Pinkflamingwarriorofjustice; Izumi will come back eventually, there's a few story related reasons why Izumi's going with Itachi, some I can't spoil just yet. She'll be watching Ryouta from a distance. Ryouta and Satsuki will be together. He'll eventually learn the entire truth, he'll have some suspicions about the night before learning fully.

ShadowUzumaki55; Yeah, it's quite sad, this chapter has some happy in it though~ Izumi's got her own stuff to do yeah, she'll be appearing again~ Glad you liked it! Yeah, he managed to summon Susanoo, and even a portal to a different dimension. Ryouta knows something is wrong, not fully what it is yet, but he is aware. And he'll try his best to find out what it is. Fugaku did yeah, he managed to help Ryouta, who in turn helped some others, and yeah, we learned quite a bit on Fugaku's mind when it came to Ryouta, and why he felt the way he did, but Ryouta gave him peace and allowed Fugaku to pass on happily. Hehe, Tobi was always gonna try one last time, but got surprised when Ryouta used his own Space Time Jutsu to blast him away. I've got some cool ideas on how his portals are going to play into his fighting style.

Silver crow; Thanks! Yeah, she'll be the Sensei. Yup, he showed off his Susanoo, and one of his eyes abilities, what the other can do we'll see in the future. He did yeah, Fugaku got out what he truly felt, and Ryouta forgave him, allowing Fugaku a peaceful passing. We'll see what happens. Yeah, bittersweet time between them. She and Konan will have a good friendship. Maybe he could yeah. One day they'll be together again. Itachi did yeah, he didn't want her to suffer. Even if he is confused by Itachi's actions, he still wont back down if he's being attacked. Yeah, if Izumi's threatened Ryouta wont hold back. Same goes for anyone he loves. He's endured quite a bit of pain in his life, so being able to do that I thought would make sense. It is easier now yeah, he can begin again. He did manage to save some yeah. Tobi might be onto something yeah~ Yup, that's one of the powers. Quite tense~ All I can say is that part of the story will be different when it comes. Maybe the Sound Four could be handled like that. That would be cool with Zetsu. He could've gotten it from Shisui, a crow. Anko could do. We'll have to wait and see what happens with her. Satsuki will do yeah. The wave arc is going to be a big Haku arc. He'll have some romantic moments during part 1, the relationships will develop a good deal. He might be with Satsuki by then. Yeah could be said. Cinders past is rather sad huh, maybe something like that could happen. Yeah, he's had quite the rough childhood, he'll have happy times, canon will have show some happy times for him. It's just what he calls him. He'll be quite good with seals. Ryouta vs Pain would be a cool fight. He might have a few things to say. Yeah, they could go after Kabuto. He probably would have some kind of unique ability with it yeah. We'll see what happens with Kaguya. We'll have to wait and see~ He could be like that with Toneri. I'm sure Karin will have a view like that. It could be yeah. She would call him Sensei yeah. He might meet them over the time skip~ If they fight he might be able to tell that. Izumi is going to have a big role yeah. Lets see if she does.

Ryouta did his best, showing what he knows, what he awakened to fight off the enemy. Satsuki will appear this chapter, showing where she's been. He could make gifts like that~ Yeah, if the need arises, he'd step in and protect them. Yeah, I wish it was revealed before he died also, so it might happen here~ I can understand how you feel there, quite valid points.

Ryouta's Mom was good friends with Kushina and his Dad with Minato, more will be shown when we get to a flashback about them which will come eventually~ That would be cool if they did say something like that about their relationship. War Sage; Thanks! Yeah, her abilities will be expanded upon, and show some cool ways to fight. Kurenai's a possible one yeah. Maybe something like that could happen. Yeah, Danzo got away with quite a bit in canon. Yeah, Hiruzen wouldn't allow the elders to get in the way with that. I feel as if Itachi, if not Tobi, would target the Ninja and former Ninja first in case they try to mount a resistence. Yeah, a silver Susanoo~ One of his abilities is to open portals. He will do yeah, he'll do his best to make use of them when he needs to use them, like an ace up his sleeve kind of thing. That's a good theory, it sounds quite reasonable to say it is like that. Moegi's got Wood Release in Boruto and we don't know how she did yet, so maybe that theory could apply to her. Yeah, not sure it is given a true number, I presume it had a good few hundred at least. It's down to a handful now, including Ryouta, Satsuki, Izumi and Itachi. They will be yeah~ Those would be cool gifts. Thanks for the harem suggestions!

Brainstorm Sorcerer; Yeah, quite the hard chapter huh? Ryouta does yeah, he knows something's going on, he isn't fully aware of it just yet. Itachi is one of my favourites also. Izumi did yeah, she wanted it to be a normal time before things were about to get horrible. Ryouta doesn't give up, even when he's fighting a battle that could be seen as a losing one, he'll continue until he can't anymore. Fugaku might've passed something onto him~ Yeah, we saw his Mangekyou in action, we'll find out what the other eye does when the time comes to use it. He can tell Hiruzen now~ He might have a few different snake ones, I think Garaga would be the main but he could have some others. Manda and Ryou, that would be an interesting meeting considering how Manda views people in general. When he's older his chakra would act like that. Fugaku's eyes could be yeah. Haha, I've got some fun scenes between Ryou and Ao. We'll see Hiruzen's reaction this chapter. He could gain a reputation yeah~ Yeah, he's able to open portals, to his own and different dimensions. We'll see him summon all sorts of things like lava, and acid, among other things. Cladding a snake in Susanoo would be awesome. Ryouta will defend his clan yeah. I guess he would be considered that among Konoha now with all other Ninja Uchiha are gone. Yeah, Anko won, she'll be a worthy Sensei I believe with the expansion of abilities I'll be giving her. What Itachi's done with Tsukuyomi is going to be a rather nice thing, even if he passes it off as something other than what his intention is, a gift. Satsuki is going to come across quite the destruction. Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying my story~ We'll be seeing some of what Ryou has learned in the next chapter, when his first major battle comes we'll see more of what he's been learning during the time skip.

The Uchiha downfall part two!
"Hey Ryou! Time to get up!"
Ryouta heard the voice of a man that he knew all too well as he laid in his bed. The young child felt his toes curling, his body squirming at the voice.
Hope rose within him, and he began to smile.
Could it really be...him?
The man that he wanted to see one more time.
He grabbed his clothing, and he rushed down the stairs.
Stood there without any sadness, or pain, all Ryouta could see is how he remembered this person, with his bright, and cheerful nature.
Tears filled the young boys eyes, and his heart beat rapidly in his chest...
"S-Shi-chan!"
"Hey Ryou! What's wrong all of a sudden huh?"
Shisui smiled as Ryouta shed the happiest tears he ever had done in his life.
He rushed his elder brother, and practically leapt into his arms.
Shisui caught the young boy, and held him tightly within his arms.
"What's wrong Ryou?"
"I-I thought you had died! I missed you so much Shi-chan!"
Shisui gave a curious stare, before patting Ryouta's head.
"I look good for a dead man, don't I~?"
Shisui chortled out, Ryouta began doing the same.
"But...what about Tobi…? And Itachi-kun...I don't understand..."
As he said it, Itachi came walking into the room, together with Izumi.
Ryouta became worried when seeing Itachi...
But Itachi was how he remembered he was before...the same second elder brother like figure he was before.
"Hey, hey, hey Ryou-kun~" Izumi greeted, and saw Ryouta's tears, yet happy expression. "Geez, what did you say Shisui-kun? He's crying."
"Haha, I don't know what happened, he said he thought I had died."
"Eh…? Died?"
Izumi murmured, while Itachi gave a chortle.
"It seems that Ryou might've had a bad dream."
Ryouta blinked.
A bad...dream?
That's a bad dream…
So, was this a reality?
He didn't know…
But seeing his elder brother again, being with him again…
It was the best.
Fugaku, Mikoto and Satsuki then came into the room.
"It seems like a party's going on in here."
Fugaku had a smile on his face, as Mikoto placed a hand to her face with a small giggle.
"It is rather early for a party, isn't it?"
Satsuki rushed towards Ryouta.
"Ryou come on, lets go. We've got school."
Ryouta looked at Shisui who gave a bright smile.
"Shi-chan...you're not going anywhere?"
Ryouta said with hope in his voice.
"No, I'm not going anywhere."
Ryouta gave a bright smile.
All he ever wanted, was this.
Just having some kind of happiness.
That's all he ever wanted.
But then as he was smiling, out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone walking by the window.
A woman with long white hair, her eyes focused towards him.
A piercing gaze that Ryouta couldn't even begin to fathom about.
"W-Who's..."
Before he could ask, the woman vanished in thin air, perplexing the boy.
Shaking his head, he turned back to his brother, who smiled brightly towards him, so Ryouta did the same thing.
Jumping forward a few years, Ryouta's graduation exam had come about, and Ryouta, who was now twelve years old, passed with the highest marks. Shisui looked on with pride on his face as Ryouta finally got his headband. Not just Ryouta, but Satsuki, Naruko, Sakura, Ino, Hinata, Karin, and Haku, even Lee was stood there who had passed a year earlier, all receiving their headbands, marking them as Ninja.
"One step closer to becoming Hokage!"
Naruko cheered out, while Haku smiled.
"Yes...and I'll also become a great Ninja for this village that took me in."
Ryouta smiled at the girls as they spoke, seeing Lee coming closer.
"Aah! My rival is finally a Ninja! It is time for us to pick up the pace in our heated rivalry!"
"Haha, it seems that we might have to do that~"
Ryouta smiled out, as they bumped fists together.
Izumi and Itachi stood off to the side, together with Fugaku and Mikoto, looking towards Satsuki with pride.
"Ooh God, I'm so happy. They've graduated at the same time~ They'll be fine Ninja's together, I'm sure~"
Mikoto smiled out, Fugaku nodded.
"One day, I'm sure they'll make a great couple together, Uchiha will be safe with those two in the future, now that Itachi's leader of the Anbu. He has to many duties."
Itachi offered an awkward look while Izumi jabbed him in the right hand side.
"Yeah, this ones too achieving, leaving me in the dust like this~"
"I'd never leave you, Izumi."
Izumi blushed at the words, as Ryouta heard the conversation, smiling at the sight.
He then turned to his elder brother as he did so.
"Hehe, look at this Shi-chan! I'm one step closer to you!"
Shisui smiled.
"Right! And guess what?"
Ryouta cocked his head.
"What?"
"I'm going to be your Sensei~ Though, I can't take it easy on you~"
Ryouta shrugged his shoulders, a smile adorning his face.
"That's okay! I'll work harder and harder! I'll become Chunin, Jonin and beyond!"
"Haha, I'm sure that you will~ We'll be the most fearsome Uchiha on the battlefield!"
Ryouta grinned up at his elder brother, more determined than ever to become the greatest Ninja.
But then, again...
She was there.
Within a crowd of people, the woman with long white hair, he could see her eyes more clearly now, and her appearance.
She looked beautiful, yet otherworldly.
He couldn't explain it.
She seemed regal, elegant, yet her emotions were hard to discern.
As if she was keeping them buried.
"W-Who are you?"
The woman just stared at him, before she moved behind a few people, out of view.
When Ryouta rushed to find her...she again was gone.
"Who is she...?"
Ryouta murmured, trying to understand what he was seeing.
A year later, Ryouta and Satsuki took part in the Chunin exams, and had to fight one another in the final rounds. The crowds in the stands roared, and Ryouta saw Shisui in the stands, looking down together with the others around.
Izumi sat with Itachi, and watched on with keen eyes, ready and waiting to see what was going to happen next.
"Come on then Ryou! Show me your stuff!"
Ryouta chortled, and did just that.
Getting into a fighting position, they charged at one another, and clashed blades.
Smiles adorned their faces as they came at one another again and again. Neither had the clear difference in abilities, and both showed tremendous power thanks to being taught by their respective brothers, clashing with strong fire release, and other nature releases that they had mastered.
The fight ended with the pair drawing, as Hiruzen looked on with a smile on his face.
"Both Uchiha were very valiant in their battle, and showed true prowess of Chunin class. Therefore, I have no choice but to promote both Ryouta, and Satsuki to the rank of Chunin!"
Ryouta grinned, going towards Satsuki, who looked pleased also.
"Yes! That's my brother!"
Shisui yelled loudly, while Itachi showed a slight smile.
"They've both highly skilled, it seems."
Izumi next to him smiled along, nodding gently.
"You're right, they have some unique skills~"
Fugaku and Mikoto watched, and were both pleased with what they were seeing.
Satsuki, without thinking, she pressed her lips against Ryouta's own.
The crowd paused, watching the pair of Uchiha allowing their bodies to come closer as they deepened their kiss.
Sakura, Karin and Ino all yelled "NOOOOOOOO!" while Naruko looked baffled on what to do. Haku looked sad, but also happy at the same time that Ryouta had become happy.
Satsuki pulled away, a surprise amount of embarrassment came to her face.
"I'm sorry...I didn't..."
"No...I'm glad...because I...also like you...Satsuki-chan."
Satsuki allowed a smile to appear on her face, as she hugged Ryouta who held her back.
Becoming Chunin together paled compared to the love that they shared with one another.
However, within the crowds, sitting beside Shisui who didn't seem to notice her presence, was the same woman once more.
Watching him again, but didn't say a word.
Ryouta blinked, rubbing his eyes...
However, when he looked again, she was already gone.
At the tender age of eighteen, Satsuki and Ryouta had completed many missions. Ryouta had progressed to the rank of Jonin together with Satsuki between the ages of fourteen and eighteen, standing on the same level as Shisui now, and he couldn't be more happier.
Ryouta and Satsuki also had another thing going on between them.
They had been dating for a good number of years now, and now, they were in the middle of a wedding ceremony.
With the family and friends gathered around, Shisui who was with Ayame and had a two year old girl with them, the pair wearing wedding rings, Itachi and Izumi who had married the year previous to them and Izumi was carrying a baby boy, Fugaku, and Mikoto, they all watched as the pair stood together, readying to be married.
Shisui continued to smile at the sight, as he held up his daughter.
"Look baby, Uncle Ryou is getting married~"
"Yay Uncle Ryou!"
Ryouta smiled towards his Niece, then turned towards Satsuki.
"Satsuki-chan...I love you."
"I love you, I always will."
They linked hands, as they said their vows, and became husband and wife...
But as he did, she appeared again.
The woman with white hair, her eyes staying on his form.
He rushed towards her, but she moved behind a few people.
Getting there...she was gone again.
What she wanted...he didn't know at all.
Two years later, and Satsuki had given birth to Ryouta's child. A young baby boy, that had black hair, but with some silver mixed in like Ryouta's own. Satsuki sat within the bed, Ryouta sat beside her, as they cradled their child together.
"He's perfect, isn't he Ryou?"
"Yes...and he's rather feisty, like you Satsuki."
"Naturally. He's our child after all. He'll be a crazy little Ninja, especially with your genes."
Ryouta stuck out his tongue, as Satsuki gave a playful smile.
"Maybe...but he's still perfect...geez, I didn't think we'd ever have you little guy...your Mommy always keeps trying to go onto the battlefield."
"That's because I'm a Ninja."
"Yup, I know~ It's one of the reasons I love you Satsuki."
Satsuki smiled, as the pair locked lips for a brief moment.
But just then, the door opened, revealing Shisui coming in on his own.
"The others will be here in a minute. I wanted to come first...aah, Ryou, he looks like you~"
"Maybe...but, he's got your name, Shi-chan."
Shisui looked stunned.
He even gained some teary eyes.
"Y-You...named him...after me?"
Ryouta nodded.
"Of course…I talked to Satsuki about it...and she agreed. I couldn't think of a better name than yours...so say hello to the baby Shisui Uchiha~"
"The superior one."
Satsuki jokingly said as Shisui scowled.
But that was soon replaced with a smile as Ryouta presented the baby to Shisui.
"Do you want to hold him?"
"Hehe...yeah, that would be great."
Shisui took the baby off of Ryouta, and held him close.
Ryouta sat back with his wife, and leaned his head against her own.
Shisui cradled the baby as Ryouta smiled at his elder brother.
But then he felt eyes on him again, turning he saw her, the same woman looking towards him.
He threw open the window, and peered at the woman who did the same thing.
Tilting her head, she turned around when Ryouta yelled "Wait!" so the woman looked back.
"Who are you...? What are you doing here?"
The woman's eyes went towards his own, before her neck tilted towards the right.
"...Not ready...not yet."
Ryouta was even more perplexed than before.
But she then vanished into thin air, Ryouta blinked, and looked back towards Shisui, who smiled towards him.
So Ryouta moved back, and grinned at his elder brother, and his wife.
Years and years flew by, Ryouta became known throughout the world as one of the strongest Uchiha ever produced, on the level of Madara, and above. Satsuki also had the same level of recognition, Ryouta even got his wish to be with his brother on the battlefield.
The pair became known as a flee on sight order.
No one dared to confront them.
It was the best dream he could ever have.
After becoming Jonin and getting married, Ryouta began running his own Genin squad, passing on the teachings that Shisui had passed onto him.
He became a Hokage later in life, the first Uchiha Hokage.
He became someone that was known through the world, fought together with his elder brother, had a family together with Satsuki, watching Itachi and Shisui both start families of their own with Izumi and Ayame. Mikoto and Fugaku becoming proud Grandparents.
Peace settled with the world.
Then watching his own child start a family, and had another boy, Ryouta becoming a Grandfather.
Being able to spend many years together with Shisui as the fastest duo in the world.
Izumi and Itachi also watched their child grow, Izumi retired from Ninja life, and settled down with Itachi. Though Izumi ended up running the hospital in Konoha, while Itachi continued leading the Anbu, all serving under Ryouta.
Shisui and his wife Ayame raised their child together, Shisui eventually owned the ramen store after many years of being one of its best customers and ran it together with his wife, Naruko, and Ryouta were frequent customers, along with their own families.
The life Ryouta lived through...couldn't have been any better.
He got to live the life that he should have lived.
Together with Shisui, Satsuki, Itachi, Izumi, Fugaku, Mikoto and everyone around them, all loving him and in turn, he loving them…
Back within reality, outside of Tsukuyomi's imaginary world, the still young child Ryouta stared up at Itachi.
The powerful illusion of Tsukuyomi was able to bring Ryouta into his own world were time was Itachi's thing to control, and he showed a slide-show of moments that brought Ryouta happiness. Even if only in the real world a second or so had passed, perhaps even less than that.
Ryouta's face curled upwards as tears slid down his face.
His eyes looked vacant, but he seemed...happy.
Happier than he had been in a long time since Shisui's death, and that was thanks to Itachi.
"That was a life, I stole away from you."
Itachi said with coldness.
Though Itachi wanted to make it seem as if he showed Ryouta that to be cruel.
In fact, Itachi hoped the opposite, and that Ryouta could have that as a lasting beautiful memory, the only thing Itachi could do now.
But Ryouta's eyes overwhelmed with tears as his consciousness faded.
"...Shi-chan..."
Ryouta collapsed onto the floor, knocking him unconscious, but he was so happy as he did, a smile burst on his face.
"Aaah..."
Itachi collapsed to his knees, his eye bleeding from using such a Jutsu.
He knew Ryouta wouldn't suffer too much with this, he'd eventually wake up, but he felt like for Izumi, for Shisui...Ryouta deserved to see a life that could have been.
It was the only gift that Itachi could give to the boy now.
He knew that Ryouta's life would be even more difficult from this moment.
But for a single time...Ryouta lived a perfect life.
A life Itachi believed that Ryouta would be happy in.
Living, loving and being able to be with Shisui.
It was the best life that Itachi could envision for Ryouta.
Though it did take a good deal of chakra...he felt as if he owed Shisui this.
He couldn't prevent a tragic event from taking place.
But one last time, he could give Ryouta, and Shisui time together.
Even if it was only an illusion.
He moved towards Ryouta, and looked over the young boy.
"Ryou...I'm sorry...please, take care of Satsuki for me...she'll need you now..."
Though Ryouta didn't hear him, Itachi knew that Ryouta would do that for him.
Itachi looked at the bodies of his Mother, and Father, then finally looked down at Ryouta.
He knew Satsuki would be arriving soon, so he had to be prepared for what was going to happen next.
Though Itachi then thought back to the Genjutsu, and thought "Who was that woman in white? I didn't create her..." but then shook his head, knowing he'd have to be ready.
As that was going on, Izumi quietly went into the Compound, and saw the destruction.
She steeled her will, and tried to not focus on the death around her, deciding to go and see her Mother.
Going into the house, she didn't have to walk very far, before seeing her Mother on the couch, her body in a comfortable position, and having only one visible wound.
Izumi concluded that Itachi used a Genjutsu on her Mother, and ended her life peacefully, something Izumi truly did appreciate even if she hated this situation.
"Mom...I'm so sorry...that I couldn't be with you...at the end. I wish...I could've...been here." Tears came to the young girls eyes as she stepped closer, placing a hand on her Mother's deceased face. "Dad...Mom...I promise to always be kind...you like you wanted. I might...not be the strongest...but I will be strong...for you, and Dad...you'll be together now..."
Izumi continued to cry as her Sharingan eyes began to change shape.
Changing to a different design that resembled three flower petals on a black background with each flower petal shining a red colour, signifying her Mangekyou Sharingan awakening, Izumi stared at her Mother's body for over a minute, before she heard a sound behind her.
"Even now...Tobi. When my Mother..."
"I was just checking up on you, that's all."
Izumi turned back to meet the lone eye of Tobi staring at her.
"You have, now if you don't mind, I'd like to be alone with my Mother."
Tobi gave a bemused look at the distraught Izumi.
"Then I'll leave, though I see you've awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan. Fitting, your Father's death awakened your Sharingan, your Mother's awakened your Mangekyou Sharingan. Now I'm curious to the powers it is going to have."
"Power...I don't care about power right now..."
"Because you'll not fall to the Uchiha's Curse of Hatred, like Ryouta hasn't."
Izumi looked at her Mother briefly, before turning back to Tobi.
"I've got too much to lose if I fall into hate."
"That's good, then I'll be seeing you really soon~"
Izumi glared as Tobi disappeared.
She then turned to her Mother, before taking out a medical kit.
Looking at her Mother's face, Izumi moved closer towards the young deceased woman, and did what she needed to do.
Meanwhile, Satsuki was walking back home after not being able to see Itachi. She didn't know why he didn't turn him, especially after waiting for a good while away from the Compound.
As she did walk towards the Uchiha compound however, she saw a few Uchiha running towards her, confusing her. She saw a few more elderly and civilians. Good people that she had seen before, but she didn't see any Ninja Uchiha.
Teyaki saw the young girl, and breathed a sigh of relief.
"You're here Satsuki-chan! That's such a relief!"
"W-Why do you sound panicked?"
The girl asked, only for Teyaki to look on uncomfortably.
Uruchi looked on for a few moments, before exhaling swiftly.
"We have to go before they find us, we need the villages help!"
"B-But, with what?"
Teyaki looked uncomfortable as he didn't want to say this to Satsuki. But he knew that she deserved to know the truth. She was going to be finding out eventually anyway.
"...I'm sorry, your brother...he's killing Uchiha."
Satsuki's eyes widened, and her skin turned a pale white.
It...couldn't be true.
Itachi wouldn't do something like that.
"N-No...y-you're lying! My brother-"
"He is." Teyaki said regretfully. "He's...Ryouta-kun is fighting him off..." Teyaki placed a hand to his face regretfully. "...That child has saved our lives..."
"Ryou..."
Satsuki didn't even have to think about it, and she began running to the Compound.
If it was true, she couldn't leave Ryouta alone to die by Itachi's hand.
"Wait dear! Don't!"
"It's too dangerous!"
Despite the calls of the other Uchiha, they didn't get any replies, and could only watch as she sped off into the Uchiha compound.
Running through it, she saw the carnage around her. The blood on the ground, the deceased bodies. It was a bloodbath, everything was dyed in red, and the air held tension that could be cut with a knife, she felt as if she was being watched.
She wondered if it was Itachi.
Or if it was someone else.
She was panicked and didn't know where to turn.
Fighting had gone on, but now the area was quiet.
She presumed that besides the few Uchiha she saw, there weren't any left.
That caused fear to build.
The fact that she didn't hear her parents, or Ryouta…
She continued running through the area.
She didn't even allow her voice to sound out any words.
She decided to return back to her home first, wondering if her parents had taken shelter there and maybe Ryouta.
Getting to her house, Satsuki cautiously walked inside. Her hand went into her weapons pouch and produced a kunai, readying herself for any kind of attack that she could be coming up against, if Itachi truly had been attacking.
She walked through her house, not making a noise at all.
When she reached a certain room, she walked inside with a very slow movement speed.
Stepping inside...she saw the carnage.
Her Mother, her Father…
Both had blood surrounding their bodies.
Tears began to roll down from her eyes, sliding across her cheeks, and hit the floor in small amounts.
But then she saw Ryouta beside them, her body moved towards him.
She didn't see any blood, a good sign to her.
She bent down towards him, and placed a hand on his face.
"Ryou…? R-Ryou."
She whispered, she didn't want to shout in case the attacker was still around.
She felt for a pulse...and she thankfully found one.
She then looked towards his body to see if there were any injuries, and she didn't see anything that would cause him to be passed out. So she could only conclude that he had some kind of Genjutsu thrust upon him, and she knew Ryouta was good at Genjutsu...but Itachi was even better.
She prayed that it wasn't Itachi that had done anything.
She hoped that he hadn't tried anything with Ryouta as well as her parents.
"Satsuki."
She stiffened at the voice.
It ran through her like a cold blade.
Her eyes hesitatingly turned around, and she saw Itachi stood there.
A cold expression on his face.
"B-Big brother…? W-What...did you do…? Mom...Dad...Ryou..."
Satsuki begged him, wanting it to be not true.
Itachi pulled forward, as a kunai came out and tossed towards her.
She moved right, but the kunai cut her cheek, causing her to bleed.
"B-Big brother!"
"It seems that you still don't possess the skills to challenge me."
"C-Challenge?"
Itachi's eyes burned red as he gazed upon the young girl.
He pulled closer, so she pulled back.
"The Uchiha clan...have been executed by myself. I killed them all while seeking a challenge. The closest I got was our own Father, and surprisingly Ryouta Uchiha. But even they weren't a match for me. I didn't have time to kill him...but, when you're out of the way, I'll be able to do so."
Satsuki gasped.
Itachi was...doing this just to test himself?
To kill the clan…
Itachi then used his Genjutsu on the girl.
Showing some true and false visions of him murdering the clan. Taking out innocent people, killing their parents, and even using horrible Genjutsu on Ryouta himself.
The pain of seeing it exploded inside of her mind.
The power of the Genjutsu was so much that she ended up collapsing onto the ground.
Her mouth parted as she felt her body weakening.
The Genjutsu was strong enough to nearly knock her out.
"But you...you aren't even worth killing. You haven't even awakened the Sharingan. Not being able to stand up to that level of power...I am disappointed. All of the time I played the devoted and kind brother you desired, and you didn't show an ounce of potential for me to test my power against. Even after I went through the trouble of killing Shisui."
Satsuki's eyes sprung back to life.
Her body, trembling, pulled herself off the ground.
She gazed up at the man, seeing that his eyes were in the Sharingan form, and his face showed no emotions at all other than a disheartened one.
"...What?"
"To gain the power of the Mangekyou Sharingan, I had to kill the person closest to me, and that happened to be Shisui Uchiha."
"Y-You killed him?!"
Satsuki didn't want to believe it.
The reason why Shisui died...was because of Itachi.
Ryouta suffered...because Itachi wanted power.
The clan died...for Itachi wanting power.
Itachi kept up with the false pretense, making himself out to be the enemy.
"That's right." Itachi gained a slightly sadistic smile as his eyes turned into the Mangekyou. "These eyes, hold great power. You'd have to experience the death of someone extremely close to you...perhaps it would be...him." Itachi's sword pointed towards the unconscious Ryouta. "I'll kill him for you, so you can gain the power."
Satsuki's world began to crumble at that moment.
The idea of losing her Mom...her Dad...now Ryouta also.
All for power.
Power she didn't want if it meant the cost of her life.
"N-No...please...no..."
She begged again and again.
She couldn't lose him after losing her parents.
It was too much.
Since the pain was already real in her eyes, the power of the Sharingan was beginning to manifest. Her eyes, were beginning to turn red. Tears slid out of her eyes, with her eyes
Itachi raised an eyebrow.
"Don't you want the power to kill me?"
"N-Not at losing Ryou!"
"The power you'd gain would be able to stand up to my own power."
Satsuki's anger boiled over.
The pain of losing her parents.
The despair of her clan dying.
Now the thought of losing the last persons she cherished…
Her eyes erupted with chakra, and her Sharingan finally manifested.
Though she only had one Tomoe in each eye.
Itachi looked on as Satsuki took out a few kunai, and tossed them with deadly accuracy for Itachi.
Itachi jumped out of the door with the kunai's following him, so he took out his blade, and deflected the blows, except for one which managed to come close to his face, hitting his headband off of his head, knocking it down to the ground.
Itachi looked back towards Satsuki, seeing that she was charging him once more.
Taking out his blade, he rushed her in a blitz of speed.
She was startled by the speed, but her eyes allowed her to follow Itachi to a degree.
When he got in close, she brought up her kunai, but he deflected with his blade, and grabbed her by the wrist, thrusting her hand down, as he came in with a sharp hit to her shoulder, forcing the young girl down onto the ground.
She winced, and went to try and stand, when she saw Itachi's blade piercing the area before her.
"Until you have the same eyes as myself...you wont be able to ever catch up to me."
"Y-You can't..."
Satsuki angrily began, only for Itachi to lean closer, with a sadistic look on his face, and evil intentions within his eyes.
"...I'll be coming back for Ryouta one day...and I'll kill him. I want a worthy challenge, my own little sister can provide that. But first...the last line of your love has to disappear, and I'll end that boy by my hands in front of you...exactly how I did with his elder brother. Mangekyou Sharingan, you'll gain it at the end of that boys life."
Satsuki felt powerless at Itachi's words.
Ryouta would one day die by Itachi.
She couldn't allow it.
Itachi's eyes caught her own, and he unleashed a powerful Genjutsu on her once more.
One that would knock her out so she didn't attempt to follow him.
As the Genjutsu took effect, the young girl couldn't keep her eyes open, and the light disappeared from her eyes.
However, the last thing she saw was Itachi's eyes on her form, and he had a single tear drop from his eye, pain etched onto his face.
Then...she passed out.
Ten minutes later, within the Uchiha Compound, Danzo, Hiruzen and many Anbu members all loitered around the Uchiha Compound, looking at the bodies of Uchiha, scattered around as if nothing mattered.
Blood all around the Compound made the pair of Hiruzen, and Danzo feel quite sick, but more so than Hiruzen than Danzo.
"This is horrible..."
One member of the Anbu commented, picking up a dead Uchiha's body.
"What in the hell...?"
Another made a comment, disgusted by the amount of bodies around.
Hiruzen looked around at the sights of the bodies and was horrified at what he saw. Seeing all of this wasn't what he wanted, he never wanted the Uchiha to be dealt with like this, it saved the village...but at the cost of so many Uchiha.
However, he steeled himself, and gave out his orders, all the while looking around, looking for Uchiha that needed him and his care, but he was looking for one Uchiha that meant a good deal to him, but couldn't see him.
"Rescue anyone that's alive and take them for immediate medical attention! And the ones that escaped into the village away from this bloodbath, make sure that they're also treated if they are wounded."
[Yes sir!]
After issuing his orders, the Anbu moved out, and did what they could.
Though besides the ones that Ryouta had gotten out...there was only the survivors that Ryouta had managed to get out of the village. Hiruzen had to face that horrible truth. But at the same time, he was glad at least Ryouta managed to save some innocent people.
Hiruzen soon saw Satsuki being carried away, alive which brought relief to his heart.
Then he heard an Anbu say "We've got a live one here!" Hiruzen stopped moving and watched as a purple haired Anbu member brought out Ryouta.
Danzo's lone eye went towards him, and he seemed...relieved.
Something that Hiruzen took note of.
"Don't just stand there, get that boy to the medical unit quickly!"
Danzo issued an order to the woman Anbu who nodded, and swiftly took the boy in her arms and ran away quickly, taking him for treatment.
An Anbu with silver hair bent down to check on another Uchiha, but saw they were dead.
Hiruzen rubbed the bridge of his nose, and turned to face the silver haired man.
"Take the corpses away. Check everywhere, just in case some people have been missed."
Hiruzen ordered the others around, who all nodded and went to do their duties. Anbu's went inside of the houses, and into the streets that they hadn't been in before, to see who was still alive, or rather, to find more bodies.
Hiruzen couldn't help but stroke his chin sadly as Danzo stood close by.
"I can't believe it...after trying to achieve peace. This had to happen...to think that even poor Ryouta-kun would have to go through something like this again…it seems that he has put his own life on the line to make sure that the Uchiha make it out of the Compound while he tried to help the others. ...Shisui, you've raised a fine child here, you are a credit to making this boy exactly how he is."
As the elder man concluded his thoughts, an Anbu member with brown hair questioned the silver haired Anbu after listening to what happened with the Uchiha.
"Who could've done this?"
Before the man could answer, another decided to answer instead.
"Itachi Uchiha." Danzo stepped forward and answered the Anbu, everyone turning to see the old man walking closer and closer. "Itachi Uchiha despised the power within the clan. That is why he killed Shisui and took his eyes, then caused in fighting among his brethren...and finally, he caused this atrocity. That's the cold blooded monster Itachi truly is. It is only thanks to Ryouta Uchiha that even some managed to survive."
The male silver haired Anbu leaned forward and looked depressed as a question was raised by him.
"But why would he...? To his own family..."
Hiruzen looked back at them, and clearly wasn't impressed with what direction the conversation was going and let out a stern breath.
"Enough talking, get back to work!"
As soon as Hiruzen said that, the Anbu left by jumping away quickly, leaving Hiruzen, and Danzo alone together.
Danzo, with his walking stick, approached Hiruzen who didn't look pleased in the slightest.
"This settles everything."
Hiruzen's old cold eyes looked towards Danzo, and it was evident that he was quite pissed.
"What does this settle exactly? Men, women, children have been slaughtered, and if it wasn't thanks to the brave actions of the child, of Ryouta-kun, the casualties could've been a total wipeout of Uchiha, so what's good about this situation Danzo? Don't you see the huge problem we've been left with!?"
"I consider it very minor." Danzo countered. "Besides, you said it yourself. Ryouta Uchiha saved the clan, as well. He'll be a hero."
"Ryouta-kun wouldn't of had to be a hero if this didn't happen, and I doubt that he would want to be a hero under these circumstances anyway. And Danzo, I cannot allow you to act any longer." Hiruzen then faced forward away from Danzo's face and wore a very serious expression. "As of this moment, you are relieved of your duties as second in command."
Danzo lowered his head, and wore a pissed expression.
"But Hiruzen, I did it for..."
"The good of Konoha...yes I know." As Danzo was going to explain his reasoning's, Hiruzen shot him a dark look. "Danzo, you're under arrest."
"W-What?"
"I told you in my office after Shisui-kun died, didn't I? That one more action against me or doing anything without my authorization, is going to receive punishment. You're going to be detained, stripped of all the power you have within this village, and confined until judgement can be given."
"H-Hiruzen! You can't do this! I did this for the village! They would've killed everyone without me doing this!"
Danzo complained, trying every little thing he could do in order to weasel his way out of it.
"Maybe they would, maybe it could've been avoided. We'll never know now. You disobeyed me, and now you'll be left with nothing. Just like Uchiha have been."
With that, Hiruzen turned and walked away from the other man, disgusted with his actions in part of this coup, as members of Hiruzen's trusted Anbu came to the side of the elderly Danzo, and began walking him away under protest.
But as he did, Danzo noticed that some of the Anbu suddenly became dazed.
As if something was stopping them from even walking.
"What's..."
"Danzo-sama, the body count doesn't match up."
The one on the right said to the shock of Danzo who opened his visible eye wide.
"What did you say?"
"It's like they just disappeared." The other Root said to Danzo, and then continued to reveal two Sharingan eyes. "I witnessed everything. And I will continue to watch you." The eyes that appeared were Itachi's eyes, the Mangekyou to be exact, and they stared at Danzo. "And if you as so much touch Satsuki, Ryou, or any other clan member again, I will pass on classified info to every enemy nation."
Danzo was visibly stiff as he heard this, but then the other Anbu member revealed some Sharingan, and a wave of brown hair made itself known to Danzo, who recognized it as Izumi Uchiha's hair, as said girl held a scalpel outwards towards Danzo's body, and cast the eyes to his own.
"Ever hurt Ryou-kun...and you'll regret it, trust me. We'll be watching Danzo, always."
After saying that, both Itachi and Izumi disappeared into a flock of crows, greatly shocking Danzo.
The other Anbu then came out of their daze, and continued taking Danzo away.
A good distance away, Izumi and Itachi stood together, with Tobi behind them.
"My, I didn't know you had it in you, Izumi Uchiha."
Izumi's eyes glanced back towards Tobi who offered a small wave of his hand.
"I did it to protect Ryou-kun."
"Yes, we all want to protect Ryou-kun~ Now, are you coming with me to the Akatsuki?"
"There's one more trip we have to make, before we go. We'll meet you there at the location you've given."
Itachi explained, Tobi shrugged.
"Then I'll see you there, Itachi, Izumi."
Tobi used his unique Jutsu to disappear.
Once he was gone, Izumi glanced at Itachi.
"Itachi-kun, what is the last thing you have to do?"
"I want to speak to Hokage-sama, then we can leave. Izumi...I am sorry, your Mother...everyone here..."
Izumi didn't show her face, but he knew she was sad.
"...Yes, I also...did the task you asked me Itachi-kun...with my Mom's..."
"Yes...that's good, it should work with parent and child, in case you also..."
"Yeah…they've awakened Itachi-kun."
Izumi said as she looked at him, Itachi seeing her beautiful red eyes having changed to a different shape.
"Your Mother, I placed her under a strong Genjutsu, allowing her to be with you, and your Father, before I...did what I had to."
Izumi gave a thankful smile.
"Thank you, Itachi-kun." Izumi took his hands, and peered into his eyes. "I know it must've been hard, and chakra consuming for you to do so, I appreciate it. Mom died...peacefully, and that's...all I could ask for."
"It's the least I could do."
Izumi could see the hurt, and pain within Itachi's eyes, so she ran a hand across his face, her gentle touch soothed his soul.
"Lastly, Itachi-kun. Can I ask you for one thing?"
Itachi raised an eyebrow.
"Yes?"
"...I want...to be able to become strong, to be able to actually fight also. Train me...make me stronger...so I don't become a burden...so I don't drag you down. I want to be able to fight right beside you, become strong so I can protect those I love."
"I understand...I'll make you stronger."
Izumi smiled, and lightly kissed Itachi on the cheek, before hugging onto his arm.
"Then I'm ready whenever you are Itachi-kun. The sooner we get there...the sooner we can gather information...and bring down that bastard Tobi….or rather, Madara Uchiha."
Itachi nods, and holds onto her hand.
"Then lets go."
With a movement of their feet, they disappeared from the area.
Back with Hiruzen, he watched as body after body was being removed, and he lowered his eyes.
He just couldn't believe it would happen like this.
However, he then heard something that shocked him.
"Her pulse is barely there, but she's alive!"
Hiruzen quickly moved into the house, and saw who it was who was still alive.
"Quickly, get her to the medical unit!"
"Yes Sir!"
The Anbu quickly lifted the woman's body and disappeared in a burst of speed.
Hiruzen placed a hand on his chest, and exhaled slowly.
Two days after the event of the massacre, Mikoto, having been bandaged and treated for her injuries, woke up in the hospital.
Her eyes darted left and right, murmuring "What..." before a voice spoke up.
"Mom!"
Mikoto's eyes shifted towards Satsuki, seeing her daughter with relief on her face.
"S-Satsuki...I don't..."
"It was Ryouta-kun, he saved your life."
Mikoto's eyes shot for the door, and saw Hiruzen stood there.
Mikoto sat up on the bed, continuing to stare at the elderly Hokage.
She thought about what he said, how Ryouta managed to save her life.
But deep down she also felt like she didn't deserve to be saved either.
"He did Mom, he saved you...he really did!"
Mikoto smiled towards her daughter, placing a hand on top of her head.
"Yes, he did dear...he really did. That boy...he truly is special." Mikoto's eyes went towards Hiruzen, seeing that he wished to speak about something. "Satsuki dear, I need to speak to Hokage-sama alone. We'll have plenty of time to catch up later, okay?"
"Eh...sure, I'll go to Ryou. He hasn't woken up yet."
"I see...yes, go and be with Ryou-kun."
Satsuki nodded, hugged her Mother tightly, before leaving the pair alone.
Awkward silence filled the air, so Mikoto tried to break the ice.
"Hokage-sama..."
"Mikoto, I am glad that you're still alive. However, I need to speak to you..."
Mikoto lowered her eyebrows.
"...I know, it's about what my husband was willing to do...the coup of the village, isn't that right?"
"Yes, you understand that I can't have that happen again. This event...your son had to pay a horrible price, and the Uchiha lost many people that night, including your husband."
Mikoto's eyes went down, and she felt a sudden depression come over her.
"...Please punish me for the actions of my husband and clan."
"Mikoto-san..."
Hiruzen began, but she cut him off, her fingers grabbing the bedsheets before her.
"Please..." She continued, a few tears beginning to roll down her cheeks. "...Because of our actions, many had to suffer, innocent people. I tried...to gain a peaceful solution...but I couldn't, so please Hokage-sama...I'll bare the brunt of the Uchiha now and any punishment that can be given...as I was his wife, I couldn't prevent him from causing mass chaos, and Itachi had to step in and...do what he did."
"I think you've suffered enough, Mikoto-san."
Mikoto was shocked.
She...wasn't going to be punished?
It just didn't make sense to her.
"But after everything that happened..."
"What good would punishing you do now? Satsuki and Ryouta Uchiha don't need to lose you also, they've lost enough."
Mikoto gave a humble smile.
"I'm...I'm very grateful Hokage-sama."
"Still, if this event has taught us anything, it is that we need to work to a better future. Uchiha don't have many left now. You, Satsuki and Ryouta are the only ones that can fight as Ninja, and few elderly civilians survived. Izumi also survived, but she's with Itachi."
"Izumi...why is she with Itachi?"
Hiruzen furrowed his brows.
"There's a few things I need to explain, and it cannot be repeated to anyone other than who I say is trustworthy, is that clear?"
Mikoto nods slowly, so the old man began to explain.
As he did, she was horrified to hear what had been going on.
"...So, that's why Izumi's with him..."
"Yes, that's why Mikoto-san, we need to work to a better future. This Tobi isn't to be taken lightly, and there's this organization also. Your son...he's going to be spying on them and this can't be repeated to the children."
"I agree...that's why, I'd like to come back to active duty, Sir. To support my family, and Uchiha, what's left of us."
Hiruzen inclines his neck.
"Yes of course, I accept. When you've recovered, you'll be back on active duty, I'd like you to become one of my personal Anbu, would that position be acceptable? I thought for a good while about what would be suitable if you had asked, and this will satisfy both you, and those who doubt your loyalties. Being close to me, allows people to see that I am watching you, but personally...I believe that it is not necessary."
Mikoto briefly paused, shocked that he'd give her such an important duty, however she then smiled.
"I'll earn the trust of the village again, I'll do my best to make sure that the future of the village, and Uchiha are secure. The future is Ryouta-kun and Satsuki, until they're ready for that future, I'll do my part and support them, and you Hokage-sama. I'll fulfil any and all duties to the best of my ability."
"The village also has to earn the trust of Uchiha back, we also have fault on our side. We could've handled the situation better, and for that, I can only apologize on our behalf."
"Fault that we can both correct now, Hokage-sama. Lets look to a future were both Uchiha and Konoha coexist."
Hiruzen was glad Mikoto was someone who was level headed, acknowledged the faults of the past, and wished to make amends now, something Hiruzen also wished to do.
"I'm glad to have you back within our ranks, Mikoto-san."
Mikoto gave a strong nod.
"Also...Hokage-sama, about Naruko...you know my friendship with Kushina..."
"...I know how you've felt for that girl and had to keep distance due to various reasons, one being people believing Uchiha might try something with her."
"Then...at least I can watch over the girl, fully now. Even if I have to keep distance...I can make sure she isn't harassed as much as possible...and that she can have a good living, I'll pay for any expense she may have, even if she doesn't or isn't allowed to know. Both Yukine and Kushina were my closest friends, the least I can do is look after their children now."
"That's very kind of you. Then I'll take my leave, get some rest. We'll discuss finer details later on."
Hiruzen took his leave, leaving behind Mikoto who looked down at her bedsheets, and contemplated what had happened over all of this time.
With the Uchiha, with her family, and with her future.
All she knew was that Ryouta saved her...and her son was in a very dangerous position.
But with her daughter still alive and Ryouta with her, she believed the future of Uchiha could truly be secure.
Then she thought about her husband, and silently cried about the loss.
Though he was a man that caused problems, she did love him in the end, she had a family with him, and his loss, hit her rather hard.
Meanwhile Satsuki sat with Ryouta who hadn't woken up yet.
He didn't suffer any major physical wounds, but his mind had been attacked by a powerful Genjutsu, according to the doctors.
She thought that Itachi truly had tried to destroy Ryouta's mind with a Genjutsu.
She held onto Ryouta's hand as she did wait.
When eventually the time arrived, Ryouta's eyes peeled themselves open, and looked towards Satsuki.
"Satsuki-chan..."
Satsuki's eyes met with his own, and she couldn't contain the tears within her eyes.
"Ryou...you're awake..."
The voice she had filled with happiness.
She even cried happily.
She couldn't contain it.
She thought that she'd not be able to see him again like this.
"Yes...what did I...miss?"
Satsuki stiffened, going back to the night of the horrible event.
Ryouta listened quietly to the words Satsuki had to say.
He could hear the pain within her voice.
The sadness that she couldn't explain.
By the end of it, she ended up on the bed next to him, and held onto him as she did so. Ryouta held her back, and comfortably stroked the back of her head, allowing his chin to rest on top of her head as she quietly cried.
"Satsuki-chan...I'm so sorry that I couldn't...do more to stop it..."
"N-No...I'm sorry..."
Ryouta, despite the emotional turmoil he was in, let out a small relieved sound.
"I'm glad you're alive. If you had died too...then I don't know what I would have done. I've already lost Shi-chan...and now Izumi-chan has gone with Itachi...it's so hard to even think about...it's difficult to know on what to do..."
"...Itachi killed nearly all of us Ryou. He...He has to pay for what he's done..."
He could hear the anger in her voice.
It was perfectly understandable why she was so angry.
He also felt the same with Sugaru, with Tobi.
He felt it all deep within himself.
But, he also remembered the letter Shisui gave him...how he couldn't give into darkness.
He didn't want Satsuki to do the same either.
"Yes...but Satsuki-chan...remember, don't give into the hate...it doesn't lead to anywhere good. Trust me...I lost Shi-chan...and it hurt...so much. It still does. Not a day goes by...where it doesn't hurt...but we have to remain together. We are...all we have now. We are the survivors of the Uchiha."
"I know..."
Satsuki murmured.
Ryouta peered into her eyes, and gave a soft smile.
"Then...that anger...you feel right now...don't let it consume you Satsuki-chan."
"I don't know how...my Dad and most Uchiha...are gone...Ryou...only Mom survived...because of you...you saved my Mom...thank you...thank you for saving her..."
Ryouta nodded slowly, and caught her by surprise when he lightly kissed her on the cheek, causing her to have a small redness on her cheeks.
"I'm sorry I couldn't save your Dad...but I'm glad your Mom's alive. And I'll always be with you also. I'll protect you both with my life."
Satsuki truly did appreciate it.
The fact that he did understand what she was going through, the pain she felt was how he felt during Shisui's death.
She allowed her body to curl against his own.
The warmth he offered, gave her the protective feelings she felt she needed.
He didn't mind offering that to her, he wanted to be her support pillar, like she had been in the past for him.
"I...I also talked to your Dad...before he died. He told me...we are...the future of Uchiha. Together...we'll start again. We might be the last Uchiha right now...but we will rebuild. We can...in your Dad's...Shi-chan's...and every Uchiha's name. We'll restore the clan...and make it better."
Satsuki despite the pain she felt, was glad that she had Ryouta by her side.
With him...while it was painful, and she didn't know how she'd continue…
She'd be able to be with someone that understood the pain she felt more than anyone.
"Yes...with us together...we will do it."
Ryouta hoped that Satsuki wouldn't fall into the darkness.
He could hear in her voice how hurt, angry and unsure she felt.
All he could do was be there for her, like Izumi had been with him, and make sure that she'd be safe, no matter whatever else happened.
"Ryou...also, can I...live with you now? Together with Mom. I don't want...us to be apart..."
"Yes...I'd love to live with you, Satsuki-chan."
Satsuki gave a relieved smile, as she pulled him closer.
By accident, their lips collided with one another as Satsuki moved.
For an instance, they shared a small kiss between them, causing them both to blush bright red.
"S-Sorry..."
She apologized as she turned her face since she didn't feel as if she could meet Satsuki's own, but Ryouta shook his head.
"It...It was nice...I really liked it..."
He admitted, Satsuki smiled softly, and gently laid her head on his shoulder.
"I...I liked it too..."
Satsuki murmured as she continued to hold onto him.
His embrace allowed Satsuki to have a calming feeling run through her.
Though she didn't know what the future held…
With Ryouta, she felt as if she'd be able to continue on.
Ryouta himself cast his mind back to the illusion Itachi gave him.
He wished that was his reality.
But he was in this reality, still that didn't mean he'd try his best to make this reality better than it was now.
Remembering the words of Shisui, and Izumi…
He'd do his best.
"Izumi-chan...I don't know what's going on with Itachi...he showed me a vision that made me happy...that's not the actions of a crazed man...no matter what he said. He wanted me to hate him...he showed me a life I could've had, he said it was a life he stole...but he didn't kill Shi-chan, I know he didn't. No matter what he said. But why did he kill the clan? Whatever the reason...I'll find out Izumi-chan...and I'll bring you home…I promise. Until then...please stay alive...I love you, Izumi-chan. I'll become the strongest...the fastest...so we can be together one day...Tobi, he has to be involved in this...he has to be...whoever he is, I'll stop him, so you can come back home...and I'll find out the truth about Itachi that night...but that woman with white hair in the Genjutsu...who was she? And what did she want?"
Ryouta looked out of the window.
With the sun peaking through the blinds, he couldn't help but think of his elder sister figure.
Though he knew something was amiss with Itachi also.
He'd find the reason.
Together with Satsuki...
He then saw a crow flying outside, which caused Ryouta to smile softly.
It took them two days, but eventually Itachi and Izumi arrived at the secret location the Akatsuki were. Izumi didn't know what they actually were, beyond that Tobi didn't want them to reveal anything about himself, and that someone called Pain was the leader of it, while Tobi was the secret leader.
Apart from that, she didn't know what they did, she presumed they did horrible things.
Itachi had promised that he'd take care of anything that had to be done, but Izumi wouldn't allow it, and was going to do her best also.
Making it up a mountain side, Izumi stood there together with Itachi, as she looked between the members present. They all wore the same outfit she was wearing, with the red clouds on them scattered across the black cloak.
The first she saw was a young woman with blue hair, and amber eyes with some lavender beneath said eyes.
Next a young man with black piercings across his face, and in his ears, along with striking orange hair.
There was also another man that was hunched over, and a hat covered his face.
Another man with striking green eyes, and a cloth covering his mouth.
There was even a man that had a venus fly trap around his head, Izumi couldn't see beyond that, though she did feel worried about that one.
There also was a pale man stood there, who glanced at Itachi, and gave a small smirk.
Izumi noticed him and he noticed her, licking his lips.
"Well, it seems two for the price of one Uchiha have joined. Itachi and...you, whatever your name is."
Izumi frowned when he said that.
"Izumi Uchiha."
"Oh...I see."
Izumi didn't like his tone.
How disinterested, and quite rude he was towards her.
"...Who are you anyway?"
"My dear girl, I thought you'd know. We come from the same village."
"Same village...your pale skin...your snake like appearance...ooh my God, you're..."
"Orochimaru, if you weren't aware. You don't hold my interests, so don't bother talking to me again."
Izumi looked at Itachi with bewilderment, who shot a strong look to Orochimaru.
Orochimaru felt a shiver down his spine from the intense look, and backed away slightly from the pair.
Izumi continued looking around, and then…
She saw someone that she never wanted to see.
"You monster..."
Izumi went to move towards him, when Itachi held her back.
The person she stared at was Sugaru, formerly of Danzo's Root, and now member of the Akatsuki seemingly.
"Itachi-kun..."
Itachi glared at Sugaru who looked back without saying anything.
Tobi watched on from a distance, Itachi glanced back towards him.
"Don't worry Izumi, we're all apart of the same group now. He isn't our problem."
Izumi understood what he meant, backing down for the moment.
Though she felt a burning hatred for Sugaru building up.
Having to work beside him...caused her to feel sick in her stomach.
She then looked on as their 'leader' looked out onto the waters below them, before his eyes briefly landed upon her, before turning away from her.
She looked back to the only other female, seeing that she was rather friendly compared to the others, who looked at her, and offered a hint of a friendly smile, so Izumi offered a kind one in return.
"Hello, erm...fellow member of Akatsuki. My name is Izumi Uchiha. Pleasure to meet you."
"Ah yes, welcome to the Akatsuki, my name is Konan. If you have any questions, please direct them towards me and I'll do my best to answer."
"Aah, thank you Konan-san."
Izumi was glad that even if she was in the Akatsuki, there at least seemed to be someone that was somewhat normal.
Her eyes went over the others, seeing a wide range of emotions.
To not having any at all, to having a creepy expression on their faces, Orochimaru being a good example of that.
Whatever was going to happen next, Izumi knew it would be rather dangerous.
But, she would do her best, and one day return home with Itachi.
Danzo meanwhile had been going through his own trials with Konoha, to the point now he was locked behind bars, and had surveillance on him at all times.
With Hiruzen stepping up, and stripping him of his power, all he had now was what was on him.
He didn't know the status of Root since he had been locked away.
The guards he had wouldn't specify anything.
He didn't think Hiruzen would have the heart to do this to him.
But he clearly underestimated Hiruzen.
His arm was sealed, Hiruzen was shocked Danzo went through a good deal of trouble to make sure that only he could unseal the arm, so Hiruzen made sure Danzo didn't have the opportunity to unseal it, whatever was behind the seals. Danzo even guarded his mind against being read, Hiruzen didn't like it in the least.
As he sat there, a change of the guard occurred, and it happened to be some people that Danzo knew, and trusted.
"Danzo-sama...though we have officially been disbanded, we remain loyal to you, Sir."
It was a member from the Yamanaka clan, someone that Danzo knew he could trust.
"...It seems that my years of training wasn't wasted."
"Then, shall we break you out now?"
"If we did, Hiruzen would send his best, and currently, I'm not sure if we can beat Hiruzen. When the opportunity presents itself, we will make a move. Until then, continue to follow my orders, and I'll do what I can from here. With time, that old fool will eventually crumble, and then I'll be able to claim my rightful place as Hokage, along with killing those who had got in my way. Itachi...Izumi...and Ryouta Uchiha..."
The fault with trying to capture Shisui...made him want to gain revenge on Ryouta for it.
If it wasn't for him, Danzo knew that he'd not be in this situation now.
If he hadn't of survived, then Danzo would've been able to get Shisui's Mangekyou Sharingan.
Now he wanted Ryouta's, he was sure that Ryouta had it.
To make him strong, he knew Shisui's little brother would have incredible power.
All he needed to do now was wait, and bide his time.
And then when the opportunity came…
He'd strike.
That night within the hospital, Ryouta laid within his bed as he looked out at the moon. The bright beautiful moon filled his eyes, while Satsuki silently slept next to him.
The door opened, Ryouta's eyes went to see it was Hiruzen walking in.
"Hokage-sama..."
"I have been speaking to the Uchiha you rescued, it seems that they owe their lives to you."
"I wish I could've saved more..."
"I understand your feelings, but you should be proud of what you've accomplished. Those that live is because of you, and your efforts."
Ryouta was glad at least that he was able to save some people.
Even if he couldn't save Satsuki's Dad, he wanted to be there for Satsuki now, and Mikoto also.
"Hokage-sama...are we alone? Can...anyone hear us?"
Hiruzen furrowed his brows, before waving his hand, dismissing those who he had watch over the two Uchiha children.
"We are now. Is there something you'd like to discuss?"
Ryouta nods, and begins.
"...Then Hokage-sama, Tobi was there...that night. I fought him again. This time...I used Mangekyou Sharingan powers."
Hiruzen's ears perked up.
"I see, so you indeed have it."
"Yes...I summoned...a skeleton hand...it was Susanoo's hand...and then I summoned...some kind of...thing in the air...like a doorway...and then some acid like stuff came out of it...it's weird, it didn't seem...like it was of this world...I can't explain it well. When I was...about to be grabbed by Tobi, I was scared...and kept thinking how can I get out of there...then the doorway thing...opened...and protected me...or I summoned it or something..."
Hiruzen placed a finger to his chin in deep thought.
"Acid...a doorway...not of this world...could it be a Space Time Jutsu?" Ryouta watched as Hiruzen gave a strong look. "I'm not an Uchiha, but I'll help you understand the nature of your power, in both your eyes. Now that you have been confirmed to have it, it has to remain a secret, use it only in very dire situations. Those eyes you have, are very rare, there will be many that will want the power of your Sharingan. Especially now you are one of five surviving Uchiha, six if Tobi is an Uchiha, that have the capability to fight. If word got out you have these eyes, then there could be many enemies coming towards you, so lets keep it a secret."
Ryouta understood, it was like with Shisui's eyes, his eyes could be used for devastating effects.
"...Yes Hokage-sama, and thank you. I also...want to say that..." Ryouta clutched his hands against the bed sheets, Hiruzen watched as Ryouta looked determined. "...I don't know why the Uchiha massacre happened...I don't believe Itachi did this for power...or anything like he said...I want to find out why that night happened...and I want to bring Izumi-chan back...so I'm going to train hard, master my eyes and any Jutsu I can..."
Hiruzen secretly smiled.
Though he couldn't explain the full details right now, he could see Ryouta wasn't stupid, he knew there was more to it than what had been said.
"I see, then I know you'll become very strong. Until you're ready, I'll make sure you're safe Ryouta-kun."
"Thank you, Hokage-sama."
Hiruzen bows his head, and walks out of the room.
He then stops outside the door, and offers a light hearted smile.
"That boy...he carries on your spirit Shisui...and he's quite smart like you, Yukine...and your resilience Kagami...things might look grim...but that boy will carry on all your wills. Because of his brave actions...some Uchiha survived."
With those thoughts in his mind, Hiruzen leaves to allow Ryouta to rest.
Ryouta himself, had a new mission.
To restore Uchiha, and to rescue Izumi, all the while tracking down Sugaru, and Tobi.
Many goals, and it might be a hard road, but Ryouta wouldn't give up until he saw his goals completed.

So, this is the end of the childhood arc! Now we're moving onto canon!
But before that, Ryouta lived out his life with Shisui within a dream world. Thanks to Itachi's Tsukuyomi, like he did with Izumi in a light novel (without the killing part), gave Ryouta a life where he was able to be on a squad with Shisui, grow and be strong beside him, marry Satsuki and have a child all his own while becoming the first Uchiha Hokage, and the others within his life also having the life Itachi thought would be best, the last gift he could give to Ryouta, giving him Shisui, even if only in illusion, something that Ryouta truly appreciated. Though it seemed an unexpected visitor, a woman with white hair was there...what she was doing, we'll find out in the future~
As that was going on, Izumi went to go and see her Mother, who Itachi took out in the most nonlethal way that he could, and as a result, Izumi awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan! What her powers will be, I have a few ideas, I'm also open to suggestions.
Satsuki arrived, and was confronted by her brother who played the villain, making it out that Itachi wants to kill Ryouta to awaken Satsuki's Mangekyou Sharingan, so that will give Satsuki the drive to become even stronger, holding onto the last thing she has.
Hiruzen arrived, and after seeing the events happen, detained and locked away Danzo for his crimes, stripping him of any power Hiruzen was aware of, though some Root are still loyal to him. Izumi and Itachi also threatened Danzo to not try anything or they'd come for him.
Itachi and Izumi arrived at the Akatsuki, and met a few of them, Orochimaru being one of them, and Konan who Izumi seems to have become friendly with.
Ryouta then had a moment with Satsuki, even sharing a small kiss between them, and briefly spoke to Hiruzen, now Ryouta's got a few driving missions, to discover what happened with Uchiha exactly, to rescue Izumi from her fate, stop Tobi, and as he promised Fugaku, protect Satsuki with his life.
We also found out Ryouta's parents name! The name Kagami should be familiar, since Shisui's ancestor was named as such, so I thought Ryouta's Dad having the same name would be rather appropriate.
Finally about Mikoto, she lived! Thanks to what Ryouta did, she survived long enough to receive help, and now will be someone that will support both Uchiha and the village as a personal Anbu of Hiruzen, a position I thought would fit Mikoto who has been said to have been a Jonin in the past.
For those wondering now if she's going to join the harem, I'm on the fence about it, I'm leaning more towards no right now, because I think the more Motherly role would fit with Ryouta, who hasn't experienced a Mother like figure in his life. Whatever happens with her, I've still got an important role for Mikoto to fill in the story, like she'll be a reason for Satsuki, along with Ryouta, to have a more positive influence and she wont be alone, among other things.
