Sora blinked owlishly at the headset Hiro handed him. "An AR device?"

The robotics genius smirked. "Isn't it cool? It creates a CG overlay that augments your vision." He explained. "While you wear it, this device sees everything you do and logs it."

"Um…" He cautiously poked the headset. "What for?"

"Well by studying your techniques, we could figure out how to beat the Heartless on our own." Hiro stated. "Put it on your face."

Sora placed the headset on, then jumped as he summoned his keyblade. "Heartless!"

Ari glanced around the garage. "Where?!"

"There's no Heartless here." Goofy frowned. If there were, they would have sensed it.

"But it's-" He pointed at the wall of the garage, which had nothing there except boxes.

Hiro held his hands in a calming gesture. "It's okay Sora, it's not real! Just take the device off and you'll see."

Sora placed his Keyblade away, taking the device off and relaxed, then starting clicking it on and off. "Wow, I have no idea how you're doing it, but this is cool!"

"I know right?!" Ari chimed in.

"Thanks." Hiro blushed at the praise. "But I guess you need a little bit of practice with that thing on."

Fred perked up at the word 'practice' with a big smile on his face. "So does that mean it's shugyo time?!"

"Not yet, Fred." Wasabi snapped. "He's still learning."

Honey Lemon addressed him. "Sora, all you need to do is run through some courses that Hiro scripted." She explained. "Like a minigame."

"We'll put a tracer on your movements so we can-"

"Shugyo, shugyo, shugyo!" The comic fan's chanting cut Gogo off, she rolled her eyes at his bouncing.

She sighed. "So we can shugyo."

Goofy leaned over to Donald and cupped his hand to whisper. "I guess that's a good idea, we could prob'ly use the practice."

The duck crossed his arms. "Speak for yourself."

"I can shugyo by using new combat data." Baymax stated. The trio stared at him in confusion, as neither of them knew what he meant by combat data.

"This should be fun." Ari clapped her hands, a bowl of popcorn in her arms.

"Where did you even- nevermind." Her brother sighed. "Cue the training montage."

Superhero Squad group chat:

Ariel: Yaaaay!

Captain Cutie: I can live with this.

It was late, so Hiro had called it a night on working with the upgrades. As promised, Honey Lemon invited the trio over to her and Gogo's shared apartment.

"Hope you guys don't mind Andre, he's a leaper." The chemist warned as she opened the door.

"Who's Andre?" Sora questioned, but he then got a green blur jumping up in front of him.

"Mayoi! Mayoi!" Andre was bouncing up and down, Sora just chuckled, scooping the small Mayoi in his arms.

"Hi buddy. You're so cute!" He booped Andre on the nose, making him giggle and hop back to his spot on the couch and curled into a ball.

"Hyuck! Never saw an animal like that little guy." Goofy commented.

"He's called a Mayoi." Gogo told them.

Donald carefully patted his head. "Where'd he come from?"

"It's a long story."

Sora frowned, noticing the sad look on the engineer's face. "Y'know we're not strangers to bad stuff, I kind of picked up that something happened a while ago."

Both girlfriends winced. "There was another monster attack last week, it was pretty bad." Honey Lemon admitted.

"You don't have to talk about it if it hurts." Donald noticed how tense they were. "We understand."

Gogo smiled at his words. "Thanks, it was a really stressful time."

"Well as long as you and your friends are together, anything is possible!" Sora beamed.

That got the two to smile, they were able to defeat the monsters together, and this new threat would go down too.

But that was for tomorrow, as it had been a long day.

The next morning…

Hiro got back to work on upgrades, while everyone was hanging out. Fred and Sora were talking about comics, Donald was helping Wasabi with the workload, and Goofy and Honey Lemon were deep in a conversation.

"So what's the deal with this Captain Fancy guy?" Sora was asking Fred.

"Oh he defeats bad guys all across the city, but he can't show anyone his superhero identity!" Fred explained to him. "He also has some really funny one-liners."

Meanwhile, Ari was talking to Gogo. "You got a concussion?!" She gaped.

"Yeah, Sora patched it up but I still feel off." Gogo placed a hand to her head. "I'll be fine though."

Ari had doubts. "You shouldn't push yourself, you guys got banged up badly from the last batch of monsters, and me…" Even if she didn't remember it, she knew that it must've taken a while for the team to get her back to normal.

"Hey don't do that, it wasn't your fault." Gogo crossed her arms.

She knew that, but she still felt bad about it. "You sure you'll be fine."

"Yep, I've been through worse."

Hiro finishing the upgrades on Baymax's superhero chip got their attention. "And that should do it!"

They all cheered. "Now we can help you guys next time those things show up!" Fred exclaimed.

"Well… if they work that is." Wasabi still had his doubts.

Ari noticed the computer had a news report playing. "Uh guys? I think you'll be able to prove that."

They all huddled around the screen as it played.

"We interrupt your scheduled program of 'Foods I Don't Care For' to bring you this breaking news." Bluff Dunder reported. "Moment's ago, the city's South District was attacked by the weird shadow monsters from yesterday."

The bandana gasped, she recognized that district. "The South District is where the Sunset Boulevard Hospital is!"

"They're not gonna attack there. We won't let them." Wasabi reassured her.

"Witnesses to this event describe that there were strange, floating heart things where people had disappeared."

"The Heartless got them!" Fred gasped.

Still, the report continued. "City police are urging citizens to stay at home. Hopefully Big Hero 6 can stop them." Bluff Dunder had a look of hope. "In any case, I will be hiding bravely under this desk-"

Hiro closed the report, turning to Sora. "It's go time." They nodded as they faced the group.

"Wait, can we go back to the part where the Heartless got people?" Wasabi raised a hand.

"Don't worry, we'll get their hearts back as soon as possible." Goofy reassured him. "We gotta make sure no one else gets turned into a Heartless."

Ari nodded. "I'm scared that they're gonna get June-"

"Nothing bad is going to happen to Juniper." Hiro sighed. "She's probably safe and sound at the hospital, where nothing bad is going to harm her. Trust me on this."

She still looked skeptical. "I hope so…"

There was awkward silence for a few moments.

"Uh, who's Ju-"

Gogo facepalmed. "Can we not do this right now?"

Meanwhile at the Sunshine Boulevard Hospital…

"Hmm… I'm thinking of a number from one to ten."

Juniper raised an eyebrow. "Ten? Really Megan?"

"Hey!" The reporter huffed. "Just guess already."

"Four?"

There was a pause. "How'd you know?"

"That seems to be your lucky number." True to her word, the reporter had come again to visit, which was nice as Megan was loads of fun to talk to.

She clapped her hands. "Okay okay, I guess we'll play another game."

"Yay I was starting to get bored." Juniper snarked.

"Hey!" But they both chuckled, it was all in good fun.

That's when Rachel came into the room. "Room service, the service is me visiting." She teased.

Juniper blinked, surprised to see her. "You know Ari left yesterday, right?"

The scruffy brunette rolled her eyes. "Ha-ha. Am I not allowed to visit you?"

"Hey Rach, where's Katie?" Megan noticed the lack of the blue on her shoulder.

"She hates hospitals." Rachel shrugged.

The former crime-dancer pouted. "Awww. I miss Katie."

"She misses you too." Rachel reassured her. "When are you getting out?"

Megan sent her a look. "Dude!"

"In two days…" Juniper glanced away from her. "I don't know if they'll put Mama and I back in jail or not."

"There's no way that's gonna happen!" Megan protested.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure you'll just get community service since you mentioned you wanted to reform before, and what happened with the whole monster thing wasn't your fault, and what you guys said gave them plenty of information on-" She stopped rambling when Megan gave her another look. "Sorry, just trying to be helpful."

"No it's okay, I really don't wanna go back to jail." Juniper murmured.

"Me neither." Megan was sure her dad would not be happy if she had to visit a friend in jail.

A knock on the door indicated a nurse coming in, Nurse Stone if she recalled. "Pardon me, Ms. Reynolds, but it's time for your vitamin injections."

Neither Megan nor Rachel understood that, but the dancer deflated. "Aw, I thought I was done with those!"

"I'm afraid they're not."

As the nurse approached, Rachel squinted at her. I feel like I've seen her before. She had messy blonde hair, an orange eye with the right side milky white.

"What are vitamin injections?" Megan turned to her friend.

"They're to help me since I'm a little malnutritioned from what happened with…" The former crime-dancer nervously bit her lip. "The eel thing."

The reporter winced. "Oh, bummer."

"It's okay, they use patches so I'm not scared at all!" But when the nurse approached, she had a huge scary needle in her arms.

The nurse seemed to ignore the look of terror in Juniper's eyes. "I promise this will only hurt a pinch! Just stay still sweetie." The way she said it made them all shiver, especially Rachel, as she finally realized what was so familiar about the nurse.

"Look out!" Rachel cried out as she tackled the nurse, which shocked her friends into the action.

Immediately, Juniper kicked the syringe away from her once it dropped onto the floor. "Why would you do that?!" She demanded at the nurse.

Nurse Stone was eerily calm, smiling expression giving them all the chills. "Well wasn't that rude of you dear? Now I have to get my hands dirty you-" She was cut off as an object smacked her in the face.

"Rachel, you can't throw chairs at people!" Megan gestured at the scruffy brunette.

"That's Emily Stone, she's a dangerous criminal, we need to go now!" Rachel retorted, beginning to pull the two out of the hospital room.

Juniper glanced back at the room. "Why do you know her?"

"I'll explain when we're not in blast range!"

That only made the dancer more confused. "Blast range?!"

BANG!

Megan shrieked as a bolt of dark lighting flew past her head, Nurse Stone had gotten up, hands cackled with a strange power. "I was hoping you wouldn't recognize me Rosie…" She glared at Rachel. "You look just like your treacherous father."

"You're one to talk on looks considering you look like your kidnapper of a sister, and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!" She snipped back at the fake nurse.

Nurse Stone shrieked in anger, throwing another bolt right at the scruffy brunette. "Look out!" Juniper yanked her out of the way just in time.

"We need to go, now!" Megan realized, glancing down the hall, she knew the elevator was nearby. "C'mon!"

Gripping both of her friend's hands, they began sprinting down the hall as the fake nurse started trying to shoot them down. "Quit running so I don't have to zap you!" Nurse Stone screamed at them.

Meanwhile…

Momakase smirked as she enjoyed her drink. "What a nice cup of tea…"
Bang!

She nearly dropped her cup as something struck the door near her, causing it to break and she saw three teenagers run down the hall.

"She's catching up!" The chef/mercenary recognized one of them as Barb's daughter, and they were being chased by one of the nurses?

I ask for one day of peace and quiet… Momakase sighed as she began to dial security.

"Open already…" Rachel mumbled as she opened the elevator button, and they sprinted in. She immediately pressed for the button that would take them to the garage, and was pushing down on the button that'd close the door.

Megan winced as the footsteps of the nurse got louder. "Please close please close please close-" But as the door began closing, they saw Nurse Stone's crazed grin coming into the view just before the door closed.

"You can't run from me!" She screamed just as the elevator closed and began going down, once safe, they all sighed with relief.

"That was close!" Rachel leaned onto the elevator walls.

Megan raised an eyebrow at the scruffy brunette. "How do you know her? Can you tell us what's going on?"

"I wanna know too…" Juniper glanced back at the door, the fake nurse's sadistic grin still fresh on her mind. "How could she throw lightning at us?"

"It's a long story." Rachel looked hesitant, but they deserved to know especially after such a terrifying chase. "That woman is Emily Stone, aka Voltrax, she's… well she's part of the group that kidnapped my sister and took her memories away."

Immediately Juniper's expressions turned from fear to anger. "They're why Ari has amnesia?!"

She nodded. "I guess Voltrax was trying to infiltrate the hospital to kidnap her again, but she tried going for you."

"To take her as a hostage?" Megan questioned.

Rachel hoped it was that, it was better than the alternative. "Or… she was going to take away your memories too and brainwash you into joining their group."

Now the fear was back in Juniper's eyes. "What?" She was… if Rachel wasn't there, her mind was going to be tampered again? She would've been right back in the same place she started, being used like a puppet against her will, being forced to hurt innocent people and the ones she cared about.

"Yeah they're kind of crazy, especially Voltrax, since her sister was the one who abducted my sister, she calls herself her aunt and-" That's when Rachel noticed that the dancer started to cry. "Oh I should not have said that." But she felt that Juniper deserved to know after Sycorax.

Now is not the time to think about that! She stopped talking and gave her a hug.

Megan gave her one too. "I'm not going to let them take you, they'd have to try over my cold dead body!"

"Please don't, I don't want you to get hurt because of me." Juniper sniffled, trying to wipe tears away from her eyes.

"I'm not going to let them hurt you either." Rachel added. "They took my sister away, I won't let them take anyone else."

The reporter glanced at the scruffy brunette. "Speaking of that, I didn't know Ari was your sister."

"I didn't tell her at first, I was scared she'd reject me because of her memory loss, and then I got scared that if I told her, I'd lose her again." Rachel murmured, she had been such a coward lately.

Even when the city was under attack by monsters and she knew who was responsible, she didn't say a word to anyone fearing that it'd put her and her family in danger. "But I don't want to sit and do nothing again."

"This group of villains really scare you, don't they?" Juniper picked up on her fear. "What's their name anyways?"

Rachel sighed. "The Galaxian Pirates, fits them as they're nothing but bandits who will do anything in the name of conquest." Even if it meant tearing families apart and stealing people's memories, they didn't care as long as they got what they wanted in the end.

The elevator door opened. "C'mon, we gotta get out before Voltrax catches up."

Back with the heroes…

"Heartless!" Donald pointed to the monsters roaming the streets. Good thing the citizens had realized how dangerous they were and were running, but Sora saw a handful of floating hearts to know not everyone got away.

The comm attached to the AR device buzzed to life. "There's something up on the buildings!" Hiro pointed to the roof.

Sora looked at the rooftops of the skyscrapers, he could see the faint symbol of the Heartless on one lurking above.

"Okay, I'll check it out." But first, they had to deal with the Heartless on the ground first.

It was easy for the heroes to fight the Heartless this time, thanks to their new upgrades, Gogo had been able to dodge them by skating vertially up the wall, a task she had now perfected with ease.

Wasabi sniped some of the flying ones with his new laser blasts, Honey Lemon helping by trapping them into hardened blocks of goop, making it easier for him to target them.

Fred had the option of an icy breath attack, which he used to freeze his foes, and even combined his fire and ice breath to create a deadly combo move.

Also in the sky, Baymax flew in the sky. "Scanning." He saw his friends in trouble on the ground, so he fired one of his rocket fists.

He hadn't been given a major upgrade like the others, just improving his combat methods in the air, but it was enough to give the Keyblade Hero 3 a fighting chance.

"Nice, Baymax!" The Keyblade wielder beamed, running up to the robot. Baymax then held his fist out. "What?"

"Now, we fist bump." Baymax stated.

Sora tilted his head. "Fist bump?"

"To display excitement. Hiro taught it to me."

He held his fist out. "So like… this?" And they did a small fist bump.

"Ba-la-la-la-la-la-la." Baymax gestured.

"Bah-la-la-la?" Sora and the other two repeated, a look of confusion in their eyes. "What does that-"

THUD!

The ground shook.

Hiro buzzed the comm on. "Sora! Something big's coming your way." He had been helping pommel the monsters as well with his magnets, and supposedly his upgrade, Sora didn't know what it was but he had seen Heartless being tossed like ragdolls in the distance, so it must've been powerful.

"Aaah! Heartless-saurus rex!" Fred shouted, on his side he saw a giant dinosaur-like monster stomping down the road, chasing away a bunch of poor cars.

"Oh, no!" Sora looked and saw it in the distance.

"Sora, Donald, Goofy, hop on." Baymax told them. The trio clung to his back as they took off in the air.

"Thanks Baymax!" Sora waved down to the robot, he pressed a finger to the comm. "Hiro, we'll take care of it."

"Be careful!" Hiro replied.

"We will-yow!" The dinosaur Heartless lunged, its teeth snapping and causing Donald and Goofy to fall off. Leaving them in range to get struck by its tail.

Sora jumped down, keyblade glowing. "Storm Flag!" He struck a flag on top of the Heartless. Under it, watery kraken tentacles sprouted from the ground, slapping the Heartless, giving his friends enough room to scramble away. Donald shot a lightning spell for good measure, the water giving it a boost.

"Hyuck, take this!" Goofy tossed his shield up, which stunned the beast even more. "Good combo guys!" They nodded back, Baymax picked them back up. Sora took it as a good opportunity to shoot blasts with his Keyblade.

As the Heartless stomped at them- "Rocket fist." Baymax smacked it back down.

The Keyblade wielder cheered. "Alright! Get 'em Baymax!"

"Full speed mode activated." Speeding up, the robot struck fast blows at the Heartless, Donald casting Firaga and Goofy tossing his shield to stun as support. To escape the assault, the Heartless leapt up.

"It moved onto one of the buildings." Hiro reported. "I marked the target on your AR device."

"Got it!" Sora grinned. "Thanks!" Baymax grabbed Donald and Goofy, flying up to the skyscraper's rooftops. On one nearby, the Heartless was resting.

As they got close, Goofy picked up Sora. "I'll give you a boost!" He shouted, Sora nodded, hopping on top of Goofy's shield, bouncing into the air.

"Go get 'em!" Sora threw the dog at the Heartless, he howled and delivered a good strike with his shield, making the Heartless topple over the edge. And to finish it off…

"Shot-lock!" The Keyblade wielder locked in, and struck, the Heartless dissolved, a floating heart where it once was. It must've been someone in the city that had fallen to the darkness. "Don't worry, I'll restore you back to normal." Sora whispered to the heart, and then it vanished, waiting until it could be reunited with its body.

Hiro looked up at the skyscraper, grinning as the Heartless faded. "Alright! They did it!" He cheered.

"Woo-hoo!" Fred leapt in the air. "We beat them this time! Victory screech!" He then started screaming, until Gogo threw a disk at him. "Ow!"

"He has a right to be happy." Honey Lemon crossed her arms at the engineer.

Hiro would've cheered too, but his phone buzzing made him dig into his pockets. "Hello?"

"Hiro!" It was from Megan, and she sounded scared. "Thank goodness you answered! I need you to call help to the Sunshine Boulevard Hospital! I would've called Fred since has a superhero hotline… but I don't have his number."

"What?" Fred glanced over at the mention of his name.

"What's going on, why do you need help?" Hiro questioned. Did the Heartless attack the hospital?!

It thankfully wasn't that, but Megan's response made him fear it was something worse. "Uh long story but one of the nurses is a crazy supervillain in disguise she tried kidnapping Juniper and I think she wants to kill Rachel and please send help-"

She was talking so fast, he barely heard her. "Slow down, supervillain? Kidnapping? Wait she tried to kill-?!"

A loud crash was heard on the other end. "That was her, I have to go."

"Wait Megan, where are you? Who's chasing you?!" But when he looked back at the phone, the call ended. "Oh no…"

Sora turned to him. "Hiro, is everything okay?"

"We have to get to the hospital now!" Before it was too late.

"Oh kids, this won't hurt if you come out right now!" Nurse Stone managed to catch up to them and the three of them were hiding behind one of the cars in the parking lot to avoid her wrath.

Megan shivered as she saw her footsteps walk past them. "She's watched too many horror movies." She couldn't help but comment once the fake nurse walked past.

"Shh, let's wait until she goes away." Rachel shushed her. "She'll just assume we left, it'll be fine-"

BAM!

She was wrong as Nurse Stone shot lighting at a car, making it blow up and damage the cars around it. "Don't make me have to lure you out, I get angry when children don't come out when they should!" Her voice was sing-songy and had a lust for blood.

Juniper shivered as another car blew up. "She's gonna kill us… she's gonna kill us…"

"Not if I can help it." Rachel took a deep breath, and glanced at her friends. "I'm going to divert her attention, I've dealt with her before, you two run."

"That's a death sentence!" Megan hissed.

The scruffy brunette didn't seem too bothered, but Juniper could see the fear in her eyes. "I'm sure help will come soon."

BANG!

This time the car was near enough for shrapnel to fly their way. "Yeah right, I'll be fine, promise."

Before either of them could stop her, Rachel stood up and threw a piece of shrapnel right at Nurse Stone.

It bounced off of her shoulder, and she turned around with a sick grin. "Rosie! Seems you want to be put into an early grave after-all!" Nurse Stone shot a bolt, Megan's eyes widened as Rachel cleanly dodged it. "Stop moving and I'll make it quick and painless!"

"Yeah right, everything out of your mouth is a lie!" She spat back.

Nurse Stone huffed. "You're one to talk, I heard your little conversation with my darling niece, lying to her, keeping secrets? What would your big brother say, hmm?"

Anger flared in her green eyes. "Don't you dare talk about my brother you filthy monster!"

"Says the one defending a monster." Megan shot a glare at the fake nurse as Juniper flinched. "Tell me where Juniper Reynolds is, and I'll spare you today."

Rachel glared at her. "Over my dead body!"

"Fine then!" Nurse Stone shot a bolt, and due to her distracting the scruffy brunette, it hit her. "You and your treacherous parents are a disgrace to the Rosemary bloodline! My love doesn't deserve to have lying backstabbers like you in the picture!" She picked up Rachel like a ragdoll, her claws tightened around her throat. "And it's about time for you to be purged!"

Strangled gasps came from Rachel as she dangled in the air. "At least… I'm not a failure… like how you failed Lisa…" She managed to squeak out.

Immediately, that got Nurse Stone to drop her. "How dare you bring her up?!" She snarled. "I'm going to rip your head off you little-" She got cut off as a frost bolt hit her in the chest.

"Step away from the kid!" Rachel blinked as a duck stepped in front of her, staff aimed at the fake nurse.

Nurse Stone blinked at the duck. "What are you?!"

"Keyblade Hero 3!" That was said by a boy, Rachel noted that he was accompanied by Big Hero 6. "We might not stick around for long, but we won't let you hurt people!"

"And you're going to leave Ms. Rosemary alone." Captain Cutie stated, gloves ready for battle.

Nurse Stone noticed that she was outnumbered, and snarled at the heroes. "This isn't over, you idiots have no idea who you're dealing with!" Before Flame Jumper could pounce, she threw down a smoke bomb, blinding everyone's vision, and she was gone as soon as the duck cleared the air.

"Darn it!" The boy crossed his arms.

Rachel shared his frustration. "Yeah… she always gets away." Her throat burned as a cough escaped her lips, Red Panda handed her a glass of water. "Thanks."

"Please do not strain your voice." He gently warned.

She complied and merely nodded. "We better stick to yes or no questions then." Speed Queen crossed her arms. "Do you know who that was?"

"Rachel called her Voltrax."

The scruffy brunette shot a glare at Megan as she and Juniper emerged from their hiding spot. "I know you told us to run, but I couldn't leave you to sacrifice yourself!"

As much as I appreciate your loyalty Megan, I'd rather you'd have run than get captured by Voltrax. A fate worse than death in her eyes, Rachel shuddered as bad memories came to her head.

"Voltrax?" The walking dog of the group looked worried. "That's a colorful name, has she been here recently?"

Rachel shook her head. "No, from what Rachel told me, she's been a supervillain for a couple years." Megan thankfully translated. "But what she was up to scares me…"

"She tried kidnapping me." Juniper added, glancing over to the Keyblade Hero 3. "Have you guys met her before?"

The boy shook his head. "No, we're new in town to help Big Hero 6 with the new monster threat! We just thought she was part of-"

"A group of enemies we've encountered." The duck added, sending the boy a glare.

There was something slightly unusual about the Keyblade Hero 3, not that Rachel was going to question, she couldn't due to her sore throat, but it wasn't any of her business anyways.

Though something tells me that the reason Voltrax pounced was to take advantage of the chaos due to the monster crisis. That was how her group operated, they never played fair, always sneaking around in the shadows like scoundrels.

They had unfairly taken Lyle away from her, and she wasn't going to let them take away anyone either, not if she could help it.

AN: Surprise supervillain foreshadowing! As fun as it is writing the kh3 crossover in hof, it's also the best way to introduce this oc group of villains that I've been cooking up, who will be throwing monkey wrenches into the fugitive arc.

not that im doing the fugitive arc... but you'll like Phase 3! Until then enjoy this chapter and I hope you like Voltrax! She's so bloodthirsty and scary, the kind of villain you don't want to mess with.
