Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Shadow Clovers. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Totally spies, Vincent, David Michel and a few others do.

The Phoenix's Egg was the name of the hotel that WOOPH had booked both Ray, the spies, and Ray's friends.

"So, let's go over the plan again." Sam said and looked at the others. They had gathered on the roof of the hotel to discuss the mission. "We're all here, Jerry." Sam said as she opened her compound.

"Excellent." Jerry stated before taking a moment to clear his throat. "Your contact is Catherine Roji. She's a British CEO of the Tech Company 'Vice'. CCC has apparently decided that she's a problem to their plans and sent an assassination squad here." Jerry added while Ray hummed and looked at the others.

"Well, if they sent a specialist?" Ray questioned with a raised eyebrow. "Then like I said… They want this person DEAD." Ray added before Jerry nodded and hummed.

"Yes, apparently Ms. Roji is taking a great risk to reach out to us." Jerry stated and straightened his tie. "They want us to extract them in exchange for information. Since you and your friends are experts on CCC? I would like Ray to handle security." Jerry added before Luke raised his eyebrow.

"We're supposed to be security while THEY…" Lucas stated while he cracked his arms and pointed at Sam, Clover, and Alex. "Handle getting the VIP to some fancy jet or something?" Luke questioned before Ray turned to look at him.

"Luke, knock it off." Ray hissed to his friend. "If Jerry wants us to handle security? We do it. You think just because we're security against TERRORISTS that we're getting babied?" Ray questioned Luke who had no words for this.

"If it makes you feel any better, I will need at least 2 of you to provide backup for the exaction jet." Jerry said while letting out a hum. "We are extracting Cathroine at an old naval base." Jerry said before Ray looked at Clover.

"So, we just happen to have a naval base around that a jet will be arriving at?" Ray questioned Jerry. "I wish we had known that before we arrived, it would have helped things a lot more when we picked a spot to land." Ray said with a smile.

"Are you always this optimistic?" Clover asked as Ray turned to look at her.

"Well, considering I get to see which one of us is a better fighter?" Ray asked while crossing his arms. "I am… Amy, you're still taking up sniper position. Your armor was built for long range and short-range combat. Nothing else. I'll let Jerry pick where everyone else is going to be." Ray said as he rested his hand in his chin.

"You guys were always like this, weren't you?" Alex asked as Ray hummed, Clover said nothing and looked to the side with a blush. "Well, I'm glad you guys are backing us up." Alex said before Amy giggled.

"Trust us, we're glad to have backup." Amy put in before turning to Ray. "Ray, you remember that time where you got pinned down and had to hide in instant cement!? We had to dig you out, it was fun!" Amy put in while Ray buried his head in his hands. Clover and the other spies giggled before Jerry cleared his throat.

"Well, I will send you the pickup location in an hour. Ms. Roji wishes to meet at midnight." Jerry put in as Luke chuckled.

"Ah, a good old midnight rendezvous. So romantic," Luke joked while Ray let out a sigh.

"Oh, I hope someone shoots me tonight." Ray muttered with sarcasm dripping from his tone. "Jerry, we're be right where you need us. Have you heard which of the specalists are coming to hunt the vip down yet? It might help us come up with a plan if we know." Ray said while his friends nodded.

"I did send that list to you, didn't i?" Amy questioned while Jerry typed at his computer.

"I'll review it and get back to you." Jerry stated with a sheepish smile. "Sam, your in charge of the extraction until further notice." Jerry said and logged off.

"Well, I'm going to guess we just do what you say until Jerry comes back?" Ray questioned and turned to his friends. "Go get the suits, we have a hour to get ready. The longer we take to get on with this mission, the longer CCC is going to be able to plan to kill this woman." Ray stated and let out a hum.

"Ray, we're going to need any intel you guys have on CCC." Sam said before Ray pointed to Amy who waved.

"I'll come back and fill in any gaps… In the meantime?" Ray questioned and cracked his neck. "Amy will tell you anything, like I said… Gossip expert." Ray said before descending the staircase.

Clover looked at Amy as the Shadow Squad member gave a wave with her hands.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that Ray and Clover will be fighting side by side soon. Next chapter will end up being in a week or so and will show Ray, Clover, and both of their groups in the mission and another flashback. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
