Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Shadow Clovers. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Totally spies, Vincent, David Michel and a few others do.

Umbra arrived at his house battered and exhausted. He was glad at the very least he didn't have to worry about people spotting him or something.

Umbra landed on the front step of his house before yawning and starting to walk inside to get some sleep.

"Ray." Umbra blinked before slowly turning around to hear someone clear their throat at him.

"You know, I never expected the nerdy boy in my class to be a superhero." Umbra turned to see who he thought he saw before.

Clover Ewing, the very same one he shared classes with at the school. she crossed her arms as Umbra went to speak, the pink catsuit that Clover wore made him raise an eyebrow.

"I know that's you." Umbra didn't know what to say, she had seen him on the plane and he didn't expect to meet Clover again at his own home.

"What are you doing here?" Ray asked as he slowly trod up to the spy, looking around.

No, nobody was coming, Beverly Hills was such a place that noise was too common to be considered out of place.

"I don't know, what are YOU doing with that armor?" Clover hummed and tapped a finger on Ray's suit.

All things considered? It was a nice suit, Clover just didn't fancy armor to begin with, it took away from her skills.

"I'll ask you the same thing with your catsuit." Ray asked, raising an armored eyebrow at the girl.

Clover was always direct when it came to things. She could have approached the topic in a thousand different ways, but she wanted direct answers. He respected that from her… still, it annoyed him how she knew.

What was she doing on a mission that nobody should have known about? CCC made sure the entire airspace was clear before mobilizing and there wasn't at all a trace of groups that could track them.

"Its… Complicated." Clover sounded unsure of what to say, a very far cry from the energetic, happy valley girl he met when she showed him around school.

"It involves my parents and a lot of bad guys who want to keep hurting them." Ray stated to Clover who blinked.

Ray wasn't going to hide who he was. He knew he was fighting a war against criminals and yet not being with the police.

Then again? Unless the government was deploying adults in their early 20s to late teens? He doubted he'd qualify for the group to begin with.

"Why were you on that plane? Nobody was supposed to know about it and you seem awfully informed of something you didn't expect from what I saw." Ray asked, knowing Clover was hiding something.

That was when the small compact she had rung and she answered it… Jerry, Clover didn't know why her boss/friend was contacting her but…

"Hello, Ray." Ray rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Does everyone know who I am? I kind of designed this armor to make that impossible." Ray turned to the side and then looked at the screen.

"Yes… wellbeing someone like me? I have my ways… I believe you and Clover have already met?" Jerry asked as Ray hummed.

"Since I don't really care to lie? Yes, we met in collage… how exactly do you know me considering I've never had someone track me down like this unless their working for the very same group who is trying to destroy me like I am with them?" Ray asked as he looked around.

No surveillance systems his armor was picking up, no real way to know.

"Clover, Sam and Alex have located the rest of Ray's group… if you don't mind coming in for tonight?" Ray raised an eyebrow and then looked at Clover.

The fact that she had a compact mirror that turned into a phone, the fact her boss looked like the majority of James Bond movies tended to be… and the fact that the girl wore a super pink spy catsuit that wouldn't look out of place in a movie?

"You're a… spy?" Clover rolled her eyes but nodded as Ray turned to the side with confusion, clearly processing the information.

And that was going to take up to the next month for him to digest… but ok, seems he didn't really have time to do that, so screw it… better move on.

"So… Does that make Sam and Alex spies or am I just going to guess you're the only spy in the entire town?" Ray's tone dripped with sarcasm from the sheer fact that he couldn't believe how much weirder town got.

"What do you think?" Clover watched Ray roll his eyes before he sighed and decided to simply lean on a street lamp till they could do something else.

And then said object cracked off the base and smashed into a gutter, denting the pavement.
