Welcome to the next chapter.

danielsnow; They surely are yeah~ I'm sure Gaara would do yeah.

ShadowUzumaki55; They are yeah, it's going to go quite wild soon. Karin has done yeah so we'll see how that goes about. Gaara's going through quite a bit yeah, we'll see how that goes soon. Ameyuri, she's got a good role to play pretty soon.

Silver crow; Thanks. Karin did yeah. We'll see how their plan goes. Ameyuri's working for someone. We'll see how Hayate goes here. Glad you liked the spar between them. Yeah, seems Ryouta did guess correctly without even knowing. Jiraiya seems to be huh. Yeah, Gaara's been thinking about it hard. Kabuto tried, but it seems Pakura wont be intimidated by anyone. Kabuto can do that in canon with corpses, he can make them look like other people and control their movements, and while they can't really fight that well, they're good for decoys and can be quite convincing as shown in the series. Karin did yeah. Yeah, seems Gaara remembered that. Ryouta was yeah, he was able to stand up to Gaara's fierce killing intent, and learned what he suspected to be true. We'll see how Ameyuri goes yeah. Thanks for the votes. AFO's son would be a good person to contrast his evil Father, and would have a unique dynamic, if he wanted to be a Hero right away or something that would build, we'd see. If I was to do a villain oc for My Hero, I know who his family connection would be and what power/powers he'd have. AFO could have a memory of his son trying to do that. He'd have something's in common with him, something's he'd be completely different about. He could still meet those people. They'd be cool Quirks to have. Lady Nagant could do. Izumi and fem Tomura could be yeah. For Fairy Tail, he'd be quite strong, S Class yeah. He could help Lisanna there. He might have Virgo. For the Phenex, he'd have incredible flames yeah. Riser and he would have a fun dynamic, not where they'd hate each other or anything. If he got a Longinus, they'd be cool. Akira would still have Canis yeah. Yeah, he kept it for a connection with his Father, it wasn't like he was so devote blindly follow anything, he wished to have something of his Father's life, and that's all he had. Phenex oc could yeah. Akira could do. I couldn't say about the Pain stuff with Ryouta yet. I couldn't spoil Ameyuri's fate yet. Yeah, they could take Ryouta on one. Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe they could do yeah. Itachi could be yeah. Ryouta could do yeah.

Skull Flame; Yeah, seems they are. Kabuto was yeah. Ameyuri's got a role to play coming up~

TheGreatGodzilla; Yeah, guess it is like that. Ameyuri's role will become clear pretty soon. I remember. Yeah, he is something like that between the two Jinchuriki's. He had them before Ameyuri. I can't reveal about Ameyuri just yet.

Hinata fan; Thanks. He will do yeah. Yeah, Naruko wont be taken by surprise now. She's been hired by someone is all I can say. Thanks for the votes.

Guest 1; Only a few chapters until the fights at the Chunin Exams. Some movies, not all of them.

Goku Black SSJR; Yeah, he could do~

one pie1234; Thanks for the votes.

Andrew123456; Thanks for the votes.

Any of one; Thank you for voting.

The5Reds; Thanks.

Valtazar; Thanks for the votes.

Guest 2; Thank you very much.

Guest 3; Yeah, seems that Kabuto got a little bit full of himself there with Pakura. What happens to Hayate, we'll see in this chapter~ But yeah, Ryouta might have some feelings regarding him. Karin definitely is, she caught onto Kabuto despite the help Orochimaru offered, and now he's been outed. Gaara's sand shall receive some explanations on why it didn't attack Ryouta. He will meet Konan sooner than you'd expect, is all I can say. Izumi could have done yeah. Thanks very much! Thanks for the suggestions!

Valtryek sama; Thanks for the votes. Yeah, he'd have a name beginning with R. Dimension Lost would be cool. He'd be strong yeah. They'd be good inspirations for techniques. That sounds awesome for Akira. Yeah, he'd still have Canis if his story won. Those forms look cool. Nice nicknames. Yeah, that would be their ages. Those sound good for his relationships. Yeah, depending which Slayer wins for Fairy Tail, they'd have some different backstories. Lisanna and Natsu make sense. That's a cool Devil Slayer Magic. Thanks for the suggestions.

War Sage; Thanks. He does yeah, he's had and will have a few good teachers. Satsuki and Mikoto are yeah. Glad you liked the spar, and yeah, it seems that Kakashi understood that he'd need the Sharingan. Kabuto seemed to try his hand, but Pakura wasn't having any of it. Hayate is yeah, lets see if he does or not. Hiruzen, I can't spoil right now. Glad you liked the Naruko and Ryouta parts. Karin did yeah. Dosu and his teammates, we'll see what happens to them here. Tsunade and Shizune, we'll see. Ryouta has seen the tablet under Naka Shrine yeah. Only one more chapter before the final rounds. Yeah, it is like that. Thanks for the suggestions.

KarmaChaos5; Thanks for the vote.

Infinite Love 14; Thanks for the vote.

Chiaki Forever; Thanks for the vote.

AlphaOmega; Glad you liked the fight between them. Satsuki and Mikoto are yeah. Gaara's going through a good few things right now. Ameyuri, we'll be seeing what she's doing soon. Thanks for the votes. If Izuku was, I wouldn't know what he'd do or his Quirk, suggestions always welcome.

Guest 4; Thanks for the votes.

Markus Keller; Thanks for the vote, glad you like the work.

Guest 5; Thanks for the votes.

With those reviews out of the way, it's time to start the chapter.

The Sound Strikes!

Only a week left until the Chunin Exams finals, and Ryouta was training harder than ever to get the desired results. Thanks to his increased training together with Kakashi and Satsuki, Ryouta believed that his move was going to become certain, and that it would be a move he'd be able to use against dangerous opponents, that wouldn't cost him the sight of his eyes.

Hayate had also been following him, and so far…

Nothing.

No one had appeared.

He wasn't attacked.

He was still safe and sound.

The same for Satsuki.

Ryouta knew that Karin also had been working hard, but even she hadn't found them.

Though they had tracked down some potential people, it seemed that the person that it was, was able to stay hidden and hadn't been found.

Ryouta also was told about who it was, Kabuto.

Ryouta, who was curled up with Satsuki in their shared bed, gazed at one another.

"Can't believe it was that slimy Kabuto. I always felt something off about him, but to think that he was with Orochimaru...well, he did have all of that information, I did find that odd at the time, now I guess it would make sense for his infiltration mission."

Ryouta began, thinking about what Kabuto was going to do. He didn't know the extent of Kabuto's skills, only enough to show that he could fight against Lee for a brief time and while Lee wasn't going his best in the fight, Kabuto still was doing pretty well, and it made him wonder what else his abilities could entail.

Satsuki on the other hand huffed.

"I know how you feel, little weasel doing it right in front of us. Working for that Orochimaru, and trying to be nice with us. Most likely he was trying to work us out for Orochimaru or something like that."

Ryouta also believed it was something like that.

"Well, with people knowing about him now, he wont be able to make it very far if he hasn't run away already."

Ryouta's words made sense to Satsuki.

"Little bastard..." Satsuki yawned, and leaned her head on his shoulder. "Ryou, the exams very soon."

"I know, I can't wait for it."

"Yeah...though lets relax before then Ryou."

Ryouta tilted his head.

"Relax? How?"

Satsuki pulled closer and laid her lips lightly on his cheek.

"I can think of a few relaxing things. Perhaps we can go around the village together. Kakashi said it would be better if we relax a little before the exams. So we don't run out of fuel before the events of the day."

Ryouta gave an intrigued stare.

Her words and what she was doing all drew Ryouta to a conclusion.

"Satsuki-chan, do you want to go on a date?"

Satsuki's eyes and face didn't change.

But Ryouta saw that a small amount of redness filled her cheeks.

Barely noticeable, but it was there.

"...Well, I guess that it would be fine if we do. Whatever."

Ryouta thought that she was rather cute when she denied what she truly wished.

"It would be fun if we went out together, wouldn't it Satsuki-chan?"

Satsuki didn't confirm or deny anything.

Instead, her eyes shifted towards Ryouta, and simply stared at him.

Seeing what she desired, he moved closer, and brushed his lips with her own briefly, something Satsuki smiled at, something she only did when she was with Ryouta, or her Mother, though it seemed that as time went on they were able to do it even more.

"We should get up soon Satsuki-chan."

"We will do soon. First, lets spend a little time, just the two of us."

Ryouta smiled as he leaned close, and brought her lips onto Satsuki's own, and enjoyed a small time together before they had to get up that morning.

As that was going on, Pakura and Haku met up early in the morning to have something to eat together. Over the course of training her, Pakura had become more and more close to Haku, it was never the plan to do this.

She didn't want to become close.

She thought that if she did this, then she'd learn more of what she needed to know.

But she was growing to care for Haku and seeing her each morning was something that Pakura was excited to do, yet it also caused her some heart ache at the same time.

Haku, noticing that Pakura's face seemed to be in a serious state, spoke up.

"Pakura-san, is everything okay?"

Pakura almost jumped at the voice.

But then she nodded.

"Yes, I'm fine. I'm just thinking about something, that's all."

"Something?"

Haku echoed, Pakura adopted a slight smile.

"May I ask you something Haku-san?"

"Of course Pakura-san."

"Then, Ryouta-san...he means the world to you, right?"

"Yes, he does."

Haku answered without hesitation.

"And you'd do anything to ensure his safety?"

"Yes, I would do what it takes to make sure that he lived."

Haku didn't even have to think about that.

She'd make sure Ryouta was safe, after everything that he had done her for, and Zabuza as well.

"What if it wasn't for what you wanted to do? Say you had to do something that goes against your nature."

Pakura's question caused Haku to have slight hesitation.

But she then nodded, and continued on.

"I...It's difficult, I'm not sure how to answer. I'm sure that if I did, Ryou-kun wouldn't want me to lose who I am. And neither would I. I'd want to remain who I was, and if at all possible, I'd help him out of this scenario whatever it took."

Pakura quite liked that about Haku.

She truly was kind.

"You remind me of another student that I had."

"Oh? Who's that?"

Haku was quite interested to see who it was that Pakura had taught before.

If they were famous like she was.

If they were relatively unknown for the moment.

Pakura gave a soft smile as she spoke with a tone that Pakura didn't usually have.

A truly joyful one.

"A girl named Maki, she...she's quite like that with her thoughts. Though she's usually a little more hyperactive. Such a wild girl sometimes. But she had talent, and she's a really good person."

"I'd love to meet her sometime."

"I'm sure you'd get on together pretty easily. She's able to make friends with pretty much anyone, unlike me haha..."

Pakura laughed hollowly, drawing the young girls attention to her.

"I think we're friends, aren't we Pakura-san?"

Pakura paused.

Friends…

They were friends.

It seemed odd, considering the whole village destroying plan that the Suna and Oto Ninja had together.

But she could easily see circumstances being different, that they truly could be friends.

"Yes, you're right. We are."

"Perhaps Maki-san and I could even become friends."

Pakura's smile didn't fade from her face.

"Perhaps you will have the chance."

Though Pakura was smiling, Haku felt like there was something else going on.

She wasn't entirely sure on what it was, but she knew it was something serious.

Later on that day, Ryouta was sat on the ground where Naruko was resting on his lap. Her head laid there, while her body curled against his own in a cutely fox like manner.

Jiraiya was sat beside the pair, and was explaining what happened.

"...So that's why Mikoto-san sent me here?"

Jiraiya's face turned dark.

"I didn't mean to push her down that hole..."

"I heard that it was a large opening in the earth, very deep, right?"

Ryouta asked incredulously.

Jiraiya shuddered.

"Well, you know how it is...adrenaline and all, she had to use the power of the...eeeh, ahem...hahaha, she didn't have to use any power-"

"The Nine Tails." Jiraiya wore surprise on his face. "Yes, I'm aware, and I know you are also, since Mikoto-san told me about you knowing. Still, to go that far to summon the Nine Tails power, what if it didn't work? She could have fallen to her death."

Jiraiya couldn't take it.

Mikoto had sent Ryouta there…

He knew why that was.

As the boy cared for Naruko immensely, and wouldn't allow anything bad to happen to her.

"Please don't Genjutsu me! Not old man Hokage naked! I can't handle it!"

Jiraiya shed some faux tears, while Ryouta exhaled slowly.

"Well, it seems Naruko-chan is fine. Just passed out."

Jiraiya nodded with a sad look on his face.

"Are you going to Genjutsu me?"

"Are you sorry?"

Ryouta replied with a question which was met with Jiraiya's hand going over his mouth for a brief moment.

But then he took it away and nodded.

"Yes! A thousand times yes! Just don't do it!"

Ryouta exhaled.

"Then I guess I wont do anything." He looked down at Naruko, and lightly stroked the blondes face, causing her to purr in her sleep. "Still, did she manage to summon a toad?"

"She did yeah, she summoned a great big toad! Haha, she seems to be like Mikoto-san said, a late bloomer!"

"Naruko-chan is talented, she just needs it brought out of her."

"Yeah, you're right...so no Genjutsu?"

Ryouta gave him a curious stare.

"You seem fixated on the Genjutsu."

"Because you're an Uchiha with those magic eyeballs that I cannot dispel!"

"Okay..."

Ryouta murmured.

He was rather perplexed by Jiraiya and what he was like.

If anything, Jiraiya kind of reminded him of Naruko.

Though without the perverted tendencies.

He then looked down at Naruko, and gently petted her face.

"Naruko-chan...well done..."

As if she had heard him, her eyes lazily went open.

Still looking tired, Naruko looked up at Ryouta's face, seeing the bright light of the sun beaming down, and she felt in a daze, like a dream, so she whispered "Ryou's here..." which he smiled at and went to speak, when she leaned up and kissed him on the lips, catching him off guard.

Jiraiya was shocked by her doing that, and laughed awkwardly as he turned away.

Ryouta stayed in a kissing position for a few moments, before Naruko pulled away.

"Eh...wait, this isn't a dream?!"

"You thought you were dreaming?"

Ryouta asked, Naruko shook her head.

"I thought it was a dream yeah! But this is real huh?"

"So you dream of kissing me?"

He lightly teased in a sweet way.

Naruko's face drained of colour, shaking her head back and forth, but then side to side in denial.

"No! Not at all! I don't do that! I wouldn't do that! You're my friend! And, and it doesn't mean that I do Ryou! B-But, why are you here?!"

As she was saying it, she became flustered, her whisker marks turning redder as was her entire face.

She felt embarrassed now.

Though Ryouta thought that it was rather cute to see Naruko act in such a manner.

"Mikoto-san said something happened to you, so I came right away. To see if you're okay."

Naruko's lips curled upwards.

"You did? For me?"

"Of course, who else for?"

Naruko fiddled with her fingers.

Whenever she did that, Ryouta thought that it was rather cute for her to do such things.

"I-I did it Ryou! I summoned a huge toad! Chief Toad at that! And he was rather scary, but cool at the same time! I worked really hard, and then Pervy Sage also taught me some hand to hand as well! So when I fight Haku, I'll be able to fight even more than ever before!"

Ryouta was glad for her.

It seemed that Jiraiya was teaching Naruko a good number of important things.

"Even now calling me Pervy Sage? Heh, I'm no ordinary pervert, for I am a super pervert!"

Ryouta and Naruko blinked.

Naruko pulled a face while Ryouta twitched his eyebrow.

"You shouldn't casually admit to being something like that."

Jiraiya face faulted while Naruko snickered.

"It's true!" Ryouta gave a dead pan look, Jiraiya huffed. "Well, it doesn't matter! It seems you're up girl! Hahaha! I told you that I'd teach you how to use a summon!"

"By nearly killing me!"

Naruko snapped at him, something Ryouta could totally understand.

Jiraiya winced at that.

"Well, take it as you will, but that's how it went down."

Jiraiya said it in a casual way, while Ryouta gave the elder man a curious stare.

Though he was happy for Naruko, and what she was dealing with.

Though he knew using the Nine Tails could be dangerous, he knew from Mikoto that Jiraiya wasn't a fool, and if he did this to bring out the Nine Tails power for whatever reason, then he was making decisions that were best for him.

In the meantime, he'd do his best to support Naruko and what she was going to be doing.

Later on during the day, Ryouta continued his training, and while he was doing so, he was surprised to see that Sakura was coming up.

Since Kakashi had a few last minute things to do, and Satsuki was with her Mother practising the Chidori, he was currently on his own, besides that of Hayate of course who was ever watchful over him.

"Sakura-chan, what a surprise. What's going on?"

Sakura shook her head, as she moved closer.

"Oh, it's nothing. But I heard you were training out here, so I thought that I'd bring some food for you. You know...in case you had time to eat..."

Sakura began having confidence, but ended up being almost as shy as Hinata usually was, which Ryouta thought was quite cute.

"I've got sometime now, we could have a break together."

"Y-Yeah!"

Sakura laid out the food that she brought, while Ryouta twitched his body side to side.

Sitting down together, Ryouta took a bite of the food that Sakura brought with her, and with a single taste of it, it filled his mouth with wonderful flavours.

"Wow, this is really amazing Sakura-chan."

"I'm glad you like it...is it really good? I've been learning how to make some fun stuff lately."

Ryouta grinned in her direction, which also caused Sakura to smile.

"It shows, it's really great Sakura-chan!" Sakura smiled lightly. "So, I heard that Kakashi-sensei gave you some training to do. How's it been going?"

"Well, so so I'd say. I'm learning more about evasion and being able to time my strikes perfectly. I think that it helps that I've got good chakra control, Kakashi-sensei's lessons are focusing in on that and it makes sense for me."

Ryouta could understand that.

He knew Sakura had amazing chakra control and her being able to use it so well was only a bonus.

"Yeah, it really does. I'm glad that you're getting stronger Sakura-chan."

"T-Thanks. So, what are you doing?"

"Just training my body. I've learned a new Jutsu that I hope to be able to use during the Chunin Exams."

"R-Really? That's great Ryou-kun!" Sakura happily said, as she recalled something. "Ooh yes...Hinata and I talked recently, and she said that her Father is trying to keep you apart. How are you feeling about that? I mean...it seems rather cruel, especially since you always try and help Hinata."

Ryouta scratched his cheek.

"Yeah, it's something that I just have to deal with. I get what he's thinking and how he's feeling, but I also want to keep seeing Hinata-san and I also have something's that I want to do with Neji-san as well. Aah, it's going to be quite the time with the Hyuga's."

Sakura stifled a laugh.

"Ryou-kun, I don't know how you remain so calm."

"If I wasn't calm, then I'd be panicking. And right now isn't the time to panic. I don't know the outcome, I know the Byakugan is a strong power, and Neji-san is considered one of the most talented youths. But, it doesn't mean that there aren't ways around the Byakugan, say if he can even see my movements with his eyes, if he can't react fast enough then being able to comprehend my movements doesn't mean anything."

Sakura crushed her right fist into her left palm.

"I get it, even if he's able to see your attacks...yeah, that makes sense Ryou-kun. And you're so fast so he wouldn't be able to react to you right?"

Ryouta nodded.

"That's one strategy I think would be good against a Byakugan user. And I know that there is some other ways to get around him. He's a very close range fighter, he hasn't shown to my knowledge long range abilities, so even just launching far away attacks against him could also stop him."

Sakura was amazed.

It was clear that Ryouta had thought about it from many angles, and that he had the ability to adapt as well.

"It seems you've got most if not all of it figured out Ryou-kun."

"I've got plans anyway. If he comes up with ones to hinder me, I have to learn to adapt quickly. The enemy could do anything and I'd have to move quickly. It isn't good to always stick to one way of thinking in a fight, you have to be ready to adapt at any given moment."

Sakura smiled.

She thought he'd say something like that.

More than that, she pushed forward and showed a soft smile on her lips.

"Ryou-kun, I know that you can do this. And like the others I'm sure, I'll also cheer for you. But, I also have to say, that I wont fall behind either. I'm going to become as strong as I can. During my fight with Dosu, I also had to learn to adapt, and I know that I have to become even stronger."

Ryouta smiled at her words.

Hearing her want to improve, and grow stronger was something he definitely could get behind.

"I'm sure you will Sakura-chan. Definitely."

Sakura's face turned a cute pink colour as she poked her fingers together in a slightly shy manner while they spent a good deal of time together, enjoying one another's company.

On the way back home that evening, Ryouta walked through the village. With Hayate trailing him, Ryouta felt a little more at ease.

But at the same time, Ryouta also felt like something was amiss, and he didn't like it.

When he looked around, he didn't see anything that was totally out of the ordinary.

However, Ryouta knew that wasn't the case at all.

He had felt it for a little while now, so he moved towards the right hand side, where Hayate landed on a rooftop, but stayed out of sight.

"Hayate-san, I feel like I'm being followed. Corner to the right, three targets. I believe it might be those from the Oto based on their chakra colours."

Hayate nodded, and whispered "Draw them to a secluded area so no innocent gets hurt, and we'll disable them." so Ryouta did just that and continued walking through the streets.

Hayate in the meantime secretly contacted a passing Ninja to go and get some back up in case something was going to happen next, but remained unaware that someone was going to hamper the help coming, and made a move of their own against the Ninja Hayate sent for assistance.

When Ryouta got to a certain place, a large building that was called Kikyo Castle, with several floors to it. Ryouta saw no one was around, so he quickly scaled the building and landed on the flat roof. His eyes scanned left and right, waiting for them to appear.

When they didn't for a few moments, Ryouta exhaled slowly.

"You might as well come out." As he said it, he tossed a shuriken behind him, which moved rapidly through the air, and cut across Zaku's arm as he was trying to silently attack with his sound Jutsu. "Because I know where you are."

"So you noticed us."

Dosu began as he appeared before him.

"Heh, he isn't as bad as we thought."

Zaku added as he appeared next to Dosu.

Then Kin appeared, giggling away.

"That's really cute, thinking that you can take us three to one."

Ryouta glanced between all of them, as his eyes glanced towards Hayate.

Using Genjutsu, he paused Hayate and told him through eye contact and via Genjutsu "Please stay back, in case they have someone else ambush us. Do not worry, I can take these three." which Hayate agreed, and stayed back, watching out for any kind of enemy that could give them hassle.

"So, servants of Orochimaru I presume. Working with Kabuto are you?"

Ryouta's words caused all three of them to be stunned.

"How do you know that?"

Zaku snapped, Ryouta however continued with a calm expression on his face.

"That's not your concern. What is, is that you're going to be stopped."

Zaku laughed.

"You're going to stop us? Yeah right, you can't fight all three of us! And I'll show you why!"

Zaku aimed his palms out, and fired off a strong burst of sound for Ryouta.

However, the moment that it would have touched him, Ryouta sped out of the way, and shot for Zaku. Moving faster than the Ninja could see, he couldn't pick up Ryouta's movements at all, so he opened his hands and shot off multiple sound waves before his body.

But nothing came of it.

Dosu looked left and right, wondering what was going to happen.

When he felt the air change beside him, he couldn't even look in time as he received a sharp kick to the face, blood erupting out of his mouth, and sent him flying down into the roof of the building they were currently on.

Cracking the tiles that laid on said roof, Dosu coughed up some blood from that impact.

Zaku and Kin's eyes both went towards Ryouta, who held out his sword.

"We can do this the easy way, or the hard way. Which way is it going to be?"

Ryouta gave them the ultimatum.

Knowing that they were associated with Orochimaru, Ryouta knew that they couldn't get away. If they had any information at all, even if it was just about Kabuto, then he thought that would be a good thing for them to receive.

Dosu pulled up his body and let out a small pained sound.

As Ryouta went to move his blade, he noticed something out of the corner of his eye.

Something that Hayate also noticed.

A man wielding a sword that was coming down fast and hard.

Hayate took out his blade, and clashed against it, sparks going between their blades. Hayate pushed the man back, and jumped onto another roof nearby, where he waved his sword to the right, slashing at the man's upper body.

But the man dodged out of the way and avoided it completely.

"Ryouta-san! You deal with them, I've got this one!"

"Right!"

Ryouta watched as Hayate, and the mysterious man took off together towards a different roof.

Meanwhile, Karin was doing her best to sense for any unusual activity while stationed in the sensory department. Ino's Father Inoichi was stationed with her, to help her and also do his own sensing when he could.

"Anything?"

Inoichi asked.

But Karin shook her head.

"I can't sense Kabuto anywhere. If he's still in the village, I can't find him."

"I'm having little luck as well."

Inoichi admitted, Karin let out a sigh.

"But, it feels like I get a good read on him, only to vanish a little time later. I think though whatever it is he's doing to throw off my senses, he's going to be running on short supply. It has to be like that, don't you think?"

Inoichi inclined his neck.

"Most likely yes. Well, it wasn't going to be an easy task. Still, it is best that we do this..."

As he spoke, Karin sensed something.

It was faint at first.

But now that she focused on it, she could feel something that she didn't like.

"Ryou-kun..."

"What? Did you sense something?"

Karin stayed silent for a few moments as she read through what she could sense within her.

Sensing the chakra of Ryouta, and who it was that he was fighting.

"It isn't Kabuto...but, he's fighting someone...no, he's fighting...geez, it's the Oto Genin again."

She was kind of relieved that it was just the Oto Genin that he was fighting.

She knew that they had some tricky powers, Ryouta was strong and with Hayate, they wouldn't be a problem...no, she thought that even alone, Ryouta would be able to take them based on the combat skills that she had seen already from them.

"The Oto Genin?"

"We fought them back in the forest. Rather, Sakura-san did and some of the others. They aren't a problem for Ryou-kun from what I can sense. But if they've attacked..."

"Then Kabuto could be close by to ambush. I'm going to go and alert the Hokage, Karin-san come with me and keep your senses on the fight. While I know Hayate-san is with him, we can't rule out that Kabuto might have some reinforcements or has a trick or two up his sleeve."

"Yes! Leave it to me!"

Karin nodded, and together took off to alert Hiruzen to what was going on.

Back with Ryouta, Ryouta's eyes fell onto the three Oto Genin, his sword readying itself. Ryouta wondered who it was that had attacked Hayate, he didn't think it was Kabuto either based on what little he saw with his Sharingan either.

Shaking his head, he turned to the three Oto Genin.

"This is going to end now."

Ryouta went to move, when Kin took her senbons, and threw them. With her bells attached, she tried to use her Genjutsu on Ryouta, by affecting him via sound waves.

However, the moment that she tried, Ryouta's eyes locked with Kin's.

"Genjutsu doesn't work with an Uchiha, at least not one of this level."

As he said it, the sound reverberated again and again in her ears.

Ryouta's form split into several ones, she couldn't tell which one was the real one at all.

"W-What the hell?! My Genjutsu's-"

"-Been reversed."

Ryouta replied, and from Kin's perspective, it looked like and sounded like all of them had said it. Ryouta's eyes continued to shine with his Sharingan, and his Genjutsu swept through her mind.

Kin's body slumped to the ground, unconscious.

Zaku panicked, as Dosu yelled "Don't look at his eyes!" so Zaku yelled as well.

"Don't mess with me Uchiha brat! I wont die to you!"

Ryouta watched as Zaku placed his hands forward, and released intense waves of sound. Stronger than anything that he had released before, they all came shooting towards Ryouta's location, smashing through the roof at high speed.

But before they could reach him, Ryouta took off into the air, speeding like a bullet and volleyed over the intense sound waves.

Zaku's chest heaved, as Ryouta shot off from the air using his Body Flicker.

Moving so fast that Zaku couldn't even see him, he felt the air pass by him, as blood came from his arms.

His eyes looked, as the pain suddenly came to him, seeing his arms having been sliced down so they were disabled, falling to both sides of his body. Dripping down to the ground, his blood ran cold across his fingertips, while Zaku let out a howl of pain.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

Ryouta flashed above Zaku, and delivered a swift kick to his head, the strength and force of the impact was more than enough to send him flying down into the ground, cracking and breaking some tiles below his body as he hit it so hard.

Falling unconscious, Zaku was the last teammate that Dosu had.

Dosu looked towards Ryouta, who showed his blade towards Dosu.

"Stay away from me!"

Dosu panicked.

He knew Ryouta was good, he wasn't a fool.

He didn't know the true extent of the Sharingan though and now he was experiencing it for the first time.

He thought that by using Kin first, trapping Ryouta in Genjutsu, he would be able to speed in close, and use his sound device to affect Ryouta's body, and then Zaku would be able to pierce through him with his sound waves and finish him off.

But nothing was going to plan.

Now, he could understand why Orochimaru would want the Sharingan for himself.

The power that it held…

Dosu shook his head, and pulled forward.

"I wont be going down so easily. Unlike my comrades, I have the power to take you down."

"Being confident is a good thing, but being over confident can lead to your demise."

Dosu scowled at Ryouta.

He wouldn't go down so easily like this.

"You might be fast, but sound is faster than you are. One touch of my device, and you're going to be finished!"

When he said that, he tried to flick his device on his arm with his hand.

But Ryouta swiftly moved and tossed shurikens forward, slicing so finely across his fingers, which then embedded into his arm, Dosu let out a small cry at the feeling, and then allowed his body to pull back ever so slightly.

He knew now that he couldn't win the fight as easily as he thought he could, and was becoming more angry as a result.

"I will kill you Uchiha!"

Dosu pulled back, and went to tap his sound amplification device to try and affect Ryouta's inner ear, and knock him out, when Ryouta rushed closer.

Dosu, stronger than his teammates could somewhat see Ryouta, so he swung out his arm when he thought Ryouta was going to be there.

But his arm simply swiped the air, as if Ryouta wasn't there in the first place.

"He's so fast, and agile. I can't keep up in terms of speed. But if he didn't have anywhere to run, then maybe I could..."

Deciding what would be the best thing to do, Dosu went to punch the ground to generate a wave of sound which would stop Ryouta in his tracks with the intensity of it, the speed of the sound and how loud it was.

But before it could reach the ground, Ryouta appeared before him, and stopped him from hitting the ground.

Stabbing the sword he had between the holes in the sound amplification device, Dosu's eyes looked up to see Ryouta staring back at him.

He didn't look at him in the eyes, but the way his face was positioned, it was clear that was the case.

"Fire Release, Dragon Fire Jutsu."

Using his sword as a guide, Ryouta breathed out a thin stream of flames. Moving quickly and precisely, the flames went through into the speaker, the heat coming from the fire, along with how it worked its way through the metal, Dosu's arm device began to melt.

Dosu tried to retreat, but Ryouta stopped him by grabbing his other arm, and suspending it up into the air.

Dosu watched as his device broke down and some of the metal melted away, before Ryouta swung his sword up. Still within the broken down speaker, he ripped it off of Dosu's arm, and slammed it down into the ground, causing it to shatter into many tiny pieces.

Like that, Dosu's hopes had come crashing down.

His eyes went towards Ryouta's own, and he looked angry.

"Why did we have to give ourselves up, just to test you?"

"What do you mean?"

Dosu with clutching hands, glared with hatred.

"We were expendable to him. We devoted our lives to him, we did everything that we were told to do...but, nothing ever came of it. He saw us as nothing. We were sent to get you, and to make sure that you come with us back in the forest. But the truth was that we were sent there to die. By some fluke, we managed to live. And now we're going to die here."

Listening quietly, Ryouta could hear the hurt, and rejected tone that he was using.

Ryouta exhaled slowly after Dosu had finished.

"Orochimaru is someone that will use anyone to achieve his goals. He is self centred, and only cares for himself. I don't know your life, so I can't comment on it. But trying to kill me, what do you think you're going to achieve? To get back at Orochimaru? It wouldn't make a difference, even if you did manage to kill me."

"W-What do you mean?"

"He has more options for the Sharingan, it doesn't end with me. And killing me, he'd probably only end your life for getting in his way of his plans. Did you think about just leaving while you could? Making a new life for yourself somewhere away from Orochimaru? I understand that you can't fight him, but you had the chance to leave while you could, even if Orochimaru came for you, it would be better than being used as a servant to some mad man, wouldn't it?"

Dosu listened to his words….

And believed Ryouta was probably right.

Doing this now, in hindsight, was something that he probably shouldn't have done.

Even if they succeeded killing Ryouta, it was something that wouldn't have sustained them for long, as Orochimaru, or those that cared for Ryouta would have come after them.

Dosu's eyes fell to the floor, and genuine pain erupted across his face.

Ryouta placed his sword underneath Dosu's chin, lifting his face so his gaze met with Ryouta's own.

"For what its worth, it sounds like you got dealt a bad hand, and I'm sorry. But, I also can't allow you to keep going with the intentions that you have."

Ryouta's Sharingan activated for Dosu and trapped him in a Genjutsu.

He soon fell unconscious, Ryouta exhaled slowly.

But then Ryouta widened his eyes as he noticed that two chakra signatures that gone for Hayate.

"Hayate-san..."

Ryouta quickly tied wire around the three Oto Genin to stop them in their tracks in case they could get any information from them at all, before going to go and help Hayate.

As that went on, Gaara was far off away from all of the others in the area. When she found that Ryouta wasn't at his home like he usually was, she began looking around the village. Needing almost to the point that it was desperately so, she had to confirm the thing inside of her.

What it was that she felt, and what it was that she needed to know.

Kankuro was asked to follow Gaara this time, as Pakura and Temari were both busy. The same for Baki. Though he didn't know what was fully going on at that moment in time, so he decided to keep a good distance away from Gaara.

However, Gaara seemed to be going a good way out of the village.

Like she was following something.

Kankuro was almost afraid to ask what was going on.

But he decided to do it anyway.

"Gaara...where are you going?"

"There's blood in the air...and he's here...somewhere."

Kankuro became freaked out.

He didn't know what was going on with that.

"Blood...there's a fight going on?"

Asking that outright, Kankuro didn't receive an answer.

Gaara felt like she was being drawn somewhere.

She didn't get it, even when she thought about it.

But something compelled her to come this way, maybe even the One Tail itself.

Gaara walked out towards what seemed to be a large building.

Her eyes went towards it, when she snarled.

"Mine...I wont let anyone...but me have him..."

Kankuro blinked.

"W-What?"

Kankuro saw that Gaara's blood lust was growing.

He tried to move, when sand erupted around his form.

"Gaara! What are you doing!?"

With a cold look to her eyes, Gaara stared at Kankuro with something that he hadn't really seen from her before.

Desire.

Not just for a fight…

But something else.

"I can't have you interrupting my fight."

Gaara flung her hand right, which sent Kankuro away and pinned him to a wall.

Kankuro couldn't move.

He was stuck.

And all he could do was watch Gaara move away from him and towards a certain area...

Hayate meanwhile was dueling against the mysterious intruder. Using his swift movements with his sword, he cut across the man several times, or he tried to do that, but the man who's face was covered managed to block the strikes with his own blade, parrying him several times.

"So you've come for the Uchiha boy, is that it?"

Hayate said between coughs.

But he didn't get a reply, as the enemy jumped back, and then took out a kunai, with an explosive tag attached to it, launching it for Hayate who moved his blade, and slashed it forward, sending the kunai right back, showcasing Hayate's skills with a blade.

As the explosion suddenly happened, Hayate saw the intense power of it being fired back at him. Hayate didn't know how that happened, so he retreated, jumping back a good distance, landing on a wooden roof, where the man suddenly jumped from up above, and cupped his hands to his mostly unseen mouth.

From that, a gust of strong air shot forward like a bullet.

"So he's a Wind Release user..."

Hayate tried to retreat when some of the air bullets smashed through the wood, dropping the man down towards the ground.

Before reaching said ground, the enemy threw a bunch of kunai into the ground, but they were sticking up, ready to pierce through his body.

Stabbing his sword into the side of a building, Hayate got his footing on the wall via his chakra, only to see the man running down it with his sword in hand, swinging it for Hayate's form in a single but strong burst of speed.

"No!"

Hayate blocked the sword strike, with sparks going off between their clashing blades once more.

With them in a stalemate on the side of a building, neither budged at all.

"You're good, but I wont let you have that Uchiha boy."

"You wont have a choice."

Said a creepy sounding voice.

Hayate couldn't place it, but he knew it felt sinister.

The man's hand then went out, his free hand that held itself up into a hand sign.

Suddenly winds erupted around the man's body, and he thrusted his hand out.

Doing that, Hayate retreated, flipping back several times, and jumped to a new roof.

"Hah! Hah! Hah!"

As he did, Hayate saw that the roof was being sliced apart, and then the man moved towards them, and flicked his foot at the pieces of broken debris, launching them all at Hayate.

Hayate was going to retreat, when the intruder flung his hand down, sending out his cutting winds, which sliced through the part of the building that Hayate stood on.

Dropping the man down a little bit, Hayate jumped up but the pieces of debris kept coming for him, so Hayate used his expert swordsman skills, and sliced right through the attacks one after the other, protecting his body.

But doing that, allowed his enemy to leap up above him, and then swing his hand down, releasing the blade of wind type of attack.

"Aah!"

Hayate tried to dodge it within the air, but his right arm got sliced across.

Dropping his blood onto the roof he was stood on, the intruder landed on a roof nearby.

Panting at the slice across his arm, Hayate took his blade, and created two shadow clones.

The enemy looked on for a few moments, before giving off a laugh.

"Shadow Clones. That's such a nice trick that you've got there."

Hayate scowled at the voice that he could hear.

"You're like a shadow yourself, hiding your identity."

"Hiding it for my own personal reason. That's all."

The man flung his hands out, releasing several blades of winds that looked similar to shurikens.

Hayate, along with his Shadow Clones, jumped forward, leaping over the blades of wind, and got before the man. One clone came from the right, so the man ducked, and then upper cutted the clone of Hayate, dispelling it.

The second one slashed from the right, so the man jumped back, allowing Hayate, the real one, got behind the man, causing his eyes to widen as he moved with swiftness, swinging his blade forward, the man retreated.

But as he did, the cloth covering the enemies face got caught up, as a large gash appeared across his cheek.

The cloth was ripped apart, as the man slicked across the last Hayate clones chest, killing it out of existence.

Hayate's eyes went towards the man's face, seeing that it was Baki from Suna.

"Suna...but it was Oto that attacked...Suna is working with Oto? But why? Are you both after the Uchiha?"

"I don't care about the Uchiha, all I care about is my village. And you're in the way of my village gaining greatness, so I'm going to have to make sure that you're taken out of this fight once and for all."

"It wont last, I've got back up coming already."

Hayate warned, hoping it might throw Baki off his game a little.

Baki scowled, but then a deep chuckling could be heard.

"That wont be happening Hayate."

Hayate's eyes turned towards the right, to see that Kabuto was stationed on a roof.

"Kabuto, so you're working with Suna as well?"

"Yes, that's right. But it doesn't matter if you know, because you wont be alive for much longer. I can assure you of that. And that help you think is coming, I already killed that person long before they could get any help."

Hayate tightened his hands on his blade, and looked between Kabuto and Baki.

If it was one on one…

But with two strong Ninja such as these, then he knew it was going to be tricky.

Hayate didn't give up, and turned his sword onto Kabuto, launching himself closer, and swung his sword for him, which he blocked, and as he did, Baki moved his hands and swung out several blades of winds for Hayate.

Hayate was forced to dodge out of the way, and ran towards the area Ryouta was.

But before he could fully dodge them all, suddenly Kabuto waved through some hand signs.

"Water Release, Water Dragon Jutsu!"

Creating a Dragon made out of a nearby water source, the Dragon came for Hayate, who grit his teeth and swung out his sword to slice through it, but Baki's wind blades cut through his body fro his right hip, to his left shoulder, several different ones making those intense cuts.

Kabuto's water Dragon then slammed deep into Hayate's body, smashing him into the ground.

Hayate cried out in pain as blood erupted from his being.

Dyeing the ground red with his blood, Kabuto appeared above him, and his hand lit up with chakra, forming it into a scalpel. Hayate's worried eyes went towards the glasses wearing man.

"Don't worry, these wont hurt a bit. Just going to make sure you can't spoil anything for us."

Hayate's eyes widened with fear.

His mind cast back to the person that he cared for the most.

Yugao.

Just half a minute later, Kabuto felt Ryouta coming closer, he held a kunai to Hayate's neck, and called out as Baki hid his face once more in case.

"Ryouta-kun, if you try anything now, then I'll slice through his throat."

Kabuto's dirty smirk was caught by Ryouta's eyes.

While he was fast, with how close he was to Hayate's neck, if he made a single mistake then he'd be taken out.

"That's a good boy, now come out of hiding."

Ryouta exhaled, and did just that.

Ryouta looked over Hayate, seeing that he had deep slices across his body. It looked like he wasn't able to move his arms, or legs at much, if at all. Ryouta even saw that he had suffered some injuries to his neck, but he couldn't tell how deep they had gone or what Kabuto had done to him.

Revealing his form, Kabuto smiled.

"There you are Ryouta-kun. It's nice seeing you."

"I can't say the feeling is mutual."

Kabuto let out a small laugh.

"My, quite the harsh words. I thought we were friends...wait, no. You never trusted me, did you?"

"I guess I have an intuition when it comes to sensing out people with evil intentions. Been doing it all my life."

Kabuto continued to laugh.

However, Ryouta didn't find this funny.

What's more, what he saw on Hayate…

He couldn't quell the rage that was building inside of him.

"What have you done to Hayate-san? Those wounds...you're too cruel."

Ryouta knew that if they wished for Hayate to be dead, then he would be by now.

But the fact that the wounds looked deep, yet not enough to kill.

The pain on Hayate's face, in ways it felt just like Orochimaru's doing, how sadistic it was to torture Hayate.

"I just made sure that he can't bother us while we talk. So, why don't you be a good boy, and come with me?"

Ryouta shook his head, as he thought about what to do next.

"Your Oto friends have been defeated."

Ryouta said, wondering if he'd have any reaction to that.

So Kabuto spoke in a manner that was cold, and distant.

"So? They are nothing to us. All I needed them for was to distract you for a few moments. These few precious moments, it allowed me to do my best to hide this from those sensory types, and from eyes view as well, you and your bombastic Jutsu's Ryou-kun. They served their duties well as expendable Pawns. I knew they were trying to kill you, and I knew they'd not have a snowballs chance in hell, all they were good for is a minor distraction, that's all."

Ryouta shook his head.

Hearing Kabuto's words, he was disgusted.

"You really don't care. I shouldn't expect anything different from someone that align themselves with Orochimaru."

Kabuto wasn't surprised that Ryouta knew that.

"It wont do you any good knowing anything, because whether you like it or not, I will kill this man if you don't do as I say...hmm, doesn't he have a lover? What's her name...Yugao is it? Perhaps I'll go and capture her next, and torture her if you don't come with us."

Ryouta tightened his hand, seeing Hayate beginning to cry.

But his voice was silent.

It seemed that he didn't have the ability to speak for some reason…

Then it clicked.

Kabuto had done something, with the injuries on his neck, being so small, Ryouta wondered if Kabuto had any medical knowledge as doing that quickly and precisely without killing someone would be a task for someone that knew the human body so well.

"You will not touch her."

"Hmm, so are you going to come with me then?"

Ryouta looked towards Hayate.

Then towards Kabuto.

"Kabuto, before I do, let me ask one thing."

"What is it? And oh, if you think about stalling for time, I will kill this man so this is your only question."

Ryouta guessed Kabuto would say something like that.

"Fine...then Kabuto, I don't have a question. It's more of a statement really."

"I'm listening."

"Then, basically. What it boils down to is...did you think that I'd be stupid enough to come in from one way and make it so obvious that I was there?"

Kabuto became perplexed…

But then widened his eyes when he suddenly saw another Ryouta coming in from the right hand side, Baki took to using his wind, but the clone dodged one strike, with another coming for him at close range.

Hitting the clone hard with the wind, it suddenly erupted in an explosion.

An explosive clone.

"Shit...he hid that quite well..."

Kabuto was stunned, and was forced to move away from Hayate as the explosive force ripped through the area.

Baki was sent flying backwards, while Ryouta flashed between Kabuto and Hayate, sending out a kick for Kabuto which he blocked with both arms, and then grabbed Hayate's body, hauling him over his shoulder, and tried to make a retreat to get Hayate out of danger.

However, Baki jumped up, and silently went to move his hands to send out his wind blades.

"..."

Hayate, though he couldn't speak, with the last of his strength, threw a kunai with precision, enough to pierce Baki's hand, giving Ryouta the time to impale the man through his stomach.

"Gwaaaah!"

Baki's eyes widening at the sight, before Ryouta swung his sword down with Baki still attached to it, launching Baki off his blade and right at Kabuto.

Kabuto grabbed his body, and threw him away, where he hit the back wall, and coughed out a good deal of blood, but that didn't concern Kabuto in the slightest as he was more concerned with the Uchiha for the moment.

Kabuto looked for Ryouta, but couldn't see him anywhere.

"Shit..."

Kabuto cursed, and knew if he tried anything now, then he wouldn't be able to do anything as he knew he'd be getting tracked, so he grabbed Baki, and began making a retreat.

If he was caught, then it would all be over.

Ryouta rushed away at blinding speeds, and looked towards Hayate, seeing that he was struggling to stay conscious.

Performing some basic treatment with Medical Ninjutsu as he dashed from rooftop to rooftop, his eyes scanned over Hayate's form.

If he didn't have to worry about Hayate, he'd go back and try to take down Kabuto.

But as it was, Ryouta knew that he'd have to retreat, and hope that the other Ninja's of Konoha would be capable of keeping track of them.

"Hayate-san, don't worry, I'll get you to a hospital! Just hang on!"

Ryouta's words reached Hayate.

His hand shakily went into his outfit, and he brought out a pendant.

He passed it to Ryouta, who looked at it, and saw it having engraved with Yugao's name.

"You can give this to her yourself Hayate-san. I know that you will."

Ryouta expressed sadly.

He didn't want Hayate to die, as he had grown close to Yugao as a child, and seeing how happy they were together…

Hayate kept pushing it into Ryouta's hand, so he released a breath.

"I'll keep hold of it, so you can give it to her."

Placing it in his pocket, he continued dashing for the hospital and hopefully to wave some Ninja down and send them after Kabuto...

Just then, Ryouta's eyes widened when he saw something coming from the right hand side.

A blast of sand came for his body, so Ryouta dodged out of the way, and landed on a rooftop.

He saw a whirlwind of sand flying up towards another rooftop facing the one Ryouta was on.

Appearing from a whirlwind of sand, was Gaara herself.

"Gaara-san..."

"I sensed...the bloodlust in the air...the fight, I saw it, I saw everything, the speed, the power, the kindness, everything and I don't understand...I want...I want to know why...I feel like this…!"

Ryouta took a step back, and then looked to Hayate.

Knowing he wouldn't last much longer, Ryouta created a Shadow Clone.

"Take him to the hospital."

Ryouta ordered, the clone obeyed, and dashed off.

Seeing how Gaara didn't even stop the clone, Ryouta knew that was because Gaara's eyes were solely on him.

Gaara's eyes narrowed upon Ryouta.

He knew this time he had to confront Gaara head on, and to finally understand more about the red haired Jinchuriki.

End chapter!

So this chapter focused on the sound and their attack. As most assumed, the sound wouldn't be able to fight Ryouta, but it seems that's what Kabuto planned for, and decided to use that as an opportunity to try and force Ryouta's hand. Fortunately, he was able to think quickly, and get the upper hand before Kabuto was forced to make a retreat. However, during that time, Gaara came onto the scene, and now with Shukaku being known, and seemingly influencing her more and more, she's going to be going after Ryouta! So we'll see how that goes~

Finally, there's a poll on my profile, if you'd like to vote, please do, and thanks to those that already have!
