"Seriously, Eddie." I giggled, pushing him playfully off of me. "You really need to focus! Your test is Wednesday."

Eddie frowned, giving me big brown puppy dog eyes. "That's not fair. You can't sit here all cute like that and expect me to keep my attention on school."

I playfully struck him with the textbook. "I can and I do, so focus."

Eddie smirked, "I can change your mind."

I laughed. "I'll leave."

Eddie collapsed his full body weight on top of me. "You're not going anywhere without a fight, so get that straight."

I sighed, wrapping my arms around him and playing with his hair. "I really don't know why you have to make everything so difficult."

"I'm bored," Eddie's voice was muffled by my chest.

"Yes, that's true," I reminded him. "But you'll be even more bored if you have to do this again next year."

Eddie groaned loudly, sitting back up and scooting beside me, taking my notebook. "I fucking hate when you make me do things."

Eddie flipped through the pages and showed me one, "What's this?"

I shrugged, "I got bored so I just started doodling. Why?"

Eddie held up a single finger, signaling for me to hold on. He stood up and walked across the room, grabbing a large box from his closet. Eddie opened it and started setting up a tattoo gun.

"Eddie, what the hell are you doing?"

Eddie grinned, "You gave me an idea, sweetheart."

"Homework needs to be your idea."

Eddie put his finger to his lip. "Shhh! We can afford a minor distraction." He handed the gun over to me.

"What's this?" I asked, confused.

"Don't be dense, Wyatt. It's a tattoo gun."

"That's for stating the obvious, Eddie." I rolled my eyes. "What the fuck do you expect me to do with it?"

Eddie beamed at me, plopping down on the bed and extending his arm. "Doodle," he said simply.

"You have absolutely lost your goddamn mind!" I raised my voice. "I'm not tattooing you."

"How about if I promise to spend the rest of the night doing my homework?" Eddie asked, adding when I didn't look convinced. "Without complaint."

I narrowed my eyes at him, doubtful. "I don't know if I believe you."

"Would I ever lie?" Eddie asked.

I definitely gave him a look for that statement.

"I mean to you?" Eddie corrected himself, clearly seeing my point.

We stared at each other for a moment, neither one backing down and neither one breaking eye contact. I knew I would be here all night if I kept this up. If Eddie was one thing above all else, it was stubborn.

I rolled my eyes with a heavy sigh. "Whatever." I grabbed the gun from his hand and Eddie gave me a victorious smile. "What do you want?"

Eddie pointed to the page he found in my notebook. "The bats. Duh."

"If I fuck it up, I don't want any complaints." I muttered, picking a spot on his arm.

"Oh I won't complain," Eddie teased, "I'll just make sure to make you pay for it."

I smirked wickedly, "In that case…whoops." I jerked the gun playfully. Eddie didn't fall for it.

"Can you be serious for two minutes."

"That's rich coming from you."

Eddie shook his head. "Always so difficult, I swear."

Eddie talked away happily about his D&D campaign went this afternoon, and even though I had never played the game myself, went on and on about the rules and basics of the game. Eddie was fully convinced that he would teach me to play.

After a while I was finally done. "There, are you happy?"

Eddie stood up, admiring the work in the mirror, he turned to me with a wide grin and pulled me in for a kiss. "Very."

I sat there, looking at him for a moment. Eddie was a terrible influence on me. I pursed my lips in a quick decision.

"What's up?" Eddie asked, suddenly worried.

I looked into his eyes and gave a little smile. "My turn?"

Eddie looked surprised for a moment, a smile spreading slowly across his face. "Are you serious right now?"

"Why the hell not, right?" I asked, "But you better do it before I chicken out."

"Are we really doing matching tattoos?" Eddie asked, clearly excited and flattered.

"I've always wanted one," I shrugged. "Besides, who better to do it for me."

"You're fucking crazy sometimes." Eddie teased, grabbing my arm from me.

"Does that scare you?" I asked.

"You couldn't scare me, Wyatt." Eddie shook his head. "Does this hurt?"

I shook my head, "Not too bad."

Eddie was in the zone for a while and didn't speak. His eyes focused intently on my arms. I was suddenly self conscious when I realized what he was looking at. Eddie frowned. "What are these?"

I was quiet. I wasn't sure whether to play dumb or tell him the truth.

As if he read my mind, he spoke softly. "Tell me the truth."

I looked away shamefully. "I'm sorry…"

Eddie looked up at me, a tinge of sadness in his eyes. "Don't be sorry, Wyatt. You don't have anything to be sorry for."

It was quiet for a moment.

"When was the last time?" Eddie finally asked.

I was almost afraid to answer, but I knew he wasn't going to let me make an excuse to get out of this conversation. When it came to something serious, Eddie didn't let things go. "Last week." My voice was quiet.

Eddie's voice was heavy with sadness. "Because of me?"

"No." I denied immediately. "Not because of you, Eddie. Don't do that to yourself."

"You shouldn't do this to yourself." Eddie scolded.

"I'm a mess sometimes, Eddie." I said "And I get overwhelmed, and sometimes it's too much. Its stupid, I don't know how to explain it."

Eddie stopped me. "I didn't mean to hurt you, Wyatt."

"You didn't." I lied

Eddie gave me a look, seeing right through it. "You don't have to lie to make me feel better. I don't want you to ever lie to me, and especially not to avoid hurting my feelings."

Eddie wiped the blood and excess ink off my arm, changing the subject. "All done, and you took it like a champ." He kissed my forehead and started cleaning up.

"I actually have a tattoo." I grinned.

Eddie chuckled. "Now you can call yourself a badass."

After everything was put up, Eddie crawled into bed next to me, grabbing the textbook back off the bed and opening to the page we had left off.

I looked at him, surprised.

"What?" Eddie asked. "I promised you, didn't I?" He pulled me close and rested my head against his bare chest where I fell asleep peacefully.
