It definitely is going to be, and the chapter after this could be also~ It's going to be tough, but this is going to make Ryouta a stronger person, as did the death of Shisui, it might be difficult, but he'll continue on, and show the world what he's made of. It will be from different point of views, we'll get insight to Itachi and Ryouta, and Satsuki next chapter. Yeah, she's going to be heading out with Itachi and she's got her story line going from there. Izumi's going to do her best~ And thanks!

Izumi leaving is going to play an important role as the story goes down, one without spoiling too much is going to be apart of Ryouta's growing story through the arcs. She'll be with Itachi and Kisame mostly, she might even pair off with Konan at some points. Maybe we did~ Could be~ He seems to have an affinity for snakes~ Hehe, it seems he did. Anko is in~ This chapter, and part of next, chapter 19 is the last chapter before canon starts in chapter 20, when you see next chapter, it will make sense why it was split into two, couldn't fit everything I wanted to do into one. We'll see who lives~ Mikoto did seem to be able to tell what was going on. He is yeah, we'll see how strong he's become in a few chapters when canons on. He could do yeah~ You'd think they would, but that's how they are. Ryouta might have a moment like that. Shizune does yeah. Tsunade might do. It'll be referenced later about the Uzumaki pair. Sakura and Ino might bicker, but they're still friends here. He is friends with them yeah. They had a cute moment huh~? Fugaku and Ryouta will here. Hiruzen will punish Danzo. Yeah, it was bittersweet huh. Ryouta will eventually~ Ryouta will be suspicious that something is going on. There's reasons why, which shall be explored later on. He did yeah~ We'll see what happens with the Uchiha. He could have them as guardian snakes~ He could have a crow, like Shisui did. His Mother is yeah, she was very powerful. Maybe in a joking manner he could point something like that out. We'll see what happens~ I'm not fully up to date with 100 year quest, but I know enough to know who they are, so they'd be cool. It would be cool if he did have something's like that. Izumi will get on with Kisame. Konan will have more of a presence in the story that's all I can say right now without spoiling things. Mangetsu's fate we'll soon see. Ryouta will be quite strong. Great RWBY stories~ Yeah, he's got his power back. Those are cool lines. Yeah, it's a cool name~ They probably would be good friends yeah. They would do~ Yeah maybe they could. He might have a few things to say about it. Anko will show more than she did in canon. We'll have to wait and see what happens with Danzo here. Maybe they could be yeah. Yeah Mei could do. The girls will show some cool stuff. Thanks for the suggestions!

Guest 2; Things are definitely about to get tense~ Homura and Koharu will receive something alright. He does have a good relationship with his class, we'll see more as we get into canon, the likes of Shikamaru, Kiba, and Choji are friends with him, Lee could be considered as his best male friend. That's a pretty good breakdown of each, and I'd have to agree, Anko did have quite a bit of potential, and as you said, Orochimaru saw something in her, maybe in this story she'll get to show off some cool snake, and other kind of Jutsu's. Anko I would yeah, Yamato has stuff that can be expanded upon. Yeah, he'll learn from other Sensei's also, he'll be learning from a few Konoha, and maybe others.
MDM11; Izumi, Itachi and Kisame will be a three man squad, but Raiga still could do. He will be training under some strong people to learn more of his potential. They could learn some elemental releases yeah. That would be a cool group to find~ They could become Jonin's yeah~ Ryouta will get Shisui's eyes in time~ Can't spoil when yet. Thanks for the vote! Danzo could do~ Ryouta could learn a few of those Jutsu's~ Izumi will definitely be able to hold her own when canon rolls around, she'll be quite powerful. Any of those would be cool names for her.
War Sage; Thanks! Yup, she's in~ Yeah, it definitely will be~ Izumi will find ways to learn, and show how capable she is in the art of medical techniques. Ryouta is going to have a knock back, but he's also going to have a drive to save his last remaining family, even if Izumi isn't technically, they're as good as at this point. He is going to show some of his Mangekyou this chapter. Zetsu doesn't know yet, but he might find out. Danzo will have at least a Sharingan there. Hiruzen wont be light on punishment for Danzo this time. He might do yeah~ Thanks for the vote! Valid points! Brainstorm Sorcerer; Hehe, not last time~ This time...maybe~ Itachi is yeah, it's quite hard for him, and he's trying his best to make the best decision. He does, Itachi's a pretty cool character. Maybe Izumi is going to help with that~ Yeah, Itachi believes Ryouta has more right to end Danzo due to what Danzo is responsible for. I don't~ This will make him stronger, give him goals to reach for, and try even harder than ever before. Those are pretty cool moves~ Ryouta will learn some cool Fire Releases~ Ryou will witness it, but it will make him question why it's happening, and wont accept easily Itachi's doing it for reasons he'll try and state to Ryou this chapter. Hmm, the snake could be~ Izumi will do some stuff with Akatsuki, Itachi will try his best to make sure she's able to return to the village one day. Ryouta will create some Jutsu yeah. That would be a cool power~ Fugaku could be, I think I heard something like that too. Ryou and Fugaku will have a conversation before he dies. That would be a cool power, since we didn't see what his power could do, it could be like that. Thanks for the vote! Well with those lovely reviews out of the way, it's time to start the chapter!
The Uchiha downfall part one!
Early the next morning after speaking with Tobi, Izumi waited for Ryouta to come down into the kitchen where she stood waiting for him, knowing that this...would be the last time that she'd see him for...she didn't even know how long it would be, so she wanted to at least speak with him one last time.
When he came down the stairs, breakfast was prepared.
But more than the normal breakfast, Izumi seemed to go all out, and had made all of Ryouta's favourites.
"Is there...something going on?"
Izumi tilted her head, smiling as she did.
"Nope. Why would you think that?"
"Erm, no reason I guess..."
Ryouta watched as Izumi sat down, so he followed and sat beside her.
His vision drew to her when he saw that she was gazing upon him longingly.
"Are you okay Izumi-chan?"
Ryouta asked, seeing that Izumi wasn't acting like her usual self.
Whatever was going on...he knew something seemed to be off.
"Yes...I'm okay, don't worry about me~"
Ryouta wasn't really sure, but he had to take her at face value. He thought perhaps it was due to something with Itachi. He knew she and he weren't speaking that much, at least that's how it was before they did though Ryouta remained unaware of that fact.
He began eating the food, and his face curled upwards happily.
"It's really good Izumi-chan~"
Ryouta smiled out.
Izumi smiled gently at the younger boy.
"I'm glad, please eat as much as you want~"
For a last time that she'd see him, she wanted to make it as memorable as possible.
Even if it was just a meal, even if it was just a conversation.
Whatever it was…
She wanted to experience one final good memory, give Ryouta a good memory of her before...it was going to happen.
Time went on, and Izumi kept speaking to Ryouta. It didn't seem to Ryouta of anything important. It mostly seemed to be about cooking, and cleaning, and baths, things that seemed mundane, but also sounded as if Izumi was reminding him to do these things, for reasons he didn't know about.
As he ate the meal, there was a knock on the door.
Izumi went to get it, and opened it to reveal Satsuki stood there.
"Izumi-san, is Ryou coming?"
Izumi gave a slight smile.
"Yes. He's coming now, just finishing off breakfast."
"Great, because we need to go. The Academy's starting soon."
Izumi continued to smile, and she wished that her time with Ryouta wasn't coming to an end.
"Ooh yeah, sorry about that~ It was me talking Ryou-kun's ears off, so he ate slowly~"
"You haven't seen big brother, have you?"
Satsuki asked, Izumi shrugged nonchalantly.
"Eh...no I don't think so, why?"
"It's just, he said he'd meet me later on for training. It's just a bit odd, that's all. He wanted it to be just me and him."
Izumi shrugged her shoulders, trying to keep her smile on.
"I have no idea about it sweetie. Maybe he's wanting to spend time with his cute little sister."
"Maybe..."
As Satsuki mulled it over, Ryouta came rushing to the door.
"Sorry Satsuki-chan! Lets go!"
"Right."
Satsuki and Ryouta went to leave, when Izumi wrapped her arms around him from behind.
Her head laid on top of his head, and she just stayed there for over half a minute.
Not even saying a single word, it had to be a case where she'd have to do this.
"Izumi-chan...we're going to be late..."
"S-Sorry, just felt the need to do it~" Izumi pulled back, and adopted a soft smile. "See you Ryou-kun. Be a good boy, okay?"
Ryouta felt it rather odd that she was saying that.
He didn't know what was going on.
"Okay Izumi-chan. See you later."
Izumi didn't say it back, and just smiled as she waved him off.
Seeing him holding onto the hand of Satsuki, Izumi barely could contain the pain she felt deep inside, and ended up shedding a few tears. Her eyes shed those tears, while seeing the pair disappearing into the Compound.
When they were out of ear, and eye shot, she closed the door, and walked into the living room.
Her eyes went towards one image of her, Ryouta, Satsuki, Itachi, and Shisui all together.
"Back then...we were all happy...and now...everything's messed up...I don't even know...what to think...Itachi-kun..."
As she said it, Itachi appeared behind her.
She was aware that he had been watching and listening.
He walked to the right hand side of her, sitting down beside her, and simply allowed her hand and his hand to link together.
"Shisui...he'd say something inspirational right now, I'm not that type to be able to do that..."
"It's okay...Itachi-kun. You being here...with me...I know. Ryou-kun...he'll be okay...I know even...if I'm not here anymore...he'll survive...and as Shisui-kun would say...not only survive...but thrive...he'd do both."
"Yes...he'll do both."
Itachi was at least glad his presence alone was bringing some kind of relief to the young woman.
For the moment, they didn't have to make major preparations, all they could do was sit together, and enjoy any kind of peace they could have, before the nights events were going to take place.
Later on, as the time approached, Izumi sat down within a special private area, a place where she could remain safe and sound. She watched as Itachi's eyes glued themselves to the floor.
It had been like that for a number of hours, and she could see the inner turmoil that he had within himself.
How he felt so guilty, and how he didn't know what he could do to make up for this kind of sacrifice.
She wished that she could say or do something that could take his pain away.
But there wasn't much that could be done.
"Itachi-kun...it's getting late..."
Izumi murmured, Itachi didn't make a noticeable movement.
Becoming more concerned, she pulled closer.
"Itachi-kun...I could...help out..."
"No." Itachi resolved himself, and looked towards her. "This...is something only I should have to do. Do not stain your hands, allow me to do that."
Izumi took Itachi's hands, and looked over them.
"If they become stained...I'll wash them, make sure they're clear."
Itachi offered a hollow laugh.
He appreciated what she was saying quite a bit.
"Thank you, Izumi. This...wont take long."
"Ryou-kun...will he...suffer?"
Itachi wished he didn't have to, he didn't want to harm the only living reminder of his best friend.
"I have...to play the part of a villain now. For both Satsuki...and Ryou. To give them...the drive...and the will...to carry on and stop me. I can't atone for what I'm about to do...but they can be the heroes of the Uchiha, that slays the evil Uchiha like me...in the eyes of the village, they'd be heroes."
Izumi knew why Itachi was doing it.
But she didn't feel good about this at all.
"Please...make sure it doesn't hurt..."
"I'll do my best. Don't worry...one day, you'll come back to this village...when Tobi is stopped...Ryou will save you. I know that boy...he will come for you."
Itachi told her that much.
He wanted her to have a life one day.
Right now, he couldn't provide it for her.
But one day...maybe he'd be able to do it.
"You're coming back with me, Itachi-kun. I wont accept anything less than that."
Itachi wished he could.
But he didn't think he'd ever be able to do that now.
Itachi took his blade, and his headband, before walking to the door.
"One way or another, this wont take long. I'll...also get your Mothers..."
"Yes...I understand..."
Itachi inclines his neck.
"Good. Then we'll leave, together."
"...Okay. I'll be waiting for you. Whatever happens...you're a good man Itachi-kun, and I cherish you."
Itachi offered a small smile.
"I cherish you also."
Izumi silently sat as Itachi walked out.
After this, she didn't know how he would feel.
What this might change within Itachi.
But whatever it was, she'd be right beside him and help him where she could.
Meanwhile Ryouta returned home relatively early that day. He didn't know why, but Satsuki had been called to train with her brother, so he went on home. He presumed that they wanted to stay one on one with one another.
But when he returned back home, he saw that Izumi wasn't there.
"Izumi-chan, I'm home."
He called, but he didn't get a reply.
Curiosity came over him, so he walked forward through the house.
Izumi usually was back by now, so he found it rather odd.
He searched the house, but he didn't see anything or anyone at all.
Worry began to overcome him, he didn't want anything bad to happen to her, and since she wasn't there…
But then his worries dispelled when he saw a note on top of the kitchen counter.
He saw that it was Izumi's hand writing, which said [I'll be back after eight, could you prepare dinner Ryou-kun? Thanks! Love Izumi.] something that made Ryouta smile, he didn't mind preparing dinner.
But he saw the time was still rather early, so he decided to make sure that his weapons were up to date, that he'd have enough stuff in case...anything was to happen.
He waited for a few hours, and did check over his weapons.
As the world turned dark around him, he saw the time being close to seven in the evening, so he went to prepare dinner.
Cutting up some vegetables, cooking some rice, among other things, he quietly hummed to himself…
When he heard the door open.
His eyes shot for the door...and saw Itachi stood there.
"Hey Itachi-kun, if you wait, Izumi-chan is going to be back soon. Do you want to stay for dinner? Say, where's Satsuki-chan? Weren't you with her?"
As Ryouta said it…
Itachi began pulling out a weapon.
It was his tanto.
Ryouta became nervous as Itachi began pulling closer and closer.
His eyes even had the Sharingan activated.
"...Itachi-kun?"
"Ryouta Uchiha, I'm sorry."
Ryouta sensed coldness from his tone.
His body language gave nothing but deadly feelings away.
Ryouta quickly grabbed a knife from the kitchen, and while it wasn't a kunai, it was sharp enough to cut flesh, and he believed that he'd be able to use his blade to stop Itachi at least approaching for the moment.
"...Stay right there Itachi-kun...Anbu are outside..."
Ryouta activated his Sharingan, and looked for anything that was...off.
If he was being controlled by a Genjutsu.
Or if he wasn't Itachi and this was Tobi…
But he saw that he was the exact same as normal.
He didn't have a Genjutsu on him.
This was Itachi before him, it was his chakra colour.
"The Anbu wont be bothering us, they're indisposed for the moment."
Ryouta looked stunned...
Itachi's words implied something he didn't want to believe.
"W-What's going on Itachi-kun?"
Itachi steeled his will, and moved ever forward.
"Uchiha, are a stain in this world, a stain that I intend to erase. And I'm going to start with you."
Ryouta felt a pulse from his heart.
One that caused him to feel worried.
But he wasn't scared, due to all of the attacks he had done on him by that point.
However, he did have to admit that he wasn't sure what to feel now, Itachi said he wanted to kill Uchiha, and start with him.
It just didn't feel like Itachi.
Yet he wasn't being controlled or anything of that nature.
"But it's your clan..."
Ryouta questioned further.
But Itachi remained cold and gave an equally icy look.
"The clan that I revile, it's only pumped out hate and disgust for this world. I've seen how truly disgusting the Uchiha are, and I cannot allow it to continue. I've decided to start with you, Shisui's little brother. The last thing that ties me to the goodness of this clan."
Ryouta couldn't speak for a few moments.
Itachi though continued with a serious expression on his face.
"Shisui died, I'll allow you both to come together, Ryouta."
Ryouta's eyes became wet when Itachi said that.
This wasn't the kind Itachi that he had grown to know through the years.
The one that was like a second big brother to him.
"...You can't be...serious...you aren't like this Itachi-kun! Shi-chan told me! You are a kind man that wouldn't hurt others unless you had to! I also know you! You don't do things like this! You aren't like Yashiro or Sugaru at all! So why are you doing this now?! Tell me!"
Itachi just stared at Ryouta, unwavering in his actions.
Even though Ryouta suspected something more, Itachi had a killer look in his eyes.
One that he hadn't ever seen coming from someone like Itachi before.
He pulled closer, so Ryouta rushed towards the door.
Itachi used his speed to try and blitz the boy, but was surprised when Ryouta dodged out of the way of his grasp, his Sharingan locked upon his own, and then he brought up his knife, throwing it right for Itachi's face at close range.
Itachi barely dodged out of the way, but then saw that Ryouta was weaving through hand signs.
Gritting his teeth, Itachi brought out his sword, and swung it forward.
The reach of the blade was enough to slice Ryouta's hand, who winced when feeling the blade cutting him.
"Aah..."
Itachi...paused when he did that.
Seeing Ryouta with a cut on his hand...it hurt Itachi.
He hated it in fact.
This...was the hardest thing he ever had to do.
Play the villain for Ryouta, the person that carried on his best friends, brother like figures, will and heart.
"...Why are you truly doing this?"
Itachi exhaled slowly, and his eyes locked onto Ryouta's own.
As he did, Itachi cast a powerful Genjutsu onto Ryouta.
Itachi hoped that perhaps this would be it, that maybe he'd be able to subdue Ryouta with this powerful Sharingan Genjutsu, before he made plans to do something else with Ryouta before he could leave.
But to his surprise, Ryouta used his own Sharingan to break the Genjutsu.
Breaking through it, Ryouta collapsed to his knees, while Itachi raised an eyebrow, as Ryouta's eyes peered into his own.
"Shisui taught you well, being able to break that Genjutsu-"
As he spoke, he suddenly felt a blade ramming right through his upper body.
Itachi coughed up blood as he looked, and saw that it was Shisui who had stabbed him.
"S...Shisui..."
Shisui's gaze showed anger, showed hate.
"How dare you Itachi?!"
Itachi coughed even more, and was...stunned that Ryouta cast such a strong Genjutsu.
He could smell the blood that was coming out of his body, feel the steel blade piercing him.
The anger on Shisui's face, the protective feelings that he had for Ryouta.
All of it was very strong.
It was very real feeling, but he was still the better Genjutsu expert at the moment, and used his knowledge of dispelling Genjutsu with his Sharingan to do so, freeing himself, though he could tell one day, Ryouta's skill with Genjutsu could potentially surpass Shisui's own.
As he did, he saw Ryouta rushing towards him with a kunai now in his hand.
"Not bad, Ryou."
Itachi thought, reaching for his own blade in time, reacting to Ryouta's attack, parrying the boy backwards with a strong swing of his blade, forcing him to hit the ground, bouncing off said ground, Itachi wouldn't take any chances, and got on top of the young boy, using his weight to crush Ryouta into the ground, pinning him.
Ryouta struggled, but Itachi was smart enough to make sure that Ryouta's hands were pinned above his head, so he wouldn't be able to cast any Ninjutsu, and made sure he didn't look at Ryouta's eyes, so he didn't cast any Genjutsu either.
"Impressive Genjutsu."
Ryouta stared at Itachi defiantly.
Even if he did question Itachi's true reasons, he wouldn't go down without a fight either.
"Shi-chan taught me Genjutsu, you showing me illusions wont stop me...you can't stop me with mere illusions."
"Perhaps, but he isn't here anymore, he wont be coming to rescue you this time."
Ryouta angrily tried to get out of the grasp of Itachi.
But he was proving more difficult to get out of than anyone else he had faced before.
"Maybe not...but I wont die until...I understand why you're doing this..."
"I told you-"
"The Itachi-kun I knew wouldn't do this! Killing me, and the clan?! Even if they've been horrible...I know the real you wouldn't do this! So why are you doing this?! Is someone forcing you to do this?! You can stop Itachi-kun! Please...stop this right now!"
Itachi secretly wanted to smile.
The fact that Ryouta knew something more was to it than anything Itachi had said, was a testament to the very intelligence Shisui talked about, how Ryouta could look past others lies, and see that there was something else going on.
"You're way off base. This entire time, the kind Itachi you thought you knew, was a lie."
"...You aren't that good of an actor to make Shi-chan believe you also."
Ryouta was sure of that.
Itachi was good at a lot of things.
Emotions, wasn't one of them.
He couldn't fake a smile to save his life.
He couldn't force a laugh to do anything other than sound extremely fake.
Ryouta was almost convinced that Itachi was doing this for some reason.
Itachi though kept up his cold demeanour.
"I want Uchiha to disappear. I thought starting with you, cutting off the final Uchiha linked to Shisui would quell any hesitations I have." Itachi pulled his blade up and aimed it for Ryouta's torso. "Say hello to Shisui for me, Ryouta Uchiha. I'll be taking Izumi with me when I leave this village, she'll be my prisoner."
Ryouta's eyes flared.
Even if Itachi had some other reason…
He couldn't lose Izumi.
The only family he had left.
It would be a repeat of Shisui.
Ryouta's eyes began to change shape, the Sharingan's tomoe's shifted to becoming his Mangekyou Sharingan, and a silvery aura began to flow around his body.
"...It can't be..."
Itachi looked stunned, as the blade he had on him was suddenly broken.
He looked, seeing a skeletal hand moving at rapid speed, slamming hard into Itachi's entire body.
The force of the blow was so much that Itachi was flung out of the house, smashing through the brick walls, and ended up outside, hitting a tree so hard that blood ejected out of Itachi's mouth, while falling down to the ground.
Ryouta inside curled up into a ball as he felt immense pain coming from his eyes.
In fact, it felt like his entire body was feeling pain.
Everything in his body felt like it was dying all at once, it was that strong.
"...Is this...the price...of using...Mangekyou….? The...Susanoo...it came out...to protect me...but this pain..."
Ryouta grimaced in pain, looking at the skeleton hand that brought Ryouta to his feet, before disappearing all together.
Ryouta felt pain erupting out of his body as blood leaked from his eyes, but it only confirmed this time for Ryouta that he truly did have the Mangekyou, and he knew how to use it based on how the situation went down.
"So painful...my eyes...my body...all of this pain...from using it for even a few moments…? How did...Shi-chan feel...when using...this for so long…?"
Ryouta briefly thought about Shisui.
Despite everything he went through, remembering the time he used it with the situation with the Mist…
Ryouta fought down his own pain, and exhaled and inhaled slowly, trying to quell the pain deep within himself.
Ryouta, making it to his feet properly, took off running into the darkened Uchiha Compound.
"...That hand...so he manifested Susanoo..."
Itachi began standing up, feeling the pain of being smashed by Ryouta's Susanoo. The beautiful silver colour was something Itachi thought fit rather well for someone like Ryouta, who he thought was a rather pure and kind child.
But still, he wasn't able to stop Ryouta before he could escape.
He thought that doing this, he'd be able to steel himself, and continue on.
But now, he'd have to hunt down Ryouta, and kill any Uchiha that came across his path as he did so.
He couldn't have any try and escape...
It took Ryouta over a minute, since he lived further away than most Uchiha did, and when he got there…
Things were eerily quiet.
He didn't make a noise, he didn't want to attract Itachi to his location, instead he searched around him as quickly and quietly as he could.
However, he soon found the reason why it was quiet.
Someone, Ryouta presumed Itachi, had managed to kill those on that street before Ryouta could come.
And Ryouta soon saw that.
Broken windows, glass on the floor.
Stained with blood.
Body after body laid in the street, all of them unmoving.
All of them having been murdered.
His mind barely could take the carnage around.
His clan...was being killed off.
"No...it can't be...Uchiha Ninja's...he actually killed them...Itachi-kun...why are you doing this? You're not evil...I know you're not...so why are you...doing this now…?"
Ryouta continued to run while thinking about why this was happening, seeing the corpses of his clan.
Ryouta became very aware that Itachi was approaching him, so he dashed into a side alleyway, and placed his back against the fence behind him.
He slowed his breathing, hoping that he gave Itachi the slip…
But Itachi managed to come in from the right hand side, and slashed at him with his blade.
Ryouta used his Sharingan eyes to avoid being sliced down, but still received a cut on his arm.
Ryouta clutched his arm as Itachi swung his sword downwards, Ryouta seeing that it was stained in blood.
"...While I was running here, how many did you kill?"
"Does that matter?"
"...Yes."
Ryouta murmured, trying to calm down his rapid beating heart.
Itachi with a cold expression on his face, faced down the boy before him.
"I managed to kill over ten while running here, some stragglers. Some civilian Uchiha."
Ryouta felt sick.
Disturbed.
The members of his own clan...Uchiha were dying off.
Even innocents that couldn't fight were dying...
This just wasn't Itachi.
The Itachi he cared for.
Izumi's boyfriend.
The boy he saw as a second elder brother.
"...But they're innocent...they haven't done anything wrong..."
Ryouta pleaded, wanting to understand how Itachi could do it.
All of the innocent people...dying.
"They aren't, all Uchiha need to vanish this night."
Ryouta couldn't accept it.
He didn't want to accept it...
"I'm an Uchiha, Itachi-kun...I have to defend my clan."
Itachi furrowed his brows.
Definitely...he could see the same loyalty that Shisui had.
Even to the clan that had caused him to become an outcast.
"This clan, rejected you from your birth. My Father, denied your existence, and Uchiha ended up disliking you, wanting you to disappear from this world. They treated you as if you were nothing and even some tried to have you erased from this world, Yashiro tried to kill you and one day, others could've followed. Even then, you wish to defend such a clan that would do these things?"
Itachi asked, genuinely curious as to the answer that Ryouta was going to give.
"...Uchiha aren't perfect, but this is the clan I was born into. The clan that I'm proud to be apart of. Shi-chan told me...to make it better. To make Uchiha better, and that's what I'm going to do, and I can't do that if everyone is dead!"
Itachi didn't reveal it, but he was smiling internally.
That was something Shisui would say.
"...You wont be able to fulfil that dream of yours, Uchiha shall perish this night."
Ryouta felt him shaking to the core.
The fact that many people would die…
He couldn't take it.
"Then you'll...have to get through me first."
Itachi saw the look in Ryouta's eyes.
It would be the same look Shisui would send out whenever he was serious.
"I see...then I'll finish this quickly."
Ryouta jumped back as Itachi came forward.
His speed was incredible, but Ryouta had seen Shisui, and Shisui was still faster, his Sharingan was fully matured, he could see Itachi's movements, and he was able to dodge one slash from Itachi, before pulling closer.
Ryouta's fist balled, and aimed for his chest, Itachi noticed that there was some glass between his fingers, using them like daggers, or claws to try and cut into Itachi's body and possibly kill, but most likely subdue based on how Ryouta wanted to know what was going on.
Itachi pulled back, as Ryouta's hand went down, grabbing the kunai strapped to his leg, and brought it to his side, Itachi looked on and thought "Clever, he went for a weapon to fight me with while making me believe he was going for my chest with a fist." as he allowed his sword to twirl in his hand.
Ryouta pulled the kunai, and then rushed Itachi.
Itachi did the same thing, and they clashed blades, sparks going off between the blades.
Moving to the right, Itachi swung harder, but Ryouta used his eyes to predict the blades path, avoiding being cut, as he brought up his foot to kick Itachi, however Itachi used his own eyes, and deflected the kick away from his body, before sending one of his own for Ryouta.
Ryouta, still holding the glass between his fingers, tossed them at close range for Itachi, forcing him to stop the kick, and block the glass going for his upper body before they could pierce him.
But by doing that, Ryouta came in from the left, going for the lower part of Itachi's torso, and tried to stab into him…
Only for metal to clang as Itachi deflected the blade, the swing behind hard enough to reverberate the sound for a good distance, then blew Ryouta away with a sharp kick to his torso, sending the boy flying backwards.
To his astonishment, Ryouta recovered in midair, and had already sent his hands to fly through a Jutsu.
Grimacing, Itachi did the same thing.
""Fire Release, Great Fireball Jutsu!""
Unleashing fireballs at the same time at one another, the roaring flames clashed.
Itachi noting how potent and strong the flames were despite his relatively young age, but Itachi had more power, and was able to push his flames further, clashing through Ryouta's flames, and sent him down onto the ground as they burst forward.
Ryouta winced when he got onto the ground, he didn't even have time to recover from that, seeing Itachi dashing for his body, so he kicked off the ground, and did a spin low to the ground, trying to trip Itachi up.
Itachi surprised, managed to avoid being tripped, only for Ryouta to rush him once more with his blade, Itachi exhaled slowly, as he avoided being stabbed, and came at the up in the air boy with a sharp blow with his knee to Ryouta's torso.
Ryouta moved his kunai down in a stabbing position, so Itachi retreated his knee, but not before Ryouta managed to cut into his knee, surprising Itachi even more as he pulled backwards, taking out several shurikens.
"If you had gone quietly, then this could have been avoided."
Ryouta watched as the shurikens came for him at high speed.
Using his Sharingan, he predicted each ones patterns, and elegantly danced his way through the attacks. Even sliding between the paths of the shurikens, and used his kunai to deflect the blades so they'd hit one another.
Itachi knew when seeing that Shisui definitely had trained him rather well.
He was showing a good amount of skill for a young boy, and that was amazing in Itachi's eyes.
But Itachi couldn't waste anymore time, so he pushed chakra into his legs, and shot for Ryouta.
Ryouta, in the middle of dodging, didn't have any weapons on him other than his kunai. So he had to try and stop him on his own, and charged for Itachi, who dashed left and right, trying to confuse the boy.
But Ryouta kept up with his eyes, and moved his hand left, as Itachi appeared, the blades meeting once more.
This time however, Itachi had summoned a crow clone, causing Ryouta to gasp when he felt the clone embed his foot into Ryouta's torso, forcing him to cough out bile, allowing Itachi to grip Ryouta by the collar, and lift him up high into the air.
Itachi steeled his will, hating that he had just caused pain to Ryouta.
Itachi activated his Mangekyou Sharingan,
"You fought well, but now it's time to-"
As he spoke, a suddenly flash came from the right, Itachi's eyes shot for it, and saw that a blade came down.
Stopping Itachi from holding on, the boy dropped Ryouta, who landed on his feet, then he felt his body being lifted, and taken back a little distance.
His eyes went to them, and murmured "Shi-chan..." but it wasn't.
The person who saved him was surprisingly…
"...F-Fugaku-san..."
He couldn't contain his surprise.
What's more, Fugaku was standing against his son, defending someone that he had been avoiding and caused heartache to...that man, was now trying to do things to help Ryouta out.
"It's alright, you need to escape into the village."
"But Satsuki-chan...the others..."
Ryouta was reluctant.
He wanted to try and help.
"I said go, now!"
Fugaku in his own way was trying to help.
Ryouta shuddered, and simply nodded.
His eyes went towards Itachi, who didn't look at him, but to his Father instead.
Ryouta then turned his eyes from Itachi, and ran away down the street.
Fugaku glanced back, before his eyes met with Itachi's own.
"Attacking even children Itachi?"
Itachi didn't want to face his Father.
He knew how strong his Father was and what would happen.
"For the future...yes, I have to."
Itachi replied, and his eyes locked onto Fugaku's own.
They stared at one another for a few moments, their Sharingan's locking together.
As if information was transmitting between the two of them, they just silently stared at the other as their red Sharingan glowed in the night.
Then Fugaku lowered his head.
"...So that's how it is."
As he spoke, his body exploded into a cloud of smoke.
Itachi grimaced "Shadow Clone." before he began taking off once more, and running to do his task before anything could happen.
Ryouta continued to run through the streets, seeing the carnage...and just couldn't understand how Itachi had taken them all out so quickly. He didn't think it would be possible with Itachi alone doing these things.
But he had to do what Fugaku said…
No, he needed to find if there were anyone left alive.
Maybe Itachi had missed some.
That's the only hope Ryouta had now.
Many streets had blood and bodies on.
But…
There was one that didn't.
It was closest to the village, Ryouta was so glad that it was, and it happened to be the street that Ryouta knew some kind Uchiha on, all of them were civilians and mostly the elderly, those who didn't have any combat abilities.
So Ryouta rushed to Teyaki and Uruchi Uchiha, the kind nice couple that gave Ryouta bread most days when he saw them.
He rushed to the house, and knocked as quickly yet quietly as he could, trying to draw the least amount of attention to, the door was locked so Ryouta couldn't open it.
He waited, and looked around, hoping Fugaku wasn't dead, or was able to hold off Itachi long enough.
A minute went by, and no answer…
Eventually, the door opened, and revealed Teyaki.
"Ah, Ryouta-kun. Is there..."
"U-Uncle, please...l-listen to me. Get your wife...and quickly make your way...to the village."
"What's going on?"
Teyaki said in a panicked voice.
"...Itachi is trying to wipe out the clan." Teyaki looked shocked. "Please...don't make a sound...and leave quickly...I'll need to...alert the others...here...Itachi's already...killed a good number...of Uchiha...I barely got away...Fugaku-san is...fighting him off now."
"...I see, I'll get ready, go and get out of here boy. I'll-"
"Uncle you can't fight...I can, if he shows up...I'll protect you. Please take Uruchi-san and...leave."
Teyaki gained tears by his eyes for the dedication that Ryouta had to keeping people safe.
"...You are a good child...at least let me help with explaining to the others."
Ryouta understood why he said that, some Uchiha might not believe him.
But Teyaki, a respectable member of the clan in his own right, they might believe.
"Okay...please hurry."
He did just that, and quickly got ready.
Ryouta looked around, hoping Itachi didn't come around.
Then Teyaki came back out with his wife, and they all began going to the different houses on the street.
Ryouta wouldn't leave until he knew he did all he could here, and got them away.
He saw that all of the members being brought out, were people that couldn't fight, they were merely civilian Uchiha.
They didn't have a chance against Itachi.
As they were trying to leave…
Ryouta spotted him.
Tobi.
Stood in the distance, and making his way closer, Ryouta's eyes widened in pure fear.
"T-Teyaki-san! Take everyone and go! Now!"
"R-Right! Be careful Ryouta-kun!"
Ryouta nodded, taking his only kunai and rushed Tobi.
He knew it would be futile to try and take him out.
But this is the only thing he could do now.
Ryouta managed to rush towards Tobi and jumped for him.
Tobi smirked under the mask, and saw Ryouta coming for his chest…
Only for Tobi to phase through the attack.
However, it seemed to be Ryouta's plan as the boy was able to leap through him and put a good distance away from him.
"You want me Tobi? Come and get me!"
Ryouta said, hoping that if he could lead Tobi away, then the other Uchiha might have a chance.
He saw people that couldn't defend themselves, he wouldn't allow them to die for as long as he could move.
Rushing down on top of a fence, he put distance between the fleeing Uchiha and them, with Tobi using his own speed to catch Ryouta.
However, the moment he tried to grab Ryouta, the boy flashed through some hand signs, and a puff of smoke erupted out.
"Substitution, is it?"
Tobi said with bemusement, looking left to see that Ryouta was coming from the right hand side.
Tobi merely allowed Ryouta to pass through him once more, and then delivered a kick towards Ryouta.
But as he did, Ryouta pulled his kunai in the way, and forced him to become intangible when he did so.
Ryouta inhaled and exhaled as he stared at the man before him.
"Ryou, you don't have to fight against me. I'm not going to harm you."
"...You also killed members of the Uchiha, didn't you?"
"I did yes."
He admitted so casually Ryouta had to wonder if he was even a human with any kind of emotions.
"...You're also the reason Shi-chan died."
"I didn't do that, Sugaru did that."
Tobi clarified, but Ryouta shook his head.
"You attacked Shi-chan and me...you did it all Tobi...you had a hand in what happened that night to my brother..."
Tobi tilted his head.
"I did attack, but there was reasons behind that. All I want is to make you strong. I didn't have any intentions of allowing you to die, I also didn't want Shisui to die either. He could've been a very strong member for me to use, but alas...he's disappeared from the world now, so you his little brother will have to continue on and be the man I want you to be, the perfect Uchiha who will change this very world."
Ryouta didn't like the sound of that, so he pulled away.
Tobi though put his hand forward.
"Your eyes, awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan, didn't they?"
Ryouta didn't want to reveal anything to Tobi.
"...If they did or didn't isn't your concern."
Ryouta told him bluntly.
But Tobi chortled as if he found it truly funny.
"It is, because I'd like to see the power you have. If you've got an amazing Genjutsu power, or some other kind of power...I'd like that for the group I'm in, for us to fulfil the destiny that you have Ryou. It's time to fulfil it, become the strongest-"
"Leave me alone!"
Ryouta defiantly yelled, and rushed back.
Tobi was fast, catching him within moments, and his hand extended towards Ryouta.
At the same time, his eye began to have a swirling pattern.
Ryouta felt panic grow within him.
He felt scared.
He didn't want to go with Tobi.
He didn't know what Tobi would do if he did get his hands on him.
"S-Shi-chan..."
He whispered, hoping against all hope that Shisui would come and save him.
However, something else did instead.
As Tobi tried to grab Ryouta, his Mangekyou Sharingan manifested once more.
His left eye began to bleed as a swirl in space began to appear.
Out from that swirl in space, just before his eye, some liquid shot out.
It looked like water...no, it seemed to be acid, flooding the area, and before Tobi could activate his Kamui, the acidic substance hit his hand and melted through some of his hand.
He saw buildings melting as well as the ground below him.
He was left with a hole in his hand, and if it wasn't for his natural healing ability, the hole in his hand would have been enough to effectively make his hand unusable. And the speed, if trained, would be enough to kill many people.
"What a power...he's able to summon acid quickly...no, it wasn't that. Before it came out...it seemed like space was distorting...a Space Time Jutsu perhaps? ...So, did he connect...to another plane of existence? ...Or did he create it...? No...it was definitely a portal...he's able to connect to other places...maybe even other dimensions? ...Still, a few seconds later, and I would have been killed in that sea of acid...I'll have to keep my wits about me and not let my guard down."
Tobi thought, seeing the results of his power first hand.
He didn't even want to think about how it could be used in the future.
But as he was thinking, he noticed that Ryouta's chakra had gone deeper into the Compound, trying to get away from him.
"Heh...so he's trying to lure me away from the others...pretty smart boy..."
Tobi looked at his now healed hand, and though it was painful, he began chortling, it couldn't have gone better, now he was seeing the true power of Ryouta's eyes.
Making it to the house of Satsuki, Ryouta cautiously ran inside. He wanted to make sure that Fugaku, Satsuki and Mikoto were okay. He couldn't find them anywhere, and he didn't want any of them to be dead.
Silently making his way through the house, Ryouta hoped he'd find them alive, and safe.
But as he walked through the hollow house, he heard the sound of groaning.
To his worry, he believed it was Fugaku.
He quickly and quietly made it to the room, pulling the door back.
His eyes looked inside, and he couldn't see Itachi's chakra colour, so he made his way inside.
Looking around…
It was messed up, and bloody.
The ground below was covered in blood, and the walls had slices of blood looking as if Itachi had flung his sword that way to dry his sword, Ryouta placed a hand to his mouth, looking at the bodies on the ground.
He saw Mikoto, and Fugaku.
"No...No..."
The former wasn't moving at all, and the latter seemed to be barely hanging on.
He couldn't see Satsuki, he didn't know if that was a good thing or not.
He moved towards Mikoto, bending down, and saw the blood pooling around her.
"Mikoto-san..."
Ryouta placed his hand on her wounds, but the blood kept coming out.
He quickly ripped off his shirt, and placed it to her wound to try and stop the blood flow.
"Come on Mikoto-san..."
Ryouta pleaded, as he pressed against her wound, he couldn't see her making any movemenets at all.
As time went on, Ryouta wasn't sure if he'd be able to save her.
"Mikoto-san...please..."
Ryouta continued doing what Izumi had taught him, trying to help Mikoto, save her from this fate.
But Fugaku stuck out his hand, igniting slight fear from Ryouta.
"...Boy...is that...you…?"
Ryouta looked around for Itachi once more.
He couldn't see anything, so he continued trying to help Mikoto while speaking with Fugaku.
Ryouta was able to see pain...sadness...and regret within his eyes.
Fugaku breathed in sharply, seeing how hard it was for the elder man, Ryouta tried to help him out.
But Fugaku pushed his hands away, for reasons Ryouta didn't know.
"Fugaku-san...if I don't help you...t-then you'll..."
For Satsuki...he wanted to at least try and save her Father.
But Fugaku was against it, he wouldn't allow Ryouta to come close.
"...I'll...be dead...in a minute...boy..."
Ryouta looked down at the ground.
"...I'm sorry..."
"...Don't apologize...this is...my own fault...I caused this...with my...o-own hands..."
Ryouta could barely just look on.
It wasn't in him to just sit back and watch someone die.
Even if it was futile, he wanted to try and save Fugaku and Mikoto.
"Fugaku-san...please...let me...let me help you."
Ryouta, remembering Shisui's words, and his own heart…wanted to help.
But Fugaku refused each time.
"...I...I am dying...don't...waste your...energy...on me...Ryouta..." Fugaku breathed in sharply, Ryouta's eyes lowering. "...I...I want...to say...what I did to you...what I didn't...do for you...all of my actions...what I caused...you to feel..."
"T-That doesn't matter now..."
Ryouta didn't want Fugaku to have to die in anguish both physically and emotionally.
He didn't want to have Fugaku suffer more than he already was.
That was the kindness that Shisui had taught him, and what he naturally possessed combing together.
But Fugaku continued on.
"It does…I...I caused...you...pain...I was...depressed. Your...Mother...was someone I trusted with my life...your Father was my best friend. When your Mom...gave birth to you...I should...have embraced you...but, my anger...clouded my judgement...and I fell...into a cycle...I never...could escape...and you...suffered...as a result. Looking at you...all I can see...is your Mother...her kind eyes...her smile...her sense of humour...her laugh...when I looked at you...I felt my own anger...for not being able to save her. I couldn't...save my...best friend...and I...selfishly...took it...out on you..."
Ryouta could see that Fugaku's eyes were growing dimmer, he was going to die within a minute or so, and there was nothing Ryouta could do.
Hearing this now was bittersweet.
It was painful to hear.
He wished that Fugaku had said this earlier, so they could truly talk about it.
Get all of their feelings out.
But as it was, Ryouta had to listen and wait for what was going to happen next.
Wanting to give Fugaku one last chance, Ryouta silently listened.
Fugaku began coughing, blood came out of his mouth and ran down his face.
"I...I wish...I had...more time...to tell you how I feel...but all I can say...Uchiha will be fine...with you and Satsuki. You two will be the new...era of Uchiha...and I know you'll be able...to wash away...the sins of people like me..."
Ryouta understood.
He wanted Uchiha to thrive.
It made sense to the young boy.
"W-We'll try...We'll do our best."
Fugaku's hand reached out, and placed itself on top of Ryouta's head.
It didn't feel negative.
It actually felt positive.
Something that Ryouta hadn't felt from Fugaku...ever.
"...I have...no right...to ask this...now...but, please take care...of my daughter. I want you to...be with her...when I cannot. She'll need you...she will need someone...emotionally strong...and you...Ryouta...you are strong...stronger than I ever could be..."
Ryouta nodded as tears came to his eyes.
"Y-Yes...of course...I'll always...be there for her..."
Fugaku, despite being in pain, began to smile.
"Thank you...I'm sorry..."
Ryouta steeled himself, and grabbed Fugaku's hand.
Peering deep into the dying man's eyes, Ryouta inhaled sharply, and delivered words he didn't think he'd ever say.
"I...forgive you, Fugaku-san."
Those words...brought immense relief to Fugaku's heart.
If Ryouta meant them or not...not even he knew.
Fugaku had treated him very horribly, and indirectly caused him to suffer by the hands of the other Uchiha.
But Ryouta knew that doing the kind thing...would give Fugaku a peaceful passing.
If there was one thing he could do for Satsuki in this moment, for Fugaku…
It was give him solace, and give him forgiveness.
To forgive Fugaku, was an act of kindness Ryouta had to give him.
Fugaku began crying, and whispered "Thank you..." before his eyes closed moments later.
Ryouta silently cried as he continued to hold onto Fugaku's hand.
He stayed there for over half a minute, and just watched over Fugaku.
All of the feelings he had for Fugaku...now that he was dead, he couldn't hold onto them anymore.
He was at least able to give Fugaku some peace.
"...I'm sorry, Fugaku-san...I'm so sorry...I couldn't save you...but I'll...protect Satsuki-chan...with my life...I'll...do Uchiha proud...and make it...better...you'll be with my Mom...Dad and Shi-chan now...they'll be with you again..."
As he whispered that, he continued trying to help Mikoto the best he could.
He didn't know if it was working.
As he tried to save Mikoto, the door opened.
His eyes shot for the door, and he saw Itachi coming in.
"Itachi..."
Ryouta gasped, but before he could do anything, Itachi's eyes shifted to the Mangekyou.
Ryouta panicked, seeing the eyes, and knew something might happen.
But before he could do anything, Itachi made the first move.
Locking eyes with Ryouta, Itachi uttered only one word, and that was "Tsukuyomi." which transported Ryouta to a completely different world within Itachi's Genjutsu...

So the massacres begun! Before it did, Izumi spent one last time with Ryouta, worrying for him, and also worrying for Itachi, wanting to make sure that he could come back to the village one day, seeing him for the good man that he truly is, even if Itachi isn't so sure right now.
Then Itachi came after Ryouta, and wanted to do one last thing, but Ryouta fought back, managing to manifest his Susanoo arm to slam Itachi away, and again later on managing to use his Mangekyou Sharingan ability, what it fully can do will be explored later on, for now, Ryouta showed the ability to flood the area with acid, more of it shall be shown as time goes on but I can confirm it is a Space Time Jutsu.
Ryouta also had a heart to heart with Fugaku while trying to help Mikoto, and gave him some peace before he died.
Then Itachi cast Tsukuyomi on Ryouta, what Ryouta's going to see we'll see next time. All I can say is that it might be surprising what is shown.
And I can confirm next chapter is the last chapter before we reach canon time!

Some had said about Anko's lack of power, which is a fair point since she didn't show much in canon, in this she'll be showing more things than she did in canon, things I believe would be a natural progression of her already established abilities, and maybe another elemental release or two, she'll be a good Sensei, grow into the role of being one, and Yamato will still have a role, he might even end up teaching Ryouta something as well as some others.
