Chapter 9:Sub-zero
Somewhere...
"Brr! It's really this cold even though it's already the end of May..." Ryan shivered as he looked around. As far as the eye could see, they were in some kind of remote mountain range.
"So cold!" Kazuya wrapped his arms around herself to keep warm. She was probably not accustomed to the drastic temperature change.
"It seems that in May the temperature here can even go into the negatives." Satellizer commented.
"It gets in the negatives in May!?" Ryan and Kazuya spoke in unison. They then cast their gaze to a massive facility unit. Walking inside they were greeted by a lot of Pandoras and their limiters from a different countries. After their battle with East Pandora, President Chiffon announced that there was a large meeting at the E-Pandora Research Facility and since most of the Pandoras were healing, she could only take a few.
"Wow!" Rana exclaimed as she took a look around the packed room. "I'm just wearing my uniform, but to wear regular clothes to a briefing is just...is it casual? Is it formal? I don't know."
"I don't think our appearance matters...grrrrrr damn cast!" Eva looked at the sling with disappointment. With little to no time to argue, Eva was given antibiotics, a sling for her broken arm and shoved into the giant helicopter along with her friends.
"Oh look! They have food, it's like a party!" Rana excitedly pointed at the tables. It looked like a buffet.
"We're a little out of place, right?" Satellizer said. "Genetics is a military facility too, and yet...this mood is a little..."
"This is kind of unexpected huh Sempai?" Kazuya smiled.
"It seems this place is much more like a civilian facility than a military one."
"Chiffon-sempai! And Elizabeth-sempai too!" They responded as they watched their president and their senior approach.
"It seems this facility just recently became under chevalier management. It certainly isn't military-ish, but isn't this kind of thing nice too?"
"However, considering this is where Genetics Pandora from around the world are meeting, this atmosphere is just beyond words." Elizabeth commented drily.
"Oh?" Chiffon lifted a hand to her mouth in thought. "You say that, but isn't everyone really fired up?"
"I'm the same as usual!" Suddenly the lights turned off and all the chatter stopped. Everyone directed their attention to the stage. The light shined on a woman standing behind the pedestal. She tapped the microphone to make sure that it worked before clearing her throat.
"Pandora conferring from across the globe, and of course you limiters. First, please allow me to extend my gratitude to all of you able to be on the front lines of the for mankind's future and existence. I am the chief researcher of the E-Pandora Project, Scarlet Ohara." There a few whispering among the guests but they continued to give her their full attention.
"The official name of this project is 'Evolution Pandora Project'. Literally a project with the aim to evolving Pandora. The current Pandora system only uses women endowed with the aptitude for stigmata at birth. That is, only limited people were able to serve...No, it was something like destiny, where they didn't have the option to not serve."
As she listened to Ohara's words, Eva noticed Pandoras from the United States, France, German, China, Korea and India. The sound of cheering and clapping caught her attention and she realized that the speech was over. Appreciating the standing ovation, she encouraged them to continue partying, the food and other necessities were on the house.
"Still though, why isn't Dr. Aoi the one in charge?" A voice nearby spoke and it caught Kazuya's attention. Looking to his right, he spotted two women getting food on their plates.
"I overheard Dr. Aoi talking, he was opposed to this project."
"So, they decided to cut down his opposition and move forward?"
"Yes, the rumor that after that he volunteered to go underwater to work on an opposing project surprisingly may be true."
"Um, excuse me?" Ryan summoned the courage to approach them. "Is what you said about Dr. Aoi being opposed true?"
"And you are?" One of them asked. Rana, stealthy like a monkey, took over and introduced Ryan. This lead to him introducing himself as one of Aoi Gengo's grandsons.
"This is the first time I've heard of this. Aoi Gengo's grandson is a limiter? The entire family working around Nova is just..." The strange woman commented as she approached the group.
"Oh, aren't you...Number 1 of America Genetics' third years the Immortal, Roxanne Elipton?" Chiffon asked as she recognized her.
"Hi," Roxanne said in English.
"Limiter Han Shi-Jing-san too. Long time no see." Roxanne's limiter bowed his head in response.
"Out of all Genetics, she is number 2 of the top 5 third years. The Immortal Roxanne and the Monster Chiffon." All around Pandoras and limiters alike were whispering amongst one another.
"Sorry I didn't write, Chiffon Fairchild." Roxanne smiled.
"Yes, it has been 2 years since the last World Assembly." Chiffon replied.
"More importantly..." Roxanne turned her gaze to the younger guest. "You are Dr. Aoi's grandson?"
"Yes! I am Aoi Kazuya." He responded politely.
"That's harsh...I wonder if truly everyone in the family is burdened with the fate of battle. However, it is because you are Aoi Family that I respect you. And Aoi Gengo too...and even Aoi Keiko, who gave her own life for humanity's sake."
Thank you very much." He said, feeling grateful for those kind words.
"Who is that nervous girl next to you? Oh and that Man?" She just noticed Satellizer fidgeting next to her limiter and Rya who stiffened at the term boy.
"Its been long awaited, so I'll introduce her." Chiffon took over and started to introduce her group. "From West Genetics Japan, we have Elizabeth Mably, a 3rd year and her limiter Andre Francoise. Rana Linchen, a 2nd year. Lastly Satellizer El Bridget, also a 2nd year and her limiter Aoi Ryan & Aoi Kazuya."
"Wow, Satellizer you say?!" Roxanne was suddenly full of excitement as she gazed at Satellizer with gleaming eyes. "Asia's rumored Untouchable Queen!? The girl famous even in America for her skill!?
Even though, that Cassie Lockheart was able to manipulate the enemy, didn't you defeat her in the 10th clash?" Her mood deepened and this creepy smile slowly graced across her face. "You being called Untouchable interests me...I definitely wanted to try this if I ever met you." She latched her hands onto the Untouchable Queen's large bosom, giving them a squeeze.
She didn't...she wouldn't...Crap! The rest of the group just gaped as Satellizer uncomfortably stood there watching her breasts get fondled.
"What the?"Roxanne spluttered as she couldn't stop squeezing, a blush tainted across her face. "These are really flexible...even though they are this big, aren't they?! By any chance are they implants!?"
"Stop, Stop!" Chiffon roared as she gripped Roxanne by the front of her shirt and shook her vigorously. "What do you think you are doing!? Don't you understand the reason why she is called 'Untouchable'!? Untouchable!"
"Still, I was interested in touching them and seeing exactly how much they squished..." Roxanne quickly defended herself, totally unsure on what to do in the face of Chiffon's rage.
"Sa-Satellizer-san! She really is gentle!" Chiffon apologized for her friend quickly. "Roxanne is just stupid, so there was no ill intent...!"
"I understand..." She spoke after a few minutes.
"You do!?" Chiffon responded in shock, surely the girl had to feel some anger at being violated.
"A bit...I was just surprised." Feeling a bit self-conscious, she pulled Ryan to her and wrapped her arms around him, snuggling the man like a teddy bear.
"And this brat must be the infamous Male Pandora." Roxanne smiled, diverting her attention to Ryan.
"Yeah, Untouchable Queen over there isn't the only one that's famous, word spreads fast from one point to another don't you think? Nice to meet you."
She extended her hand for a handshake. A devilish smirk played on Ryan's lips and she reached out her own hand. Once their fingers brushed each other, a little spark ignited between them and it surprised Roxanne. She retracted her hand and shook it to relieve some of the numb feeling.
"Sorry, I love to greet my new friends a little shock." Eva smiled watching the little sparks zapping from her hand.
"So...so cute! Aren't you just the cutest?" Roxanne pulled Ryan towards her and squished him against her large bosom. It surprised the young Male Pandora so fast that he forgot to breathe, his arms flailed miserably and his face started to turn blue, despite the fact that blood was rushing to his head.
"Satellizer, Ryan so good to see you again." Cathy said as she ran over to us.
"Hey Cathy been awhile how are you?" I asked.
"Good and thank you again for everything you did." Cathy said as she bowed to me.
"No need to bow to me I'm just a guardian hybrid that's all." I said with a smile as Roxanne walked over and touched my butt.
"Your butt feel so soft like clouds and your body is rock hard maybe later we can get to have sex." Roxanne said with a wink.
"I keep that in mind beautiful." I said with a tease when all of a sudden Cathy's breast was grabbed from behind by a girl with blue hair.
"But honestly I...speaking of this project, how come I'm stuck in it? Fame is nice, but turning an ordinary person into a Pandora...is it possible? Even if it's a temporary replacement, enhancing people...is human experimentation legal right now? Dr. Aoi was opposed to it until the end too. Plus there is the rumor that, that project lacked morals too. Well, before the official announcement they informally got a sponsor, I've heard that they've considerably improved their facilities." Roxanne shrugged her shoulders. "So, now after looking it over...it seems it's nothing but some disinformation." She looked behind her towards a table surrounded by a mysterious group. Everyone could feel tension rising quickly so they were on their guard immediately. There was one that caught Eva's eye and it seemed as though she was the ringleader. With long white hair with one bang colored crimson, she didn't pay any attention to what was happening around her but she opened her eyes and locked on to her. The two of them silently stared at one another, brown orbs against burgundy.
"Hey Eva, did you hear what I just said- De Arimasu?" Rana poked her partner's cheek with a finger. "Why are you staring? It's getting creepy."
"Huh? Oh sorry." She replied sheepishly before looking back at the table but the woman had vanished along with her group.
After the party...
"Uwaa~" Rana squealed as she looked around the room. "This is such an extravagant living quarters. I'm totally shocked...to think they'd have a nice room like this ready for all of us here..."
"I think this is quite rewarding. Ahhh!" Eva released a sigh as she crashed upon the bed. "This is so soft."
"I know right?" Rana slid in right beside her and wrapped an arm around her limiter. "I fell like I'm in heaven! Even the pillows are fluffy!"
"That looks cosy. Come Ryan, we'll take the bed over there." Satellizer gripped Kazuya and led him to the vacant bed.
"Oh no you don't-De Arimasu!" Rana quickly propped herself on her elbow to scowl. "Go cuddle with Kazuya in the room next door. Unless of course..." A slick smile appeared and she snickered. "you wanna trade partners?"
"I forbid anyone near my Ryan!" Satellizer shot back, pulling the boy into her arms. "I will defend him from your little grubby hands!"
"Who you callin' grubby hands?!"
"Okay. This arrangement should do fine right?" Ryan said as Eva nodded her head in agreement. They got out of their partners' grasp and decided to head out. "You two can spend some more quality time together. Eva and I will use the room next door so holler if you need us."
"And before we leave..." Eva and Ryan shared a knowing look and pulled their respected partners into a hug. "A friendly hug. Bye now!" The two of them quickly bolted out the door and disappeared, closing the door behind them.
"Well they sure know how to run fast. You must have scared them off with that angry face." Rana teased.
"It must have been your stench. When was the last time you bathed?" Satellizer shot back with an amused smile on her face.
"Umm...sorry for interrupting, but...can we come in?" A voice spoke, interrupting their little squabble. The door opened up to reveal their visitors.
"Cassie Lockheart?" Satellizer said once she realized who it was.
"Hey, long time no see Satellizer El Bridget." Cassie replied cheerily. "This is my limiter, Kyouichi. He said he wanted to meet you no matter what..." She introduced the boy as they sat around the table.
"I am Minase Kyouichi!" Kyouichi stood up abruptly and bowed. "I am truly thankful for your assistance in saving Lockheart-sempai, Satellizer El Bridget-san! Lockheart-sempai is irreplaceable to me! And you saved her life! If you wish, I, Minase Kyouichi, am prepared to offer my life to you!"
"Eh...!? I-I...didn't really...Y-you don't have to go that far..." Satellizer said, unsure on how to respond.
"Oh? Kyouichi is it really alright to offer your life to a woman other than me..." Cassie spoke in a small voice.
"N-No! I..! You'll always be number one, Sempai!"
" It was just a joke! Don't get so serious all the time~" Cassie used her hand to cover a chuckle, a blush on her face.
"Eh? Jeez Sempai, you tease me so much lately..." Kyouichi laughed lightly, a blush on his face.
"They're...totally showing off right now, aren't they?" Rana whispered, a bit annoyed at the romantic scene in front of her. Satellizer just watched them calmly with a smile on her face.
"So, why are two Pandoras sharing a room? Where are your limiters?" Cassie looked at them.
"What's up Rana? You called?" Eva asked as she walked in, Ayato right behind her with a towel over his wet hair. "It was kind of inconvenient cause Kazuya was in the middle of a bath when you called. Sorry about that Kazuya, maybe I should have let you bathe first."
"It's okay. I was about done anyway. If I let you go last, you would've caught a cold." He smiled as he sat next to his partner. "Do you need anything Satella?" She shook her head but leaned over to rest her head against his shoulder. The scent of freshly squeezed flowers mixed with coconut wafted up her nose and it was pleasing her senses.
"Anyway, did you hear? We're having a mock battle tomorrow." Cassie said.
"Mock battle?" Everyone looked at her in confusion.
"Yeah. I guess there's some Pandora here who were normal people that became Pandora via the E project. Their formal name is Evolution Pandora. They said we're having a carnival tomorrow to gather data on how they compare to us."
" This project is based on...turning ordinary people into Pandora, right?" Satellizer had this disgusted look on her face.
"Why do you look so upset about it? This is a project to secure the future of humanity, isn't it? If we can help them create even better Pandora than we have now...I for one, will gladly cooperate!" Rana exclaimed happily.
"Must be nice to have such a positive personality." Satellizer commented as she brought her drink to her lips.
"You're just too negative all the time. It'll make you age faster, you know." Rana snickered as she knew she hit a sensitive spot because her comrade tightened her grip on the cup. They chatted away until it was time for them to get some rest. With Kazuya already snoring in the bed, Eva continued to stare up at the ceiling, lost in her thoughts. She felt as though something was wrong but she couldn't put her finger on it. Deciding to give it a rest, she allowed sleep to consume her.
The next morning...
Every single Pandora and their limiters assembled at this dome-shaped arena hyped up to see the mock battles. Chatter and excitement filled the air, even Scarlet Ohara watched them filter in from her seat. The operators were busy typing away at their monitors, getting the machines ready to take data.
"Wow...I'm surprised." Chiffon whistled as she looked at the battle arena below. "The Evolution Pandora look like they've come a long way. I'm so excited! I wonder how strong they are!" She giggled as if she couldn't contain herself.
As the match began Rattle used acceleration but she was still was to slow she had to be faster as the Original pandora unequipped her weapons and punched her sending her flying as she hit the ground as she was panting as we had won the first match as the next two pandora steeped into the ring. It was another one of ours against a E-pandora name Jina Purpleton who like the other E-pandora did have a volt weapon and was using a wooden Bo-staff.
Once the match started the both of them use acceleration at the same time as they moved across the ring before Gina Jumped into the air with her staff bringing it down only for it break on contact with the Original pandora weapon on impact as it shattered into pieces before she received a hard knee to the chin as she went flying sideways hitting the floor as the pandora went to end it but stopped a inch from Jina's face as she was scared as the match was over.
"Third match Evolution pandora Amelia Evans vs Japans West Genetics Elizabeth Mably." The announcer said.
"Let see what you got." I said to myself as the bell sound for the match to begin as Amelia summon her volt weapon and Elizabeth didn't activate hers saying she wont need it against her as she dodged every single one of Amelia's attacks. As Amelia went for a swing with her weapon Elizabeth simple caught it with her hand as this surprised everyone as I just smirked thinking to myself that attack was sloppy and easy to avoid as Amelia jumped back and use acceleration to run around Elizabeth as she just stood there watching before she dodged an attack and appeared behind Amelia and slapped her so hard she went flying as she rolled across the ring. Amelia staggered to her feet as I saw her body was at her limit if she tried to use another double acceleration her body won't be able to handle it.
"I request this match to be called off. The heath and safety of my opponent is in danger and she can't take it any more." Elizabeth said.
"Good choice Elizabeth." I said as I see Scarlett Ohara walk forward as she said to let the match continue saying that they haven't collected all the data yet and fight until she is incapacitated as those were the rules of the match. Those words didn't sit right with me as I let out a little growl as Amelia agreed to to keep fighting to give her all one- hundred percent. The fight resume as Elizabeth used tempest and delivered a knee to Amelia's stomach before she delivered several blows to the face as Amelia hit the ground as Elizabeth was about to walk away Amelia stood up surprising me and Elizabeth even though she had suffered a concussion. Just as Elizabeth was about to attack the bell rang for the match to be over as I look over to see Amelia standing but not moving she was unconscious as the other E-pandora rushed over to her and laid her on the floor worried about her.
"Damn she really gave it her all." Roxanna said as I had to agree but at a cost. Thinking to myself why would she risk so much for a test? So many questions ran through my mind as I left the stands. Later I was walking past the locker rooms as I overheard Rattle and Gina talking as i heard everything as Rattle became a E-pandora to escape hunger, thus leading her to eat more than normal and as for Gina she became a E-pandora after her parents sold her which just pissed me off. I walked in after knocking of course as the girls turned to face me
"It's you Mosashi was it?" Rattle asked as I nodded my head
"You ladies did your best out there I watched you guys fight." I said as I walked over to them and healed their wounds.
"With more training you will be the best. You and the other E-pandora and the original are two sides of the same coin they be a resemblance but we don't face the same direction keep homing your skills and and you be fine." I said as the girls felt a little better about themselves.
"Thank you Mosashi." Rattle as she walked over to me and shook my hand as I shook hers and was about to leave.
"Wait Mosashi." Amelia said as I turned around.
"Yes ?" I asked.
"Once I'm fully healed I want to test your skills against mine." Amelia said as I smiled
"So do I." Rattle said
"Count me in to." Jina said as I smiled at them.
"I'm looking forwards to it." I said as I walked out when I look over I see Satallizer standing there.
"You really are kind to everyone Mosashi." Mosashi said.
"I know if I can help other improve themselves then that my only reward." I said as Satallizer grabbed my arm as we walked down the hall back to our room not knowing someone was watching us.
(Few months Later)
3rd person pov
Meanwhile in the command center Marcus Spencer was watching the whole think unfold before the door to the room opened and walked in Aoi Gego who was there to inspect the place under the behalf of the L. Bridget family. He then removes Spencer from commanding duties and orders all Pandora's and Limiters to mobilize against Amelia's Nova form which was heading to a photon generator. Once deployed all the pandora in the area started to lose their morale as the Stigmata synchronization emits mental disruption. This effects Satellizer the most as she recalls her saddest memories such as the death of her mother to which she intends to give in to the power of Amelia's Nova.
"Are you gonna let some bad memories stop you Satallizer?" Ryan asked in her mind.
"I can't the memory is to much." Satallizer replied.
"After all we been through that's you response? Listen Satallizer don't let the fear and saddest get to you your friends are here to help you but most of all I'm here for you I love you Satallizer." Ryan said making Satallizer come out of her mindset.
"Welcome back my dear." Ryan said with a smile.
"Thank you Ryan." Satallizer said as the both of them watched as the Amelia Nova moved closer to the generator.
"If she takes out that generator we can kiss out butts goodbye." Charles said.
"I won't let that happen." Ryan said as he told the girls to stay back while he tries to save a friend and from the Nova.
Ryan Pov
After bringing Satallizer out of her flunk I ran towards the Nova telling myself I have to save her. I managed to get ahead of her and took a deep breath before I summoned my strength and transformed into my giant fox form making a loud roar.
"Okay lets do this." I said as I charged at the nova as the Nova shot it arms at me but I jumped over them and slashed at it's body scratching but a little. I came around for another pass landing blow after blow after blow but every time I did it just healed itself. I attacked one more time but this time I was hit by it's arms as I crashed into the ground with some of the buildings falling on top of me.
" Ryan!" I heard Elizabeth said as I freed myself from the rubble and looked down at her.
"Are you okay?" Rana asked.
"Yeah I'm good just been awhile since I been in this form that's all." I replied as I turned to the Nova get closer to the generator which was not good. Time seemed to have stopped as I could hear the screams of Amelia inside the Nova in pain I still had one more trick up my sleeve but it was gonna be tricky for if I did this wrong I could die.
"Everyone there is one more thing I want to try but just to let you know that if I don't make it I want to say I love you all." I said as the girls looked at me confused.
"What do you mean by that?" Charles asked as I told her and the other that I plan to free Ameria from the Nova by infusing my body with all the energy I have that way the Nova will be nothing more then a shell that can be destroyed but if I do that it might backfire considering I haven't use that skill.
"No you can't it's to dangerous." Satallizer said crying telling me not to do it.
"Have you forgotten I'm the leading man besides I'm guarding fox or have you forgotten about that?" I asked playfully before running after the Nova who was closing in on the generator/ reactor.
"Hey Nova bitch?!" I said grabbing it's attention as it face me.
"Yeah lets settles this once and for all." I said as I charged up all my energy into my body and charged at the Nova while it was swinging it arms in all directions but I dodged each one before I pinned the Nova to the ground as I placed a barrier around myself and the Nova before I transferred my mind into the Nova fighting my way through the mind of the it until I see Amelia screaming in pain.
"Okay I got one shot at this." I said as I preformed the ritual to separate her from the Nova.
"H...h...help me." I could hear Amelia say as she was in pain.
"Don't worry I got you." I said increasing the amount of energy which was putting a toll on my mind.
"Come on...Come On damn it." I said struggle to free Amelia until I got and pulled her out.
"Got you." I said as I used some magic to teleport her out of the Nova and into safety. The barrier was fading as the Nova exposed it core and was ready to fire. I summoned up the last of my energy into my mouth and at point bank range fire right when the Nova fired its attack.
Satallizer Pov
I watched as the body of Amelia landed on the ground as we rushed over to her. She was okay until I looked up to see Ryan charged up what he called a tail beast bomb right when the Nova was about to attack before the both of them where engulfed in the giant blast.
"RYAN!" I screamed at the top of my lungs before breaking down crying.
"He did it he saved us but at the cost of his own life." Charles said
"He can't be dead he's to strong to die." Rana said as she to began to cry.
"Hey look there." Elizabeth said as I wiped my tears as I see a figure walking through the smoke slowly. The other pandora ready their weapons until the figure emerged from the smoke making my and everyone's eyes widen to see Ryan staggering towards us badly burnt.
His body looked like it's been through the grinder several times before he collapse in the snow. I rushed over to him and flipped him over and placed his head on my knees while I looked down at him crying again before I felt a soft but warm hand on my cheek.
"Hey why the tears? They ruin that beautiful face of yours." Ryan said weakly as I cried more holding his hand to my cheek while the other walked up to us.
"You idiot why did you go and had to do such a reckless thing like that? You idiot." I said still crying a little.
"Because like I said I'm the leading man." Ryan replied replied before I smiled and kissed him on the lips.
"I love you." I said
"I know." Ryan replied as he passed out in my arms.
3rd person pov
A few weeks have gone by after the incident at Alaska base and everyone was at West Genetics. Mosashi was in in his room still recovering from his wounds with the girls from West Genetics and the E-pandora trying to nurse him back to full strength despite his please to let him be but the girls didn't want to for they where deep in love with him.
"Open up Ryan." Elizabeth said feeding him some food.
"No way it's my turn to feed him." Charles said
"No it's mine." Chiffon said right before there was a knock on the door before it opened and walked in Amelia, Roxanne and Julia walked in.
"Amelia what are you doing here?" Satallizer asked.
"I came to thank you for all your help in exposing the Mark 4 and saving me from the Nova." Amelia replied as she walked over to the bed and did something that surprised all the girls as she kissed Ryan on the lips before she was pulled away by Rana.
"Just what do you think you are doing kissing Ryan like that I haven't kissed him yet?" Rana asked.
"Well you snooze you lose." Roxanne said as she to kissedRyan on the lips followed but the rest of the girls. After the quick make out session Mosashi looked at all the girls in the room.
"Ladies I wan't to thank you for everything you done for me over the months even through I may be the guardian Hybrid and all I still want to say thanks." Mosashi said with a smile.
"No we should be thanking you Ryan you did so much for us for people you didn't know as well." Charles said in which all the girls nodded in agreement.
"That remines me what happened to Marks Spencer?" Ryan asked.
"Oh he's locked up for a long time. They searched his computers and found a lot of information to put him away for life." Elizabeth said.
(Few Days Later)
Everyone goes back to genetics and everything went back to normal.
