Steven looked up from his phone when feeling a hand poke his shoulder. Or rather, he looked down since Krei-Techs newest and smallest intern was trying to get his attention.
"Mr. Krei wants to see you." Hiro deadpanned.

"Why the long face?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Krei's making me go back to get a muffin..."

Steven winced. "He usually doesn't do that." Maybe I shouldn't have given him that coffee tip. "Well good luck."

"Thank you." Baymax waved, the robot was by the exit.
"C'mon Baymax, maybe banana bread will shut him up." Hiro mumbled as he stomped off.

"He likes pumpkin!" Steven called as they left. Hiro just grumbled more.

Steven entered the office with a smile. "Hello boss."

Krei looked to have ended a call, he had a more puzzled grin. "I don't see how you'd get Hiro to stay at Krei-Tech, I prefer having Assistant doing these errands."

"Well Judy could use a break every now and then." Steven pointed out. "Hiro probably wouldn't mind his internship as long as he was paid. And maybe with whatever hobbies he does."

"Hobbies?" Krei raised an eyebrow. "Oh, I guess."

"Oh you know what Hiro's weird hobbies are?" Steven didn't expect that answer. "He always is out and about with his friends, I don't know what but it seems to be exciting." Not that he noticed, but he heard his siblings talk about their friends always busy with something, it wasn't any of his business, so Steven wasn't going to bother the robotics genius with questions.

"Yeah, something like that..."

"So that's two fries, two orders of fries, two large fries. Would you like fries with that? Yes, fries, fries, fries-AAAHHH!" Pickle juice vomit flew all over the poor truck driver's window as NBB bounced away, condiments spilling from his arms.

Gogo and Wasabi cringed at the sight. "He's acting weirder than normal, and he was already weird in the first place."

"His chip must be cracked." Gogo guessed. "Or his circuits got soaked. Either way, we gotta stop him."

"Right." They both leapt off the building and hopped on condiment covered cars, blocking the robot both ways.

"Noodle Burger Boy." Gogo addressed him, armed with disks. "You're coming with us."

"No can do!" He whirred. "I've got to go home!"

"Where is home?!" Wasabi demanded.

NBB stammered. "Home style… fries, fries, fries!" He blasted lasers at Gogo, who backflipped out of the way as he kept screaming fries. She skated to the side and tossed a disk, he just pushed himself up to avoid it. "Laser, laser, laser!"

Wasabi blocked the lasers with his plasma blades, one laser bounced off his blades and hit NBB's left leg, amputating it off his body. "Oopsie, workplace injury!"
He lowered his blades from his face and cringed. "Oh, that's just wrong."

NBB then chanted "Workplace injury!" as he picked up his leg and started using it as a weapon. Wasabi hid behind a car as a laser went his way. The robot then stared at the bottom of his shoes. "Order up! I-I-I have to go home." He stammered.

Gogo skated towards him, but she noticed she was skating on ketchup! NBB grabbed a mailbox and tossed it at her. "Delivery!"

She fell and braced for the metal to slam into her, but Wasabi leapt and sliced it in half, letters going everywhere. "Gross." She stared at the ketchup dribbling down her arms, it reminded her blood, which was more disgusting and sickening.

She and Wasabi turned to where NBB was, but found ketchup footsteps. "Wait..." She noted the logo that was on the shoes.

"Wait what?" Wasabi walked to her.

"'Home' is Krei-Tech." She explained. "It was where he was made."

"That's weird." Wasabi flinched. "But that means…"

"Hiro!" They both exclaimed. Their friend was in big trouble.

Hiro was in big trouble.

He felt like his back was about to give as he held a stupid giant mirror, he didn't even have time to answer the phone! If he had energy, he'd question what Gogo was calling for.

I'm gonna kill Sara's uncle for ditching me like this. He grumbled. Baymax was just playing with a drinking bird as Krei kept asking him questions.

"So which one do you think is better?" Krei questioned. "Smile one is more handsome, but smile two says, 'I came to play, and I don't follow the rules.'"

"They are 99.99 percent identical." Baymax told him.

The CEO just frowned at the robot. "You didn't answer my question. Let's try again."

At that, Hiro snapped. "Ohhh I can't do this anymore!"

"I'm sorry." Krei apologized. "You're too small to hold that mirror." He glanced at Baymax. "Robot! Robot, what are you doing? Come on, hold the mirror."

"No!" Hiro placed the mirror down, exhaustion spilling from his throat. "I mean, this internship. No more dry cleaning, no more coffee runs, and I have so many questions about the cow costume!"

Krei paused, it was at the boiling point he was supposed to push Hiro over. He just had to continue to act oblivious, and hope whatever magic Steven does would keep the teen genius as an intern. "So, what you're saying is… smile two."

Hiro pointed a finger. "Look, I am missing out on helping the team find-"
BAM!

He whipped his head around as the door was blown up from lasers. And a one-footed small robot hopped in, his red eyes dimming.

"H-h-hello!" NBB glitched. "Did somebody order a Noodle Burger?!"

"No, I ordered a cappuccino." Krei hid behind Baymax.

"But he meant macchiato." The robot pointed out.

Hiro groaned. "I am going to kill Steven for this."

Elsewhere, Steven felt a shiver go up his spine.
"I feel like I just dodged a bullet..."

"Bienvenido a la Fry Works." The first thing Hiro saw when he woke up was NBB showing a giant Noodle Burger factory. "Where the magic happens!"
What had just happened-

Oh right. NBB showed up, demanded for Hiro to fix him since the robot was clearly malfunctioning, and knocked them all out when Krei complained. He got up and ran to the windows as the factory was lit up, searching for a trace of the large white robot.

"Baymax, are you okay?!" He called out.

"I cannot move." The robot was located by where the fries were probably made. "But I am safe and-and-and surrounded by potatoes." Said vegetable fell on his head.

"Fry the-" Electricity crackled around the small robot. "Fry the bun!" Hiro tuned out NBB narrating the Noodle Burger process, but he did pay attention when he saw Krei being shoved onto the conveyor belt and noodles fell on him.

"Ack! This cannot be sanitary." Krei grumbled.

Hiro yelped and ran for the door. "Nope!" NBB laser eyed the locks so he was stuck in, and as he tried shutting down the conveyor belt the controls were laser eyed too. "And… nope. You're not going anywhere hee-hee."

"No, no, no!" Hiro stared at the fryer. "This is crazy!"

"No it's not." The robot giggled.

"Noodle Burger Boy, let Krei go, and let's just talk about this."

"After you fix my burger, I'll let that burger go!" NBB opened up his head, showing his fried circuits that still had kelp inside.

Hiro turned to see Krei getting covered with soy sauce and realized he had no chance. "Okay, okay. Let me take a look." He walked over and went to work. "Salt water corroded your logic circuits." Hiro tossed kelp out of NBB's "brain."

"Ring bell! Burger, burger! Really swell, yeah! Marry noodles..." Hiro jumped back as NBB twirled his head around. "Secret sauce!"

"I do not understand this song." Baymax blinked.

For the rest of Big Hero 6, they had arrived at Krei-Tech after following a one-footed trail of ketchup footprints.

Fred ran to the doors. "Come on…" He struggled to open them.

Gogo skated towards the door but she went right through a ketchup puddle, Honey Lemon and Wasabi had to grab her arms to prevent her from falling into the puddle. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, what did we learn?" The latter chided her.

She just rolled her eyes. "We just don't want you to get hurt." Honey Lemon added. "Baymax isn't here so we can't tell if any of us are severely injured or not, I don't want to see you suffering from pain."

Gogo slightly blushed. "T-thanks Honey Lemon."

"Guys!" Fred stopped grabbing the door. "We really should stop using our names when we're in costume." He sassed them.

"Says the guy who lifted his hood up to make a quip every five seconds." Wasabi sassed back.
"The betrayal!"

"Hey." Gogo pointed to two footprints exiting the building. "Looks like he's on two legs again."

"You think Krei fixed him?" Fred guessed.

Wasabi shook his head. "No way, he's management."

"Maybe it was Steven." Honey Lemon pointed out. "He told us he was part of the team that built Noodle Burger Boy."

"Or Krei's intern..." Gogo told her. "Noodle Burger Boy wouldn't kidnap his 'big sis Mika's' uncle." She shuddered. "I cannot believe I said that."
"Oh no, Hiro's in trouble then!" The chemist exclaimed.

"Um guys." Fred pointed to the looming shadow over them. "I think we might be in trouble as well."

Looming over them was a large and mechanical figure, purple trimmed over the body with meshes of green and blue. At the neck encased in a glass dome was a pair of sharp blue eyes sneering at them.

"You think?" Trina flashed a malicious grin. "I think."

The group froze for a moment. Of course it was logical that Trina survived since NBB survived too and he was a robot (they were all shocked to hear that the former was one). But the last time they saw her well, she was manipulating Hiro and it hadn't been a pretty sight.

Gogo reacted first. "We don't have time for this." She swung a disk but Trina reflected, her arm hitting Wasabi as he tried to leap and slash. Honey Lemon put up a chem wall as a foot went for her but the wall broke upon impact and she fell to the pavement. Gogo tried another attempt but Trina slammed her fist to the ground, the shockwave toppling her over.

Fred was the next victim as he leapt for an attack but was gripped between her metallic claws. "Uh, quick question, Trina. Did you change your hair?" He pointed to her long mohawk.

"Got in the way."

Fred tapped a claw. "You know it would be unique if Mikan didn't do the same thing, it still looks cool though."

Trina growled and tossed him to the side and he hit the wall. She smiled with delight seeing the superheroes lying on the ground in pain. "Later!" She started running in the directions NBB's ketchup footprints were leaving Krei-Tech.

"Ow..." The comic fan groaned.

"Ah, you said it." Wasabi winced in pain.
"Me too."

"Yeah." Honey Lemon and Gogo nodded.
"It's a classic Phase 2 upgr-"

"ENOUGH ABOUT PHASE 2!" They all chorused and clutched their injured sides.

"I never should have built you, I'm more of a Yaki Taco guy anyway-aaaah they're seasoning me!"

"Hold on Mr. Krei!" Hiro was fixing a green wire. "I'm almost done!" Albeit he was a little sloppy considering he was working on the clock, but NBB could function normal er...at least not glitching. He closed the head.

"Aw, thanks, Mister!" The robot leapt and spun around. "I feel really swell!"

"I'm not done yet." Hiro pointed out. "I-I just have to reboot you and the fixes will be permanent."

"Don't mess up my order mister, or your friend will be crispy-style!" NBB pointed to the conveyor belt as Krei got seasoned again. He did notice the CEO trying to escape, guess it didn't work out so well.

Krei kept sneezing as spices were sprinkled on him. "Help, intern!"
"This is the last step, I promise!"

"Whatever it is, do it now!"

NBB whirred, his head lowering as he deactivated. Hiro opened his access port and his eyes almost popped out when he saw that dreaded purple chip alongside the standard one. "Obake's chip." He could take it out and the robot would go back to normal, maybe NBB wouldn't remember anything and it'd be like his nefarious behavior was a thing of the past.

But as he reached out to pluck it, the wall next to him crumbled. "Hands off, Hamada!" A voice he also dreaded growled with anger.

"Trina!?" He turned his head to see her new form.

"I gave myself an upgrade." She gestured to herself. "I just tried it out on your friends." He backed away as she stomped over. "I've been trying to find my little brother for days, guess you found him first."

"Your little brother?" He scrunched his face as she closed NBB's access port and he rebooted.

"Uh-uh, I found him first!" NBB chipped in.
"...Okay?" This is weirder than finding out Obake is Mikan's dad and THAT'S saying something.

Trina frowned. "Really, Hamada? We're weird?" She gestured to herself. "You hanging out with Mr. Hugs over there?"

She pointed to the healthcare companion who was neck deep in potatoes. "My name is Baymax." He stated.

"Oh, shut it, hugs!" She looked down to her "little brother" who was clapping his hands.

"Howdy and hello!" His sickening cheery voice exclaimed. "Hi sis! Something is different. Is it the hair?"

"I cannot believe we're related."

Hiro barely had time to dodge when she swung her fist down at him. Or when NBB shot pickles, it was kind of amusing to see the pickle juice splattered all over Trina's glass dome.

"Do something intern!" Oh right, he still had to rescue Krei on top of dealing with the robotic "siblings." He lifted a magnet from his pocket, and threw it at the wall.

"Ha! You missed." Trina taunted him.

He just pulled out his phone and smirked. "Did I?" He activated the magnet and saw the two get pulled in.

"Hey!"

"Whee-hee-hee." NBB was staring at the magnet with his beady eyes. "This is a powerful pickle."

"Ultra-powerful mini-magnet." Hiro bragged as he amped up the level. "My design." And I'll never be in danger from villains like you ever again. He could defend himself this time, the door fell on its hinges as Trina and NBB were knocked back by the magnet.

"Cool, but what about me?!" He heard Krei, and freaked out when seeing how close the CEO was to the grill. "I don't want to be deep fried!"

Hiro ran to the bars and swung on a hook, grabbing the CEO by the foot before he fell in. "Got you!"
"Well done, intern!" Krei cheered as they landed on the ground.

Hiro huffed. "Do you have to call me 'intern?'"
"Well, that's your title, isn't it?" Krei pointed out. "You can call me CEO. I prefer it actually."
CRASH!

"Toodle noodle!" They watched NBB wave as he and Trina escaped the factory. Hiro had used the only magnet on him and who knows where the others were, he hoped Trina didn't maim them or anything.

"They have escaped." Baymax stated.

"If your obvious-bot is finished, how about you get me out of here?"
Hiro groaned.

Trina watched as NBB bounced around in the warehouse, she was back in her original body, she still had to debug her mech suit after-all. "Slow down Noodle, gotta make sure Hamada didn't give you a virus." Trina growled.

"Hey sis." He titled his head. "Are you going to hurt Mika?"

She growled at the mention of the traitor. "Of course! She betrayed me over her stupid fake family, she betrayed Father! It's her and Hamada's fault he died!"

"She still cares about us." NBB had a sad tone in his voice. "Maybe we can just give Big Hero 6 their order."

"Are you glitching?!" She yanked his arm. "Mikan can't be trusted, she was just trying to trick you so she could deactivate you."

"Really?"

"You can be such an idiot." Trina rolled her eyes. "That's how people like her work, they pretend to be your friend and then they take what they want." Father was right to not trust other humans, and I thought Mikan was better. I'm never believing her again.

"We'll get revenge on Hamada, and our traitorous sister, but for now we have to be patient. But we can mess with them a little to soften the blow." First they had to rebuild.

"Hee-hee-hee, they'll get a noodle supreme!"

"Indeed Noodle, indeed."

Superhero Squad group chat:

Captain Cutie: Ariel I have bad news

Ariel: Oh god, what is it?

Captain Cutie: Trina and NBB have teamed up.

Ariel: OH GOD WHYYY

Flame Jumper: Classic Phase 2 supervillain team up!
Speed Queen: No more Phase 2 Fred. Seriously.

Chop Chop: I am afraid

Ariel: Yeah what if Trina goes after the Fern Fam to get revenge on Mika?

Chem Girl: NBB did break into their house, we should at least warn her so she can keep David and Sara safe.

Flame Jumper: We can keep them safe by stopping those two! I'm not telling Mika any of our business, she has yet to complete her redemption arc!
Ariel: What does she have to nearly die for that? I've seen some of the redemption arcs in Kentucky Kaiju movies.

Speed Queen: NO

Captain Cutie: Ari none of us want her dead! Jeez!

Ariel: I mean that's what people deserve when they break your trust right? They don't deserve your forgiveness and they should hate you forever because you're a stupid burden on them anyways

Chem Girl:

Speed Queen:

Chop Chop:

Flame Jumper:

Captain Cutie: Sis are you okay?

Ariel: I'm fine

She put her phone down, and headed downstairs. She saw the gang huddled by their usual table, but no Hiro. "Where is he?"

"Talking to Krei outside." Gogo pointed to the door. Ari squinted and saw not only Krei, but Steven and Krei's assistant, Judy she could recall. I bet not a lot of people ask her that.

"Thanks." She started to walk outside but Wasabi cleared his throat and she turned around.

"If you need to talk to us about anything, let us know, okay?" Wasabi told her. "And stop calling yourself a burden okay? I know how it feels to not think of yourself highly, but I learned it's not true from a very good man, and his brother is an amazing person to talk to, so just don't bottle your feelings down."

"Take it from me, it's unhealthy." Honey Lemon added.

She could just awe at their kindness, but Ari was fine, it's not like she remembered a bad moment with her late parents or anything… she was fine!

As Ari walked outside of the cafe, noticing a limo with the window open. "Is there any way I could convince you to stay?" She heard Krei was in the limo speaking to Hiro.

Hiro frowned. "Uh, pass." He placed his hands in his pocket. "I just want to go back to school and be a regular student."

Ari giggled at the irony.
Steven then spoke up. "Hiro, is it because of your work experience at Krei-Tech?"

"Yes." Hiro frowned. Running those errands was just the worst thing he's ever done, he didn't want to see that cow costume ever again.

"Well that's kind of my fault." The mechanic sighed. "I told Krei to send you on those errands because I wanted to teach you a lesson in humility."
Ari blinked. What did I just overhear?

"Wh-wh-what?!" Hiro had a similar reaction. "What do you mean in humility?!"

Steven pinched the bridge of his nose. "You called me just so you can get an internship to try and outshine a fellow student, it was unhealthy and kind of immature of you. But a part of me knew an internship would be good for you, since Krei-Tech's labs could help you with work and whatever hobbies you and your friends do since Mikan did mention you could use a bit of help in terms of technology for some reason-"

Hiro gave a nervous chuckle.

"And even though I think my boss isn't good at handling internships considering the last one with my niece ended in a disaster." Steven shot a glare at Krei, who shrunk back a little. "You could at least use the experience, at least for a year?"

Hiro hummed as he seemed to be in deep thought. "Okay, okay." He gave a small nod. "But I want to go over details, and I don't want this internship getting in the way of school or my other er… hobbies." He smiled at Steven. "Thank you Mr. Ferns for uh, teaching me to be a bit more humble."

"Well if I can make sure my kids are well behaved it's not too much trouble making sure you learn a good lesson." The mechanic chuckled. "And call me Steven, dear lord, Mr. Ferns makes me sound like a grandpa, hopefully I won't be one for a while."

"I wouldn't blame you for going over terms of the contract." Krei gave a small chuckle. "Do you mind if we discuss inside?"

"Sure." Hiro shrugged. "Word of warning my aunt is still annoyed at you."

Krei gave a small squeak, which Ari found hilarious. "Of course."

Though she had to ask for more details about the whole internship, it sounded quite hilarious to her!

AN: One canon episode down, several more to go!

It was fun writing Krei this chapter bc he and Steven pulled a "pro-gamer move" on Hiro, it all worked out in the end

Except Trina and NBB... oof. They will appear more often than they did in canon, but I'm not overdoing it, they'll definitely be regular antagonists in Arc 3 so I can build up her big plan!

Ari's feelings at the end will be addressed, she's not going to have a major role in every single ep, dw, but I think I did good on her appearance in this one!

Anyways QOTW: Do you like how I managed to set up Hiro's internship more than in canon? Share your thoughts about this episode!
