords impailed in the ground, Akeno was hugging Asia tightly and shielding her body from further harm and Rias was laying a few feet away from Lilith and Shiro.
A second later did Kaizer emerge from his dimension and scowled up at Kokabiel. "Oi, next time warn me. You could've killed me as well." Kaizer growled before eyeing the unconscious Lilith and Shiro. "Tch...at least there won't be any more problems now." He muttered as he began to walk up to the last Katsura's. "After I've dealt with these two I'm leaving...you can continue to do whatever. I don't care about some petty war." The man said, glancing over his shoulder to look up at Kokabiel.
Kokabiel simply waved a dismissive hand in front of his face causing Kaizer to scowl once again before looking down at Lilith. He stared at the black haired Katsura before raising his blade. "Goodbye...Lilith." He said, wearing an emotionless gaze, as he plunged the sword down.
"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HER!" Only for a crimson fist to slam into his face sending him flying away.
Kaizer stabbed his sword into the ground to kill his momentum and looked up with a harsh glare as he saw Shiro standing in front of Lilith with his fists raised. "Why are you getting in my way again brat." He spat as he stood up and glared at Shiro. "You're fighting a losing battle."
Shiro swallowed heavily, his body trembling in fear. "I-I'm fighting to protect everyone you damn bastard." Shiro stammered. 'Holy shit I can't stop trembling...there's no way I can win against him and Kokabiel.' Shiro thought as he raised his fists. "I'm the wielder of the Boosted gear and the next head of the Katsuras. I'm not gonna let something like this beat me." Shiro spat.
[BOOST!]
Kaizer glared at Shiro, his eyes glancing at the Boosted gear and Lilith. "If you insist on getting in my way...then I'll start with you." He said before charging at Shiro, something which surprised the silver-haired teen.
'Why isn't he swinging that sword at me?' Shiro thought before shaking his head and rushed forwards to meet Kaizer head on. Shiro was the first to act as he jumped up and swung his right leg around and aimed a kick at Kaizer's head, a kick that was blocked by the hilt of the sword. 'Focus dammit. Ddraig can you channel Senjutsu through my body?' Shiro asked the dragon as he swung his other leg around and aimed a heel-kick, again, at Kaizer's head but this kick Shiro had enhanced with fire magic as the moment his heel collided with the sword, it exploded in a fury of flames.
Kaizer clicked his tongue as he pushed Shiro's feet away and held the blade of his head, the air surrounding the blade would shimmer and become warped. "Dimension slash." Kaizer declaired as he slashed down at Shiro, who narrowly dodged the attack with a burst of wind magic.
The teen would slid to a stop a foot away as he felt Senjutsu flow through his body thanks to Ddraig. "BINDING DRAGON CHAIN PRISON!" Shiro cried as he slammed his hand on the ground and a silver-magic circle appeared beneath Kaizer's feet.
But Shiro's spell did nothing as Kaizer flipped the sword in his hand and stabbed it into the magic circle, dispelling it instantly. "Banish."
Shiro clicked his tongue before biting his lip as an idea came to mind, an idea that would either kill him...or win him the battle. [Shiro...what you're thinking has a fifty-fifty chance of either working you or killing you. I don't reccomend it.] Ddraig's warning echoed through Shiro's mind.
'I have to try Ddraig.' Was Shiro's reply before he charged at Kaizer. Upon reaching Kaizer, Shiro pulled his arm back and threw a straigt jab at Kaizer's chest but missed as the man casually stepped to the side. Shiro's eyes went wide and he gritted his teeth in pain as Kaizer slammed the pommel of the sword in his back but Shiro took this as an opportunity and dropped to his hand and twisted his body in a spinning kick, one which Kaizer in his ribs.
Quickly hopping to his feet, Shiro stepped back before leaping forwards with both hands outstretched. Kaizer would simply click his tongue, duck under Shiro's hands before thrusting his sword up.
SCHLIK!
Shiro's eyes went wide and he coughed up blood as the sword easily pierced through his stomach and emerged out his back. "What was that pathetic attempt brat?" Kaizer questioned as he grabbed Shiro by his throat, with his deformed hand, and stood up, the sword still lodged in Shiro's abdomen. "If you're giving yourself up so willingly...then I'll just take back what is mine here and now." Kaizer smirked as he went to pull the sword out of Shiro, only for the teen to grab his wrist.
A bloody smirked crossed Shiro's face as he grabbed Kaizer's deformed hand and clenched down, tight. "Y-You want it...You can have it." Shiro replied as he stared at Kazier with a sadistic smirk, the gem on the Booster gear glowing bright.
[DOUBLE BOOSTER! TRANSFER!]
Kaizer's eyes went wide in horror as he heard the two callouts before throwing his head back and cried out in agonizing pain. "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" He cried out as he released Shiro's neck and the sword before stumbling back and clutched his arm in pain. "YOU! YOU DAMN BRAT!" He snarled as his deformed arm began to throb and pulsate. In a instant did his arm bubble as boils and abscess' appeared all over and his flesh turned a deep crimson up to his shoulder.
"Y-You said you wanted Ddraig's power." Shiro chuckled before coughing up blood as he yanked the sword out of his abdomen and stabbed it into the ground, using it as a crutch. "I gave you what you wanted." He smirked as his wound slowly started to heal thanks to Senjutsu.
Kaizer said nothing as he dropped to his knees in anguished pain. 'Damn you...Damn you...' "DAMN YOU ARTEMIS!" Kaizer roared as he stumbled to his feet. "EVEN IN DEATH YOU'RE STILL PISSING ME OFF!" He roared before turning around, created a magical portal and stumbled on through.
Shiro stayed standing where he was, breathing heavily, for a few seconds before he allowed himself to relax. "I...I did it..." He muttered as he turned around and began to slowly make his way over to his Mother, his still alive Mother. Despite everything that Kaizer did, the two were still alive. "I did it Mum." Shiro weakly chuckled as he felt his body become heavy from fatigue. "I beat him..." He chuckled as he approached Lilith.
"Forgetting something?"
Before freezing as a smooth voice washed over him...followed by a sudden and sharp pain.
He glanced down to see a yellow spear of light poking out from his chest.
It was also at this point that everyone began to rouse back to consciousness.
First to awaken was Koneko, she groaned in pain before her eyes snapped open as she realised that she felt two sensations. The first was pain, a sharp pain that came from her ankle and when she tried to move it, she hissed as she realised that it was probably broke. The second sensation she felt was the feeling of being in someone's embrace and when she glanced up, her eyes went wide as she saw that her sister, the one who had abandonded her, the one who had caused her so much pain and hardship, was embracing her and using her own body to protect her. "S-Sis..." She weakly muttered.
Koneko's weak and tired voice was enough to rouse Kuroka. The Nekoshou's eyes slowly fluttered open before she groaned in pain before she slowly sat up and held onto her sister's shoulders, staring her deep in the eyes. "...Shirone..." Kuroka softly replied as a smile began to creep across her face. Suddenly, Kuroka pulled Koneko into her exposed bust and nuzzled her cheek against Koneko's head. "I'm so happy you're okay." She muttered.
Koneko, who was too tired and shocked to do anything just sat there in her sister's embrace.
The next to awaken were Kiba and Xenovia, both rised with groans and held their heads in pain. "How...How are we still alive?" Xenovia questioned as she reached towards Durandal and used it as a crutch.
"I'm...not sure but I think Shiro had something to do with it." Kiba replied as he did the same with his Holy-Demonic sword.
The next to awaken were Akeno and Asia, followed by Rias. "Is...Is everyone still alive?" Rias spoke up, her body caked in dirt and her clothes were shredded, exposing her right breast and nipple, while her skirt barely covered her panties. She sighed in relief as she heard confirmations from everyone, even Kuroka who was still embracing her sister...well everyone except Shiro and Lilith.
"Sw-Sweetie..."
But she needn't wait long as she heard Lilith's voice...but her tone sent her heart sinking.
Everyone would slowly glance towards the black-haired Katsura before their gaze slowly followed her's and everyone gasped in horror, a sharp sob coming from Asia, as they all saw Shiro still impaled on the light spear.
"Sh-Shiro say something..." Lilith weakly muttered as she slowly stood up and walked towards her child.
Shiro would glance up, his ice-blue eyes slowly turning dull as the life drained from his body. "I...beat...him..." Shiro softly spoke and gave a weak smile as the light spear vanished allowing him to slump into Lilith's arms, blood quickly coating her dress and arms as she held her dying child.
"N-No...This...this can't be happening." Rias would mutter as she slowly made her way over to the mother-son pair before falling to her knees and gingerly reached out to touch Shiro's cheek. "S-Shiro...please...please say something?" Rias asked as tears streamed down her face.
There was a sudden rush of soft footsteps before golden-locks appeared in Rias' vision followed by a soft green glow. "Don't die. Don't die. Don't die. Don't die." Asia sobbed as she desperately tried to heal Shiro's wound...but nothing was happening. The wound wasn't closing and Shiro wasn't being healed. "Wh-Why isn't this working?" Asia questioned as tears flowed down her face and dripped on the floor.
"He was stabbed with a spear of light...it's a wonder his body is still intact." Lilith weakly replied as she held her dying child.
"You...YOU BASTARD!" Akeno roared in anger as she spun around and held her hands towards Kokabiel, who was watching this all with a smirk. "DIE! THUNDER!" Akeno cried as she fired two large and powerful blasts of lightning towards Kokabiel.
"RAAAAAAAA!" Followed by an angered yell from Kiba as he leapt towards Kokabiel with a pair of Holy-Demonic swords.
Kokabiel smirked as he used his wings to cover his body as Akeno's lightning bolt hit the black-feathed objects and with a single flap, sent both the lightning and Kiba flying away. He then tilted his head to the side as a pair of fire balls was sent soaring past his head and when he glanced towards where the fireballs came from, he saw the white-haired Nekomata stood there, breathing heavily while her fists were coated in blue flames. "HAHAHA SUCH PATHETIC DISPLAYS!" Kokabiel roared in laughter before shivering as he felt a sudden burst of magic, one that felt very familiar. "Finally...the Princess is getting serious." He smirked.
"Kokabiel..." Rias muttered as an angry red aura coated her body, her crimson locks flowing in an unnatural wind and shadowed her face. "I shall grant you a thousand deaths..." She spat as two magic circles appeared in her hands...magic circles that suddenly gained two more above them turning them into triple-layed magic circles. "DIE YOU BASTARD! BE REDUCED TO NOTHING!" She roared as she crossed her arms across her chest while tears streamed down her face.
Uncrossing them, Rias sent a blast of destruction magic that was stronger then anything she had ever produced, even stronger then when Shiro transfered his power to her. However, despite how powerful her spell was, Kokabiel raised his hand and blocked her spell.
"Is that all you have?" He questioned as Rias fell to her knees in exhaustion while smoke wafted from Kokabiel's hand. "You should be honoured...at least I left his body for you." He smirked before covering his body with his wings again as a disk of black-flames exploaded against him. Kokabiel glanced down to see Kuroka glaring at him.
"You..." Kuroka hissed before glancing down at Lilith as she felt a surge of magic coming from the woman. Kuroka glanced over Lilith before her eyes went wide. "Lilith are you seriously doing that spell?" Kuroka panically asked.
Lilith softly chuckled as she set Shiro down on the floor on his back. "This...this is they only way." She replied with a soft chuckle, her eyes never leaving Shiro's body.
She would glance up however when she felt Kuroka place her hand atop hers. "Then take my life!" She suddenly said, surprising everyone. "You know the price of that spell. So trade my life for his instead of yours. He needs you more then anything." She quickly said, panic and worry filling her eyes.
Lilith would stare at Kuroka before smiling softly and shook her head, pushing her hand away. "No...No my time has come to an end." She said as a dark-black magic circle appeared beneath her and Shiro's body. "He doesn't need me anymore Kuroka." She softly chuckled as she ran a hand over Shiro's still warm cheek. "It's time I pass the torch of leadership to him...and for me to be reunited with Artemis." She said as the magic circle began to glow.
"Kuroka...Lilith...what are you talking about?" Asia asked the two.
Kuroka would look towards Asia before looking away and bit her lip. "Lilith is performing a spell...to trade one life with another." Kuroka muttered.
"It's a spell...passed down from leader to leader in the Katsura clan." Lilith continued as her teeth were gritted in pain and her eyes were clenched shut as she held Shiro's face. "A spell that can bring someone back from the dead...at the cost of the casters life." She grunted before throwing her head back and cried out in pain as sharp and sudden sparks of pain flared up in her chest.
Slowly but surely, the hole in Shiro's chest began to slowly close...while blood began to seap from Lilith's.
Lilith panted for breath, sweat dripped down her forehead as she continued casting her spell. A purple, red and yellow barrier was suddenly erected in front of the two as Kokabiel lazily tossed a spear at Lilith.
"Don't you dare touch them!" Akeno, Rias and Kuroka all growled at once.
Kokabiel stared at the three woman before shrugging his shoulders. "Very well...not that it'll matter in the end since you will all perish." He mockingly spat just as Lilith cried in anguished pain once more.
The blacked haired woman would then collapsed to the ground as Shiro's eyes snapped open and he coughed himself back into consciousness. He gasped before breath and sat up straight, breathing heavily and clutching his chest. "Holy fucking shit fuck!" He cursed. "What the fuck was that? Did I just fucking die!" He muttered before grunting as he was suddenly tackled by Asia.
"You're alive!"Asia sobbed as she held Shiro in her arms, crying into his chest. "I-I thought that-that you'd leave us!" She sobbed.
Shiro nervously chuckled as he gently patted Asia on her head. "There there Asia...I ain't going anywhere." He chuckled before a thought crossed his mind. "Wait so I did die? How the hell am I still alive?" He questioned before glancing around as everyone became deathly quiet...until he heard his mother's voice. Her weak and dying voice.
"I-I'm glad...the spell worked..." Lilith mumbled with a bloody chuckle.
Shiro slowly turned his head towards his Mother before his breathing quickened as he saw that blood dripped down her chin and nose while her eyes were bloodshot and tired. "Wh...What..." He weakly muttered as he released Asia and reached out towards Lilith. "M-Mum...what happened to you?" He asked before she coughed up more blood and collapsed. "A-ASIA! QUICKLY HEAL HER!" He yelled.
"R-Right!" The blonde nodded as she turned to start healing Lilith but a bloody hand stopped her.
"N...No..." Lilith weakly muttered and shook her head. "Th-This spell...trades one life...for another..."
"Wh-What are you saying?" Shiro questioned as tears filled his eyes.
"What she's saying Shiro." Kuroka's soft voice came from behind him as she felt the Nekoshou's hand on his shoulder. "Is that no amount of healing can save her..." She told him. Shiro quickly whipped his head around, a harsh scowl on his face, before his expression softened as he saw that Kuroka refused to meet his gaze and she held a somber look. "I...I offered to trade my life but...but she denied it."
"Be-Because you si-silly cat..." Lilith weakly chuckled, a chuckle which turned into a bloody cough. "You...You still need to ma-make amends with Koneko..." She smiled as she started to gasp for breath.
"Sa...Save your energy Mum!" Shiro quickly said as he held her hand. "I-If that spell saved my life, then why can't it do the same!" Shiro quickly spat as he looked around for someone to...sacrifice but the only person he could think of...was Kokabiel.
But said thought's came to an abrupt halt when Lilith weakly raised her arm and placed a hand on his cheek. "Be...Because...the spell...can't be used...on someone who's already used it." She told him. "E-Even if it could...you don't have...have the knowledge...it could kill you instead...instead of reviving me." She told him before sharply gasping as she felt her life slowly fade. "E-Everyone...listen." She said before the members of the ORC plus Xenovia gathered around her body. "Fi-First...don't be...be mad at Shiro f-for keeping Kuroka's existance...a secret." She said as the members nervously glanced between each other. "S-Second...I want...I want you all to look after Shiro a-and make...make sure he doesn't do a-anything stupid." She chuckled.
Nobody said anything back as they were too busy in trying to hold back their tears while listening to Shiro's soft sobs.
"K-Kuroka..." Lilith suddenly said as she distantly gazed up at the sky. "T-Take...Shiro back home...he's...now...the...head"
And that...that was Lilith Katsura's final words as her hand slid off Shiro's cheek and fell limp. "M...Mum?" Shiro weakly questioned as he his Mother's hand. "No...No no no NO!" He cried as he stared at his Mother's peaceful expression. "WAKE UP DAMMIT! YOU-YOU CAN'T DIE NOW! I'M NOT...I'M NOT READY TO BE A LEADER!" Shiro cried out in anger, fustration and sadness.
Everyone was silent and the mood was somber as they watched Shiro cry over Lilith's body but he wasn't the only one. Asia was also softly sobbing next to Shiro, Kiba and Xenovia were both on one knee and had their swords stabbed in the ground in a sign of honour, Akeno had tears flowing down her face and so did the Nekoshou siblings.
While Rias...Rias moved to sit behind Shiro and wrapped her arms around him in a comforting hug. "I...I'm so sorry Shiro." She softly spoke. "I failed to protect you all...as a 'King' and a Gremory...I'm a failure."
"What an interesting little group you have Gremory." That's when Kokabiel's voice cut through the somber mood like a sharp knife. "A reject from the Holy sword project, the Twilight healing, the daughter of Baraqiel and the Red Dragon Emperor and last living Katsura." He smirked before chuckling as he saw Shiro's and Akeno's bodies stiffen. "Oho? Did the little Red Dragon Emperor not know?"
"Don't..." Akeno quietly said before whipping around to glare at Kokabiel, lightning arcing off her body. "DON'T YOU DARE ASSOCIATE ME WITH THAT CREATURE!" She roared in anger and fired off an itense and giant bolt of lightning.
"Weak." Kokabiel chuckled as he swatted her spell away.
Akeno's legs trembled before she fell to the ground in a heap and was breathing heavily. "Don't..." Akeno muttered before glancing up as she heard footsteps approaching her before she saw Shiro walking past her, his hair shadowing his face.
"[Oi Fallen Angel.]" A deep voice rumbled from the Boosted gear. "[You've done a very, very foolish thing.]" Ddraig rumbled in anger.
"T-The gauntlet spoke!" Rias questioned in shock and surprise.
There was a sudden explosion of red aura and silver aura that erupted from Shiro's body, mana swirling angrily around him. [But at the same time...we should thank you.]
"You've helped me peak..." Shiro said, his voice being nothing more then an animalistic rumble that shook everyone to their core.
The gem on Shiro's Boosted gear began to shine brilliantly before he raised it in front of him as the aura was absorbed into the Boosted gear...and then it happened.
[WELSH DRAGON: BALANCE BREAKER!]
An explosion of magic and aura burst from Shiro's body as he was suddenly clad in the deep-red Scail mail however there were a few changes from the last time Shiro used the Scail Mail. Instead of it being a solid red with green gems and yellow spikes, the armour had silver accent's that connected each of the gems and the yellow spikes had turned a shiny and metallic silver and the pair of dragon wings that erupted from his back were also a metallic silver. "Balance breaker Scail Mail." Shiro emotionlessly muttered as he glared at Kokabiel.
[DOUBLE BOOSTER! DOUBLE BOOSTER! DOUBLE BOOSTER!]
The armour called out as Shiro's power was doubled, quadrupled and then eightfold. Shiro crouched down low before kicking off the ground, creating a large crater followed by a miniture sonicboom as he suddenly vanished. Only reappear in front of Kokabiel with his foot lodged into the Fallen Angel's stomach. Kokabiel's body warped around Shiro's foot, coughing up a large amount of blood, before he was sent flying back as displaced air erupted outwards from his body.
Shiro then vanished againg before appearing behind Kokabiel, his leg pulled back, before he lashed out and kicked Kokabiel in has back sending him soaring towards the ground. The Fallen angel would crash into the ground in eruption of dust and dirt. A second later would Kokabiel soar out of the dust cloud, breathing heavily with an angered expression. "Damn you Red Dragon. DIE!" He roared as he held his hands above his head and summoned a large spear of light, one in which he put all his power into.
With a roar of anger, Kokabiel would throw the spear at Shiro, he did nothing except hover in the air. Shiro would simply raise his arm and swat the spear and shatter it like it was nothing.
[BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST! BOOST!]
"Die..." Shiro rumbled as he held up his right hand and began to gather magical energy mixed in with Senjutsu but this...unholy combination of power was enough to make Koneko and Kuroka drop to the ground and dry heave while everyone else felt a pressure weigh down on them.
"D-Disgusting..." Koneko muttered as she shivered in Kuroka's embrace, who was once again holding her protectively.
"Th-That aura...it isn't Shiro." Kuroka muttered as she took deep breaths. "Th-This feels like...like the time I went crazy." She admitted, and for her to admit something like that...it made everyone worry for Shiro's sanity.
"RED DRAGON GAUSS RIFLE!" He roared and fired the beam towards Kokabiel.
The Fallen Angel felt a sudden sensation of impending doom and fear as he covered his body with his wings followed by a triple-layed protection magic circle...which shattered upon Shiro's attack colliding with it. "DAMN YOU RED DRAGON EMPEROR! DAMN YOU AZAZEL!" Kokabiel roared as red filled his vision before his body was engufled by Shiro's attack.
The Fallen Angel would plummet to the ground in a smoking heap, his eyes rolled in the back of his head and his body charred...but he was still alive.
Shiro would also descended to the ground and furl his wings but would stay in his Balance Breaker as he stared at Kokabiel's smoking and charred body. "Still alive..." He muttered as he raised his hand towards the Fallen Angel once more and began to gather magic again.
"Interesting..."
However, a smooth voice would cause him to halt as he felt a sudden wave of pressure wash over his body and cause him to shiver. Not in fear...but in anger. He didn't know why he was angry at this new pressence, but he knew that this anger wasn't his. That's when the source of the voice appeared by shattering the protective barrier Sona's group had set up and a shining and brilliant light descended from the skies.
Shiro would glance up at the light and growl lowly when he saw someone wearing armour similar to his but this armour was a pure white with blue gems adorning the armour while a pair of blue, glowing wings sprouted from their back.
"I was wrong about you...you've managed to acquire your Balance Breaker earlier then I expected." The man, going from the tone of voice and body shape, chuckled. "But now isn't our time to duel." The man spoke before vanishing from sight before appearing above Kokabiel. "I've been sent to retrieve this one." He said as he reached down and manhandled the unconscious Kokabiel.
"Who the hell are you?" Shiro questioned as he watched the new comer turn his attention to Freed.
The man would turn to face Shiro before chuckling. "I am the Vanishing Dragon, Albion." The man replied before turning away from Shiro before quickly raising a hand to block a punch from Shiro, a small shockwave occuring from the force of his punch. "Hmph...unfourtunetly, I'm not here to fight you while you aren't at full power." He said while releasing Shiro's hand.
Shiro glared at Albion before his eyes went wide and he suddenly collapsed to his knees coughing up blood. [You've pushed yourself to hard Shiro.] Ddraig hissed at Shiro before the Dragon turned his attention to his old time enemy. ["Seems like we've met each other on unfourtunate terms, eh Albion?"] Ddraig said, the gems on Shiro's armour glowing as the Dragon spoke.
Albion would turn to face Shiro before his wings started to glow as a second voice spoke up. ["It seems so Ddraig...but we were always destined to meet...we shall meet each other again Ddraig."]
["Yeah..."]
After the two Dragon's had finished convercing with each other, the armour covering Shiro shattered into magic particles before fading away leaving the unconscious teen laying face first in the dirt. "Shiro!" Rias cried at as she swiftly ran over to him, gently lifted his head up and rested it on her thighs. "You silly boy...worrying me for nothing." She softly chuckled with tears flowing down her cheeks before she was joined by Asia who started to heal his wounds...but she could do nothing for his stamina.
That's when a second glow joined Asia's. "I'll do what I can for his stamina now." Kuroka started to say as she laid her hands on his chest. "But for me to properly restore his stamina we need to take him back home." She said before shivering as she felt a sharp glare aimed at her. She glanced up to see Rias glaring at her before the red head sighed.
"Fine...but I'm going to be helping whether you like it or not." The red head sharply said. "I still don't trust you...despite what you've done here...and how you protected Koneko."
"So this is where you've been Kuroka." Albion, the human-voice not the Dragon, said as he now carried both Freed and Kokabiel under his arms.
Kuroka stopped healing Shiro's stamina to stand up and turn around to glare at Albion. "Vali...long time no see." She hissed. "And yes...I've been with the Red Dragon Emperor ever since I left." She replied, crossing her arms under her bust.
Vali stared at her for a second before glancing down to Shiro before back to her. "And is this your final choice?" He asked.
"It is."
"...So be it." Vali nodded before vanishing in a brilliant light.
A second later after Vali left did a brillant crimson light flood the field and after it died down, Sirzechs, Grayfia and the members of his peerage appeared. Sirzechs quickly scanned the field before his eyes fell upon his sister, the unconscious Shiro, Kuroka and the other memebers of Rias' familia before his eyes finally fell upon the desceased Lilith.
The Satan's heart sank as he stared at the woman's corpse before gritting his teeth and clenched his fists, letting some of his Destruction magic to leak out. "I was too late."
"My Lord..." Greyfia softly said as she placed a hand on his shoulder before sighing softly. "Perhaps...perhaps we should recover her body and clean up here." Greyfia suggested before a sudden gasp caused her to turn around.
"Lord Sirzechs." Sona spoke as she and the other members of her group bowed their heads. "Please leave fixing the school to me and my familia."
"Ho-Holy shit..." Saji's sudden curse and sharp gasp caused her to glare at him before she raised an eyebrow upon seeing his wide eyed expression. "I-Is that...Shiro's mum?" He questioned, pointing towards Lilith's corpse.
Grayfia would quickly stand in front of Lilith's corpse to block their view of her. "Please forget you saw that." She sharply said, her tone leaving no room to argue and showing that she was extremely serious.
"Sona...that would be very appreciated." Sirzechs nodded as he turned his head and nodded to his group, who looked between each other before bowing slightly and vanished. "Grayfia...would you please recover Lilith." He told her before his 'Queen' solemnly nodded and walked over to Lilith's corpse and gently picked her up in her arms, while Sirzechs walked over to the embeded Gearradair Meud and pulled it out of the ground, conjuring up a sheathe for it.
Once he had done that, he slowly made his way towards his sister, pausing upon reaching her, before gently placing a hand on her shoulder. "Perhaps it's time to go home Rias."
"Sirzechs." The Satan glanced over to Kuroka. "Lilith...Lilith told me to take Shiro back home..." She told him.
Sirzechs stared at Kuroka for a second before his eyes widened as he understood what she meant. "I see...yes...yes that would make sense she wanted that." He softly sighed before standing up straight. "First, you should heal back to consciousness and then...and then you may return to the Underworld to help Shiro return to the Village."
"Brother what are you saying!" Rias sharply said as glared up at her brother. "Why are you letting her return to the Underworld? It may've been Lilith's wishes but she's still a criminal!" She spat.
Sirzechs would merely glance at his little sister before glancing towards the other members of her familia, his eyes lingering on Koneko. "I...have something to say to you all. Something that relates to Kuroka." He sighed heavily as Grayfia joined him. "But not here, not now. First take Shiro back to his home and heal him and once he's stable...then we'll talk." He told her before placing the Gearradair Meud on the ground and walked to the centre of the field. His eyes narrowed and he held out his hand, his palm facing the ground, before sending out a pulse of magic that destroyed the Earth Breaker spell with ease.
And with that, finally, the battle for Kuoh had ended with a bitter sweet victory.
Whew this...this was an intense chapter.
Now, before any reviews happen I'm going to say this. When I started writing this, as in when I started writing chapter 1, there were certain events that were going to happen no matter what. Such events were Shiro's first time, which will most likely happen soon, how he would unlock his balance breaker, members of his peerage when he becames a high-class Devil and finally...Lilith's death.
That's right, Shiro's mother was always meant to die. Whether it was from Kaizer or, as you saw here, using her life to bring Shiro back to life and it just so happened this was also a chance for Shiro to unlock his balance breaker. The anger he felt towards Kaizer and Kokabiel, his Mother dying in his arms and learning that Akeno was the daughter of a Fallen Angel was enough to push him over the edge, quiet literally. Also as you all saw, I decided to give the Boosted gear some abilities, this is mainly to counter Vali's Half Dimension and the main on to counter that, not literally counter, was Lair of the Red Dragon, an absolute defence that uses Ddraig's aura to protect himself or an area around Shiro.
Another thing before y'all write any reviews, my style of writing is this 'If I enjoy it, then I don't care who doesn't'. It's why I stoped writing the first LoaDS. I just wasn't enjoying it anymore.
Alright, what's next uhhhhh oh yeah, a change to Shiro's harem:
1) Kuroka (yes she's still first)
2) Akeno
3) Koneko
4) Rias (congrates, you've been bumped up)
5) Xenovia
6) Ravel
7) Kiryuu
That's right, I'm taking out the OC and Grayfia. I'm taking out the OC cause I don't really know where to put her, she's an anomaly, and I'm taking out Grayfia because she doesn't love Shiro, she loved Shiro's father and that's who Shiro reminds her of. If I were to add her to the Harem, there would be no love between her and Shiro and that just doesn't sit right with me. I might do a one-off between her and Shiro but I don't have plans for the silver-haired beauty. Next, the reason why I'm adding Kiryuu, well let's just say she's gonna start crushing on Shiro, while not soon...she will because I have plans for her AND Matsuda and Motohama.
One last thing is a review that caught my eye from one MongoStomp910 who said 'Yasaka please'
Now, I know who Yasaka is and I can say this. I'm thinking on adding the Youkai MILF to Shiro's harem but she's on the same fence as Grayfia with a slight difference. That difference is she didn't know Shiro's father but I feel like there won't be any love between her and Shiro but like Grayfia, I may do a one off. Tell me your thoughts, would you want to see Yasaka in Shiro's Harem or not? And the same goes for her daugther, Kunou. I still haven't seen S4 so I don't know how things are gonna go but that's a bridge to cross when we get their.
Anyways that's all for now. In the next chapter will be the aftermath of battle, Shiro returning back home, the group learning about Kuroka's true reason, karaoke and a trip to the pool...what could go wrong?
