Rain...
"Wait.. don't go.." he aske softly as she was about to turn her back on him.
"Give me a reason not to.." She replied calmly, she just stared at his bright blue eyes, and when he didn't say anything she just smiled and turned around.
"Because I love you.." he said as he reached for her arm, "Don't you...?"
The question felt as if her heart was stabbed by a sword, or it was ripped apart, she just swallowed her tears. Shoving his hand away, she turned around looking at him calmly though deep inside she was shaking and in pain. "I'd be lying if i told you i dont..." she whispered.
"Then why are we doing this? We can still be together.." he insisted as he tried to touch her face but she looked away, So he just closed his fist as if he was catching air in his fist.
"Because I do not trust you..." she sighed and wiped the tear that fell from her eye, she just stared at the puddle of rain by the road then looked at him again, "Sooner or later... i'd fall out of love."
"But-"
"I loved you too much, that i became blind with everything... I didn't even believe Miranda... You cheated on me.." As she said that tears started to flow down her eyes, then she imediately wiped it and she gave him a smile. "I loved you and now...i'm letting you go.."
She looked at him for a second before she turned her back on him and started to walk away. She didn't even bother to open her umbrella, the cold rais started to soak her, as if the rain was her only comfort. She just hugged herself. That moment she felt as if she was happy because she can love herself more, she isn't really giving up on love, or telling herself that she will not love again, but she is just giving herself sometime to heal and to learn to love herself more.
For now, all she had to feel was the cold rain on her body giving her comfort.
