"So." Wasabi tapped his visor. "What's the plan?" The gang was on night patrol, looking for the werewolf.

"We'll catch it!" Fred exclaimed. "And beat up Mikan until she turns back to normal."

"I would prefer not to!"

"I think we could try talking to her." Honey Lemon suggested. "Monster or not, she's still our friend."

"Honey Lemon's right." Hiro nodded. "I was able to somewhat get through to Knox, so we can get through to Mikan."

"If she's the werewolf." Gogo argued. "We still don't know if it's her."

"There's a lot of evidence." Her girlfriend placed a hand on her shoulder. "I… if she's the werewolf, I don't want to hurt her."

"I know Honey, I know."

Baymax blinked. "The werewolf is heading in our direction."

"What?!" Fred jumped, preparing a battle stance. The others readied themselves as they heard stomping, then a blur leapt over them.

"There she is!" Gogo skated and tossed a disk at the blur, it howled in pain.

"Awhoooo!" Yellow eyes glared at them as a dark-furred canine tossed Gogo at the others.

"I got you!" Honey Lemon jumped and scooped her up before she hit the ground. "About time I picked you up for all the times you picked me up."

"S-shush." Gogo blushed, turning her visor's opacity higher so her girlfriend couldn't see it.

"I told you guys, werewolf!" Hiro pointed at their foe. A large wolf that was around the size of Knox's mutated form, it was too dark to pick out the finer details, but the werewolf definitely had dark fur.

"We don't want to fight you." Wasabi flinched. "But you can't scare people." He held out a hand. "C'mon, let's talk about this."

The werewolf just knocked him into a nearby dumpster, Wasabi screamed as he crash landed into the garbage.

"Oof." Hiro winced in sympathy, he knew how it felt landing into garbage. "Rocket fist!" Baymax fired a fist at the werewolf, it hit it square in the jaw.

The werewolf howled in pain, then it's eyes locked onto Fred. "Mika, don't do this!" He pleaded. That made it angrier as it leaped at him. "Aaah!" He quickly super-jumped away from the charging monster, and roared fire onto it's back.

Having enough, the werewolf leapt onto the closest building and retreated.

"I'll go after her!" Hiro and Baymax took off after the trail, while the rest licked their wounds.

"Wasabi, are you okay?" Gogo and Honey Lemon picked up out of the trash, the latter wrinkled her nose. "Uch, you might wanna take a long shower."

"I know." He whined. "I'm gonna have to scrub my gear too, so gross!"

"Well, think of the bright side!" Fred bounced over to them. "Werewolves have a strong smell, so Mika won't attack you." He then paused. "She reacted when I called her 'Mika.'"

"Because she gets upset if anyone except her siblings call her that!" Honey Lemon's voice reached a higher-pitched voice. "Oh no, Mikan really is the werewolf!"

Gogo popped her bubblegum. "You can say that again."

"Oh no, Mikan's the werewolf."

"I was being rhetorical, Wasabi."

The fire breath attack had singed Mikan's fur, Hiro winced at the damage as he flew over her retreating form. "Baymax, we have to stop Mikan from hurting any civilians."

"Correct. She may attack someone due to not being in control." The robot agreed. "I am detecting Noodle Burger Boy and Trina also following Mikan."

He groaned. "Of all times…" Hiro cracked his knuckles. "Change of plans, Mikan's probably retreating. Baymax, go after Trina and Noodle Burger Boy, they can't attack our friend."

"I understand. Changing course." Baymax turned the other direction, away from the retreating werewolf. Hiro saw the faint outline of Trina's mech suit from the streets, and dived.

NBB saw them first. "Big sis! The Big Hero 6 misters are serving up a combo order!"

"Combo what?" Then reacted too slowly as Baymax tackled her, knocking Trina across the street. "Uhg! Hamada!"

"We won't let you hurt Mikan." Hiro told her. "Your grudge is against me, not her."

"See big sis, even this mister agrees." NBB pointed to him, for some reason. "Let's drop our order and do some home cooking instead."

Trina just groaned. "Noodle, what side are you supposed to be on?"

"Sorry sis." His eyes glowed red as he fired a laser at Baymax. "Time to fry your bun!"

"Not today!" Hiro tossed one of his magnets, which pulled NBB into a wall.

"Ow!" He then felt a claw smack him off of Baymax.

"Hiro." Then Trina smacked Baymax, and the robot teen loomed over him.

"You and that little traitor are the reason my father's gone!" She snarled. "If you don't stop getting in my hair Hamada, I'll give you something to worry about." To his surprise, Trina and NBB retreated into an alleyway.

"Hiro, are you alright?" Baymax waddled up to him as he clutched his sides.

"Yeah." He got up. "But I'm not sure if Mikan is."

Superhero Squad group chat:

Ariel: I don't think you guys should confront Mikan at school

Speed Queen: Why not?

Ariel: It could go wrong

Chop Chop: She has a point. Mikan might not remember what she does while a werewolf and we could scare her

Flame Jumper: And then she turns in front of us and causes panic!

Captain Cutie: Let's not jump to that conclusion lol

Chem Girl: I was chatting with her a bit ago, she seemed fine. I don't think she'll randomly turn into a werewolf at school.

Chem Girl: But I find it weird how we've been seeing a werewolf outside a full moon

Chop Chop: Oh, right. People only become werewolves during a full moon, and the past few days weren't close to full

Ariel: It's reality, some details are probably smudged.

Flame Jumper: I'm bringing a lot of silver, I doubt that detail is "smudged."

Chem Girl: Middle school me is starting to come back from the dead and she is not happy

Speed Queen: You not being happy? Who are you and what have you done with my girlfriend?

"I think that amount of silver rings is enough, Fred."

"Oh, come on, Wasabi!" The comic fan had a silver ring on each of his hands. "I'm gonna shake Mikan's hand, and if she reacts, it proves my point."

"I think her reacting to being called 'Mika' is evidence enough." Wasabi pointed out.

"What's evidence enough?" Both men froze as Sara addressed them.

"H-hi Sara!" Fred stammered. "Fancy seeing you here!"

"I go to school here." She flashed a deadpan stare. "Why are you guys acting weird?"

"Nothing!" Wasabi yelped. "Just nothing!"

Sara flinch, was his response too harsh? "Better leave you two alone then, sorry."

She tried walking away, but Wasabi called out to her. "Wait, Sara, are you doing okay? You've been really distant lately." He could tell something was bringing her down, but for some reason, she wasn't talking to him.

That was what concerned him, they used to talk about what was bothering each other all the time and try to give support, so seeing Sara grow distant was concerning.

Sara glanced away. "I'm fine, it's just been hard at home, y'know."

Wasabi frowned. "You know, you can talk to me about it-"

"Bye Wasabi!" She ran off before he could get another word in.

Fred shook his head at the scene. "You don't know how to talk to girls, Wasabi my man."

"Hey!" He protested. "I just don't know what that was about, Sara's been acting really weird around me, I'm really worried about her."

The comic fan's pondering look made him even more worried. "Hmm… I shouldn't get involved, but wow. Did not expect you to be that dense."

"What am I even dense about?!"

"Oh, you'll find out."

Wasabi shook his head at Fred, he'd worry about Sara another day, they had another Fern kid to be concerned about.

Sara groaned as she got to door of her lab. "Stupid feelings..."

"What are you complaining about now?" Mikan was casually chilling in one of the lab's chairs.

"My dumb crush." She rolled her eyes. "But how are you?"

"Not good." Mikan glanced away. "I overheard what the nerd gang's been chattering about."

Sara perked up. "You did?"

"They said that they saw some kind of werewolf monster." Mikan sighed. "And I think it's my fault."

Her brown eyes widened. "Mikan, maybe it's just related to Sparkles, it can't be you."

"Well, three people know about the serum, and one of them's not here anymore." Her older sister's gaze darkened. "And the other… well she'd probably deal with the monster maker if it gave her an upgrade."

"Mika I love you but please don't use the word upgrade." Sara groaned. "It's ruined for me now."

Mikan bowed her head sheepishly. "Sorry, but I have to do something about this."

"No one's stopping you?" Sara frowned.

Her eyes widened in realization. Her sister was right, she couldn't just sit by the sidelines and let the heroes handle it, she could do something good for once. "You're right, I can do something. I can stop whatever's going on."

"Glad you feel better Mika." Sara chuckled. "Just be careful on your quest, David and I would be devastated if anything bad happened."

"I'll try!" Mikan nodded.

As soon as school was over, Mikan was a man on a mission. Well, technically a woman on a mission. She entered the Lucky Cat cafe, but Hiro wasn't there, which was a bummer.

"Hi, Mikan!" Ari flagged her down. "You grabbing a coffee?"

"Nope." She shook her head. "I need to speak with you."

The sweater girl tilted her head. "Oh, sure." They walked into a seperate room. "What did you want to talk about?"

"First of all, if this is something I'm not supposed to know, you don't have to tell me." Mikan said as a disclaimer, she didn't want to get Ari in trouble with her brother in terms of sharing superhero information. "This is related to the whole Big Hero 6 thing."

"Ohhh." Ari nodded, growing serious. "It's okay, just tell me what you need to know."

"Thanks Ari, now did Hiro ever talk about what he found at my pop's base?"

Ari pondered the question. "Some science stuff, when he looked at the sunken wreckage, it was all trashed." After the star incident, she had gone with Hiro a few times to look for Obake. But she hadn't gone with him when he went to the wreckage of the base.

"Can you tell me more about the science stuff?"

She shrugged. "I didn't ask, but Hiro made sure to trash any evidence of his plan with the star, so it doesn't ever happen again."

"Yeah, good idea for him to do." She wasn't surprised Hiro did that. So Hiro wouldn't know about the serum… hm, good to know.

"Was that all?"

"Yeah." Mikan glanced around the cafe, making sure no one was overhearing. "Listen, there's something you gotta tell your brother."

"Okay." Ari nodded. "What is it?"

Mikan leaned closer to whisper. "A few years ago, I made this serum that was supposed to enhance someone's natural strength, but something went wrong, probably because I used wolf DNA as an ingredient. My dad and sister knew about it, and I think Trina is why there's been a werewolf sighting."

"How do you know about-"

"Your brother and friends should stop discussing their business in school." Mikan explained. "I've got to go now, make sure this gets to Hiro." As she left, Ari turned around.

"Did you hear that?"

Hiro came running down the stairs. "Yeah! I told you, Mikan's involved with the werewolf."

"No, the serum thing." Ari sighed. "Mikan thinks it's her sister, but that doesn't seem like a Trina thing… so maybe Sparkles has it!"

Her brother groaned. "Oh, Ari…"

But hearing Mikan knew about the werewolf was interesting, maybe she wasn't connected to it after-all?

Or maybe... she didn't know if she was the werewolf or not. That was scary to think about, and Hiro knew that Mikan would be upset if she was the monster all along.

Well, I guess we'll find out what's really going on after tonight.

Later that night...

"I don't see Mikan anywhere."

"Yeah, me neither!"

"Nowhere near the Noodle Burger!"

Hiro sighed. "Fred, please tell me you didn't go to the Noodle Burger just to get a free meal geared up."

He heard a crunch. "Maybe?"

"Freddie, no." They were all split up in San Fransokyo to look for Mikan before the robotic siblings could get their hands on her. Their current plan was just to "knock her out and bring her to SFIT" so they could work on a solution.

"Nothing on my end." Wasabi reported. "Except this guy tried robbing my car."

"And how did that go?" Gogo asked him.

"He's currently icing his jaw at the police station."

Fred chuckled. "Wow, cold!"

"I didn't punch him. He just failed the landing."

I just want this thing over with so I could go to sleep. Hiro thought. "Baymax, can you scan for her?"

"Scanning…" Baymax whirred. "Oh, no."

He paled. "What's the 'oh, no' for?!"

"Trina and Noodle Burger Boy found her first."

He had Baymax fly as fast as possible to the neighborhood where the Fern kids were. Gogo was already there throwing disks at NBB. "Take this!" She threw a disk that got deflected by a laser eye.

"Hee-hee! Here's a combo order!" NBB's next laser eye attack knocked Gogo into the air.

Baymax was luckily able to catch her. "I have got you."

"Thanks Baymax." She sighed.

"Where's Trina?" Hiro asked her. Gogo pointed across the street, where Trina was trying to pin the werewolf. Mikan. He quickly got off of Baymax and ran over, throwing one of his magnets.

Trina saw what he was doing and crushed the magnet before it landed. "Nice try!" She sneered. "I'm not letting you interrupt my revenge plan against this traitor!" She gestured to Mikan, who snarled in her grip.

"Please, let her go!" Hiro told her. "Mikan's just trying to move on. You can move on too Trina! Don't let Obake control your l-" She slammed him into the wall.

"Shut up!" Trina snarled, then threw Mikan onto the floor. "Getting rid of her wouldn't be enough punishment…" She looked down the street where the Fern household was. "So how about I try to give her a taste of her own medicine?"

Hiro felt his blood turn cold. She's gonna try to-

"Not on my watch!" Gogo shouted at her. "You're not harming any of the Ferns."

Trina just smirked. "Oh, I dare." But before she could go down the street, something hit the back of the glass dome, slightly cracking the class. "Who-" Then someone broke the glass and punched her in the face.

"That's for threatening my family!" It was-

"Mikan!?" Hiro and Gogo gasped.

She just faced Hiro and grinned. "Yep, that's me."

"Aren't you supposed to be- what the?!" He saw the werewolf still knocked onto the ground and Mikan in front of him. "I thought you were the werewolf!"

"Clearly I'm not, as you can tell." She rolled her eyes.

"It appears that the werewolf has something that is blocking my scan." Baymax waddled up to them. "So I could not provide all the necessary details."

Hiro groaned. "You have gotta be kidding me..." A scan jammer? How could the werewolf had gotten one?

"Trina and Noodle Burger Boy are now escaping." He pointed behind them.

"Toodle noodle!" NBB waved as Trina stomped down the streets, thankfully not going after the Fern household.

Gogo skated to them. "Want me to go after her?"

"Nah." He shook his head, they could go after the robotic duo another day, and he didn't want his friend to get hurt chasing them. He turned to the werewolf. "Let's try finding out who this really is."

"I got it!" Mikan pulled out a syringe with a strange liquid. "I came up with a quick cure. I had to guess a bit since it's not my serum."

"Your serum?"

"I'll explain later." She walked up to the werewolf and was about to inject the liquid when he got up and struck her back. "Aaaahhh!" She dropped the syringe and it broke.

"Mikan!" Hiro ran up to her, expecting the werewolf to attack further. But it just huffed hot air and retreated.

"We'll deal with him when he shows up again." Gogo told him. "But first… answers."

"Shall we wait for the others?"

"Yeah. I don't wanna explain it twice." Mikan sighed. "Also… can I have medical aid?" She placed her hand to her side, where the werewolf had struck her. "Ow..."

"Yes."

After the gang regrouped at Gogo and Honey Lemon's apartment, they quickly got a summary of what went down. "I can't believe Trina was going to hurt the Ferns." Wasabi had a look of horror on his face.

"Eh, I doubt she was going to murder them or anything." Mikan waved it off. "Trina just says stuff to be scary."

"I hope you're right… I don't want to imagine what would happen if we didn't show up." Honey Lemon winced.

"Why did you think I was the werewolf?" Mikan asked them.

"Well… you do work at Sycorax, aka Liv's company and she's behind the monsters." Hiro spoke first.

"And you've been up late the same time the werewolf shows up." Honey Lemon nodded.

"And! You work with animal DNA!" Fred exclaimed.

"Okay. Fair." She held up her hands. "But at least I'm careful when working with DNA."

"Is it because of your incident years ago?"

She gawked at Hiro. "How do you know about that?!"

"Obake brought it up." He awkwardly replied. "What happened?"

Mikan groaned. "I was a dumb kid! Thirteen year-old me thought I was the greatest gift to the inventing world so I decided to try making a serum that could improve a person's physical strength without any negative consequences on them in the long-run."

"That sounds cool." Wasabi told her.

"Problem was, the key ingredient was wolf DNA and I didn't do any pre-tests before injecting myself with it."

"Ouch." Honey Lemon winced in sympathy. "And I thought that time I blew up my family's kitchen with a chemistry kit was embarrassing."

"I remember you telling me that." Wasabi turned to her. "Your mom showed me a picture."

"I wish she didn't take pictures…"

Mikan cleared her throat. "Oh, sorry, continue." Both of them sheepishly blushed, feeling embarrassed they interrupted her story.

"Anyways, it obviously backfired. You can guess what happened next." Mikan rubbed the back of her head. "I kind-of turned into a werewolf and was stuck as one for a few weeks."

"You know, a person turning into a mutant from their own invention or a bad accident is more common than you think." Fred hummed. "What happened next?"

"Uh… I went on a rampage and ran away from home. It's really blurry so I think I just wandered around the city until I managed to turn back into a human, around the Ferns house. Talk about an awkward way of meeting someone." She sighed. "I didn't know where Pops was, so I stayed there for a while while I was working on a cure."

"You were still stuck as a werewolf?" Hiro questioned.

"I still am."

There was a deep, heavy silence as they all gasped and stared at Mikan with wide eyes.

"Kidding!" She howled with laughter. "Oh my god you should see your faces!"

"I do not understand the joke." Baymax blinked.

"I'm gonna kill you for that." Gogo buried her face into her palms. "Why, why would you do that?"

Mikan shrugged. "Hey, had to lighten the mood somehow! But I'll stop."

She then continued with her story. "Steven and Sally were so… nice to me, even after they found out what I was. And David and Sara actually helped me in making the cure. By the time I turned back to normal… well semi, there were some side-effects from having wolf DNA in your veins for a few weeks."

"I'm not a biotech major, but even I know that." Hiro commented.

"Yeah, so when my dad found me again. He actually said I could stay over if I liked, and I did. Sometimes I stayed over there, sometimes I stayed at my dad's. Probably because he and Sally were SFIT students together." Mikan gestured. "Past history, y'know."

The nerd gang frowned, even if Obake did try to harm the city, he used to be a good friend to their professor... it was sad to think about what happened to him in the end.

"And that's it, I was really worried Trina gave that serum to maybe-Liv and someone innocent was turned into a monster because of me. So I'm glad I'm wrong for once!" Mikan sighed. "Last thing the city needs is more problems."

"Yeah, Trina thought it was you, so that just made us believe it." Hiro rubbed the back of his neck.

"Even if your theory is correct, it wouldn't be your fault." Wasabi told her. "You wouldn't have mutated someone against their will, it would've been the monster maker's fault."

Gogo pointed to him in agreement. "He's right."

Mikan sighed. "I just wish Trina would stop being evil and holding a grudge against you guys. Pops was trying to blow up the city and make it into his own image. You did what you had to do, Baymax even tried saving him, for crying out loud!"

The healthcare companion bowed his head down. "Obake was very adamant about staying despite the danger. I had attempted to convince him otherwise, but he said that he was satisfied with his care." He blinked. "I regret not persuading him to leave, but Hiro and Fred were in danger at the time."

"Not mad at you buddy." Hiro hugged him. "You can only help those who want to be helped."

"Yeah, what Hiro said." Mikan got up and hugged the robot. "Hope this doesn't make it awkward for you guys considering my role during the whole thing."

"It's water under the bridge, you're getting better!" Honey Lemon told her. "We're glad you weren't the werewolf… I was worried we'd have to seriously harm you to protect the city."

"If that did happen, I wouldn't hold it against you."

"Don't make me think of it!"

Mikan chuckled. "Sorry... guess I'm never good at jokes, huh?"

Hiro shook his head. "No, no you are not." But at least she tried to lighten their spirits. "Just try to be careful, okay Mikan?" He was already worried about Karmi, he didn't want to think something bad could happen to another one of his friends as well.

She flashed him a thumbs up. "No problem I won't let any mystery wolf bring me down!"

"That does make me wonder..." Wasabi pondered aloud. "If you weren't the werewolf, who was?"

The mysterious werewolf himself stumbled into a dark lab, the green lighting showing his golden-brown fur clear, his yellow eyes tired and irritated.

"So, I take it you ran into Big Hero 6?" Liv greeted him.

"And some robots, the heroes, who thought I was someone else." He sighed. "I'd rather not go into details, I seem to have caused some family drama, I think."

He wasn't paying attention, mostly because he had his head buried into concrete for most of that conversation.

"You sound like you hit your head."

"I did, that's why it's so fuzzy." Bones crunched as he shifted into his human form. "I was barely able to escape before they injected me with a cure." Chris rubbed his arm. "I hope I was able to help you gather enough data."

"You did." Liv smiled. "We're one step closer to our goal, however don't slip up again." She didn't want her favorite pet to be caught, it could give their scheme away.

Chris nodded. "Right." At least he got all the supplies she needed.

Supplies needed for their plans...

"It's lucky that you're such an asset, helping me run Sycorax." She rambled. "Perhaps I should just have my pets do the muscle work from now on, that stunt in Muirahara was too risky."

"Better them than me." He rolled his eyes. "Shall we get back to work?"

Liv's eyes darkened. "We shall."

AN: And that's the end of the werewolf ep!

So yeah, that's the story of it. Mikan was a dumb teen who experimented on herself, accidentally turned into the bh6 equivalent of a werewolf bc of how unstable the mutation was, and ended up staying at the Ferns while working on a cure!

It was fun to write about at least, and hoped you guys enjoyed seeing Trina and NBB more involved, they'll def have more screentime than in canon, but until then we'll be going back to the monster arc.

Well... after the next few chapters! Cuz next week will be going back to canon eps!

QOTW: What's your favorite horror game?
