After facing off against more ancient demons, and getting acquainted with the last of Satan's devils, it was pretty much smooth driving across the Kauliphorneea borders.
The sun was rising behind them, Aqua was fast asleep, and Kazuma had a good coffee buzz surrounding him as he continued to drive them to the southern capitol city Lost Angels.
Otherwise the drive itself was peaceful, in fact Kazuma notice how there were many drivers with the start of incoming traffic on his way, which while a pain in the ass, was actually a nice change of pace.
Still traffic was traffic and seeing how he wasn't expected to be given a full presidential escort, he waited till he found the next road stop that provided fuel for his car and belly, and just wait out until traffic hour came to an end.
Once he spotted an ISKIP, he pulled into the drive way before he gently nudged Aqua awake.
"Hey Aqua, time to get up for some breakfast" said Kazuma, "Mm" mumbled Aqua as she began to stretch in her seat before letting out a yawn.
"What's for breakfast" asked Aqua, "ISKIP, now come on they offer all you can eat pancakes" said Kazuma as he got out of the car first and nearly regretted it as his legs were dead and his ass was asleep.
"Ah" said Kazuma as he leaned against his car, "Oh wait, did we finally cross the border" said Aqua in realization upon realizing they haven't been attacked and the fact she heard actual road traffic behind her.
"Yeah about a good 2 hours ago" said Kazuma as he couldn't help but laugh over their achievement.
Once they got inside, the duo quickly took notice how all the employees who worked here were Goth's, and was proven more evident when the hostess in question just so happen to be the most ideal Goth milf, with the most luscious sets of hooters you've ever saw, short lavender hair, an open boob window to her cleavage, she wore a skin tight black dress, and had the sort of voice of that hot single mom you knew you had a hard on for.
"Table for 2" she asked as it was the perfect blend of mature, seductive, and mysterious that got Kazuma to choke on his words a little.
"Yeah" Kazuma said as Aqua began to pout before getting a little closer to him as the hostess brought them to their table.
Making it a clear point to actually not sit next to Kazuma, Aqua went the extra mile and pulled him closer towards her with her arms wrapped around his.
"Anything I can get you 2 to drink" she asked, "Coffee for me" said Kazuma, "Orange juice" said Aqua as she nodded before walking off.
"Hey Aqua, mind giving me some personal space here" said Kazuma as he found this to be a bit odd, "No" Aqua stated bluntly as she continued to keep herself clung to him.
Deciding not to make a scene himself, Kazuma allowed this behavior to happen as they got to enjoy their breakfast.
Once they got their fill and seeing that the traffic has lighten up, Kazuma and Aqua began to drive their way towards the city of Lost Angels and decided to cruise around and enjoy the city for once.
"Hey Kazuma" said Aqua as she was the one driving this time around, "Yes, I'm Kazuma" mumbled Kazuma, "Since we're in the clear and don't have to worry about getting attacked, want to enjoy a day at the beach just you and me".
The idea of a nice relaxing day at the beach, for just the two of them to lounge around and soak in some rays sounded pretty nice to Kazuma, not to mention he actually enjoyed the idea of seeing Aqua in a bikini.
"I'd be down" said Kazuma with a smile as they began to make their way as close as possible towards one of the populated beaches near Lost Angels.
Once there they hit up a few of the local shops near the beaches and pay probably as close as to 3 times as much as the products they would've normally would have bought if they had decided to shop at places like Bullseye or BalMart.
Regardless they made their way over to the beach with their hot shit flare, as evident with Kazuma wearing a pair of black on dark green swim trunks with a solid white line on the left leg, plus an open green t-shirt and black sunglasses all around.
"You know, I can't remember when was the last time I enjoyed the beach" said Kazuma with a smile on his face.
"Hey, Kazuma, mind giving me a hand here in laying out the blanket" called Aqua from behind as her outfit was definitely befitting for a goddess.
An all blue string bikini as she wore a sun hat and a brown tinge sunglasses with cheetah frames, as she had on a smile on her face, which quickly disappeared.
"Why are you looking at me like that" asked Aqua as she felt a little creeped out before Kazuma snapped back to reality.
"Sorry, you just look great, beautiful, I mean sexy even you know" said a flustered Kazuma with a blush as Aqua too began to blush and turn her head away to hide how happy she was to not only get praised but to actually get Kazuma to see her sex appeal compared to how it was years ago.
"You know most girls would find your response to be quite creepy, not mention how it was a cover up to you just blatantly gawking at me" said Aqua bluntly as she was unaware she had killed the mood.
"But, I think I'll let it slide cause you finally admit to my beauty" said Aqua trying to act all haughty.
"Of course" said Kazuma as Aqua lost some cute points right there, but none the less obliged in setting up their beach spot for the day.
Overall it remained uneventful with Kazuma taking a nap under their parasol, Aqua had lounged around and read a magazine that didn't necessarily centered on full on nudes, guns, or a mixture of both, but rather a newly built super mega pintendo store.
After a good 4 hours of sun bathing, and playing in the water, both used one of the public shower heads to wash off any of the salt water, before they went to the place Aqua had just read.
Once there, they walked inside, they got themselves 2 pintendo switch's, a copy of Pocket Monsters with Kazuma getting the 'Light 'em up' copy, while Aqua got the 'Radioactive', though in reality if you were to ask every Pocket Monster gamer, they'd tell you it was the same damn game of that year, just a different brand name, but who cares.
"Wow, look at that I got a shiny Char Dragon" said Kazuma as he showed it to Aqua as she began to pout, "No fair, how is it that you were able to get it, while a goddess like me, who for the longest could never get it" whined Aqua.
"Luckiest man not only in the living world, but in Hell I guess" said Kazuma smugly as this only got Aqua upset and pounced on him.
"No fair, you should be giving that Char Dragon to me" said Aqua trying to grab Kazuma's switch, "Unless you're willing to trade me 3 legendary Pocket Monsters this second, no way" said Kazuma trying to keep Aqua at bay.
"Why should I offer up 3 legendaries when the right thing for you to do is offer your Char Dragon as tribute to me, so that I may continue to bless you on our journey" said Aqua as that struck a nerve with Kazuma.
"You know damn well the reason we're not only alive, but happen to made it this far wasn't from any sort of blessing from you, since it's quite the opposite given how you were the reason we were constantly hunted down by both Demi-Demons, and ancient demons alike, and had it not been for Satan's own personal devils to have aided us here and there, we would've been long since dead, so please do me the favor and show some humility and own up how if it wasn't for them, our journey and lives here would've been true Hell by all meaning to that definition" yelled Kazuma as he got Aqua to back off and to his surprise not reduced her to a blubbering mess like she's known for in these situations.
"You're right" spoke up Aqua as this surprised Kazuma since he was half expecting to be pulling on her cheeks right about now.
"You're absolutely right Kazuma, if it hadn't been for Satan's own devils we honestly would've been dead" said Aqua as she took a moment to reflect on their journey so far.
"You alright there Aqua" asked Kazuma as he was not expecting her to grow up a little with her character, "No, honestly I should be damning them and Satan a lot more than I should've been throughout this journey, but honestly I'm starting to see that Hell isn't as bad and is in fact quite better even to an extent compared to the Heavenly Realm or any world and its vices" said Aqua as she began to let out some tears.
"Aqua" said Kazuma as he was starting to worry she may have a public mental break down, or worse yet end up catatonic.
"But, I'm a goddess, I should want to leave this place and say nasty things about it now and afterwards, but truth of the matter the Heavenly Realm is quite boring, and gods and goddesses that reside there are horrible" said Aqua as she began to start crying lightly as she leaned onto Kazuma.
"Honestly, I'm not even certain that I'm even going to be welcome back even if we somehow make it out of here somehow, in fact I'm fairly certain I've either been replaced or retired amongst the gods" said Aqua as she finally let the realization hit her as Kazuma had been awake about it for the longest time.
In fact Kazuma was now more than certain that if his sins were wiped clean, he'd probably ask Satan if he could allow him not only a place for himself, but Aqua here in Hell, and that would honestly bring himself nothing but happiness.
"No worries, I'm pretty sure that the boss would be more than happy to allow you both a place here if that's what you both want" came a voice standing next to the duo.
He had on a friendly face on as he came approaching the duo as they came to realize this had been the last of Satan's devils.
He had wore a formal evening wear outfit, with the red button up collar sticking out of the top of his black on red dickey, he wore a black tailcoat in spite of the heat, black dress pants, and shows and wore a top hat over his short well kept blonde hair.
"You're the last of Satan's Devils aren't you" said Kazuma, "Indeed I am, so allow me to formally introduce myself as the Devil of Pride, Draekon Lyon, though please refer to me as Lyon if you would" said Lyon with a British accent as he tipped his hat with a smile.
"Not to sound rude, but why the sudden introduction, I mean we met everyone else at pretty crucial death defying moments" said Kazuma.
"Well truth of the matter, I made a promise to myself to withhold my presence from you 2 until this one learned some proper humility or you know I was ordered to by the boss" said Lyon.
"Really" said the duo, "I am called the devil of pride for that reason, as I would not tolerate any such blatant insult to my master, let alone to my friends, and after hearing them of praising you both highly I think now was appropriate for us to finally touch face" said Lyon.
"Ok so now what" asked Aqua as Lyon let out a chuckle, "Well truth be said I am indeed to approach you both in regards to their actually being somewhat of a crisis and power struggle here in Hell now, especially given how you both managed to cross the border and are on your way to Vey Aria" said Lyon.
"So I guess it does mean my appearance during a death defying moment is indeed on point as you have mention Kazuma" said Lyon to try to lighten the mood.
"Exactly what is going on that we're not seeing" asked Kazuma, "Well as you know Hell is currently based between the 4 states with current route 66, as such Kauliphornreea is regarded not only the safest but most civil and peaceful lands there is at the moment" began Lyon.
"However, it mainly houses a domain for regular sinners across the world, with the only exception being the sister lands of Movadja as you 2 had the pleasure to enjoy a leisure vacation at not so long ago, but what many don't know the old roads and states to route 66 technically does exist, however it only exist to mainly house those that deserve the worst kinds of treatment of Hell, but more importantly where not only the ancient demons, but regular demons exist" continued Lyon.
"And I must say that they're rather restless and getting rather unreasonable to want to hunt you both down, especially since they believe you have Satan on your side, a very clear misunderstanding no matter how many times I had to sit down and speak to them" said Lyon.
"And let me guess, because of you guys constantly interfering and saving us, their accusations on the matter only appears to be true to them, and so they want to overthrow Satan" said Kazuma.
"You're on the nail my boy, though to be fair the ancient demons have been very resentful to Satan as he came to select not only me, but my friends as his personal guardians to Hell and help maintain order" said Lyon.
"So what, they just want nothing but absolute anarchy, and because you guys are trying to enforce it, they resent you guys" said Aqua, "No it's because in our old lives we were all humans, more specifically humans who were all personally sought out and selected for this responsibility by another human, in fact Hell's biggest human celebrity to be precise" explained Lyon.
"And who would that be" asked Kazuma, "Art Legend who else" said Lyon, "You mean that action movie star guy that Kazuma has a man crush on" said Aqua.
"I don't have a man crush on him, he's literally just so happen to be in every move made here in Hell" said Kazuma as he couldn't believe he had to defend himself.
"Moving on to what I was getting at, the ancient demons are deciding to band together and lead an army of demons to destroy everything Satan has made or plans to make in order to overthrow him and kill you both in the mix, that is unless we either offer you both to them or get rid of you personally" said Lyon as that last part stuck to them.
"Alright, so what are you going to do" asked Kazuma wearily as he wasn't certain he was prepared if you could face off against one of Hell's devils, even with all the gifts of the other devils and Aqua backing him up.
"What my friends have been telling you since the beginning and that is to get to the capital city of Vey Aria" said Lyon to the duos relief since they thought for a moment there they were gonna betray them now all of a sudden.
"Alright, we'll start driving there right now" said Kazuma as he and Aqua got up, "Time is of the essence and I'd rather you both not waste driving for another 5 hours in case the worst does happen" said Lyon.
"Than what do you suggest we do" asked Aqua as Lyon pulled a choker from his person and began to bless it with some of his own power.
"By the powers vested in me as the Devil of Pride, I hereby grant this man a portion of my power, in hopes it aids him in his journey" said Lyon as he then handed the rather effeminate accessory to him.
"Ok, so what do you do, that you gave me" asked Kazuma as Aqua helped put the accessory on.
"While I do have unbelievable power, alone I am nothing, but with my friends we're a force to be reckon with, and given how you have a portion of their power, you've got a truly great advantage" said Lyon.
"That… doesn't entirely answer my question" said Kazuma, "Right, well you have a portion of the power given to you by Toestee, a fire manipulator and teleporter" said Lyon.
"I've no doubt that now you have my power combined on top of his, you can finally teleport yourselves to the capitol city of Vey Aria within 5 seconds" said Lyon as Kazuma began to smile over how powerful he just became now.
"I'd advise that the 2 of you purchase whatever it is you need that may prove useful, but please don't take too long now, as not only my friends and I, but our master Satan shall be awaiting for you both" said Lyon before he began to teleport out of sight.
Knowing that things are about to get serious, Kazuma and Aqua looked around and decided now was a good time to do some last minute all expense paid shopping spree.
Within an hour, Kazuma and Aqua were fully dressed and heavily armed and ready to face Satan.
"Ready to go partner" asked Kazuma as he wore navy blue jeans, a grey t-shirt with a green light weight cotton hoodie unzipped over it as his belt was lined with ammunition, and grenades, on top of his Glock 17 pistol, on his back was a SPAS-12 pump action shotgun, and in his hands an M4 assault rifle in his hands.
"Ready" said Aqua as she wore a light blue shirt over a black tank top that was partially visible and a black jacket over it, and black yoga pants with blue shoes, while she carried twin colt .45 pistols on her hip, an MBP .50 rifle on her back, and a MP5 in her hands.
Reaching out his hand, Aqua accepted it before both looked at each other intensely for a minute.
"Hey Aqua, I want you to know that if anything were to happen, I want you to know that out of anyone who could've accompanied me on this journey I'm glad it was you" said Kazuma as this threw Aqua in for a loop as she began to blush.
"Nothing is going to happen if things go ok, but in case it doesn't I want you to know that throughout my existence, if it wasn't for you coming into my life, it would've been the same boring life it was before, so I hope that whatever happens next, you think about me in the journey ahead of us" said Aqua as he Kazuma was very certain that his heart had skipped a beat.
"I wouldn't want anyone else" said Kazuma before both were suddenly covered in a maelstrom of flames before the slowly disappeared from sight as they ready themselves to face their final judgment to this adventure.
Hail Satan my people, we're approaching the conclusion to this story at long last, and it's going to be epic since you can expect a whole lot of action, drama, romantic confession, and an appropriate aftermath to this duo.
