Birthday Surprise!
Chapter 1: Goodbye to Family
Jimmy slowly climbs out of bed. He is a millionaire, due to an invention patent he has on Goddard. Now, instead of one Goddard running around, there are hundreds. Kidding! Actually, the real reason he's rich is because he made a new, non-addicting mega candy. Anyways, Jimmy slowly wakes up from his slumber. He gets dressed in a tuxedo. Today wasn't a happy day. Today was the day of his mom and dad's funeral. This was indeed a sad day. Jimmy thinks back to how they died. Apparently, his mother had a stroke and when she went to the hospital, she died. After hearing the news, his dad had a heart attack. The doctors tried to revive him, but once they couldn't, they pronounced him dead. As soon as Jimmy heard the news, he started to cry. Even now, 2 weeks after he heard the news, it still pained him to know that he will never see his parents alive again. Tears gently rolled down his eyes. It didn't help that he had no friends to comfort him. They all just vanished after high school. Now, two weeks before his 19th birthday, he had to go to this funeral. Jimmy, after wiping his tears away, starts to descent the long stairs to the kitchen, where his personal chief already made him breakfast.
"Good Morning." said the chief, whose name is Dave.
"Hi Dave." said Jimmy, sadly.
"Why so glum?" asked Dave.
"Oh, today is the day of the funeral." said Jimmy.
Jimmy starts to eat his breakfast.
Dave, attempting to change the subject, asks "How do you like the food?"
"It's good. It'd be better if I where in a better mood though." said Jimmy.
Dave sits beside Jimmy.
"Look, I know it's hard to lose your parents. I lost mine at a young age too. Point being, you can't become depressed. Remember, death is inevitable." said Dave in a sympathetic tone.
"Thanks Dave. I had better go. The funeral starts in a hour." said Jimmy.
Dave simply nods. Jimmy leaves the room, with tears in his eyes. He enters his red BMW and drives to the funeral home.
One hour later, he arrives at the funeral home. He turns off his car and exit's the car. He enters the funeral home and sits down. He prays as he follows the instructions of the funeral director. The mass is near its end.
"Now, if anybody would like to say anything about Mr. Hubert Neutron or Ms. Judy Neutron, please do so now."
Some people go up and say a few words. Finally, the podium is free for Jimmy's use. He stands up and walks to the podium, and as he does, he fells his heart go heavy as it increases in heart rate. He reaches the podium.
"First, I would like to say that my mom and dad were very friendly people. My mother, while being strict, was a very loving person. My dad, while being a bit eccentric, was a loving person who didn't have a bad bone in his body. I'm sure we all miss them. I love you mom and dad! I miss you!" said Jimmy.
Jimmy was now in tears.
"Well, if that is everybody, I declare this part of the funeral over. If everybody would follow me to the gravesite, for the burial of Ms. and Mr. Neutron. There, we will say one final prayer." said the funeral director.
Everyone stands up and follows the funeral director. Within one hour, everyone was at the gravesite. They all say the final prayer and go home. Jimmy was the last one to go. He puts a rose in one each of his parents' grave, and says a special prayer. He then leaves to go home. There is one thought going through Jimmy's mind.
I love you both, and I miss you so much.
