"Previously-"

*groan* "Here we go again…"

"Rach! That was rude!"

"Sorry your highness if I'm a little annoyed considering what part we're on."

"Mood. Anyways, to take on all the monsters, Hiro made us new gear!"

"Meanwhile, Karmi was working on a mystery cure from Sycorax, and figured out a key was robotics. So she turned to no one else but her pal Hiro for help!"

"Team up time! Then there was a big monster attack-"

"There were three villains, Fred, three! And you beat them really fast too."

"...Fair. We got to use our new toys! Hiro and Karmi had a big breakthrough, but then…" *gasp*

"Liv turned on her, and now she's a monster. Show of hands who saw this coming."

"Your calmness during this scares me, Rachel, it does"

"Sorry, I'm trying not to freak out because she did SOMETHING to Ari!"

"That's right! What did 'Liv' do to our girls? Will we defeat her wicked schemes in this chapter?"

"Yes."

"Oh my gosh, can you stop!? Anyways, find out in the dramatic high action climax of monster attacks in this chapter of Heroes of Flowers."

"You do realize we have to narrate part 3, right?"

"Don't remind me!"

The full moon was sitting up top in the night sky as the gang arrived on SFIT's grounds, they could see broken rubble, signs of a fight.

"Is that…?" Wasabi pointed to a reddish stain on the grass. "I hope that's not Hiro's…"

Honey Lemon hoped the same. "We have to find him!" As they searched the ground, that's when they realized that the pieces of metal laying about weren't from the debris, but they were scattered pieces of Baymax's ultra armor.

"We're too late." Gogo lifted up Baymax's helmet.

The chemist gasped in horror. "Oh no!"

"That's not even the worst part!" Fred bounced over to the group, holding something in his suit's claws. "I was looking through the grass and I found this!" He held up a light blue rosemary pin.

They knew who that pin belonged to. "Liv got Ari too." Wasabi's gaze darkened. "What are we gonna do?"

Gogo glanced up, in the direction where a building that her idol ran, but instead of helping people, it was used for evil. "We're going to the monster factory."

Something was poking his chest, Hiro wearily opened his eyes and saw concerned blue eyes staring down at him. "Hiro! You're awake!"

"A-Ari?" He stammered. He shifted up, feeling a pain in his nose, and a fuzzy feeling wrapped around his head. "Ari, where are we-"

"Sycorax." That wasn't her, they saw Liv looming over them. And her newest monster, the one who had been their friend. Memories came back to him like a painful flood crashing down on his chest. "Oh, don't act so shocked. You've been a thorn in my side for ages, Hiro Hamada."

He merely glared in response. "You're a monster!" He would've thrown hands were it not for Ari holding him back. "How dare you do that to Karms, she trusted you!" Then it hit him. Ari was here "You kidnapped my sister?! Where's Baymax?!"

"Hiro." Baymax waddled up to him, which was a surprise since Bessie was draining the energy out of the robot last he checked. Liv must've refilled his batteries while I was knocked out.

Ari slumped by him. "I'm sorry Hiro… I didn't listen to the others, so I tried to help." He felt his anger boil more as he saw there were reddish stains on her sweater. What did Liv do to my sister?! "I don't remember anything else."

He could tell she was lying, but prodding for details wouldn't help them. "It's not your fault, Ari." Baymax scooped them into a comforting hug. "It's hers."

Liv raised an eyebrow. "That's a rude thing to say to someone."

"Shut up!"

His sister placed a hand on his shoulder. "The gang is gonna come for us, we won't be stuck here much longer… I hope."

"I hope so too." Hiro murmured. The sooner they defeated Liv and got Karmi back to normal, the better.

They arrived at Sycorax and stopped by the entrance, getting into a group huddle. "Okay. Let's go over the plan." Gogo stated. "I'll be the distraction, then once Liv sends her monsters out to get me..."

Then Fred spoke next. "The rest of us will super jump!"

"Or chem-boot our way on top of the building." Honey Lemon nodded, she did have a ball ready to help Wasabi get up too.

The physics major readied his plasma blade. "Then I'll cut a hole in the roof."

"And I'll throw a slide-"

But then a different voice cut the chemist off. "Great plan!" Chris has snuck into the huddle. "Go on three?"

All of them screamed and leaped back. "Sorry." The assistant chuckled. "It just sounded so exciting."

Fred was the first to bounce back onto his feet. "Give us back our friends!"

"Or there will be consequences." Gogo readied a disk, preparing to toss it at him if need be.

But Chris shook off the threat. "Sounds good. Let's go talk inside." He gestured to the door. "I made red velvet cupcakes!"

Wasabi had this feeling of dread in his gut, the smiling face of his boyfriend had a strange eerie feeling to it. "I don't like this."

"Me neither." Fred agreed. "But I can't resist cupcakes."

"You and me both."

The smiling assistant had a plate of cupcakes by the desk. "Oh and by the way." His gaze darkened as he stared at Wasabi. "I know it's you Roger, Liv and I know who you guys really are now." They all froze.

"How?!" Fred exclaimed.

He smirked. "A little birdie, or should I say cat told us."

They all knew who he was referencing there. "Momakase…" Honey Lemon's gaze narrowed.

"Chris, you're not siding with her, are you?" Wasabi stared at him with worry.

The assistant merely chuckled at him. "Oh you thought that I'd betray Liv?" Wasabi felt his heart shatter at that moment. "Don't get me wrong Roger, I really do like you, but not enough to choose you over Liv."

"So Liv is behind the monsters!" Gogo accused.

"Yes indeed, but I'm sure Roger here will get over it."

Get over it?! How could Chris, the man he thought was his loving boyfriend, say something so callous?

Honey Lemon voiced his thoughts. "How could you say that to him?!"

Chris ignored her. "You know what was funny? Seeing the look on Sara's face when she saw us together." The others glanced at each other in confusion, but he continued. "She had such a sappy crush on you, it must've been so sad for her to see her crush with someone else…"

"Is that why you only got with me?!" Wasabi exclaimed. "To mess with me and my friends?!"

"Hmm no, but it was entertaining."

Wasabi couldn't respond to that, he just felt himself collapse, were it not for Honey Lemon and Fred, he would've fallen onto the ground.

"You'll pay for hurting our friend!" Fred glared daggers at Chris.

The assistant laughed at that. " I'd be worried about your little friends if I were y-" Gogo grabbed him by the shirt, cutting him off.

"Take us to Liv, now." She demanded.

The calm expression on his face was disturbing. "No, Liv's busy." He grinned, clicking the monitor next to him on. "And you're going to be super busy too!" They gasped in horror at what was shown on the screen.

"High Voltage are in Fishtown!"

"There's Sparkles on Fulton Street."

"And Momakase in Good Luck Alley too! They're all over the city!" Even Knox and Bessie were both tearing it up on Night Market Square.

"Oh no." Honey Lemon gasped with horror, if they didn't make it soon… San Fransokyo would be torn apart, and who knows if any one would- They glared at Chris with a burning hatred, hotter than a thousand suns.

"You win this round, Chrissistant." Gogo scowled. "But we'll be back."

'Sure you will."

The two siblings stared in horror as the gang had no choice but to leave Sycorax. "Of course she planned for this." Ari muttered under her breath.

Liv paused the screen and turned to them. "Your friends are going to be gone awhile. Let's get started."

Their friend turned mutant was hissing at their faces. "I'll never help you." Hiro glared at the witch. Not after what you did to Karms.

"Me neither." Ari stuck her tongue out.

"Really?" She grinned. "They're not going to last much longer without you and the airbag." Liv poked the robot's vinyl belly.

"I am Baymax." He corrected her.

"You're wrong, lady!" Ari exclaimed.

She raised an eyebrow. "Without your brother's brains and the bot's muscles they're…" The witch snapped her fingers, a drone delivered a hunk of processed beef that Karmi devoured in an instant, then she grabbed the drone and chewed its wires out. "Dead meat."

They glared at her. "Do what I ask and I'll call off the monsters. Oh, and Karmi goes back to being Karmi. All it takes is a swipe on my phone." She said in a sing-song tone, dangling the phone like a carrot.

"And what is it you need me to do?" Hiro demanded.

Liv placed a hand on the chamber behind her, it flickered and revealed a woman that had her exact same face. "Save Liv Amara."

As for the others, they had gotten close to the main city, now was the hard part. "Who is gonna fight who?" Honey Lemon questioned.

"Ooh, ooh ooh!" Fred raised his hand. "Mini-Max and I will handle Knox and Bessie, it'll be a 2v2! And I can leap out of the way from Bessie's breath attacks!"

"Kay." Gogo nodded. "I can handle Momakase."

"No you're not!" Her girlfriend glared. "She hurt you bad last time, I'll get her!"

"Honey, no."

"The bunny armor keeps me safe from her claws, trust me on this."

She grumbled, but the chemist had a point. "Fine, promise to be careful."

"I will be." They shared a quick kiss, but then turned to their other teammate, who still had a sad expression. "You okay Wasabi?"

"I'm fine." Wasabi wasn't.

He did just get dumped by his boyfriend who was working with the monster mastermind and was just toying with his emotions… But he just wanted the city to be safe before processing the betrayal. "Honestly, I can go for High Voltage."

"Are you sure?" Gogo raised an eyebrow. "I can handle them."

"The plasma shields can block their electricity." He gestured to said shields. "Sides, that leaves Sparkles."

Gogo processed that, then grinned. "Oh, yeah. I'm gonna destroy him." She then got on her hoverboard. "Good luck gang, let's get this bread."

Fred started wheezing and sputtering. "Gogo, did you just meme right now?!"

"Some of us need a coping mechanism for tonight!"

As Fred hopped between rooftops, he saw Bessie knocking out skyscraper lights. He grinned seeing a small blue robot flying to him. "Alright, Mini-Max!" They fist-bumped. "Welcome to the party, bud!"

"I would never miss an opportunity to punch villainy in the buttocks!" Mini-Max declared.

"Hmm… usually one kicks butt." He pointed out.

"Not Mini-Max!" The small robot exclaimed. "I punch butt! For justice!"

"Okay. Make it your own. I like it." They then leapt to the scene of action to stop Knox and Bessie from causing more chaos.

As for Gogo, she didn't have to look very far for Sparkles and his army of Mayoi. She saw a bunch of people screaming and running out of a restaurant. "There's a deranged man-child in there!" One of them yelled past her.

"Why am I not surprised?" She hovered in, seeing the deranged show host harassing a poor waiter. "Sparkles!"

He whipped his head to face here. "I'm glad you could join us for our holiday party!"

She narrowed her eyes, it wasn't anywhere near the winter holidays. "What holiday?"

He stretched his bow tie. "Pranksgiving, of course!" The green glow made the Mayoi stop licking bowls of food and lunge at her. "Happy Pranksgiving, one and all!" She yelped as they knocked her off her hover disk.

"Back off pests!" Gogo elbowed them to get back on her hover disk and quickly flew out of lunging range, Sparkles growled in anger. "You'll have to do better than that!"

He threw a Mayoi at her face. It just bounced off of her helm.

When getting to Fishtown, Wasabi didn't notice the mutant eels at first. But then he saw the two crouched over something, and the sound of bones crunched. He screamed, thinking it was a dead body, but when the two turned and snarled, it was just fish.

Acting on adrenaline, he held his plasma shield on both hands as High Voltage shot electricity at him. One of them, the one with cerulean scales, hopped in and out of the water and suddenly there was a wet and slimy tongue that latched onto his arm like a frog.

"Ewww! They use their tongues now!?" The saliva was starting to drip onto his arms.

The other one shot a tongue that wrapped his leg and they started reeling him in, Wasabi tried to crawl away but then he screamed as both zapped him.

Quickly thinking, he extended his free arm and elbowed with his plasma dagger. It hit the mint-green one, Barb if he could recall, and she let go and screeched. Juniper then released his hold and he scrambled away. This is gonna be way harder than I thought.

"Okay, okay. You got this." Honey Lemon was telling herself, she rolled into Good Luck Alley, but there was no sign of the werecat. Until a sign fell down.

"You've saved the best for last!" Momakase roared, she lunged at the chemist. She was barely able to get the bunny armor up on time, so the graphene claws barely touched her head.

"I might not be a heavy hitter…" She stated. "But you've got a lot to answer for!" Honey Lemon punched Momakase in the chest.

The mercenary grinned. "So you do have a bit of fight in you." Her fangs curled into an ugly grin. "This should be good!"

Ari and Hiro just stared at Liv in the chamber. "What the hell?" The former shouted.

Her brother touched the glass. "If she's Liv, then who are you?"

"Sorry, not taking questions." The woman they thought was Liv glared at them.

Baymax scanned her. "You and she are genetically identical."

"Hm. Impressive bot."

"You're her twin?" Hiro questioned.

"I'm not sure how that's how identical twins work." Ari frowned. "Baymax?"

"She is a-"

"Clone." The imposter cut the robot off.

The sweater girl gasped. "The real Liv made you? Why?"

"Yeah." Hiro nodded. "Why would Liv clone herself?"

"We're running out of time and I need you focused!" She banged on the glass, realizing she had no choice but to explain the situation to them. "Chris, bring up lab report day 147."

A holographic screen showed up behind them. On the camera was the real Liv. "Immortality Project. Day 147." Hiro was so taken aback he tuned out the banter from Chris and Baymax.

The real Liv was trying to cheat death? Everyone knew it was inevitable, but still, he listened. "I've genetically-engineered these organisms to guard against disease, exponentially increasing life expectancy."

Oh. Well, humans were able to live longer lives as science advanced, Liv seemed to be one of those people.

He did a double-take at the organisms on-screen. "Parasynths…"

"Para-what?" Ari frowned.

"Exactly." The imposter gave a lamentful look at the stasis Liv. "Nobody believed in her project. So Liv tested the parasynths on herself."

"But they mutated."

"The best doctors in the world couldn't save her. She had weeks to live."

The monitor played a different clip, a very weak Liv crawling into the chamber she was presently in. "Day 159-" Liv clutched her chest in pain. "I am preparing… to enter cryo-state. My last, only hope is... radical."

The camera panned to the imposter inside a liquid chamber, wires hooked to her back. "There's only one person I trust to find the cure."

"Herself. Also known as me." The clone faced down at the kids. "I'm Diane. You can call me Di…"

Ari flinched. "Are we going to 'Di' if we don't do what you ask?" At another point in time, Hiro would laugh at that little quip.

Baymax just waved. "Hello, I am Baymax."

"We know." Chris stage-whispered to him.

"I pretended to be Liv." Diane explained. "Nobody knew the difference."

"What does that make Chris?" Hiro gestured to the assistant. "Another clone?"

"Excuse me?!" He huffed. "I was Liv's best friend. I'm willing to do anything to save her life."

"Even kill children like Rachel?!" There was a pause. "It was you who attacked her at Muirahara, wasn't it?"

Chris stayed silent. So Ari then spoke up. "You guys are horrible!" She hissed. "Why did you mutate so many people? Including my friends?!"

"Research is expensive." Diane smirked. "Luckily, I found turning people into monsters very lucrative."

Both of them felt sick to their stomachs. Some of the victims were children like them after-all.

The scar on his sister's face and the new scar on his nose would be a permanent reminder of the damage Diane did to them, and the city.

"I hate you." Ari spoke in a quiet tone. "I hate you so much Di. You hurt my brother, and Karms, she trusted you, you know that?!"

It was the first time he ever heard her use his nickname for Karmi. "Worst of all you… you called abusing the people I love lucrative?! This isn't some type of game, we're real people who are sick and tired of you messing with us! You told me that Juniper, my friend, didn't care about me after what you did to her and Barb! Saving your creator or not, I will never forgive you for what you've done!"

There was a moment of silence, but Hiro started clapping. "Go off all the way, sis!"

The clone just stared, a little surprised by the sudden outburst from the normally quiet girl. "I was created for one purpose, to save Liv Amara." She stated. "And I will stop at nothing to accomplish that goal." She pressed a button on her phone. "If I have to, I will have my monsters raze this city to the ground!"

Karmi slammed down behind the two. She grabbed Ari in one claw and dangled Hiro upside down in the other. "Understood?!" Diane hissed at him, he squeaked, giving a nod. "Good boy." They were then dropped to the ground.

Baymax waddled in front of them, his arms stretched in a protective manner. "Harming my family will not cure Liv." He told Diane. "Do not hurt them."

"As long as they know their place." She glared at him.

"Baymax." Hiro placed a hand to his chest. He felt so… helpless in this situation, but he had to be strong. Not just for his little sister, but for Karms, too.

It was the only way to get her back to her normal, snappy, but bright self.

"You are going to turn her back, right?" Hiro looked up at the ceiling. Karmi had retreated up there and was asleep, hopefully she'd wake up back to normal.

"That's up to you." He and Ari glared at the clone. The plan was that Hiro and Baymax would virtual reality into the nanobots and manually administer the cure, leaving his sister in the lion's den.

"There was no need to abduct us." Baymax pointed out. "I am programmed to help in medical emergencies."

"And I'm programmed to make sure Liv's cured." Diane snapped, she administered the nanobots and the cure into the body. Now Hiro had to put the VR chip on and the headset.

He sighed, turning to Ari. "I don't want to leave you alone with them."

"I know." She shivered. "But… but I'll be brave, getting Karmi back to normal is what matters right now."

"And June, too." Ari looked up at him, surprised he mentioned the crime-dancer. "I promise that I'll make sure that Juniper goes back to normal too, she's your friend after-all." Hiro smiled at her.

She smiled back and pulled him into a hug. "Good luck." Ari told him. "Remember, I can still communicate, you just won't be able to see or feel me."

Hiro nodded. "Let's do this." He placed the VR chip in Baymax's access port, then with a deep breath, placed the VR headset on.

He blinked, and his entire body felt funny. "Woah."

"Woah." Baymax echoed, they were in a crimson tunnel. Hiro looked down and saw he was a microbot now, glowing a light purple. Baymax was glowing a light red color, it was hard to tell, red blobs moved past them. "The blood cells appear normal."

Hiro saw something green. "There's Karmi's cure." He dragged Baymax over and grabbed one canister, Baymax grabbed the other and they placed it on their backs.

Then, he felt something buzzing. "Testing, testing. One, two, three."

"I can hear you Ari."

She squealed. "Oh, good it works! Di and Chris are giving us weird looks. Your movements are funny."

"Hilarious, we grabbed the cure, what now?"

"Uh… one sec. Baymax, do you know where to go?"

"Yes." Baymax led Hiro out of the tunnel into a larger one. "We are in the subclavian vein." He pointed in a direction. "This way to the superior vena cava."

"I heard words but I do not understand them."

"Ari." Hiro groaned. "I would facepalm if my nanobot hands could reach my face." She just laughed, he rolled his eyes and followed Baymax, who was in the lead. They didn't notice the dark blurs behind them, snarling.

"We have arrived at the heart." Baymax stated. They were in a larger area where a part of the heart was pumping oxygen. "Right atrium."

Hiro looked around. "So the parasynths must be-" He froze as creatures with fangs and no eyes circled them.

"Surrounding us."

Meanwhile with the others…

"Guys, this isn't working!" Fred groaned. As he just got thrown onto a building wall and landed on a car. Mini-Max was spinning circles next to him. "We can't beat them on our own."

"Flame Jumper's right!" Wasabi exclaimed, there was screeching on his line. "And I am going to have so many nightmares…"

"Yeah, I'm over this." Gogo added, on her line of the comms Sparkles was muttering something about a picnic, Fred didn't care.

"Fred. We need a plan!" He did care seeing Bessie try to chomp Mini-Max while Knox chased him. Luckily he was able to blind Knox with his headlights, and he headbutted Bessie, she let go of Mini-Max. "I should specify, a plan that works!" The two monsters punched and pushed each other before the bear was the one to chase them.

Fred yelped. "We need a plan, but my plan is to usually ask Hiro for the plan, but Hiro isn't here, which is why we need a plan, but my plan is to ask Hiro-"

Gogo tapped her comm as she surfed over a wave of Mayoi. "He's broken."

"Where's Hiro? Need a plan. Where's Hiro? Need a plan." He was repeating over and over on his side.

As the engineer batted away the furry pests, something dawned on her. "I've got an idea. If we lead our monsters to him and Mini-Max-"

"All the monsters will be in one place!" Her girlfriend exclaimed.

"Sounds good. I do not want to be alone with these two anymore!"

Still, Fred was on loop. "Where's Hiro? Need a plan. Where's Hiro? Need a plan. Where's Hiro? Need a plan." He then paused. "Wait, what are you guys talking about?"

They all groaned.

As the parasynths growled, Ari buzzed the comms on. "Reminder Hiro, they can't kill you for good. But it's gonna hurt like hell if they do!"

"Thanks, Ari, that's helpful!" He shouted as he kicked away the pests. Then, he shot the cure and they dissolved. "It's working!" Baymax was having his back on shooting the parasynths behind him, together they doused every last one.

"Karmi's cure is highly effective." The robot said once they were no longer surrounded.

"All right!" They did their nanobot version of the "ba-la-la-la-la-la-la." Hiro then sighed.

"Good work." Ari cheered him up. "Don't worry, Karms is gonna be herself soon. She'd probably yell at you for being so mopey right now."

He laughed. "Probably, though, when she gets back. you have to call her something else. I claim copyright on the use of Karms."

"Rude!" They were both laughing, but then she froze. "Hiro, there's a boss level parasynth coming your way!"

"What?" He looked up and saw the biggest parasynth in his life, it was like some kind of broodmother. "Might have ba-la-la'd too soon."

"That is a large one." Baymax commented. "Relatively speaking."

"We can go big, too." Electricity cackled as Hiro and Baymax combined their nanobot bodies, he had to reattach Baymax's face from the bottom though… He yelped as the broodmother circled them. They both fired but it was like the cure rubbed off it's body, a swing of its tail knocked their form down.

"Uh oh…" Ari commented.

"Run! Or swim… or whatever!" Hiro grabbed Baymax's arm and they tried fleeing the broodmother.

Baymax pointed to a small hole. "Aortic artery." They swam in, barely avoiding the fangs. The broodmother hissed before retreating, circling around the chamber.

Hiro sighed. "That was close, any ideas?"

She paused. "Sorry no, good news though, if you destroy the broodmother the rest of them will die out."

"My diagnosis suggests that we could destroy this parasynth, if it ingests the cure." Baymax suggested.

"That could work!" Ari chimed in, Hiro looked at the circling broodmother, and grimaced.

"On a scale of one to ten, how hard will that be?"

"Ten."

He groaned. "Of course it's that hard."

They clung to the wall as the broodmother passed by. "I will be the distraction." Baymax offered as they left the hole.

"Good luck buddy." Hiro murmured as he got into position

A micro rocket-fist struck the broodmother, and it turned around. "Hello, I am here to distract you." The robot stated, it growled and chased him in circles.

"Hope this works!" Hiro swam to the jaw. "Baymax, now!" Baymax struck more micro rocket-fists that dazed the broodmother enough that he could grab the mouth. "Thirsty?" And fired what amount of cure he had in the canister until he slipped.

The broodmother cackled green before exploding. "Woah!" Ari gasped. "You did it!"

"Ba-la-la-la-la-la-la." This time, the fist-bump wouldn't be interrupted. Hiro removed the VR headset, relieved he could feel his arms and legs instead of the nanobots.

"Um." He felt something on his hand though. "Ari, have you been holding my hand the whole time?"

"Pretty much." Hiro chuckled at her, then removed the VR chip from Baymax.

Diane looked up from the monitor. "Her vitals are getting stronger!" She was actually smiling, a more genuine and happy smile than her villainous ones.

Hiro walked up to her. "Now, call off your monsters and cure Karmi. Please."

"So polite!" Her grin turned evil once more, she held up one of the biotech major's nano-receptors. "How about an upgrade instead?"

Ari hissed, protectively grabbing Hiro. "Not interested." His eyes with horror, they tried to leave but ran into Chris.

"Stay for dinner!" He said while holding a chunk of meat, they were cornered now.

Hiro was shaking with horror. "Y-You said you were gonna cure Karms..."

"You know, I've become something of a monster artist." Diane had a crazed grin, twisted from her own morals. "Don't fight it, Hiro. Be my masterpiece!"

"Don't you dare touch my brother!" Ari snarled at her.

"You don't have to do this, Di!" He protested.

She ignored them. "You're the only ones who know what I've done so, I think I kind of do."

"Look out!" Ari yanked Hiro away as Diane lunged with the nano-receptor.

The clone just smirked, brushing a tuft of hair away from her eyes. "I've learned a lot about the brain. I can send impulses to my pets to make them think what I want." She flicked her phone.

Green eyes opened into slits.

"For example, that a friend is actually an enemy."

Hiro gasped, looking up as Karmi leapt down from the ceiling. "Karms?" He whispered, but she was not in control.

Karmi let out a monstrous roar as she stared down at them, no at her friends, but at her prey.

Fred let out a cry of pain as Knox threw him on another wall, he dodged a fist and leapt. "Super jump-Oh!" But he got careless and was hit by Bessie's breath attack. "Doesn't work anymore. I've been Bessied!"

He screamed as the two monsters closed in. "Nothing works! I can't even fire blast!" Why did he have to get unlucky the minute he sent Mini-Max away?

He shut his eyes and held his hands up to shield his face as Knox lunged.

"Freddie!" But the claws bounced on a pink bubble, he looked and saw that Honey Lemon came to his aid. Then, graphene claws shot through the bubble, breaking it down. As Momakase swung her claws, they hit a plasma shield.

"Rejected!" Wasabi grinned, but then his leg got struck by a tongue.

Honey Lemon took a stance as High Voltage slithered over, purple electricity cackling around them. Gogo had knocked them over with her hover disk before they even touched the others though. Two Mayoi clung to her arms and she threw them over, they scrambled up the stairs where Sparkles was sliding down on his fuzzy green throne, sipping a cup of tea.

"Ready for my close up?" He chuckled. Honey Lemon kicked an ice slide that made him slip and threw him and his Mayoi on top of the other villains like a mountain of mossy snow.

"Fool!" Momakase shouted at him.

"I'm not a fool, I'm a celebrity!"

The gang circled the mutated villains covered by Mayoi. "When you're done, we'll accept your surrender." Gogo told them.

"This is everyone's fault but mine!" Sparkles protested.

"You can't beat a good plan!" Wasabi pointed out.

"Except…" Momakase glanced over to Bessie, and leapt on her back. "With a better one!" She dug her claws into the bear's neck, she screeched and blasted the rest of Big Hero 6. They dropped like flies next to Fred.

"Okay, well. Did not see that coming." Gogo commented.

Sparkles at the sight of the depowered superheroes, laughed maniacally. "Sucks to be you, clowns!" Even Momakase looked annoyed by his shouting. "Now, time to get rid of some comp-" He got cut off by something jumping on his head and backflipping over the villains.

"Dear lord." A snow-cloaked figure in a cat mask was standing in front of Big Hero 6. "I feel bad for your co-workers, having to see and hear you all day."

They gasped at the figure. "Who are you?" Wasabi asked them.

Their answer would be from the last person they expected. "Kat." Momakase acknowledged the mysterious person. "Is this the part where we fight?"

"Yep!" Kat nodded. "Sorry in advance, but I just can't let you harm the heroes." They looked over to the gang. "Run now, I can dodge a few bear roars."

Fred beamed. "Thank you kind… uh, what are your pronouns?"

"They/them." Despite wearing a mask covering their face, he could sense a smile behind those eyes.

"Thank you kind savior." The comic fan waved.

The gang then quickly started running as Knox leapt. Kat however batted away the socialite turned monster with a sword.

"Okay, where did you even get that?!" Sparkles exclaimed, the sword was a white color and shined so bright they had to look away. Wasabi squinted and noticed it was a carbyne blade, but he just joined the others in running.

They stopped to catch their breath in a nearby alley. "So many monsters!" The physics major wheezed.

"Fear not, brave heroes!" They looked up and saw-

"Mini-Max!" Fred jumped in excitement as the small robot flew down. "How'd the back-up plan work out?"

Mini-Max lowered his wings. "Outstanding! And I brought tacos." He handed Fred a bag of Yaki Taco, which he started digging into.

Gogo narrowed her eyes at him. "You came up with a back-up plan?"

"Yeah, and I did it without asking Hiro." Fred grinned. "Which is weird because my plan is to usually ask Hiro for the plan, but Hiro isn't here, which is why we needed a plan, but I couldn't ask-"

"Bessie?" They looked up, thunder boomed as a figure was atop a skyscraper.

"Fred, you didn't." Wasabi gasped.

"Oh, yes. I did. Crazy wood-dweller Ned Ludd, everybody!"

Ned was riding a moose atop a skyscraper. "Bessie!" He called out into the city. "Oh, where are you, girl?" The flash of Bessie's breath attack made the moose run in the direction as their Skymaxes flew past.

"You are Mini-Maximum welcome!" Mini-Max exclaimed as the Skymaxes with their regular gear landed.

Hiro rolled over as a claw lashed out at him, but hit the monitors. He quickly got up and kicked Diane's phone. "No!" She shouted as it landed several feet away.

"Get Di's phone!" Hiro shouted to his sister and Baymax, while still avoiding Karmi's claws. "Really need it right now!"

Ari ran over while Baymax waddled slower. "Chris, deal with this!" Diane shouted to the assistant."

"I live to serve!" He smirked, then his bones made crunching sounds as he got larger, golden and dark fur grew until there was a hulking werewolf in his place.

The sweater girl looked at him with horror. "Oh what the heck are you?!"

'He's the werewolf!" Hiro shouted at her. Chris was the one we encountered this whole time!?

"Wrong, I'm the biologically perfect assistant." Chris flexed a claw. "A mix of human, canine, gorilla, and foodie!" He leapt over to Ari, grabbing her with one claw, she screamed in pain as his grip tightened.

Then, the hulking werewolf looked down at Baymax who was crawling to get the phone. "I hate to be a bad host, but…"

His foot slammed down on Baymax's back. "Baymax!" Hiro screamed in horror, he ran to his side, ignoring the looming werewolf in front of him.

"A-Actually Malfunction…" Baymax's hand had barely touched the phone, Chris batted it to the side and used his other hand to toss the phone to Diane. She caught it and grinned.

"How dare you!" Ari shouted at Chris, but that made his grip on her tighter, she tried not to scream from the pain.

"Ari!"

"Hiro, you are in d-d-danger. You need to r-r-run, now." Baymax told him, stammering. Hiro looked up to see Chris looking down at him. One of his hands was still gripping his sister, she was telling him to run too. And on his other side-

Screeee!

Karmi screeched at him and looked like she was about to tear him into ribbons.

Meanwhile with Kat!

"I'm really starting to regret this!" Kat yelped as Mayoi kept biting down on their ankles, and Sparkles laughing like a madman wasn't helping either.

Couldn't use their sword, it got knocked across the street by Bessie, so Kat just climbed on the top of a car that was knocked to the side.

Kat gave a sigh of relief once they were situated on top of the car. But yelped as Knox started rocking the car. If the cavalry could come soon, that'd be nice!

"Knock it off!" They yelled at Knox.

"Surrender, and maybe you won't be bear food!" Sparkles yelled back.

"Yeah no thanks midget!"

"Did you just call me a-"

"Bessie?" The rocking stopped as Ned Ludd riding a moose of all things rode into the scene. "Bessie! Where's my Bessie you dum-dums? Come home!" Kat sighed with relief. Finally, some backup.

Bessie stomped over and gave a low roar at Ned.

He gasped upon seeing what happened to her. "Bessie? What have they done to you girl?!"

Momakase unsheathed her claws. "We don't have time for this-"

"Hang on." Sparkles stopped her from pouncing Ned. He was on a carriage of Mayoi and was gripping High Voltage's tails as some messed up version of a steed. "I want to see where this goes."

Ned extended a hand to the bear. "Let's go home Bessie, you belong in the woods girl!" Bessie roared back, so he removed his hair ties, making his hair puff up like a mane.

Kat's gaze flickered to the superheroes in their regular gear coming up from a corner. "Oh, I can't watch!" Wasabi groaned.

Bessie pawed the ground, and leapt at Ned. "Intimidate the bear!" He shouted, roaring at the bear. She roared back, and the two started roaring at each other in a battle of the grounds.

Until… Bessie was the one who lowered herself down, whimpering like a puppy.

Neither of the two watching villains saw that outcome. "Whaaaat?" Sparkles had his jaw dropped.

The wood-dweller rubbed Bessie's head. "Good girl. Let's get out of here. Just me and you, Bessie." The bear's mouth curled into a happy grin, she started licking her caretaker like a happy dog.

"Quit imposing gender on our meteorite-bear monster!" Sparkles shouted, he whipped the eel's tails to start chasing after the retreating duo. In return, Bessie used her breath attack and Sparkles, the Mayoi, and High Voltage went flying.

"Strike!" Kat quipped, there was a huge grin concealed under their mask.

When the deranged show host hit the ground, there was a whir as his chip powered down. His skin turned back to it's normal color, and his hair retracted back into a thin state, although there was a bit more dyed pink hair on his scalp. "What? No!" He shouted, feeling his face. "My leafy greens!"

Wasabi lowered his hands. "Oh." His friends were smiling, seeing the breath attack deactivate the biochips. "Now I wish I had watched."

The screeching continued as Hiro leapt back. Karmi's claws dug into the metal wall, she lunged her head to try and bite him, but he avoided by the skin of his teeth. The doorway to freedom was in the corner of his eye, he could make it.

But then Karmi leapt in front of the door, knocking him on his back. He didn't have time to get up as she slammed her claws done and he had to roll away.

In the middle of one roll Karmi grabbed him, lifted him up to her face, and screeched. Hiro felt his heart pump with adrenaline in fear as he stared at those mindless green eyes, there was only thing he could do.

"K-Karms, you can fight this!" He said with a wavering voice. "Because… you're the smartest person I know."

Karmi just stared, a low growl coming from her throat, and her grip got less light. "You're my friend." He placed both his hands on her wrist in a comforting manner. "I care about you." Her jaw closed as she stared at him, and he stared back with a caring smile.

"Seriously?" Diane rolled her eyes. "Just eat him!" She tapped her phone, and Karmi just hissed in pain, nothing happened. Confused, she continued tapping. But Karmi just hissed in pain, her other hand clutching her head.

"Fight it Karmi!" Ari shouted to her.

Hiro had a look of concern seeing her in pain like that. The only thing he could do was hold her hand. "C'mon, Karms. I believe in you, Ari believes in you." He whispered to her. "You're the only one in control of you, listen to your voice."

Diane just tapped her phone in frustration. "Uhg! Chris, finish the job!" The hulking werewolf leapt over, still having a solid grip on Ari with one hand.

"I'll take it from here." He attempted to grab Hiro with his spare one, but Karmi pushed him back, and slammed him into the wall. Ari had luckily gotten grabbed by Karmi before also getting hit, so now the two siblings were protectively held in her arms.

"Karms!" Ari laughed with tears of joy and relief in her eyes. "You did it, you fought her mind control!" But she yelped as Chris got up, growling.

Karmi placed the teens down and pushed them safely to the side as the assistant ran at her. She flexed her claws, trying to swipe Chris but he grabbed her arm and swung her to the wall.

Karmi crawled upwards as he tried slamming into the wall, but just hit the spot where he made a hole. She then jumped down, grabbing the hem of his shirt and throwing him on the ground. She tried stomping down but he grabbed her foot, and kept it at bay while he got up.

They exchanged a few swings, then Karmi bit down on his arm. It had no effect, and he threw her to the ground, this time pinning her with his foot as she tried to push him off.

"No!" Hiro shouted. "Let her go!"

"Hiro NO!" Ari screamed as he tried to push Chris off, but he grabbed the teen with one hand and threw him across the room.

Diane immediately pinned him down, kneeing him in the gut and pushing his head down while placing the nano-receptor on his neck. "Sorry Hiro, but I'm afraid you're a loose end." But as she tried to activate it with her other hand- "Wait. Where's my phone?"

"Over here…"

A weak voice, similar to Diane's, spoke, as there was mist emerging from the chamber as the original stepped out.

"Liv!" Diane ran up to her. "I did it!"

"Huh?" Hiro placed a hand to his neck, Ari immediately hugged him once she caught up, glad he wasn't turned after-all.

Liv stared at the clone in fear, seeing the malice in her eyes. "What did you do?"

"What you created me to do. To save you!" Liv looked at Hiro, ripping the patch off his neck and glaring at Diane, Ari clinging to her brother at how close he was to being mutated. She saw Baymax unmoving on the floor, and Chris continued to pin Karmi down.

She looked at the consequences of her actions in horror. "I… I never wanted to be saved like this."

Beep! "No!"

Chris was forcibly turned back to his normal form, no longer pinned, Karmi got up and hissed. Hiro then winced as their friend hit the assistant to the point of unconsciousness. "He deserved it for what he did to Rach." Ari grumbled.

"Liv, what are you doing?!"

"I'm doing… the right thing." Another beep went off.

Karmi hissed as her form got smaller, her claws shrunk, and her eyes turned back to the reddish-brown ones Hiro knew. "Karmi!" He ran up to catch her before she fell, and held her tight.

Ari smiled at the sight of the two teen geniuses reuniting. "I did my job." But turned around and frowned up at Diane excusing her horrible actions to Liv. "You should be grateful."

"I'm ashamed." The look of disappointment from the one she desperately tried to save was the perfect karmic justice against the clone.

Bang!

Hiro looked up as a plasma blade sliced the door, and a jump kick broke it down. "Hiro!" Fred bounced to him, Wasabi following behind. "You're alive!"

"Uh…" Fred pointed to Diane and Liv. "Why are there two Livs?"

Hiro chuckled as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Long story, where are the others?"

"Staying behind to guard the villains, this random hero showed up and helped a little, they suggested it." Wasabi explained, then noticed the sweater girl. "Ari!"

She crawled up to them. "I'm alive." Ari groaned in pain. "Chris squeezed me like a stress ball though, I think I broke a rib…"

Baymax, although limp on the ground, still had his scanning ability. "You d-did not."

"Oh thank goodness."

Wasabi's glare burned into the unconscious form of his ex. "Karmi knocked him out before she turned back." Hiro explained, then winced at their shocked expressions. "Uh, yeah, Di got Karms-"

"Di?"

"The clone Liv who we've fought."

"Oh." Fred cleared his throat, turning to Ari. "Good news, we got Bessie to turn on the villains and she hit them with her breath attack, do you know what this means?"

She was too tired and too hurt to think properly. "No?"

"That includes High Voltage, which includes Juniper!" The comic fan exclaimed. "Your friend's back to normal!"

"Woah." Hiro blinked, but his reaction was less emotional than Ari's, who was crying tears of joy.

"R-Really?" She squeaked. "You're not pulling my leg?"

"Nope."

"Thank goodness!" Ari sniffled. "Everything's gonna be alright now." Hiro tried hugging her, but she held a hand. "No, I'm good just give me a moment-"

As the heroes celebrated their victory, Diane felt her anger rise as Liv smiled at the sight. She then sent a hateful look at Hiro.

Hiro, the kid who was a thorn in her side from the start. Hiro, the kid who foiled her plans. Hiro, the reason that Liv turned on her. If she couldn't have a happy ending, neither would he.

"You're not going to win that easily." She spat. The heroes looked as she pushed Liv, grabbed the phone, clicked a button, and then slammed the phone into the wall, smashing it to bits.

"What did she do?!" Fred panicked. Hiro looked over to Karmi, seeing if the chip on her was reactivated, but he saw no signs.

But that's when his worst nightmare happened, and it was far worse than seeing Karmi mutate.

He should've known, when his sister started shaking and groaning, her hands to her head from the pain.

He should've known, when there was a period of time when Ari was in the clone's clutches, anything could've happened, and it did.

He should've known, when Ari started screaming and her teeth turned to fangs and there was fur dark as her hair sprouted and her hands became claws that Di got her too.

And he should've known, when it was done, there was the faint outline of the biochip right on the lion monster's neck that was his sister, he couldn't protect her too. She roared and ran out of the chamber, Fred at her heels, Wasabi shouting at him to be careful, but Hiro didn't react at all.

All he did was stare in horror at his little sister, who he tried to protect, but failed.

And there was nothing he could've done to stop it.

AN: F in chat for Ari...

I was on the fence if Ari was going to get monsterfied or not, but since I wanted her to be caught up in some of the action it feels like her getting turned at the end as petty revenge on Di's end would at least extend the ep a little bit... and uh... angst train

HV is not going to take this well next chapter... (I finally get to write them as non-eels now, yayyy)

And Kat joins the action too! Still mysterious as ever, and hilarious XD

QOTW: How'd you react to the end of the chapter. did you see it coming or did you not? Tell me your thoughts (as reviews help give me energy to write more)
