Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Shadow Clovers. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Totally spies, Vincent, David Michel and a few others do.
Umbra looked at the fleet of boats and wondered why CCC was going all out. He was starting to think whoever this target was had information that could put CCC in a hole.
"Someone please give me an update?" Umbra ordered as he dodged a rocket.
He opened fire with the wrist blasters and watched one boat explode in a ball of flames. The CCC soldiers aboard it rolled into the ocean.
Umbra didn't get an answer and felt something slam into the back of his armor. It sparked while its wearer grunted in pain. Umbra hummed and looked at the ocean before the shields rebooted.
"Should I point out that this VIP is going to bring down CCC?" Umbra questioned and dodged another rocket from the boats. "Someone needs to give me a heads up! I'm trying to deal with a war fleet here!" Umbra stated as he flew high into the air.
Umbra was answered a moment later by Oni.
"We're dealing with a kill team at the moment." Oni stated while Umbra hummed and rolled his eyes. "What about you? I think your spy buddy is taking care of the VIP." Oni stated while Umbra landed on one of the boats.
He tossed one of the pilots out of the speedboat. Another pulled something from a pouch on his hip. It was a stun baton.
Umbra looked the soldier in the eye and raised a metallic eyebrow. Umbra responded by simply jetting into the air. Umbra looked at the boat before another burst of gunfire forced him to dodge it.
"If someone wants to secure the VIP so I can get some backup?" Umbra questioned and looked around at the groups of CCC soldiers. "I wouldn't mind it. I'm not going to be a glory hound at the moment." Umbra put in as he sighed.
Umbra spread the suit's wings and climbed higher into the air. Umbra sighed before deciding to double back towards where the others were.
"There's far too many boats for me to stop alone!" Umbra said and sighed. "I'm coming back! Oni! Get the VIP to the plane and out of here!" Umbra ordered to the others.
Umbra kicked in the suit's jets. He blasted himself closer towards the docks and looked over his shoulder.
"We're fighting off CCC as much as we can." Shade put in to Umbra. "There's dozens of soldiers out here!" Shade added to which Umbra sighed.
"Just hold them off as much as you can." Umbra put in before spiraling through the air.
The others looked at their leader before he smashed into the ground. Umbra looked around with confusion as the CCC helicopter flew overhead.
"Something tells me this is a diversion." Umbra put in while the CCC boats started to circle the water. They resembled a row of hungry sharks.
Umbra didn't question them being similar. They wanted blood just as much as the animals did in real life.
"Where is Sam, Clover, and Alex?" Umbra questioned his friend before raising an eyebrow. They looked around and shrugged as another helicopter roared overhead.
Umbra hummed as the chopper buzzed overhead. Umbra knew for a fact that he looked to the side.
"I don't know, they vanished during the fighting." Shade pointed out while looking at the soldiers. "We told them to get out of here while we deal with the CCC assault." Shade added which made Umbra hum.
Umbra nodded before they heard the sounds of guns being cocked. Umbra looked over his shoulder at the boats.
CCC soldiers filed out which made Umbra look at his friends.
"I think we've overstayed our welcome." Umbra stated which made his friends nodded.
Umbra spread his wings while the CCC soldiers started to rush forward. They brought their rifles up only for Oni to smash his hammer into the ground.
A massive shockwave spread out from the impact. This knocked most of the CCC soldiers off their feet. Umbra could hear the sounds of sirens in the distance.
"Move out!" Umbra yelled before firing up the jets on his armor.
He vanished into the air which was slowly followed by his friends as they sped off after Umbra.
"Should I point out CCC sent an army after someone?" Oni asked as Umbra nodded. "I can't believe they're that determined to kill someone. They never did that on our soil." Oni put in before Umbra nodded and looked down.
The CCC soldiers were busy engaging cops in firefights. Umbra couldn't believe that CCC was willing to violet an almost unseen rule that he had seen.
"Their ramping things up if that was all to kill one VIP…" Umbra stated to his friends while following after the jet.
"This isn't normal for CCC… Are they trying to hunt WOOPH or something?" Shade questioned which made Umbra shrug.
"I don't know… Jerry would." Umbra responded and kicked in the afterburners.

Phew, another chapter done! I want to point out the fighting scenes are going to get more intense. Next chapter will end up being in 2-10 weeks and will show Umbra and the others regrouping with WOOPH and more bonding between Umbra and Clover. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
