Genius Boy: What,jpeg

Genius Boy: And here is a wild Ari in her natural habitat

Genius Boy: Stealing my food

Karmi: lol

The biotech genius, now an intern at Sycorax, snickered at the image Hiro sent her. They had shortly become sort-of-like friends, and she sometimes sent texts during her breaks.

The image of Ari giving an awkward smile with bags of junk food in her arms was hilarious.

Karmi: Why is half of the junk food gummy bears

Genius Boy: Excuse me gummy bears are not just a junk food

Genius Boy: They are the greatest snack of all thank you very much

Karmi: goldfish are better

Genius Boy: your on thin ice

Karmi: *You're

Genius Boy: idaa,opaaopiilaadiadlaweewqawo0al]

She bit back another laugh.

"What's so funny?" Karmi almost threw her phone up in the air, she quickly turned to whoever surprised her.

"Don't sneak up on me, Mikan!" She narrowed her eyes at the sneaky woman.

Mikan just rolled her eyes. "I wasn't sneaking up on you, not my fault you were busy with your fanfiction."

"I'm not always working on my story when I'm on my phone." Karmi crossed her arms and huffed. "For your information I was texting one of my friends."

"Oooh, I'm sorry for interrupting your texting with Ari." Mikan sarcastically mumbled. "What do you mean by friends, plural, Ari's your only friend."

Karmi had never felt so offended as she gave a sharp gasp. "Rude! No wonder you didn't show up to the party if you treat people like that."

Mikan squinted. "Eh, you're right. Sorry, I'm still working on my attitude."

She raised an eyebrow. "Well telling someone they don't have many friends isn't nice."

"I noted." The snow-striped girl shrugged. "Uh, shoot. Liv wanted me to get you for your next assignment. Didn't mean to ramble."

Karmi shot Hiro a quick "gtg" text before turning off her phone. "Why didn't you say so?"

"Curiosity killed the cat, or rather killed the dog-"

"Please stop making dog puns just because your spirit animal is a wolf Mikan, it's getting old."

"Tough crowd. At least Nicole likes my jokes!"

Ari poked her head into the garage. "Hiro, why do you have a funny smile on your face?"

"Just telling Karmi about that time you tried stealing my gummy bears." Hiro snickered. "And how you failed."

"Hey!" She huffed. "I was hungry, and I feel really bad taking snacks from the cafe."

The teen genius just rolled his eyes. "I take snacks sometimes, it's one of the pros of living in a cafe." Hiro chuckled, then sputtered. "Wh-are you kidding me?!"

"Huh?" Ari walked over, and Hiro showed her the text. "I kind of agree, goldfish is kind of tastier than gummy bears."

Hiro dropped dramatically to the ground. "I am betrayed by my own sister."

Ari just chuckled. "Hey, how has your internship been treating you?"

He got backed up. "Okay, the workload isn't as bad as I thought but Krei gets on my nerves." Hiro grumbled. "At least I'm not the only one who gets irritated by him."

"Steven?" She guessed.

"No, I talk to a few of my coworkers, not just Steven." He told her. "I recently talked to two guys named Carl and Ian, they were nice."

"Huh, sounds fun." Ari shrugged.

"Yeah, it's not bad." Hiro chuckled, then paused. "Wait, don't you have homework to do?"

"Uhhhhh…" She slowly walked out of the garage. "Maybe?"

"Ari get back here and do your homework!"

"But it's a stupid article, and you're one to talk!"
"Ari!"

Ferns and Nerds group chat:

Honey Lemon: Hey Sienna, how do you use watercolors without them dripping all over the canvas

Sienna Kline: Do you have the canvas lying down or is standing up

Honey Lemon: Standing up..

Sienna Kline: That might be the problem, try having a flat surface so the watercolors don't drop down.

Sara Ferns: How do you know all this

Sienna Kline: I am an ART student

Gogo: I thought you were a digital artist.

Sienna Kline: I mostly take digital art classes but I'm good at traditional

Wasabi: Wow. I can't even draw perfect circles

Sienna Kline: Invest in a ruler

Wasabi: There's no ruler for drawing circles!
Sara Ferns: Oof

It was a lovely evening at SFAI. "Isn't it so nice and warm out?" Sienna was sitting out one of the campus benches, her head rested against her boyfriend's chest, she hummed in delight as his hand gently trailed along the back of her neck.

"I guess." He sounded doubtful, for some reason. She placed a hand on his shoulder. "What's wrong David?" Sienna frowned. "Bad day?"

"No." David shook his head. "I was just, thinking about my mother."

"Your mother?" There were only two people David referred to his mom, and he had loved Sally to a T. "You mean…" Sienna lowered her voice to avoid eavesdroppers.

"Momakase."

David just groaned. "Yeah, that's her."

"Is it about what she did?" Sienna guessed. "Helping that awful man make a mockery of Shimamoto by using that… that machine to taint her legacy?!"

"Shhh." David shushed her. "I know it upsets you, that's why I didn't bring it up."

"David, cookie, no." She reassured him by planting a kiss to his cheek. "You shouldn't have to hide something from me just because you think I'll get upset. You know that I'm here for you and you're here for me, alright?"

"Alright." He sighed. "I've considered talking to my mother again, but I still don't forgive her." David groaned, his other hand around Sienna's waist tightening. "I don't know, I just, what if she cares more about doing bad stuff again than me?."

"David, I might not like that woman but I know that she cares about you." She held his hand to his chin. "Maybe you should tell her how you feel, how much her actions upset you."

He paused, then gave a slow nod. "Alright, but not today."

"You can wait a little." She smiled, seeing how that lifted his spirits. Sienna leaned in and gave him a soft kiss on the lips. "Now, I believe I'd like to enjoy the sunset with you."

David flashed a goofy grin, and kissed her back. "I wouldn't mind that." His hands crawling up her back as he pulled her closer. "Now, where were we?"

At the end of the day, all seemed to be well in the city.

However, when the sun setted and night rose, there was an unusual meeting.

A chef, preparing a meal for her guest, however there something uneasy as her sharp blue blades cut through ingredients. And as the chef use chopsticks to pick another asparagus from the grill and onto it's plate with other foods, hazel eyes watched with interest.

"Your Kaiseki is exquisite." Liv complimented the chef. "So very… unique."

The chef, none other than Momakase, didn't bat an eye and continued to work. "And I understand you possess mere skills as well, Ms. Amara."

"We are all guided by our passions, aren't we?" Liv pointed out as Momakase started cutting fish. She watched with sharp eyes as the fish was placed into a flowerlike pattern.

Once she was done with the fish and adding spices, Momakase took the plate to Liv. "Allow me to present your dinner."
The blonde woman took a piece of fish with her chopsticks and savored the taste. "Mmm. Delicious. You have a gift."

"Obviously." Momakase smirked. "But I want more."
Liv grinned, seeing the opportunity. "You know, my company is looking for a certain kind of investor." She handed the chef a top secret folder.

"Oh." Momakase commented as she read it. "A wealthy one?"

"Let's say, motivated." Liv smirked a malicious grin, showing her true colors. "At Sycorax, we believe in progress... at any cost."

"And if I invest, I can expect a certain return, yes?" The chef hinted.

Liv paused from drinking her tea. "I make dreams come true."

"How about nightmares?" Momakase smirked, a dark chuckle was what responded.

"I tend to not get my hands dirty." Liv gestured to herself. "I put a lot of work being the face of Sycorax, that's where you come in." She took another sip of tea. "I did hear you were looking for a set of blades, I might be able to tell you what I know, for a price."

"You drive a hard bargain Ms. Amara." The chef noted. "We have a deal."

"So it's settled." Liv grinned.

"By the way." Momakase's gaze darkened. "I heard that one of your employees is named Mikan Ferns, I suggest keeping her on a tight leash."

"Oh?" The blonde woman raised an eyebrow. "Why is that?"

"She had backstabbed my former employer, it would be bad news if she found out what you were willing to do for your company." The chef wiped her graphene knives with a cloth.

"Ah, she's your son David's older sister, right?" She hummed. "Thank you for the warning, however, I believe it's best if I just keep her attention elsewhere." Liv took another bite of fish. "She won't have a reason to suspect anything otherwise."

"Yes, perhaps that is the best." Momakase repoured her tea. "You know what they say..."

"It's better to let sleeping dogs lie." Liv grinned.

Elsewhere…

"For the love of god Rachel!" Katie groaned as she buried her face into a pillow. "Can you please finish your dumb report so we can go hang at the park?!"

"Katie!" Rachel shushed her. "These things take time." She saved her document and submitted. "There, done. Are you happy now, your highness?"

"Very." The blue purred as she hopped onto Rachel's shoulders. "You're starting to turn into your dad, workaholic and everything."

"Well that's what happens when everything is peaceful." Rachel sighed, then froze. "Katie, do you hear that?" Her voice dropped into a whisper.
Katie twitched her ears, she heard footsteps, then-

BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-BEEP

"That's the alarm!" Rachel gasped. "Someone broke into the house!"

Her feline companion growled and sharpened her claws. "They'll think twice before-"

"Shh, let's investigate." The scruffy brunette told her.

They slowly crept downstairs, the alarm had been broken, the lights shut off. Katie could see well in the dark, and Rachel had good night vision, they saw a figure hunched near the fridge. Their eyes masked by goggles and were cloaked in blue and black clothing. Rachel had the faint impression of a ninja. Katie readied her claws but a hand stopped her.

"We have no idea if this intruder has a gun or not." She whispered.

"Oh come on!" Katie hissed a little too loudly for her liking. "I can take any thief, just let me at-ACK!"

Too deep in their conversation, the thief had pounced, knocking both girls to the ground and tied their hands.

"Ouch!" Rachel hissed, in the corner of her eye she saw a suitcase in the thief's hands as they bounced off. When they left, the lights had been turned on. "Oh yeah, you totally showed them who's boss Katie cat." She sarcastically mumbled.

"Shut up." It was easy for the blue to cut her way out of the rope and get Rachel out too. "What did they steal?"

"Something from the fridge." Rachel walked over to the refrigerator, and opened it. "Let's see, the coke is still here, so is mom's veggies and fruits."
"The ice cream and pizza are still here." Katie poked her nose at the shelves. "And the cheese-wait, pause."

Rachel turned to the shelf where their cheddar and other cheeses were stored. "Ah." She hummed. "They stole Dad's moose cheese!"

"Really, cheese-wait that was what the white cheese was?!" Katie bristled. "Moose milk?! That's gross, blegh!"

"Oh hush Katie!" Rachel groaned. "Dad's really booked at the station, he might not be able to help with serial thievings."

"Serial?" The blue scrunched her nose.

"Yeah, Fred texted me an hour ago telling me that his house got robbed too." Rachel shook her head. "Whatever reason these robberies are happening for, I have a bad feeling."

"Maybe you should tell him." Katie suggested. "Doesn't he have a superhero hotline? He could get Big Hero 6 on the case so Elio doesn't have to overwork!"

"Good idea Katie!" They high-fived, and Rachel pulled out her phone and hit record. "Hey uh, Fred? I'm sending you this message because I just got robbed-"

"And the thief stole my Dad's really expensive white moose cheese, it cost him a lot of money to import so that stinks. Anyways I also heard you got robbed so maybe you should call Big Hero 6, so this 'cheesy' situation doesn't 'gouda' out of control."

"Seriously Rachel, cheese puns? For crying out loud!"

"I had to do them Katie!" Rachel turned her attention back to the video. "Anyhoo, hopefully we get our stolen goods back, eh?"

Baymax then paused the video. "See?" Fred gestured to the screen. "We both got robbed yesterday!"
"Aw, I hope you both were okay." Honey Lemon gave a worried look.

"We were, we were." Fred waved it off. "Baymax, roll the microwave cam!"

Baymax played a clip of Fred and Mini-Max being attacked by the same ninja figure that attacked Rachel and Katie.

"Microwave cam? Seriously?" Gogo frowned.

"Baymax, enhance." Hiro told the robot.

"Enhancing." The video was enhanced, all it did was make it more clearer.

"Well that was helpful." Gogo sarcastically stated.

They looked behind them as Granville entered the Robotics lab, wheeling in a deactivated security bot. "Carry on with your surveillance analysis like I'm not even here." She greeted them.

"I still can't get used to Professor Granville knowing we're Big Hero 6." Wasabi whispered to the group.

"Again, pretend I'm not here."

"Aah!" They all yelped when she snuck up on them.

"What did they take, Fred?" Honey Lemon asked him. "We know the thief took white moose cheese from Rachel, what did they take from you?"

"That's the thing, nothing's missing, not even my most valuable collectible." To the group's disgust, Fred showed off said valuable collectible. "The actual underpants from the Captain Fancy movie."

"Yeah, I was wondering about those." Wasabi gave a disgusted look.

"Mr. Frederickson…"
"Aah!" The group yelped again as Granville walked up to them.

"...your collectable undergarments are not relevant to the situation, and-" Granville paused. "Oops. Sorry." She chuckled. "I'm not here."

Hiro raised an eyebrow. "Wait. Professor Granville, what were you gonna say?"

"I don't want to tell you how to superhero." She walked up to Baymax's screen, and zoomed in on the suitcase. "But you have to look for the details within the details." She zoomed to the faint letters on the suitcase, and circled it. "That is not just any case."

"It's temperature controlled." He noted.

"Whatever the thief stole, had to be stored at precisely 1.6 degrees Celsius."

"That is the factory recommended temperature for consumer refrigeration." Baymax pointed out.

Hiro frowned. "So the thief stole something from Fred's fridge?"

"A burglar that steals leftovers." Gogo deadpanned. "How exciting."

"Thanks for the tip, Professor Granville." Honey Lemon beamed.

"Yeah, good catch." Wasabi nodded.

"I'm available any time you need assistance." She told them as she exited the lab. "DM me!"

The group paused.
"Did she just say, 'DM me?'" Hiro blinked.

He got a bunch of shrugs in response.

Now we're getting to the good stuff! Muahahahahhaha! Things are gonna get a little... catty! *rimshot*

I'm sorry.

Not really.

Sidenote, every episode is gonna be about 3 chapters long. Because I had to stretch it to add those little scenes! And also include more of my children! Hope everyone is okay with that. There's plenty of moments with the canon kids too!

QOTW: How do you think David's gonna react to his mom going all feral? Probably opposite of positive but I like hearing your thoughts!
