(A/N: I realized no one ever realy wrote a story about Morph... If you have, I wanna read it! This was somethnig quick I jotted down, so read it and tell me if you like it. I felt sorry for Morph not having any stories, and I was bored... This is the resulting story... It's really short, but I've got some ideas for him. How about Morph's Whirlwind Adeventures? I think he'd love that...)
Disclaimer: I don't own Treasure Planet (sniff) but I DO own Morph... in my dreams. I love Morph!
Morph floated in from of the window in Jim's room, staring at his reflection. He wasn't like any other creature he'd ever seen; he was one of a kind. And that meant alone. He shifted to a version of Jim, his new owner/ best friend. He liked Jim's personality, and the solar-surfer was awesome. Next he shifted to Silver, his first friend. He really missed Silver and hoped he'd return to Montressor soon. They hadn't seen each other in two years.
Morph was all alone.
He shifted to another creature, the one he often mimicked. It was his own alien style; it was a human with a snout, ten limbs, and a big, crazy smile. Morph did his crazy laugh that he'd first done impersonating Scroop on the R.L.S. Legacy. That was when he'd first met Jim.
Back then, Morph was a bright, bubblegum pink color, but he was losing that brightness. Not many noticed, but Morph did. He was all alone even when he was surrounded by other life forms. All Morph wanted was someone to look like him. He wished he didn't have to shift to belong.
He quickly took another shape. This one was Captain Amelia and Doctor Doppler's loud children. He laughed and spun into another one of the little, mutant children.
Jim entered the room and saw Morph spinning around in front of the window.
"Hey Morph," Jim said. Morph made a surprised squeak and spun to float above Jim's shoulder. "I've got a surprise for you." Jim walked slowly out of the room. Morph wondered what the surprise would be. Maybe a whole crate of purps had been delivered to the Benbow Inn; that was his favorite food of all-time for sure and Morph would love to have a crate of them. He could eat them all day. Everyone thought it was very fun and entertaining to watch him eat the purple fruit because it made Morph even more bubblegum pink.
"Hey Morph!" a deep voice called from the doorway of the inn. Morph was so excited; he exploded into a million bubbles and reassembled himself at Silver's shoulder, giving him what was the best hug he could manage. "I missed you little guy!" Morph squeaked in agreement; he was so excited for Silver to be back.
That night, Morph was floating in front of his mirror and smiled happily to himself. He was happy. And he wasn't totally sure why. Was it Silver's staying here? Or was it the fact Silver bought him a new friend to play with? His new friend was a short little green fellow that was like Morph in the way he could shape-shift and was the only one left of his kind.
Morph quickly shifted into a sleeping hat and fell asleep, happy to have so many friends.
