He ended up walking to David and Sara's shared lab. I hope at least one of them believes me. But when he walked in, he saw a repeat of the Robotics lab. Except Sara was the only one petting the Mayoi.

Hiro groaned upon the sight. Oh, god. Can I please catch a break?

He saw that Mikan was also in the lab, casually playing on her phone, and she greeted him first. "Hello Hiro, what brings you to our humble abode?"

"Hiro!" Sara stopped playing with the Mayoi and hugged him. "Are you doing okay?" She had noticed the dried tears on his face.

"No." He sighed. "No one believes me today."

"About Liv?" David questioned. "Well, I believe you." His peer brought up good points, and Liv apparently was at the same dinner his mother had hosted before turned into a monster.

"I can't say anything because Liv's my boss, but you wouldn't accuse her without reason." Mikan added. "You're a smart kid, Hiro."

"Thanks but it's not that." He sighed. "No one believes me about the Mayoi, not even you."

That was directed at Sara, who looked at the Mayoi chasing its tail on her lab table, then back to him. "Oh, Hiro. Aunt Sally banned them from the house, so I just borrowed a classmate's, they're cute and fun to play with, but we're also studying them."

"I find them highly suspicious." David stated.

"We know." Both girls chorused. Hiro just stared, they… they believed him? Not even Ari believed me. He felt his eyes water again.

Sara noticed. "Oh, no are you okay?!"

"Yeah, they're happy tears." He wiped them off. "I just… I'm so stressed, Liv's been getting away with her crimes, and then the Mayoi show up I…" He walked over and gave David a hug, he was always the best hugger out of the trio.

"It's okay buddy." David told him as he hugged back. "I believe you, and I know others do, even if it's hard to believe."

"I'd like to agree, but I'll feel mean." Sara winced. "I really don't like Chris, but saying the whole company is suspicious because I don't like one person is me being petty."

"I don't like him either." Hiro told her. "Wasabi believed me at first, but now he doesn't because of him." He was starting to question their relationship now that he thought about it.

No matter how cute it seemed on the outside, Hiro just didn't trust the handsome assistant.

"Thank you!"

Mikan rolled her eyes. "I think he just likes himself too much, nothing too suspicious." She chuckled. "But not everyone in Sycorax is bad, my coworkers like Nicole are good people, it's probably just high management like Liv who raise red flags."

She then awkwardly looked around. "Don't tell them I said that."

"Hey Mika-"

"Only my siblings can call me that." She corrected Hiro.

"Sorry, Mikan. Can you keep an eye on Karmi at Sycorax?" He asked her. "I don't want Liv to hurt her, she… the way she talks to Karmi gives me red flags."

"I didn't think she gives red flags, but sure." Mikan gave him a thumbs up. "We're chill now, not friendly, but she's chill. So I'll keep an eye on her for ya."

"Progress!" David chimed in.

"Are you feeling better now?" Sara asked him.

"A little." The door then opened and Baymax waddled in.

"Hello." Baymax waved. "Hiro, I would like to apologize."

"Baymax?" Hiro questioned him.

"I did not acknowledge your fears and doubts. I am sorry for causing you any distress." The healthcare companion told him.

Hiro sniffled, then gave him a big hug, Baymax hugged him back.

"C'mon buddy, let's go." Hiro waved goodbye to the Fern kids, who waved back. He at least had some people believing in him.

And maybe others do. While he was down, he'd not give up. Liv and the Mayoi would never break Hiro's spirit.

On his next visit, he walked towards the dean's office. "Professor Granville is a total hardcase." He stated. "She won't buy the cute act for a second."

"Being cute can be an act?" Baymax asked him.

"Yeah! Sometimes! This time."

"I have noted this in my database." While it was great that the Fern kids took his claims seriously, Hiro at least wanted to see if other people believed him.

But when he opened the door, he was met with a disturbing sight.

Granville was brushing a Mayoi with a pretty purple bow on her desk. "Who's my fuzzy-wuzzy? You're my fuzzy-wuzzy!" She was cooing to it, squishing the Mayoi's cheeks.

She looked up to see Hiro's shocked face, and he slowly exited the office and closed the door before she could ask what he wanted.

He started banging his head on the wall until the healthcare companion grabbed him. "Hiro, please do not do that."

Hiro didn't reply. "Does nobody care where these things came from?" He wondered, it seems except the Fern kids and maybe one other person, the entire city was blinded by how adorable the Mayoi looked.

"Their cuteness seems to be the primary focus." The robotics genius wasn't paying attention to the robot, his eyes caught a familiar brunette walking down the hallway and ran up to her.

"Karmi, wait! I was about to come see you." As he ran up to her, he saw how her eyes zoomed in on the healed cut on his nose. Her mouth opened but closed before saying anything, so he continued. "Did the Mayoi come from Sycorax?"

She blinked at him. "What?"

"Right? The Mayoi? Liv thing?"

"Stop projecting your paranoid delusions on my boss." Karmi gently nudged him away from her. "When's the last time you slept?"

"Paranoid!?" His voice cracked. "I-I am not paranoid!"

"I'm starting to feel bad for you." She winced, seeing the crazed expression in his eyes. "Maybe take a nap so you sound more sane when you wake up. Okay, Genius Boy?" Karmi slowly started to walk away from the poor teen.

"Well, I feel worse for you, because Liv created these things, and even if they look cute, they're monsters!" Hiro shouted at her.

Karmi stopped walking and looked to her right, where a Mayoi was licking a student. "Yeah, I'm terrified." She said sarcastically before continuing to walk down the hall.

Hiro watched her go out of sight and sighed, feeling more lonelier than ever.

That feeling intensified when on his way back to the Lucky Cat, he saw people with Mayoi everywhere. Heck, even Globby and Felony Carl had a dozen in their arms!

"I never knew how much of my heart I was not using." The biker stated, cradling several in his lap while on his motorcycle.

Globby was smiling at the sight. "You look so cute with those little guys."

"Thanks, Globs."

Hiro just rolled his eyes and dragged Baymax along, but as he rounded a corner, he nearly bumped heads with someone. "Oh, sorry!"

"Hiro!" Megan looked overjoyed to see him. "Thank god I found you!"

His eyes went wide. "What happened?!"
"Nothing bad." She gestured with her hands. "But everyone at my school is fawning over the Mayoi and I'm really starting to get sick of it, like I thought my peers were smart enough to question where strange green creatures came from considering there's a whole club talking about monsters and alien sightings. It's ridiculous!" Megan exclaimed.

Sure she thought the Mayoi were cute, but the cuteness had worn off and now she was concerned for the safety of the city. "Sorry, I had to vent there."

"No, you're good." He replied, also feeling her pain.

"Hiro also shares similar opinions about the cute Mayoi." Baymax told her.

"Aw, they got Baymax." Megan pouted. "And I thought my dad was bad enough…"

"Really?" Hiro raised an eyebrow. "I thought he'd be paranoid."

"No, not really. He's not suspicious since the Mayoi haven't done anything wrong." She shrugged. "But Big Hero 6 who help people get on his radar, adult logic is wack. I'd like to unsubscribe please."

"Same." He nodded. "Even my friends, Fred included, are doubtful." Hiro then let out a sigh.

Megan took notice. "What did they say?"

"They told me to leave for 'upsetting their son.'' He quoted. "It's like… uch, for a second I thought I was back in Whitepine." Where he was alone, isolate, and bullied.

"Ouch." She winced in sympathy. "I hope they apologize soon, if not you have a right to stay mad for a while."

"Is that bad?" Hiro questioned.

"Not in my book." Megan told him. "One time back in uh… either Phoenix or Port Angeles, can't remember. A boy I knew told all our friends I had a crush on him because I liked this girl more than him. Didn't speak to all of them until the day we moved."

"Wow." He whistled. "That's yikes, sorry that happened to you."

"Yeah, I haven't really acted on crushes since then." She looked thoughtful for a moment, but then shook it off. "I'd at least date a person who uses their brain."

"Do I fit into this category?" Hiro teased.

Megan playfully rolled her eyes. "You only have like one brain cell, and you don't use it that much, Hiro."

"Hey!" They both giggled.

"I do not get it." Baymax blinked at them.

As Hiro parted ways with Megan and went back to the cafe, his good mood soured seeing his aunt play with a Mayoi. "Aah. Not you, too, Aunt Cass."

Cass was just playing with the Mayoi. "What a good boy! Yes, I'm talking about you. You're a good boy!"

"Meow!" Mochi's unhappy meow made Hiro glance at the calico. Poor scrap, I think you're cuter than these green monsters.

"Does being a 'good boy' make one cute?" Baymax asked Cass.

"Well, it doesn't hurt." She replied. "Come pet Mario!" She held out the Mayoi to Hiro, who was dragging Baymax through the door to upstairs.

"No, thanks. I'm good." As he was heading upstairs, he saw Mochi run after them.

"Meow…" Mochi's ears fell, his eyes were watery as he looked up at Hiro.

"Aww, Mochi." He scooped him up. "I'd never pick the Mayoi over you." Hiro felt something funny in his chest as Mochi just buried his face into his arms.

I wonder if this is how parents feel. He thought as he headed upstairs.

Ari was on the computer, breathing heavily as she scrolled through the internet. "Hey, sis." Hiro politely greeted her. "Run a marathon?"

"No, I've been upstairs all day, I started feeling funny when Aunt Cass brought Mario in." She explained. "I've been on the internet all day, seeing if people have been having allergic reactions to the Mayoi."

"Oh, you too?" He blinked. "On the chat Rachel was allergic to them, remember?"

"Yeah but those were hives." Ari shrugged. "I just feel… out of breath, y'know? Maybe I stepped on a mushroom or something. Remember that one time I got a bad bellyache after my birthday?"

"Yeah, because you had mushrooms on your pizza and forgot you were allergic." Hiro chuckled. "You threw a fit when Aunt Cass tried taking you to a doctor."

"We have a doctor at home!" She pointed to Baymax.

"Hiro. I do not understand why you like the Mayoi." The healthcare companion asked the teen genius. "Do you not want to scratch their chins?"

"Liv's messing with us. I know it!" Hiro paced back and forth.

Ari shook her head at him. "Oh, dear. I thought you were past this. Liv's nice, y'know?"

"Niceness does not equal a good person." Hiro told her, then lied down on his bed. "Or Karmi is right, and I'm just losing it."

"Did you guys talk about the fight yesterday?"

"No Ari, we did not."

Wasabi's face then flashed on Baymax's screen. "We have a problem!" Then it shut off.

Hiro got up out of bed. "I gotta go back!"

"I'm coming with!" Ari followed him as he ran down the stairs, Mochi watched the two come back up and drag Baymax along.

"Humans are weird." Mochi stated.

Hiro ran into the Robotics lab. "What's the problem?" He then saw the gang trying to get Minty off of Fred's lap.

The small creature had grown to about the size of a wolf. "Oh." Baymax blinked.

"He… grew." The comic fan grunted.

"I hate to say I told you so."

Ari took one look at Minty and wheezed. "Oh, boy. I'm not cleaning his litterbox."

"Mayoi!" Minty landed on top of Gogo.

"Then don't." She groaned.

Hiro smugly walked up to her. "But I did warn- aah!"

"Mayoi!" Minty then pounced on him! Ari ran to tug him off.

"No! Don't jump on people!" She gripped Minty by the tail, panting heavily as she tried dragging him off.

Hiro recoiled in disgust as the Mayoi licked him. "Fred, what did you feed him?"

"I gave him a bunch of tofu nuggets."

Gogo got up. "Tofu nuggets?" Ari managed to get Minty off of Hiro and he was trying to wipe the disgusting slobber off his cheek.

"Heathcliff always said they're good for growing boys. And I guess he was right." The comic fan gestured to Minty running around the lab with a box on his face. "Because this boy is grown!"

"If this Mayoi got big, what about the others?" Hiro questioned, Ari paled at the idea of giant Mayoi running around.

"Maybe it's just ours?" Honey Lemon optimistically suggested.

"It is not." Baymax played the Action 7 News channel on his screen.

"Breaking news." On the screen, a clip of several big Mayoi causing a mess on the streets played as Bluff Dunder spoke. "It looks like our darling Mayoi are all grown up and destroying the city. But come on. I mean, adorbs."

"Mayoi!" A Mayoi pounced on the reporter, nearly knocking him off his chair.

"Still cute!"

Hiro sighed as the report ended. "I know who can help us find out what's going on."

"Who?" Ari asked him.

One field trip later…

Karmi flashed the group a deadpan stare. "You're kidding, right?"

"Well you just look at him, please?" Hiro, Ari, Baymax, and Honey Lemon had dragged Minty all the way to her lab. Hiro and Ari were both flashing her puppy eyes.

"Pleaaaase?" Ari begged. "Minty needs a check-up from the best biotech student on SFIT!"

"Now you're just milking it." Karmi sighed. She walked up to Minty, Honey Lemon was keeping him distracted on her lab table by giving the Mayoi pets.

"Mayoi." Karmi snipped a sample of fur and took it to her microscope.

"Hmm. Interesting."

Hiro walked up to her. "Is there something in the fur?"

"It's not fur, genius." Karmi told him. "It's fungus."

Honey Lemon instantly recoiled away from Minty. "Ew, I cuddled him."

"That explains why I-" Ari stopped talking and began panting again. "Fungi allergy." She wheezed.

Karmi's eyes widened in concern. "How much contact have you had with the Mayoi?!"

"Uh, I petted one at school, and on my way back a bunch dogpiled me. But then ran off." Ari told her.

"No wonder you've had breathing problems!"

"Shortness of breath is a symptom of a fungi allergic reaction, such as hives, cramping, wheezing, headaches, and nausea." Baymax stated.

Ari groaned. "Not again…" She wheezed. "I'm gonna lie down." And fell onto the floor.

Hiro winced in sympathy.

"The Mayoi are more plantlike than mammalian for some reason." Karmi explained. "Despite fungi not being in the plant category.."

"That's possible?" Hiro frowned.

Baymax looked at Minty. "Scanning for hybrid characteristics." His screen flickered a diagram. "Yes, the Mayoi are photosynthetic."

"Exactly! They get energy from the sun, but they're also processing regular food, which explains-"

Honey Lemon gasped at the monitor displaying what was going on. "The accelerated growth rate!"

"Woah!" Karmi's eyes widened. "Its fur is vibrating on an atomic level. Nanochemical oscillations, it's how plants communicate." She explained, then went back to the microscope. "I don't know what they're saying, but with a little more study…"

"Are they done growing?" Hiro asked her.

Just as he said that, Minty started to expand. "Mayoi! Mayoi!" His voice trembled as he started growing so big, the whole group was squished against the wall.

"Does that answer your question?" She grunted.

"Yes it does. Thank you." Baymax replied.

"I can't… breathe!" Ari wheezed.

"Hang in there, Ari!" Hiro tried grabbing her hand, but he was too squished. "Karms, can you reverse this?"

"M-Maybe!" She was a little startled as Hiro called her by her signature nickname. "I need time, and space!"

"We might not have either." Honey Lemon squeaked, as outside the window, a Mayoi almost big as the school was stomping outside.

"Mayoi." It bellowed.

"Is this still considered cute?"

"NO!" They all chorused.

Ari kept wheezing. "Ohhh, I don't feel so good." She started turning purple.

"Oh, no." Baymax stated. But then the pressure started to shrink, as Minty began shrinking back to his small size.

"Mayoi!" He ran out of the room, darting by a pair of feet.

"You guys okay?" Sharp green eyes observed the room.

Hiro got up. "Mikan!" He then helped the others up. "You came at the best time!" He then saw the syringe in her hand, a small sample of it left. "What's that?"

"Temporary cure for the Mayoi's sizing." She spun it around. "He might go back to his chunky size once exiting the building."

"My son has abandoned me…" Honey Lemon pouted.

Baymax patted her on the shoulder. "There, there."

"Oh, boy." Hiro texted for the others to get ready to suit up and prepared to exit. "I better get back to the others." He hugged Ari. "Stay put, I mean it."

"Yeah." Her breathing was more steady, but still panting. "I don't think I like these Mayoi anymore…"

"Me neither." He, Honey Lemon, and Baymax then ran out of the room.

"Mikan!" Karmi ran up to the other biotech student. "We gotta get this to Sycorax, Liv could make the cure more permanent."

"Uh…" She hesitated. "You sure? I mean couldn't you do it yourself?"

"Liv's really good at biotech!" Ari stated. "She could help. Maybe she already has a cure!"

"Well I wanna head over there to help." Karmi explained. "C'mon, don't tell me you believe Hiro and his crazy conspiracies." She then turned to Ari. "No offense."

"None taken, I think Hiro's just stressed." Ari shrugged.

Mikan rolled her eyes. "Um, well you could probably help Liv. I wanna keep an eye on Ari. But it wouldn't hurt escorting you…"

"Yes!" Both girls cheered.

"Oh, boy." Mikan just pinched the bridge of her nose. "This is gonna be a long night."

Ferns and Nerds group chat:

Sienna Kline: OMG THE MAYOI GREW LIKE WEEDS

TheLittleMermaid: I don't like Mayoi anymore

Sara Ferns: SAME

Rachel Rosemary: I'm allergic to themsakddaisja

Hiro Hamada: You okay?!

Rachel Rosemary: Yeah brb

"Oh, no." Katie's pelt bristled, as the house shook. Something had to have happened the moment Rachel's parents were out.

Something rumbled from outside. "Mayoi." A face poked through the door.

"Get OUT!" Katie hissed at the giant green creature. "LEAVE!"
"What do they w-ack!" Rachel hissed in pain. "Uch… hives." Then screamed as a paw burst through the window and grabbed them.

A maniacal but familiar chuckle echoed through the air. "You…" Katie hissed at the voice.

There was a crazed grin. "You two are gonna help me send a message to San Fransokyo, whether you like it or not."

They clung to each other in fear.

Above in the streets of San Fransokyo, Big Hero 6 were getting to work herding the Mayoi.

From Fred luring them in by acting like a toy, to Gogo helping Wasabi attract the large green creatures with his flashing plasma blades. Honey Lemon made sure the streets were safe thanks to her chem balls, flying on top of Baymax as they flew over Night Market Square.

"Good job guys." Hiro told them through the comms. "We just need to keep them happy and relaxed."

He felt his nerves shoot up as the screens all around the building flickered a green light. "Whaaat?"

The Mayoi stopped stampeding and stood up, swaying and chanting as they stared at the green lights.

Wasabi tried getting their attention with the plasma blades, but it didn't work.

"What's going on?" Honey Lemon questioned.

Static crackled on the screens, and as it faded, a grinning pink-haired man greeted them. "Hello San Fransokyo!"

Flames spat out as he flashed peace signs, and rained confetti over the streets. "Are you enjoying my adorable little gifts?" On the screen he held Minty up with a hand. "Except they're not so little anymore, are they?"

"No, they're really big!" Fred was stuck in a Mayoi's mouth.

"That was rhetorical!" A drone carried a screen over to where he was. "That's right, San Fransokyo. I've been cooking up all sorts of monstery surprises! It was me!"

"They're not moving!" Wasabi exclaimed, as Gogo pulled Fred out of the Mayoi's mouth.

He recoiled in disgust at the drool over his suit. "Eww, I need a shower."

"Liked Orso Knox? Loved the Hibagon? Enjoyed Momakase?" The drone hovered over the trio, as if mocking them while Sparkles recited the past monsters of the week.

"Disturbed by High Voltage? I made eels, people. Eel people!"

Hiro just stared in disbelief, first at annoyance Sparkles showed up at the worst time. Then it turned to confusion. "Sparkles is behind the monsters?" He questioned aloud.

It didn't make sense, Sparkles hadn't had a presence since trying to yeet Mochi into space and the whole underground racing system. So why would he turn villains into monsters?

"All me! I have a very good brain!" Sparkles replied, Hiro tried swiping at the screen but failed.

"Why?"

"For the notoriety, duh!" The drones flew to a skyscraper, and flames poured out as Sparkles appeared on screen, his skin a little green, perhaps from the lights.

He took a deep breath. "Watch me work." Then his eyes flashed green, and leaves grew on his face. Sparkles took a few steps, then fell down.

They all gasped.

"B-Red Panda!" Hiro slammed the robot's back, flying over to quickly catch Sparkles before he turned into a green pancake.

"Mayoi." One of the Mayoi caught Sparkles before he fell.

"And to make things more interesting…" Sparkles snapped his fingers, and another Mayoi hopped onto the skyscraper he fell off of. But in the Mayoi's arms was…

"Rachel and Katie!" Honey Lemon gasped with horror as the two struggled on the screen.

"Let us go!" Rachel was shaking and coughing, her body covered in red bumps, and looked to be in pain.

"She's allergic to the Mayoi you monster!" Katie hissed. "You've really done it this time, Sparkles!

"
The deranged host yawned. "Yeah, you two are boring now. But I thought of giving you one last taste of punishment for all the trouble you gave me." He snapped his fingers again.

"Mayoi!" The Mayoi then tossed the two off the building, both girls screaming at the top of their lungs. Baymax didn't hesitate before flying to catch them.

"I have got you." He said when they were both safe in his arms.

Honey Lemon quickly scooped both of them up. "You're safe now!"

"Define safe." Rachel mumbled, still shaking.

Sparkles chuckled. "The main attraction starts now! Can you guess what it is?" He hopped onto the Mayoi's back. "It's me! Destroying the city with my fat fur babies! May I, Mayoi?" He laughed. "Still talking!"

His eyes glowed green again as the Mayoi grew, turning from big fluffy creatures into snarling monsters.

Both Rachel and Katie paled in horror.

"Welp." The blue meowed. "We're so fu-"

"KATIE!"

Gogo stared at the transformed Mayoi. "How is he doing this?"

"It's like he's controlling them!" Wasabi exclaimed. The Mayoi's ears flickered the same green as Sparkle's eyes, they all ran to him.

"Vibrations!" Hiro realized. "Sparkles is communicating with the Mayoi."

"Using nanochemical oscillations!" Honey Lemon added.

Rachel frowned at them. "Nano-what?"

Hiro turned to her as Baymax landed on the ground. "Pseudo-telepathy."

Fred gasped. "Mind control? That's number eight on my top ten list of superpowers!"

"And number one on our list of problems." Wasabi reminded him.

Both girls hopped off of Baymax's back. "Please stay behind us." The robot told us.

"Thanks." Katie smiled at him.

"How are we gonna stop him?" Wasabi questioned. Gogo just threw a disk at Sparkles, which was blocked by a large paw.

"Oh, did I mention that I can see whatever the Mayoi see?" Sparkles explained.

Gogo growled in frustration.

Hiro also growled. No wonder the Mayoi dogpiled people. Sparkles must've planned the stunt with Rachel and Katie since the Mayoi first appeared, he had been using his minions to hunt them down!

"I now have eyes in the back of my head. Not literally. It's an idiom. Never stop learning!"

He then waved to the camera. "Say bye-bye to your big heroes, folks." Sparkles gave his signature cackle as he unleashed the Mayoi on Big Hero 6.

They quickly got off the streets as one pounced on them. Fred was carrying Wasabi and the girls, Honey Lemon was carrying Gogo. But then one Mayoi leapt and knocked Hiro off of Baymax.

"NO!" They all cried out.

"Oh, no." Baymax quickly caught him, he hit the pavement, and landed in front of a Mayoi. The robot shielded Hiro as the beast flexed its claws and prepared to tear their eyes out.

"I can't watch!" Rachel buried her face into her palms.

But the blow never came, both boys looked up as a small sized Mayoi landed on Baymax's head, then ran off.

Sparkles tossed away a script. "Plot twist. Who's this?"

A blonde woman who's outfit looked straight out of Ghostbusters carrying a blaster stared up at him. "Liv Amara, and I am here to save this city!"

The superheroes paused.

"What?" Fred questioned.

"What?!" Katie bristled.

"I saw the trouble on TV, so I synthesized a method to return the Mayoi to normal." Liv explained, she held out a hand to Hiro to help pick him up, but he got back up on his own.

"Sorry I asked." The deranged host wasn't sorry at all. "Crush her!"

The Mayoi roared and leapt, but one blast turned them small.

Hiro growled and flicked the Mayoi off of him. Liv then held out her blaster. "I think you need this." Then a car drove to the scene, he recognized it as hers.

Chris and to his utter surprise Karmi got out of the car. "Hey! Big Hero 6!" She waved at them. "We're here to help!"

The car trunk opened to reveal more blasters for them and the whole team.

"It is currently the only option." Baymax stated.

Hiro grabbed his with reluctance. "Thanks." He hated that stupid smug smirk Liv flashed him, it mocked him!

"I'm just gonna wait this out by the car…" Rachel awkwardly shifted closer to Karmi, flinching when Chris shot a smile in her direction.

Baymax took to the skies. Hiro readied his blaster and fired as they flew over the Mayoi.

On the ground, the team and even the Sycorax party was blasting every Mayoi in sight.

Until the one Sparkles was on was the only one left. "It's not over yet!" He growled and the Mayoi charged at Hiro, who dodged.

Hiro kept trying to blast them but the Mayoi zigzagged out of the blast range, with Sparkles cackling like the maniac he was. Hiro tried firing again but then realized he was out of ammo.

"Uh-oh." He was sitting like a duck as the Mayoi leapt at them. "Shoulder throw." Hiro commanded, and Sparkles shrieked as Baymax tossed the Mayoi into the sky.

"Super jump!" Fred blasted it straight in the tummy.

"This is not how I saw this going!" Sparkles yelped as he fell to the streets, the shrunken Mayoi broke his fall as they all carried him.

Baymax flew back to the ground. "They are cute again."

"Yeah, real cute."

"I find your sarcasm hurtful." Sparkles told Hiro, he gestured with his thumb and the Mayoi carried him out of there. "Have a great weekend, everybody! Non sequitur. Look it up!"

"Hey!" Hiro was about to pursue the deranged host, but Minty hopped onto his face, blocking his viewpoint.

"I'll be back with even more masterful monster mash-ups. Alliteration. Try it!" Sparkles then made his escape.

"Get off!" Hiro tugged Minty off.

"Mayoi. Mayoi. Mayoi!" He bounced off Baymax and Honey Lemon's faces before running after Sparkles.

"He said 'bye bye Mom.'" Katie translated.

"My son has betrayed me… again." Honey Lemon mumbled to herself. Gogo skated up to her.

"It'll be okay." Gogo hugged her. But then the superheroes turned around.

A crowd had formed around the Sycorax team. "Yay! Liv! Liv! Liv! Liv! Liv! Liv!" They were cheering for her. "Liv! Liv! Liv!"

Hiro just glared in anger. "I feel you." Rachel whispered to him. "I… I can't say anything else, but don't trust her."

"Thanks." He whispered back, seeing how she was still in shock from being thrown off. "Stay safe you two."

Liv scarred her so much to keep her and Katie silent. I promise for you both I'll get to the bottom of this.

"Thank you! Helping, it's what I do." Liv waved to the crowd.

Hiro shot a look of concern to Karmi. The biotech major was in more danger, right in the clutches of the true mastermind, but she didn't know it.

He feared what'd happen to her if Liv knew who he was, would she use Karmi against him? Probably, but he didn't want to see her ending up like Orso Knox or High Voltage, turned into a vicious monster against her will.

I promise to you Karms, I'll keep you safe from her… even if it ends up with me getting mutated in the end.

Fredzilla: Yesss free food!

Sienna Kline: Fred, you're rich

Fredzilla: Eat the rich!

Mikan Ferns: That's not how the saying goes but I appreciate the effort

Fredzilla: My family makes sures that we use our money to help those in need, I understand what the saying is and I understand why it's used.

Rachel Rosemary: The one percenter we need but do not deserve

"In conclusion, we are very lucky to have Liv Amara in our fair city." Baymax shut off the report playing on his screen.

"Since Mr. Sparkles took credit for the monsters," Honey Lemon stated, "everyone thinks Liv is a-"

"Hiro, you appear agitated." Baymax noted.

"Yeah, because SOMEone-" He glared at Wasabi. "Still doesn't believe me!"

"He has a point." Gogo stated. "We're all sorry for not believing Hiro about the Mayoi, c'mon Roger. Is it really that far-fetched to suspect Liv?"

"Yes." Wasabi crossed his arms. "My boyfriend works at Sycorax if you haven't noticed!"

"Karms and Mikan work at Sycorax too." Hiro added. "It's just upper management that's bad."

"Which Chris is a part of!"

"We're not saying Chris is involved." Fred told him. "He probably isn't."

"Well…" Wasabi sighed. "You're right, I just… he was really upset when I talked about this with him, I don't wanna make him that upset ever again."

"It's okay." Honey Lemon patted his shoulder. "We understand."

"Wasabi." Baymax blinked. "I have used my data to create an image of something cute. Perhaps it will soothe you." But the thing on his screen was the opposite of cute.

They all winced. "Thanks, Baymax." Hiro cringed. "That's… very special."

Baymax didn't note their tone of voice. "Yes, he is a good boy. Good boy! Look at his big eyes, pudgy waist, and fuzzy-wuzzy little feet."

"Baymax's first OC, I'm so proud." Fred chuckled.

"On another topic…" Wasabi turned to the group. "There's no way Sparkles could've been behind this."

"Liv showing up as the 'surprise hero?' Uhg. Typical villain fake-out."

"She's good." Gogo noted.

"Yeah." Hiro added, no one had believed him at first, not even his sister, not even Karmi.

The Fern kids tried to understand his point of view, but he didn't dare get them involved, or Megan who shared the same line of suspicion as him. This was his problem, and as a member of Big Hero 6, he'd stop Liv. "But what's her endgame?"

Whatever it was… it wasn't good.

Meanwhile, in the darkest part of Sycorax. Liv entered a room, the lights going on as she entered.

Until she stopped at the giant chamber she often monitored.

She was stuck at a dead-end, the monsters were useful in getting her so far, but progress had been slow.

Sparkles had been useful in throwing the heat off of her, but she had to act more quietly, some eyes would still be on her despite the successful performance.

Liv placed a hand on the glass, staring into the chamber. She had to succeed, there was no room for failure.

"I won't let you down."

AN: the end of Something Fluffy, boy this ep was an emotional rollarcoaster, my poor children ;-;

So I've been making changes, so I went back and spaced out the past TOH chapters to make it easier for people to reread and read! And if you hadn't noticed (if you're one of my AO3 readers), I updated the cover for TOH so it looks more nicer and I think it fits better n.n

Now to talk about the contents of the chapter...

-My poor girls, Rachel and Katie will get a break for a bit, I swear

-Hiro being a drama llama like usual, but he is very concerned about Karmi, even if he's mad/upset she doesn't believe him, he's worried she'll get hurt considering he doesn't like "Liv's" treatment of her. I don't blame him tho, but we all know what happens at the end : ))

-Megan and Hiro: Why is no one else sus about the Mayoi

-The Fern Kids: *off-screen sneezing*

(Yeah they were sus, but they don't want to bring attention by voicing said suspicions, esp considering Mikan works at Syocrax... they don't want to risk anything bad happening to her)

That's all I have to say, next time will be a lil bit of a break since the next few chapters won't revolve around the monster plot, gotta love that!

QOTW: Would you own a Mayoi IRL even if they grew big or not?
