The shrill sound "VERDE!" That came from Skulls room the next day woke the house, quietly and with the stealth the likes of which only a truly trained assassin could ever accomplish Fon made his way to see a steaming mad Skull. Her purple locks were woven into a braid, her fringe shifting in the slight breeze caused by the cool air of the air conditioner, showing an oddly shaped scar above her brow. Her purple eyes gleamed in the light as she looked at the scientist in front of her.
Fon moved to stand against the doorframe. His arms crossed as he took in the lovely vision, and it was lovely. He had never seen Skull in any type of rage before and with her much more natural looks he doubted he had ever come across a sight more beautiful in all of his years and was glad to be back in his adult body so he could enjoy it to the fullest.
"Is there a reason you're trying to make my ears bleed this early Skull?" Verde glared at the Cloud.
"My. Earring!" She snarled, punctuating each word. Her lips turned up in a ferocious fashion.
"How am I responsible for your rather colorful choice of attire?" Verde snapped at her with a disgruntled huff.
"I placed it on the tray in your lab! This is not it!" She growled angrily as she thrust a small piece of metal into the Lightnings face.
"I don't have your failure of a fashion statement Skull!" Verde barked in annoyance and Fon barely withheld a snort because Verde wasn't lying, the man had given it to their Mist, and he doubted anyone would ever see it again.
Skull must have seen the truth of that statement in the man's face as she reeled back, her right eye twitched in irritation. "They were in your lab. I need them!" She snarled angrily.
"I am sure Viper would be more than happy to help you find your earring Skull, if you're willing to pay them." Fon spoke up drawing those lovely purple eyes to himself. He felt his own flames purr in pleasure as if to say that gaze was where it should be. On him.
"I am not paying Viper for my earring Fon." She seethed as she turned around and headed towards Verde's lab. A slow cold smirk lit the Lightnings lips once their angry Cloud was out of sight.
"I had always assumed Viper and Skull were close." Fon ventured after a moment. His own eyes barely flickered over to his Lightning. "I find it safe to say I was wrong."
"Hum, I think you would be correct." Verde agreed after a pause. "I don't think our Cloud is nearly as fond of Viper as they had appeared."
"It is going to be quite fun to unravel Skull, no?" Fon's lips twisted as he stood to his full height and headed to his usual meditation spot. He wasn't worried about being disturbed, only Skull had ever disturbed his meditation on a regular basis, and as it was, he welcomed the disturbance.
With that thought he unbuttoned his shirt, placing it neatly to the side. Swiftly he took his customary position. He wanted Skull to interrupt, he wanted those purple eyes to widen, to see a lust filled gaze as he showed her what could very easily be hers. That thought had his own gaze darkening, his flames purring in agreement.
Instead of getting lost in meditation as was his usual he spent his time planning. He knew what he wanted, Skull as his Sky, married to him. The problem was how to go about making his desires a reality. His mind ran through different scenarios, some he crossed off because, while they might have the desired end result, they had too many variables that could have the opposite effect. Others he thought might work but would need to be engineered carefully to achieve what he wanted.
"The Lacky is heading your way." His eyes snapped open to see Reborn looking at him with grim amusement. He tilted his head slightly in thanks. "I'll call her Lacky until she marries, then it will be your wife." He responded to Fon's unasked question a devious smirk on his lips.
"Not going to try for her yourself my friend?" Fon inquired after a moment. His eyes gleamed at the thought of a challenge. A snort left Reborn's lips.
"I have no interest in trying to tame the Lacky Fon. I wouldn't mind being her guardian but we both know I'm not one to settle down. I'm more of the love them and leave them type. Skull has always seemed like the type to want all, or nothing. She won't settle for a single night of pleasure and bliss. She's going to want the white picket fence with children and a dog." The sound of footsteps getting closer had both men sharing a rather dark grin.
"I'll leave you to it then." Reborn stated as he moved to the other exit, sliding out the room before Skull entered. Her eyes shined brighter than any jewel Fon had had the pleasure of seeing. Beautiful.
"Fon!" She snarled his name in a way that said she was very angry.
"Can I help you, Skull?" He asked with a serene smile.
"You can tell me just what you and the others are planning." She snapped, "And put your damn shirt on!"
"What makes you think were planning anything?" He questioned amused as her eyes refused to look at his bare chest. "I don't mind if you want to look Skull."
"I don't think anything Fon. I know you bastards. You're planning something. I want to know what you're planning, and maybe some of us don't want to look at others who are half naked!"
"Oh?"
"Regardless of what you all think I am not stupid. None of you have so much as asked about last night. None of you are known for letting sleeping dogs lie. Compound that with my missing earring, and the fact that when I went to get the rest of my things on after this morning's fiasco to find all of my other jewelry and makeup gone means that you are all planning something. I want to know what it is."
"I don't know where all of your jewelry and makeup went." Fon stated feeling highly amused as he stood from his spot, slowly walking over to stand in front of his Cloud, forcing those purple eyes to his own form.
"I didn't say you did dick head." She snapped but Fon could see a slight red tinge to her cheeks, the pupil of her eyes dilating. He could feel how her breath had changed, becoming shallow. Oh, she wasn't nearly as uninterested as she would have him believe.
"Dick head?" He asked, the words rolling off his tongue. That was an insult he wasn't used to hearing.
"It means your head is shaped like a…. you know what never mind. I'm not playing your mind games." She hissed and Fon was tempted to reach out and stroke her like a cat.
"Mind games? I was unaware I was playing any mind games." Fon kept his voice light as he gave into his impulse and gently brushed her fringe away from her eyes. Drawing her gaze to himself.
"Your always playing Mind Games, and you know it." Her voice wasn't nearly as forceful as she would have liked, and Fon barely withheld a smirk.
"I apologies if you think that. I have no interest in playing Mind Games with you Skull. Not when we could be doing other things." He purred the words out. "Would you like to spar? Your body is filled with tension. It might help."
"W…What?" Her eyes widened looking at him in disbelief, uncertain of just what had happened.
"Spar?" He inquired again; "it might be good for you to get used to fighting in this form. At least until we can find out what happened to your earring. Perhaps if you told me how it was crafted, we could get you another one?"
"W…what? You can't replicate those, Fon." Skull snapped stepping back to give herself room and Fon followed like a predator following its prey. "They were specially made by my father as a gift to my godfather, his cloud, who wanted to get away from his family! They are the only thing I have of ether of them. Even if you could recreate them, and you can't, it wouldn't be the same!"
"I was unaware you had mafia ties." Fon stated after a moment. There was a bit to process there so he would take the revelations one at a time. "What famiglia was your father and godfather apart of?"
"What…can you please put your damn shirt on? And step back, you're in my space!" She snaped, one arm coming out to push against Fon's muscled and well sculpted chest.
"Why would I do that when I intend for us to spar wǒ de tiān."
"Fine then, lets Spar." She snapped. It wouldn't be for some time later that Fon would realize Skull never did tell him just what famiglia her godfather and father had been part of.
The spar itself was more than Fon expected, it seemed Skull had been holding out on them. Instead of infuriating the Storm, it just made him that much more intent on having her for himself. That is not to say she won, of course. But he had not taken her serious until there was a nice man-sized dent in the floor curtesy of a cloud infused kick that sent him sparling into the earth.
"You've been holding out on me wǒ de tiān." He said into her ear once he had her pinned, slowly letting his storm flames press into her core. His flames were searching for her hidden Sky.
"Get off." She snarled up at him, her eyes flashing. Both of her hands were grasped into his larger one. Her legs locked under his weight in a very compromising position.
"Perhaps you should save that for the bedroom Kora." Colonnello's voice came from the entrance and Fon felt his own eyes flash with the power of his storm as he moved off the slender form, a deadly look on his face as he locked eyes with the Rain.
"Get your mind out of the gutter idiot." Skull sneered at him as she got up, rolling her shoulders before storming out. "And Fon," she said stopping in front of the exit, not even bothering to turn around to look at ether male. "I am not a Sky, much less your Sky."
"What did I miss?" Colonnello choked out as surprise flashed over Fon's face.
"Quite a bit I would wager. Since when does Skull know Mandarin?" Verde asked as he stepped into the room. No doubt he had been watching for some time from one of his cameras.
"Mu, the better question is how much is she hiding?" Viper stated as they appeared in the room.
"More than we ever gave her credit for. I was unsure if you were trying to seduce her or bond with her Kora." Verde let out a derisive snort as Fon turned to look at the Rain.
"Who said it had to be one or the other my friend?"
"So, you do want to bed her then?" Colonnello chocked out after a moment looking far to stunned. Fon couldn't help but to feel amused.
"Do not be so crass. I have every intention of marrying her." He stated as he picked up his shirt, he didn't bother buttoning it up. He had a Sky to seduce and bond with after all.
"So, what famiglia does Skull have ties to you think?" He heard Colonnello mutter as he walked out.
"We'll discuss it tonight with the others." Fon called out before anyone could answer the Rain.
