"Let's run by this again," Nezu ordered. "Who are you?"

Vin grunts and swings into a large hoop that hangs from the training room's ceiling. She does a couple small flips before landing in a crouch. "My name is Vin Venture. I was born and raised in a small English monastery."

"Why did you come to Japan?"

"I wanted to become a pro-hero. My dream is to make a world where everyone can enjoy nature without worrying about villains destroying it."

Nezu raises a small eyebrow, "that's a good goal."

Vin nods, she hasn't smiled since she came to this world. "Whatever works. What's next?" Vin walks back over to the punching bag.

"What's your Quirk?" Nezu asks, taking a sip from his mug as he looks down at her (forged) transcripts.

Vin gives a few quick jabs to the bag. "Allomancy. I can use powers from metals if I swallow them."

Nezu nods, still amazed that such incredible power could have come from another world. "And why did you enroll at UA?"

"Why not?"

"Good reason," Nexu chuckles. He places down his papers and mug, "well, I think that's just about everything."

Doing one last kick, Vin knocks down the punching bag. She picks up a towel and wipes her face. "Fine. When's the preliminary exam?

"Tomorrow. Don't worry. We will be sure to get you up in time," Nezu laughs. "It's not like you have many places to be."

Vin grunts and sits down, pulling off the tape around her hands.

Nezu walks up to the young Mistborn and places a paw on her shoulder. "Don't be down, I'm sure you will find this world as enjoyable as the last."

Vin smacks Nezu's paw off. "The Final Empire wasn't enjoyable."

"I… see," Nezu sighs. He stands up and walks to the large gym doors. "Anyway, you have a guest."

"A guest?" Vin frowns. Who would be visiting me here?

Nezu smiles and opens the door, revealing a young boy with green hair.

"Come in, come in. She won't bite," Nezu states, grabbing the boy by the hand and pulls him forward.

"Um, hello? My name is Izuku Midoriya," Midoriya states, bringing his hand out to shake.

Vin studies the boy, then nods.

Midoriya drops his hand, "I was the one who found you. I'm sorry I couldn't help you sooner. I was worried that you were a pro-hero and-"

Does everyone talk this much on this planet? Vin wonders. She stands up and gives a small bow to Midoriya.

"Thank you for saving me. I am in your debt."

Midoriya blushes and shakes his head. "No, no no! I only wanted to help! You see, I want to be a pro hero just like All Might."

"Who?"

"You don't know who All Might is?" Midoriya gasps. "He's Japan's number one hero! He's one of the most powerful people in the world!"

In this world, maybe, Vin thought. "I was raised in an English monastery, so I'm not completely aware of how the world is yet."

Midoriya frowns, "oh, okay."

Nezu walks up and pats him on the leg. "Maybe you can take Vin out for a quick stroll. She's been cooped up for so long here that I think she's starting to forget what the sky looks like."

Like I could ever forget that the sky is blue. Vin still couldn't believe that. When she first was released from her 'cell', she almost fainted when the yellow sun rose on a blue sky.

"Sure!" Midoriya smiles.

Vin sighs. "Fine." Vin walks to the locker room and quickly gets changed.

"W-w-where would you like to go first?" Midoriya asks when they exit the main gate of UA Academy.

Vin shrugs.

Midoriya sighs. "Um, well… There's this new film coming out soon. Want to go see it?" Shoot! Midoriya realized, is this a date? I didn't sign up for this!

Vin stops walking and stares at him. "Film?"

"I mean, we don't have to, it was just a thought and I didn't realize that it was an implication of-"

Vin shakes her head, "what is a film?"

Midoriya cocks his head to the side. "A movie? Like a long T.V show."

"Movie? Teevee?"

Midoriya studies Vin, looking for a sign that she was joking. Did she not have a TV where she came from? "Well, it's like if you recorded something, and played it back later."

Vin raises her eyebrow, "what?"

"Have you… never seen one before?"

Shaking her head, she responds with a 'no'.

Midoriya gives a slight gasp. "Well, do you want to watch one?"

She shrugs and Midoriya sighs. Does she care about anything?

From there, Midoriya tried his best to show Vin some of the interesting things about Japan. She didn't seem to know about much of anything about modern-day technological advancements and was amazed even by the most mundane things.

"What is this called?"

"A c-c-c-cheeseburger," Midoriya stuttered. "It's beef, cheese, and two slices of bread. But you could add pickles and ketchup."

Vin studies the strange food in front of her. "Cheese...Borger." She takes a small bite out of it and something awakens inside of her. It's… good! Meat on her world was a rarity, even for the Lord Ruler.

It took only a few seconds for Vin to inhale the entire meal. The meat and bread, the strange vegetable slices (fries Midoriya called them), and even the cool drink from the paper-like goblet.

She slurps on her straw and opens the lid when her cup is empty. Vin looks up at Midoriya and back at her empty chalice.

"Do you want more Grape Nehi?" He asks, taking another bite from his fries.

Vin nods slowly. Midoriya points to a strange kiosque, "you can re-re-refill it over there."

She stands and walks over to where the machine is. She studies the words and images on it and tries to remember which her original drink came from. But before she could contemplate which of the dozens of choices she should take, a loud explosion rang clear, audible even without burning tin. Normally she would be burning tin to heighten her senses, but bright sunlight and enhanced vision didn't mix well.

Vin immediately drops into a crouch. However, no one else seems to be reacting. She quickly ran back to her guide and saw him eagerly packing his backpack.

"What was that?" She exclaimed.

"It's probably a fight!" He eagerly explained. "Oh, I hope it's someone new!"

Someone new? Vin couldn't believe what she was hearing. There was a fight going on, most likely between people who had powers, and this boy wanted to go watch!?

More so, the other people in the restaurant were barely reacting. Some flinch at the initial explosion, but nothing much else.

Are attacks this commonplace? Vin remembers her life as an urchin and how little she would react to screams and yells in the night when someone was being attacked. Complacency, Vin realized.

Midoriya was already halfway out the door when Vin chased after him. With her tin-enhanced ears, she could easily tell which direction the attack was taking place, but Midoriya seemed to find the area without help.

When they rounded the corner, Vin couldn't believe what she was seeing. Standing in front of a building was a creature with a bird's head, a human body, and wings on it's back.

"Wow, it's Horusavior! He's a pro-hero from Egypt that took part in an exchange program with one of Japan's heroes."

Vin frowns. Egypt? Where's that? Before she could ask, the building in front of 'Horusavior' had its door ripped off from the inside. Out steps a large man in… pigtails and a dress?

True enough, a huge muscular man had his hair up in pigtails and was wearing a bright-pink dress. Over the person's shoulder was a large bag, stuffed to the brim.

"Tra-la-la!" The man called out in a high falsetto voice. "I finally got the jewelry I need for my date tonight!"

"Stop, villain!" Horusavior squawked. "Drop the jewelry and stand down."

"But then I'll miss my date," the strange man(woman?) yelled. She began spinning quickly, pivoting on her heels. As she spins, she starts forming a small cyclone around her legs, and to Vin's surprise, let's the robber float a few feet off the ground.

"What the-?"

"His, I mean her, quirk must be some kind of wind control. Maybe it allows her to control the wind pressure around her lower half," Midoriya mumbles to himself. Vin easily heard this, even without burning tin to heighten her senses. .

The robber started floating higher and then began zooming towards the crowd. Horusavior spreads his wings and dove in front of the robber.

"Shu Swipe!" The pro-hero called out, his wings slicing at the robber. This attack missed as she quickly dodged to the side.

"Shu Swipe?" Vin asked, turning to Midoriya.

"It's probably his Super Move," he replies. He turns to Vin and notices the confusion on her face. "A super move is a special technique that is performed when a hero or villain uses their Quirk to turn the tide of battle and make a big impact on the opponent."

Vin's frown deepens. That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Why would you vocalize what your attack is?

However, Vin quickly turned back to the 'battle', if that is what you would call it. The robber had circled back and swung the large pile of jewelry at Horusavior. It hit him on the shoulder, and he tumbled down.

"Take that!" The robber squeaked.

Vin sighed and picked up a piece of rock. She flared pewter and tossed it. It was an easy shot, for her. One she could have made in the darkness on Scadrial. In this daylight, with the blue skies, it was all-too-easy. The rock easily rocketed past the crowd and connected with the robber's skull. A small 'thunk' is heard, and the robber falls to the ground.

The crowd goes silent, confused by what just happened. Slowly, the pro-hero stands back up. He looks around and squawks, "Victory!" The onlookers cheered, but it was muted.

Vin looks back at Midoriya and watches him walk away slowly. Vin quickly follows and when she turns the corner, Midoriya is there shaking.

"How c-c-c-could you do that?" Midoriya stutters, his hands clenched.

"Do what?" Vin frowns, crossing her arms.

Midoriya's eyes shift left and right. "Y-y-y-you attacked that guy!"

Vin's eyebrow raises. "You said he was a villain."

"But that doesn't mean you can attack them! Do you have a pro-hero license!?"

"Pro… Hero… License? You don't help just to help?"

"No! It's a job to fight villains and you need a license for it. You can't just use your Quirk to hurt someone, even if they are a villain."

"That doesn't make sense. And what do you know of my quirk?" Vin asked suspiciously. He was the one that found me. How much does he really know?

Midoriya shakes his head, "at first I thought it was, like, mist manipulation. But you hit that villain with so much force and accuracy…"

Vin remembers what Nezu taught her. "Quirks come in three types. Energy manipulation in a 'human' form, transformation to access a power out of human form, and complete physical change.

"What could my quirk have to be in order to bypass these limits?" She asked the shaking boy in front of her.

"I-i-i-i don't know, b-b-b-but that shot was impossible to make without a Quirk," Midoriya responds. "If you're Quirkless, you're -"

"DEKU!" A voice calls out. Vin turns to the speaker, noticing Midoriya begins to shake and shiver. There stands another boy in casual clothes, he has short, spiky ash-blond hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows. His eyes are sharp and bright red in color.

The boy stomps over, his hands in his pockets, "oi! Deku! What the hell do you think you're doing out here?"

"Oh, hi, Kacchan… We were just, uh, watching the fight and then we, uh…"

"Midoriya was showing me around, and I got lost," Vin half-lied. "Who are you?"

The boy snorted and pointed a thumb at his chest. "I'm Katsuki Bakugo, the world's next number one hero!"

Vin raises an eyebrow, this… Bakugo. Did he want to be the number one hero? I've seen koloss make less heated introductions, Vin thought.

"W-w-what are you doing here, Kacchan?" Midoriya asks.

Bakugo holds up a palm. "I'm here to check out the competition. I heard bird-man was strong, but it turns out he's just as weak as you, Deku." Vin watches in amazement as small explosions pop in his hand.

"But Ho-Ho-Horusavior is-" Midoriya starts.

"Barely able to hold his own against a guy in a dress," Bakugo snarls. "At least they had Quirks, huh, Deku?"

Vin turns to Midoriya, whose face has turned dark, hidden in shadow.

"You're Quirkless?" Vin asks, where Midoriya responds with a slow and soft nod. Vin shrugged. "So?"

"So?!" Bakugo asks. "He's a worthless, useless, Quirkless, shrimp!"

"Some of the bravest men I have ever known didn't have powers," Vin critiques. "The bravest, most honorable, and selfless people I ever met."

Bakugo spits on the ground. "What happened to 'em? Sounds like they kicked the bucket."

Vin didn't understand the metaphor, but she got the message. She flared brass and soothed away the violent boy's emotions. Then she burned duralumin, boosting the allomantic power of her push on Bakugo's emotions.

Bakugo stiffened, his heart now empty of all feelings. There was no joy, no hate, not even fear. Just… Emptiness.

"Don't you ever," Vin glares at the boy, "ever talk about them like that. You're half the man Dox was, and you can't even compare to… to…" Vin sighs. "Elend," she whispers, then walks away.

Bakugo remained frozen as Vin walked past him, his eyes wide and watching as she stepped close to him. When she left, he felt the grip on him listen, and he fell to the ground gasping.

"What. The Hell. Was that!?" Bakugo growled, turning to Deku.

He shakes his head, waving his arms in front of his face. "I-I-I-I Don't know. I t-t-thought that she had heightened reflexes or s-s-s-something."

Bakugo snarls and turns back to where that weird girl went.

"W-w-where are you going?" Deku asks.

"I'm going to make that bitch kneel in front of me and apologize," Bakugo smirks. Before he could chase after her, he felt Deku grab his arm.

"You can't do that!" Deku cried, tears starting to fall down. "You'll get in trouble and she'll get in trouble and-"

"I don't care! That bitch is going to pay for what she just did." Bakugo grunts, trying to twist his arm out of Deku's grip. He flings his other arm backward and sparks his palm with a few small explosions.

Before his hand connects, a loud thud and a quick burst of wind makes him pause. He turns back to where Deku was holding his arm and now sees a towering figure protecting the Quirkless loser.

All Might's shadow cover's Bakugo.

"What are you doing here?!" Bakugo asks, completely shocked to see the number one hero.

All Might smiles. "I am here… to borrow young Midoriya!"

Bakugo's mouth gapes. "Deku?! What do you want with a Quirkless piece of shit like him?"

All Might's smile flickers. "I am afraid that does not concern you. It is between young Midoriya and I." All Might grabs Deku and places him on his back, making Deku wrap his arms around All Might's neck.

Bakugo looks up at the sniveling worm. How dare you look down on me?! As much as he wanted to scream 'die' and burn the Quirkless twerp, he knew he was no match for All Might. And Bakugo held no hate, only reverence for the hero.

All Might leaps into the sky, Deku attached to him like a parasite, leaving Bakugo behind. Bakugou screams and blasts his hands at one of the trash cans around him. The container ricochets off his explosion and into the wall with a loud thud.

"AAAAARGH!" Bakugo screams to no one except the night sky.

Vin bounds off after the large man who protected her guide. When she 'left', she dropped a small metal coin beneath her and flared steel. This pushed her weight against the coin, as well as the ground, and flung her into the sunset sky. As she pushed upward, she flipped backward and landed on the rooftop across the alleyway.

Falling on her back she sighs. Oh, Elend, she thinks, staring at the colored sky. You would have loved this world.

Vin relaxed for a moment, then jumped up worry as she felt a small tremor pass through her body. She quickly jumped up and rushed back to where she could get a better view of the source. Risking a headache, she squints and burns tin. With this, Vin can easily see a large man standing over Bakugo and in front of Midoriya.

Isn't that…All Might? Vin struggled to remember the strange names and faces to the pro heroes of this world. Sure enough, Vin watches as the number one hero protects Midoriya, then jumps off with him on his back.

Vin quickly drops another coin and bounds after them, remaining low and on rooftops, watching the large giant fly over the city.

By the time they had reached their destination, night had fallen and Vin had started burning tin continually. Without the harsh light of the sun, Vin was more willing to risk heightened senses in the night. With it, all of her senses were heightened. She could hear more, see better, feel everything, even smell more.

The large hero and his passenger landed on a beach that Vin could only describe as empty. For such a nearly clean beach, no one seemed to be enjoying its beauty. Granted, there was still a large pile of scrap, but it had been mainly concentrated into a tight circle.

"I'm so sorry All Might, I know I should have finished this, but Principle Nezu called me over and asked me to help and-"

All Might laughs. "You are fine, young Midoriya! I was on my way over to check your progress when I saw you and that boy arguing, and I thought I would interrupt." He pauses and looks around at the beach around him. "Oh myyy, oh myyyy GOODNESS!"

The giant hero pats Midoriya on the back, "you earned that break, young Midoriya! You've done an astonishing job, especially for a teenager!" All Might pulls out a small device from his pocket.

A phone, Vin recognizes, still amazed by this world's technology.

"This is you ten months ago," All Might stated. Even with her tin, Vin couldn't make out the image. "You did really, really good! We've only just reached the faintest mirage of the path that lies ahead… But you're a bona fide vessel now!"

Vin frowns. A vessel for what?

Midoriya looks down at his feet, "I feel like… I cheated somehow… I…" Vin can see the tears streaming down his face, reflecting the moonlight through them. "You went so far for me, All Might, and I feel… too blessed!"

Chuckling, All Might pats Midoriya on the back. "What are you saying? It was your own hard work." He pats him on the back. "We'll have to fix those leaky eyes of yours. Now, it's time for the award ceremony, Izuku Midoriya!"

Midoriya looks up at his hero, "yes, sir!"

Vin watched in confusion as All Might reached up to one of his hair tufts. Even with her enhanced senses, it was hard for Vin to make out the pro-hero plucking one of his hairs. Confused by this act, Vin tried burning bronze.

With bronze, Vin could sense other forms of Allomancy, as long as there wasn't a copper cloud hiding the pulses that comes from using anything with Investiture. When she first tested her Allomancy in this world, she found that bronze could sense this world's Quirks, especially those who needed to 'activate' their powers.

But, surprisingly, the single strand of hair All Might now held, pulsed with more Investiture Vin had felt in a long time. It was no Well of Ascension, but it felt stronger than any Mistborn or Quirk-user's pulse.

What is that? Vin wondered.

All Might holds up the strand, "this is something I was once told: 'Something that you receive because you're lucky and something that you are given because you are recognized are different in essence.'

"Take that to heart. This is power that you earned because of your own effort." All Might reaches his hand out, still holding the hair. With a straight face, he tells Midoriya, "eat this."

"Huh?" Midoriya asks.

"Huh?" Vin echoes softly into the sand. Why? What has Midoriya been working for? Why has the number one hero taken such a liking to him?

"Never trust anyone. Anyone can betray you," Reen's voice echoes in her mind. Her brother spent most of his time 'teaching' Vin important lessons. She still sometimes hears the faint whisper of his voice.

"It doesn't matter what it is as long as you take in my DNA," All Might clarifies.

"It's too different from what I imagined!" Deku exclaimed!

All Might grabbed Midoriya's hand and placed the hair on it. "I think it's time for you to go home, and get a good night's rest. The exams are tomorrow!" All Might started leading Midoriya out of the beach, and straight towards Vin.

Vin quickly rolled to the side, sinking into a sandy ditch. She waited until she could no longer hear their footsteps, but still the dull pulse of that strand of hair pulsed in her mind.

What was that? Vin wondered.

"You let her go off alone!?" Aizawa exclaimed.

Nezu takes a small sip out of his cup, "it was to my belief that she should go outside. Ms. Vin has been keeping herself sheltered in our halls for far too long. Every day she gets up, trains, eats and then returns to bed. That's no life of anyone, much less a girl enrolled in our school."

Aizawa grumbles. "She's a powerful magic-user from another world, an incredible flight risk, and possibly suicidal. What, out of those three things, made you think about sending her off with a twitchy kid like Midoriya?"

"And what do you know about Midoriya, exactly?" Nezu asks, setting down his cup.

"Not much," Aizawa crosses his arms. "Seems like an ordinary kid. It's strange that All Might took such a liking to him."

"All Might, or Toshinori Yagi?"

"Does it matter?"

Nezu smiles. "Of course it does. One is the symbol of peace, while the other struggles to make sure his light never burns away."

Sighing, Aizawa rubs his forehead. "I still think it was a bad idea to send Vin off without a hero to watch her."

"I think she would have noticed a tail," Nezu chuckles.

And why is that? Aizawa wonders. Why does this girl turn in fear at every bump? Why does she always expect the worst?

"Why does it seem like Ms. Vin has no faith in the light of others?" Nezu finishes.

Aizawa's eyes go wide for a moment. "How did you-?"

"You were mumbling," Nezu smiles. "But, I think that if we show Ms. Vin how much faith and trust we have for her, she might return some as well. In her own time."

"Fine," Aizawa sighs. He walks out of the office, leaving the principle to his lonesome.

"At least… I hope." Nezu whispers.

I'm sorry for the kind-of late upload. Another family problem and school is starting back up. I meant to upload this Wednesday morning, not at noon.

Anyways, we got to see Vin using her metals this time! I'm trying to explain what they do in case there are readers from the MHA side who don't know about Mistborn. I hope some of it picks your interests.

We also saw All Might passing the torch. I made it happen sooner than it actually happened (the night of instead of the morning before).

Yes, Vin now intercepts 'magics' as Investiture. During her time on Earth, she couldn't just use 'Allomancy' or the 'Allomantic pulses' to describe everything. In case you were not aware, 'Investiture' is the term used to describe magic. If a person has magic (Allomancy or a Quirk) they are Invested.

That should do it for my Realmatics class for today. Who knows, maybe I might go more in-depth with it later.

Also, check out my profile for my stories and their update times. As of now, my two stories will be uploaded bi-weekly. Meaning one will be this week, with the other is next week.

Bruno Zaigot: Thank you very much! I hope I can make her use them well in this metal-filled world.

xFel: Hahahha, I will try to be. Yes, I did. I think it's a really good point that has Vin knowledgeable, but not OP. Maybe I'll do a story about what happens back on Scadrial.

yohanl2001: Thank you very much. I know, that's why I am here, LOL.

Please, feel free to follow and comment on predictions, thoughts, etc. I am always looking for new ways to improve my craft. Tell your friends!
